A/N: if you’re wondering why I’m having to repost this, or why you were perhaps previously following me but no longer are, please refer to this post.

Brienne x gender neutral!reader

Brienne x short!S/O

- so given that in the show Brienne is a staggering 6’3, the majority of the population will be dwarfed by her unless they have some giant’s blood

- however, people who are already deemed short by the rest of the world (dont bother standing up, we wont be seen ✌🏻😔), are PARTICULARLY short in comparison to Lady Brienne of Tarth

- while Brienne makes a point to not judge people on their physical appearances, as so many have done so harshly to her, she does notice your height or lackthereof

- and as much as she tries her hardest to not make any assumptions about you, she cannot help the natural protective instinct through which she views you as maybe just a little more fragile than she is

- but she would never tell you that

- until you are married or something probably

- Brienne has never spent so much time so close with someone of your stature and she admires the ways in which you have adapted the world around you to meet your needs. your ability to climb and reach things that she can grab with minimal effort, the length of time you can spend on your tiptoes to see over things that are in your way, how quickly you can find a solution to the problems your height presents to you

- she admires your resilience and finds it very endearing, she could watch you climb things all day if it werent for her instinctive response of grabbing whatever you need to prevent the risk of you falling a single inch life or death to you let’s be real

- while out with her and Podrick, with an established friendship, Pod jokes about how different your view of the world must be from Brienne’s and that you should get on her shoulders to see the world on a whole new level

- and Brienne is so game bc tysm Podrick for giving her an excuse to lift you up tytyty she is forever in your debt and will never snap at you ever again

- she is so gentle when she does lift you up, acutely aware of how big her hands are on your body as she places you on a high enough tree stump for you to then climb on her shoulders

- you are literally up there for 4 seconds before your fear of heights kicks in and you are begging to be back on ground level lol

- and Brienne is all 🥺🥺🥺 omg did not mean to scare u bb

- but then you express how beautiful the world must be to her, seeing so much of it like she can all the time, and that every time you look at her you’ll remember the glimpse you got into her world and needless to say she is just IN LOVE

- but let’s not get it twisted, just because you’re short DOES NOT MEAN you will not go feral if someone tries to hurt Brienne with words or violence

- you’ll go ham in your own way. like an angry rodent

- and it doesnt matter that 99% of the time Brienne grabs you before you can commit any crimes and you are left a flailing ball of small limbs in her arms that are barely even trying to hold you back, it’s the sentiment

- as the two of you get closer, Brienne only grows more protective of you

- and if you think she’ll tolerate other people making jokes at the expense of your height, you’d probably better check the pile of bodies with sword-shaped stab wounds on the boat sailing out to sea

- once your friendship transcends into a romantic relationship, the height-related petnames come in

- Brienne cant help herself from calling you “little one”, “little love”, “little dove”, “little angel”, you are too precious to her in every possible way

- your knightly lady will take ANY excuse to swing you up into her arms and carry you around

- and she loves nothing more than holding you as you drift off to sleep, completely shielding you from all harm and keeping you warm from even the harshest winter

- but she also treasures the nights when you hold her, your smaller hands drawing gentle patterns on the side of her face and running through her hair as she rests her head against your chest, feeling safe and secure and loved in ways that only you have ever made her feel

- overall, she would love you no matter your height, but when you look up at her from your place approximately 4 inches from the ground, she knows there a few things she could adore more

whats fpks relationship with herrah? I know canonically, white lady doesnt really feel any ill will towards her as she likes hornet, but how do you think fpk feels towards her? And, since I can't leave grimm out of this, how does he feel about herrah? Maybe he'd feel similarly to wl, since she's basically his daughter now

while typing this out i have another question, which of the dreamers are still alive in your AU, and what are their relationships with fpk, if any? since holly is alive id assume you branched off of the embrace the void ending, and i dont believe you need to kill any dreamers for that end (if I'm wrong, do correct me!), and quirrel in your AU doesn't have monomons mask, so i can only assume ghost at least got to her.

it was... not the best, admittedly. granted, they weren't hostile towards each other, i actually think that herrah warmed up to him a little bit, mostly seeing how attached he got to hornet. they certainly had a common reason to bond over, the problem is that fpk was afraid of her. among his species, it's quite common for the larger female to kill and eat the male after mating, so it's coded in his brain to expect that possibility. with wl, it was a bit different - she's more plant-like, and so her behavior is very different to that of a wyrm, or any other carnivorous species, and that comforts his mind a little bit. but with herrah, he sadly couldn't have that assurance, so he was very stressed out about it and expecting the worst

their affair was part of a bargain, so he knew it was his obligation to fullfil his side, but he was terrified throughout all of it. on top of that, since he's gay in the au, he had another reason not to enjoy it very much, though he didn't realize at the time. so all in all, it was a very unpleasant experience, and it greatly impacted his perception of herrah. i do think he have liked for it to be different, after all, she was hornet's mother and i'm sure he would love to have a more pleasant relationship with her, if only for the sake of their daughter. but his fear was too strong and so he rarely visited deepnest aside from seeing hornet (probably for the better since deepnest wasn't particularly fond of him. too bright of a light, for one haha)

