An Eternity Without You: Gojo Satoru x Reader

What are the words you would use to describe a God? Beautiful, powerful, strong? The answer is lonely. To be burdened with everyone's dreams and wishes. To be the strongest without anyone to lean on.

Tags/Warnings: God!Gojo, Human!Reader, Angst, Hurt/little comfort, Death (non-detailed), Short One-Shot ˚✧˚. 1.2k words˚✧˚.

Author's note: This is my first time ever writing a fanfiction, so I hope you enjoy it! The idea was there, but my execution could have been so much better– I'll do my best to get better at writing! 🩵 (≧ヘ≦　)

Never make promises you can't keep. Especially with a God because if you break it....

"Aren't you lonely?" Was the first thing you ever said to him.

He remembers it like it was yesterday. You, a human, worried about a God? Who did you think you were to worried about a God? He should have cut you down where you stood but instead he decided to indulge you.

"Lonely?" He tilts his head slightly to the side. "What makes you think I'm lonely?"

You look him straight in the eye and answered, "Because you are a God."

He stares at you in silence, confused on what you meant.

"Because you are the strongest," you continued. "You are the strongest...so everyone burdens you with their hopes and dream. You have no one to turn to because you are the strongest. You're always alone with no one by your side, so aren't you lonely?"

He shut down your response by saying– "I am the strongest so it's my duty. I think this conversation is done. Now tell me your wish."

You replied with only a smile on your face.

He didn't deny what you said.

"You know, I've never seen you smile before Satoru. I want to see you smile."

You and him are sitting next to each other, laying against a tree in a flower field. He stares at you like you said something crazy.

"Is that your wish?"

"I told you I'm not going to wish for anything." You reach your hand up to his fluffy white hair and played with it. "I just want to spend time with you and see you happy. I did promise to make you happy didn't I?"

"Ridiculous," he scoffed but didn't stop you from playing with his hair. Instead, he leans into your touch. "You are the strangest human I've ever met."

You only laughed at his comment.

"I promise to stay with you and make you happy," was your promise to him. So why did you break it?

You in his arms, your life slowly fading away. Too soon. Way too soon. Why? Accused of a crime you've never committed. Cursed out by your own kind. Blinded by greed and envy.

"They're always with the God! They're trying to keep all the benefits!"

"They're hogging the God's favor all to themselves!"

"They're trying to seduce the God! They're the devil!"

"We need to get rid of them!"

"Kill them! The God will favor us if they're gone!"

"I will kill them all. Every last one of them."

"Satoru... please don't hurt them," you say as your bring your bloody hand to caress his cheek.

"Why?" He looks at you with a pained expression. "They've hurt you. You're dying. If that's your wish, I refuse. I refuse to grant it."

You tried to laugh but only ended up coughing out blood.

"I don't want you to be cursed out. I don't want you to spend eternity being cursed because of someone like me."

"I don't care. I don't care about them."

"Satoru," You smiled at him. "Do it for me? Promise you won't hurt them please?"

The last smile he will ever see from you. Something that will haunt him for all of eternity.

He stares at you because even at your dying breath, you were selfish. He could just ignore you. Pretend you didn't ask him to leave those humans alone. But he couldn’t because it was you. So he promised. He promised not to hurt them.

"It seems like I will be burdening you with a wish even after saying I won't make a wish. Grant me this wish Satoru. I wish for you to be happy. I wish for you to find happiness. Be happy."

You started to feel tired. Really tired. All you wanted to do was close your eyes and sleep.

"I'm sorry," you said before your eyes closed. Your hand falls down onto the floor and he is left there with you in his arms.

"Selfish until the very end," he brings your cold body into his embrace. "Didn't you promise me to stay by my side?"

Even a God like him, the strongest, was unable to bring you back to life.

"We wish for peace."

"Please bless us with a healthy child."

"I hope he can be cured."

"I hope to be loved."

"Bless my family with prosperity."

"I wish she becomes mine."

"I hope that place burns down in flames."

"I wish she dies."

"I hope they suffer in agony."

"I want him to need me."

"I wish to be rich."

"I want to be happy."

Eons have passed since then. All he does now is listen to the wishes made from humans. Hidden away from their view. He doesn't curse them, after all, he made a promise. However, he doesn't bless them either. After all, how can he grant their wishes when yours was still on the table unfulfilled?

"Grant me this wish Satoru. I wish for you to be happy. I wish for you to find happiness. Be happy."

What exactly is happiness? He's back to being alone. But why does it feel so different now? It's dark. It's cold. It's....lonely? Oh. Lonely. He finally acknowledged it. He's lonely.

So... lonely.

"What have you done to me?"

"Please God. Please give him back to me!! I can't continue life without him. Bring him back!"

Can't live without him? What does she mean? Humans can live on their own.

"I wished we could have been together. But we are too different. I don't want to give up on her.. but we are not in the same position."

Same position? Do humans have to be the same to be together?

"I wish someone could love me so I can be happy."

What is love? Why do you need love to be happy?

"I got great misfortune! I might die tomorrow or something!!"

"Don't say that love. Saying that is a bad omen. If anything happens, I will stay by your side. After all, I can't imagine my life without you anymore. I want you to be happy."

"I'm happy as long as you're here with me dummy!"

It's as he came to a sudden realization of what happiness meant. After eons, he finally came to understand what happiness meant for him.

"...oh. I get it now. Happiness..." A single tear dropped down his face. "Happiness...there is simply no such thing as happiness in a world without you."

"Please return to my side."

He waited more eons without you by his side. He waited for your soul. For the chance that you may get reincarnated and return to him once again. Was it a foolish thing to do? Yes. Because there was a chance you may never reincarnate but he held onto that hope. The hope that you'll return and keep your promise so he can fulfill your wish.

Despite being the strongest, neither God nor Humans could live by themselves.

"So hurry up and return to me."

And you did. Here you are, standing in front of him. The same as ever. As if eons have never passed. You remained the same.

"Why are you crying?"

"I finally found you."

Because if you break it, the God will be sad too.

Summary: What happens when they someone flirting with you and they get jealous? Ben Hargreeves, Fei Hargreeves, Sloane Hargreeves, Jayme Hargreeves Tw: Violence, Emotional Manipulation, Su!c!dal indications

Luther Hargreeves

Kind of insecure

He's also angry and crushes whatever he's holding in his hands

He's surprised when looking down at the crushed item

Then he becomes annoyed

He'll go to the bathroom to clean up and you'll quickly follow him

"Are you okay?"

He's surprised by your presence and the fact that you followed him

He'll then feel bad about his feelings before

You would never hurt him and he knows that, so why would he even feel that way? You've never done anything to justify that feeling

"Um... Nothing, I accidently- uh, crushed this thing- You know... Strength issues..."

You'll help him clean up/patch up and it makes Luther guilty and he momentarily forgets about the previous feeling... At least until next time

Deigo Hargreeves & Lila Pitts

What a duo

Lila definitely filled Diego's head with delusions and will convince him to do something stupid [Like kill the person flirting w/ you] while she hides the body

Lila takes it better, but inside she's more pissed than Diego

Diego is mad at you and won't talk to you. You'll have to profusely apologize and prove to him you care, otherwise he won't speak to you. Trust, he can hold a grudge

Lila, on the other hand, is very extroverted and will go over to where you are and talk to the person who was flirting with you

There's is definitely tension in the air, even though it doesn't show on her face

She's all smiles and happy, but it doesn't show in her eyes

Deigo is mad, but Lila sees it as an opportunity to manipulate you [She also wants a reason to kill somone]

You try and talk back and she'll bring up how sad it makes them when people flirt with you and she'll emotionally manipulate into feeling bad

You didn't like the person but... maybe she's right? I mean- you didn't exactly tell the person no or that you were taken, but you had asked them to stop.... Was that enough?

Allison Hargreeves

Oh, no no no nononononono

She is NOT letting that happen

The person who's flirting with you must have a death wish

She doesn't want to use her powers, but...

