i care about my team. i want my team to win. i want my favourite players to stay on my team and when they don’t that’s upsetting. this is not a revolutionary concept.

also the way it all played out was kinda shitty. i knew we would likely lose duhaime, but after losing pat i thought we would maybe get to keep dewar. and when the deadline passed i thought we were ok. hell, even connor thought he was safe. and that he would get to stay with his friends. and then it turns out we lost him at the last second. and that’s fucking gutting.

Like guess what? I Do Not Like Incest. Hell I'll go one step further. I HATE sissy kink. I have personally talked about it in my blog about how I have been personally traumatized by it, how it set back my transition by years, and how I believe it ultimately does more harm than good to trasfem eggs. I have talked about how sissy communities prey on transfem eggs and purposely set up in spaces where transgirls who are discovering themselves the same time they are experiencing puberty and are having a harm time separating their trans awakening from their sexual one frequent and tell them that their trans existence is a sexual one that they should be ashamed and humiliated by. 80% of my notifications on my alternate kink account are cis men with sissy kinks ignoring my DNI. I've called it transmisogyny kink. I reject the notion that cis men with sissy kinks are TMA and there are trans women who I've unfollowed/blocked over this and I know there are trans women who have me blocked about my stance on this.

STILL. I keep all my hostility to myself. I will rant on my own blog about it. If a post trying to lump me in with cissies gets under my ass I will throw it underwater to rant about and keep it to a screenshot with their name cropped outreblog on another rant so it doesn't gain too much traction and leads to any harassment. The MOST confrontational I'll get is going into posts dedicated to discourse about it and arguing with people specifically signing up to argue about it.

hey. i rarely go political in here because it's a space for me to truly chill, hence i am going on here as anon.

the work you're doing is phenomenal. it's affecting a small part of the majority, but it's good work nonetheless. it's tiring to continuously see people hype up the current govt. and not criticise them and their actions — our democracy is falling at a rapid place and all indians are on about is hindu muslim mandir masjid.

no one talks about manipur, no one talks about how almost half the opposition was suspended, no one talks about continous ED summons to anyone who raises a voice. the media channels are puppets, nothing else.

it's tiring to see criticisms of the current govt. actions been met with "what congress did" and no actual replies, only deflections. they are in charge of our nation today, it's important to talk about the present and the future— it's our job as citizens of a democracy to keep the government in check, be aware of their actions and question them when necessary.

We usually don't post about politics on this blog either. We typically do it on our own personal blogs. That's not to say that we kept any and all opinions away from the page either. People that have been following us for a while know that we have occasionally posted something if we felt it pertinent at the time.

I posted something this time because I saw posts circling around with some objectionable content in them and it surprised me because I recognised the usernames. It's a little silly but I typically do remember the usernames of our followers, it's pretty hard not to. You have to imagine the shock and hurt I felt that these were the same people engaging with our posts and enjoying them. Did these people felt like we shared their opinions? Had we somehow fucked up and cultivated that sort of a community? My first instinct was to delete this entire blog, I will not lie to you. The thought that something I was involved in making and curating was somehow fueling followers of Hindutva? I honestly couldn't stand it. After it calmed down, I made a post and a clarification reblog. I expected those users to just unfollow us, maybe send us a curse or two over anon and that would be it.

I'm glad I didn't delete the blog after so many people have confirmed that the community here isn't all like that.

The state of India's politics honestly leaves a lot, A LOT, to be desired. It was exhausting seeing all the fuss about an unfinished mandir when we have so many other important things to talk about. Any sort of criticism or opposition has been completely wiped off the board by the current government and they expect me to care about the mandir? The leader of the nation won't even do an open interview, let alone a press conference. Falling prey to the religious angle of their politics is a folly. People are being coddled and distracted as their own houses burn down. How much longer will this go on? How much worse will this get? These questions haunt me.

Having a silly meme blog was supposed to be a fun activity to break the monotony and mundanity of existence. Turns out, now I have to make sure that this silly thing doesn't get infected by the horrors too.

Life is transiently long and fighting the horrors is a herculean task. I'm grateful for every voice of support because it makes me feel like I'm not alone out here.