as for grimm, you said herrah, but judging by the rest of that sentence i'm assuming you meant hornet, so just in case i'll go over both. i don't think he interacted with herrah much, perhaps he knew her before the whole bargain deal, but nothing more than just being aware of her existence. and with hornet, like you said, she's basically his daughter now and he most certainly sees her as such. definitely more than wl did, but her being emotionally distant is basically a given - she didn't dislike hornet but to call their relationship a mother-daughter one would be an exaggeration. grimm, however, absolutely sees her as his own child. he did that even before him and fpk became a thing - he always liked to imagine himself and fpk raising her together, but since it wasn't meant to be at the time, he instead brought her gifts and entertained her with his powers whenever he visited. these days it's a tad more complicated with hornet's refusal to admit that she sees him as a father figure and her overall bitterness, but his attitude hasn't changed at all. of course, he doesn't pamper her with gifts anymore, but he enjoys spending time with her and bonding over shared interests. their relationship is fun, they have the generally laid back, joking type dynamic of close friends, but it's clear that grimm does thinks of her as his child, meanwhile hornet seems to get upset at that idea, but secretly really cares about him

the dreamers are something i thought about before and i'm considering leaving one of them alive, since i think they're interesting characters and i'd love to explore at least one of them post-ending. as you said, monomon is a goner, and so is herrah, as hornet in the au finds there to be no reason to visit deepnest unless she has to, so it's a natural assumption that her mother is dead. that leaves lurien, and with the city of tears slowly returning to its prime over the course of the au, he would be a pretty good fit for an important figure that watches over its development. but i haven't decided yet. if i choose to keep him dead, then i think it would be a fun idea for his butler to be "promoted" to lurien's previous role, since he was his most trusted bug. we'll see, i like both of those options, and i'll have to see what i decide on

“I cannot believe you can sing like that lass!” Chibs exclaimed loudly from the bar in the clubhouse. The Friday night party was in full swing and Delaney was sat on Jax’s lap as the rest of the club made comments about how well she did at the fundraiser. “There is alot you guys dont know about me. I have lots of secret talents.” Delaney wiggled her eyebrows and laughed loudly at the expression on the guys faces. “No, Seriously. I love singing covers but i write songs too. I just never sing them. It’s weird, i’ve just never had the confidence. My parents wanted me to be a Lawyer or Doctor and well, you can see how that turned out!” Delaney gestured at herself and giggled. “I think you turned out perfect.” Jax said as he leaned in and kissed her head. “And talking about them secret talents, its time to take my old lady home. Sorry guys!” Jax grinned as the guys groaned loudly at his innuendo. Delaney did not have to be told twice as she quickly said goodbye to Gemma and Clay before following her Fiance to his bike. Jax was reaching for his spare helmet when an unfamiliar Car pulled onto the TM Lot. Jax Pulled Delaney close as he watched a man and woman emerge from the car. The woman was tall and slim with dark hair and dark eyes. She had a pointed look on her face and Jax could already tell she was judging everyone. The male was short and frumpy, with a receeding hairline and bright eyes. “Mom? Dad?” Delaney questioned, shock evident in her voice, as she made her way towards the car with Jax following close behind her. “W-What are you doing here? You never called to tell me you were coming out!” Delaney’s Mom scowled at her daughter. “Well we wanted to suprise you. We were concerned that we couldnt get hold of Alex, so we decided to fly out. Do not be ungrateful.” Delaney sighed at her mother. She has never been nice to her, and always thought the sun shone out of Alex’s backside. This was going to be a difficult convosation. “Well me and Alex, we arent together anymore. I dont know where he is-” It wasnt a lie. She didnt know where he was and she never wanted to know either. Her moms eyes widened. “Don’t tell me, you messed it up like you do everything else. Always been ungrateful, hasnt she James? I’m glad we flew out. You clearly need our help. I’m sure we can fix it. You just need to lose a few pounds, all this american food hasnt helped your waist line dear! You’ve clearly let yourself go. Walking around no make up, hair a mess and when was the last time you had your nails done? What have i told you Delaney Louise? Men do not appreciate it when their woman looks rough! No wonder Alex probably went somewhere else. Have you atleast been doing the housework and cooking him home meals?” Delaney’s Cheeks blushed crimson at her moms critisism and the fact that the rest of the club came out to see the new arrivals, catching the awful toungue lashing her mother dished out. Her Father just stood there an awkward smile on his face. Years of having to listen to her mother go on and on has made him compliant, never wanting to get on her bad side. “Mom, Can you please forget about Alex? He wasnt a good man. He did things to me you never knew about, even before we moved out here. I’ve met someone else. Someone who treats me so much better.” Her moms eyes flickered to where Jax was stood next to her. She watched her mom look him up and down and it honestly made her blood boil to see the judgement on her face. “He’s no Alex.” Delaney couldnt hold it in. “YES. YOUR CORRECT. HE’S NO ALEX. HE DOESNT GRAB ME BY THE HAIR AND DRAG ME TO THE FLOOR WHEN HIS BREAKFAST ISNT DONE ON TIME. HE DOESNT TELL ME IM USELESS AND FAT AND UGLY. HE DOESNT HIT ME EVERYDAY. HE DOESNT SCARE ME. HE DOESNT MAKE MAKE ME FEEL LIKE IM WORTHLESS. HE DOESNT MAKE ME FEEL LIKE I WANT TO DIE AND THAT THE WORLD WOULD BE BETTER OFF WITHOUT ME IN IT. HE MAKES ME FEEL SAFE AND LOVED AND HAPPY. SHOULDNT THAT BE WHAT YOU WANT FOR YOUR DAUGHTER? TO BUILD A LIFE WITH SOMEONE WHO MAKES HER FEEL LIKE SHE’S THE MOST AMAZING THING. RATHER THAN LIVE EVERYDAY IN FEAR THAT THAT WILL BE THE DAY HE FINALLY KILLED ME?” Delaneys chest heaved as she screamed at her mother. “Oh dont be so dramatic, Delaney Louise! So what he slapped you a few times? You’ve always been out of control. You needed raining in! To be showed whats acceptable and whats not! Alex did you a favour even looking at you in the first place. He could have his pick of the women wherever he went and he chose you! He chose to be with someone who behaved and looked like you! I hate to say it as you are my daughter but lets face it, your never the prettiest girl in the room. You ate your feelings through high school and look how its effected your body! Nobody wants you, and its not hard to believe when you look like that. Like i said, now im here we will correct it and you will apologise to Alex in the hope he will take you back.” Delaney shook her head at her mother. The nerve of her. “If you ever think im going to stand in front of that man again you are more delusional than he is.” The smack echoed across the lot loudly. Delaney’s head whipping to the side with the force of the hit. Her hand came up to cover the red mark on her face as she spit the blood that formed in her mouth on the concrete. “Do not ever disrespect me like that. I am your Mother!” The shrill voice of her mum and the shouts of protest of every member of the club sounded like it was far away. Delaney didnt know what was happening. She had been hit harder than that before but for some reason it feels like her brain had been shaken against her skull. Fuck, she could take a hit but this was different. Something was wrong. “Baby?” Jax’s arms wound around her waist trying to steady her. She could see double and her ears felt like they were ringing. “Jax-” was all Delaney could mumble before she went limp in his Arms.

