the next morning he would let you steal some food from his plate to thank you
maybe even take you for a swing, only if you promised not to cut off blood supply to his arms
all in all, miles n his younger sibling's relationship would be very funny to watch but also very sweet <3

- Durge/Tav painting astarion in gold, and feeding him blood in a hedonism date night. he thinks the gold paint is just for tav. But he keeps saying "i just want you to see yourself as i see you." And stuch things.
He leads him to a giant ass mirror and lo and behold, there he is. In the flesh. The colors arent there of course. Hes looks like a statue, but its still...its more than the statue, its more than a portrait.

-comic: Astarion is walking with the gang. He looks up to see something and narrows his eyes. He suddenly bursts into bats, flies up onto the space he was trying to peer at and reappears in a panic. Somethin like....

-comic- Volothamp talking to tav about a rat exodus from "a mysterious "red castle" " where their bretheren kept going missing. So they gave up the territory and moved to a "red cave" just beneath it, where blood flows even more freely.
Astsrion recognizes the palace, and remembers a time where rats were in such short supply that cazador had simply switched to insects for a while. Well with astarion he had, the rest had been treated to cats and dogs, in order to lessen the threat against the local rat population. Durge in the meantime, has an odd memory about commanding rats to find reconnisance if they wish to find safety with (fuzzy writing that doesnt quite translate to words)
-Astarions ascension but its happy with evil hugs.
-Durge reacting to the gnoll birth holy hells that was funny.
-Durge eviscerating astarion while he arches off the ground as if in ecstacy rather than pain. Theyre both laughing in wild, crying hysterics and theres those timasks spores everywhere.
-Comic: A -Astarion in the mirror frowning and looking distressed, even a little pissed in a mini panel, as he pinches a small amount of belly fat. Hes a very healthy weight but like 200 years o trauma dawg. Next pannel he looks thoughtful (considering that hes never had enough to eat before to warrant gaining rather than steadily losing weight), third panel he looks up in a catlike manner and fingertip taps his stomach near his hip. Very silly smug cat face meme feels here
-Chaste kiss canon durgestarion/tash vs nasty canon durgestarion/tash
-Comic of vellioth uncovering mummystarion from crypt.
-Comic of astarion fucking posessed n bound durge in the shar library.
-An archer in general doing leg archery. Maybe two goofballs doin it at each other with silly faces. I can see any combo of minsc and lazel and astarion doing this weirdly enough.

-That moment when astarion is blissed out in the sauce under durge in the grove. Maybe a pov where theres drops of blood mid fall, and theres two hands smearing it all over his chest.

-Gortash with his hand inside a lasceration in durges belly, squeezing himself off all slowlike inside durge. bloody handprints everywhere, though some have turned to black sooted handprints. Theyre kissing all disgustin

