i was a queue monitor for a source blog for almost two years and it just really tiring even with working with other people because by the end people got busy/other commitments/stopped being interested etc. i remember a few times queueing up about a week worth of posts for like two hours (and everything had to be tagged which was why it took so long) my thumbs were begging me to stop lmao

a lot of fandom 'elders' or the people who did like gif-ing especially didn't see a lot of results for their labor. no one was reblogging their posts and the high like to rb ration compared to the past was a heavy blow because tumblr is a blogging based platform and rb's are the only way for posts to passed around (esp on older posts like from 2014-16) also a lot of the older creators are transitioning from school to full time work

theres also this death of interacting which each other in a casual way (unless you have an established following for that and ask games) like there are posts going around being like you can talk to me! send me questions! etc etc but no one is really doing that

in terms of fan content like everyone waits for the one big current thing to talk about like rn with dungeon meshi i feel like the last anime to pop off like on tumblr was spy family which was like two(?) years ago (the other animes dont' really pop their head [like sleeping giants lmao] or like keep in their contained circles but i might be nickpicking here) also new people coming in and not adapting to tumblr blog culture like is there even a source blog for dungeon meshi?

i had a fandom post that reached 3k 873 rb to 2127 likes, the majority of the people rb the post from me rather than a person they followed, there were only like two major rb chains which speaks volumes about the current follow culture here, everyone is going through the tags rather than following the creators

I knew about the like-reblog ratio problem but source blogs were created partly in order to encourage people to reblog stuff, so it’s sad to see that even they have fallen victims to this trend.

The Next Big Thing Syndrome (yeah, I’m calling it that) is also definitely a huge factor. I don’t think there are source blogs for DanMeshi, and you were the one who made me realize that. I’m baffled.

I also didn’t notice that the changes influx of followers and decreasing interactions were a thing for everyone. I honestly thought it was just me because I’d been on and off in unintentional semi-hiatuses last year. This is sad as hell.

ttb was a deep deep tinhat conspiracy theorist belonging to the kaylor subset, i mean i guess she was kind of into general gaylor conspiracy but she was primarily known for her kaylor stuff. she always claimed to have “sources” and anons who would send her “inside info” even though it was always something super vague and easy to construe. like ttb would be like “riddle anon said ‘roses are red, violets are blue’ 👀” and then 6 weeks later karlie would post an instagram story wearing a red t-shirt and ttb would be like “my sources always know 😏” and her followers would eat it up lmaoooo.

but aside from just being your usual tinhat that exists in every fandom, ttb was truly.. bizarre. a straight woman with a blog dedicated to meticulously piecing together ‘proof’ of a closeted lesbian relationship, the fact that she was straight was probably why she also thought taylor and karlie were fucking every single woman they knew. like she posed the theory that taylor was hooking up with halsey and later brie larson to make karlie jealous after she got (fake??) married?? she was also like, very antisemitic, anti blm, generally just a wretched person who bullied ppl, etc. apparently she disappeared in 2020 (i can’t confirm this because she has me blocked) and there’s probably a lot more that can be added to this . my friend says the video essay she sent is very well done, i’ll rb and link it in a sec in case u would like to see that

as someone who's gone through my archive already, you know i started out as a bts fan account in 2015. (my previous blog is not gonna be discussed for the simple reason that it's barely relevant to this one)

i believe i used to tag and organise my reblogs? there was a time where i cared enough and i loved srolling through my own blog, i stopped enjoying that when i became more involved w/ fandom on here and things weren't aesthetics based anymore. i don't like going through it that much now. i used to play around with themes, search for them, tweak colours and fonts for hours. after i returned years later there was an issue with the editor so now i can't change my theme at all and it sucks cause i just want to edit a few things.

