Next is Kakashi - who's one of my favorites! - though I think this would would be more of a slow burn bittersweet story until his soulmate can slap some sense into him. After losing everyone he loves in the span of what? A decade? Or something like that? It can really mess with a person's love map and because of that I think Kakashi would really fight against the idea, at least for a time. I see him, honestly, looking forward to finding his as a child and really excited and happy about it until he finds his dad. That's where he'd fight against and even scorn the idea of having one and not just behind closed doors but publicly as well. Which of course would put him right against Obito's happiness for it. Then I think he'd really close himself off to the idea and him actually having one period after the war where he loses Obito and Rin with Minato and Kushina not too long after. If he did find his soulmate or they found him really, because he's not looking for them, it would be a hard road for them to get together and him accept he won't lose them too.

Lee. *brushes off hands* I rest my case! No, but, really, Lee would love to have a soulmate. After all the picking - kids can be so cruel! - and scorn because he can't use chakra we all know that even if it was platonic soulmates our youthful ninja would embrace that with open arms. I haven't thought much on him because while I love the theme and symbolism behind his character he's just not a personal favorite. (Cue the trash throwing!) Seriously though, just like Naruto, Lee would actively search for his soulmate and I think this would be a topic you stayed very, very respectful around him on. Soulmates are beautiful people and bring out the best in their partner, they are precious and to cherished deeply. And do not for a second think the boy won't throw fists if his own is being bad mouthed or disrespected in any way. 😤

Neji - where are my Neji stan fam?!?! - for me at least, would be another that would have a hard time accepting that there's someone out there for him. Would he secretly want one? Totally. Would he believe he deserved to have one? I don't think so, at least not until Naruto gives him a what for with his talk-no-justu. Afterwards, I see him starting to open up to the idea but very slowly. I don't think he'd be like Kakashi but he's not a Naruto or Lee either. It would take time to not only accept he has one, but if he finds them, that they'd actually love and care for him. His mate would really have to work and keep at him to break down those very high walls but when they do it'd be magical. They'd be so precious to him but - and this is just me - I see it being his soulmate who'd be the one throwing hands in regards to Neji. Am I right??

Honorable mention: Shikamaru. Here's my other big fav, the lazy genius himself. I had to add him despite this being so long already! I love my beautiful Nara sloth. So yeah, I was totally behind the Nara's Obsession idea. Total soulmate idea written right in!

KAKASHI

Okay, so I was fully prepared to disagree with you when you said Kakashi, but I think you actually explained yourself well! Because you're right, Kakashi does not want a soulmate. He doesn't believe that there's someone for him. Maybe one day there was, but now, he's too damaged to have a meaningful relationship.

And I LOVE the idea of conflict between Kakashi and Obito because Obito can't wait to meet his soulmate, and Kakashi think that's stupid.

I think Kakashi would run from meeting his soulmate, but after the war, if his soulmate was stubborn enough, I think they would slowly become part of his pack, even though he resists them at every turn lol.

LEE

Lee can't wait to meet his soulmate! You're so right!

His desire is so genuine and pure. He goes completely red when he meets his soulmate, and he talks so fast, basically falling over himself to make a good impression. It's very cute! <3

NEJI

I'm going to gently disagree with you here.

Neji is super interesting when it comes to soulmates, because of his beliefs in destiny. He probably does believe in soulmates, and he's fully expecting to marry his soulmate. He just doesn't expect to be that happy with the situation. He thinks his destiny is to serve to main family with an advantageous match.

To actually get a soulmate that's someone good for him? It knocks him off balance. He's suspicious for a while, I reckon.

But I don't think he's anti-soulmate at any point, mainly resigned.

But yes, you're so right that he gets a soulmate that protects him. Neji's soulmate is always ready to fight for his honour haha!

Saying that I hate Nolan's Batman in a room full of man just to feel something

But here's a random list of my rating of different Batman that nobody asked because I love giving my opinion

The Dark Knight Trilogy: Solid Batman, hate the Bruce Wayne. Brucie, the public persona, is supposed to be a bimbo that cares for the city, not a rude arrogant prick that sinks the Wayne name. It completely butchered his relationship with Harvey too for... *checks notes* Rachel? Nahhh 2/10, a male fantasy movie but it gets one point for showing his training years and another for some cool one-liners

The Batman (2022) – I love the movie and that's top Batman to me, especially the last scene. Batman is a symbol of hope, compassion. I had the same problem as the Nolan's one for the larger portion of the movie: instead of using the Wayne Inc. to do good, he doesn't care about his parent's heirloom and drowns into being Batman. HOWEVER, it's pretty clear how raw and wounded he still is, and after the whole Riddler deal, I can see him turning this around and doing good as Bruce Wayne too. My fav live action movie but it gets a 8.5/10 on characterization

The Long Halloween, Comic – classic Batman, I like his personality and how he lets Batman and Bruce work together to do better to the city. A inspiration for the 2022 movie too. 9/10

The Long Halloween, Tomorrowverse – butchered the storyline and I shit you not Bruce says "I never thought I would need to do detective work to be Batman". Made him all muscle and no brain. Cool art but it doesn't even get a point for it, couldn't bring myself to watch more than 20 minutes of the part two. I kinda liked how he acts with Selina though. Yet, keeps it at -10/0

The Arkham Games – I watched the Arkham Knight gameplay like it was a movie and then watched scenes from other games on yt. That's the ideal way Batman operates to me. Thing dreams are made of. Also balanced on his public facade. 9/10

Batman The Animated Series, Timmverse – can't ask for better. Always offering rehabilitation to villains? Showing empathy for freeze and ivy and Harley!? and his friendship with Harvey? 10/10

Justice League: Unlimited – The timmverse gets him right and I love to notice how he progressed as a character. Love how they write Bruce's friendship with Clark and true partnership with other Leaguers. Also love his relationship with Diana, wonderbat forever. 10/10

Batman, Tv animation (2004) – The story is tailored to be palatable to kids so they changed some elements. It's fun to watch tho, 7/10

Batman Vs. Superman – guilt-ridden, PTSD older Batman? Pretty solid on the premise and I could see any Batman acting that way with enough groundwork. I just don't like the whole marking criminal and sending them to prison to die. Bruce wouldn't, doesn't matter how grief stricken he is. 8.8/10

Gotham (Tv Series) – Eh. Young chaotic Bruce. The focus of the series is on the villains and I didn't even pay too much attention to him tbh. I love a disaster teenager Bruce tho, 7.6/10