this is an essay (oops) so readmore B') tons of ramblings especially about the concept, origins, and brainstorming of ace below
🍀 - What originally inspired the OC?
so when camp entre (truffula flu) was in its death throes, i kinda saw the end coming over the horizon and was already thinking "well, i'm really attached to a lot of the things we've done here what if i made an original webcomic based on that" and so i had to start populating it
well originally i made andrew to be in entre's spot and he was literally deoncelerized entre (until 2019 when he rly became his own thing w just some similarities) and i'm literally swagtre-obsessed til i die so i was like well obviously i want to recreate a similar dynamic so i literally made ace to be andrew's love-interest and foil. that's why i include swag as one of his inspirations and it's..kinda obvious too. but trufflu swag-mod was fine w the obvious inspiration so it's all good
it was like a decade ago i did this so things are fuzzy but i remember when things really Hit me was when i remembered(? or someone mentioned? i forgor. just basically i ended up watching) Ferris Bueller's Day Off and it literally smacked me in the face like i know Exactly what i want to do for this character now. i threw in some eddy from eene and kuzco from emperor's new groove and boom. i had him.
(i cant find my original drawings of him rn but he just. looked like some Dude at the beginning lol)
✨- How did you come up with the OC’s name?
now we get to the next part of ace's development. so when i made him he was kinda just..on the backburner but! i got the idea to try and put him in thneedville/thornville high and develop him there, but i Also wanted there to be more girl charas in the au and i was like "well i think his personality would be really interesting in a girl chara" so i made him a girl for my concept for that au
him and his twin (was gonna be run by spike/rocky's mod) they were Ace and Anna (i think..) he still has the kinda original look here even if i made it a bit more feminine. he also doesnt have a twin anymore. i joke he absorbed her in the womb and that's why he's so lucky.
bc the thing i kept was when i originally made him (cis male), his name was gonna be Dwayne and he just chooses to go by Ace bc its a cooler name. and when i made him a girl his name was gonna be equally embarrassing so he..still ended up going by Ace. (i kept it. it's his deadname now LMAO) bc after the highschool au was a Flop for me, i was like well no i want him to be a guy again but decided to make him trans bc i didnt have a trans chara yet and i thought it was Time, especially as a trans man myself, to have a chara with those sorts of experiences like me :3
i was attached to the name Ace bc 1. its fkn cool 2. i always knew i wanted him to be asexual so. the puns 3. there's a lot more puns to be made w a name like Ace and it just fit his demeanor and stuff and the way he loves doing stuff with cards (cardtricks, poker, etc) there's a lot of weight on his name being Ace and i love it
his full name is Ace Dale Miller. and it was meant to sound redneck af. being someone born n raised in mississippi, i know the culture very well LMAO and so his middle name is bc his dad (regardless of being born afab) gave him that middle name bc of Dale Earnhardt. and Miller comes from the beer of the same name. bc that was a thing i wanted was his discontent and disconnect from his roots but never fully escaping them
🌼 - How old are they? (Or approximate age range)
in his mainverse (zombie apoc comic whenever that happens) i keep him early-mid 30s and typically that's the age-range i default to and have done the most to Set Up for. i like him being old enough to make a name for himself and be Set (before whatever plot happens to tear it all apart) and also being in that age but having the tendencies of a manbaby. it's funni to me
however in the cult au i want to eventually get running on a blog, he's going to be a senior in high school and being a teen is the general age-range i go for for that au
🌺- Do they have any love interest(s)?
i'm a chronic multi-shipper especially with my own ocs, so he's had flings with a lot of my friends' and former-friends' ocs, but the main chara i default to (and is canon in his canon universes) is Andrew :3
he was literally created to go with him so. ya.
exposes my obvious swagtre-redraws but acedrew. the Original Vision
but like i said i'm always down to clown with any oc with him at any time. he's just hard to love and hard to get to realize he loves. so everyone has to be prepared for that LMAO
🥊 -What do they love to do? What do they hate to do?
his favorite things to do: be right, be correct, other people be wrong but not him, mobile games like candy crush, poker, card-tricks, darts, billiards, blackjack, craps, you get the idea he likes to gamble and do stuff you find in bars, he also likes singing, he also likes getting his way by any means necessary like it's a thrill for him to outplay and even manipulate other people so that things end up in his favor when luck isn't already working for him, he likes to show off but only when it works and people fawn over him for being so cool and skilled. oh yeah he also lowkey likes pranks and trolling ppl but he doesn't do it a ton? so i wouldn't call him A Prankster, but he does enjoy it.
he hates doing things that are the opposite of all that. like he hates being wrong, loathes losing, he hates being bored, hates getting dirty, hates too much manual labor, hates being inconvenienced especially in the smallest ways (but he does like a Challenge so this isn't the same thing as that), he hates emotions especially confronting or even recognizing his own that aren't happy good time emotions, he hates crying (him or other ppl)
the thing about him is he complains and bitches and moans about the smallest shit but if something Big and Serious were to happen to him either emotionally or physically, he'd play it off like he's fine. he's okay (he promises). like he'll whine about a paper cut all day but catch him with a mortal wound tearing through his middle and he'll hide it and march on til the blood-loss gets him. he's just That Guy.

Oh man it's been awhile and uhh i didn't flesh out much of it so this is the ones i got so far..?
For starter, Danny is mostly the madoka equivalent. The one that try to protecc ppl with his power but always end up getting corrupted and turned into the Walpurgish Night (not how it works on the actual show but ghostking walpurgish night design was rly cool so ye)
I don't....actually have Danny's magia design now that I think about it..
Jazz is the Homura equivalent here, trying to safe her brother from turning and kept failing over and over and over again :))) Eventually got confronted by Clockwork and they both try to figure out how to safe danny so Jazz won't fuck up the timeline by going back in time over and over again
She's the one who uses bow instead of Danny and after many loops she has become very good with it qwq
Clockwork also has time power but he's role is still making sure the timelines are stable and couldnt figure out what fcked it up until the comic with jazz going back in time in front of him
He also guarding Pariah's sarcophagus in his.. lair? sorta? Keeping Pariah in stasis so he won't go berserk or gets more corrupted :33c
Both Clockwork and Jazz went to the same college and that's how they meet in this AU. Also CW works under the Observants kyuubei here and this is how they look like lmao