so it started of as a bts fanblog, then i started rb-ing other kpop stuff, maybe afterwards i started sharing gifsets from movies and series i liked? as for fandom, i had a good amount of mutuals - accidentally became one with a girl from my country, we went out once and it was very nice <3 procrastinated and lost track fo tag games back then too lmaoo i felt a lot of dissatisfaction over it so i try to do everything now with my current fandom :)

back then is when i started reading fanfiction - i believe my first imagine was a taegi one where v was an artist and yoongi a photographer lol i stumbled upon it on the dash randomly and i got introduced to ao3 a bit after

iirc for the following years after i'd stopped stanning bts, i used to come back either relatively often or once in a blue moon - in the beginning i was just enjoying wtv my dash was offering me or seeking out specific stuff, then i started using it as a tracklist of what shows i've watched haha, no tags, just rb after finishing a show.

i started engaging with fandom around the release of episode 5 of kinnporsche, i read a bunch of posts on here, then tms2 came around and i got even more into reading people's takes..at some point i started talking to people i guess hahah i don't even know when i started trying to put out content, so to say, i just know i was doing screenshot posts short before i found myself pushed to attempt gifs and that was after big dragon had just finished airing.

then i started my giffing journey. had support from @gillianthecat whom i loved giffing paulnice for. honestly that and the discussions we had were such an important part of me having fun with this site and keeping it up. and @joyladagang, my self-proclaimed #1 hype woman, made me feel super welcome. then i got even more moots, at some point i started reaching out or actively reciprocating others attempts at getting closer (though i had been active in discussions before that, i just mean i got a bit braver and started acting more familiar with everyone (esp w/ ppl i got closer to through @joyladagang like @cankersoregirl, @feralmuskyscentedhoepran, @loserlesbianongsa etc.)

i'm grateful to a lot of people on here, truly. it's not supposed to be a shoutout post so i won't be tagging any more people (esp since i would have to tag everyone who follows me plus a bunch of people i follow which..it's a bit much) but i'm genuinely thankful for each person that enjoys my rants, gifs, theories or wtv the things i post classify as, whether they found a post by accident or follow the blog. and i'm grateful to the creators i follow, and i'm happy to talk to so many sweet, smart and funny individuals on various topics daily.

omg i am now Here. tbh i've been a part of the community for YEARS as a lurker, i've known about vore since 2019 LMAO- i used to lurk on DA and here for a loooong while. i feel like a little tiny veteran (to an extent.. ik there's people who have been here for way longer than me)

hi! I love your web weaving posts. how do you usually go about collecting stuff for a specific web weave? I usually just use two sources, but I want to weave together multiple sources and I don't want to just go on like. google image search. and be unable to find out who actually owns what I'm weaving. you know?

hii!!! first off THANK U SO MUCH!!! that means so much to me that people like my work ahh!! ;__; thank uu!! so! i believe ikwym!! i have been thinking very hard about how to respond to this one eheh bc tbh when i webweave i am. struck with a concept. and then i black out for three hours and suddenly i have a new post on tumblr under the webweaving + spn tags :'). (/j but tbh i rlly do not know how to explain my process coherently so hopefully this will suffice aksjnda<3)

some things that i do that might help!!:

so, first off, i follow a lot of like 'aesthetic' blogs and tags! so accs that post poetry with like, credit attributed to them, and i also follow photography accounts that post stuff w credit that i might use! this one can be kind of. particular! given what you typically want to weave webs abt eheh. i follow tags like nature for example bc a lot of people post stuff i might use in there! the best way id recommend scouting for these is like, if you were to look for perhaps dog photos, going through tags about nature, photography, dogs, canine photography, wildlife, etc. the tumblr acc antiqueanimals is one i rlly like for stuff like that! and then if you find one good blog just going through the accs they rb from, accs recommended that are like them, the tags they use, etc!

another thing! if i have a vague concept or even something i just might wanna expand on, i will write down somewhere (notes app, a private discord channel for keeping things in one place, a google doc etc whatever u wanna use!) keywords, lyrics, quotes, certain episodes of tv etc. they can be whatever really as long as they make sense to u!! i also tend to keep folders of various art (lyrics, quotes, poetry, drawings, photos) w their credit when they 'stick out' to me, and if i cant find the credit then usually saving whatever it is and then reverse image searching online can help really well too!! or searching keywords of the image that might stick out!

