Mun’s Ask: RP Edition | status: open
@yuanre asked:
10. Are there any fandom(s) you avoid roleplaying in?  18. What’s the one thing you want to try the most on your blog? 22. If you could recommend at least five blogs to your followers, who would they be?
Tumblr media
10. None specifically that I can think of. There are several fandoms I’ve heard nightmare stories about, but they weren’t fandoms I would have ever interacted with to begin with, so it doesn’t matter much.
18. I’m not sure to what this pertains, but harking back to the last ask I really do want to sprinkle some OCs in this bish. The C-Drama fandom does OCs so damn well it just so inspiring — I really need to step up my OC game! I’d also like to try having actual character profiles for once -stares at unfinished character bio pages-
22. Oh this is really hard. There are so many. Please, no one take offense if your name does not wind up on here. I admire all of my followers so much, so I’m just gonna pick five people (in no particular order) that I interact with a lot/have a lot of headcanons around:
@battleguqin — Nyx was the first person to follow me in the C-Drama fandom over on my LWJ blog ( @ofwindsweptpines ) and I absolutely adore her. She has an excellent grasp on her Sizhui and I have so much fun writing and headcanoning with her. 10/10 would recommend, absolute sweetheart.
@aeipathic — Rhys is a gem. A complete treasure. Their writing is top notch, and I can’t say enough about their characterization. They have such a range and flexibility with their muses, and flows between them with just admirable fluency. They are also a really stellar person OOC and I enjoy chatting with them so much. Great friend and wonderful RP partner. I can’t wait to torture them with angst my love forever. You should too!
@prismaris / @necrrot / @ziyoue — Burd’s OC game is real. God I am constantly in awe of his creativity and range. And the ART!! My god the art is incredible. Burd inspires me so much in so many ways, and I just can’t recommend him enough.
@evcryopeneye — Sammie my Scottish sweetheart~ Sammie takes some seriously underrated characters and just applies so much love and tender care to them, and really makes them shine!! I consider myself lucky every day to have her as a friend and an RP partner, and she’s amazing for humoring a very unpopular ship for my sake (MWAH!) Be sure to go give her love if you don’t already!
@moonlitimmortal / @nobilitylost / @asunas-embers — this is a little bit cheating, but many of the people I listed have been around long enough to follow one another, so I’m gonna list some people who are new to my blog/dash that some of my old followers might not know/have interacted with yet. - Pandi’s OC Sun Anle is a beautiful MDZS-based character that mixes some fantasy aspects with more cultivational aspects, and would fit in so easily with so many different verses. Mun is a real sweetheart that so kindly gave my best girl smooches without question. Big plus.  - KRex has been in my DMs since I met them screaming with me about fandom things and I’ve decided I’m keeping them. Beautiful writer and highly suggestible to new C-Drama suggestions -greedy raccoon hands- - Emily’s Asuna is a Mortal Kombat OC with a very impressively crafted background. I know next to nothing about MK lore, but they make me want to read more into it (which is saying a lot for an OC!) She’s working on C-Drama verses for Asuna and from what I’ve seen so far they’re excellent and well worth exploring. I can’t wait to explore more!
:Bonus: If y’all don’t follow the mun who sent this ask ( @yuanre / @xingzuoyu ) , do it right now. Ni is an absolute gem and an incredible writer. Their love for Boya (and all of their muses) knows no bounds, and they are just one of the sweetest and most generous people I’ve met. They also make beautiful edits! Holy crap I’ve been spoiled with some amazing aesthetics.

Wangxian and Their Babies
Okay, so, here’s to hoping I’m not the only one with the headcanon that, after Lan Wangji strongarms his uncle into accepting tolerating begrudgingly acknowledging Wei Wuxian as an in-law, the Lan sect just gains like 50 tiny disciples in the first year of their marriage, just because they both compulsively adopt children left and right.
Wei Wuxian knows full well what it’s like to live on the street as a small child, not knowing when, or even if, you’ll get your next meal. Of course he’s going to take in every child he finds in miserably circumstances, every orphan, every street rat, every little darling in an abusive household! Especially now that he has the resources (Lan Wangji’s bottomless money pouch, aka Hermione’s Beaded Handbag part 2) to actually help them. And we’ve seen him interact with children many times in both the novel and the series! He loves them and the feeling is, more often than not, mutual!
