It’s Risotto’s birthday and Formaggio had the great idea to take the entire team to all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ. It’s not their first time eating here, but it’s definitely not their last.
Tumblr media
So, here are my headcanons on what eating KBBQ with the boys would be like.
Illuso doesn’t mind KBBQ but he can’t stand smelling like grilled meat and gas/coal after a meal, so he spends most of his time in the mirror world when the crew goes out to eat. At one point, using the mirror world was La squadra’s way of doing AYCE without having to pay for more per people (because they can just have Risotto bring a mirror, hand the food to them there, and everyone else is in said mirror grilling as they please), but the team ultimately decided that it was way better to just pay for everyone and eat in the restaurant than stay in the mirror world with Illuso just to eat for cheaper. Illuso will complain about how the meat is cooked or how he’s going to smell awful afterwards- and then proceeds to eat all the meats before anyone can have barely a taste. Every time the team goes to eat, someone simply brings and props up a mirror near the grill and have him grab meats from it whenever he pleases. Servers are scratching their heads when they notice a random arm popping out of seemingly nowhere to grab a piece of sam gyeob sal like a horror movie.
Prosciutto doesn’t mind having his clothes smell after KBBQ surprisingly; he claims he is doing what South Koreans do when it comes to walking out of a restaurant smelling like grilled meats after a good meal. In fact, he’s on meat grilling duty most of the time. His job is to make sure everything is cooked to order quickly and properly so that all the team members are fed. Like any senior citizen, he’s a karen who would complain about things like not getting any meats in quickly, the wait time being too long, the grills not being changed quickly enough, etc. He’s ordering the meats too and wants to make sure that the team get’s their money’s worth. That means ordering the better cuts of meats if available like kalbi and duck and yelling at his teammates for eating 5 hours before dinner (not even a cookie is acceptable). He gets pissy if anyone tries to order what he deems as “cheaper cuts of meats” like chicken or fish or spends more of their time eating banchan instead.
Pesci gets yelled at for wanting said cheaper cuts because his stomach can’t always handle heavier meats and wants to eat items oftentimes on the non-AYCE menu. He prefers a-la-carte since he can control how much meat he can get, which is sometimes okay if the team is just wanting a simple meal but kind of annoying when they’re at an AYCE area.  The team likes to use Pesci to get free stuff, so they would come in saying it’s Pesci’s birthday or that Pesci is way younger than he is to get a children’s discount. Pesci, being the good boi he is, tries to correct them, which results in Formaggio or Prosciutto to elbow him to not expose their lies. He likes his meat more well done and is willing to wait for his other members to eat first so that the meat he wants cooks longer, sometimes making him a garbage disposal for meats he can eat. Prosciutto always hounds on him to finish his meats so that nothing is wasted and therefore no extra fees are paid regardless of his stomach. Still, Pesci still enjoys these times since its fun to people watch the chaos that unfolds.
Melone backs Pesci up regarding the non-AYCE because he sometimes craves those items too and will offer to pay for the non-AYCE items himself so Prosciutto could shut up and let them eat stuff outside of the AYCE menu for once. He can still eat the meats on the grill but he spends much of his time making wraps with the vegetarian banchans and non-AYCE items at the table. He loves banchan like Kongnamul Muchim and Oi Muchim and is always asking the servers to refill on them every second. He’s also an expert in creating wraps. Rice wraps, radish wraps, lettuce wraps- all the wraps that could be made, Melone makes them all and with various combinations. He will make them for himself and his team members if they ask, sometimes teasing them to “open wide” so he can personally feed them. Formaggio still wonders how Melone can fit his wraps, which are often large and very compacted, into his mouth sometimes in one go. But the man manages. Somehow the man manages to eat a log of food and moans in the process. Thank God the restaurant is loud enough so no one would hear that.
Formaggio loves his meats, but he also loves his sauces and seasonings. He prefers ordering the non-marinated stuff so he can season the meats right on the table and dips his meats in EVERYTHING. He loves the KBBQ places where you can DIY your sauces and would make his own combos of peanut sauces, chili sauces, garlic sauces, all the sauces. Get this man away from corn cheese because he will never leave. Part of why Illuso stays in the mirror world is because Formaggio once spilled fish sauce on him while trying to get back to his seats. When it comes to the non-marinated meats like steak cuts, Formaggio puts on a show. He’ll salt and pepper the meat before using the butter to mix with the free garlic from the sauce bar and melt the complimentary butter so the steak could be based in it later on. When it comes to eating however, he’s more on eating meats than eating banchan, mainly because he’s not a vegetable kind of guy and wants to “get all his protein in”. Formaggio wouldn’t mind sneaking in a bit of Eomuk Bokkeum or Gamja Jorim to cleanse his palate though.
Ghiaccio is also on team “only meat so I can get my protein in” but he tries to steer away from eating the marinated stuff to really optimize his macros; if anything he prefers Yakiniku more because there’s less marinated meats in that style, but he will never say no to KBBQ nonetheless. He’s also the person trying to get the most bang for his buck but rather than starve he just works himself out even more that day to have more calories to eat or hits the gym right after. An unofficial garbage disposal, he takes up left over meats not only to avoid waste fees but to really get as much protein regardless of taste. He does balance it with an occiasional grilled veggie or vegetable banchan as a means to cleanse his palatte but he’s often trying to fight over getting meat in his mouth first. He’s also down to experiment if there’s an unusual dishes to grill, especially if he’s at a KBBQ place that’s less conventional. Organ meat? Other animals? Meat is meat and Ghiaccio is immediately wanting to try it out.
Sorbet helps Prosciutto in terms of choosing which meats are best to pick. He knows his meats and knows which one would be worth eating loads on. However, unlike Prosciutto, he likes variety and would convince the former to order other meats besides pork and beef if it’s worth it. It’s also because he feels sorry for Pesci and would have Prosciutto order non-marinated meats and seafood so the guy can eat with the rest of the team. He definitely pregamed before the meal yet somehow he managed to eat way more, saying that he needs to train his stomach to eat lots of food when it comes to these. Sorbet actually prefers marinated meats the most, since he believes its a good indicator of whether the restaurant is good and he’s not too fond of dipping into sauces to flavor the meat. He also likes going to places that have more unusual banchan, either complimentary or at additional costs, like Yangnyeom Gejang.
Gelato is mostly sitting back when it comes to KBBQ but he’s on drink duty! He’s the one ordering soju shots, beers, cocktails, and doing all those twists and rituals needed before opening a soju bottle. He’s also the one setting up and getting the team to play drinking games, hounding everyone to get into the action and laughing at how competitive everyone gets in the end. His goal is to make everyone as drunk as possible so he could get some potential blackmail to use against his members in case someone crosses him but also because his idea of fun involved drunken shenanigans. Usually, he ends up being the drunkest, so La Squadra lives another day not getting blackmail. Of course, he also times it well enough to make sure no one that’s going to drive will be sober enough to drive once the meal is done. The only person he doesn’t have drink is Risotto, mainly because Risotto is always the designated driver and the only driver everyone collectively trust to get home in one piece.
Risotto is unofficial main garbage disposal alongside Pesci and Ghiaccio. All the cooked meats that are left uneatened, either because the team doesn’t want to eat it anymore or they’re becoming full but they don’t want to charge extra for waste, it goes to Risotto. Given how big he is and how high his metabolism is as well, he doesn’t mind eating the leftovers and finishing the meal if needed. Secretly, this is also because he doesn’t mind eating well-done, slightly overcooked meats, so this is his opportunity to eat such meats without getting ridiculed under the guise that he’s helping out. Given that it is his birthday, everyone tries to order the best meats for him and shelling a few extra bucks for the premium menu options. In reality, he’s fine with the sliced briskets and various Bulgogi. He doesn’t need anything fancy. He’s just glad that he and his boys are having dinner together despite their hectic schedules.
---
At the end of the meal, everyone is stuffed. Formaggio is crying because his stomach is hurting from overeating. Illuso exaggerates on how he can’t walk and throws himself onto members before getting pushed off by them. Prosciutto says he never wants to do KBBQ again if he keeps feeling awful after every time he eats. Pesci is whimpering because his stomach is also hurting but doesn’t want to appear weak. Everyone collectively say they can no longer eat another bite and walk back to the parking lot in silence for the rest of the way out. When they reach to their cars, Melone speaks up.
“Anyone want to go get boba?”
“Oh hell yeah!”
“So down.”
“Definitely craving some right now.”