also for spn editors in particular!:

also this one is rather tedious however. sometimes i will go through like. the transcripts and just ctrl+f search phrases and stuff akjsnda. lots and lots of google searches w specific keywords however i feel like the link above probably eliminates that, i havent used it for a webweave yet but it looked cool! however the other method i use w the link below \/

Don't try to do petty discourse with me. This is mostly about queer microlabel shit or powerscaling leftist ideology. ❥ Has someone ever ruined an FC or character for you? Yes lmao. I’ve met a ton of nice and kind ppl on this site, but I’ve met equally as many nasty individuals who made me wanna personally kermit their face claim or portrayal of a character into the abyss. I still can’t look at some characters without remembering them and cringing. That said, these were mostly VERY very bad individuals and it hasn’t happened for a long time. I try to let prejudices towards fcs / characters go after a while cuz then it’s just me being petty.

I know drama both petty and serious still happens now-a-days too, but a few years ago it honestly felt like people were ONLY on tumblr for drama and fighting. Not to be mean but you only reblog art that is extremely done and with a lot of attention given to it. You rarely seem to give any attention to stuff out of your circle,, so I think you aren’t really the person to make that art psa post?

ur missing the point of my post i think? okay let me break it down to you: fandom, for me at least, is about making friends. you become friends when someone reaches out and talks to you or when you reach out and talk to someone. i have NEVER restricted anyone from talking to me. my dms are always open, meaning anyone can message me. i have asks open, anon on, so anyone can share any opinion they want with me, which you are doing right now, and they can potentially ‘befriend’ me and reveal who they are later, if they so choose. obviously, i control what asks get published on my blog, but that’s besides the point

the point is—am i obligated to answer every ask i receive? no. i have over 3,600 unanswered asks right now. i cannot possibly do that without destroying the dashes of everyone that follows me. and the point of my post is that no one is obligated to reblog anything from anyone BECAUSE people experience and curate their experiences differently. promoting better reblog culture and better fandom interactions is an extremely good thing. what i was hopefully getting across is that trying to pin that responsibility on any group/individual in any community is EXTREMELY counterproductive. it will get us nowhere

as for why i ‘rarely give attention to stuff outside my circle’ it’s very simple. i have Already curated my experience. i don’t look at posts in the tags. i don’t want my day ruined. i also cannot follow people who shit talk dream or george or quackity etc. and a bunch of other creators. idk how to tell you this but dteamblr is very small compared to other sectors of mcytblr. most of my mutuals/friends are people that actively post. or at least actively posted at some point that we were able to cross paths. the people i talk to a lot/the most i either don’t know their follower count or they told me for some reason and its anywhere from 50 to like a few thousand. so what do i do w my friends? i don’t really turn on notifications, but i do for a small handful. i promise you it’s very random and has nothing to do with follow count. i also don’t check my dash a lot. so if something is getting reblogged a lot, it increases my chances of seeing it, but even then… half the times i don’t see what my mutuals have been saying. most of the posts on my blog are my own posts or whatever i dump into my queue

which is my next point. i use the ‘stuff for you’ tab on the tumblr mobile app. that’s where i get most of the posts i queue. its like half fandom stuff half random shit. ik. its a SUPER scuffed ‘for you page’ but yes. i generally trust that tab to show me cool stuff. and often times what the algorithm decides is ‘for me’ are posts that already have a bunch of notes. so that’s the stuff i end up queuing. if my queue is running low, i go on there to queue a bunch of stuff and then i go. i mainly interact w my tumblr account through my friends and my activity page (that i have filtered so i see asks n replies n reblogs) so if i rb something my friend made, it’s because they sent it to me. anyone is welcome to send anything to me! but there’s no guarantee that i’ll reblog it because ultimately this is my blog and i decide what goes on it. i could ignore a piece of art w 5k notes. i could rb something w 100 notes. i can’t prove it to you because you don’t have access to how i browse, but i assure you i don’t look at art and go ‘well this only has x number of notes… not reblogging it then!’ like my blog isn’t my job i just do random shit here. im not gonna scour my dash and the tags head to toe for content. im sure im missing out on a ton of content but i simply do not have the time. i also make my own content so… i’m just gonna do what’s fun and easy for me. this is fandom. i’m not being paid to reblog your posts. you can if you want to! do you want to support a struggling student? my ko-fi is in my bio. does that horrify you? yeah exactly. fandom is for fun so while we can and should promote a supportive culture, no one is OBLIGATED to do anything