I was always indifferent to it, but the sheer spectacle made over it has made me beyond sick of it. In fanworks, Sonic is often made OoC for the sake of the ship, or his side of the matter in general is an afterthought at best, because it's said that Amy deserves his love because "she's earned it". They'll waste valuable question time on the Twitter Takeovers over Sonamy stuff. If Sonic and Amy are onscreen together for even a moment, no matter what it is they're actually doing, everyone will hail it as proof of Sonamy. And of course, they'll go crazy when they actually do tease it, using it to shut everyone else up because "Sonamy is Canon, deal with it", even if that teasing is incredibly minor and fated to never go anywhere.

It's a weird feeling looking at all the Sonamy VS Sonally wars over the decades, and not giving a solitary fuck about either of them. And yes, this was already the case long before a certain cardinal sin was initiated on my end. *coughs over horse noises in the background*

Unpopular opinion about XXX character?

Sonic: I'm sick of people going one extreme or the other with him. He's not Mr. Principles, nor is he completely selfish to the point of only helping others for his own enjoyment. And I especially dislike when fans misinterpret his role in Black Knight and use it to claim that he's a full on anti-hero. No, he's a legit hero and good person who just so happens to enjoy what he does rather than adopting the usual superhero mantra, and has to make the occasional tough decision for the good of the long run for everyone. What's hard to get about that?

Tails: "I'm wildly inconsistent" does not count as fixing him. Neither does repeating the exact thing that Forces!Tails got slack for to an even more inexcusable extent.

Knuckles: The idea that he tries to see the good in people despite his standoffish nature is fascinating to me, and it's a shame that it's only been brought up for the sake of making him look stupid when he falls for another one of Eggman's tricks. It'd be nice if this got delved into more, in a way where it doesn't screw him over for once… Just don't turn him into Principles the Echidna.

Amy: Like @colony-drop-program, I recognize the… importance(?) of Amy's crush on Sonic, but I find all her other traits infinitely more intriguing.

I also wish people would remember Tails was the one who actually blasted his way through Prison Island. It's become common for fans to give Amy all the credit for that one.

Bean and Bark: Not that I'm super invested in them or anything, but I suppose it'd be nice if they got more opportunities to be the good guys they were intended to be rather than always being pigeonholed with Fang as the Hooligans thanks to Archie. Fang strikes me as a loner type anyway.

Shadow: I don't think I'll ever be on-board with him officially joining G.U.N. I'm fine with him forgiving them, and maybe having a connection of some sort with them afterward, but being a full-on agent himself? I dunno man. After his long life as Gerald and Black Doom's tool, I'd rather he carve out a future where he can be truly free, without needing to answer to any superior.

Rouge: She's not a villain. She's not a villain. She's not a villain. She's. Not. A. Villain.

The entire point of her role in SA2 is that, oh shit, she was only pretending to be on the bad guys' side, and ever since SA2, she's been a loyal ally to Shadow and helped out the other heroes with little hesitance on multiple occasions. She may be a jewel thief, she may have her rivalry with Knuckles, but she's proven time and time again that she's a far better person than most people and comic writers give her credit for.

Cream: I've seen some Amy fans hate on her for supposedly stealing some of Amy's traits, but that's a disservice to her. You can have more than one character in a franchise with similar traits, since they can be explored from different angles. Compare this to a character like Eggman Nega, who really is nothing more than a leech who requires the real Eggman to be split in half in order to seem more impressive.

Silver: Of the many reasons why I'm not interested in him, one is that his schtick gets old very quickly. There's always something to turn his future into yet another Bad Future, and after a while it becomes comical how often his efforts to avert one catastrophe and make a Good Future get revoked by the following catastrophe. Combine that with how he has actual friends in the present, and he might as well just stay in the present full-time and kill two birds with one stone… but then fans would complain about him losing something special to him. Cue frustration.

Also, fans can insist all they want that Silver trusting Mephiles was due to sheer desperation, but until they release the Snyder Cut of '06 where this is actually shown, it's nothing more than a headcanon. You can explain writing fumbles with headcanons, but you can't defend them with headcanons.