So.. I have two dp OCs, Levi(athan) and 31. And we were joking that they can have the sayaka and kyouko equivalent (but like.. familial) and so we got angst lol
Levi is the kyouko, feral, will bite if given the chance, fun guy. His magia form is a king themed and he fights with swords bc it's fun~
31 (Drake in this AU) is the sayaka. As in, his wish was more for others than himself, it back fired bad, and he end up falling into despair and turned into a witch and they gotta kill him :)))
Levi and Drake aren't blood related siblings. It's more like.. they both adopt each other and now they're brothers no take backsies
Which made it even worse when Drake turned into a witch. Because his wish was for a his actual family to get along and be happy but it was just doomed from the start and he was in denial about it qwq
There's a whole tangent about movie plot one
Where the casts were trapped in a dream and they had a bit of dilema bc the dream was a nicer place than the real world bc here everyone who died has came back.
And in that one, Levi and Drake can spend way more time as brothers and hang out more than they were in real life and it's jsut super bittersweet for these two im o(TヘTo)
There's also a side bits with Quizz (kawaiijohn's oc) and Levi bc OCTP uwu I didn't actually ahd the time to draw them but i did commissioned sai for it and it's so cute 🥺🥺

i completely get that fear T_T esp since im scared my work will get misinterpreted or ppl will be mad that the queer rep isnt specifically tailored to them.. also like. looking at the way boyfriends comic has been treated terrifies me. like ppl have mercilessly torn that thing to shreds and i have seen almost 0 critical reasons as to why, coming from someone who hasnt read it it sounds like they just hate soft gay ppl T_T
idk anything abt the boyfriends thing (yes ive seen the accusations but they always immediately get debunked?? but idk) so yeah i agree, just feels like ppl put the standards of like mainstream media made by corporation and public figures onto some random internet person making a pastel uwu boy gay comic, and thats kinda exactly what im worried abt
not still talking abt boyfriends here bc again idk abt this, but ppl always talk about how you shouldnt put the same standards on lgbt indie creators but like it always happens every time anyway, and by the same ppl who say that too, its wild. and its not even actual criticism most of the time its just public ridicule
not even nescessarily original stuff either this happens with "cringy" fanart that gets big now too, even if there are actual concerns to be had with whatever its about, its always stuff that the creator never rly wanted outside their personal bubble being shared around as memes and its just like, man i dont give a shit what ppl draw cutesy fanart abt in their free time it doesnt matter cries, privacy is dead bro, i miss stuff being contained in specific forums and stuff so much, and dont even say that they shouldnt post it then bc man artists are starting to feel this with literally ANYTHING that might not be completely neutral sanitized stuff. and this is the website that constantly goes "you guys are pushing artists out by not interacting w them :'(" you guys r pushing artists out by being snobby and annoying actually

Hmmm this is a tough one because I honestly don’t do/think of crossovers very much? I rly like working within a piece n finding things to expand on inside it. I may unfortunately have to go w the boring answer of I probably wouldn’t JNDBDBD It’s not like I don’t read stuff either but I’m not exactly a literature man in my passions as reading takes a lot of brain power, so idrk any quotes or overarching things id try to tie in? This is honestly kinda interesting to me on its own that I just. Don’t have anything. But ig that’s just how it is fhdhdjbd I’m not rly a crossover or references dude I suppose.
Maybe something with Miguel/2099 stuff and Terry from Batman Beyond? Somth ab future versions of characters n legacies n Terry’s thing of helping an older roughened guy care ab ppl again, and the fact that he had spiderman inspo in his making, idk. But that’s more just a musing more than anything serious.

I have many n don’t have one (I have a super hard time with single favorite characters) so I will not be giving all of them n just give some rapid fire thoughts from across the board.
I love trans Miguel O’Hara and Gwen Stacy esp from the spiderverse movies as I think those readings of them are a very thematically appropriate and fascinating way to explore them, and I love trans people
Comics Steven from MK paints the body’s nails and gets them regular manicures/pedicures/hair care treatments, etc n has an extensive collection of Bath and Bodyworks soaps and scrubs and lotions. They also have semi-sensitive skin and he’s very aware of ingredients and what will work for them
Hera w359 is aLso such a trans woman to me there is so much ab the self and holding it and creating it and breaking from the miles people tell you to stay in and finding the humanity in yourself and creating a new sense of self outside of programming and the literal voice someone forced you to have. I love her so dearly and aUGGH
Show!Steven from MK has a record player and is very careful about taking them out of the sleeves, but not careful about how they end up stacked up. Jake does CDs. Marc downloads random tracks onto their phone or only listens via YouTube (not YouTube music just looking up on YouTube)
🫐—What’s your favorite underrated thing in your fandom? (A ship that only you seem to write for, a character there’s almost no fics about, a trope that criminally hasn’t been written yet, etc.)
Well this isn’t rly underrated bc stuffs still kicking off but if someone hasn’t already, a timeloop fic for ATSV Miguel would slap absolute ass. I’m also on the (sort of but also not always?) rare train of genderqueer jake, and ofc the very rare train of some-flavor-of-transfem Marc. Also love non binding and non top op trans men/mascs and would lOve to see that around more. I’m also someone who does a lot of inhuman body exploration which while not uncommon in the big scheme I find a way to work into a lot of my headcanons for characters at some point and can be a huge draw (like to Ted n Jack from wwbn, the MK sys with weird Khonshu body effects and differing levels of human connection, or Miguel w his many mutations n differing levels of spider ppl connection).