that’s… really all there is to it. i don’t have a vendetta against anyone. i promise you, if you dm me with a conversation topic in mind, i will HAPPILY engage in it with you, especially if it is a mutual interest. and if i am your friend, there is obviously a higher chance i will reblog your posts as compared to people i don’t know! i can’t speak for other people but that’s how i work. i’m not gonna reblog every piece of art or writing i see, and i assure you it has nothing to do with how ‘good’ i think something is. or how many notes it already has. hope this helps 👍🏻

also if i can make some closing thoughts… tumblr’s follower count is hidden. unless you’re telling me you go up to every account you see and hack in to find their follow count… you don’t know how much traction someone is actually getting? like over half my followers are inactive i promise you. our community is very small. i’m not making posts that break 1k left and right either. random stuff i do ‘for notes’ is genuinely just for fun. like have fun, don’t obsess over who is reblogging what, and talk about the things you like on your own blog.

Daryl Dixon x Reader

Summary: During a run, Daryl and you have to wait out a storm on a cabin.

N/A: I wrote this fluffy ficlet for @twdsunshine​​​ 3K followers celebration! Her fic “Late in the Day” was not only the very first Daryl fic I ever read, but also the first reader insert, and I loved that fic so much, I read it and read it a hundred of times before (and after!) I began writing my own.

You ran toward the small cabin, following Daryl, who turned his head to make sure you were behind him, reaching out a hand towards you that you grasped, the rain so strong that you could barely see anything. Daryl and you were on a quick run to bring some stuff back to the prison when a heavy storm had seemed to come out of nowhere, you hadn’t seen so much rain in years, getting completely drenched in seconds.  

You both reached the cabin, walking inside when Daryl unlocked the door, your damp clothes dripping water on the wooden floor. The place was small, one single room besides the tiny bathroom, and it didn’t seem too abandoned, there was a tattered sofa with a threadbare blanket on it, and in front of it a fireplace with a stack of wood near it, and even a couple of cans of soup on top of the counter.

“How did you know about this place?” You asked while you kicked off your soaked boots and socks.

“Found it a few weeks ago when I was hunting and had to hide from a herd of walkers, until they left,” Daryl answered while he locked the door and pushed a shelf against it for good measure. “Figured it could be useful for other times I went hunting.” He kicked off his boots and damp socks too, and he went to the fireplace to start building up a fire.  

“You were lucky you found this, then…” You sighed, you hated it when Daryl went out to hunt alone, afraid of him getting hurt either by people or walkers, and to know that he’d been, in fact, trapped by a herd of walkers didn’t help to ease your peace of mind. Probably the reason why Daryl hadn’t told you about it before.

You looked at him, his long, wet hair was stuck to his face, same than yours…he looked good like that, though, and you stared at him for a moment before going to help him with the fire.  Once you had it going, Daryl placed a couple of chairs near it, and he took off his soaked poncho, draping it over the chair to dry it, and you did your same with your coat. Your shirt was a bit wet too, but not as much as your coat, while it seemed that Daryl’s poncho and his leather jacket had protected him from the worst of the rain.

The hem of your trousers was soaked, the water spreading up almost to your knees, the wet fabric clinging to your skin, and you had always hated that uncomfortable feeling. You wiggled your leg with dissatisfaction, droplets of water flying from your jeans, before you decided to just take them off.

Daryl looked at you to see what you were doing when he heard you fighting with your clothes, and he looked away, shy, when you shimmied off your damp jeans. You smirked, it wasn’t the first time that Daryl saw you without trousers on, but he still got so bashful, you found it adorable. You left your jeans near the fire to dry and rushed to sit down on the sofa, which was close enough to the fire to feel its warmth, and you covered your naked and slightly wet legs with the blanket.

