i have a petsitting job half an hour away from where i live and i really wish i had turned them down bc i’m dreading it

#i say stuff sometimes #i already hated driving long distance to petsit before i got my job #and i wanted to say ‘sorry you live too far away now that i have a steady job’ #but my mom convinced me to take them #her perception of work is a bit warped bc she has a job that allows her complete control of her schedule #and she was like ‘you cant have a job that gives u ur schedule a week in advance forever!’ #first of all your scheduling is very much the outlier here #secondly no i dont want to work here forever but its also only been 3 months #at least she was understanding when i told her i wouldnt be taking far away jobs anymore (after i’m done with this one) #i dont have a true day off until next saturday which doesnt seem bad #but i’m already feeling burnt out