Day 2: Ice Cream
The next day, I woke up in a sweat. And way too early too!
With a frustrated groan, I threw the blankets off of me and headed to the shower, turning it on as cold as possible. Yes, I was jumping from one foot to the other, but once I got used to the temperature it was heavenly. I didn’t want to get out. But I had to.
Instead of my usual sweatpants, I put on an airy dress. I contemplated what to do with my hair, until I just decided to put it up in a ponytail.
Before I left, I opened the windows to get some fresh air into my room, but it was barely any help. Then it was time to ask Tony what was wrong with the AC.
And I wasn’t the only one. As soon as I arrived in the living area, I met almost every person that lived in the Tower. They were all standing around Tony who was swiping around on his tablet.
“I don’t know what is wrong yet, keep calm for a bit.” Everyone sighed.
“Keep calm? It’s like thirty degrees in here!” Sam was complaining and I would have loved to do the same, but I knew it wouldn’t help. Instead, I searched the crowd for Loki, until I found him standing at the edge of the group.
“Hey you.” I gently poked him in the side, and he smiled at me.
“Good morning, love. You are up quiet early.” He kissed my forehead and placed his hand on my back. I just shrugged.
“The heat woke me up, I guess. I hate warm weather.” Loki chuckled.
“Yeah…I think that was one of the things you liked about me.” I raised my eyebrows in question. Instead of answering, his hand on my back slowly started to feel colder and colder. A slight shiver ran through me, not expecting it, but I liked it.
A quiet moan escaped my lips before I could stop it, making Loki laugh quietly.
“And that was something I liked about you. Still do, to be honest.” My eyes widened and I felt myself getting all flustered. I swatted at his arm, but he just chuckled. I was about to say something, when Tony spoke up.
“Okay, everyone! I think I found the reason that the AC is out, but it will take me some time to fix it. So…go do whatever you have to! I’ll try to have it fixed by tonight. But no promises!”
The group slowly dispersed, until only Loki and I were left.
“So, do you have something to do today?” I shook my head no to Loki’s question.
“Why? Do you want to do something?”
“With you? Anytime!” I grinned and took his hand, interlacing our fingers.
“Perfect. I just quickly have to stop by my room, then we can go.” I started to lead him to the elevator.
“Go where?”
“To get some ice cream!”
I had quickly grabbed my purse before Loki and I ventured out onto the streets of New York City. The temperature was still high, but thanks to the slight wind, it was much more bare able then inside the Tower. Our fingers still interlaced, I led him through the crowds, past stores and restaurants until we found my favorite ice cream place.
“Ah! Y/N, back to get your usual?” The people that worked there already knew me.
“As always!” I smiled at the kind old man, who grabbed a cone and filled it with Y/F/I/C/F ice cream.
“And for your friend?” I turned to Loki, who was looking at the different flavors through the glass, not sure what to get.
“Hmm…let’s get the blue bubble gum one and cookies.” The man nodded and prepared Loki’s cone.
I quickly paid, before I once again grabbed Loki’s hand and led him towards Central Park, which was close. On the way there, I had to remind Loki a few times to eat, so that the ice cream wouldn’t melt and get all over his hands.
By the time we reached the park, both of us were almost done with our ice cream. I grabbed two bottles of water at one of the carts that line the outside of the park, before I led Loki to a large free space.
“Oh shoot. I forgot to grab a blanket.” Within a second, Loki held one in his hand. I chuckled and together we laid it on the ground before we got comfortable on it. I sighed in content, leaning back until I laid on my back. Loki did the same, his head resting right next to mine. I turned and looked at him, smiling when I saw that he did the same. I noticed too late that Loki was holding his ice cream parallel to his face and I just broke out laughing when his ice cream met his face.
He immediately shot up trying to wipe the ice cream off his face. When he noticed that I was still laughing instead of helping him, he quickly gathered some ice cream off of his face and smeared it all over my nose.
I gasped, surprised at his action and also sat up. As revenge I pressed my entire cone against his cheek, leaving it there, stuck to his skin.
It continued that way until both of us were covered with the sticky, cold treat. We were laughing, playing around with each other until we finally calmed down.
I tried to get some wet wiped out of my bag without smearing ice cream all over it, but I was unsuccessful. After giving up, I turned to the Asgardian God.
“Could you…?” He didn’t even need to move, for us to be covered in a green glow that somehow cleaned us up. I thanked him and he just smiled.
“You know, we did this a lot in Asgard.” I was surprised.
“We ate ice cream in Asgard?” Loki laughed in response.
“No, no. We spent a lot of time in my mother’s gardens. Sitting on a blanket, playing around…” He smiled, clearly caught in the memories. I smiled too…wishing that we could share the memories.
“I’m sorry I forgot all that.” He shook his head no.
“It’s my fault, Y/N. I shouldn’t have done what I did. But…I’ll do everything to win you back. I promise.” That made me smile.
“So far, it’s working.” He grinned from one ear to another before he held up his index finger and told me to wait for a second. He quickly got to his feet and walked around the small meadow, gathering something.
When he was done, he came back and sat down, patting his lap, not showing me what he was gathering. Without hesitation, I laid my head down on his thighs and looked up at him.
“Okay, close your eyes.” I did as he told me and waited for some time, enjoying the soft breeze that blew around us. After some time, I felt something soft on my forehead. I opened my eyes, seeing Loki slightly bend over me, placing something on my head.
“Hey! I didn’t say you could open your eyes!” I chuckled.
“Well, what are you doing?” He rolled his eyes with a grin and summoned a mirror, holding it so that I could see myself. A gasp left my mouth.
“Loki! This is beautiful!” I sat up, taking the mirror from his hand. He had somehow interwoven different flowers and made them into a beautiful crown. I looked up at him.
“Who taught you that?” He smiled, his cheeks slightly red.
“You.” My eyes widened.
“I did?” He nodded.
“You made those for me. Especially when it was decided that Thor would become King. I still remember the day before the big ceremony.”
Loki POV
“Loki! Loki, hey.” I was storming through the halls of the palace after I saw the preparations for Thor’s big ceremony. I could feel the anger boiling inside me, but her voice, sounding behind me calmed me down. I stopped and turned around, waiting for her to catch up. As I saw her, I couldn’t help but smile.
She was wearing a beautiful, green summer dress, with a golden belt, a golden bracelet and necklace I had gifted her, as well as matching earrings. Some strands of her hair were braided and gathered on the back of her head. Her golden sandals clacked against the floor.
“Hey…are you okay?” She had reached me and placed her hands on my arms. I gently shook my head no. She sighed, before she grabbed my hand, leading me further away from the preparations. We soon ended up in my mother’s gardens.
“Sit down and wait for me, okay?” I nodded and made my way to our usual place, where a comfortable blanket and a mountain of pillows were already waiting for me. As always.
Y/N soon returned and had something hidden behind her back.
“Close your eyes.” She really is the only one that can tell me what to do, without me complaining. I closed my eyes, waiting for her. I could hear her footsteps slowly coming towards me before I felt something on my head. A smile spread across my face, already knowing what it was.
When I opened my eyes, Y/N was kneeling before me, holding my hands in her small ones.
“You don’t need that crown, love. You will always be my king.” I smiled and pulled her into a hug.
“I love you, Y/N.” I could feel her smile against my neck.
“I love you too.” She pulled back slightly, before she gently pressed her lips against mine. My hand moved to her waist and I pulled her with me until I was laying on my back, her on top of me. When we pulled apart, she rested her head on my chest.
“You know…at some point you really have to teach me how to make those crowns.” She chuckled and nodded.
Y/N POV
Tears were streaming down my cheeks by the time Loki finished his retelling of that memory. When he looked up, his eyes widened and he immediately moved closer to me, his hands cupping my face and wiping the tears away.
“I’m so sorry lov-Y/N. I didn’t mean to make you cry.” I shook my head and covered his hands with mine.
“No. No, it’s…I’m just so angry at myself for everything and…I wish I could remember this. Remember us.” Loki smiled sadly and nodded, pulling me into a hug.
“I know…I…I will try and help you.” I wrapped my arms around his neck.
We stayed that way until my tears stopped and I had calmed down. By then it was already starting to cool down and we decided to head back to the tower.
Loki helped me to my feet and let the blanket disappear before he held out his hand.
“Let’s go back.” I nodded and placed my hand in his, intertwining out fingers.
He did everything in his power to cheer me up while we walked through the city and he succeeded. We came by the ice cream store and decided to get some for the others. We got five boxes in total and Loki insisted on carrying them all.
When we got back to the tower, I let Friday make an announcement that we brought back ice cream and almost every resident of the tower came to the kitchen to get some. Tony had managed to get the AC, so the temperature in the tower was back to normal.
Tired from the day and everything that had happened, I excused myself, but not before pulling Loki to the side. I carefully picked the flower crown from my head and held it before me.
“Could you…you know…preserve this somehow? I don’t want the flowers to welt.” Loki chuckled and nodded. A green glow encased the crown for a few seconds before Loki assured me that the crown would not go bad.
“Thank you. Good night.” I got to the tip of my toes and pressed a quick kiss to Loki’s cheek. Then I turned around and walked to the elevator. I could still hear Loki, quietly bidding me good night.