Daryl looked at you, a soft, half-smile on his face as he looked at you snuggling with the blanket. He took the poncho from the chair and you wondered what he was doing as he approached you, and you turned your head to look at him as he walked around the sofa. He fumbled with the poncho, grabbing one of the inner, less wet layers, and then he brought it to your hair, squeezing it to dry it a bit, so at least it wouldn’t be dripping. It wasn’t a towel, and the poncho was wet anyway, but it helped a bit.

You hadn’t expected that, and you felt some twirls in your belly at the gesture as you gave Daryl a grateful, fond smile. Daryl didn’t say anything, a half-smile tugging at his lips, and he kept squeezing your hair. Once it wasn’t dripping water, you took Daryl’s hand, making him walk around the sofa to stop in front of you, pushing at him to squat down, and taking the poncho from his hands.

“Now you…” You brought the wet material to the ends of his hair, squeezing it as best as possible, and then you ran your fingers through his hair, pushing it away from its face. “Done.”

Daryl gave you a soft smile, taking the poncho from your hands and placing it over the chair to dry again.

“You should take off your trousers and put them to dry too, like me, you know?” You arched your eyebrows at him. “You’ll get cold…and I’m not letting you sit down here with those wet trousers, you’ll damp the blanket.”

Daryl smirked, arching an eyebrow at you. “You’re just trying to get me naked,” he teased even though he still seemed shy.

“But of course! By all means, take it all off, less you catch a cold…” You looked him up and down as you teased him back, smiling when Daryl blushed, looking away as he tried to hide his face with his wet hair. How could he be so adorable.

Daryl shook his head and huffed, and he went to pick one of the cans of soup, opening it and pouring it into a pot that he carefully heated over the fire, pouring it into a bowl once it was warm. As he got up from the floor next to the fireplace, Daryl tugged at his wet trousers, which were clinging to his legs like yours had, seeming uncomfortable. He glanced at you and finally he followed your example, pulling off his trousers and leaving them to dry on a chair, and you tried to stop yourself from staring at him as he walked towards you with the bowl of soup.

Daryl sat down next to you on the small sofa, and you reached the blanket to cover his naked legs too, mindful of the bowl of soup, that he gave you once you finished fumbling with the blanket. You smiled as the bowl warmed your hands and you let out a content hum as you took a couple of sips before giving it back to Daryl, and you both passed the bowl back and forth until you finished the soup.

You left the emptied bowl on the floor and turned to look at Daryl, smiling softly and reaching out brush his hair away from his face again before leaning closer to kiss his lips, and Daryl gave you that shy, half-smile that you adored. Neither of you had put a name to what you were, to your relationship, but you knew that you loved Daryl, probably more than you had ever loved anyone else, and you knew that you had gotten lucky enough that he loved you too, and he might not be the best at putting that into words, but he was getting pretty good at showing it…though truth be told, he only had to give you that smile to make your heart flutter.

Suddenly, you heard the loud noise of thunder from outside, startling you and making you jump, and you saw lighting outside the cabin…that must be close… The storm had reached you on full force, and you gasped again at more lighting and the loud thunder, startling you enough to flinch when Daryl touched your arm, and you looked at him when you realized it, eyes wide and scared.

“Are you afraid of storms” Daryl arched an eyebrow. “Really?”

You shrugged, embarrassed. “Not of storms…lighting…those things are dangerous…” You admitted quietly.

“We are safe here…” Daryl reached out to caress your arm, comforting, and you were glad that he wasn’t teasing you or making fun, but you could help but jump a bit again at another lightning.

“I wouldn’t be so sure…” You shuddered. “My best friend told me that a lighting once went through his uncle’s tv and to him…”

“Seriously?” Daryl arched his brow and you shrugged. “Well…there ain’t TVs here…” That was true, but you were afraid anyway, and Daryl knew it. “Come here,” he told you softly, tugging at you.