Lan Wangji is someone who lost his mother and never really had his father to begin with. I point blank refuse to believe that he wouldn’t do everything in his power to parent the shit out of any child shoved in his path. Just look at Sizhui! He is the sweetest young man you could ever hope to meet! An absolute angel boy! And a lot of that is because of his fathers! (I’d like to take a moment to point out that I’m not saying either Lan Wangji, or Wei Wuxian are infallible, both of them have some seriously deep-set character flaws that are never really addressed in any version of the source material, but they make damn good, somewhat embarrassing parents). Back to Lan Wangji: he’s already a (kinda scary) parental figure to most of the Lan disciples and now that he has Wei Wuxian back and the pining and heartbreak is over (kinda, the ending wasn’t exactly happy), I’m willing to bet he has more than enough quiet affection to share. He already has an army of rabbits. Of course he will collect ALL THE CHILDREN.
Just imagine them coming back from every night hunt/trip-to-totally-not-get-Wei-Ying-alchohol-and-spicy-food/random outing with at least one child in tow.
Imagine Lan Sizhui and Lan Jingyi being the best big brothers ever. With Jing Ling and Ouyan Zizhen’s help, of course.
Imagine Lan Quiren being furious, before slowly warming to the little rascals and finally becoming the most over-protective, grumpy grandpa ever.
Imagine one or two of the more adventurous children exploring Cloud Recesses and accidentally barging in on Lan Xichen’s seclusion, only to be offered tea.
Imagine Lan Xichen eventually starting to come out regularly to teach the little ones and their presence doing something to heal his broken heart. (All I want in life is for this wonderful man to be happy again. He is the very best of them and deserves everything good in life.)
Imagine several of the kiddies idealizing Jiang Cheng and following him around whenever he goes near Cloud Recesses, while he tries to figure out if he’s angry or pleased about it.
Imagine Wen Ning being the default babysitter.
Imagine the Gusu Lan Sect indirectly honouring Xiao Xingchen’s memory by taking in new disciples, regardless of their heritage and ability.
Imagine a vast army of kids trailing after the mighty Hanguang-Jun and the fearsome Yiling Patriarch, totally messing with their badass image, not that either of them care.
Imagine each kid having their own favourite rabbit and helping to feed them.
Imagine Lan Wangji using his position as Chief Cultivator to build widely accessible schools, orphanages, etc...
Imagine him bringing kids to the whatever meeting he’s going to and occasionally asking them for their opinion, because they’re usually more rational than the sect leaders.
Imagine the next generation of Lan disciples being the biggest group of ragtag misfits to ever live.
Imagine more female cultivators from the Lan Sect and for them to finally stop separating them! I mean, what the actual fuck?!
Imagine Lan Wangji, Wei Wuxian, Lan Xichen, Jiang Cheng, and whoever else these little sweethearts imprint on, being taken care of in their old age and passing down their own special brand of wisdom.
Imagine other sects following their example.
Imagine abolishing the moronic classist system this fandom’s world is based on.
Imagine the continued shenanigans and found family sweetness!
Yeah, anyway... I want more parenting all round, more cute babies and for Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji to have a Bruce Wayne sized adoption problem!

Here’s a character roll call for The Untamed, since some of you have been kind enough to follow me down this rabbit hole. I’m not going to go into great detail here bc I’m just helping match faces to names, and also bc spoilers. Also only showing people who appear in the first four episodes here, bc if not, this post would go on forever. I’ll make additional posts later.
Tumblr media
Wei Wuxian aka Wei Ying aka The Yingling Patriarch. Usually in black with a long red ribbon in his hair. In the flashbacks scenes for the earlier episodes, you’ll often see him with a sword, but he’s usually using a flute. Our main character. He died but...got better (well, his soul got summoned into the body of another man who sacrificed himself for the sake of revenge). He also has a donkey in the current timeline named Little Apple. He was adopted into the Jiang family at a young age, but you’ll see more of that in the show.