Stirring the Pot of Culinary Inclusivity
Picture this, it’s Thanksgiving and you smell a turkey in the oven, mac and cheese cooling off, and your favorite cookie dough being rolled into balls on a tray. Who do you picture making these dishes? Most people might imagine their mom, aunts, or grandmother in the kitchen. But when you see the cooking show they’re watching, it's Gordon Ramsey or Guy Fieri. Even in the broad field of culinary arts, gender disparities continue to persist. This can be seen as more men occupying the prestigious position of head chefs in high-end restaurants than women. The roots of this phenomenon can be traced back to historical gender roles; women were traditionally pushed to fulfill domestic responsibilities, including daily cooking for the family. Throughout this post I want to talk about the average mom’s kitchen and the demanding environment of a five-star restaurant. Hopefully by the end, we’ll have a better understanding of the factors contributing to the underrepresentation of women in the culinary world.
The traditional division of labor assigned women the role of homemakers, responsible for managing household chores, childcare, and, inevitably, daily meal preparation. This societal expectation has perpetuated the stereotype that women excel in the domestic kitchen but face challenges when transitioning to the professional culinary arena. The nurturing and warm familial connotations associated with women's cooking have led to the assumption that their skills are better suited for home environments rather than the high-pressure, fast-paced setting of a professional kitchen. While we know that the domestic kitchen is often characterized with a more relaxed atmosphere and a professional kitchen demands precision and speed, what many fail to recognize is that many women have probably had to take care of multiple domestic chores at the same time. For instance, in a high paced 5 star kitchen, each chef has a task, and a time limit to complete that task, but in a home, a mother might have a 5 month old on her hip, toddlers running through the kitchen, and dishes that she’s trying to get done while preparing dinner for more than four people. Although these situations are not the same, we can recognize that although women might not be getting paid to prepare meals every night, they do have to overcome a certain level of stress and emotional turmoil in order to get certain tasks done. In terms of women who might want to enter the world of culinary arts, they might struggle for a number of reasons, including finding other women to learn from in this field.
The culinary industry has historically been male-dominated, with men holding key positions and shaping the narrative around professional cooking. The lack of representation of women in leadership roles within the culinary world creates a cycle where aspiring female chefs may struggle to envision themselves breaking through the glass ceiling. In a field where mentorship and role models play a crucial role, the absence of prominent female figures in top culinary positions creates a challenging environment for women seeking to climb the professional ladder. Additionally, the gender disparity in the chef career is the demanding nature of the job. Long and irregular working hours, physically strenuous tasks, and the relentless pursuit of perfection are all inherent aspects of the culinary profession. Society's ingrained expectations regarding women's primary roles as caregivers and nurturers may push them away from pursuing a career that demands such dedication and sacrifice. Understanding how societal expectations influence behaviors and opportunities for both men and women in the culinary sphere, lets expand on how gender is performed within the professional kitchen.
Gender roles in the culinary field are shaped by societal expectations, media portrayals, and cultural norms, influencing how men and women perform their roles in the kitchen. Pop culture uses chefs like Anthony Bourdain to emphasize gender roles, depicting men as authoritative and powerful. In the Food Network cooking show Chopped, where chefs compete to win a grand prize of $10,000, women are often disqualified earlier than men. Although individuals may not be outwardly claiming their sexist practices, everyone can see how traditional biases continue to negatively impact women, even on national TV. Gender performance in culinary arts perpetuates harmful stereotypes and limitations for female chefs. The ingrained expectation that cooking is a feminine task confines women to traditional roles within the kitchen, which undermines their potential for creativity and leadership. This view not only restricts opportunities for women, but it also devalues their contributions, and categorizes their work as domestic and less significant.
To address the gender disparity in the chef profession, it’s important to challenge and reshape societal perceptions of gender roles. Encouraging young girls to explore their culinary interests, providing mentorship programs, and spotlighting successful female chefs can help break down the barriers that perpetuate the current imbalance. Fostering workplace environments that prioritize diversity and inclusion can create a more supportive atmosphere for women pursuing careers in the culinary world. Overall, the dominance of men in the culinary profession stems from historical gender roles, societal expectations, and the demanding nature of the job. The contrast between the average mom's kitchen and a five-star restaurant kitchen underscores the unique challenges women face in breaking into this male-dominated field. By challenging stereotypes, promoting inclusivity, and highlighting the accomplishments of female chefs, we can begin to create a more inclusive and balanced future in the culinary world for women.

World Baking Day
World Baking Day is celebrated annually on the third Sunday in May as the day for everyone to bake something. This year, it falls on May 21. Are you a person who bakes often? Or, are you someone who has never baked at all? If you’re the latter, the day is for you to bake something. Sweet or savory, pretzels or crackers, you have to indulge in baking at least once. You’ll most likely love it, especially if you have baked goods of choice. So, get yourself ready for this tasty experience.
History of World Baking Day
World Baking Day is a campaign started by Unilever to promote their margarine products. World Baking Day was celebrated on May 17, but the day is to be celebrated on a Sunday so that people would have time to bake. World Baking Day was initially observed on May 20, 2012, which was the third Sunday in May. The day is meant for people to bake something and give it away to show that they care. So, we chose to refer to our World Baking Day as the one on the third Sunday in May.
Baking is done in an oven, but it can also be on hot ashes or hot stones. It has been traditionally performed by women at home and by men at bakeries and restaurants. Baked goods, especially bread, are a common and essential food, economically and culturally, so the art of baking is considered a fundamental skill. People whose profession is to prepare baked goods are bakers; pastry chefs are those who are trained in the art of making bread, pastries, desserts, and other baked goods.
One of the most common items of baked goods is bread, although many other types of food can also be baked. From cakes, cookies, and pretzels to pizzas, lasagne, and baked potatoes, there are many foods you can put in the oven to enjoy baking and tasting. Sweet or savory, the options of baked goods are endless. Pies, for example, can be made sweet and savory — apple pie, sugar pie, steak pie, and quiche, yum. So, what are you going to bake today? Whatever it’ll be, make sure you share it with your loved ones.

March 30,2023
1. We ate every meal at home today which feels very rare for us on the weekends. Breakfast was bread cheese avocado egg. Scrumptious. Lunch was bibim gooksoo (and the kids always eat the opposite things in the meal. For the kids we did a soy bibim gooksoo and naya ate noodles only and Dani ate the cucumbers and egg only). Then for dinner we had steak, Brussels sprouts, carrots, bap and man the steak was so so good.
Jason grated some moo and we ate the steak w moo and wasabi. We went on and on about how this meal at a restaurant would have been $300 and thus 6x what we actually paid for the ingredients lol.
Tumblr media
2. Latelt it feels like there are so many extra expenses to pay for.
- we got our air ducts cleaned and Jason said the guy who cleaned them said we have rats or squirrels in our attic and thst they’ve chewed up a bunch of stuff. So we’re getting an exterminator to come on Tuesday. And then we have to fix some of the vent issues. It’s $1800 just for the air duct cleaning. So there will be added costs for some of this other stuff.
Then the girls have a two week break last week of July and first week of august so I’m signing them up for imaginology bc we just can’t watch them during the work week. That’s going to be like $1300.
Then we still need to buy Korea tickets and for four people that’ll be …$5-6k? Plus the airbnbs and hotels themselves.
Every time we go to Costco it’s $500. Every time we go to the market (even if it’s like just to get soup or random odd stuff during the week) it comes out to $100-150 plus.
3. We got a kids book from the library and it’s about these 4 animals that need to share 3 cookies and the girls are OBSESSED with it. It’s quite a good book. It talks about math concepts while being super entertaining for them. I wann find more books like that.
4. I feel bad bc I think my patience meter keeps hitting the max really fast. The other day I was showering the girls and after someone said or did something I just left and told Jason can you do it. I just can’t. And the next morning even Jason was like omg. They’re so a-n-n-o-y-I-n-g. And they truly can be. Naya talks so much about nothing or repeats what when we’re not talking to her but makes us repeat what we’re saying anyway. And then Dani is just a menace hitting or scratching naya or trying to sit on my lap while I’m trying to do the dishes or like get something done.
I know they’re also so cute and I’ll miss them at this age but I can’t wait until Dani’s 4 and we hit the promise land people talk abt. I will want to freeze them at 4 forever once they get there but I’m looking forward to actually getting there.

Unvarnished Truth
If there is any prevailing mindset on the internet, it is that it is the wild, wild west. From the moment we were able to access it easily, it was pretty much a case of anything goes. Let the user beware, because you needed to take everything with a grain of salt. The burden has always been on the user to verify before acting upon.

Of course, today we have heard many instances of censorship, with accounts being closed in extreme cases, or content blocked because it violated “community standards” or did not pass fact checkers’ scrutiny. Users have been remiss in not recognizing that platform owners, like Facebook, Twitter, and all the others, can do whatever they want, and we use their platforms at their pleasure, not ours.

But the Supreme Court is reviewing a subject that could have major implications for all sites and social media platforms. Justice Samuel Alito asked the big question: Would the internet collapse if sites were responsible for the content displayed on them?

Wow. Suddenly every bad restaurant or hotel review could become a legal war zone if the restaurant or hotel feels it has been maliciously misrepresented. So much for honest reviews.

Tumblr media
As it turns out, the US has had a liability shield in place for 27 years, leaving counter-arguments from those receiving bad reviews to simply fend for themselves. After all, how could Google, YouTube, et al., possibly police so much content anyway?

That could all change in a heartbeat, and soon.

You might already be thinking about copyrighted music on sites like YouTube. Is YouTube liable if you post a video with your favorite song as a music bed? Technically, no, because following a 2007 case in which Viacom charged YouTube with copyright violation, the burden of proof is on the copyright holder, not the platform. But YouTube (and essentially Google) willingly installed its own algorithms to check for it anyway just to keep trouble to a minimum.

As it turns out, in the EU, YouTube is liable, so it makes sense for YouTube to err on the European side, much like all big websites have done regarding cookies.
Music is one thing, though, and perceived commercial libel is quite another. Sites like Google, TripAdvisor, Yelp, and others thrive on customer reviews, which can range from stellar to abysmal. And given the greater propensity of people to complain rather more than congratulate, it’s easy to see how businesses would fear keyboard warriors and the venom they can spew.
In other words, what would be the point of any review sites if the site owner had to police them as well as fact-check them? Nothing would ever be posted aside from glowing 5-star reviews. Those are the ones we as readers trust less anyway, because we are naturally skeptical of high praise. Can anyone say paid shill? Family member?
We automatically expect a hotel to be less than perfect as judged in the court of public opinion. I know I do. I am willing to consider any hotel or restaurant that has an average review of 4.0 or better, out of 5. A 4.4 is pretty good, because it means there haven’t been too many negative reviews.
Basically, negative reviews are the expectation, and the fewer there are, the better the business must be. But absence of negative reviews raises a huge red flag.
I shudder to think how the internet would look if the Supreme Court were to reverse that liability shield. I don’t want to live in a digital world in which it is always sunny and 75. If a reviewer gives you a bad rap, it’s probably because you deserved it, and even more true if there is a plethora of scathing comments. I don’t want to be shielded from the truth.
That’s another way of saying that the liability shield extends to us, shielding us from a glossy veneer that hides the truth about a company. I’m good with this, and I pray that the Supreme Court realizes it before it ruins the internet for everyone.

