Fourteen year old Tim teaches Young Justice about rationing food in an emergency. Except...Bruce hasn't taught him that yet.

Red Tornado praises his teaching abilities, stating that his lesson to the other kids had been both informative and practical. In fact, he'd assigned "homework" for the other Young Justice members to find and stock enough food for an emergency for a week.

Small problem.

Tim isn't slotted for that particular lesson until next week.

Bruce takes a step back.

Tim is always eager to learn, perhaps he'd just taught himself nutrition ahead of schedule and was sharing that lesson with his friends.

...Except his Robin's lesson hadn't involved emergency rations in the wild, just in an urban environment.

Bruce finds out rather early that Tim's parents are neglectful, and is very conflicted on how to deal with it.

He isn't in a good place mentally to adopt again.

But Tim cannot stay in that empty house.

You understand that what Clear Sky likes about this very young adult is that she "obeys" him, subjects herself to bad conditions, and tells him that she's soso loyal that she promises to never leave, yes? While holding up her 1 absolutely insignificant ""betrayal"" as morally equivalent to Clear Sky's murders, beatings, and starvations?

Played as a manipulation this would be interesting. But it's not. She is basically an 18 year old who thinks she's so awful she deserves a serial killer, while his mouth starts watering that his reward has finally come. In their second interaction.

It’s currently a fan theory as to why Alastor keeps Husk around, the theory being that Alastor simply likes cats, and spared Husk because his demon form was a cat. So to him Husk is essentially a pet, who he likes to have around to look at, not even to like most of the time (like any cat owner), just to be there, is all a cat owner asks of the cat.

Sure, but like. That’s not what Alastor does with Husk? He literally summons him to act as the barkeep/man the front desk of the hotel. Husk’s reaction to Alastor summoning him, and Mimzy’s comment about how Alastor still has him swinging hooch implies that it isn’t something too uncommon for him to do, but also not something he does everytime Alastor needs something to be done. And even then Alastor has to bribe him with alcohol to get Husk to agree with working at the hotel.

Alastor doesn’t treat him like a cat, he treats him like a reluctant employee. Husk even calls Alastor boss. Nothing about Alastor’s actions with Husk implies he thinks about Husk that way aside from that one interaction where Alastor is deliberately trying to get under Husk’s skin.

Personally, I believe Alastor keeps Husk around because 1) he’s useful, 2) Alastor’s said to have a weird moral code, and 3) Husk went to Alastor to make that deal, Alastor didn’t target Husk. And it probably happened sometime after he stopped hunting down overlords. It makes Husk interesting, I don’t think many people (overlords) would be desperate enough (or confident enough) to go to the dude who’s known for torturing and killing overlords and then broadcasting their dying screams to the rest of Hell for so much as disrespecting him, and expect to get a good deal out of him over just being killed.

the show def rekindled my love for annabeth so here's some stuff thats been floating 'round my head lately (which is surprising, since she's not my favorite character)

her adhd and intellect make her the slacker in the group project who gets things 100% right and done last minute. she is a procrastinator at heart, but she knows algebraic equations like the back of her hand. she forgets to turn in assignments but can write an advanced analytical essay within 5 minutes. she daydreams during class but aces the quiz the next day. she's the slacker who gets good grades, basically

def bi (or pan, idk). i can see her acknowledging her attraction to girls, but it never gets as far as a full blown crush, like the one she had on percy. mostly prefers men.

she's actually not a rule-follower: she despises rules and authority as much as percy, but the difference is that she's smart enough to keep her mouth shut and do things discreetly

she treasures her siblings at Camp Half-Blood; they're her only blood relatives that actually care about her well-being from the get-go. so in return, they get her unwavering loyalty and unstoppable devotion. if you mess with them, she will kick your ass.

she's def the type to hyperfixate on a certain franchise (harry potter, lord of the rings, mortal instruments, etc.) and in that short time period, she will grind out the most in-depth theories and headcanons you have ever seen

she's the stolls' consultant on april fools' pranks, and if she gets paid a few drachmas every year for it- well, what chiron doesn't know won't hurt him

has a soft spot for children; due to her own childhood, she never wants to make a child ever feel unwanted or unloved. that's why she was so nice to nico- she didn't want him to experience the same loneliness she had (even though he inevitably did feel lonely)

fell in love with books as a child not because her mother was the goddess of wisdom but because it provided an escape from her reality. when she read books, she could pretend she was the main protagonist, and that she wasn't a demigod who was always being hunted or a girl who'd been abandoned as a child

had an art phase as a child. she hyperfixated on sketching and ended up growing out of it, but she was glad for it when she started becoming interested in architecture. in fact, she utilized her old artistic knowledge when re-designing olympus.