Well, she really has to fight the urge

She looks very sweet and kind, so she can just come into the conversation and play nice girl

She'll drag you off, talking about needing your help or something, while apologizing for taking you away [But she doesn't really mean it]

You won't even notice she's mad until you're alone

She'll accuse you of cheating or trying to leave her

You're taken by surprise, but don't even try and fight her, because she's in a very low/depressive state, so she'd be easy to push into doing something drastic

So, you'll have to wait until she feels better to confront her

Klaus Hargreeves

They already assume you don't love them, so this just fills this delusion they have

It really bums them out and they get super depressed

They get extra clingy whenever they get you alone

They're usually pretty clingy, so you don't think about it to much

Until, they start whining about the guy at the bar

They'll ask you if you like them [Flirter] more than them [Klaus]

You'll tell them no, but they don't believe you

They'll emotion manipulate you saying that you probably hate them and if you ever leave them, they'll kill themselves

Five Hargreeves

Someone flirting with you? Do they have a death wish??

Not afraid to kill a man or women. He doesn't care

The only issue is he'd never admit his jealousy. You have to confront him and at first he'll deny it, but if you keep pushing he'll get pissed and yell 'You know what- I am jealous! So what!?!'

You're surprised he admitted it, but that's the only time you're getting it

He'll deny saying it and gaslight you into thinking it never happened

He will kill them, he just needs a little time, which he has plenty of

It is bloody, gory and gruesome

No one will find the body, but he'll make sure you know the person is dead and it's all your fault

He'll make sure you never do it again because he hates this feeling and it bothers the hell out of him

Ben Hargreeves

He wasn't really having fun at the party, so when seeing someone hit on you, it just made his night worse

He's scared you'll realize that he's not good enough

He hates the icky feeling in his stomach and it only continues to grow

Though it does make the feeling subside when seeing you roll your eyes and push the person out of the way before heading towards him

It makes him giddy and smile; Like a school boy

The fact that you'd chose him over everyone else really fuels his obsession, so be warned

When you get to him, you complain about the person

"Did you see them?"

He'll pretend that he wasn't paying attention and you gasp, before sitting down and ranting about how stupid that person was

He practically has hearts in his eyes and he looks at you like you're the only person in the world, which to him you are

Viktor Hargreeves

He's annoyed, but he's not going to do anything drastic [Or at least he tries]

He wants to do something, but he doesn't really know what to do, because he's never had like a good relationship

He watches sadden from afar before wallowing in his own self pity

Though, after everything that has happened, he is a little bit more confident it just takes some working up before he can go over to you

He'll debate about it for a few though. Like he'll sit up, but quickly sit back down and do it over again until he finally gathers the courage to approach you

He'll finally approach you, thinking of what he's going to do as he approaches you, but when he finally approaches you he's still lost on what to do

He'll just act and kiss you infront of the person, which takes the flirter by surprise

The flirter will apologize and end up leaving you alone

You're surprised by Viktor's brazen behavior, but it's also kind of a turn on and he'll kiss you again before you can comment on it

Marcus Hargreeves

He doesn't get 'jealous'

That word isn't even in his dictionary

Well, that was until he saw a guy flirting with you

What is this feeling???

It's an icky feeling that he doesn't like it

He'll put an end to it quickly [Both the flirting and the feeling]

You're kind of taken aback when Marcus comes up to you and pulls you away from the conversation

He would have folded his way into the conversation, but he would have been passive aggressive

You try and ask him what's wrong, but he's quick to deflect the conversation

He'll push the feeling deep down and it'll come up when you both get into a fight

Sparrow! Ben Hargreeves

He's furious

If he wasn't busy nursing his drink, he probably would have knocked the guy out. Thankfully he's drunk and not sober

Though he can't help the thoughts in his mind... Violent thoughts

The thoughts will become a lot and he has to leave

He's mad at the person, but then he starts thinking and he suddenly becomes mad at you

How come you didn't tell them to back off????

He becomes slightly insecure but he fights that feeling and it becomes overcome with anger

He'll end up leaving without you, because he needs time to be alone and think

Though, this just makes his feelings worse. While he's drunk he's sad and depressed, but when he becomes sober, his emotions quickly turn to anger and he wants to confront you

So, when he sees you again he's anger has already been bubbling up and he blows up

You're taken aback and kind of scared because he's so mad and he's yelling and you can't even decipher what he's talking about

He needs some time to cool off, but he can't be alone, because his feelings will cool off

You'll go to another room while he cools off, so that he knows you're still around, but you're not alone together

He will eventually calm down and apologize for his behavior, but not with words, but like subtle actions, gifts, and such

Fei Hargreeves

You don't even know she's jealous, because she hides it so well

She's kind of scary looking, so no-one has approached her

She takes her jealousy pretty well and doesn't let it bother her

It just kind of rolls off her back

She's confident and knows who she is and what she wants, so she's not threatened by some nobody trying to hit on you

Though, if she sees you getting uncomfortable, she will step in

Thanks to her looks, they back off rather quickly

It's rather silly to her and she finds the whole thing stupid

She takes it the best and doesn't let it bother her

10/10 best girlfriend <3

Sloane Hargreeves

She's a sweet girl and doesn't deserve to be sad

She's a hopeless romantic, so when she sees people flirting and being cute, she instantly is like 'Awww' until she realizes it's you

Then she's mad and her mind races with multiple different scenario

What if you leave her?

Oh god, what if you don't love her anymore?

What if you click with them so well that you think they're you're soul mate and you leave he-

She shakes her head, before standing up

She fixes her hair, before putting on her brightest smile and approaching you

She's very beautiful, so they person who was hitting on you will turn and flirt with her too

She'll become annoyed, because they were just hitting on you and now they're hitting on her? Were you not good enough for them???

Who did they think they were?

Instead of being mad that they were flirting with you, she's mad they STOPPED flirting with you to flirt with her

You're incredible, so she's confused why they don't realize that

She calls them on it and you're really flattered, but you have to drag her away, so she doesn't get to carried away

Jayme Hargreeves

It's more of an annoyance

She doesn't think about it to much

She's probably the only one who WILL come up to you and interrupt your conversation in a rude way

If the flirter is rude to her she'll use her powers and pull you away from them

It all happens so fast, you don't even process it until you're back at the house

"What the hell was that???"

She doesn't even turn to you, but you do here her make a sound of confusion

Your brows frown, and you groan, "Why did you use your powers on that person"

"Why were you flirting with them?" Still she hasn't turned towards you

"I wasn't flirting with them!"

She keeps her cool, making brash accusations, which causes you to get angry and by the end of it she makes it seem like YOU are the crazy one

Floyd was usually walking (stalking) behind you, like as 'normal' for a yandere like him. Trying to see what you were going to be doing today.

Then all of a sudden... he sees Ace walk up to you with a very flirty grin on his face.

Little did he know... that for Floyd watching this scene behind you from a distance, it's "bye bye" for Ace's life.

Ace just is casually talking to you or to him- confessing his feelings for you.

Floyd then hears all of this since Ace has a loud mouth, and would stand behind you and grab your shoulder hard. While he is glaring at Ace from behind you.

But if that wasn't enough to get the hint that Floyd was jealous. Then I would like to say that once Ace spills the hot tea infront of you- whether infront of Floyd or not.

It would most definitely- and absolutely obliterate your profound image of your dear boyfriend, Floyd.

Whether you already knew about it, and wanted to stay with him regardless of him being a yandere. OR- your just finding out about this since you don't pay that much attention to his yandere tendencies.

Now, Floyd finally steps besides you, with his arm not around your shoulders. Either threatening Ace or denying all his (real) accusations, false.

If Ace, and probably most likely will- is still persistent and keeps saying that Floyd's actions aren't normal (which he is right about), might not be good for Ace.

Since Floyd would either end this whole thing in physical violence or just rolling his eyes walking you off somewhere else.

Though it is really most common that Floyd would end this in physical violence- Since he IS a yandere and stuff.

He would be leaving Ace in a graveyard with his tombstone.

Jade:

Once again, I don't think anyone would be THAT surprised if Jade just kills him before he could say anything.

Having a crush on someone who is already in a relationship with Jade, even as a yandere, is an automatic death sentence itself.

He also acts like a mind reader (and is one), no one besides his senpais in their 3rd or 4th year could beat Jade.

He is manipulative like no other.

This man could even make you feel like the reason to cause all of this drama.

Jade would probably get rid of him by these possible solutions, A: blackmailing- which maybe he learned from Azul, B & C: physical violence or tormentation- which he even does absolutely effortlessly.

Though tormentation would be the closest solution for him in this scenario.

Jade would probably be even like his brother, watch from a distance as he watches Ace's sad excuse of a confession.