Yandere Ransom Imagine
“That's some heavy-duty conjecture.”
Word Count: 2700ish
notes: unhealthy relationships, emotional and physical abuse, financial abuse, yandere
Tumblr media
Imagine being a struggling adult working a full time job plus freelancing gigs just to get by in your one-bedroom apartment where the ceiling always leaks when it rains and you have to perform a complicated maneuver to make sure the door doesn’t jam up on you and you’re constantly worried about your landlord raising the rent.
Maybe a well-meaning friend gets you a gift card to an upscale bookstore because they know you haven’t had a new book on your shelves in years, or maybe you find $20 on the street like a veritable Charlie Bucket but instead of buying a Wonka Bar you head into a this fantastic artisan coffee shop on the rich side of town, a place that everyone always raves about on Instagram, just so you can try an expensive latte with hand-ground beans and flavors you’ve never heard of before--because don’t you deserve a treat, for once?
Whatever it is, wherever it is, Hugh Ransom Drysdale is waiting inside and sees you there.
And oh my God is it obvious that you’re out of place right off the bat. I mean, what the hell is someone like you doing in this part of town?
With your worn out clothes that are worn from necessity and not from being fashionably thrifted and your ratty purse stuffed with papers and candy wrappers that spill out when you dig in for your card or cash and your winter boots that you’ve probably worn 5 years in a row, ripped in the hell and patched with black tape that you hope people don’t notice.
It becomes even more obvious that you’re out of your element when something goes wrong. The gift card isn’t activated. The $20? A fake, probably a movie prop that blew in the wind. Whatever goes wrong, it means that you’re suddenly at the register, impatient people with real money tapping their expensive shoes behind you, unable to pay. You’re left standing there like a deer in headlights, unsure of what to do or say.
Normally he might just roll his eyes and remind himself that people like you ought to stick to your own shops, your own place. But something about the way your eyes go all downcast and you seem to shrink down in embarrassment makes him take pity on you. Like a stray cat in the alley hoping someone will toss it some scraps.
So he strides up and flicks out a card and hands it to the cashier, dropping a friendly greeting to them because he spends like crazy and they probably know him by name at this place, and he’s the one who hands you your coffee or your bag and your hands touch ever so briefly during the exchange.
He leads you away from the register--don’t want to piss off the spoiled debutantes and assistants on lunchtime coffee runs--and you stammer out a thank-you-thank-you and you promise you’ll pay him back as soon as you can and Jesus Christ, isn’t that just adorable? Someone like you, some lost kicked puppy who can’t even afford new boots, promising to pay him back?
He doesn’t care if you pay him back, but he finds that he would like something out of this exchange, so he says that instead of paying him back you can do him the honor of going to lunch with him. His treat.
He insists. And you can’t really say no, can you? You are hungry and he did just pay for your things and it’s the least you can do to oblige his request.
He’s not stupid. He doesn’t take you to some razzle dazzle fancy restaurant where you’ll feel embarrassed and out of place. Instead he takes you to a quiet diner, classy not greasy, where you can have an easy conversation and tell him all about yourself.
It’s funny. Normally he brings up his family name, his grandfather’s books, to women he picks up, to get them impressed and hooked and pliable. Something about you, though. Something about you is making him want to turn this into more than a lunch date and pressure for a quickie in the car to repay him.
So he holds back to see what he can do with you on his own. No quickie in the car, but instead before he drops you off--at a bus station, you insisted--he brushes his hand over yours. Can he get your number? He swears he can feel the heat coming off your cheeks as you fumble for your phone and let him put his number in your contacts.
He waits a day, then asks you out again. Dinner, this time. He asks you if you know any good places and you recommend a dive bar that you can go to after work (because 1) schedule and 2) cheap) and shit, he’s all for it. There will be time in the future to impress you with restaurants that have dress codes instead of sticky floors. You sit close on the stools and you buy him a drink (real cute, real real cute) and just for you he keeps the baggie in his pocket there all night instead of heading to the bathroom to liven things up.
Your relationship develops with an almost shocking speed. He knows just how to reel you in. I mean--look at you. Working your ass off at some dead end job, living in an apartment so shitty it takes you almost a month before you reluctantly agree to let him see it.
He can understand, though. Because you’re not that stupid and you know he’s wealthy, even before he casually brings up his family in a “it’s no big deal but I don’t want to keep things from you because we’re getting serious” sort of way.
You pretend to be casual about it all, but he can tell you’re suddenly wondering: why the hell would someone from this wealthy family want anything to do with me?
It’s a question Ransom asks himself a lot. He asks himself this when he’s snorting coke off another woman’s stomach (hey, you’re dating, but he’s got needs and they aren’t met with hand-holding) or when he’s eating another greasy burger at a shitty bar because you refuse to let him buy you a nice dress to wear so he can take you out somewhere fancy.
You’re not the type of person he normally goes for, not at all. He has strings of girlfriends and flings, but they all tend to fit that same cookie cutter mold: wealthy do-nothings with their parent’s credit card who want someone else to spoil them for a while, without caring who it is or what they’re like. They’re easy pickings that Ransom can burn through and then toss aside when he’s bored of them. Some of them cry but a few days later he’ll see them on someone else’s arm, it’s the circle of life.
With you, though, there’s more. You don’t expect him to pay for dates or anything at all (even when he wants to spoil you a bit) and you have actual conversations and you seem to actually give a shit about what he says and does. You argue with him, too, when he wants you to do something (just let him take you shopping, for Christ’s sake!) or he asks you to move in (again) and you say no (again). I mean, you really fight with him, spitting words and all.
And unlike his previous girlfriends, you don’t come crawling back a few hours later because you want to buy a new purse with his shiny credit card. Instead, you make him apologize first. Fuck, that’s hot. It’s also something he tucks away in the back of his mind to work on later--but he’ll be damned if he doesn’t admit that he sometimes has the overwhelming urge to push you against the wall and fuck you for the first time right after a good argument.
But he knows that would destroy your image of him entirely, so he holds back. He’s good at crafting a version of himself that appeals to others when he has to, and you’re maybe the first person that’s been worth all the effort he’s put into you so far.
But you need a push, a push that makes it so you can’t go running back to your shithole apartment when you fight or when you question whether or no you two have a future. You do, you’re just too naive--too inexperienced with money, to say it charitably--to realize it.
So he tips off the fire marshal about your apartment building’s shoddy fire escapes and well, damn, in the process of the investigation all the little corners that your landlord has cut come crashing down. At least they were discovered before it was the building that came crashing down.
But the evacuation of the building leaves you--and countless others--high and dry. You don’t have any family in the area, and your only half ass-decent friend in the city lives in the same building but her parent’s aren’t going to let a stranger move in.
When you finally realize you have no options and call him, voice tentative and embarrassed, he knows just what to say to get you to pack your meager belongings and wait for him to pick you up. He’s no-nonsense about it.
He knows how to avoid deflating your pride, how to keep you from deciding you’d rather stay in a shelter than take his charity. You’ll pay him back, he says, you’ll figure out a rental plan or whatever. He even teases--he’s not the best landlord, but he won’t take 2 weeks to change the toilet if you submit a maintenance request. It makes you crack a smile and bam, just like that, he knows he’s gotten in.
That night, after takeout and wine and a Netflix movie neither of you paid attention to, you fuck for the first time on his expensive sheets on his expensive bed and afterwards, when you’re both sweating and cuddling and reveling in the afterglow, he makes a note to buy you some new lingerie.
It’s all very homey, for a while. He could do without you leaving for work and working your ass off, with your freelance shit, sometimes staying on the computer until two, three in the morning. But it’s nice to have you close all the time, available to him whenever (almost whenever) he wants. He brings home takeout and you snuggle on the couch and he finally even convinces you to go out with him to a nice restaurant wearing something he’s bought and hot damn, do you look good, head-to-toe in the clothing he’s chosen for you. Especially, later that night, in private, in the lingerie.
Does he love you? The word hasn’t left his lips yet, hasn’t crossed yours either, but he can feel it underneath the surface. No. It’s more than love. He wants you. He wants to have you. And not just for the afternoon or the summer, but forever.
He spins daydreams about how he’ll clean you up nice and introduce you to the family. Probably to Harlan, first, because everyone knows that’s whose opinion really matters. Harlan will like you--he would probably like you without any primping or fixing, actually, which is more than he could say for his parents or anyone else in the family. Then once you’re in, you’re in--you’ll come to family dinners and vacation retreats where people always end up in ridiculous arguments, and you two can exchange snarky comments about the family on the ride home.
And yeah, sure. You fight sometimes.
He throws out your old clothes and buys you a wardrobe befitting someone he wants to integrate into his family. You fight about that.
He makes comments about you how you should quit your job or at least try to get a degree--he’ll pay, as long as you agree to go to a university within driving distance--to work somewhere more respectable than a chain restaurant. You fight about that.
He gets pissed when you want to meet some “friends” at a bar without him, because why would you need to go anywhere without your loving boyfriend in tow, unless you were trying to flirt with someone else? You definitely fight about that.
And, okay. Maybe he’s hypocritical.
Maybe he goes out late at night when you’re stuck doing your “freelancing work” and he’s in a rotten mood about it, and he ends up on the floor of a swanky club with drugs in his system and lipstick on his neck. He doesn’t come home until the next morning and you’re pissed and red-eyed and arguing with him, accusing him even, but you have no shitty apartment to stomp back to anymore so you’re stuck.
Until you’re not stuck. Until he casually snoops through your phone and sees that you’re looking up cheap-ass apartments and hey, you’ve already booked a few interviews already. The thought of you slipping through his fingers makes him more sober than he’s been in a while. He’s got to do something. Not to himself, of course. But to you. To keep you with him.
It’s easy enough to get you fired. He’s a ‘Thrombey’ after all, and some nice crisp bills anonymously sent to the right hands is all it takes for you to come home one night, cheap mascara (he notes: buy you some better quality makeup soon) running down your cheeks. Your freelancing isn’t nearly enough to get you into an apartment.
He assumes that you’ll give up on the idea after losing your job, but you’re nothing if not stubborn (one of the reasons why he likes you) so you start the job hunt the next morning, fresh mascara in place.
Damn, do you keep him busy. Anonymous calls. Cash in nice white envelopes. Rejection after rejection. You get so sad, so depressed. You don’t even want to go out to restaurants, so he orders in and you snuggle in his lap while he feeds you bites of orange chicken and rubs your back. It almost brings you two closer again, starts to mend the rifts that began when you refused to get over his occasional late night out.
But then you break the uneasy mending by snooping and woah, you don’t like what you find on his phone.
You fight.
Damn, do you fight. This time there’s no pretense of potential forgiveness as you begin wildly throwing your clothes into your ratty duffel bag from the back of the closet, telling him to fuck off fuck off fuck off, telling him he’s crazy, telling him that what he’s doing is fucking illegal and--
It’s the shock that hurts you the most.
The shock you feel when he grips your wrist hard and pushes back on your shoulder when you try to yank away, pushing you against the wall with a hard thud. It’s like having a rug pulled out from underneath your feet when you feel a slight ache in your back, on your shoulders, when you tell him to Let go, goddamn it and he only pushes back harder to keep you in place. It’s Ransom. It’s Ransom who’s doing this.
His voice feels unrecognizably cold when he leans in and hisses in your ear.
“You think you can just leave me? After all I’ve done for you? Let me tell you something--you won’t get another job within one hundred miles of here, within one thousand miles of here, unless I say you can. So just put your clothes back in the closet, chill the fuck out, and stop being such an ungrateful bitch.”
It’s the shock that makes you numbly hang your clothes back up in the closet, fold them again with shaking hands, and sit on the bed until the dam breaks and you cry.
And oh fuck, he’s sorry. Really. He wraps his arm around your shoulders and then he’s the one who’s crying and confessing that he didn’t want you leave him because yeah, he knows he’s a fuck up, he knows he’s got a drug problem, but he loves you.
It’s the first time he’s ever said it out loud. He loves you. “I love you,” he says, again and again, half-laughing.  And he tells you you’re the only person he’s ever dated that made him want to be a better person but he doesn’t know how.
You don’t know what to say because maybe you do love him--but he hurt you and got you fired, but the tears on his face seem so genuine and he tells you he’ll never, ever hurt you like that again and fuck, he says, if you want to go get a job he’ll drive you to the interview right now just-let-him-blow-his-nose-first-please.
You make him sit down and then you’re the one apologizing and the rest of the afternoon is a shaky truce between you two as you drink hot chocolate and order in takeout and watch a movie together.
It’s not until you’re both under the sheets, satisfied and then showered, that you think about what he did to you in a clearer light. The thoughts weigh heavy on your mind, pulling and tugging. You think you might love him. He hurt you. He took care of you when no one else would. He cheated on you.
I love you, he tells you, when your mind is starting to tug itself into sleep.
He hit you. He said he was sorry.
He hit you.