YOUYRREWWWWEEE BRUNO VS FUGO POSTT I never even considered the dynamic before but im rly glad u liked my art I was def considering drawing sr reader comics of just random ass scenarios to help myself relearn art since i draw sparsely,,, I revisit ur blog here and the nostalgia just truly hits <3 its cute that sr is just ur casual series but I did get hit w that art wave bc I was following sr so long! im glad my lil comic dusted off that lil blurb for u i love a lil doodle and i was worried brunos eyes looked wonky… 😵💫I hope one day youll revisit meet the parents if thats ok to say but even if u dont ur other series make so many other ppl so happy that I dont even mind getting notifs abt chrollo even if I find him frightening in all aspects xoxo
in the early days it was mostly bruno and fugo trying not to throw hands... oh man... if only they knew how good they had it at the time 😔 SR reader went from dividing her attention between them 50/50 to dividing it between six people . it was a simpler time.
AAA scarlet ribbons feels really nostalgic to me too?? i guess that makes sense since i started posting about it in the summer of 2020, i just never realized i could feel nostalgic for something from two years ago hjkemgr i'm glad it has that nice cozy vibe for you too! it's pretty much the only thing on this blog that gives warm fuzzies. everything else is... hmm what'd be the opposite of that... cold... pricklies ?? that doesn't sound right but you get what i mean.

life is strange true colours review
the non spoilery part: i LOVED this game, my personal fave game this year and the first franchise entry since the original that has really resonated with or moved me.
it's a life is strange game through and through, so if you don't like slice of life episodes or bonding with NPCs, it's not gonna be for you. but if you like the franchise, or even if you liked the first game but haven't been interested in/liked the other two instalments, i recommend giving this one a chance. i think it got closer to figuring out the formula while still doing something new and interesting.

alex
holy shit i love alex? bisexual chad... my darling... i'm gonna be real, a lot of the trailers and promo for this game made me worried she'd be kind of a dull wallflower Soft Girl character, but she's not! she's so funny, and even parts of her characterization i initially thought were maybe a bit of a stretch ended up making sense as i learned more about her. she stole the show. i straight up forgot how much loving the protag helps enjoyment of these kinds of games lmao ... finally a reason to click on everything in the room: to hear what alex will say about it.
i thought her backstory exploration in ep 5 especially was wonderful and emotive and great. broke my heart and explained so much about her :( baby girl
plot/choices
i loved the mystery. i don't think it was quite as Mysterious as the mystery in lis1, but that was okay, i was still invested in solving it. i also got invested enough in the NPCs around the town to make all the exploration bits really fun. i loved eavesdropping on the sagas of the random NPCs like bald man and ice cream couple... just fun little touches and narratives to follow that i enjoyed.
i really appreciated this script not being afraid to shy away from some messier emotions, even if in some cases i wish we spent more time on them. for example: alex feeling a bit jealous of the other people in town that got to know gabe better than her/spend more time with him than she did. or charlotte hating ethan!!! my jaw dropped, i thought that was so good, what a messy but realistic response.
I'm not entirely sure what all the ramifications of different choices are at this point, fresh off my first play. i ended up getting only part of the council to stand with me (eleanor & duckie) while losing pike and charlotte.
i do wish we saw a bit more fallout or exploration of what taking away emotion DOES. i took charlotte's anger, and obviously it meant she didn't stand up for me in the council meeting, but where does she go from there? does she like... ever return to feeling emotions lmao... I also think we probably should've had the opportunity to do that another time, instead of just 2 isolated events -- I think Diane would've been a good candidate.
the romance
i romanced steph, ofc, but i was surprised during the game how drawn i was to ryan too -- i really liked that Drama of him being the one who cut Gabe free, as well as later the drama of him being Jed's son. UNTIL HE DIDN'T BELIEVE ME... that made me mad lmfao, i have to learn what to do to make him believe me before i play a Ryan route bc i'll kill him lmfao.
the steph/alex romance was sweet... it didn't really, like, Consume Me as a ship, but by the end of the game I was still "aww"ing at their moments in the flashforward. steph was more rounded and flawed than i thought she might be, which i really appreciated! i was worried they'd just make her perfect idealized gf, but she has a bit of a temper and is kind of tempestuous and stuff... liked it. loved her standing up for alex so fiercely and immediately at the council meeting <3 and my main reservation about her in ep 4 was that i wanted alex to stay in haven, so when she offered to stay i was thrilled LOL
one semi-complaint i had was that something i loved so much about lis1 was how max and chloe's relationship was central to the entire game and story, it wasn't some extra thing on the side, it WAS the game... whereas here, the romance routes, especially steph's, felt like sidequests. I wish they'd found a way to incorporate those relationships a bit more into the main goings-on. I also wanted to spend more time with either romance option to feel like I knew them better -- splitting the time between Steph and Ryan means that
I came away feeling like I didn't get quite as much of either of them as I would've liked, vs spending almost the entire game with Chloe lol.
however, this ended up not really bothering me too much because I DID really like the core mystery and themes, the exploration of grief and Emotion, etc.
other characters
considering everyone knew going into the game that gabe was going to die, i was impressed with how they did it, and how they managed to get me attached to gabe in a mere single episode. it's a tall order to introduce a character designed to die, who your audience KNOWS is going to die, and still make them work.
i thought this supporting cast was ... maybe the strongest in the franchise? or at least, they created scenarios where i felt invested in multiple people in the town, and was genuinely trying to build decent relationships with most of them. duckie cracked me tf up, i liked eleanor and riley, even diane and jeb were good for their roles. (fuck pike. i signed ur stupid thing and left your emotions alone and you still won't do shit? ACAB!!!) the choice to stay in haven or leave was a little harder than i expected honestly, considering how quickly i let arcadia bay burn to the ground lmfao.
gameplay/etc
also i know the whole internet has been dunking on "empathy" as a super power since the game was announced, and i get that it sounds corny and looks corny in the trailers, but i thought how they did it was really cool. i wish they'd branded it "Mindreading" more than empathy tbh because a lot of the cooler elements of it are more along those lines... using her power to manipulate people, potentially taking people's emotions away and what that does to them... very interesting imo!
i really liked the memory feature!!! cool way to give us character exposition and inform the story while encouraging exploration. finally a collectible that like, expands the story, instead of chloe drawing butts on the wall and sean taking 10 years to draw something.
it's definitely the most evolved-feeling LIS game, which it should be, given it's the newest. graphics looked really nice, loved getting to see the characters actually emote, even if there are still some scenes that were a lil comically blank-faced -- usually NPCs. i actually noticed this with Jed the most, which in retrospect maybe was somewhat intentional?
i had a number of visual glitches, nothing major but a little silly, like T-posing Alex, npcs t-posing in the windows, etc. i'm sure they'll get patched out soon.
anyway... i rly liked this game, i'm excited for the steph dlc and finally feel like i have reason to be optimistic about future LIS instalments. hooray!