Knowing Jade, he probably even LAUGHS when Ace tells you about how the way he treats you is wrong.

Yes, he has that much confidence in himself.

Though after this, he won't be nice to anyone else besides you. Even his brother and Azul are considered apart of that list.

Jade would even make you stay away from anyone else that is as close as Ace is.

It would be even worse if your just finding out that Jade is a yandere, since this guy is going to lock you in his and makes sure you never see the light of day. (Even though there is a goddamn window in his room).

With you only having to see exception of him obviously.

And before Ace even knows it- his only last memories is hearing someone say: "Shock The Heart".

I just found out that some pro-Palestine people are turning on the fandom mode (In short, the worst sides, i.e. doxing, rape threats, etc.), I'm begging you people, let's not behave this way, because it doesn't help, but harms, we are fighting for the lives of children, women and other people who are victims of Israel, not to go crazy, people from the UK, people from the USA and Jews from outside Israel are not guilty of anything, I'm not perfect, but it's one thing to write something under the influence of emotions, and another thing is to do it just to feed your ego (I communicate the same tone and this type of things, unless, like I use Google translator, which kills the message and then they want to eat you for it that Google translator couldn't capture what it was supposed to translate, threatening others with rape or death probably won't achieve much)

And no, pro-Israel is not better either, he calls everyone anti-Semites, or says that all Israel's crimes are "Anti-Semitic propaganda", and if you live in Poland, he may accuse you that your family is responsible for sending Jews to concentration camps , even if it's a lie (Now imagine, that someone is a generation of people who saved Jews and other people, and now they get such crap from a pro-Israel person, it's just disgusting)

In addition, many pro-Israel people prefer to deny the fact that Jews were not the only victims of this crazy man, or they cannot stand the thought that if Muslims lived in Europe, this man would probably not be very friendly to them (Hello, Roma too were victims, connect the facts), argument, just because one Islamist liked Hitler (to put it mildly) does not mean that all Islamists were for him (Hello, many Germans were not for him, so that shows how the world is more complicated)

And let me remind you, Disney was friends with a woman who loved the Third Reich, but somehow people keep silent about it, because apparently there is nothing wrong with friendship with people with "different" views (Tia… I will never understand these people, I will not let advice on being friends with someone who is right-wing and not because I am left-wing, but because that a lot of fucking right-wingers are bigots)

Pro-Israel pisses me off for pretending that there is no genocide, or for calling everyone "Anti-Semites" (And, as I have said many times, they kill the seriousness of the word), that's why I can't look at Pro-Israel the way I look at fandoms, for example other productions, because it's one thing to like a different production than others, and the second is to be in favor of a country that murders children and innocent civilians, yes, the context is more important

So yes, some pro-Palestine people, get a grip of yourself, and those Pro-Israel people, think about your values, because if you defend genocide, it's probably not a reason to be proud

ok - i had to go back and consult my screenshots regarding this post (the doe eyes/pouting quote) to make sure I wasn't wrong in thinking geralt's words were aimed at saskia. and sure enough, i still think that's the case, but i want to take a moment to dissect the conversation further. the whole thing is as follows:

geralt: can you tell me what'll happen to iorveth now?

saskia: let's be honest - he's a terrorist. i'll not lie about him nor whitewash his deeds. he must earn respect on his own, and perhaps, a few generations on, humans will forget.

first - i was surprised to have the option to outright ask about iorveth. yes they're friends, but i didn't think geralt would directly raise this line of questioning, especially after the direction it takes. he knows enough to worry (or at the very least care) about iorveth's safety and saskia's ability to guarantee it now that she has her pontar valley (thanks to geralt and iorveth's combined efforts). her response is sobering, but equally surprising given that recent events weren't enough for iorveth to earn her respect, or gratitude, or solidarity especially when we consider how geralt has known him for a far shorter time and has gained (seemingly) more affection and understanding for him in that time.

it's also telling that saskia thinks geralt would be on the same page as her. not to mention her implication that iorveth's only chance at redemption will come once his actions have faded into obscurity with time. as if saying, come on, we don't have to pretend anymore that iorveth has any moral standing. let's be honest.

geralt: did you intend just to use him?

saskia: geralt, iorveth has killed more humans thank you've eaten chickens. he's not one to be used - it's not that simple. he came to believe in me and knew from the start what we were fighting for. he made a choice.

not one to be deterred, geralt doesn't dispute her claims but rather questions saskia's character, accusing her of using iorveth. but saskia's response is interesting for her acknowledgement of iorveth's agency in the matter. as if she's saying he was aware of his disadvantage from the beginning, and that his feelings (?) for her were always involved, and both knew that they would lead nowhere. it was his choice to fight for her, to put everything on the line for her cause, despite knowing full well that his feelings were one sided.

geralt: sure you don't know what i'm talking about? the baby doe eyes, that intense, misty gaze, the pouting?

saskia: we shared a cause, fought side by side...

again, geralt doesn't relent. he continues to ask if saskia really wasn't purposefully playing up her looks to get iorveth into her hands. he isn't the type to easily fall for a human after all (or someone he thinks is human), much less work with one. even she must know that. she says herself that iorveth isn't one to be used, that he's a terror to all humans. an outright 'terrorist'. she later goes so far as to say the scoia'tael will be welcome in the free pontar valley. but iorveth himself? well.... (let's be honest, geralt.)

so geralt's insistence of her being at fault makes sense from his perspective. how else could she have convinced someone like iorveth to so thoroughly do her bidding? and her answers do start to fall apart when she doesn't deny playing up her doe eyes, her pouting. or maybe saskia genuinely doesn't think she did anything wrong. given her nature, i'm almost more inclined to believe her ignorance.

Because he sees himself as a monster and doesn't think anyone will love him or he has the right to love someone.

Until he meets you.

He shouted at you and asked why you were sitting next to him without his permission.

You just smiled and answered him kindly.

The two of you's relationship has progressed over time, which has caused the Subaru to become more protective and possessive.

One day, when he saw Laito trying to suck your blood, he got very angry and punched him hard.

You were shocked and Subaru felt bad when he saw that you were scared.

He thought you were afraid of him

But you hugged him and when he thanked him for saving you.

He was relieved and he hugged you more tightly.

To protect you, he may kill his brothers.

Even if Subaru become yandere, he won't hurt you.

If he hurt you, he would distance himself from you.

People are very quick to dismiss Sansa's part in the Trident event. Actually they are eager to introduce Arya as having a part in Lady's death.

They say Mycah's, "She asked me to" is the proof that Arya uses her class to get what she wants. I won't deny Arya had an advantage over Mycah, that we don't exactly know if Mycah felt like he had to indulge his lord's daughter. And yes Arya has tried ( keyword being tried) to use her station in the story. But let us take a closer look shall we?

When sansa stans accuse Arya of using her class against Mycah, do they forget that if pulling her station over someone really was in her character, she could have easily rebuked Jeyne Poole? Jeyne knows Arya's social station is above her- and that even with the younger girl's reluctance in pursuing "womanly arts", she still would have better prospects than the steward's daughter and certainly that has to hurt. So if Arya truly were as they want her to posit- she would have long ago put an end to Jeyne's caustic address to her.

And yet Arya keeps mum and carries on through the bullying. So it's highly unlikely that Arya would have forced Mycah with: you have to obey me because I am Ned Stark's daughter. But regardless, Mycah still might have felt pressured to play at swords with Arya. And that's the unfortunate reality of their world order. But tell me one thing: if Joffrey had in him the bare minimum decency, empathy, really anything except for the maniacal sadism ( I don't give a fuck about his age ), the Trident incident wouldn't have happened. Now beyond this the Sansa Stans say that Arya escalated the situation more than what could have been.

So...you all see the crown prince joking about hurting Mycah only to the extent he feels is necessary ( which can be lopping off his appendeges for all we know ) to teach Mycah a lesson about daring to play with highborn lady and then you say that Arya did wrong to intervene? Like you want her to plead and beg, use "soft power" to try ( again a keyword) to divert Joffrey. But here is the thing, even you all don't know if it would have worked. But I wonder if this criticism is born out of Mycah's fate or if it is actually another jab at Arya being too "masculine".

Also a classist girl would be more than willing to let the prince do whatever the hell he wants- she wouldn't interfere as strongly as she did and threaten the prince for harming a mere butcher's boy.