Young Justice – Gets points for bonding with Dick earlier in the series and for later showing him operating with a larger Batfam. Also accurate on the way Batman operates. He would leave the League because he's not about being part of a society or the status that come with it. The League had a purpose, which was facilitating saving people. Than he couldn't save people with it? He left. 9/10

Superhero Girls – exploring him being Kardashian-level celebrity?? Hilarious. But I don't like the other implications the show makes about him as Batman. 3/10

The Killing Joke, animated movie – something about how he acts throws me off. Older Batman but done badly. I think they don't work enough to drive him to murder. Should have left him kill Joker when Jason died. 2/10

Ninja Batman – The writers had LSD to write it. Insane. Hilarious. Didn't like that he was "oooh I don't have tech what will I do? :(" Batman is a survivalist so be for real. 4/10

Year Zero (comic) – hate that buzz cut. He wouldn't. Otherwise solid. Also another inspo to 2022 movie. 6/10

Year One (comic) – classic backstory, can't ask for anything else on personality matter. The fact he hallucinated a bat while he was concussed and thus made himself Batman because he thought it was rad? Peak characterization. 10/10

Harleen (comic) – He's not the focus of the story but I do love when they show how much sheer power the Wayne name carries. He has a steady hand over Gotham, a background influence constant and unwavering. Also that dialogue on the end where he's blaming himself for everything that happened even though it's not his fault? Yeah, it tracks. 9/10

Turning Points (comic) – the way he acts... He's such a theater kid. Also accurate on how Robin happened and I love he doesn't try to fight Gordon but humbly accepts Jim is going to hunt him if something happens to Robin. 9/10

There's a black and white one shot comic that Dan Mora made that I can't rember the name but?? Bruce adopting Jason, Dick and Tim in one go?? Can't go wrong for me. I am also not immune to how Mr. Mora draws Bruce. 100/10

The goal of this year is to watch more timmverse and read more comics with the batkids

Reko Yabusame - Daring but Kind Guardian. A lot thinks of her as attractive and dangerous. You can often hear her humming some melody if you are close enough. She especially has a soft spot for younger participants. Even if her appearance is how it is, even if she looks unapproachable, she will most likely help you if you ask for help. In her design I wanted to incorporate the two ways she can die (and to conect her even more with Alice, as their wounds and attributes looks similar) and her wound on hand she got during one of the Attractions. I think she looks cool.

Nao Egokoro - You is my fav from those three designs. Her "corset" and "bracelets" are symbols of her death. As a Guardian, she is as artistic and chaotic as she is originally. Maybe they don't really have any paints and real canvases, but that won't stop her. She uses all the resources she can find and let her creativeness take control. But... what is that man that she often paints?

Alice Yabusame - I had the most problems with his design because of his clothing. And worship to strips. But I think he came out decent. As a Guardian, he is one of those who aren't trusted for a longer time, as everyone avoids him. May be it his appearance or his personality. He is someone that you have to get used to. He will help... sometimes. Usually in a tsundere way lol

assigning plants to twst character by meaning pt 2 octavinelle, scarabia, and pomefiore

azul ashengrotto -> okay i assign him the bumblebee orchid and, like riddle, aloe. the bumblebee orchid means hard work or persistence and aloe means grief. hard work, because azul worked hard to create his signature spell, and make a name for himself as the new man he became upon entering nrc. and grief, because grief comes in all forms, including the grief he feels after undergoing bullying and making it to nrc as a whole new person. (and then there was his overblot.) jade leech -> fungi buddy. he was so hard to assign actually. i assign him the yellow iris, which means passion. he's very passionate about his love for mushrooms (which can be a little weird ig). i also assign him the red clover, which, started in the victorian era, means success. he works at the mostro lounge and is the vice to azul, so success seems right to place with him. floyd leech -> floyd! i assign him pink hyacinths, because they mean joy and playfulness. he's very playful when he's in a good mood, and although his mood swings are sudden, and he can also be scary when he's happy. still, i think this flower was well picked for him. kalim al-asim -> i'm assigning him white lilies. he's not even a villain, he stands out in nrc and i love that about him. white lilies symbolize innocence and humility. he's from a wealthy family, but i've never seen him exaggerate that wealth or importance he holds with ill intentions. he's so sweet and doesn't see himself as better than anyone despite the power money can give. jamil viper -> fuck this guy. so, his plant right. yellow hyacinth and black rose. yellow hyacinth because it means jealousy. and black rose because it means hatred. i'm not explaining myself because you should know why. vil schoenheit -> vil <3 bites him. anyways, the dahlia. dahlias in general mean elegance, strength, and dignity. he's dedicated to becoming the fairest of all, and despite his insecurities, he's displayed his strength in not only a physical sense but a mental sense too. (like when he followed idia into the underworld to save him.) rook hunt -> rook, rook, rook. my fav creepo, weirdo, stalker. hat man (/aff). i assign him purple heather. purple heathers symbolize a lot, like admiration and love, for his dedication to pursuing beauty. it also means strength and respect, because he's never looked down on anyone despite his own strength. epel felmier -> my son, who's a pain in the ass (/aff). amaryllis. amaryllis means determination, they are also a symbol of strength. he's determined to prove to everyone he's strong (and masculine). amaryllis also mean beauty; for vil's influence on epel, hoping to build epel up and teach him (while also trying to get rid of the more toxic version of epel's proof in his strength.)

This is a deeper and more detailed version of the 20 questions for AO3 fanfic writers. Thanks to @casualsavant for the tag.

1) How do you keep getting ideas for your ship / fandom? Supercorp brainrot… I see a picture or meme or video, I watch a movie or read a synopsis, I hear a song and it reminds me of them. They are ever present in my mind. I cannot escape (nor do I want to) and therefore, you cannot escape :chaos laugh:

2) Which authors inspire you in your fandom, and why are they so freakishly good? There are sooo many super talented people in the Supercorp fandom. I’m constantly impressed and overwhelmed with the volume of amazing content. There are the fandom favs: @lostariels, @jazzfordshire, @searidings, @lynnearlington, @coffeeshib, @mycatismyeditor, @lgbtimelords and @melui-the-bookworm, and there are personal favs: @snowydragonscave, @fazedlight, @casualsavant, @luthordamnvers, @gveret-fic, @briefunknowntrash, @cantdrawshaw, @karalovesallthegirls, @vox-ex, Veritas33 (AO3), @writershapeholeonthedoor… Sooo much talent. I just want to read all the time!