Tumblr media
Lan Wangji aka Lan Zhan aka Hánguāng-jūn aka One of the Twin Jades of Lan. Our other main lead. Usually in white, though sometimes has light blue outer robes. His weapons of choice are a sword, a zither, a silencing spell, and an appearance of general indifference towards mostly everyone else. He’s very powerful, very loyal, and very dedicated.
Tumblr media
Jiang Cheng aka Wanyin aka Sandu Shengshou. The brother to Yanli and Wei Ying, he is the eventual leader of the Jiang Sect. Once he becomes leader he’s usually dressed in purple, but in the flashback episodes he wears a variety of colors. He uses a sword and a purple lightning whip that’s contained in a ring. Of the three siblings, he’s the one most often yelling bc reasons.
Tumblr media
Lan Sizhui, easy to tell from all the other Lan disciples because he’s an absolute sweetheart. We meet him for like 2 episodes and then he’s gone for 30, but this is when we first meet him.
Tumblr media
Lan Jingyi, easy to tell from the other disciples bc he has no filter and will 100% say exactly what he’s thinking. How he’s a Lan, still, is anyone’s guess.
Tumblr media
Jin Ling aka Jin Rulan. Everyone’s nephew. Yanli and the Peacock’s son. Uses a sword and a bow and arrow. Has a dog named Fairy. An arrogant snot, but, like, reasons.
Tumblr media
Wen Ning aka The Ghost General. Don’t let the name fool you. He’s an actual sweetheart. Could kill you with a paperclip, but a sweetheart.
Tumblr media
Jiang Yanli, Jiang Cheng and Wei Ying’s sister. The sweetest, kindest, most pure person on this show. Also a great cook. Do not insult her brothers in front of her, bc she will verbally rip you to shreds and make you, rightfully, feel ashamed of yourself. The actual glue keeping the peace in her family.
Tumblr media
Mianmian
Sadly this is the only gif I could find of her via the search function, which is a crime bc she has an absolute mic drop of a moment later on in the series that I legit applauded, but when you first meet her, she’s one of the two ladies at the Inn, and is smiling much more. (Her tears are 100% warranted here bc they’re all Going Through Some Shit.)
Tumblr media
Jin Zixuan. Aka the Peacock. So if this was a teenage romance, he’d be the arrogant rich boy from the private school in the wealthy town like 5 miles over. He’s main weapon is a sword. His main weapon against himself is his own stupidity.
Tumblr media
Lan Xichen aka Lan Huan aka One of the Twin Jades of Lan aka one of the Three Zuns aka Zewu-Jun.Lan Zhan’s big brother, the leader of the Gusu Lan Sect, usually in blue, with a jaw that could cut glass. Actually very kind and too trusting for his own good. He usually wields a sword and a flute.
Tumblr media
Lan Quiren aka Old Man Lan. Lan Zhan and Lan Xichen’s uncle, the Elder of the family. Loves his rules. Does not even tolerate Wei Wuxian. Not a man who believes in the grey area of things.
Wen Ruohan--I don’t have a gif for him, but he’s the dude on the big scary throne in the realm known as Nevernight. One could say he’s overly ambitious. He’s the leader of the Wen Sect.
Tumblr media
Wen Qing. A healer. A badass. A caring sister. I love her. So much. She’s part of the Wen Clan, but she’s not about their mission. She’s just trying to protect her people and her brother. But she is not here for any of your bullshit.
Tumblr media
Xue Yang. This motherfucker. That’s the best way to describe him. Almost always dressed in black and has a very distinct trademark smirk. When you meet him, he’s working for the Wen Sect, helping with their whole world domination bit. If he’s around, things have been, or will be, bloody.
Tumblr media
Nie Huaisang. His trademark is his fan and his general apparent inability to do...anything compared to the others around him. The younger brother of the leader of the Nie Sect.
Tumblr media
Meng Yao aka Jin Guangyao aka Liangfang-zun aka one of the Three Zuns. He’s one of the many bastards of the leader of the Jin Sect, Jin Guangshan. When we meet him he’s a servant for the Nie Sect. His trademark are those damn dimples. And okay, fine, he has other skills too, but you will mostly remember him, at first, by those dimples.
Wen Chao--also lacking a gif here, but he’s the arrogant asshole in red who sets the dude on fire. He remains a violent, arrogant asshole.