Inside “The Pact”
Hello! For those of you that followed along with The Pact, I received a few questions and requests to get an inside look. I’ll link the post here that explains a bit more about what this is gonna be about.
Tumblr media
We’re gonna break this down into sections: first will be answering your questions about The Pact & the characters. Then I’ll show you guys a little about my notes & decision making process (which is very obscure because I just tend to keep a hypothetical tab open in my brain most of the time lol) as well as some pictures of my ideas!!
Thanks for requesting such a fun thing to do now that this series is over. It’s been fun to look back!
Q. What song did the boys dedicate to y/n?
A. “Her” || This is a sad song, but I felt like it fit so well with how the boys had to hide a part of themselves (their feelings) away for the sake of the pact!
--
Q. Did the boys get mad/how did the boys react to Jungkook’s kiss?
A. Jungkook was a little shocked, and felt extremely guilty on the drive back home. He wasn’t sure if he could stand to tell his hyungs, but he also knew he couldn’t lie to them. Naturally, the second he walked in the house and everyone saw his face, they knew. It was just quiet, everybody was a little hesitant to say anything/bring it up because they were all upset. Only Jimin has heard all of the details of JK’s kiss, whereas the others are simply aware that he kissed her and that’s that.
Namjoon was the most upset, although he didn’t say anything. He just sat there on the couch and did the jaw-clenching thing he always does. Yoongi just tried to change the subject and ask about other aspects of the date. Taehyung was actually pretty pissed, especially because he’d been so good about refraining from kissing you even when you’d asked for it. Hobi had a chat with him later that night and calmed him down. Jin wasn’t angry so much as he was worried that he missed his shot & couldn’t stop replaying his date in his head.
--
Q. Who fell for y/n last?
A. Namjoon. He’d had a little crush, and that’s why he was willing to go along with the pact. But it hit a point less than a year ago when he fell hard and fast. (you called him in the middle of the night when he was on tour and he realized that your sleepy voice is possibly the most beautiful thing he’s ever heard) The boys noticed and as a result teased him endlessly about it, because he doesn’t quite know how to navigate his feelings.
--
Q. Who did the boys bet on? (We already know that Jimin bet on Yoongi and won lol)
A. Namjoon bet on JK, Tae bet on Hobi, Hobi bet on JK, Jin bet on JK, and Yoongi bet on Jin, and JK bet on Namjoon (because we all know JK would pick Namjoon lol)
--
Q. Didn’t y/n ever date other guys? How did the boys react?
A. hahaha ok I actually would have such a fun time writing this Yes, she dated around a bit. For the first year of the pact, she had an on again, off again bf. It wasn’t very serious, and she always made that clear to the boys. They still hated the dude. After they broke up, she only went on a few dates here and there. Didn’t really seriously date. (except for that one time she went on vacation and had a fling, but everyone has decided to forget that) They just smiled and supported her, although Tae was always very clear that he didn’t like any of the guys she dated.
--
Q. In Namjoon’s date, who was the 1950′s author mentioned?
A. Agatha Christie, the queen.
--
Q. How did y/n meet Jimin? (he was the one that introduced her to the rest of the group)
A. She was a PR intern for Lee Hyun. Jimin and Lee Hyun are close, and they crossed paths fairly often until Jimin decided to invite her to hang out.
--
Q. What is y/n studying in school?
A. Public Relations (which will honestly come in handy with her new relationship lol)
--
Q. Where was Jin in the last chapter when y/n came to the studio?
A. Agh how could you ask me this and bring back all that pain?! Jin was at his brother’s restaurant for some much needed R&R. He ended up staying the night with him, not wanting to go home just yet and have to face his decision.
--
Q. Who would you personally choose to end up with and why?
A. KIM SEOKJIN. Date #5 was basically for me lol. Like, unapologetically wrote that for myself. Not just because he’s my bias, but because I personally felt like I could picture myself chilling on that couch watching Dateline with him. And it was beautiful. 🤧 Also, while Jin can be loud and goofy, he’s an introvert. I’m an extravert with introverted tendencies, so I just feel like his date would have been the most comfortable for me.

CREATING THE PACT - AN INSIDE LOOK AT MY NOTES
First thing’s first, I have an on-going page in my notes on my phone which is FILLED with ideas & half-formed thoughts. Before I began writing The Pact (or even Spooked, for that matter), this happened:
Tumblr media
So you can see that I had no idea what I was doing lol, but I thought that it would be cool. Mainly I wanted an excuse to write OT7 and display all the members in a sweet light. Also, we see that not all of these actually made it into the series. (Tae w/ the family)
BUT THEN, “SPOOKED” HAPPENED, AND A GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY POPPED UP
ngl, I cracked up when I looked back at my notes and saw this.
Tumblr media
“Sweet Gloria what am I doing to myself” 😂😂 this was when I was pushing “Lost & Found” out and planning for Taehyung’s series (which is why so much is blocked out on my notes, because it’s riddled with spoilers lol) so I literally had no idea why I was jumping into another project as I was already super busy. That’s why I scheduled it for just Saturday’s! (and also why I sometimes posted super late at night lol)
As you can see, Seokjinnie’s date was literally always on my mind. From the very beginning. Which is odd, considering the fact that he didn’t end up being endgame. wow it’s like he’s my bias or something
Occasionally I’d take breaks from hw and work on getting to know how the boys were with y/n. Quotes and poetry serve as a great source of inspiration, and I assigned a quote to each member. (notice the little stars by Jin, Yoongi’s and JK’s names lol, they were my top three as I’m sure you’ve noticed by now)
Tumblr media
There were a couple of things that I didn’t think of adding until I was reading through your theories and got an idea of what you needed to push the series in the right decision. i.e. bringing Gina back to explain that she closed the door in Spooked.
I have a whiteboard in my room that I use to map out what I need to do that week for whatever series I’m working on (as well as jot down ideas for new series, which I why this photo doesn’t show the whole board haha)
So here’s a peek at my thought process for writing about how the pact was formed. Sorry if you can’t read it haha
Tumblr media
NOW, the last few questions you guys had:
Q. Did you ever change your mind while writing the pact?
A. Yes! I actually originally intended for Hobi to have written the note. It fit very well with how angry he was at first and how worried he was during the date. But by the time I'd gotten to Jin’s date I kinda knew that he wouldn’t be that petty but Jin would haha
I also planned on Yoongi kissing y/n on their date. It was supposed to be on a rooftop somewhere, which we know didn’t happen. In fact, I didn’t really intend for their date to be so disastrous until I was coming closer to having to write it. I think I was a mess, so the date was a mess lol
I had no idea what I was doing for Tae’s date until I wrote it, all I knew was that there had to be a museum. The rest I just made up as I wrote and hoped that it made sense. (also, for some reason I hated the museum portion of the date. Idk why, but it just felt so stark to me. still don’t like it lol)
Q. When did you know how it was going to end?
A. That’s a....difficult question lol. Honestly, I thought of just doing an audio recording and uploading it because it I didn’t really know how to put it into words, but then I realized that most people probably wouldn’t wanna listen to that lol. So here we are.
I had the ending scene in mind before The Pact even became a thing. I knew I had a series that I wanted to end with baking cookies. (weird, I know.) It didn’t exactly go how I planned, but I remember having the thought while writing Spooked (when I thought I was just writing a one shot) that it would be nice for y/n to be with Yoongi. I just instantly felt like they had a connection, when he was the first one she went toward. From then on out, I always kinda kept Yoongi in the background.
I had a crisis about halfway through (right before Jin’s date) when there were a bunch of people rooting for Tae, because he hadn’t even been on my radar. But then Jin’s date went much better than I thought it was going to/received better, so I think that got me back on track.
But from the beginning, Yoongi was #1. (I wrote this in the back of my Career’s notebook lol) when I was trying to figure out for myself who wrote the pact.
Tumblr media
So yeah! There you have it! Just an FYI, I had to physically restrain myself from throwing caution to the wind and making Jin endgame. Especially when so many of you were on board. :( However, the survey helped because Yoongi was the majority of votes (closely followed by Jin & JK) and that showed me that we were still on the right track!
Ngl, my brain stopped working around Wednesday of last week, so writing the finale took FOREVER because nothing would compute. But I’m so happy you guys enjoyed it and reached out to me about it! This really is like a part-time job most days, and I really felt like this series paid off.
Hopefully I covered everything! To end, here's the most satisfying part of every project for me:
Tumblr media
Thanks guys!