3) Aside from the characters of your main ship, who are the characters you love to write? I love all the side characters. I think the relationships in Supergirl are what make Kara and Lena so great and relatable. After Kara and Lena, I think I’m most comfortable writing Alex, but I enjoy writing almost everyone. My WHBL series is an ensemble-cast style story that is primarily Lena pov, but has other povs throughout.

4) Are there pairings or tropes you know for sure you’d never write about? Which ones? I’m not a fan of writing Kara or Lena outside of Supercorp unless in reference to their past relationships. I’m not sure if I would rule any specific trope out completely

5) What is your writing process and why is it cursed? Sav’s answer for this one is pretty relatable lol but uh… I typically put notes in my phone if I don’t have paper/pen handy. I use Excel to plot out timelines and chapters. I like to use color to show what I still need to write versus what’s done or what’s uncertain. I use a simple Word doc and typically write in story order, though if I write a scene I like, but don’t like it’s placement, I’ll cut it out and save it separately for potentially using later or in a different fic. I struggle with writer’s block, anxiety, guilty, sooo much uncertainty. It’s stressful and sometimes overwhelming… But I’m still here, so I suppose getting the story out into the world is all worth it in the end.

6) What is your favorite part of your writing process? I enjoy the research, having something completed and ready to post (if not the anxiety of actually posting), and I enjoy reading the comments

7) What’s the weirdest thing you’ve had to research for a fic? Um, probably sniper rifle stuff

8) Is there a particular writing rule you struggle with (grammar, spelling, tense, reality in general)? I catch myself switching tense all the time. I try to catch it all in editing, but don’t always succeed.

9) What was your hardest scene to write so far and why? Pretty much all of Evermore because it’s Kara’s dreamscape with mixed references to Wizard of Oz and Edgar Allen Poe’s The Raven combined with The Adjudicator’s last scene. I think it actually came out well, but it’s really different and specific, so it’s gotten low interaction.

10) Have your characters ever done something you didn’t expect, changing your plot completely? 100%

11) If you could converse with any of the characters, who would it be and why? I would be in awe to meet Kara or Lena. They’re iconic and these huge symbols for so many feelings and thoughts I’ve tried to convey, but they’re also very relatable characters who’ve suffered through much. I hope I do them justice with my writing. I know others do it so much better... I would also love to meet Melissa or Katie. I hope they know how many lives they've impacted for the better.

12) What are some of the tropes or themes that you find yourself returning to in your writing? Originally, I wrote a lot of mental health themes and hurt/comfort, currently it’s fluff and smut or rom-com. I guess it depends a lot on what emotional headspace I’m in and capable of conveying. Almost always there’s some angst, but I gotta have a happy ending. Whether I’m reading or writing. A happy ending always.

13) What’s your most important resource as a writer? Talking with other writers! I’ve been so thankful to meet so many great ones this year <3

14) Can you share some of your strategies for editing and revising your work? I do many rereads, before and after I post. I will go back and reread before I add more to a story as well, esp if it’s been a while since I wrote for it. I’ve also gotten someone else to read over fics from time to time.

15) Which is worse: making the summary, picking the tags, or the anxiety when you post your fic? All of that gives me anxiety lol

16) How do you define success for your fanfic - hits? Kudos? Comments? Bookmarks? Or just if you like it? I try really hard not to define “success” when it comes to my writing. You never know what other people are going to like or connect with. First and foremost, I write for me. Secondly, I write for the enjoyment of others. I like to see kudos, but ultimately it’s the comments that are most encouraging. Seeing even just 1 person connect with a story that I wrote… there’s no feeling like that.

17) Do you have a playlist for your favorite character / ship? I don’t, but there are songs or artists I associate with the characters, esp Supercorp- Taylor Swift, Hozier, Lord Huron… Not the question, but there’s a video edit by @talconnect with Running with the Wolves that fits perfectly for Kara. https://twitter.com/TalArtM/status/1658567350046674967 I love it.

18) If fan art was going to be made from your work, which fic would you pick and which fan artist would you like to create it? I recently commissioned a piece for one scene in I Believe in a Thing Called Love and there are a couple of other scenes in that one that I would have done. Really, I would appreciate any scene though. It would be an honor to have someone chose one of my works for something like that and I would be stoked to see any of it.

19) How many WIPs do you currently have? Active WIPs: 4 (What Has Been Lost, Wouldn’t It Be Nice, I Believe in a Thing Called Love, and Tis the Damn Season); Mayhem WIP idea to be started soon. A few others always percolating

20) What’s your advice to new fanfic writers? I had no idea what I was doing or that I even wanted to write when I started. You can’t improve until you try. You can’t learn until you make mistakes. Just try. I’ll keep Sav’s advice as well: Write for yourself. Write what you’d want to see. You’ll get better at it over time.

A RACE TO YOUR HEART | naruto boys | gn!reader| modern au!

Naruto-Masterlist

Characters: madara , tobirama , kakashi , naruto , sasuke , itachi , obito and indra

Plot: the boys are competeting in a race for a date with you (idea from a genshin playlist on yt)

A/n: English is not my first language so please excuse any mistakes , and this is really long so please let me know what you think and if i should edit anything or if you got tips on what i could improve

The cars were aligned waiting for your starting Signal. Naruto brought the idea up and surprisingly they all agreed to it , even indra and tobirama.

The race had only one rule , no jutsu or sharringan everything else was pretty much allowed.

They were talking shit to eachother mostly , tobirama close to jumping out of his car to beat up madara and naruto and sasuke doing their usual arguing . Kakashi and obito exchanged deathglares while indra stayed quiet and focused. (A/n indras personality is slightly changed btw)

You smiled wielding the flag downwards .

First to start was naruto in a modern bright yellow car with Orange Details, then sasuke in a lamboghini aventador with pumped up handling in a shiny black . closely followed by the dark grey sportscar (mclaren mp4 c12 but speed was improved) of tobirama wich had the senju Clan Symbol on its Front.

Next Was kakashi . He took off with a wink at you in his silver Lamborghini aventador with black lightning details across its sides . Next Was the matt Black car of madara with golden fancy decorations of symbols (Paganini huarya) and the red ,decorated with matt Black crows , car of itachi .

Closely followed by the matt Black Paganini zonda r of obito who gave you a oh so selfconfident smile before hitting the gas . And last but not least indra hit the gas on his pure matt white bughatti Vision Gt decorated with purple ink stains and other stuff .

This race was going 3 laps, the Route wasnt exactly easy . Too much Speed could throw one off it . Handling mattered a lot .