*1 HOUR LATER*

Jax paced up and down the hospital waiting room. “She really werent lying when she said her mom was a bitch.” Juice nodded in agreement at opies comment. “Do you mind? Me and my wife are right here!” Delaneys dad spoke up as her mum scoffed. “Do you think we give a shit? Look at how you’ve treated her. You’ve been here 5 fucking minutes and look at how much you upset her!” Gemma snapped. “You should’ve stayed your asses in England!” Delaneys mum Stood up and made her way to where Gemma Stood in the doorway, but before she could say anything Gemma laughed. “Just try it sweetheart. I am not your daughter. I will fuck you up.” Jax glared at his mother. “Will all of you shut the fuck up? My fiance is currently lying in a hospital bed and you guys fighting is not fucking helping!” Before anyone could say anything else the doctor appeared. “Im guessing your all here for Delaney?” Jax Stepped forward, “Please can i see her? She’s my fiance!” Delaneys mum scoffed loudly, “I am her mother, Linda. I should be the one to see her!” Jax and Gemma rounded on her. “YOUR THE FUCKING REASON SHES IN HERE!” The doctor shook his head at the group. “Look you all need to calm down otherwise i will have to ask you to leave the hospital. She’s been asking for Jax, Gemma and club members. Which im guessing is all you guys with the patches on. She has specifically stated that no one else is to enter her hospital room so if your not a patched member, or your name is not Jax or Gemma you need to leave.” Delaneys parents scowled but left the room without argument. Jax sighed in relief that they were gone. “So now thats dealt with. You can see her but we are just waiting on the result of one more test, as soon as that comes through i will be with you guys shortly.” Jax thanked the doctor then made his way towards Delaney’s Hospital room. Everyone pushed into the room, trying to be the one to get to her first.