Doctors Orders - Morgan Rielly part 2
A/N: no one really asked for a part 2 but I love Morgan and wrote on anyways :)
Words: 2985
warnings: a couple swear words
Sunday Nov 17, 2020
Morgan and you have been texting constantly since the date, he had asked you to go out again tonight and of course you agreed right away. There was something about Morgan that drew you to him. Although you couldn’t pin exactly what it is yet, you didn’t care that Morgan was Jake's teammate although you probably should. Jake was a great brother but he was overprotective. Being his only sister he wanted the best for you, so anyone you brought home was never good enough for you, or well him. You add the fact that Jake would often get his teammates from the Kings to intimate dates as well, it wasn’t fun. You are well aware that you should probably tell Morgan that he plays with your older brother, you can’t help but feel it’s too early and would scare him away.
You were brought out of your thoughts by a knock on your door. You go open it and see Morgan standing there smiling holding flowers. Lily's to be exact, your favourite kind of flowers. You step aside and Morgan walks in.
“Hey, you look beautiful.” Morgan says as he gives you a quick hug and he kisses your cheek.
“Thank you, you look quite handsome.” you say.
He wasn’t dressed up by any means, just a nice pair of jeans and a white button down but it’s Morgan and he’ll look good in anything he wears. He hands you the flowers and you can’t but blush.
“These are for you.” he says.
“Thanks, let me put them in water.” you say before you go to the kitchen and get a vase. Morgan followed you in and suddenly you’re thankful you don’t have any pictures of you and Jake or your family in your living room. You filled the vase with water before you put the flowers in.
“I hope you like lily's.” he says laughing awkwardly “my mom said most girls do.”
“I do, they’re actually my favourite flowers.” You say smiling and you see him relax.
“Should we get going?” he asks and you nod.
The two of you walk towards your door and you get your purse. You leave the apartment and walk to the elevator. The ride down and the walk to the car was quite but you didn’t mind. When you got to his car your eyes widen as you see the car of your dream in front of you. He opens the door to his BMW and you get in before he shuts the door, he goes around the car to get in the driver seat. When he gets in he pulls away and starts to drive.
“Can I know where were going?” you ask laughing.
“Nope, it’s a surprise,” he says glancing over to you quickly before he looks back to the road “my teammate Jake recommended it though.”
Great! So Jake knows Morgan is going on a date, and he knows you're going on one because he asked you to babysit so he could take Country out. Sometimes it’s a good thing Jake isn’t the smartest person in the world.
“How was work today?” Morgan asks.
“Oh it was good, nothing crazy.” You say shrugging.
“Nothing crazy?” He asks laughing.
“Yeah, I just had a few labs and charts to go over. 6-6 isn’t the best shift but I’m used to them.” You say shrugging.
“Wait, 6pm to 6am?” He asks and you nod.
“Yeah, I was on overnights last week, I have tonight and tomorrow off before a week of 6am to 6pm. So I do 6 days on 2 off 6 days.” You explain as you pull up to the restaurant.
“Man I couldn’t imagine that.” Morgan says as he parks the car and turns it off.
“But you can risk your body every night?” You asks as you unbuckle and Morgan opens his door. He doesn’t answer you before he shuts his door. He comes over to your side and opens the door for you extending his hand.
“Yeah.” He says shrugging and smiling softly as you take his hand. He helps you out do the car and shuts the door.
He let’s go of your hand and puts it on your lower back as the two of you walk towards the restaurant. As you get closer you see that you’re at Sotto Voce, you can’t help but smile because this was the restaurant Jake and Country took your family to when they told everyone Country was pregnant with Luna.
“I’m assuming you know this place?” Morgan asks looking to you before he opens the door and you walk inside.
“Yeah, my brother took my family here when he told us his wife was pregnant.” You explain as you get to the hostess. She looks at the two of you and smiles.
“Hello do the two of you have reservations?” She asks and you look at Morgan.
“Yeah, two under Morgan.” He says and she nods before she grabs menus and you follow her to a table.
Morgan was quick to pull your chair out for you before you sit and he goes to sit across from you. He thanks the hostess before he looks at the menu.
“So tell me Y/N, are you a white or red wine kind of girl?” He asks smiling at you over the menu.
“I like beer more if I’m being honest but a good white is always welcomed.” You say smiling as the waiter comes over to the table.
“My name is Eli and I’ll be your waiter for the night, can I start you guys off with something to drink?” He asks and Morgan smiles.
“Can we get a bottle of white to share?” He asks and Eli nods before he walks away.
There wasn’t much conversation as the two of you figure out what to eat. But when Eli returns with a bottle of wine and the two of you place your orders Morgan picks up his drink.
“Would it be too cheesy to cheers?” He asks sending you a small smirk causing you to pick up your glass.
“Only a little.” You say laughing.
“In that case, cheers to a fun night.” He says and the two of you cheers your glasses before guy smile and take a sip.
“So what made you want to become a doctor?” Morgan asks as he sets his drink down as you do the same.
“I always loved kids and wanted to be able to help them. I thought about being a kindergarten teacher but I got into science so my brother suggested I go be a pediatrician.” You explain and Morgan looks at you like in a way you can’t explain. Almost as if he’s holding onto every word.
“You mention a brother a lot is there only one?” He asks.
“Yeah, it’s just two of us.” You say and he nods.
“What’s he like?” Morgan asks and you start to get scared. How close are Morgan and Jake?
“He’s great, he's 5 years older than me so he is very protective. But he missed my teenage years so even now he’s trying to make up for it.” You say.
“Why did he miss him?” He asks. Yeah Y/N why did he miss?
“Oh. He moved away when I was like 11.” You say.
You can see Morgan about to question you more on it and you quickly cut him off.
“What about you? Are you an only child?” You ask and he shakes his head as he drinks more.
“I have a brother, Connor.” He says putting his drink down.
“What’s he like?” You ask.
“He’s awesome, he's probably the smartest guy I know. He’s always been super supportive and is always there when I need to rant.” He says smiling.
“Is he older?” You ask and he nods.
“By 2 years so he’s 28.” Morgan says as your food is brought to the table.
The two of you ate well talking about your families. You quickly learn that Morgan loves his family. And I mean he loves him, the way he talks about Connor and his writing or his mom and the amazing work she did as a cancer researcher, who now owns her own company to the way he talked about his dad. It was just filled with so much love that you instantly wanted to meet them. You told him about your family. Mainly your parents because you didn’t want to give away that your brother plays with him. When he asked what Jake did you simply said he travels and Morgan left it at that clearly sensing you don’t want to talk about your brother.