Ok but I was always wondering (btw I don't think this is an x reader thing but you can make it idk) how would Michael be if instead of being sent to smith's grove sanitarium he just got therapy like normal ppl and now he is a "normal" 21 year old? Like maybe he gave up on the idea of killing but he is still kinda quiet and distant?? Idk I just want an AU where he gets actual help bc man deserves better

- So first of all he didn't kill his sister and her boyfriend. He thought about it though. He told his mother and she immediately went to get him actual help, rather than locking him up. He gets therapy and treatments. he's not 'evil incarnate', he's just mentally ill.
- He picks up drawing while getting treated at a young age, he uses it to vent his frustrations. Later on he picked up writing, as I think he'd read a lot.
- He collects comics n stuff
- He's still quiet and reserved. He has a hard time talking to people he doesn't know, especially in public where there's a bunch of eyes on him constantly. Like someone could ask him for directions and he'd be like "yeah" and speed walk off somewhere.
- I think he'd have a dog or cat or sm. and I just KNOW HE TALKS TO IT BRHUUHH
- "Should I go to the store and get this or nah :/"

- I think he wouldn't rly like a lot of horror movies bc a lot of them make mental illness a villainous thing

- As far as romance goes... I think he'd meet his s/o in a park or something. The park he frequents is usually empty due to the gloomy atmosphere so he kinda goes there to chill and read. If he has a dog then goodie! He takes them out to run around there.
- You took your own pet to the empty park to chill but they run off and you can't find them. Oh no!
- You notice a lone man sitting on a bench, reading a book. Brown curly hair, strong jaw. Good looking, in your opinion. He's reading something you recognize, but you don't want to be weird by pointing it out to him.
- If you're introverted and awkward, he'd probably be more open to interaction; someone like him, you understand.
- If you're extroverted... He'd probably be intimidated.
- So you go up to him and you're like "uhh have you seen an (animal) around? I just lost them,"
- He didn't but he offers to help look. This might sound contradicting to being introverted but it's a one on one interaction, nobody else is around. Saves himself the embarrassment of prying eyes.
- About 15 minutes of walking around, calling out for them, and talking, you find them. You're overjoyed, and Michael is glad you've got your companion back.
- You tell him you can return the favor, he declines but you insist. You'd feel bad if you didn't. So you buy him dinner from his favorite place n you join him.
- You guys talk n stuff n you guys click!!