Delaney Laughed as she watched Opie, Juice, Halfsack and Happy try to cram themselves through the doorway at the same time. “Get the fuck out of the way!” Juice gunted. “No move your fat ass i was here first.” Opie groaned as his shoulder got rammed hard against the door frame. “Both of you move out the fucking way. I’m her faveorite.” Happy shoulder barged his way through the small gap, sending juice flying forward onto the hospital floor. “Your all fucking idiots.” Jax snapped as he stepped over juice and rushed towards delaneys bed. “Hey babe, you gave me quite the scare.” Jax pressed a kiss to her forehead and smiled at her as he climbed onto the bed next to her. “Im sorry for scaring everyone. I dont know what happened, I think all the stress and worry these last few weeks have just caught up with me. I feel better now.” She tried her best to reassure everyone, but the doctor entering the room made everyone turn. “Do you want to speak in private?” The doctor asked Delaney but she shook her head. “No everyone here is Family.” Nodding his head, the doctor started to run through her test results as everyone listened carefully.

“So we tested you for a number of things, Miss Carter. And thankfully all the serious diagnosis have been ruled out, but i do want to check one last thing that could explain your fainting. How have you felt recently?” Delaney’s eyebrows furrowed in confusion. “I’ve been fine really. Just tired, but i put that down to the stress of the fundraiser. and all the organising. I’ve been waking up in the middle of the night alot feeling sick but that is normal when my anxiety flares up.” The doctor nodded his head as he wrote notes on Delaney’s chart. “It does make sense. The fainting, the tiredness. Miss Carter, Your pregnant.”

i am going to tell you the hopkins lore i pulled out of my ass. this isnt canon

i think hopkins isnt. really all that awful to be honest. objectively hes just. average for the city. hes seen as awful because hes an obstacle to the player, but like. his crime is stealing enkephalin and fucking off, while fucking over his coworker he didnt really like

i see ppl who say he doesnt care about aya which is probably intended by projmoon but i see it less as that and more he doesnt really...want to express emotions in front of the limbus crew? he openly mocks yuri and the sinners dying and does not hesitate to stab them in the back right after aya dies

and he doesnt mock aya when she dies. actually he barely says anything at all that isnt about dante not being able to speak. hes completely silent otherwise. which could be because of yuri freaking out but he usually pokes at yuri?

so to me i think he did care, he just didnt want to show weakness. is he an ass? yeah, but hes not uniquely an ass. hes just normal for the city, and honestly he makes a good point about the sinners going in entirely unprepared for anything lol

I cannot tell you how much I appreciate the opening sentence to this all because telling me straight up "this is a product of my own thoughts" helps a ton!

Also yea go off fam, I don't mind this sort of thing when I know what I'm dealing with. It's the mix of fandomization with actual facts of the canon narrative sprinkled in just enough to be confusing that bugs me.

Also I don't recognize the name, but I love the point of like "sure this person is an asshole but there's nothing about him that is actually worse than anyone else in the city."

I think that's something a lot of people forget about the Proj Moon universe. We sorta view it like it's our world but just different, if we lived in the city we'd all do what we needed to in order to survive.

I'm not a violent person, I have no reason to kill or hurt anyone and considering the world we live in I likely, hopefully; never will. However if I lived in the city I'd absolutely carry weapons regularly and I'd live by the core rules of "kill them before they can kill you" and "never leave yourself vulnerable" like hell Roland was arguably a saint compared to most since a lot of what he did, he did for the reasons of living a better life with his wife and child where they'd be safe and we all know how that turned out for him so like...

The city is not "Earth with our current society but a little different and quirky" it's a society where people do shitty things on the regular just to get by, to survive at the bare minimum.

If we judge individuals of that universe using their in world circumstances it's actually interesting how people who in our world would be shitty horrible awful no good people are basically your run of the mill asshole no different from that Karen at starbucks who yells at the barista, is that a horrible asshole thing to do? Absolutely, but it doesn't mean I think said Karen deserves like, death or something; she's just a dick but that's not like uniquely dickish.

By Proj Moon standards this dude sounds like a petty thief and a dick at worst, not like some super villain who's experimenting on children or murdering people for the sake of their own enjoyment and empowerment. Sure it sounds like he's a manipulative asshole but he's not AYIN or like, any of the Ensemble who arguably were bigger dicks for their actions (outside of victims like Philip who turned to the Ensemble for arguably sad reasons and yes should still be held accountable for their shitty behavior but weren't as bad as say the lady who wanted to kill people because only the strong deserve to live or some shit.)

So, I know we bully the Bridgertons in the isekai au because the Spouses want nothing to do with them and reject all their attempts (which I find hilarious because I enjoy making them suffer)

But how do you think the Spouses would start falling in love with them? What are the things that make them "click" and see their respective Bridgerton in different lids?

So a big part of the change of perspective for the spouses is gonna back to two things. The first is the root between this divide between the two families, and that is Portia's fear for her family and the relationship she shares with Violet. Until that has some change in it, the spouses are almost guaranteed to be at arm's length from the Bridgertons. The champions for helping to solve that mess will be Lady Danbury and Mary. Though to be honest that's probably just a fun game for them or at least for Lady Danbury who lives for the drama and is the whole reason this started when she isekaied Portia.