You had told him about how you grew up in Woodstock and what it was like in the GTA. He has told you all about growing up in North Van. He had told you about how he left home to go play hockey in Saskatchewan because being an NHL player was all he ever wanted to do. You told him about how once you had your mind on being a doctor you focused on studying.
When the waiter brought the bill over Morgan paid and the two of you left the restaurant. He had opened your door for you and you sat down before your phone goes off.
From Leah: I’m not home tonight ;) have fun with Morgan
To Leah: get that wink out of here asshole
You shut your phone off as Morgan gets in the car and starts it up.
“Is it actually 10:00?” He asks laughing and you shrug.
“I guess so.” You say laughing.
“I don’t know if you have plans tomorrow or not but do you wanna go get ice cream?” He asks and you nod.
“Yeah i’m off tomorrow but don't you guys fly out tomorrow?” You ask and he looks at you smiling.
“Yeah but not till like 10am.” He says before he pulls out of the parking lot.
The drive to McDonald’s was quite only filled with the radio but it was nice. As soon as you got to McDonald's Morgan orders us ice cream sundaes before he pays. As soon as get them, Morgan drives us to a park and stops the car. The shuts the car off and hands you the ice cream. The two of you eat the ice cream in silence but once you’re finished he looks at you
“Follow me.” Morgan says getting out of the car.
You quickly follow him and he leads you to a random tree. He sits down and you sit beside him. He puts an arm around you and you lean into him. You spend the next two hours just talking and enjoying each other's company. Sure your topics of conversation weren’t anything crazy, it just turned into random questions. What’s your favourite type of cookie, what’s your favourite pizza topping, the best movie you’ve ever seen but honestly it didn’t matter. You could spend all night just listening to Morgan. You don’t know exactly what time it was but you were staring at Morgan as he talked about why dogs are better than cats. You weren’t exactly paying attention you were just watching him and admiring him.
“You’re not listening to me are you?” He asks with a goofy smile on his face and you shake your head.
“No I zoned out.” You say and he laughs which makes you laugh. As soon as he stopped laughing you let your eyes fall to his lips before you look back to his eyes.
He seemed to get what you hinting at because he started to lean in. You did the same and right as you were about to kiss his phone went off causing you to pull away. He let out a sigh before he pulled it out and gave you an apologetic look.
“Hey Kerf.” He says as he answers it. So Alex was calling him.
“Wait hold up, you’re where? And I need to pick you guys up? Can’t you ask Muz or Micthy?” He asks clearly annoyed as you send him a soft smile “fine fine okay. I’ll be there as soon as I can.”
He hangs up and gives you a sorry smile.
“I’m really sorry, but Tyson’s is apparently piss drunk and almost crying.” He says and you can’t help but laugh.
“Let me guess. Team dad?” You ask.
He nods before he gets up and puts his hands out. He helps you up but he doesn’t let go of your hand as you walked to the car. He opened the door and you got in. He shut the door before he got in the drivers side.
“I can drop you off at your apartment if you’d like first? I mean you can come if you’d like but you don’t have to come with me to-” He say before you cut him off.
“It’s fine. I don’t mind.” You say and he smiles before his phone dings and he opens maps turns out the club they were at was near the park you’re at so it was a quick drive.
As soon as you pull up you can see Tyson sitting down and Alex standing beside him. Alex spots Morgan car the second it pulls up and tries to get Tyson to send up. It doesn’t work which makes you laugh but Morgan just rolls his eyes and puts down his window.
“Tyson Barrie get your ass in my car now.” Morgan says the tone of his voice suggested there was no other option.
Tyson huffs before he puts his arms up and Alex helps him up. Alex opens the door and gets Tyson in before he buckles him up and shuts the door. He goes and gets in the other side before he looks at you.
“Oh shit. Tonight was your date wasn’t it?” Alex asks and Morgan just sends him a look through the mirror.
“Yes it was.” he says though gritted teeth. “Y/N this is Tyson Barrie and Alexander Kerfoot. Kerf, bears this is-”
“Guys what am I gonna do?” Tyson asks interrupting Morgan making you giggle as Morgan looks at you shaking his head.
“What’s your problem?” Morgan asks as he sets off towards your apartment building.
“People will laugh at me.” Tyson says sounds like hes about to cry.
“Kerf? What the fuck?” Morgan asks.
“He’s upset he doesn’t have a goal yet and he’s worried people will laugh or call him a failure if he doesn’t score before the game agents the Avs.” Alexander explains.
“Not people. What will Gabe think?” Tyson says as we get to a red light and Morgan turns around.
“you got me to interrupt my date to come pick you up because you got too drunk all over being sad what Gabe will think?” He asks and you can tell hes annoyed.
“Duh!” Tyson says as if it’s the most obvious thing in the world.
“It’s green Morgan.” You tell him softly before he rolls his eyes and turns back to the road.
“Is this the same Y/N you were telling us about the other day? The doctor?” Tyson asks and you can see Alex hit him “what the fuck Kerf?”
Tyson then hit Alex back which lead them to slapping each other a bunch. You can see Morgan is losing his patience and is about to freak out. So, you took over.
“BOYS!” You yell out and two of them stop “I’m assuming I’m the same Y/N because yes I am a doctor.”
“Can you fix a broken heart?” Tyson asks which makes you laugh.
“For the love of god Tyson.” Morgan mumbles under his breath.
“Don’t worry Tyson, you’ll score before the Avs game. I believe in you.” You say and his face lights up like when you tell a family they can go home from the hospital.
The rest of the ride was silent until you pull up to your apartment. Morgan parks the car and looks at Alex.
“I’ll be right back.” He says grabbing his phone and Alex nods.
“Nice meeting you two.” You say waving before you open your door.
“I’m gonna score a goal for you!” Tyson says before Alex rolls his eyes clearly growing annoyed with his friend.
“I think he meant nice meeting you too.” Alex says.
You get out of the car and meet Morgan at the doors of your building. He holds the door and walks you to the elevator. The ride up was silent, in fact so was the walk to your door. As soon as you’re at your door however Morgan speaks.
“I’m sorry about that. I really didn’t know that would happen.” He says and you laugh.
“It’s fine Morgan.” You explain.
“Listen, I’m gone for like a week, but would you wanna go out again when I’m back?” He asks and you can’t help but smile.
“It’s a date.” You say kissing his cheek before he pulls you into a hug.
As soon as you pull away you find yourselves leaning in again but once again his phone goes off. He picks it up and rolls his eyes.
“What?” He asks “tell him to put his shirt back on and get back in the car! I’ll be down in a second!”
He hangs up and sends you a sorry smile.
“You bring your children home Morgan.” You say and he laughs before he gives you another hug “good luck this week.”
“Thank you.” He says once you pull away and you unlock your door. You go to head in as Morgan is walking away.
“Text me when you’re home?” You call out but it comes out more like a question than a statement.
“I will. Get some sleep!” Morgan says before you close your door and smile to yourself.
It hasn't even been a week and this boy is slowly creeping into your heart.

