So.. Celia Ripley, huh? Not at all connected to Lynne Hammond, the girl who specifically changed her name to Celia after losing her memory? No? Not even if they have the same voice actor? Alright. But I'm keeping an eye on you Ms. Ripley.

There are at least 31 leverage/the old guard crossovers on AO3 and yet I’m pretty sure none of them have gone the objectively funniest route wherein the third act of TOG goes entirely off the rails because Parker Hardison and Eliot were halfway through scamming Merrick and happen to have already been in the building when Andy gets dragged in

I keep seeing people suggesting that Grian's going to be the first to go against hermit permits and I don't think they understand that it was Grian's idea

so as somebody who loved house md as a teen and browsed the edges of the LJ house md fandom i’m definitely not like. mad or anything about the resurgence in popularity, and i am sure that the fandom has been out there since last i looked in that direction, but what i am wondering is why the resurgence. why is it all over tumblr right now?
is it the absence of sherlock/watson dynamic current shows? i think it might well be.

Adding my belated two cents to the discussion of Rhaenyra's four-legged dragon banner vs Aegon's two-legged dragon:
I did some digging, and the following shots are all from Episode 1.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So I get what they're going for, visually speaking - creating continuity, establishing Rhaenyra as the one following the traditions of their ancestors, and making Aegon the odd one out.
Except the four-legged dragon is a show invention. Daenerys uses it when she sails for Westeros, but nobody else does. In the books, the dragon always has two legs, no matter which Targaryen is using it. Rhaenyra, Aegon, the Blackfyres, everyone. There was no four-legged dragon for Jaehaerys or Viserys or Daemon.
Doesn't it undercut your whole message about rightful heirs and continuity if you use retcons and revisionism to make it happen?

The thing that frustrates me most about the whole stay at home girlfriend thing is that the women making that kind of content presumably have their own income from tiktok ads and whatever other influencer shit they're doing, but the young women and girls they're glamourizing this lifestyle to may not, and are being encouraged to put themselves in a potentially extremely vulnerable position

One thing I haven’t seen talked about in Nimona is how young Ballister and Ambrosius are! Like we can debate their ages and all, but what I’d rather focused on is how they’ve only just got out of training by the time all those horrible things happen in the movie. They’re not the well-seasoned fighters they are in the novel. We’ve got Ambrosius getting distracted by autographs, and that asshole knight (whatever his name is) being himself, and Ballister clearly out of his depth while trying help Nimona and her arrow (dude. that is not what you should be doing with an arrow in someone’s leg). These knights are still learning, and it really makes the movie quite different than the novel. It’s refreshing, in a way, and arguably more impactful as these men struggle to learn not only what the Institution is but also how to just get through life and their jobs