The second thing is that the spouses have to learn to grow beyond the family and beyond the mothers. Now that is to say they don't love them and will always be there for the family. But part of growing up and moving forward is learning to move beyond your parents, which a part of that is starting a family of your own.

There are little things that help with that second part. Things that helped the spouses see beyond the Bridgertons public personas.

For Kathony it's when Kate sees Anthony not as the viscount but as the man who got thrown into a seat of power and essentially fatherhood before he was ready. She saw it when the siblings were playing pall mall, and she saw it again when she stumbled upon Anthony during a stormy night in the library. She was trying to find a distraction while he was letting himself have a vulnerable moment with some of his father's old things.

For Benophie, I want to say it's when Sophie discovers Benedict's sketches. You can see a lot of what the artist does in their work. There was such beauty in them it left Sophie stunned. Especially when she got to the sketches of herself. She never knew she could be so beautiful to someone.

Weirdly for Polin, I can see the change happening when Colin blows up on Penelope. Penelope recognizes Colin as a snake charmer. He uses pretty words, and while she loves pretty words, she thought there was nothing else. Then, one day, Colin caught her by surprise when he followed her doing some of her more illegal activities, and he blew up on her. It's not the fact that he was angry at her but the fact that he was angry because of his fear of her safety. The multi-level emotions she had never seen from him before were now there.

Saphne's change came when Daphne punched Simon and gave him a black eye. (He deserved it. Also, Simon has a strength kink, and no one is changing my mind on that) All the time Simon has known Daphne, she has been the model debutant. (We all know she has a body count in a literal sense, but he doesnt) This is the first time Simon gets to see more of the real Daphne.

Philoise happens right around the twins' birth. George died in war, leaving behind a pregnant and unwed Marina. Marina sadly passed in childbirth. Phillip adopts the twins, and Eloise, in a roundabout way, comes to his aid with parenting books or the closest thing to it in that time. The twins also take a liking to Eloise. We'll Phillip have to listen then, babies do generally have a good judge of character on who is safe.

Franchael happens around the time of John's death. Francesca, in this timeline, fell in love with Michael first but was still good friends with John. Michael, whose loyalties lied with his found family, still loved his cousin, and their relationship actually improved when Michael started living semipermantly with the Featheringtons. Mourning together over a loved one can bring people closer.

The babies really didn't have a big defining moment. They followed the older ones' leads when the two sides started getting friendlier, so did they. Being younger, they had more time to let things take a more or less natural course.

2/2 because he felt it went against his religious beliefs they could have asked him to make a different cake without the design he would have made it for them ( I even recall that the baker even offered that ) its not like he said he doesnt serve gay people he just didnt want to put that design. they could have went somewhere else rather then targeting him ( I dont see them do this to a muslim bakery. or imagine someone going to a lgbt bakery and ask for a anti lgbt design cake

i note that you didn't even address Roe. but let's put a pin in that.

so, affirmative action isn't systemic racism. it's an attempt to remedy systemic racism (though note that the chief beneficiaries have been white women). the only way you could believe that it is racism is if you believe that acting toward college populations that are more inclusive of people of color is racism against white people. which is absurd on its face.

that said, affirmative action is not a very good remedy for systemic racism. it intervenes on the wrong end, when people have already come out of deeply unequal schools with deeply unequal standardized tests and extracurriculars. when people have already come out of deeply unequal historically-redlined neighborhoods and deeply unequal family wealth directly caused by racialized dispossession. those folks don't tend to be helped much. but those problems are big and hard to solve. admitting a few more people in a fancy college is easy and makes people feel like they're making a difference to those big, hard problems. there's a good podcast from NPR about this, and it talks about how in admissions someplace like Harvard, it's a decision between Person A and Person B who both went to expensive private schools and their parents have boatloads of money. it's not doing a lot of heavy lifting for racial justice. but to the extent that elite institutions do give people advantages, gaining access to them is beneficial and should be more broadly available. a little bit of a solution is better than not trying, while we are working on those big, hard problems.

and abortion (here it is. told you it'd be back.) also intervenes on the wrong end. the right solution is comprehensive sex education and readily available contraception, so that people know how to, and have the resources to, not get pregnant. the right solution is also moving toward reproductive justice, so that people who do want kids are able to have them, such as a comprehensive social safety net. but those are big, hard problems. and letting people stop being pregnant if they don't want to be is a lot easier. a little bit of a solution is better than not trying, while we are working on those big, hard problems.

third, the 2023 SCOTUS decision was not about a cake at all. that was Masterpiece Cakeshop in 2018. this year's decision was 303 Creative, and it was a textbook case of "making up a guy to be mad at." a lady who made websites, who did not make wedding websites, sued to overturn a civil rights law because if she were to start making wedding websites, she'd have to make them for gay people. nobody had asked her to make one! because she didn't sell wedding websites! she had not in fact been harmed by that law at all, and the case should have immediately been dismissed for lack of standing, but a whole series of judges decided that didn't matter. so no, nobody harassed some Christian bakery.

