If you think about it, kinda impressive, how Sheva one of the first (Maybe the first) action game protagonists from South Africa.

I mean, it's better than an escort mission, at least Sheva is useful. *Stares at OG RE4 Ashley*. There's something about it that doesn't feel as good as RE0's, though. Or maybe I'm bias cuz I really loved RE0.

I'm more impressed with the fact that, for two games in a row, CapCom actually had the people of the Village that the game takes place in speaking their native languages.

Which once again means that I'm choosing to believe Ethan and Mia just know Romanian after living there for a couple of years, because that makes way more sense than everybody in this rural Romanian Village cut off from the outside speaking English for player convenience. (Which I'm also choosing to say explains the lack of accents.)

Malika did not want anyone to be significant to her. It'd cause too many problems. If she got too close to people, she'd start worrying about them. They'd be put at risk. She'd put herself at risk, too, just to protect them. They'd learn that not only was she a mess, she was a whole dumpster fire. She just wasn't comfortable with that kind of vulnerability.

But the traits that @dumb-hat and @kestrelvylbrand share that have pierced through her defenses are:

Adventurousness

Creativity

Mischievousness (particularly the criminal sort)

A remarkable capacity for overlooking all the ways she makes their lives more difficult

And the fact that they both have learned so much about her and accepted her for who she is instead of looking for ways to fix her.

Maybe that's too sappy.

In that case: Their being ridiculously sexy has been a real bonus too.