What is so fascinating to me is that the Trident incident is twisted into a narrative of Arya's actions being responsible for Sansa's anguish- because Lady got killed. The only time Mycah is brought up is to argue about the merits of maintaining class structure- which is actually a criticism of Arya ( this either goes two way; one where Arya is blamed for breaching the social bias or as stated above using her position to play at being a commoner)- which in turn becomes another fawning session over the perfect lady Sansa Stark who only lies to protect Arya, or is just coping- her sister's life be damned.

It is so funny that one of them has said that Sansa wishing death upon her sister and telling her she isn't wanted and fit only for Hodor ( I have so much to say about this because holy shit) is just her stooping to Arya's level because apparently she has been the aggressor in all their interactions. But the fact is they bring Arya down to Sansa's classist attitude. They are the one to pull down Arya because they know how Sansa looks beside someone who is open to change.

The only times Arya pulls class is when she is on the run and is desperate to reunite with her family. You can say that this is the remnants of her privilege talking but how does the interaction progress then? Because George is quick to rid Arya every time of the notion that she has the right to demand anything from anyone amidst war. She is rid of the black and white notion of the good and bad lord ( the highborns are forever the bane of common folks), she is forced to bear witness to the horrors of her little coup, and is given a revelation while trying to escape the Bolton men that maybe she is selfish in her wants and it would have been better if she didn't pull in Gendry and Hot Pie ( she immediately decides to reveal her identity). But tell me throughout the series: does Sansa ever come to an epiphany about her privilege? About how good she has it? So really...don't talk about stooping down.

I have so many other things to say about a meta that was sent to me. Like lol. Just you all wait.

I was originally gonna add this to the original post, but I wound up making this its own post. Oops? (Context for everyone else.)

I'm not at all surprised that you don't know who this character is, Disney pretty much never acknowledges the movie he's from. I've been trying to pin down where to start with him, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized that would require me to explain the movie he's from, among other things. I will try to be somewhat coherent, but I make no promises.

So.

In 1995, the same year "Pocahontas" was released, someone pitched the idea for an animated supernatural Western movie where a timid cowboy confronts an undead cattle rustler. The original idea was well-received, so they started working on it. This movie was called "Sweating Bullets."

Except it didn't happen.

Okay, that's not entirely true: what happened was that it went through several changes from its original pitch to the final product. Unlike the detailed account of how "Kingdom of the Sun" eventually became "The Emperor's New Groove," I haven't found as much information as to why this changed so drastically. (Hell, I found out about all this completely by accident.) The best I can find is a mention of the inclusion of a baby longhorn calf named Bullets who wants to be more like a horse, and then sometime later someone else suggested the protagonists be three cows out to save their farm.

So "Sweating Bullets" eventually morphed into "Home on the Range."

*sigh*

When someone claims animation is only for children, this is the kind of film that I imagine they're thinking of. This came out during "Disney's Second Dark Age," and while it's not the worst animated theatrical movie they've made... it ain't good. I'm struggling to think of what exactly about it doesn't work, because there's quite a bit, and the more I try to focus on just one thing to mention the messier my thought process gets. However, unlike some people (coughdougwalkercough), I won't accuse the people behind making this film of not caring or putting no effort into this. I don't think the overall end result is good, but I will not deny that work was put into creating it.

While I'm at it, let's get this out of the way: this movie's reputation as "the 2D film that killed 2D films in the United States" is inaccurate. Disney was already planning on going from 2D to 3D films before this movie was released, and this was a convenient target to pin the blame on. This common misconception probably isn't helped by Disney doing what it does with most of its flops by avoiding mentioning this movie at all ever. (Outside of having it available on Disney Plus? To... I don't know, keep people from pirating one of their critically panned flops?)

I don't have a high opinion of the movie itself, but there is one thing I enjoy about it.

This is Alameda Slim. He's the villain. He's an awful man. I love him.

Slim was set to be the undead antagonist way back when this was "Sweating Bullets," and his backstory was that he died via being trampled to death by a stampeding herd of cattle. However, that changed because someone at Disney deemed it to be "too dark" and that they'd have to show blood should they go with that. (That and it'd give them at least a PG rating... which the final movie ended up getting anyway.) Keep in mind that the original pitch was made a year after the release of "The Lion King," where Mufasa fell off a cliff and was trampled by wildebeests, a similar death that showed little if any blood, so I call bull on that excuse (pun intended).

It's hard for me to determine when they made other changes to his character between the original pitch and the final product because, again, I've not found much info on the production. Given one of the old proposed posters, it seems like one aspect of his character has been there back when it was titled "Sweating Bullets."

Oh, did I mention that his yodeling can hypnotize cattle?

(Here's where I'd usually put a YT video of at least the audio of his villain song, but I don't want to accidentally get any YouTube channels in trouble with Disney. I'll say this: when I mentioned that there was a 2004 movie with more fat jokes about the villain in one song than there were in the entirety of Spider-Man 2? This is the song I meant.)

Fun fact: Slim's villain song required three vocalists - his voice actor for the speaking/singing, one professional yodeler for the higher notes, and another for the lower ones. That might be the single most impressive thing about the movie to me. (Another fun fact: if you listen to this dubbed in another language, odds are likely that the longer yodeling sequence of the song will be from the Latin-Spanish dub done in Mexico, all performed by one man.) Also, the lyricist for his song (and the rest in the movie)? He's the same lyricist for Disney's Tangled. It's crazy to me that Mother Gothel's villain songs were written by the same guy who gave us a yodeling cowboy villain song. (And "Love Never Dies," the sequel to Webber's Phantom of the Opera, but LND is a whole other type of mess.)

As you can probably tell from that alone, Slim is meant to be more of a comedic villain than a serious one, which was a bit of a departure from most other Disney movie villains around that time. That's not to say he can't be threatening, as he's very strong and has a pretty bad temper, a combination you don't want to be on the wrong end of (something his three nephews know all too well). His deal is that he disguises himself and buys up all the land owned by the people whose cattle he's stolen and sold off, his way of getting revenge on all the ranchers who fired him for not appreciating his yodeling talents. This revenge scheme extends to smaller places he's never been to, such as the home of two of the main protagonists.

He ends up getting defeated by a group of farm animals, including three piglets and several baby chickens.

No, I'm not kidding. Like, imagine the scene where Scuttle and those sea creatures mess with Ursula during the wedding in The Little Mermaid, but if she did nothing after Ariel got her voice back. Not a very exciting end for a villain, is it?

Despite his pretty pathetic defeat, there's something about Slim I just can't help but enjoy. I'm upset that Disney squandered the opportunity to add a literal ghost rider to their villain roster, but I still found him to be my favorite thing about the movie.

I think I might like him because he's got a couple things in common with other villains I've become fond of over the years. Ratigan's also a character with an ego who's out to gain power and has a noted temper, though he manages it better than Slim (up until that film's climax, anyway). Slim is also usually considered to be a more silly villain despite being behind some pretty horrible things like driving several people (and a colony of rabbits) out of their homes, which is kinda like how people see Eggman. And if I had a nickel for every time I've gotten attached to a greedy, egotistical, fat but agile, silly but also sorta threatening redheaded villain with the ability to control certain animals in an animated thing that came out in 2004, I'd have two nickels... Which isn't a lot, but it's weird how that also describes The Batman's take on The Penguin, right? Edit: My partner pointed out that he's got a couple things in common with Tamatoa too, namely both being in the "large, silly, and threatening" category as well as both having palette shifts during their villain songs and being a bit flashy. Felt like that was important enough to add here.

Also, Slim rides a bison named Junior. I know the idea behind it was likely "he's too big/fat to ride a normal horse," but considering how bison can be potentially dangerous, I just think that's kinda amazing.