What types of fanworks do you create?
i make digital or traditional art as will as writing fanfics. digital art’s super satisfying when you’re proud of the final piece. i’ve recently started to delve into fic writing once again and actually post finished pieces instead of letting wips pile up. i almost got a creative writing minor in college so it feels nice to use the skills my professor gave me to write fanfic haha
What are your favourite types of fanworks, when you’re not creating?
ive only every received art or fics but honestly anything that shows the creator took time and effort along with passion is good for me. its so fun to see how creative other folks can be because honestly sometimes i don’t feel all that creative
What do you like in particular about this fandom?
the fandom is so vast and i love how friendly most of the members seem to be. there’s lots of content to consume, whether you’re into the netflix series or the comics (or even the 2003 movies). plus it’s all interconnected and i just really love how it all ties together.
Do you like participating in fan events?
i love participating in them but oh my god i’m horrible with time management. i thought to myself this time around “oh ill be better this time i got tons of time on my hands cuz of the pandemic and i don’t have a job currently” and then i ended up just… not starting til december and dragging my feet when writing…. lmfao
What about your creating process?
ohh good question. i work very sporadically: sometimes ‘ill do something all in one sitting (mostly art) but sometimes i’ll work in chunks scattered throughout weeks (mostly fic writing) which is a pain cuz then i have to go back and make sure everything connects and it doesn’t look like it was written in pieces lol. i have sooo many wips that barely ever get finished…. i enjoy writing or drawing to music but if i’m drawing i can watch something else like a tv show or youtube videos. the best thing to get the creative juices flowing imo is to be inspired by something and strike when the irons hot. forcing yourself to create always ends in burnout in my experience.
Do you interact a lot with other fans?
hmm not really. as nice as the fandom seems, i tend to keep my distance. others are welcome to come talk to me ofc but my anxiety keeps me from approaching others. i like sitting on the sideline and watching. its nice to just be a wallflower sometimes.
Is there any particular piece you’d like to showcase for this post?
hmm i guess i’m most proud of the DDE2020 exchange piece i did which is on ao3: https://archiveofourown.org/works/26226685 it’s shorter than i wanted it to be but it was the first time i’d written frank and also written UST. fratt really set the ground for some of the other pairings i like across my other fandoms. i just see what they had and i’m like “wow there’s something about that UST that’s just *chefs kiss*”
Do you have other fandoms you’d like to talk about?
currently im very involved in creating fan content for My Hero Academia/Boku no Hero Academia. the only reason i got into it was because of quarantine and i was like eh what the hell i’ll start this anime my friends are always talking about. a lot of the ships i like in that have parallels with the marvel ships i like so its nice. also it helps that it’s about superheroes as well. i can tell that the mangaka (who has drawn marvel fanart it’s super dope) was very inspired by western comics when he created it, especially in the spinoff series Vigilantes (which i really like cuz vigilantes duh) where there’s two background characters who are basically just cyclops and wolverine ha. i enjoyed reading about how the co-creators for the spinoff basically watched marvel movies and shows to get inspiration for the series; that made me super happy. i like that even though this particular fandom is my current fixation that it has lot of similarities with marvel/dde.
Is there anything else you want to tell us about yourself?
i sell stickers on etsy and i have a miles morales and a defenders ones up right now (i have it linked in my linktree below)! also i’m really thankful for this exchange event! the admins are always so nice and reach out to me directly it makes me feel special so thanks for that /g [DDE: *blushes* than YOU for participating!]

BLACK BIRD by onion games for nintendo switch!! it’s basically “defender” but with that great onion games/lovedelic art style. it’s really great tho there seems to be some occasional slowdown on the switch.

i have played “virtual boy wario land”, “pac-man VS.”, and “rockstar games presents table tennis”, among others.

this is too long a list but: i’m currently playing BLACK BIRD, super mario 3D world, bowser’s fury, hitman 3 (which i “beat” but am nowhere near finished with), nioh 2 (only just started but rly liked), golf on mars, ACNH. i just bought “The Ninja Warriors Once Again, or: The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors”, ODDWORLD: stranger’s wrath HD, and “Sky Racket” when they were on sale on the eshop recently. i also downloaded SINE MORA EX, might load that up whenever i’m done with BLACK BIRD. i might try to play more cyberpunk 2077 before tim rogers’s review hits (though i didn’t really like the game at all). i rly wanna play more nioh 2 as well. generally, prey (2017), sekiro, RE4, pathologic 2, and rain world.

