The girls are fighting
(press on for better quality, tumblr hates me)
They were together for a day before they ended up fighting, kissing while fighting then breaking up and never talking to eachother again

One of the biggest HotD missed opportunities is not exploring the trauma that comes from having to marry your immediate family.
Not exploring how Targ women are raised to think of their brothers as their future husbands.
How damaging it is when the lines of what's familial and what's romantic blur.
Helaena grew up knowing she'll marry her older brother, never given an option to even think of finding love somewhere else.
Aegon not wanting to marry his sister but he is a Targaryen and as a Targaryen there isn't much of a choice in it anyway.
Aemond who says he will marry his sister because it would be his duty to do so. Who doesn't even understand how strange and wrong that is - the fact that he sees marrying his sister as just another duty to fulfill.
The fact that we don't see how Helaena (arguably the biggest victim in that situation) feels about it all is just criminal.
The fact that we were never showed Helaegon getting married is such a missed opportunity because it would give an audience a way to understand just how disturbing that Targaryen custom is.
Another missed opportunity is not seeing Helaena pregnant and/or giving birth.
But I especially, ESPECIALLY, hate the way the show implied that it was all Alicent's doing purely because it means that now that highly traumatic experience of not only children but also siblings getting married became an Alicent issue and not an issue of hundred years of one family's abusive blood supremacy tradition.

You're truly a savage, Kal. A wolf in sheep's clothing. You promise us love and beautiful things just to burn us with them in the house you build. At least you could kill us with your own two hands. To give us merciful death and not a slow torture.
No. I prefer slow torture over death.
(Get attached to my characters. I won't kill them off. I will just make them suffer so much you'll beg for me to stop)

I never planned to end up like this.
I signed into this website for cool art and fandom posts. I learned English and spent years on this platform because I just wanted to vibe here, as one of the millions of users who get to just live their lives and talk about things they like.
I just want to pet cats and post memes.
But unfortunately, as an Israeli person, my mere existance is political and the sentence "I want to keep living here" is radical.
Unfortunately I have to be ready to either block or defend myself against the hundred thousands of people here who don't know the first thing about what's going on here but think that they get to determinate my future.
Because the website that can come up with pages upon pages of nuanced takes on fictional characters and cartoons can't fathom the concept that maybe the real world isn't black and white either.
The people who encourage for tolerance for every gender identity and sexual orientation under the sun because people's expiriance are different and complicated and diversed, think that Israeli people are a monolith.
They think that we are all the same as our dumbest politicians but would be shocked and horrified if anyone dared to compare them to Trump.
Those people who believe that if you are lgbt+ supporter or are anti racism or anti sexism or pro human rights you are automatically anti zionist.
Because you can't be a good person and a zionist, apparently.
As if any of you even know what zionism is! As if any of you know the first thing about this conflict and don't just parrot words you hear on instegram!
And then you pat yourselves on the shoulder and go to sleep self satisfied that you are Good People and then move on with your lives, leaving us to deal with the fallout. Because THIS is our lives. This is MY life. Long after you will all move on I'll stay here, trying to pick back the pieces once you find a shiny new thing to get into.
And if I can't get any care or support or nuance or empathy, at least I can get escapism right?
But I can't even have that, because every single cute and funny blog who talks and draws my blorbos suddenly has to get into the hot new trend of having an uninformed opinion on a conflict that started before they were even born.
You guys get to reblog a "from the river to the sea" post then go back to talking about fashion and crafts and anime. You get to spread misinformation and encourage hate you yourself are blind to, and not going to face the consequences of.
I don't. We don't.
So yeah, I hope you're fucking proud of yourselves, tumblr, because you are not human rights activists or progressive leftists or whatever.
You are just bullies.