Elise: She's not a bad character. Underdeveloped, yes, but the hate she receives is largely exaggerated.

Marine: Her accent annoys me far less than Bunnie's. *mic drop*

Eggman: This notion that he needs to be softened up in order to be fleshed out is ironically a shallow one. He was fine the way he was. There's more than one way to expand on a villain.

Also, he shouldn't be underestimated just because he's a human instead of a god, a demon, an alien, etc. Bowser is an overgrown turtle who can breathe fire when all is said and done, and he still came close to conquering the universe on two occasions. If Bowser can do great things, so can Eggman.

Metal Sonic: It's possible to explore his identity crisis without making him turn traitor. If anything, him staying devoted to the guy who is the real Sonic's arch-nemesis adds an extra compelling layer to his insanity.

Lyric: I actually like his design? Yeah, he's still a crap villain and another one to throw onto the Fucks Eggman Over pile, but his design is at least more interesting than Mephiles the Druggie and Dark "Waiter, There's An Eyeball In My Taco" Gaia.

Infinite: Even if he was meant to be played completely seriously, and the idea of him being parodic to at least some degree isn't actually true, he's still a better maybe-parody of tryhard villains than either Scourge or Surge.

Sage: While Eggman using her for his own ends is preferable to him genuinely caring for her, the mere idea and circumstances of her character is something I'm very opposed to. I just don't like anything that could even vaguely be fitted into the role of Eggman's Bowser Jr, because no matter how it's presented in canon, fans will reduce Eggman to little more than Sage's father regardless. And I'm forced to see a shitton of "wholesome" family bonding regardless.

It doesn't help that beyond her relationship with Eggman, she doesn't have a whole lot of character anyway. The Heavies had more character in Mania, and they had no dialogue whatsoever. Black Doom arguably had more character, because at least with him, I can remember that he doesn't know what lightning is.

The Egg Bosses: They don't work. There is no reason why Eggman would forgo his robots in favor of anthros who, despite his ways of keeping them under his control, still talk back at him, something that the doctor has consistently been known to hate. Eggman having one organic right-hand as the Lefou to his Gaston is fine (like Starline or Agent Stone), but anything more than that just feels wrong IMO.

Tangle: Out of all the IDW-exclusive characters bar pre-Flynned Starline, Tangle is the one I'd be willing to give a chance if she were in something where her characterization wasn't exaggerated to the point of having room temperature IQ. I like the basic concept going on with Tangle, with her being well-intentioned but just a tad overeager for her own good, so I feel kinda sorry for how hard she got flanderized. Compare that to many other characters exclusive to this comic, who I instead wish would just fuck off and never return.

Starline: YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE. IT WAS SAID YOU'D SIMP FOR THE DOCTOR, NOT USURP HIM. CAST ASIDE THIS TIRED CLICHE, NOT FOLLOW IT TO THE LETTER. *cries like Ewan McGregor*

Surge: If a character has been shoved in my face relentlessly as the central focus of a character study for over a year, yet I feel as though I know nothing about who they really are by the time it's concluded, I'm gonna say that character might not be very good.

It’s wild, aging out of the age regression community. Wasn’t something I thought would happen, but as soon as you’re an adult and do adult things, you’re suddenly barred from most of the community you grew up in. There’s a reason the age regression community is mostly minors and I do agree that the kink and agere communities should be kept separate for everyone’s safety. But it really sucks being caught in the crossfire, especially when the only people making fun little content are people that explicitly hate you. This is supposed to be a safe space but everywhere I turn there’s a reminder that I’m not wanted here, I’m too nasty and gross and adult but when I go try to find other adults there’s just,,, nothing. I aged out of the community at a time where there’s very little noncom content or activity and all the sfw kink stuff I can find is ddlg specific or otherwise too fem for my transmasc ass to feel comfortable or represented. I think most people moved to Instagram but I’d rather delete that fucking app than get more entrenched in it so that doesn’t help.