in 303 Creative, the court essentially said that civil rights don't count if somebody can claim that discriminating against you is religious. it said that discrimination is free speech if you can say it's religious. the fundamental premise of that Civil Rights Act--you know, the one you waved around in your message--is that you can't deny access to public accommodations to somebody because you don't like the kind of person they are. if you're a business, you gotta serve everybody.

and you know, yeah, i think gay people should not be in a hurry to give any money to homophobes. until it's that the only gas station or restaurant or hotel for 100 miles won't serve you, and you're stranded in the middle of nowhere. until a doctor won't treat you.

and this court is just getting started on rolling back civil rights. Thomas laid it out in his concurrence in Dobbs. they're coming after Obergefell (same-sex marriage) and Lawrence (consenting adults can have whatever sex they want) and Griswold (birth control). i think some of the others are probably gunning for Loving (interracial marriage) and Brown (segregation). they're going to spend from now until 2054 undoing every bit of progress since 1954.

and Mitch McConnell is directly responsible for giving them the overwhelming majority that lets them do that. so if his imaginary sky man is real, he's gonna have a lot to answer for.

Tumblr Plays Pokemon White 2 - Part 3

Picking up where we left off, I decide to do some last minute exploring around Aspertia City and managed to get an ultra ball! I think its only available from an npc in one of the houses after you beat the gym. Still happy I chose to explore. An ultra ball is a pretty good item this early in the game.

Heading towards Virbank from Aspertia I KO a few wild pokemon on the way. Once on my way out of Floccesy town Bianca catches up. Turns out she wants to update our pokedex to add a habitat feature which helps figure out which pokemon are in an area.

She also tells us about rustling grass which is one of hte only ways to get certain pokemon in this game. I will likely be including such pokemon in the polls in the future.

Once we get onto route 20 a hiker is blocking our path and wont let us through without a gym badge. When we show him we have one he immediately starts a battle.

He starts with a riolu and I send out aries. Riolu hits with a quick attack while I have Aries use cotton spore to slow it down. I then use thunderwave to paralyze the little tyke. Riolu used foresight making Aries easier to hit and followed up with endure. Aries used thundershcok to deal some damage but while it does decent damage its not enough to get into the red. Riolu hits with another quick attack and I have Aries use thundershock again. This gets riolu in the red. I try to finish him off with tackle but he uses endure before I can, letting him hang on by 1 hp. Paralysis keeps riolu from counterattacking though so Aries next tackle takes him out.

After that I head down the stairs and run into Hugh and Cheren again. Cheren tells us about the dark grass where you can sometimes face 2 pokemon instead of just 1 and they can be stronger than regular pokemon. He then gives us some Pecha berries and takes off.

I decide to have Aries beat up a small childs psyduck for exp. I mean, there IS going to be another gym coming up. With that concious clearing thought I beat up a little girls lillipup.

This is pokemon. You gotta harden your heart a little XD

After beating up several little childrens pets Bentley winds up at level 15 and Aries at level 13. On our way through the gate to Virbank the desk lady stops me, judges me by the number of pokemon I have and gives me some great balls.

Not two steps into Virbank and our mom calls. UUUUUGH I'm only one town over MOM. I even have a murder bean and an electricfied wool blanket to keep me safe! LET ME LIVE MY LIFE.

Good thing we hung up on ma when we did or else we wouldn't get to see this juicy drama unfold.

This guy wants to be both a ship captain AND movie star!

But his... daughter? tells him how hes already a captain with, like, responsibilities and stuff and how if he doesnt move his ship stuff will go bad. But daddy-boy has a good comeback. evidently his daughter is the gym leader but also a member of a band. If she can do it why can't he? He then swaggers off like a BOSS

ROXIE! That is no way to speak to your father!

Maybe I should go to the gym and teach her a leson about respecting her elders.... later. I gotta heal up the team at the pokecenter. Plus, honestly? This is the first town I've been to on my own. Imma EXPLORING.

And with that I do things like talk to strangers, find "antidotes" in trash cans, be given burn medicine, pokeballs by complete strangers, etc.

I'm also going to go play in a construction zone and (checks polls) try and catch a growlithe! This is also the first area where shaking grass becomes available which means Audino is now available for grin training which is going to come in handy down the line. At the moment though I really don't want to over level my team so I think I may try prioitizing catching a growlithe over trainer battles for as long as I can. Although I am going to opt to hunt for a growlithe in the dark grass to both increases my chances for an encounter, as well as increase my chances for a higher level growlithe.

Not only do I eventually successfully encounter a growlithe, but the very start of the fight lets me see that it has the Intimidate ability which is arguably one of the great core abilities of the game.