Stefan lying to Elena in 1x18 about being a ripper after they made out on her bed and he lost control to his bloodlust to the point she pushed him away bothered me. He gaslight her into thinking it was the first time he lost control and downplayed the severity of his issues so she wouldn't be afraid. It's not the same as compulsion and he cared more about Elena than the women he compelled, but it is quite similar. If he were a normal 17 year old human lying about human things it wouldn't be predatory. The way Stefan objectifies women disgusts me too, especially in the flashbacks. The way he pushed one of the women in corsets towards Damon and when Damon was displeased with him Stefan considered it as having fun. Stefan didn't like being pushed around and abused by Katherine, but his fans take implications of Damon's behavior seriously and not Stefan's. I also noticed in season 2 that Stefan called Andie an it and double checked the subtitles. I feel like Stefan killing Andie indirectly with compulsion was tied to Damon's storyline with Andie. Obviously Stefan had his own selfish motives. Stefan stans say he did that to Andie for her own good since she was with Damon even though Stefan gave no such reasoning. If Stefan actually cared about Andie he wouldn't have called compelling and killing Andie cool when Damon tried to stop him. Stefan had plenty of time to compel her to leave Damon's life like Damon did to the girls in 1864 if he cared as well. Alaric sarcastically saying Damon was trying to be a chivalrous boyfriend to a fake girlfriend that he had used compulsion on in 3x01 and Damon losing Andie the same way he had her stick around at the beginning seemed intentional. I also noticed that in that episode he didn't feed on her or ask to do so and she had no marks on her neck. He seemed to have mellowed down in Stefan's absence. Also, that was the last episode Kevin wrote before he came back towards the end of the show. Kevin and Julie said that when they would write together he typically wrote for Damon's character. A lot of the things that people don't like Damon for: snapping Jeremy's neck, compelling Andie, killing Mason was stuff that Kevin was responsible for, but most fans hate Julie and accuse her of being blind to Damon when she has criticized him multiple times. The controversial compulsion stuff the characters did in the show stopped after Kevin left.

Stefan never really stops lying. They introduced John Gilbert in 1x13. Elena asked Stefan if he knew John, and Stefan admitted he did. What he didn't tell her as he described Damon as a monster, was the fact that he himself killed John. Elena had to wait an entire season to learn this, to hear someone describe Stefan the way Stefan described Damon. She only did because John wrote about it in his journal. Stefan then took the journal because he doesn't like Elena getting both sides of the story. He only likes her getting HIS side. You often see Elena getting two sides to the Defan relationship. Stefan gives her his side while trying to deny her Damon's side. In 1x20, Damon actually has to tell her what Stefan did to him because Stefan won't.

There's no justifying Stefan hiding his vampirism from Elena. She fell in love with him instantly, so when she found out he was a vampire, Stefan basically forced her to choose between a relationship with him or losing yet another person after she lost both her parents. She's honest about this on the porch. "I can't LOSE the way I feel about you." A scene placed between Jeremy and Vicki because that's Elena's reality. Vicki is important in the first season because she and Stefan have the same role. These two relationships are helping the siblings move on from the death of their parents. To feel normal again. Jeremy is torn open because he lost that, so Damon comes over to take away his pain. In 1x8. Lexi talks about Elena going through the stages of grief as Lexi's boyfriend had to. The girl just got done grieving her parents, and she's having to grieve her own damn boyfriend. That's what Stefan did to her. Damon is the kind of man who, when he's dying from a werewolf bite, would rather Stefan hide his death from Elena than have her mourn another grave.

Stefan is just as nasty with women, but most of his nastiness is kept to dialogues and journal entries. I consider a vampire bite without consent technical abuse. So when they talk about him getting an all girls high school shut down for attendance issues, there's a problem. Some of it is written in his journals. "I've blacked out days. I wake up in strangers' blood. In places I don't recognize. With women I don't remember." Flashbacks of him abusing and taking advantage of women in 1864, again in the 20s. Or how about the women Stefan fans like to pretend are just there to play Twister. He's abusing them too. The woman he literally kills and adds to his wall while Rebekah is trying to pick out a dress. He literally compels a married couple to sit at his table, cuts into the wife's arm, pours her blood into a glass, then forces her husband to drink it. Women he slaughters up and down the eastern seaboard, to which he started at the end of 2x22...and this was with his humanity on.

Stefan didn't kill Andie for Andie's own good. Stefan fans really are tripping if they believe that. He killed Andie because he knew she was Damon's distraction from Elena. He wanted Damon to hold onto Elena for the sake of letting him go. When Stefan accepts blame for Elena falling in love with Damon, he's being real because killing Andie was part of that. He knowingly pushed them together. The truth of Damon with Andie is every bit what Stefan claimed of those women he had playing Twister. Damon has Andie helping him be all that he can be. That's why he won't compel her or feed on her, and why he acts like a chivalrous boyfriend. He doesn't have to act that way, he wants to because he wants to learn through her. He hasn't acted human in a very long time, and he's deeply in love with Elena, so Andie is technically practice for him.

Fans have no reason to hate Julie. Impossible for a writer to be blind to their own character. What they did with Damon every episode would've been agreed upon in the writers room, and they knew the moment they decided on it. I don't know the writers of TVD all that great, but if this is Julie's show, then she had more say than Kevin.

Some weeks passed by and Jerome indeed made sure Scarlet would recover fast. He helped her with stolen medication against the pain, he robbed every store to get enough other medication for her, and he even robbed blood bags since she lost a huge amount of blood since she was too weak to walk. He cared about her more than he did about himself. Experiencing almost losing his doll made him realize how much she meant to him. She was his weak spot, he wouldn't deny it - but how cruel would it be for Jerome's ego if everybody saw how vulnerable he can be? It would be a shame! Nobody would respect him anymore, nobody would see him as a real threat - they would probably dare to call him a loser or even a pussy that couldn't handle his life without his doll. Whether it was true or not, he didn't want anyone to accuse him of wrong shit that would crack on his ego. He had to show them he was smarter, stronger, and even better than what they would eventually think about him - and he did. Not just the medical care he did, oh no, he did a lot more. He did some kind of training with her like how to walk with a straight back, stretching her muscles, and doing some workouts to strengthen her stamina. Day by day Scarlet needed to jog a few miles, run upstairs and downstairs several times, and do sit-ups, push-ups, and other stuff. Of course, he didn't torture or pressure her. He knew she needed some time to recover, but with the right treatment, you always can recover faster than people would expect.

And it worked. Within weeks, Scarlet recovered super fast. It was like she was never injured, she was never shot by Andy, and she never felt unconscious due to her massive blood loss. Scarlet became the old one, luckily. Her power came back, her mastermind, her stamina - everything was the same - and not to mention her bloodthirst and need to kill.

"So, my love," Jerome grinned, rubbing his hands in excitement "Are you ready for today? Remember today's the day we present Gotham as our real comeback! Better be up to the mark"

"You don't need to tell me what to do or how to be, Jerome" Scarlet grabbed some of her guns and hid them in her clothes anywhere ready to hand "I know myself best what and how to do. I'm not a beginner just because I've been dead. I'm the old one as before with my glorious mind and skills"

"Oh, I know, I know, princess," Jerome snickered "Not even the experience of death can change you - turning out to my advantage. I mean, who would not be happy about having a strong intelligent woman in their life with a deranged mind?"

"So you're calling me crazy?" Scarlet frowned at him, giving him one of her death dares. She hated being called crazy. She wasn't crazy, she was different, ordinary, or special. She wasn't any stupid lunatic who had no plan for life and was talking to some of the weird voices they'd hear.

"No, no, my doll," Jerome cupped her face "Quite the contrary, you're quite talented, you're special! How many people in Gotham do you know have equal abilities as you? There's no one out there in this rotten town. You're the diamond beyond all those mineral ores. You're outstanding, your human physical appearance is stunning, your mental structure is prodigious, and let's be honest," Jerome smirked "You're Gotham's number 1. See, the citizens fear you and adore you at the same time! You could take advantage of this and start a riot, a war of good and evil could be created with one finger snip - isn't that glorious?"

"Sure, J" Scarlet smirked, placing her hands on his cheeks softly "I am prepared for the Noble War, but are you too? People can be outrageous when they're starting a riot, you know? They try to replace someone to be better, we saw that on Dwight, remember? And we don't want that to happen again, do we?"

"Surely not," Jerome chuckled "But don't worry doll, I won't let anyone try taking you away from me. This kind of problem will be erased quite easily" He thought of the way he killed Dwight: manipulation, praising, and then killing. He surely knew that when starting a riot he wouldn't have time to tie people up on chairs and tape some dynamite on their bodies - so his plan was doing a blood rush like killing all men that tried to get in her near. He at least was the one who was allowed to be with her and not the others.

"Of course it will," Scarlet chuckled "It's gonna be a real bloodbath since people don't accept your comeback. Many want you dead after you let the cult fall and conceded them to be arrested in jail."