It’s not like the agere community is perfect, the obsession with pro- and anti-ship discourse and the way the community has always been violently anti-kink both shows the immaturity of (again, mostly minors) but also, more converningly, shows how a lot of chronically online and/or traumatized people are becoming more conservative and reactionary because the points are dressed up in social justice language. It’s honestly been harmful for my mental health for ages but the activity level of the agere community is what kept me here and overlooking the frankly disgusting parts.

This blog has been where I keep my regression resources for years now and I’m not giving it up or deleting anything but in unfollowing anti-kink or minor blogs or anything else that one or both of us would feel uncomfortable with that interaction I’m left with… nothing. No online community, no edits, no fucking stimboards cause apparently liking weird sex means you’re dirtying the whole place up by existing (you see what I mean about conservative mindsets?) and even random banners that state that your favorite character, specifically, would hate you for your “unwholesomeness”

The worst part is? I did everything Right. I found the kink community as a minor and respected their rules (because minors Shouldn’t be in kink), so I found the agere community and, for a few years there, would’ve agreed with a lot of the shitty anti-kink stuff being spread around (cause if you don’t you’re an Evil Accessory to Pedophilia!) and now I have to stand up and look around a rebuild from fucking nothing, once again. I haven’t even heard mention of dual-community littles in YEARS and it hurts knowing we used to have stuff but I just,,, missed it. There’s no more room for grey areas in this time of increasing polarization and the kids aren’t ok, they’re learning that sex is bad and immoral and people with kinks and fetishes are evil predators who can’t control their urges and desires or indulge in anything without their filth ruining any wholesomeness that was there before and it’s a losing battle to get in internet fights cause that’s never a good option, I’m more likely to be dogpiled than cause anyone to rethink their reactionary politics.

The only good thing to come of this is the fact that there’s a littles meetup I’m going to tonight and the beginnings of a little community where I live. My boyfriend actually sent me the fetlife link cause he’s heard all of this and more as he supports me and learns how to be a caregiver. So hopefully I’ll have less of a need for online community. But that doesn’t mean I’m not mourning what I’ve lost and feeling all the hurts that have added up over the years

Most people who do this arrive at it after decades of chronic diseases that, as it turns out, where mostly caused by metabolic disorders, which is why they're curable with the right diet. You arrive at Carnivore at final fucking last and after you've tried everything because the consensus is always that you can never be too vegetarian. I think somewhere along the way fascists decided that vegetarianism is for soy boys whereas eating meat is for men who believe in Jesus; and then there's also the aspect of always going against the establishment... unless the establishment is Trump saying doctors should open people's bodies up and shine sun light inside them to kill the Covid virus, then it must be science.

The last time I had to unfollow a Carnivore influencer for being a fascist he made a short video redirecting his viewers to another site, where we'd be able to watch what turned out to be an anti-Covid vaccine video. That other site is Rumble, a site that claims to be the censorship-free version of Youtube.

Whenever a site claims to be the censorship-free version of a popular site like Twitter or Youtube, understand: it's a far-right site that is free of democracy and human rights, not free of censorship. Coming from them, censorship means democracy and human rights.

The last time I joined such a site it claimed to be the censorship-free version of pre-Elon Musk Twitter, with more diversity of opinions and more interesting content. What could possibly go wrong, right? Who doesn't want more diversity and inclusivity and less suppression of varied content?

It was an almost exclusively Nazi site for Nazis. I have many and varied interests that I put on my check list and they never showed up on my dashboard. There was no anti-Nazi content, either, just for the sake of "inclusivity", it really was just Nazi anti-semitism 100% of the time.

I finally had enough when I logged in one day and was greeted with a series of photos of a sexy young blond wearing a black mini dress, burning a flag with the star of David. Words can not express to what an extent I did not sign up for this shit.

That's what free from - wink wink nudge nudge - "censorship" means in Anglo-Saxon speak.

So I watched the other video on the Rumble site and it was a conspiracy video about how Covid was never an infectious disease but was only ever transmitted through the vaccines themselves. Before the vaccines came along the hospitals that we were told were loaded with patients were actually practically empty and doctors had little to do, except to put Covid on the death certificates of those who died of other causes. Only by watching videos like this will you ever know the "truth".

This was a guy I had been following for the Carnivore tips.