Fated to love 2
Tumblr media
PAIRING : Park Junhee X OC X Kim Wooseok
GENRE : Fluff, Angst
WORD COUNT : 2.9k
PARTS :  I+P  1  2
AUTHOR’S NOTE : From now on italics mean that its real but from a past moment, so memories are in italics, regular font means present.
Seungyoun joined Wooseok at the cafe he invited him to and wooseok scowled at the first words that left his friend’s mouth.
“So what did you fucked up now?”
“I did no such thing.” Wooseok gritted out as he passed Seungyoun’s usual order towards him - Latte and a pastry while he sipped on his ice americano. He vaguely noticed how similar Seungyoun and Bora’s tastes are but then the both of them used to love going to different restaurants and cafes together so.
“You only specifically call me for breakfast when you do something. And Bora has returned from swiss 2 weeks ago. Thats too long for you to not fuck up.” Seungyoun  concluded as he happily smiled at his visibly pissed friend.
Wooseok sighed and told Seugnyoun everything - from the party to the dinner he crashed. Seungyoun stared at him for far too long he was comfortable with so he fidgeted with his phone.
“I don't know if you intentionally do this but why do you act like an asshole to her when you love her?”
Wooseok sputtered a loose explanation about how it was not his fault but Seungyoun knew it was just his jealousy acting up - which knowing Wooseok, he would never accept. Seungoyun also pointedly noted how he didn't deny the part that he was in love with her and that was interesting.
“Apologise to her Wooseok. You were too much.” Seungyoun finally said and Wooseok nodded - already planning on how to apologise to her.
~
“I am so sorry i had to call you both in so late! I wanted to meet for lunch but I had an important meeting, but thank you for making time to meet me at this time!” Junhee saw as she trailed off when she looked up and only saw him.
“Where is Donghun?” she asked and he nodded outside.
“He had an important call, he’ll be in soon.”  he said and she nodded and got back up from the crouching position she was in before with her back towards him which led to her rambling as she had done.
There was an awkward silence in the office as she fumbled with the papers and he kept staring at her.
“Did Donghun say anything after you left?” she asked finally and he nodded in a negative.
“Why?”
“He's too smart to not figure out that we have known each other longer than meeting yesterday for the first time.” she remarked and Junhee shrugged.
“He figured you were the girl I met at switzerland. He wanted to know if I was uncomfortable working with you and wanted to cancel the collaboration.” he said and saw as her eyes widened, she really wanted this to happen.
“Oh..do you want to? Cancel it?” she asked softly and he wanted to go close to her, comfort her and promise her to even bring the stars if she asked for, this collaboration was nothing.
“No. we’ll move forward with it.”
She nodded and the room fell in silence again.
He saw her hesitate and sigh. “Why..did he think you would be uncomfortable with working with me?” she asked and he mentally debated if he should tell how he was when he got back. Finally he decided to come clean, she should know that he's here, and now in front of her.
“When i got back.. It was hard to concentrate on work - i  could only think of you. A girl i met in switzerland whom i knew nothing about more than that she lived in seoul and was returning a week after me. So the sunday you were supposed to come back, a day before i checked all the flights coming to seoul from swiss, even checked the ones who’ll have pit stops. There were 7 in total and I was ready to spend the whole day at the airport just to see you again. He stopped me.
He said something which made me listen to him and not come.”
He saw that she was staring at him wide-eyed, hanging on his every word.
“He said i left my contact number to her and she still hasn't texted me for the whole week. That i was just a vacation fling for her and meant nothing more then that and that i need to stop being dumb.” he finished.
He saw her flinch as he was talking but that was exactly what Donghun had told him. And she needed to know it too.
“I'm sorry  I was late, should we get started?” Donghun asked as he came in and the gloomy mood of the room slightly lifted as Bora gave him a strained smile. If Donghun noticed it, he didn't comment on it.
“I ordered us Sandwiches. I hope you both will like it.'' She said as she passed both of them Subway bags and Junhee took his, only to look inside and find a chocochip cookie which was missing from Donghun’s as he saw him emptying the content on the table.
He looked across at her to see she was avoiding his eyes.
“It's 3 am.” she said incredulously staring at him.
“You don't know the fun of eating Subway sandwiches at 3 am.” as he wrapped a scarf around her and pulled her outside her room. Junhee pulled a whiney Bora to the subway 5 minutes away from her Hotel and went to order 2 chicken sandwiches and ice tea.
“Cookie?” he asked her and she said no.
He came back with one chocochip cookie though.
“I love these. I sometimes feel like Subway chocochip cookies are the best ever in the world.” he said as he took a big bite of it and moaned in pleasure. She slapped his arm in between her laughs.
Junhee took a  bite of his cookie. She remembered it seemed. Now was it a good sign actually or not, he wondered.
~
Bora was tired and only craving her bed by the time she reached home. So she was not expecting any guest - and especially not Kim Wooseok. So when she saw him, a sigh involuntarily slipped through her mouth.
“What are you doing here?” she asked.
“I brought dinner.” he said as he showed her the bag he was holding. It was the restaurant she loved but it only took advance bookings and she was sure this was an impromptu visit so it meant he paid whoever had the chance to bring her food. She vaguely wondered how much he paid the person.
“How long have you been here?” she asked as she realised it was almost midnight - way past dinner time.
“A while.” he muttered and she sighed. It meant hours.
“Why didn't you wait inside? The code is the same as we set when we bought this.” she muttered as she walked past him to open the door and wave him inside.
“I didn't want to intrude.” he answered and she scoffed, turning around to stare at him.
“Why are you actually here Wooseok?” she asked and he looked away, clearly avoiding her eyes. She saw as his ear reddened and she raised an eyebrow.
“I wanted to apologise.. For the party and yesterday dinner too.” he muttered while looking down at the floor and she ran a hand through her hair. Her face softened.
“I have had dinner already.” she settled on as he looked up at her and nodded, slightly looking like a kicked puppy. “I’ll get going then. Goodnight.” he told her as he turned to leave.
“Wooseok..” she called his name and he turned around. He looked young but tired, like how they used to be when they used to have their finals and would spend nights living on energy drinks and coffees - no matter how cold their relationship had turned now and how much she hated his guts now- he was still her best friend that she has known since kindergarten.
“Stay.. i’ll sit with you while you eat. And you can sleep in the guest room.”
~
Bora woke up to the smell of fresh eggs and toast and coffee and if you ask her, that probably is what heavens smell like to her. She freshened up and then dragged herself to her kitchen to see Wooseok cooking her breakfast.
“Did you knew you had nothing in your refrigerator except for alcohol?” he asked her and she shrugged.
“I'm pretty sure there was coffee somewhere here.” she said vaguely pointing to her kitchen and he shook his head at her.
“I had to go out for grocery shopping to make you breakfast.” he said as he served her and she thanked him.
“Take whatever food is left to your house though, it’ll go bad here.” she said as Woosoek joined her in eating.
“Shouldn't you learn how to cook about now?” he asked her and she shrugged.
“I usually grab breakfast either at the office or the coffee shop in front of it. Or at the main house if i'm summoned. Plus there’s no one around to teach me to cook.'' She spoke the last part lowly and Wooseok felt his heart clench.
“You can always ask my mom, she would love to teach you.”
As soon as the words slipped his mouth, her head shot up to stare at him as if he grew out another head.
“She hates me Wooseok.” she said with such a painfully straight face that it made even him laugh.
Breakfast ended and she helped him with the dishes.
“I’ll get going now. I have to go home and get dressed too.” he said and she nodded as she walked him to the door.
“Bora..” he trailed off and she smiled at him and for a second he felt like they were back in highschool where she would happily follow him around, laughing with him and making him feel like he was at the top of the world.
“Seungyoun said everyone was meeting for meat and drinks today. You wanna join?”
She looked to be thinking, probably thinking of her schedule.
“Sure. i'm in. i haven't seen him and the guys in a long while too!” she agreed and he smiled. He was already imagining telling a cocky Seungyoun that not only he apologised but she also agreed for the night out - he couldn't wait to see the look on his best friend's face.
“And Wooseok..” her voice brought him out of his thoughts. “Next time you wanna grab dinner, tell me. If not a day before then at least an hour before. I'll clear my schedule for you.” she said with a smile and his heart skipped a beat. This was the Bora he fell in love with all those years ago.
~
She entered the Barbeque place and the smell hanging in the air reminded her of Highschool and University - when times were better she thought. Once inside, she made her way to the table with the loudest voices and found her friends- Wooseok and Seungwoo were the only silent and smiling ones at the table - the other three were the creators of the noise - Hangyul, Yohan and Seungyoun who all looked halfway drunk. She was only half an hour late from the decided time though.
She took a seat between Seungwoo and Wooseok as Seungyoun passed her a glass of beer.
“I literally just got here.”
“And you have to compensate for the half hour you’re late for.” Seungyoun cheekily said as he passed her a shot of Soju which she happily took. Seungwoo passed her a plate of snacks and she thanked him softly.
An hour passed with drinks and talks and taunts to Bora for not meeting the others more. But it was all good and Wooseok was slightly tipsy and Seungyoun was trying to sober him surprisingly. It was just that Seungyoun had a good alcohol tolerance and Wooseok did not. And drunk Wooseok is clingy as the hand wrapped around her waist and head leaning on her shoulder was reminding her. It was vaguely reminding her of how close they used to be before and suddenly the alcohol in her system felt too much and the restaurant felt suffocating.
She suddenly stood up, Wooseok almost falling on the seat as he was leaning on her and she asked Seungwoo to move, mumbling about needing fresh air. She really needed some.
She was standing outside as the cold air blew and saw the time. A little over 11 pm, none of them will even consider going home before 1 and she sighed. She tugged out her pack of cigarettes and a lighter as she lit one. She wasn't an avid smoker - only smoking occasionally when stressed and the friendly dinner with old friends was leading into dangerous territories - from highschool memories to her and Wooseok almost dating to their sudden engagement. It was frustrating since she knew the reason behind all his attention on her now - he wanted to marry her.
“Fancy seeing you here.” she heard someone speak behind her and turned around to see a smiling Junhee coming to stand beside her. She wanted to scowl at his smiling face but also apologise for never texting him again. She hadn't been able to sleep much last night because she kept thinking about what Junhee had said.
“I didn't know you smoke.” he commented as she took a drag of it and let the smoke out.
“I don't usually. But a tough day makes me want to take one.” she said as she took another drag and Junhee turned around to leave.
“Wait, where are you going?” she asked as he looked behind at her, face unreadable.
“I can't stand the smoke.” he said as he turned and started walking towards the alleyway beside the restaurant. She looked at the cigarette in her hand. Cursing lowly, she threw it on the ground and stomped it with her heels as she walked after him.
“Wait for me!”
~
After making sure Wooseok was sober enough to not fall, Seungyoun got up to follow behind Bora. He had felt her getting uncomfortable by minute as they kept talking about her and Wooseok and he wanted to make sure she was fine. And also maybe not to be so disgusted by the fact that she was engaged to Wooseok now.
He walked out to see a man standing beside her and paused a little behind, making sure to hide himself but also hear what they were talking about.
“I didn't know you smoke.” the man commented and Seungyoun was surprised that he actually knew her.
“I don't usually. But a tough day makes me want to take one.” he felt guilty when she said that. Was she that uncomfortable with the idea of marrying Wooseok? Isn't she the same person who would blush whenever Wooseok said anything directly to her and literally told him in the morning that she would clear any schedule for him?
“Wait, where are you going?” he heard say and looked up to see the man turning to walk towards the side alleyway.
“I can't stand the smoke.” he said simply and Seungyoun sighed. It brought back memories of the many times anyone had ever told her to not smoke.
It started during University. A huge fight between Wooseok and her that no one ever found the reason for and she went out alone at night. Seungyoun had found himself opening the door of his apartment to a drunk Bora at 4 in the morning smelling strongly of alcohol and smoke.
Since then, she had smoked on multiple occasions followed by someone telling her not to and her retoriting with something.
“You should not smoke.” Seungwoo had told her and she had just shrugged in response, choosing to not smoke in his presence out of respect but not listening.
“The smoke bothers me.” Wooseok had complained once. With a cigarette between her lips, she walked to the door of the apartment and opened it for him saying, “feel free to leave.”
“Smoking kills you eventually.” Aerin had said.
“So does life at one point.” Bora had retorted.
“Can you stop smoking?” he had followed after Aerin who was snuggled in his arms.
“Shut up.” was the crude response he got as she laughed and he joined, taking the cigarette from her hand to take a drag himself.
So maybe he was not the best person but she also has never listened. So when Seungyoun saw her throwing the cigarette down and running after the guy, something dropped in his stomach.
He went back in and joined the others.
“Where is she?” Wooseok asked and Seungyoun shrugged.
“Did not see her. Maybe she went in the side alley to smoke.” he said, not willing to put doubts in the head of a drunk Wooseok. But sober Wooseok has to know. She came about 20 minutes after Seungyoun had come back and the smile and the slight flush of her cheeks were bothering him a bit too much. So he decided he’ll give him some sort of warning at least.
That's Why Wooseok woke up the next day with a killer headache and a text awaiting on his phone from Seungyoun saying, ‘You should have a serious talk with Bora about the engagement.’