tetris 99 is just not what i like abt tetris. dirt 5 feels like competitive plastic chewing. forced TAA, crashes, jerkweed voice fuckers spitting in your ear constantly, gross dutch angled race countdown, bogus music 😑 bogus! rockstar games also frustrate me (tho i like RDR2 & table tennis (& i probably like the manhunt games)); those awful menus do nothing but clunk. (having to hit “A” scroll the map in the map tab in GTA V? when the map is the only thing you can interact with on screen? 😑)

god you KNOW i do!!! first of all i celebrate christmas and i dont rly know anything about other holidays this time of year so im just gonna... work on the assumption that they all celebrate christmas, but if anyone who doesnt celebrate or celebrates something else wants to reblog and add their own hcs i encourage it!!! okay this is gonna be so scattered but:
steve never really liked christmas very much. it was always just stressful and he hated having to spend time with his family and he always got like the most generic expensive boring gifts from his parents and it just wasn't really fun... the first christmas he really got into it was the christmas he spent with nancy and after they broke up, he was like oh christmas just fucking sucks!! but then...
that next christmas dustin invites him over for christmas eve and he brings a pie that he bought from the grocery store and claudia thanks him a million times and he wishes that he'd baked it himself so he didn't feel so guilty
dustin gives him a little baseball bat ornament and claudia is like "oh i thought you played basketball!" and steve is like "oh uh i do but i like baseball too :)" and he and dustin kinda smile at each other and steve ruffles his hair and they watch rudolph on tv and steve is like oh christmas.... is good......
speaking of dustin he always starts thinking about christmas gifts in like october but somehow ends up with absolutely nothing on december 20th and he has to run around in a panic finding gifts for the party
he drinks hot chocolate like a maniac... he doesnt drink water the entire month of december it's hot chocolate or it's nothing
hes one of those people who will say "come on it's christmas!!!" on like the tenth
lucas is one of those people who will say "no asshole it's december tenth"
lucas loves christmas!! he just thinks that it's a day and not a whole fucking month!!! he thinks anything before like december 15th is too much
the only thing he hates about christmas is that his parents always make him and erica pick out gifts for each other with no help from them... and since erica is an evil genius she always gets lucas the perfect gift just so she can hold it over his head for the entire year when he accidentally gets her a toy she already owns
she literally watches him open his present like >:) and lucas is pissed when it's this extremely specific action figure that he's wanted for a long time but he swears he never even mentioned it to anybody
and then he just sits there feeling like a stupid asshole as she unwraps a random doll that lucas figured she might like since its hair looks kind of sort of vaguely like erica's and she's like "thanks lucas :) i think i have this one already but it's sweet" and his parents are like "hey it's the thought that counts! erica see your brother knows what you like :)" and she's like "yeah :)" and then as soon as their parents aren't looking she sticks her tongue out at lucas and he sticks his out back at her
the sinclairs have such a disgustingly perfect christmas like they bake cookies together and shit it's adorable
speaking of adorable families the byers house is so full of love on christmas
almost all of the ornaments on their tree are handmade little crafts from when will and jonathan were younger and they buy tinsel at the dollar store and just go fucking ham with it their tree always looks like a hobby lobby threw up
growing up joyce would usually try to get them some things they need on christmas and then like one or two special things for each of them and she could never buy the fancy new toys that were in all the ads on tv and in magazines but she knows her boys.... jonathan got his first camera on christmas and it was from a secondhand store and kind of dinged up and definitely old as shit but he loved it..... will always got some new construction paper and crayons or markers so by the end of christmas day joyce would have new drawings to put up on the fridge or a new little ornament that he made for her.....
sometime in november jonathan would always be like "okay will i have a secret mission for you, you need to find out something mom needs that we could give her for christmas!" and will would be like "you have to say your mission should you choose to accept it" and jonathan would say "well i know you're gonna accept the mission" and will's like "jonathannnnn" and jonathan would be like "okay fine your mission should you choose to accept it" and will would be like >:) im a spy >:)
so little baby will would action roll around the house humming the mission impossible theme and peeking around walls at joyce and then after like a week he'd say "i think mom needs a stool she keeps jumping to try and reach stuff high up in the cabinets" and jonathan's like awesome thanks and he finds a cheap folding stool and some chocolates that he can afford with whatever money he has saved up and he has will wrap it because he figures it's like ten times cuter that way and joyce cries when she sees the little christmas card will put with the stool for her
i'm going way more in depth than i need to thvjdjcd but basically the byers house is all love man... so much love ..... they don't use colored lights anymore they only use the solid strands but they still have fun decorating together and will makes paper chains and stuff to hang up and i'm about to make myself cry