"They didn't match my expectations. How can I count on those people when they're praising an idiot that's trying to be me? They aren't loyal enough to us, they would follow any guy that's trying to implement apparent visions and plans I might have" Jerome muttered "What we need are trustworthy and loyal partners, people that just trust us. And how do we find them best?"

"We scare the shit out of them and make use of their anxiety like with guinea pigs" Scarlet gave him her darkest grin "We pull them out of their comfort zone and form them into our little helpers who do the dirty work for us"

"Oh, doll," Jerome grinned, cupping her face one more time and pressing his lips on hers softly "What would I do without you and your wonderful mind?"

Jerome and Scarlet lurked through the streets of Gotham City to find a perfect place to start the show. It had to be a big place, a public place would be the best. The park? Nah, Gotham's park of a little piece of grass that was surrounded by a little puddle. It wasn't very big, you couldn't even use it for festivals or speeches. The park was so unattractive that almost no one visited it in their free time. The park was always empty, even in summer.

The municipal building was no place either. Most of the people in town didn't pay attention to what was happening at the building's front door. Some eventually watched a scene for two minutes but most of the people simply ignore it.

So what was the best place to start a riot? To spread chaos? To start the end of Gotham City?

You're right! It's in front of the GCPD! You wonder why? It's simple! Gotham is full of crimes, it's full of danger. The people feel unsafe! They're scared! Whenever there was a danger they ran to a hidden track and hide - and their favorite hidden track was the GCPD. It was the place with the employees who try to eradicate evil. They knew they could trust these people, they knew they'd do anything to keep people like Jerome and Scarlet away from the citizens.

Good that Scarlet and Jerome weren't alone though. In the meantime, Jerome organized a little team of his and Scarlet's old friends and people who hated Jim Gordon and the whole GCPD. They wanted to see Jim Gordon and Harvey Bullock dead. They wanted to see the GCPD burn, they wanted to see the officers being scared and helpless, not knowing what to do anymore - and so Jerome's and Scarlet's followers would stand in front of the GCPD's entrance with all their weapons to hold the officers back from trying to defeat them. They, especially Jim Gordon should see the ultimate danger in Scarlet and Jerome. He should fear them, he should see their appearance as a threat, he should despair because he wouldn't have a clue how to hold them back - he and the whole GCPD should surrender.

"The boys are on their positions, see?" Jerome pointed at the guys, standing around the street and entrance. They all tho looked like street men, nobody would recognize them - same with Scarlet and Jerome. They wore scarves and masks, gloves, and old, dirty clothing to resemble the underclass. They looked like poor people walking around in the hope to get some money or food for the day.

"Yeah," Scarlet nodded, looking behind her right to the GCPD's entrance "The cops don't notice a thing either. They're probably too stuck with paperwork. You think it's time for us to start?"

Jerome said nothing at first, he was analyzing the situation: many people walked around, there were no cops that would recognize a thing, and there was no Jim Gordon who would become suspicious - the time was perfect! There was no austerity, no danger, no paternalism - nothing! Scarlet and Jerome could simply start with anything they wanted to, no one would give a shit.

"Do it! Now or never" And this was the moment when Scarlet grabbed her rapid shot under her clothing and shot in the air to the signal danger is coming.

She wanted to make people scream, she wanted to see them panic and anxious, she wanted to see them trying to run away but they would be held back by her co-workers - and all this happened. When Scarlet started to shoot, people screamed and tried to flee but they were held back by the other so-called street men, who started shooting too. Some shot at the people, and some simply shot in the air to scare them away. It was so glorious to see how they were driven in the middle like some guinea pigs that were running away from a predator, squeaking, whining, and trying to find a possible way out. Some of them even nudged others forward to be saved from the shots.

On the other hand, it was glorious to see how helpless the cops, especially Jim Gordon and Harvey Bullock, watched this scenario. Of course, they sprinted to the entrance to help, they already grabbed their guns to eventually, shoot - not possible. Right in front of them, several men blocked the entrance and pointed their guns at them, ready to shoot at any time. So their only option was to watch and see the chaos and mess Jerome and Scarlet would make.

"Oh, hello Jim, hey Harvey" Scarlet chuckled darkly "Now you see the world burn," She started cackling maniacally and walked towards the scared people that were surrounded by her co-workers "Citizens of Gotham, long time no see, right? I'm about to say we kinda missed you a little, but see: we're back! We have so much to tell you! So much to show you! There's much to do with you!" Scarlet chuckled "Like this" Scarlet went up to her upcoming victims and pulled one girl out of the crowd. She was whining, crying, and screaming at every movement Scarlet made at. She was so scared her hands and legs were shaking, she couldn't even formulate a normal sentence!

"Seems like things getting outta control, Jimbo, huh?" Jerome chuckled darkly "Your little men seem impressed to see us. You see, I'm not dead, I'm fully alive, made of flesh and bone! HAHA!" He laughed "Be honest, you missed to the see good old Jerome in his action, eh? You had enough time to prepare"

"What we miss is a quiet minute in Gotham City," Jim muttered "Ever since you vanished into thin air, Scarlet became Gotham's newest problem. She had caused a stir much more than you. She became bigger than you, worse than you"

"When has she even not worse than him?" Harvey questioned irritated. He just remembered her beginnings: the way she killed her parents brutally with no remorse or guilt, the way she blackmailed and punished her dad's coworkers if they didn't behave, her manipulative behavior toward everyone- she was just pure evil.

"My doll? Worse than me?" Jerome couldn't believe that. His doll could never be worse than him, rather equal to him. No one could be worse than him, right? He was the ultimate "No, no, no. That's not possible, she's been the somewhat decent one beyond us. She-..."

"Then watch this" Jim nodded in her direction to let them watch her scene.

"Oh, I know y'all are scared of me and my boy, by ut you don't need to! See, we all are just humans, right? We have different shoots, and needs, wishes, and demands...but all we want is satisfaction, right?" Scarlet embraced her anxious victim, pretending to calm her down "Shhh, I know you're anxious, believe me, I know how it is being driven into a corner, helpless, feeling boxed in..." she then leaned her head on her victim and slowly grabbed her knife out of her pocket "You think there's no way out but there is! Do you See the light at the end of the tunnel? This is your day, this is your way out of all your sorrows, this is your way to salvation" And so Scarlet stabbed her victim right into her neck over and over again. Scarlet loved it, she enjoyed every stroke she did to let her victim's neck. This blood, the whimpering, the body's twitching whenever the peak of the knife hit a nerve in her neck - it was wonderful.

"Wonderful, isn't it?" Scarlet let the bled-out and unconscious girl fall to the ground like some piece of trash "This is no murder, this is salvation! Let's look at this poor girl. She was so young, so anxious about the new, so jumpy about the unknown... And why? Because of her family and all the people that caused her trust issues, fear of commitment, inferiority complex because of her body or her nose, and the feeling of being neglected whenever she was not involved in something. Death through me was the best thing that could have happened to her! There's no more suffering, no sadness, no overthinking, no degrading and reviling! She's free, free like me, free like all of us very soon! You just need to follow us, follow us into our dreams! Let's make our dreams come true! For you! For Gotham!"

This little speech was what Jerome has impressed again about her. This was the real Scarlet. So manipulative, so creative, so brutal - even though, stabbing someone wasn't something special, the way she did it was amazing though. She was a true cult leader, the things she said were reliable, expressive, so vivid and emotional. This showed her again that she was the one. She was the one he wanted to be with, to make plans with, to kill with - because of this, he knew it was the right decision to talk to her in Arkham back then and to revive her after all. She was his muse, she was his secret weapon, she was his right hand, she was his chosen one.

"Amazing, doll!" Jerome applauded "I couldn't have done it better," he grinned "Y'all don't need to be afraid of us. We want to show you an opportunity without problems and sorrows. We want to show you how it is to be free, how to solve problems without feeling guilty for wrong decisions, we offer you a better way to live! We all know things may be complicated in life, especially with narcissistic parents who implement degrading and brutal measures to form us the way they want us to be. We want to show you how to fight against it!"

