I was on Pinterest and I got so happy to see a new Feysand art just to realize its not them. And it took me 10 seconds to realise it because it was THAT similar.

This week's watching has obviously led to some related content on my YT dashboard - most of them are fairly cheap grabs for attention by other creators, but this one is actually a really good primer on how to cite your sources in the way academics do, both in content creation and in things like university papers, articles, etc. Highly recommend it if you're not familiar with how academic citation works, how it helps your work, and some of ways you can do it in a less formal setting.

I feel like there could be a whole series of incidents of Kadek calling Arden going 'Soooo..... I was around Efnisien and I might have accidentally (did a thing/said a thing/had feelings/dommed) and now IDK what to do?' And Arden doing various versions of 'ok, wait, what?' That snippet got my mind going and now I want more! Also a slightly flustered Kadek might be my new favorite thing.

Tbh Kadek doesn't get that flustered that often, lol. The only reason he really panicked this time was because it is a pretty big violation. He dominated Efnisien without his consent (which many in the kink community treat very seriously), and he did it to his friend's partner who he just picked up from the hospital.

Kadek wouldn't call Arden if he accidentally had feelings, or put his foot in his mouth otherwise. It's the violation of dominating Efnisien without his consent in a way that Efnisien may have realised he was being dominated without consenting, which really put him on edge. I think because Kadek also knows himself pretty well, and he can be tempted to cross lines, so he needs consent and he pretty much has a moral code which involves being as upfront as possible as soon as he violates a situation where consent should have been a factor.

It's also why Arden actually talks to Efnisien about it quite a bit when they meet up, and why Arden suggests talking to Kadek about it further. It's the kind of thing where if Efnisien felt violated and angry and manipulated, instead of just confused and curious, he'd have a right to feel that way. Which is why Kadek took it so seriously, because he wanted to make sure a) Arden had an opportunity to deal with it and b) everyone knew what was going on.

The reason he didn't immediately talk to Efnisien about it was because he just wasn't 100% sure Efnisien would know what had happened and he didn't want to be like 'hey I just dominated you without your consent, sorry' and have Efnisien be like 'huh???'

So yeah, I feel for Kadek, because that violation hurt and disturbed him much more than it did Efnisien. But at the same time, it's rare for Kadek to feel like that re: his behaviour or his feelings! He's generally pretty good at managing his own issues, so he rarely offloads to Arden.
