I hit a burst of inspiration with my passion project aka the companion fics for the trauma fic and I finally moved things along in the eddie begins missing scene fic (this fic is gonna end up so much longer than I anticipated it to be lol) but have a little bit of it as a push myself to finish it because I am ready to write the next one of these and I don't want to write 2 at the same time lol prev snippet

If Eddie didn’t already know, one look could tell him Buck had a bad night. His eyes are bloodshot, his hair is curling and sticking to his forehead, there's a tightness in his shoulders, uneasiness in the way he's fidgeting with the end of his sleeves where his hands rest on top of the table.  He looks tired but unsettled, like he's waiting for something bad to happen.  It vaguely reminds him of how he looked in the hospital when Maddie was missing.  It makes him yearn for a way to make it go away.

I remember being a kid and scoffing at poetry lessons in school because my mom hates poetry. but you know there's something very freeing in allowing myself to be poetic in my writing, finding metaphors and double entendres and meaningful ways to describe things. and funnily enough, I gotta give credit to Unreal Unearth by Hozier for fully reawakening the poet in me