To all the people currently making Makarov content who, just a few months ago, were shit talking and shitting on people who did like Makarov? I see you. I see how you switch up.
Hope you feel good receiving praise from the same people you were shitting on. Hope you don't feel too bad about your strong "morals" suddenly taking a nose dive.
Let's bffr, it was never about "what Makarov represents in the real world" it was about the fact that you didn't find him attractive until the new game came out.

Conversation
Somewhere in the Kryptgarden Forest
Doric: How many monsters do you think we'll encounter in the Underdark?
Xenk: Hopefully not too many, the path I chose is relatively safe.
Holga: Good, I would hate to fight beholders. I heard they are giant assholes.
Xenk: Whoever told you that was wrong. They are giant orbs with an eyeball, a mouth and eyestalks.
Holga: *facepalm*

A quick spoiler free review of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
Well, pack it up, kids. We have ourselves a winner for Best Animated Movie Oscar already set in stone.
Seriously.
You know how the first Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse was hailed as “groundbreaking” in animation? And it was rightly so? Yeah, the animators topped themselves with this one.
It’s not just gorgeous, not just amazing, not just fantastic, it’s...something you want to study. Like you are in an animation class want to study. And I am sure that future students will do so. The use of colors. The use of styles. The use of direction. I, personally, want to go scene by scene and even frame by frame just to learn from this movie. If this movie doesn’t get the Oscar it will be another case of Saving Private Ryan losing to Shakespeare in Love. An Oscar rob that will be talked about for decades to come. Honestly, I can’t see how this will lose. This is what Guillermo del Toro meant when he said, “Animation is not a genre for kids. It's a medium for art, it's a medium for film and I think animation should stay in the conversation.” This movie is the perfect example of this.
It’s also a movie that feels like it didn’t take inspiration from only other animated films but non-animated films as well as paintings. Impressionism plays a big chunk of this film. It’s beautiful in the way it uses that style, the color and messy shapes, to tell a story in a way that you couldn’t do in any other motion medium but animation. Again, you would have to look at paintings to find anything similar. You could not do this with live action.
The character designs! Spider-Punk is by far my favorite design of the new Spider-people. Don’t worry, I won’t spoil it for you. This is indeed a spoiler free review. But, GOD, I love his design.
Now story-wise....it’s dense. Like, no, don’t run to the bathroom for a quick break or else you will miss out on a major scene because they are all major scenes dense. It’s a balance mixture of character and plot. So much so that I can’t say if it’s a movie where the plot drives the characters or the characters drive the plot. It’s indeed 50/50. It isn’t a spoiler that this movie is part one of a two parter. And it feels like it. Like you are on a rollercoaster just cranking, cranking, cranking up that hill and right as you hit that peak, BOOM! credits. Hence, I felt like a five year old at their birthday party eyeing that cake when the credits came. “Give it to me! Give it to me NOW!” I want the next movie NOW!
Though we will have to wait until March before we get that next slice...

