first off being a dutch lewis fan is mostly just getting a lot of weird stares and a lot of 'why' and 'its all the car yk' and scoffs

and for lewis stuff specifically, it's not so bad rn bc he's not winning but before I was a formula 1 fan all I knew was that Max was good bc hes a dutch asshole who says what he thinks

and that lewis is a bad guy bc he wears expensive stuff, only cares about his appearance and fashion n his car is the only good thing anyway so hes shit

so thats kinda still the consensus about lewis here which is such a boring and tired narrative but ok.

and the non max fan thing:

and basically dutch people mostly just care that you dont support max so when I wear any of my f1 hats I just get looked at weird and I've had a lot of 'not red bull' comments n dumb shit like that

If you're on the app, immediately go to your dms and then "add friends". After the latest update they allow your contacts to find you and have that option turned on by default, so make sure it's unchecked!

This is very obviously not great for a multitude of reasons, but especially for people in vulnerable positions who do not want people in their contacts to see who they are on discord and/or know they have discord in the first place. I've also tried finding out if this is a thing on desktop but haven't been able to find any mention of it, so either it's not a "feature" (yet) or they've hidden it. Either way, stay safe, and turn off finding friends via contacts!