The boys were gone fast from your Vision, you hoped (fav character) would win but all of them had enough experience .

After 2 minutes or so 2 cars appeared behind the corner , indras matt white bughatti and madaras car in a close tie of overtaking eachother . Just like tobirama , madara pumped up his car for more speed . But indra had a lot of experience on this road . Behind them naruto and kakashi appeared close behind them sasuke popped up inbetween obito and tobirama . Itachi also showed up and took narutos place with what looked like ease throwing naruto into the place behind him

Indra fell back to last as sasuke rammed into his side giving him a hard time to get back in control

Kakashi and naruto were busy trying to overtake eachother unable to notice obito racing past them , Window down, flipping kakashi off

Tobirama was now struggling with madara trying to get back to first place

Naruto finally overtook kakashi and was now struggling with obito

The males raced past you . shortly after they disappeared behind the corner again leaving you to guess whats going on

~Timeskip to the last lap~

The holder of the first place changed rapidly as the last lap began

Noone wouldve Been able to oversee who was in wich place , it changed too fast .

They raced past you once again behind the curve.

You were exited and worried who might come out first

A Minute or so passed and the first car showed up

The silver Lamborghini of kakashi showed up , a good distance to the 2nd place - indra

The car drove through the finish line , slamming the Breaks as hard as he could and stopping with a drift . You rolled your eyes "such a showoff" you thought but still smiled at him as he left his car while the others came to a stop too

You secretly hoped it was him who eon it and he did it . You could see the grin beneath his mask as he walked up to you "So, when and where dear y/n?" He asked as smooth as the polish on his car

(Others were secretly pouting behind him lmfao)

Madara

You saw the Paganini huarya pulling up , itachi close behind but unable to overthrow madara in time

As soon as he passed the finish line madara slammed onto the Breaks . He waited a bit Till everyone arrived before stepping out . "And who won dear?" He asked his voice filled with pride and already knowing who you were going to say .

You wished from the start that madara would win it and of course he did , how could you ever doubt the god of War and racing ?

"You madara " you answered with a smile seeing the others look pissed off , disappointed in themself or just getting into their car again

"So where would you like our date to be?" He asked , a strong flirtly undertone present.

Naruto

The bright yellow car Was closely followed by sasuke but naruto kept the uchiha succesfully behind him.

After crossing the finish line he basically jumped out of his car and ran to you "So, i got the date with you?!" He asked and you smiled "yay!" He cheered punching the air with one fist

Sasuke

Sasuke drove through the finish line , a good bit of distance to kakashi who was behind him

Sasuke didnt leave his car in a hurry like most of the others did . In fact he flashed you this "proud of himself" smile before leaving it and walking up to you

"So , where and when do you want to go?" He asked that smile still present on his lips . You smiled back at him suggesting (your fav place)

Itachi

The Red car with crows decorating its body , closely followed by indra . Near the finish line indra almost overtook him but itachi crissed the finishline in time

Itachi halted his car close to you , looking over to you and giving you a warming smile . "When are we having the date?" He asked while slamming the car door shut

"How about tomorrow?" You suggested smiling back noticing the grumpy and sad looks of the other boys behind him . "Sure , let me know where and when and I'll pick you up" he replied

Obito

The matt Black zonda easily overtook madara in the curve with a skilled , perfect timed drift. Both uchihas fought over the 1st place before the zonda r crossed the finish linish first

Out came obito , smiling proud of his skill and amused by madaras look

He walked straight up to you "when and where dear?" He asked leaning down to your ear .

You could hear this mans wide grin in his voice . "How about 8pm at (fav. Place) ?" You suggested feeling a blush creep up your face by how close He was

"Sounds sweet . I'll pick you up on point " he grinned and straightened his back again before giving on last glare like "i won , haha" to the other racers

Indra

His skilled hands threw the handwheel around just in time to hit the curve perfectly . Indras handling Was easily better than narutos so he was able to steal the first place from him quiet easily

Crossing the finish line and stopping with a 360° drift near you just proved this guys want to show off

And out came the maybe most skilled driver of them all , indra. He walked up to you amused by the glares He got . "So where would you like to go darling?" He asked with a flirty and proud undertone "how about (fav place)?" You replied .

"Cool with me , is 9pm okay? I need to get the scratches etc fixed first" he asked pointing to where sasuke rammed into his car earlier in the race .

"Yep" you smiled and caught a glance of indras smile before he turned around "perfect , ill pick you up 9pm tomorrow on point"

Tobirama

The mclaren mp4 c12 pulled around the corner with impressive accuracy and speed , closely followed by indra .

Those must've been the most heated last 200m you have ever seen .

Indra fighting for the first place while the senju had trouble keeping indra behind him

In the end tobirama came in first , stopping the car rather softly but in a " cool " way

He didnt go out of his car so you went to check on him and found him rubbing his Temple trying to get rid of the headache

You knocked on his Window getting his attention . He instantly rolled it down and apologised.

"Aw dont apologise tobi you won! " you cheered giving him a warm smile

His lips slightly curved upwards into a smile , a rare sight . "So how about 4pm at (fav place) ?" You suggested

"Sounds good to me , i'll pick you up " he answered catching madaras jealous glare in his rearview mirror

He felt pretty good after that

OFMD S2E8 SPOILERS

Right so. Izzy is my favourite character. And I don’t mind when characters die. I think if it adds to the story and is a good end for their personal story arc then it can be the best choice. But. I didn’t really like how they chose to go about it.

the story gave him a redemption. he protected the crew and suffered and tried to kill himself. he apologised and was apologised to. he changed and grew and found love and family. he had the respect of his friends and crew, the pirate nation as a whole, and even his enemies. He had the chance to give a speech about the purpose of piracy and a chance to say goodbye to Ed.

Logically this should have meant that his death should have been. Idk like not fine but gratifying.

But for some reason it didn’t feel like that? Usually if a character I like dies I’m some mix of “this is devastating, shouting at the screen, how could this happen” and “holy shit my fav guy is getting so much attention and is narratively important and will get so much fix it fic about them”. But with this i was kinda just like “wait what”.

And I think the reasons for this is because

1. I didn’t think the show would go that far. I personally wasn’t expecting any of the main characters to die. Like ACTUALLY die. This is the show that had Lucius miraculously survive being thrown over board, had stede find his marooned crew on a tiny island in the middle of the ocean, Izzy survived his leg being cut off and was walking on a new prosthetic immediately after, Ed had a canon ball bashed on his head and came away with literally no bruises despite apparently dying… For the muppet cartoon rules to suddenly not apply was jarring. But I suppose Izzy has always operated more in the real world than the rest of the cast.