I have Bentley at the front of the party so he is sent out first but I pretty quickly swap into Aries to paralyze Growlithe. Plus this Growlithe is level 14 so using Aries, who is one level under it, might be the better call. It helps that fire types take neutral damage to electric as well. Although the fact htat its raining in gme may change that a bit. After two thundershocks and taking a couple of embers Aries successfully gets Growlithe into the yellow. Not wanting to repeat Bentleys murder spree from earlier, and wanting a new team member of the poison type gym, I opt to go ahead and try throwing a great ball. (I'd like to save the ultra ball I got in Aspertia for later potential catches).

And with that our little lady Growlithe is caught!

In a bit of selfish irl insertment I've opted to name this little spitfire after my families elderly dog. (I'm not the first person to name one of their pokemon after an irl pet and I wont be the last)

Course after giving it such a personal name I was relieved to see she had a Hardy nature and could fit into the team dynamic!

Fire and Blood (The fanfic) Chapter 5: Death and duty Dark! Aemond x OC as well as mentioned dark Aegon x Oc

Concept: After a rough night with Aemond and Aegon as their bedmate, you spend the moring after with Aemond in his bed, when Aegon is out in King's Landing. Unknowing to you, the king has died and the Greens plans are set in motion. Your father is the first victim of the Dance.

WARNINGS: Smut, mention of oral sex, mentions of fucking, smut, p in v, p in a (later) and using sex as punishment. cruel aemond and fucked up aegon, book-aemond and other fucked up shit.

Next day

You awake in Aemonds bed. He is still snoring. And loudly. Gods that boy can snore. You climb on his body and softly kiss his sleeping body. On his lips. He slowly opens his good eye and groans.

'Hmm.' You rub your legs against him and cuddle him. 'So improper Lady Beespring.' He whispers in your ear. You feel something suck your neck and feel you up. 'My lady,' you giggle. You like it when he calls you that.

'Good morrow. How are you feeling?' You blush as you look around his room. 'Can we play tonight? With you, with Aegon? I want you to teach me how to please a man properly.' You get straight to the point blushing ready to take this wherever it may go. Aemond looks suprised but he doesnt mind.

'With my mouth,'

He moans when biting down on your lip. 'We can plan that, yes.'

The door of his room is pushed open and you cover yourself. Aemond sits up and waits for the person to enter the room. It's his rooms. He is not afraid of who enters. You are. You are terrified. You try to hide but it's too late already.

Ser Criston Cole. He looks shocked when he sees you. Aemond tries to cover you up but it's a little too late. He judges Aemond and you heavily. 'Lady Beespring, my prince.' He says in that order.

You blush. 'Ser Criston, I was just-' you are horrified.

He doesn't meet your eyes. 'The prince is my friend, my lady. I will not betray your secret or his.'

'Thank you.'

Aemond covers you up, covering your naked body from sight. He pulls you closer possessivly and gives you a kiss on your hair. 'What are you doing here, Cole? Do not tell me I need to start putting on signs on the door when I'm busy entertaining my special guests.' He jokes but he stops halfway when Cole looks at him.

Cole is not even laughing. 'I do advise you to get dressed. Something happend. The king has died.'

Aemond doesn't react when you react all emotions at all. Disbelieve, anger, denial grief... 'Hm..' he simply says.

You are shocked.

'Gods...' you mutter. He at least saw his family happy one last time. Before he died. That is all he ever wanted.

Cole nods to Aemond before leaving you both again. You turn to Aemond.

You notice his good eye narrowing at you in suspension. 'Aemond, how are you feeling?' You ask carefully picking your words.

He growls immaturely. 'Like I want to be alone.' You know him better by now and can see when his walls go up, especially when he is hurt. You know that. From Aegon. He does the same.

You grab his hand. 'Do not do this. Do not shut me out.' You plead. He makes himself lose from your grip.

He doesnt even look at you anymore. 'You should see Helaena. I never cared for that old fuck. He never cared about me either.' That is not true but you know better than the argue with him.

You get up and start getting dressed by yourself when aemond remains in his bed. 'If that is your command,' you say giving him time to change his mind.

He doesn't however. 'It is.'

You walk out of his rooms, and are suprised and shocked and simply mortified when one of the queens ladies in waiting stands there waiting for you. You doubt that Aemond approves of that but it's too late to get him now. Its Talja. 'Good morrow, Lady Beespring. The Queen would like a word.' She knows.

Alicent wears green as every other day but she looks broken. She waits patiently for you, playing with her rings and praying to the gods. You wait for her to finish praying before letting yourself be known. 'Lady Beespring.' She gets up as you curtsy.

'My Queen,' you say full of devotion.

She smiles warmly at you. 'Please, have a seat.' You obey.

She takes your hands in his.

'How is Aegon advancing in his lessons?' She asks. It's never been asked by her before. Never.