My diagnosis is that he decided to take a leaf off of the Alex Jones school of financial self-help: you encourage and instill fear and paranoia in your audience and then tell them that they can trust no one else, that you and you alone can tell them what is really going on, and that only you can tell them how to interpret the dystopian reality that they live in; and that only by commenting, liking and subscribing and of course sending you all their money will it be possible for you to continue to do all this important journalism with all the hard hitting facts that proper news stations and the government are hiding from you.

Don't join communities, is all I'm saying. Continue to think for yourself and never trust a guru. Male gurus of any kind (spiritual, vegetarians, carnivores...) are often rapists as well, don't be alone with them. Follow many different sites and don't be afraid to listen to contrarian voices. If I had stuck religiously to any one thing I would never have found the path that works for me.

I don't think I've ever met a group of people who I nominally agree with but also don't want to be associated with at all moreso than the "Fiction isn't reality sweaties" people.

Because they're generally, for the most part, right about things. But good god they're so fucking smug about it. The level of condescension is outright unpleasant to be around or read about or whatever.

People on this website will post about how kindness is smart and being asshole is bad and then turn around call everyone that doesn't agree with their opinions on cartoons a stupid toddler.

And it's not even like they're largely wrong about a lot of the things they talk about. I can't sit here and say "Well y'all are talking bollocks, I'm gonna block/unfollow/just ignore you now," because generally I think they're right about a lot of the things they're talking about. They catastrophise way too hard, teenagers on the Internet not liking your ship isn't a harbinger of the rise of fascism, guys, it's just kind of annoying. People have been bad at media literacy for as long as there's been media to literacy, it hasn't ended civilisation yet, I think we'll be fine if some of the zoomers get a bit puritan for a bit.

And like I said before, it's not like I don't think these people have a point. They do! Often it's a very good one! At least with the annoying people I could just block them and not lose out on anything.

Im just gonna say it cuz its been on my mind for a bit like I follow both proships and antis because I understand where both sides are coming from and I think my take on fandom is pretty nuanced now as I've been in fandom for over 15-16 years. Fiction has SOME effect on reality and we can't enjoy things willy nilly without critically thinking about it. 12. Is there an unpopular arc that you like that the fandom doesn’t? Why?

This is a hard one because the fandom at large likes every arc, it just evens out across the encampments of shippers lol. I feel like the most unpopular arc is probably Glimmer's descent in season 4 which I enjoyed a lot because, I mean, c'mon, getting to see Glimmer not fight with herself and instead just selfishly choose things was fantastic. She really just started doing what she wanted without actually considering anyone else or any other options, and it was so fascinating to watch her go for it after several seasons of this side of her being hinted at.

We can WAAAAAY too much about shipping and want to make it everyone's problem.

I've been in fandoms that break down into smaller fandoms (star wars is by era ususally, zelda is by game, etc) and every fandom I've been in has done a good job of keeping their negative opinions contained to spaces where it's others who share it. She Ra is the first fandom I've been in, and I've been doing this 20 years now, where people really couldn't live and let live because they like this ship and if you don't then you're an awful abusive asshole to fit their narrative of victimhood.

You want to know what one of my favorite rarepair crackships is? Catra/Bow. But if I dared to explore it at all, in any fashion, I'd be murdered. The only fic I've ever taken down due to harassment after posting what an explicit Catra/Bow/Glimmer fic where they, as two consenting adults in a poly relationship, agreed to have sex with one another in large part to turn on their girlfriend Glimmer for her birthday. TERFs found that and gave me hell.

Like, you could probably find some of the really awful and explicit shit I posted when I was 13 and had no fucking business writing explicit fic or posting it, but now I'm locked out of my old accounts and can't actually remove them. But no, let's go wild over the C/B/G fic instead!

Ooooooo, you can probably tell that this pisses me off just because I keep rambling on, but god I'm tired. I'm a multi-shipper, ship what you want to, tag it appropriately and post in appropriate spaces kind of person. Don't like, don't read, and fuck off with your purity bullshit.