2. the whole episode was rushed. The pacing was very quick and a lot of stuff happened without much time to process. Having a character die in the last episode means we didn’t get to see much of the other characters responding to it. This isn’t the shows fault cause it was originally meant to have 10 eps but still. i don’t feel it was given the appropriate amount of weight that it should have.

3. Izzy didn’t go down fighting in an epic battle. He didn’t die protecting those he cared about. He was hit by an idiots lucky shot and bled out. Izzy is the first main character to die. He was someone that by the end carried the same narrative importance as Stede and Ed. This is just a personal pet peeve but I think his cause of death should have been hard earned.

4. giving an angry miserable character a redemption and letting them find community and happiness only to then. die. is just very sad. Especially coming from a show that before this has been mostly very kind to its characters and audience.

That said, I think a lot of this can be resolved in s3. I think it is very likely that Izzy will remain in spirit in s3, through flashbacks or hallucinations or dreams etc as we have seen utilised for other characters, and we will see more of Stede and Ed and the crews grief (akin to how the goth crew reacted to Ed shooting Izzy at the start of the season). Izzy’s death isn’t meant to be a punishment for either himself or the audience. And I think the main issue was just a lack of time to flesh it out.

tl;dr: The show usually operates on muppet world rules so to have a main character actually die was unexpected. Since the final episode was rushed the appropriate weight could not be given to such a narratively significant characters death. the fact that izzy did not get to go down fighting or protecting others meant it felt kind of random and unnecessary. And having a show that is usually very kind to it’s characters and audience kill off a character right when they’d finally changed and found community kind of feels like a betrayal. BUT having both first mates (buttons and izzy) “leave” is likely symbolically significant to Ed and Stedes development. And the show will likely give due attention to Izzy’s death in s3.

Some more (supposedly unpopular) thoughts on Zuko's image in atla

'cause apparently that's what I think about these days, geez

Okay, so, I'm not a great expert in style or character design or anything obviously, but I have some general theoretical ideas about it.

Here they are, basically:

1) In practice, attempts to "soften severe features" with, well, soft decorations more often than not make potentially attractive people to look just meh;

2) When you can't hide some feature, it makes more sense to incorporate it as an organic part of your overall image (yes, Zuko's scar, I'm talking about you);

3) Good man doesn't necessary have to look all soft and fluffy to remain a good man. If softness of decoration collides with character's constitution, it makes the audience more emotionally confused than anything, even if just subconsciously (e.g., thoughts like "So, he's a good guy now, but I am less attracted to him than before. Does it mean that I find good guys less hot in general?". ... Yes, it was surprisingly specific. And no, I'm not gonna elaborate.)

If we go all back to beginning though, originally, 13-year-old Zuko's elegant facial features allowed him to go in many different directions with his style.

... That's until Ozai made this choice for him permanently, oh dear that's the one way to put it.

Actually, Zuko was kinda lucky with his scar's shape (considering all the possible alternatives): it ended up looking more like a warpaint or a Bowie-like face decoration than a disfigurement it is wow, almost as if it was specifically designed by professionals with this exact tought in mind lol. And while I totally understand the human in-character desire to hide it behind hair, from the stylistic point of view, that's exactly what Zuko shouldn't do. With such a face, all attempts to avoid people's attention will only lead to the opposite effect.

Also, to hide the scar behind some fringes means to hide Zuko's overall striking features as well, which is a freaking crime against aestetics, if you ask me. His face bears so much more potential than that.

So, what I'm trying to say is this: paradoxically, Zuko manages to look good (yes, good) with supposedly "awful" season 1 haircut, and just meh with supposedly "sexy" season 3 haircut. Because "awful" haircut, while pretty eccentric, opens his features, turns the scar from a weakness into a strengh, and hence translates more character in a harmonic way, apparently.

While later-season-3 Zuko doesn't exactly look bad either (which is especially true when animators make a deliberate effort to depict him extra pretty for dramatic scenes lol I'm not blind guys), he mostly looks... unimpressive? Actually, more often than not he reminds me of a shaggy puppy that just made a puddle nearby, lol. Alternatively, he looks like some simple guy next door - kinda cute then a light hits right, but nothing special. And although I can understand the general thought behind this choice (symbolic humbling as well as he-needs-his-hair-to-wear-the-crown-in-universe-logical), "cute simple guy" is exactly what Zuko isn't. And no, bryke, he's not an emo boy either. He can be awkward turtleduck sometimes, yes, but never someone ordinary. His whole appearance was initially created with this idea in mind.

So, "Bad prince with awful haircut" vs "Good prince with sexy haircut" lens helps to keep things in simple boxes, of course, but there's so much more nuance to Zuko's appearance than that, for better or for worse.

So... ponytail rights again, yay! Gods, I need more season 1 au zutara

(Btw... Am I the only person who remembers what Katara canonically kinda defended Zuko's ponytail to Sokka? And they were enemies back then! I mean, you may think she has a bad taste if you like, but the fact remains).

... Lee-the-refugee-before-the-Jasmine-Dragon haircut is my fav though. But just like all the good things in Zuko's life, it couldn't last long, could it? (Ouch, negligent shagginess looks nice on Jet, but it doesn't do many favors for Zuko's high-contrast aristocratic beauty. I kinda hated it, honestly.)

Fav Saw Movies!

my fav Saw movie will always be Saw (2004)! there’s just a charm to it, the grungy-ness, the fleshed out characters, the colour grading is unmatched, the premise of it is simple yet so interesting. I love a contained story! AND I LOVE ADAM !!! and most importantly you can tell through and through that it is a passion project for Leigh Whannell and James Wan. listening to the commentary and behind the scenes gives me so much joy. I love that Cary Elwes signed onto the project because he had so much faith in them and their work and I love just how much fun they had making it despite being on such a tight schedule and budget and it ended up making such an impact in the horror industry! I could go on but I’m gonna stop there lol

my second favourite would have to be either Saw III or Saw VI. for Saw III, I love that it’s kind of like a character study/character building I guess? I love having more of an insight to Amanda, I think she’s such an interesting and complex character, the whole father-daughter dynamic between her and John as well, I find very compelling. the themes about forgiveness, revenge, family, grief as well wheeeew. It’s Leigh’s last Saw film as a writer and even though they keep the franchise going after III, I think he ties everything up very well as his last entry in the franchise.