"Killing is not the right way! Killing is a crime! Killing is evil! All you want is to turn us into psychos like you to rebel against the GCPD! You don't wanna change Gotham, you want to destroy it!" You heard a younger male voice bravely yell through the anxious crowd. You could see others gave him a shocked look. They couldn't believe what he has dared to yell at Scarlet and Jerome. Has he become crazy? Has he really taken leave of his senses? He dared to insult them! He dared to make head against them!

"Who said that?" was the sentence Scarlet and Jerome equally said with huge devilish grins on their face when they looked over to the crowd. They both thought the same: They were impressed by his brave - he dared to resist even though he knew the consequences, he knew he'd die.

"It was me!" The younger man stepped forward, right in front of Scarlet and Jerome. He really showed no fear. There was no stammering, no shaking hands or knees, he seemed calm after all - he was a real talent, and someone like him would be of good use in their team eventually, that's what Jerome thought if there wasn't the problem of his point of view towards them.

"You're brave, my friend, mouthy but most of all you're silly and dumb. People like you always try to be the hero in every story. They try to rescue the princes from the evil stepmother but end up dead since they underestimate the evil power" Jerome chuckled bitterly.

"You're not even better! You're like every villain in a Disney movie: mouthy, absent of reality, and a megalomaniac! But in the end y'all are failing since good shall triumph!" The young men yelled in the hope to get support by the others. Sadly though, no one supported him with a "yes!" Or a "yeah!" Or any other claim since all the people were way too scared of Scarlet and Jerome. They all knew it was his death desire, they all knew it was a huge mistake to raise his voice against them.

"He reminds me of my brother. Always knew things better, always liked to command, always thought he was right, and always thought he was the better one than me." Scarlet muttered angrily, grabbing her gun and pointing it right at the guy "I hate people like my brother. They're driving me nuts! They make me hear his voice again telling me what to do or how to stop certain things" Then she started even imitating her dead brother "Hands on the table plate Scarlet! Your behavior is so rude, Scarlet! You have no manners, Scarlet!”

Jerome just started grinning, he knew what was coming - Scarlet was becoming insane. She was in psychosis, it was like she was a role in a completely different movie, it was like her personality switched with a finger snip - and this was something Jerome loved about Scarlet. It was her hidden talent, one trigger and she was the most brutal person he knew - he was about to say she became something he would consider a monster in any action movie.

"But I won't listen to my brother anymore! I am my free agent! I can do whatever I want! I'm no minor anymore who needs to be taught what's right or wrong!” And that was the moment when she started shooting at this guy, again and again, and again - up to the moment where she was out of munition. People started screaming, they tried to run away, far away from the corpse, from Scarlet or Jerome - but for sure, they couldn't. One of their sudden moves and the co-workers grabbed their guns and pointed them at the crowd to stand still.

Scarlet was full of hate, she couldn't control it though. She felt such enormous hate towards her brother that every guy who just reminded her a little of him was a red flag. It was a no-go, people like her brother were all the same, she knew that. People like him were bad, they were treating everyone like shit, they were the monsters in the world and not Scarlet! He was the reason why Scarlet became the way she was! He was the one with her parents who drove her insane! She could have lived a normal life as she used to be a normal girl, but no! She was the scapegoat in the family, she was always the guilty one, and she was always the victim! There was no doubt people like them would act the same - she just knew it, and so she had to end their lives.

“And you,” Scarlet looked up at the crowd with the most aggressive and evil death stare she could give them “You should better listen to me: You see, being mouthy and trying to tell me what's right or wrong is not the right way to get put of this situation. You won't anyway! You're stuck with me in here!” She slowly walked to the crowd with her weapon “There's no way out. No fleeing, no fighting, no annoying, no rebelling. If you do, you'll die like your little friend here,” Scarlet chuckled darkly “It would be such a tragedy, wouldn't it? So, I wanna make you a little offer. I don't wanna kill all of you, yet, I wanna make use of you instead. You should be part of our team! You should work with us! You should be free like Jerome and me!” She smiled at the crowd “So who's in?”

BNHA AU Idea

Spoilers for chapter 240 of the Manga

AfO is All for One, OfA is One for All, I don't feel like typing them

▪︎ Incase you didn't know, Midoriya and Aoyama are both quirkless. Aoyama got his quirk from AfO and is the traitor, Midoriya has OfA, blah blah blah angst. Except not really in this AU

▪︎Even in canon, Aoyama was right next to Bakugo during the bench mark testing (chapters 5-7). Ururaka heard Bakugo call Midoriya Deku, so Aoyama, who was between them, would have heard Bakugo call Midoriya quirkless. He also would have heard Recovery Girl mention how he didn't seem used to hos quirk after the entrance exam. Midoriya still goes to the nurse, and afterwards talks to Iida and officially meets Ururaka, like usual

▪︎Before they leave, or maybe the next day, Aoyama introduces himself to Midoriya, slipping a peice of paper to him. Probably says something real ominous like "I know you secret. 3 pm. Behind the cafeteria."

▪︎Though creeped out, Midoriya goes to the meeting, praying Aoyama isn't talking about his quirk. Surprise, he is! "I knkw you were born quirkless too. Did All for One tell *you* why he needs two spies?" He's worried he'll get killed for not being good enough, and Midoriya is over here freaking out too but because "wtf he works for AfO?"

▪︎Midoriya makes up an excuse and makes a run for it. The next day, Aoyama corners him to confront him. It ends with Midoriya explaining OfA and Aoyama admitting he doesn't want to spy and explaining his backstory

▪︎The two come up with a plan to subvert Aoyama's spying. They know AfO can detect lies, but I don't think they know about his detecting ill will. So, Aoyama tells "uncle" what he wants to know, and then has Midoriya "accidentally" find a paper reminding him to tell AfO. Midoriya then warns Aizawa to beef up security

▪︎It takes the USJ for Aizawa to believe Midoriya, but now he's suspicious because Midoriya refused to tell him how he knows

▪︎Midoriya is still friends with Ururaka and Iida, but since he was prepared for the USJ attack it could very plausibly affect his relationship with Tsu

▪︎Since there is a prime suspect for the traitor, Nezu convinces Inko to let Midoriya stay with Aizawa and Yamada so they can keep an eye on him. So we get Dadzawa and Earsuremic

▪︎Aoyama starts hanging out with Midoriya, Ururaka, and Iida at lunch. He's a bit of a flirt, but it's aimed mostly at Midoriya. When Ururaka asks him, Aoyama simply says he already knows Midoriya and thought he'd be more ok with it then Ururaka and Iida

▪︎When Todoroki accuses Midoriya of being All Might's love child, he also accuses him of being the traitor. Midoriya denies both, but he won't give evidence or place blame on someone else. Midoriya would have chosen Aoyama to be on his team, but Shinso asked first, so the events and rankings on the sports festival don't change

▪︎Midoriya is cleared eventually, and when he is Aoyama walks him home to thank him for not ratting him out. Midoriya just asks why he'd do that when Aoyama needs help

▪︎Midoriya warns the Wild Wild Pussycats and teachers that the League is coming. During the rest of the camp Aoyama and Midoriya hang out a lot, but during the battle Aoyama has to stay out of the way lest someone recognize him. Bakugo is still taken, but now Aizawa is suspicious of Aoyama

▪︎Aoyama would break while interrogated, super stressed that Bakugo got captured because of him. Aizawa would expel him, but then Aoyama starts freaking out that that he and his parents will be killed so Aizawa re-enrolls him with the caveat that he will no longer be told about excursions that are just the hero course and he and Midoriya still do their counter-spy thing

▪︎Aizawa starts training Shinso earlier to see if he can help with that situation

▪︎When they move into the Heights Alliance, they still have their room competition. Afterward Aoyama tells Midoriya he liked his room and he likes him and they're gay because I love them

▪︎That's all the further I've thought about this but I might add more later

Roman hit Autumn once.

It was a thud on his cheek that sat Autumn on the floor. Autumn had no idea what had happened, it had been a while since someone had been violent with him, and while he could have tried to fight back his mentor, he was stunned it had been Roman who punched him.

For the second time in his life, Autumn wondered what he did wrong and why he deserved punishment.

Autumn walked in late at night into Roman's room because he had had a nightmare. He was thirteen, and the killing of those three men had been recent. Autumn never had any comfort, and he wondered if the man that's always kept him safe wouldn't mind if he slept next to him until he felt more appeased.