You dont want to share it. It's no secret Aegon is ashamed of his learning difficulties. 'Not so good, your grace. You see...' you try to find the right words.

She smiles kindly at you like you are friends. 'He tries very hard. He does. But whenever some time passes he forgets it all again. I think there might be some ...mental blockade. I read about it once. It could be a learning disorder of the mind.' You carefully say. Alicent nods.

She then subtly changes subjects but her eyes look like they can murder you.

'What about my other son? Prince Aemond?' She asks but you know better. You know much better. She is suspicious of you and her sons.

You keep your face composed but inside you are already begging her not to take your head for this. 'What about him, your grace?' You ask politely.

Alicent chuckles like that was a very stupid question. 'You were seen leaving his chambers this morning.'

An idea pops up in your head. 'Yes. You see, your grace...uhm.. I know. Of the king.' You carefully whisper. 'I heard from a servant who delivered me my breakfast.'

Alicent now looks like the uncomfortable one. You reach out and give her a soft squeeze in her hands. 'I am so sorry, your grace. I am. He was a kind and good man. Centuries will pass before we have a good king like that again.' You continue planting your lies hopefully they are convincing enough for now.

'I wanted to comfort Aegon. He seems tough. They both do. But all they want is their fathers love like all children. I went to Aemond when I couldn't find him.'

A letter is brought in. The queen reads it instantly. 'I'm sorry as well, child.' She says after reading it. You don't recognise the seal on the letter; a Green dragon. But there is only one person who rides a green dragon.

Aemond.

'I'm afraid this information is rather sensitive. Aemond agreed to let you stay in his rooms for safekeeping under guard until we have fixed this situation.'

Your heart skips.

'Fixed? When Rhaenyra will get here, you mean?'

She wont even look at you.

'Yes. That.' You feel a feeling of uneasiness taking root inside you and it only grows and grows.

When you return you are stopped by lord larys. You smile at him. 'Hello, my lord. Here to see the queen?' He eyes you uneasily. Larys gives you a kind smile. 'Lady Beespring I am so sorry for the loss of your dear father.' You don't even have time to process The words before you collaps to the floor. Father. Dead?

'They killed him in the council today. His body is still there, I bet it's cold now. Cold and heavy.' You dont hear another word.

You take off running to the council hall.

There, you find your father. His head is smashed in and he is cold as snow when you reach for his arm. He lies on the table his eyes spread open wide.

How could this happen? And why?

You sob, clutching his arm. They left him here, his brains smashed in. 'Daddy? Daddy it's me, please daddy. Don't leave me yet. I need you.' But it's too late. He is gone.

'Lady Beespring what are you-...Oh.' Aemond clear his throat awkwardly. 'You were supposed to be under guard.' He says.

You look at him helplessly before burying yourself against his chest, crying out heavily. Uncomfortable he rubs your back. 'Who did this, Aemond? Tell me. Tell me who killed my father?' You ask, vengeance in your eyes.

He wipes away some tears of your face. 'I can't. We have bigger fishes to fry. Let's go back to my rooms so you can rest and calm down.' He wants to lock you up there. Why? What is he hiding?

You nearly explode of anger. 'Bigger fishes?! Who in the seven hells did this! You own me this! tell me or I will tell the Queen what happend between us.' You threaten.

He is hurt by that and glares but you dont care. 'Ser Criston cole smashed his brains in.' He comments drly and emotionless. ser Criston? He always seemed like such a good man. Seemed being the key word. You vow to kill him. And Aemond will surely help you. You just know he would. For you.

Aemond pulls you in his arms again rubbing your back and sighing deeply. You break free. 'Punish him! Take his cloak away and take his head for this!' You shout at an crestfallen Aemond. He also looks helplessly but tries to hug you. To talk sense into you.

He smiles at you a bit. 'Your father said that Rhaenyra should be queen. That is treason, you know that. You are a smart girl.' He says.

It all falls together at once. The final puzzle piece. They are stealing her throne from her. 'She should be queen!' Aemond expression changes. 'You are stealing her throne. Father was right.' He took your fathers head for it. He can take yours for all you care.

'Lady Beespring; don't be stupid. We fancy you, me and my brother. But there are some lines even you cant cross.' They are usurping her throne. Your father probably defended the rightful queen and had to pay for that with his life.

Aemond sees your doubt and fear and smiles at you. 'We had such a fun good time together. Don't let this ruin everything we worked all so hard for.'

'Right,' you compose yourself. 'You are right. What's done is done.' You await your chance.

His thin lips are curled in a smile.

'That's our girl. Now, mother wants me to keep you close so you and I are going to my bedrooms-'

You take of running.

Aemond tackles you to the ground with a groan and rolls on top of you. You spit in his face and bite his hand when he wants to pull you up.

He is disgusted with your spit. 'So unladylike. One day without your daddy and you already become a wild untamed thing. Luckily for me and my brother: We love fucking wild little brats like you.'