nancy is absolute dogshit at buying presents for people she's just terrible at it. she always just asks mike and holly and her parents what they want and buys exactly what they tell her and if they don't tell her anything then she has like a mental breakdown about it and panics and buys like. a flannel pajama gift set from the department store.
when she's dating steve he tells her not to worry about getting him anything which she takes at face value until her mom asks what she's giving steve like three days before christmas and then she starts panicking and she goes to a sporting goods store and just asks the first employee she sees what a teenage boy who plays basketball might like
steve can't tell if he should be like happy or vaguely offended that his girlfriend gave him like shoe deodorizers and a water bottle and socks for a sports team that he doesn't root for... she tried though and thats all he cares about
she and jonathan agree they'll exchange gifts but nothing over like MAX fifteen bucks which is easy she just finds a tape or a record she thinks he'll like and she's set (she spends a full hour in the music store and almost just gets a gift certificate for him but eventually she just says fuck it and picks some random shit she's never heard of and hopes he likes whatever it is)
mike on the other hand is actually like... insanely good at gift giving because he pays close attention to the people he cares about and he just like Knows if lucas or dustin or will is gonna like something
he just doesnt really buy into christmas all that much?? it's cool to get free stuff and eat cookies and all but he thinks people make it into a bigger deal than it should be
holly still believes in santa though so he likes seeing how excited she gets on christmas... it warms his cold tween boy heart.....
the first christmas he gets to spend with el he turns into a fucking christmas enthusiast and he makes her hot chocolate and gives her a tape full of christmas songs and he asks his mom for a bigger gift allowance because he has a GIRLFRIEND now and she's never- uh, THEY'VE never celebrated christmas TOGETHER so it has to be SPECIAL MOM!!!!
karen is like buddy calm down but it's so nice to see him excited about something again that she caves and gives him like forty bucks and tells him not to tell nancy or his dad
el and hopper christmas... i cannot go into detail or i WILL cry but hopper takes her with him to pick out their tree and she's so meticulous about it like examining all of them and he's just standing there in the cold freezing his ass off letting her do her thing because she's so excited that he doesn't have the heart to tell her they're basically all the same and to just hurry up and pick one
he gives her a lot of books... there are so many books under their ugly fucking tree because el picks one thats extremely crooked because she says it seems nice and hopper cant find any of his old decorations so they have to start from scratch...
el enlists the whole party for help finding hopper a present because it has to be the best present of all time!!!! they're like well what does he like and she's like uh tv.... coffee.... gun...... and they're like uh we can get him a coffee mug?
so on christmas morning el presents him with a "BEST DAD" mug full of candy and he hugs her so she won't see that he's fucking crying
she also gives max a drawing she did of max as wonder woman and it isn't very good but max says it's her favorite present she's ever gotten and she keeps it folded up in her nightstand
max has mixed feelings about christmas
i should not have saved her for last this is depressing
fuck her family fuck all of that okay max spends christmas eve with the sinclairs and christmas day with el because her mom and neil don't really feel like celebrating this year and so for the first time in a long time her christmas is full of love and joy and hopper makes them cinnamon rolls for breakfast which el has never had before and it's great
the party usually does a big gift swap and they don't get each other anything too fancy or expensive but it's sweet... they all gather in mike's basement like the day after christmas and eat the leftovers from the wheelers' christmas dinner and give each other comics and action figures and dice
once robin enters the picture she and steve lowkey get smashed on christmas eve together off peppermint schnapps and they play rockin around the christmas tree like ten times and jump around until they get dizzy...
they give each other little things like every other day leading up to christmas so by the end of december they've exchanged gifts like ten times but it isn't their FAULT okay!!! steve just saw these earrings and thought of her so he got them... and robin couldn't just leave that wham! crop top sitting in the store...... and steve couldn't resist the cheap bff necklaces he found while looking for a gift for erica....... and what is robin meant to do, ignore the stuffed kermit doll she saw in a store window?
it's just unrealistic
i like to think that everybody gathers at the byers house for lunch or dinner on christmas eve... they just hang out and exchange presents and make cookies and watch christmas movies and argue over which ones suck and which ones are actually good...... they just spend time together without any fear or danger and it's good

1) Hiya! Honestly I think it would be best to get comfortable with more realistic proportions before you branch out into cartoon/anime style! I did it the other way round and I regret it a lot, bc I think it made my foundations really shaky and inconsistent. THAT’S NOT TO SAY u have to master the traditional art style before u start drawing any cartoons though!! I think it’s fine to do them together, just don’t neglect traditional anatomy and all that, bc it will help you a lot in the future regardless of the style you eventually choose to stick to!

2) OH I googled around a bit bc tbh I have no idea what they are called too, and I think it’s called the terminator/ half tone?? it’s basically the bit of colour between the light and the core shadow (the darkest part of where the shadow starts)
THe coloured outline of shadows that alot of artists do is an exaggeration of how it looks in rl but it is pretty neat bc it makes the object look like it’s glowing haha

1) I like using poses from magazines to study anatomy!! I either follow blogs that post magazine scans or I buy them myself when i can! Another thing I’ve found rly helpful was using fitness books/ videos as references… like those for muscle-building/ weight lifters, where there are diagrams of which muscles are working for a specific exercise. YOUTUBE has a lot of fitness videos, just type xxx workout, pause the video at any random frame, and u should be able to get a nice reference to study muscles with!! If u want references for the muscles themselves, some good books I’ve found helpful are: Strength training Anatomy and Anatomy for sculptors (I can give them to you off anon if you’d like)!
