He says “hey try this game I've been playing.” I say “Okay!” #I have never heard of this game. I pick the mercenary. I go through 5 min of character history and background. I am mauled to death by dogs #It took me 4 resets to even get in the dungeon. But I finally get there. I am caught by a guard. He cuts off all but one of my limbs #I am forced to crawl around in a blood and corpse pit until the game tells me 'give up idiot'. #I reset. I am mauled by dogs again. I realize this is not for me but I am intrigued enough to go home and watch some playthroughs #And WOW what an interesting game it is! I really do appreciate games that blend their design philosophy with the theme it wants to set #This is a game about fear and hunger. And persevering. And penis (my god is there a lot of penis) #I recommend this to people who like extremely challenging games and can handle the many *content warnings* within this series #If the idea of Bloodborne/eldenring and undertale having a little RPG maker baby sounds appealing to you - give it a shot #It's made by ONE GUY and it's a great horror game. I am just really bad at it. #My friends just enjoy putting me in situations where I scream and yell. We don't talk about the corn mazes. and omg- the fact he is now MY MAIN SIM is insane. I just really liked him and I got very attached to him as well, he literally was cool ingame, always positive, never was the annoying townie at all, he literally is the friend of the world gosh I love him.

looking at qcharlie. if the codes and the federation truly aren't on the same side, charlie's somehow got the attention of three separate, opposing forces by doing nothing but trying to heal. the islanders (and the eggs) want him to live closer to spawn; for safety, yes, but because they want to see him more. they're worried about him. whatever the federation as a whole may want with charlie is up in the air, but with elquackity's interest in him, and nearly all of his birthday presents being bombs and escape tools, I think we can take a guess. and the codes, one masquerading as his dead daughter -- they want to learn from him. he managed to convince people that HE was an egg, didn't he? he's one of the only people on the island that hasn't hurt the codes, isn't he?

it seems like everyone's going to start pulling him in different directions very soon. two of these three groups are willing to do anything to get him on their side. but only one has gone far enough to ensure he'd stay there.

I think that the expectations of the show were for exactly what everyone wanted, because of Rick's involvement and the budget, but everyone imagined the books differently, so not everyone could ever be happy with it.

There's that, and it is marketed towards a younger audience and I'm not making any assumptions but most of the fans who aren't happy [from what I can see] are a bit older then the target audience [not that there's anything wrong with that, obviously, don't come at me], and if you re read the first book it's literally written for children.

There's literally backlash for everything ever made because for some reason people just can't chill [???] but I think the reason the Percy Jackson show had such a large amount of people unhappy with it is because we haven't had anything like it before. I don't know how to explain it but we've all created our own little versions of the show and made our own content for the fandom cause we were left to our devices for so long, so now that we have something, viewers already have these empires in their heads that they want to see on screen.

I'll just put it like this, if the show came out, like, a few years after the og book series, there would be less people unhappy with it.