13. Unpopular opinion about XXX character? (Entrapta and Catra)

I feel like I don't have any unpopular opinions about Entrapta over all? Probably the most controversial thing is that I like that the Princess Alliance was shown mistreating her by leashing her. It's very much portrayed for laughs, but whether they meant to or not think it helped set up another difference between the alliance and the horde. Yeah, at first she's chained up in the Horde as a prisoner and we see how long that lasted, but she is literally given more trust and freedom with the horde. Where's Entrapta? Who knows! As long as she shows up again at some point we don't care. Is she distracted by tech again? Annoying, but alright she IS the tech person. Then Entrapta goes back to the alliance and once again they are just trying to control parts of her because they don't understand. IDK, I like the contrast of it, so even though it wasn't put in respectfully it gets a weird pass from me.

Unpopular but not in the circles I run? Catra did more than enough for a "redemption" on the show. It is amazing how many people hate that take.

Unpopular within the circles I run? Not sure this counts or not, but Catra really is a lot like Shadow Weaver/Light Spinner, and I don't think we lean into that nearly enough (either in the show or fandom tbh). Light Spinner especially really reminds me of Catra in early seasons, and seeing S5 Catra by the end is like seeing what Light Spinner could've been under different circumstances. But Catra is also a lot like Shadow Weaver, she is not wrong or lying when she says she sees herself in Catra. I think we spend too much time trying to justify why Catra is nothing like her, when they are really very similar. And I think that's a big disservice to the narrative of abuse in the show. No one wakes up one day saying, "Well gee golly, today I think I'm going to start being an abuser!" They slide into it and eventually start making justifications to themself for why it's okay/they're allowed/whatever to do what they do. Catra could've been the next Shadow Weaver easily, pretending otherwise lessens the impact of her choices to try and change her own behaviors and thoughts.

15. Unpopular opinion about the manga/show?

The best friend squad is boring. Sorry y'all, S1 and S2 of the BFS are really not that interesting to me. It feels super basic, and the conflict has to be shoved onto them from other sources to have their dynamic work. I think there should've been more infighting and especially with Glimmer jealousy issues. Like, you don't have to go wild with it or anything, but they only start to become interesting to me in S3 when Shadow Weaver starts fucking shit up in the background.

They are cute and fun and I enjoyed their stuff! They just! Are also! Really boring!

(I used to actively filter out any fic that was too focused on the BFS, Glimmer, or Bow. At times I even blocked Adora because I live for the personal conflict drama and that was only even explored with Catra during S1-2)

15.Unpopular opinion about the manga/show?

I like that TCW never really talks about the way the clones are treated. TCW is mostly set from the perspective of the Jedi Order in some way, and I wish there had actually been more jokes made in show about it to be honest. The way clones are treated is horrifying, objectifying, and disgusting. I wish we could've seen more of how awful they were treated side by side with how no one seems to care.

Yes, the Jedi care about the clones, but they are so busy trying to survive themselves that there's nothing left in the tank to try and help them out in a meaningful way. Some members of the Senate care about the clones, but they are either focused on other peoples lives or are too afraid of losing their army to do anything. I love that. I love how fucked up that is, and I love that there are so many times in TCW that something horrible happens to a clone but then gets overshadowed by something else.

The citadel, of course comes to mind. I really love that there were troopers who died horrifying deaths during that rescue, who's bodies are left behind, who are quickly mourned through a wince and then abandoned. Then a Jedi dies and "Well hang on now, we gotta carry his body and give him a proper farewell!".

It's messed up, and I love it.

I will answer this in good faith, just this once, even tho I am not sure it was sent in good faith, because multiple people have elaborated over and over again why a large part of this fandom is uncomfortable with the circle of excellence competition

1 - the circle of excellence competition was started in response to large parts of this fandom objecting to another fanfic competition (that was done in good faith and taken down when people voiced their concerns over it) which in my opinion feels VERY much in bad faith! it just feels icky to do exactly what a ton of people just said they DIDN'T want done with their fanworks - and then to make it so that everyone who had just voiced that they didn't want a competition like that, had to specifically opt out, instead of making it an opt-in-event for people who want to compete