Saw VI ouuuuuu I really like how it’s a commentary on the American health system, I think it’s done pretty well. the traps allegorically worked better than I think a lot of the other traps in the franchise do. William Easton was also an interesting focus as the main test subject, and I liked watching him going through the various traps and having the whole inner battle about morality and mortality. I also love the scene when Hoffman gets put in the Reverse Bear Trap!!

Fav Saw Traps!

I think it’s harder for me to pick my favourite traps though. like I love the Reverse Bear Trap because it’s so iconic, the concept is not too complex yet it’s so horrifying and ingenious, but I don’t like the aspect of having to kill a defenceless person in order to “win”(many such cases tho). and it irks me in the tape when John says “it’s in the stomach of your DEAD cell mate…. know that I’m not lying” BUT HE IS LYING ‼️

visually I really liked the Angel Trap, it’s just so gnarly yet beautiful. something about the Venus Fly Trap visually I liked a lot too.

The Ice Block Trap in Saw IV, I feel, needed more screen time/care. I feel like the concept of it could’ve made for a very captivating watch - I think someone mentioned it paralleled Saw (2004) in the way that there was the real Jigsaw in the room (Hoffman) which the other victims were unaware of, there was the victim who was acting like a perpetrator (Art Blank) but was actually doing so as part of his own test. and the pathetic whimpering blonde guy (hehe). could’ve also used more of Donnie Wahlberg’s acting skills, I think he’s great!

*edit: omg I forgot about shotgun carousel, thought I wrote about it when talking about Saw VI but I guess not oops. the allegory of the dogpit having to deny 2/3 of all applicants thus sentencing them to death, and William Easton having to do the same with the dogpit. he’s forced to use his algorithm on his own team, the symbolism about the blood on his hands, wheeew.

Daeron obviously, and Thingol

Hehe sending me the unpopular favs...

Alright, ladies and gentlemen of the jury, allow me to put on my defense attorney hat.

Daeron:

Okay #1: THIS FANDOM IS SO MEAN TO HIM.

Look. Listen. Daeron fucked up. He was selfish. He was jealous. He ratted Luthien out because he was pissy. And he almost immediately regrets it. He clearly underestimated what Thingol's response would be and in fact he feels so bad about it he ends up helping Luthien escape. And she forgives him. Even Luthien did not hold his actions against him, but this fandom is determined to paint him as a gross creep which is all the more flooring when Maeglin gets all his far more problematic actions towards Idril handwaved (and in some instances, Idril is criticized for not "giving him a chance"!)

That aside, I love Daeron as a character. He is the greatest musician ever produced by Elvenkind and he dies (presumably) alone and in obscurity. He was chief loremaster of a realm whose record-keeping was almost entirely oral--how much of Doriath's culture and history disappeared with Daeron? He invented an alphabet from scratch and was known to be talented in woodworking and other crafts as well. I would venture to say he is one of few, if not the only, Elves who comes close to Feanor's levels of accomplishment.

He's impulsive, which comes off both in the curse he lays on Doriath (unintentionally?) in the Lay and also in his reveal to Thingol. And yet he also clearly regrets getting Luthien in trouble, almost right away, and he goes with the team that goes looking for her, and self-exiles from Doriath when he fails to find her. Tolkien repeatedly emphasizes in the Lay how "delicate" Daeron is which makes me think he was never much of a fighter, but he went anyway because Luthien was important to him and he wanted to make up for what he had done, even though she had already forgiven him.

Also, personally, I enjoy the notion of him as a bit of a spoiled little shit who will go stirring up a fight and then run behind Thingol the second he might actually be in trouble. Thingol spoils him so much and it's really gone to his head 😔 I also like the notion of Daeron as someone who makes his own instruments and whose style is overall very simple and not flashy.

I think he and Luthien were very close for a long time, even though she was never in love with him and I like to think their reunion after the remaking of the world will be very happy <3

Finally: He has a luxurious mane of microbraids and no one will change my view on this now that I've finally settled on one

Thingol:

As with Daeron: The fandom so often seems determined to take Thingol's actions in the least charitable way possible, which I am convinced comes down to 1) He distrusts the fandom faves, the Feanorians (who I think it stands to remember were openly threatening Doriath well before the Second Kinslaying); and 2) He stands between Beren and Luthien and no one likes a guy who gets in the way of a love story.

Also, some of Thingol's best moments come in Children of Hurin, which not every Silm fan has read. I think Thingol also gets hit with a bit of "tell not show" because Tolkien tells us that Thingol was a wise and beloved king, but most of the close-ups we get of him in Silm are of his mistakes.

That said, I have seen some truly batshit takes on Thingol in my brief couple years in this fandom. As with all characters in this story, he made mistakes--some of which had far more serious consequences than he could had foreseen. But I don't think he was a bad person and I think he did try his best, and clearly even he rethought his response to the Beren debacle, because he comes around on Beren.

"Then Thingol's mood was softened; and Beren sat before his throne upon the left, and Luthien upon the right..." (Of Beren and Luthien)

The symbolism of seating Beren at the left hand of the king cannot be overstated and that he does this in full view of his court is a huge gesture of acceptance both of Beren and of his relationship with Luthien (and through her, his relationship to Thingol).

Then, they all go out hunting Carcharoth, and Huan springs on him:

"...but in the howls of Carcharoth was the hate of Morgoth and malice crueller than teeth of steel; and the rocks were rent by their clamour and fell from on high and choked the falls of Esgalduin. There they fought to the death; but Thingol gave no heed, for he knelt by Beren, seeing that he was sorely hurt."

Huan and Carcharoth are having a death battle here but Thingol's only concern is for Beren's safety.

Which I think illustrates one of the most overlooked characteristics of Thingol's: He learns from his mistakes. He recognizes when he's fucked up and he demonstrably works to do better. He's very dismissive of Beren and Men in general at the start of Beren and Luthien's chapter, but later, he takes Turin in to foster, the only time an Elf lord ever fosters a human, and he treats Turin as his own son. He tries very hard not to repeat his mistakes, and in line with Silm's tragic nature, it spares him nothing.

I'm also deeply attached to monsterfucker Thingol. You will not find an Elf in Middle-earth who is more down to dtf in the most bizarre of situations and ways than Thingol. He will let Melian try almost anything at least once and she loves to experiment. They are the sappiest couple in Middle-earth who will address each other with the most sugary saccharine pet names known to man that make everyone else cringe and they will do it in court. Luthien gets that stan gene from both sides.