However, Roman was wearing a dress; his long white hair was adorned with pearls, and his lips were an elegant red. Between the sight and the punch, Autumn thought he was the most beautiful person he's ever seen. And that beauty wasn't shattered by the hostility of a strong and powerful man.

"I'm sorry." Autumn was the first to get out of the perplexed state.

No, no. No. No. No. Roman wasn't saying a word, but Autumn could read it on his face. Terror was printed, and the red of his lips couldn't hide the gloom in his eyes.

"It won't happen again." Autumn left for his room, hating himself for being so frail, for thinking his restlessness could finally have a warm bed. Instead, he was naïve and thought of relying on the same man that every day recited: "don't ever expect someone will come to save you."

The lesson was loud and clear.

A couple of days passed by until Roman finally left his room. They met in the kitchen and shared a silent cup of coffee until the older man finally spoke.

Roman had a scar on the center of his face. It wasn't caused in any of the missions but by his father, who entered his room one night and found him wearing his mother's heels and makeup. Roman was sixteen and accused of being a low homosexual, a putrid child, and a shameful son. Roman's father pulled him by his hair and cut his face with a knife, so he would never have a beautiful face to put on makeup.

Shortly after that event, Roman was inscribed into the military service, where his career would start.

Roman wasn't a homosexual, but he enjoyed cross-dressing. Roman was born into a society that denied men the possibility to appreciate all considered feminine; poetry, art, and glamour. He had been sentenced to a masculinity he believed tainted. Roman lived under said disguise for many years until he met Inessa, his wife, a plastic artist under the pseudonym of Vladimir. Together, they lived their truthful self in secrecy and intimacy, away from society.

Lastly, Roman apologized to Autumn. It was a late apology. Autumn was emotionally away from that story, and the man speaking wasn't his savior anymore, just his mentor.

"Your father was wrong." Autumn shrugged. "You still have a beautiful face."

Roman read between the silence and the lines and understood that the damage was done.

Ridden by guilt, he could only thank Autumn for the compliment and turn his life story and cross-dressing abilities into a brief explanation for the next training: espionage.

Merlin Spotify Playlist

I've had a Merlin Spotify Playlist for a while, so I figured I would post some of the songs and their explanations here! There are currently 124 songs, so I won't be doing all of them unless someone requests some more. Hope you enjoy!

I'll Never Forget The Time I Spent With You - The Lathums

A lot comes to mind with this song. Of course, the finale is the most obvious one in terms of the lyrics of this song, but I imagine Merlin feels this a lot. With all the friends he has lost along the way and all the ones he outlived, Merlin likely spends a lot of time lost in the memories he has of those he couldn't save. But there is one line here that reminds me of the theories around The Once and Future King, with Arthur recognising Merlin's eyes and saying a variation of "Do I know you?" every time he meets Merlin or one of his aliases. "I won't forget the time I spent with you. Before we'd even met, I've spent a lifetime with you."

Burn the Witch - Shawn James

This song reminds me a lot of Morgana, for obvious reasons. But it also reflects what some of the magic-users during Uther's reign would have felt as they were tied to the stake. Despite the burning being a horrifically negative thing, there is something profound that must be respected in the way that the artist sings of not giving them the satisfaction of hearing him scream as the fire is lit.

Battlefield - SVRCINA

This song reflects both Merlin and the Knights. Arthur spends a great deal of time in the series fighting in battles and later on planning and leading them. As the Crown Prince and a respected Knight, Arthur has a great deal of pressure on his shoulder, especially with Uther as his father. Like when Arthur half-heartedly expressed the wish to go off and be a farmer leading a simple life, Arthur wants to get rid of the pressure and responsibility sometimes. But since he could never give up Camelot because of his love for the kingdom and its people, he continues on despite the pain. As for Merlin, though he is not a Knight and the majority of the characters would not recognise him as a warrior, spends a lot of time with life and death in his hands, forced to play a godlike role in his responsibility as Emrys.

Iris - The Goo Goo Dolls

This is the second song on my playlist. It's on a lot of my other playlists since my parents listened to it, and the lyrics fit Merlin perfectly. We all love some Merlin angst, and the lyrics of this song can be interpreted many different ways.

And I'd give up forever to touch you 'Cause I know that you feel me somehow You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be And I don't want to go home right now

This makes me think of Arthur in Avalon, and Merlin's immortality. Arthur is the closest Merlin will ever get to heaven, and I imagine in the present day he longs for the 'horseplay' and causal affection Arthur gave him.

And I don't want the world to see me 'Cause I don't think that they'd understand When everything's made to be broken I just want you to know who I am

The chorus is just so Merlin. He tells Gaius he thinks he is a monster, and he is terrified of his friends finding out he has magic and condemning him for it.

Liar - The Arcadian Wild

I sense there’s trouble ahead. It’s clear by the signs and warnings that should tell where all blame is due. So why are they pointing at my head?

There are a lot of plotlines that involve Merlin being under suspicion for things he didn't do, the most obvious one I can think of being when Gwen in the later seasons accused Merlin of poisoning Arthur. Merlin was arrested and all of his friends, the people he guarded with his life, believed he had tried to kill the one he loved.

‘Cause I’m not in a right state of mind. I just wish I had strength to admit it. My stubbornness will put up a fight, but I don’t deserve to win it. I’m left in the dark pondering my mistakes, but in the light I swear I will deny it all.

Merlin pushes himself to do better all of the time, and especially in the later seasons he tears himself apart mentally, on top of the trauma he has lived through.

Someone being found by a court as not being able to be charged with a violation because there isn’t enough evidence to legally prove it beyond a reasonable doubt is NOT the same as someone being found to have for sure not committed the violation. Also all those pedo/“jailbait” and racist texts he sent are still real.

(Cont) So: He may well have done it and I didn’t see any proof-positive evidence presented that his accuser lied at all.

For comparison this would be like if I keyed your car and you saw me do it, but there’s 0 evidence I did besides your word and I’m convincing in denying it to a court so I get off free. Does that make you a liar for sure? Does that mean I didn’t do it for sure? Or does it just mean I can’t be convicted of it.

I'll be super honest, I'm assuming I've heard and possibly even posted before about his behavior on Twitter, probably because I agreed with the sentiment someone else said (or maybe I said it?) that it doesn't surprise me that the person who wrote Rick and Morty would do that, not because it's a given that someone who writes that way is a creep, but because as far as I managed to watch I kind of picked up on something underneath it all that could have just been my imagination or it might not have been. But I pay so little attention to content creators that I can't even remember the guy's name unless I look it up and I forgot all about that he had been saying a bunch of gross stuff, too.

But like, when curiosity gets the better of me, after seeing a post on here talking about how so-and-so is being a dick on social media or some other such thing that's just vague enough that if you know you know and if you don't it won't mean much to just read it, I'll look up the name for a Wikipedia page and jump to the controversy section just to see what's up. His whole thing with the charges probably stuck with me since it's not all that often that accusations against people like him make it to court.

But as to your actual point, you're right, and I think I assumed when that ask was saying that he was declared innocent that that meant his accuser rescinded the accusation, or admitted that she had made it up, or something along those lines, but I work...maybe not necessarily in the legal field, but adjacent to it, so in my mind if someone is declared innocent that's above and beyond the case being thrown out due to insufficient evidence (I'm just assuming that's what happened, based on the content of your ask). Obviously every defendant is innocent until adjudicated guilty within the scope of the trial, but people have to make their own judgments out in the world.

As a whole I don't have any faith in the legal system. Juries will be biased no matter what the judge tells them before they're sent out for deliberations. The state will hide behind the concept of probable cause to bypass illegal search and seizure. Defendants get any and all prior criminal history marched out if they try to speak on their own behalf, in spite of the fact that nobody is supposed to assume guilt due to prior behavior. Every person in the courtroom knows good and well that they're operating under a fundamentally flawed system that really only gets worse with every reform brought forth to try and improve it.

One thing I must disagree with, though, is that because he creeped on that lady on Twitter that it serves as an indication that there's a higher likelihood he did the assault/kidnapping thing. One of the only things that the justice system gets right is the narrow scope of proceedings, because prior behavior doesn't necessarily mean that what someone is on trial before is more likely to be true.

Personally though, I think that if more people were killed trying to commit these sorts of crimes before they ever got a trial, there wouldn't be nearly as many. Unfortunately you have to be afraid of the state coming down on you for defending yourself half the time anymore.