2 - the original objection people had was on grounds of it pitting fanfics against each other, which is kind of antithetic to the message of fandom, which is about community and collaboration and supposed to embody the whole 'two cakes' theory, as well as it all turning into a popularity contest, pushing fanfics that are already popular and well-beloved even further into the spotlight, while not really doing anything to give less-well-known works more visibility than normal rec-lists are already doing (people's mileage on this may vary, I personally did not object quite as intensely to it as other's did, but I do understand why people were upset and I agree that it isn't something that should be pushed on fanwork creators without their consent!) - and I personally too do not want my own work pitted against other creators, I already feel inadequate enough most days, AND I am horrified by the possibility that it could discourage someone else even more too to see their work pitted against mine!

3 - I personally find the tone the people behind CoE have taken when interacting with this fandom extremely condescending and every interaction I have witnessed has made me personally pretty uncomfortable! and while they preach transparency, I personally find their whole blog pretty intransparent and some of their behaviour, I don’t know, kinda secretive and disconnected? not sure how to describe it correctly, but it makes me uncomfortable

4 - some of their responses and the way they have interacted with the topic/people involved with the topic of racism in fanfics (specifically surrounding chimney) makes me EXTREMELY uncomfortable and is in tone very similar to the people who last year were writing racist and extremely anti-chimney fanfic, and instead of taking being told how hurtful their content was as an opportunity to learn and do better, doubled down on turning a character of color into a caricatural villain, which is one, pretty fucking racists, and two, in my opinion has no place in a fandom community and makes me believe that at least part of the group behind this ‘fandom event’ are either people who themselves write these stories or at least rallied around these people and I don’t want anything to do with either of these groups!

(also since I got quite a few (not-bot) new followers in the last few months, this is a PSA that if you think the punch was unforgivable/treated with not enough gravitas/made chimney an abuser or means that maddie should not feel safe around chimney/should have defended poor baby buck or that he is not fit to be a parent to jee or if you in general think that anyone in the firefam is too harsh towards buck/doesn’t care enough about buck/is someone buck needs to be protected from, please unfollow and block me, I am very tired of the racism and the misogyny and the buck-woobifying, please and thank you and good riddance <3)

6. Have you ever sent something to one of those burn book blogs?

// I genuinely don't know what these are? I assume they're like the concept of one but no, I've never done that sort of thing. I have a very high tolerance for confrontation; to the point I've had fights with people and not realized we were fighting. So generally you know you have a problem with me because I'm telling you to your face. I've got no time for vague nonsense.

7. Has someone made you unfollow/block them without a second thought because of a petty reason?

// Depends on what you mean by petty. I think I'm less likely to do it on tumblr than I was on twitter. On twitter much more easily, but it was mostly because of what people would say ooc. I'm pretty tolerant for IC stuff. But I've got no real desire for ooc drama.

So generally, the only thing that makes me unfollow/block someone is ooc drama. By which I mean, 'allow me to tell you why my idea of what is right is correct about your blog.'

That's as petty as I get. I think the only time I unfollowed someone in the last like, six months, was because they posted an anti-semetic slogan, and it's rare enough that I unfollow people that I remember who it was.

8. Are you good at dealing with personal problems?

// In my own life? fuck no. I'm a mess. I'm unemployed, I'm struggling to find direction in my life, I'm single and I'm in my own head. I sometimes forget how to live like a person.

But interpersonal relationships? I'm decent at those. Part of that is because I grew up in a family where the baseline for discussion was 'heated argument.' In general, I'm a problem solver mentally; when it comes to others, I tend to want to fix problems or work around their issues. I encourage people to not try to help me with mine though; not because I'm looking down on them, but because I'm so in my own head and so risk averse that usually I've thought of everything a person would say to me, so those conversations turn into me having to look like an asshole as I explain why the other person's ideas won't work over and over again.

But in general, I don't have many red lines when it comes to dealing with people. We're people, we're flawed. Working things out is part of life, as is knowing when you can't work things out. And in general, I try not to ever take things personally.

But despite being able to handle my own shit in terms of not fucking up, I'm absolutely terrible at solving bigger problems because most of my huge problems are intractable. If they weren't, I'd have solved them.