Seers Isle

Created by a small Bordeaux company called Nova Box, this visual novel in the form of an interactive comic immerses us in a universe full of magic and mystery where our choices will have a weight concerning the fate of each of the protagonists. The game was able to get me directly into its story as the work of atmosphere is mastered. However, some details could, in my opinion, have been improved for even more satisfaction.

Also, where in many visual novels our action of making dialogue choices leaves us a spectator, here it plays a part in the story itself. I found it very relevant and it reinforces the immersive side of the game. ❤ Talking about immersion, it's done through absolutely magnificent illustrations!!!! Some might regret a lack of animation but I think the rendering is really dynamic and the imagination helps to do the rest easily. ⬇ My fav one <3

❤ I have to mention the sound and musical atmosphere too! The sound effects immerse us in the landscapes and the music is splendid and contributes to the mystical atmosphere of the game. ❤ The characters are endearing and each have their own personality and without easy clichés.

+/- The game has good replayability given the different routes to unlock (4 characters have 2 routes each) but they are very similar in the end and therefore rather repetitive. +/- Automatic saving is a good idea in itself, it prevents you from wanting to go back and erase a choice...but if you want to unlock the 8 routes, it's especially the end choices that are important. As a result, playing the same story 8 times becomes annoying (especially as said earlier, the routes are not that different).

✖ I regret that there is no indication of the text already read (like a text in color or a skip option just for unlocked dialogues). I found by chance that holding down the spacebar made the text go through much faster, but that's not very convenient either. ✖ The route system is not very clear; the game gives us 4 symbols (eye, hand, man, deer) and according to our choices, some symbols light up. The problem is the lack of clarity on which dialogues will influence which symbols, but also which symbols for which characters. For the first run, it doesn't bother too much but when you want to unlock other paths, it's not always obvious. ✖ I think the game deserved a kind of "true end" because after having finished all the routes, there are still a lot of questions around the character of Rowan and I feel a sense of lack. (✖ No romance possible with Freya, I'm extremely frustrated xD)

If Seers Isle is in part a tragedy, I nevertheless come out of it with a smile of having been able to fully experience its story thanks to quality work on its audiovisual atmosphere. I'll be curious to discover other creations of this studio in the future <3

I feel pretty knowlegable about abuse and childcare/certain child psuch things! not very much, but ig uts the thing i could ramble the most abt aside from lego monkie kid and a few toehr fandoms i cant quiiiiteee rembemebr. My fzv fun fact is that threats of physical abuse can and mostly do have the same mental effects as if the person had followed through (ie/ getting told by your dad that hes gonna hit you, after enough time/consistently enough, you will react as though he had hit you all those times)

I dont have any projects going on right now, but i just finished one so ill tell you about that !! This is my dnd character, Bramble Elodia! She was created by a man named Foth Eir Oak Elodia. He has a dream of creating a city full of just robots and mschinery and living artifical people, such as bramble who is based off of porcelain bjd's!! :3 my fav tbing abt her is her cute, friendly nature despite her tall (she is 7'2) stature and sense of looming. I also ADORE her camera apeture eye, she has a camera in her head. Funf act abt her !! she has water based mechanisms inside her, like little mills and such, so she always sounds like flowing water :}

Movies - Tangled !! Its fun and lighthearted with some pretty epic emotional beats. very relateable.

What hobbies do you have? What's your favorite part? Your least favorite part?

I mostly do digital art, i write too, and kandi art as well! For digital art, my fav is definitely the colours and special effects i can do. I have the whole rainbow whene i need it, i can easily change and wdit the pallette, its so fun and good. Least favourite is comijg up with what to draw akdbfjbgf

For writing, id say my favourite part is using nice words and portraying things drawings cant express (at my skill level i mean) and how you can change the readers feelings with just a few simple word choices- its nice to cut through to your reader like that. Feels like im making a connection. Least favourite part is keeping the words in my head and the words in my word doc the same or similar. Im bad at keeping the words in my brain when i think up cool things to say, so i tend to get the vauge thoguht down but not what i wsnted

For kandi art, i LOVE how pretty it is! giving it away as gifts is fun too. The beads slot together so well, creating paths for the string js fun and so satisfying. Least favourite is when i ACCIDENTALLY DROP THE STRING AND THREE HOURS IF WORK GOES DOWN THE DRAIN T-T. its a little finnecky sometimes too, and i got big clumsy sausage fingers jsjfjgjf

Silliest thing you've ever done?

okag okay. no judging ne over this even though i was like 14 and passed the age i should have done stuff lsike. uh. thatm this. i suppose.

So. Im 14. im about to make a hot chocolate. the water has boiled.

I decide i want filtered water instead. I decide, in a moment if beautiful clarity, that the shirt ive been wearing for like three weeks straight without breaks (deppression) would make a good filter.

I put my shirt over the mug. i am standing on my tippy toes to reach the counter. there is cat hair on my shirt and it is deeply stained. I have not yet realised that my shirt will then be wet with BOILING HOT WATER ON MY STOMACH. nobody is home. i am safe in the ignorance and ignorance of all rules and laws.

The mug is halfway full.

I need to take a break from being on my tippy toes. i stand down on flat feet.

i now have boiling water all over my stomach.

my wet and warm shirt is now on my now burnt stomach.

i go upstairs and douse myself with coldish water in the shower.

What was your dream job(s) as a kid? Why did you wanna do it? Is it still your dream job?

My first two dream jobs were fahsionista/fashipn designer and an author! I wanted to be a fahsion designer cause i lovelove clothes and being able to express myself really well. As for author? I just like dwriting, and telling kinda fucked up stories (at my age and reading and writing elvel i mean). Mostly wrote about lesbians. Didnt know what a lesbian was.

Id always loved story telling, i just thoguth and still think its really cool. When i was about 4, i think dad said, i would tell HIM bedtime stories ibstead of him telling me any. This more than once lead to me telling stories such as the one where a big monster went to this town and atr my entire family (i went into as much grotesque detail as my brain could muster) and sawed off peoples limbs to use as utensils like chopsticks and then ate those too and bit off peoples heads to trhow them at my other family members. the big momster had fun doing this. much fun. then at the edn i reveleaed that the monster was ME the wjole time and yeah dad said it was scary for me to do stuff like that.

Also do you KNOW how concerned my teacher was when 4th grade me wrote a story about two girls locked in this guys basment in tiny little capsules and they had to escape with the other girls that qere there? and how they had to kill the giy that trapped them ans the emotional aftermath of taking a human life, but knowing it was them or you and they saved all these women too? so concerned. dad said i wrote like if stephen king loved pink glitter and fairies that ate people. and was also 9 years old.

resident evil or kny?