Lighter Pt.3
Tumblr media
TW: Mentions of injuries, swearing
Summary: So you made it through the night. Now are you gonna wake up?
Part 1
Part 2
Over the course of the next four days Ghost, and sometimes Soap, do what they can to bring you back. Soap drops off your favorite blanket, the dryer sheets you use, and your MP3 player. Sometimes, while he forces Ghost to sleep, he’ll sit with you and tell you about his day, how annoying the new recruits are, and how Brenda in HR changed her hair again.
Ghost doesn't leave your side, even to sleep. He simply curls up in the chair until Soap leaves. He does everything he can to stimulate a normal day for you, even washing your greasy hair one night. He doesn’t say much, not like Soap does, but his presence is constant, and he hopes you can feel him.
He’s holding your hand, nearly a week after the ‘ventilator scare’, as Soap dubbed it, when something changes. At first, he can’t figure it out, but as he scans your body he notices your eyelids are fluttering.
He watches with bated breath as your eyes flutter open.
“Y/N?” He whispers hoarsely, watching you squint.
“Y/N.” He says sharply as he watches your hand come up to your face, tangling the wires. For a brief second he panics, thinking you are going to rip them out.
“Y/N.” He says again. This time, your head turns towards him. His stomach drops as your face somehow pales even more and you start gagging. He presses the call button before carefully helping you sit up, rubbing your back as you dry-heave.
“Sorry, I'm sorry, I’m sorry.” He whispers. His eyes flick to a glass of water that Soap had left for him and he grabs it, still supporting you with his other hand. He guides it to your lips, tipping it slowly into your mouth so you don’t choke.
Satisfied, he slowly eases you back down, brushing your hair out of your sweaty face.
“Simon?" Your voice is hoarse and weak and barely audible but it’s your voice. Ghost could almost cry.
“Bloody hell Y/N. You scared me.” He murmurs hoarsely. His hands shake as he caresses your cheek with his thumb.
“You got shot, and then, like a bloddy fuckin’ idiot, you had me cauterize it and went into shock.“You lost almost a liter of blood, and flatlined twice while they repaired your hip.” He carefully grabs your hand, minding the wires.
“Wha’ hap…” Your voice trails off, and it scares him just a little.
“Oh.” Your response is so low he almost doesn’t catch it. But he does, and it makes him smile slightly. God how he missed you.
“Yeah, oh.” He says softly, the elation at seeing you awake quickly being replaced by guilt. He squeezes your hand, subconsciously seeking comfort.
"How do you feel?" He brings his hand to your face, brushing your hair out of your eyes again, running his thumb under your eye.
The nurse finally comes in, but it is too late, you have already fallen back asleep. She checks your vitals and makes a note in your chart before exiting the room, leaving Ghost alone with your limp form. There is fear in his heart that you won’t wake up again, the only reassurance he gets is from watching the steady rise and fall of your chest, a silent but clear sign that you are still alive.
“T’red.” You mumble. He smiles sadly, watching as you struggle to focus on the hand on your cheek.
“I bet. Go to sleep so that you can heal and I can yell at you for being stupid without feeling guilty.” He murmurs softly, hand trembling on your cheek.

c'mon i can't be the only one who knows noragami is getting a happy ending not a sad or a bittersweet ending but actually FR a happy ending. a great believer once said everything gets better in the end. if it hasn't gotten better then it's not the end. there's still a chapter left, my friend.

The sluttiest things a man can say (Jane Austen edition):
I am fully aware of your flaws but I still love you (Mr. Knightley)
If you aren’t interested in a relationship, I’ll leave you alone (Mr. Darcy)
I was wrong. I let my emotions get the better of me (Captain Wentworth)
You don't deserve to be neglected (Henry Crawford)
I would infinitely rather marry you than be rich (Edward Ferrars)
Your interests aren’t silly; what is silly is dismissing them as “girly” (Henry Tilney)
Before I decided to tell you this, I thought for a long time about your feelings and reaction to it. (Colonel Brandon)

wait could you explain more about jisung traitor?
oh my goodness i love this question um...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
basically, jisung has always been aware that they are in a dream, we can watch him on several mvs when he is the only one looking directly at the camera while the others are not. in the dream loop: the last midnight, jisung gets a notebook with details of how to escape a dream loop. the pages are ripped out and it implies that he did it; that's where the theory of jisung being a traitor starts because he seems to be trying to stop the others from waking up from the dream which is also an experiment (maybe he knew it was while the other didn't) and the reason behind it is because of the old graduation system. so: reality equals the graduation system, and the surreal the dream scape (started in chewing gum).
all of these clues lead us to believe that jisung is the traitor among them reporting the escape attempts of the members to the people who run the loop, but then at the end of chapter 5, we realize that jisung was always on their side (the red string) and he helps them escape thanks to the knowledge he has from the book.
edited omg i forgot an important part and that is that they haven't really escaped yet (??) because of the glass of water spilling at the end.
this is an excerpt from user @/dreamiesverse on tw and my own theory.