Im going to do kny since Resident Evil is such a huge, plot hole ridden franchise i don't even know where to begin and I was always a Silent Hill gal anyways lol

Favourite Male Characters: Akaza, Douma, Kokushibou, Gyutaro and Tanjiro (well for the first part of the series at least)

Favourite Female Characters: Shinobu, Mitsuri, Tamayo and Koyuki

Least Favourite Characters: I am going to exclude characters that are meant to be disliked so:

Ok rants incoming under read more

1) Kagaya: Others have written much more detailed essays on why his writing is bad. The thing about Kagaya that annoys me the most are not exactly his actions but the way the narrative unironically frames him as this pure, perfect figure that can do no wrong. His most questionable actions like his very uncomfortable relationship with Sanemi, encouraging Shinobu to basically kill herself, him killing his own children etc. are all swept under the rug in favour of an extremely boring character. Imagine if Kagaya was actually presented as a flawed, human being.

Like, he wants to kill Muzan for the greater good, but in order to reach this goal he is willing to manipulate, deceit, encourage self-destructive behaviours among the slayers and throw anyone under the bus, even his own family that would make a much more interesting character and actually humanize him . It would even make him a parallel to Muzan by how willing they both are to ruin lives to reach their own goals (this would also require to make Muzan not be pure evil, you know a bit of a ying yang symbolism) but well we are stuck with this I guess.

Also on a sidenote am i the only one that gets weird cult vibes when it comes to Kagaya's relationship with the pillars. Especially in his introduction, Sanemi's flashback and Rengoku Gaiden (where Sanemi acts like a literal dog around him, yikes man)

2) Nezuko: I do not hate Nezuko but I hate her writing if that makes sense. Despite being the deuteragonist she is treated more akin to a cute mascot. She is constantly sidelined, her agency always taken away from her, she is given the most contrived power ups, she acts like a puppy (and I know that we are given an excuse in the manga on why she acts like this but i do not find that reason sufficient) and she is almost never allowed to talk nor are we shown her thought process.

Nezuko could have been such an interesting character. Maybe let her talk and express her thoughts and feelings, act like a girl her age (maybe she wears the muzzle only when she is in crowd filled with people and when the pillars and slayers that distrust her are around but removes it and talks when the Kamaboko squad, Kanao, Genya,Mitsuri, Aoi, Giyuu or Shinobu are around)

Edit: After this paragraph I made a huge rewrite of Nezuko's personality but since this is an ask game and not a how you would rewrite kny game I decided to edit it out. On a final note Nezuko should be given the same agency as her male counterparts ok goodbye.

Prettiest Characters: All of them tbh. Kotoha, mother spider demon, Kanae, Koinatsu-oiran, Haganezuka and the Tsugikuni twins being my favourites.

Funniest Character: Douma no competition, his first instict upon coming across two dying children on the street is to tell them wazzup, he gets killed and the first word he tells his murderer is "sup" like they are old college buddies. Kny AU where Douma says a your mom joke to Inosuke.

Favourite Arc: Despite it's myriad of flaws the Infinity Fortess arc is definetely my fav.

Favourite Episode: My favourite episode is Season 1 Episode 16. Spider mother demon's assisted suicide is one of the most beautiful and bittersweet moments in the series, def in my top 5. It perfectly showcases Tanjiro's empathy, it greatly humanizes the antagonist and just the music, the colours, the voice acting aghh.

Favourite Chapter: Akaza's backstory and death (i think it was chapters 154-156?) Just *sighhhhhhhhhh*

Favourite romantic ships:

Canon Ships: Hakuji and Koyuki is the only romantic relationship that Gotouge didn't manage to fuck up and i love them for it. How Koyuki and Hakuji clearly adore eachother and you can see why. How Koyuki and Keizou represent Hakuji's ability to love and his humanity and when they are cruelly taken away from him from other humans (recalling back to an earlier time where demons were portrayed as man-made monsters) it completely destroys him. I love a well-written tragic romance and those two just hit the spot for me. My emotional support bi4bi couple if you will.

Non Canon Ships: Shinomitsu like the power this ship holds... and how well those two compliment and parallel eachother with Mitsuri being insecure on her physical strength and Shinobu being insecure on her physical weakness and how they can help each other overcome said insecurities. We should have seen those two interact more in canon.

Kanao×Nezuko

I also like the Yoriichi× Sumiyoshi× Suyako polycule since Yoriichi deserves to be unconditionally loved, man went through a lot.

Favourite family ship: Gyutaro and Daki/Ume my beloveds. But like they are already related so idk what this question implies.

Favourite friendship: Kamaboko squad (when i say kamaboko squad, nezuko, genya, kanao,senjuro and aoi are always included the majority of their friendship is what i have written in my head but shh it's fine it's fine)

Worst Ships:

Canon Ships: Tanjiro × Kanao completely lacks any kind of romantic chemistry and it seems that they have been only paired up because she is girl and he is a boy,which, ughhhhh. Also the moment Kanae gives Kanao her coin and she implies Kanao will open up when she meets the boy she likes. Like babe, Kanao is so emotionally closed off due to trauma which was caused by being severely abused at home, the presence of a boy will not cut it.

Nezuko × Zenitsu is quite dreadful and it truly brings out the worst of Zenitsu's character. Not only does he act so obnoxiously and over possessive whenever he is near her but we also have no idea how Nezuko perceives him or if she is even able to comprehend his crush on her or if she can even form a romantic interest on her own since she acts like a kitten most of the time. Also the part where Zenitsu is frothing at the mouth because Sanemi pats Nezuko's head undermines his character development after his fight with Kaigaku. You are telling me the same manga that gave us this also gave us Hakuji and Koyuki? Like, okay.

Inosuke × Aoi: Aoi has more chemistry with the concrete wall in the Butterfly Estate than she does with Inosuke.

Non-Canon Ship:

Outside of the unmentioned gross shit like incest and pedophilia

Giyuu × Shinobu: I don't see it, i cannot see it, why is it such a popular ship ? (I mean we know why, that's rhetorical) I cannot perceive Shinobu and Giyuu as anything other than wlw×mlm solidarity/hostility. Like boys and girls can be friends with each other with no romantic motive, people.

Giyuu × Sabito: Someone described Sabito's and Giyuu's relationship as two 12 year old boys blowing raspberries at each other and...urmm...yeah...

Douma × Shinobu: No comment