You didn’t need to be told twice, scooting closer until you were sat on his lap, snuggling to his chest as Daryl placed the blanket around you both, and then wrapped his arms around you, holding to him and kissing the top of your head. You smiled to him, grateful, and pecked his lips before snuggling to him again, hiding your face on the crook of his shoulder so you wouldn’t see the lighting, and trying to ignore the thunder. It was easier with Daryl holding you tight to him and his comforting warmth, making you feel safe, knowing that he’d protect you against anything, whether it was walkers, people, or lighting.

understand this: i hate a lot of stuff in general fandom 😔 pretty much why i hardly follow anybody, and every blog i currently follow will be inactive and i’ll have a non-moving dash before i subject myself to following anybody who rbs blacklisted stuff or interacts with users i want to be as far away from as possible

BUT!!!

lately i’ve really REALLY grown to loathe the “OH WOW WE HAVE A CRAZY IDEAAAA! We’ve never managed anything in our lives but let’s gather up a bunch of users to create a HUGE AMBITIOUS FAN PROJECT!!! IT’LL BE SOOO COOL BECAUSE it’S REALLY COOL in our minds!! Spread the word!!! Hype it up!! It’ll be out so soon and be SO BIG AND IMPORTANTTT we’re just so excited— what’s that? You wanna know what it is? Oh we haven’t written it yet” type shit

Like i get it. Big ideas. Doing big things. Everyone wants to do it. Ya wanna make something as grand as what’s in your head or w/e and sheer ambition and zeal pushes you to throw everything at the wall at once. ALREADY WRANGLING UP USERS, Already setting up blogs!! Patreons!! Dont forget that yt channel!! Ads in discord!! HYPE IT UP FELLAS!! It’s gonna be the greatest fan project of all time—!!

all for what? an idea that still hasn’t left the mere conception phase. Just an idea. A promise of something supposedly cool. So many of these godforsaken “projects” are abandoned before they even start all because the people involved usually never have managed a large scale media project before with a bunch of people, dont understand the undertaking they’re going for, or have no idea wtf pre-production is. Ideas are cheap.

So. Freaking. Cheap.

After a while of seeing so many of these “”big projects”” get announced the instant they’re conceived, then within months of utter silence, no progress, no communication, they are cancelled before anything has even begun (oh excuse me, “hiatus” as some will say- u dont wanna disappoint anybody by admitting that it’s dead in the water huh). And im like HMMMM GEE I WONDER WHY!!

And the ones that actually get further along in some way mostly fall into that trap of sucking gullible people dry out of their money, pocketing it, then constantly making promises only to turn around and beg for more fan-content of their vanity project that still hasn’t even come out yet because lo and behold; nobody on board understands pre-production or how management works. Oh wow!! You have a large scale project yet progress is slow cuz you dont have enough recruits? WOW! It’s almost as if this undertaking was severely underestimated and u were weighing this purely on how cool it would be hypothetically and not the workload involved! Most if not all large scale projects (fan or otherwise) are like, 75% under the table pre-production. The rest is the execution itself. So many of these projects die because of all I’ve said, + unexpected turns, or straight up over-ambition

i get it this happens and it’s never going to let up and i can’t stop people from doing stuff like this. Im always gonna see it. But given how often i’ve been attempted to be recruited for these sort of things for a myriad of reasons I can see the red flags instantly and the cracks in the foundation already

just. man. There’s nothing wrong with having something smaller scale. Have your ambition or w/e, it can still be GOOD. But my god if you’ve never attempted something before dont go BALLS IN right away,,, These are tumblr users. Mostly teenagers and young adult hobbyists whose only major interest is what? plushies and cartoons? Not a 100 person team of experienced professionals in their respective fields putting together a production and backed by investors

let's dig into this a little bit (i hope you don't mind) because i actually have some very conflicted thoughts on this.

student/sensei ships make me deeply uncomfortable, as i've said. that's a period. full stop. i do not care what age they are; they met when one person was a fully matured adult and the other was a child. that's gonna be a hard pass for me, regardless.

what i will say is, depending on who this is, i might actually already know your identity because i know i interact with a few people who ship at least one of these things on a semi-regular basis. it's almost unavoidable in this fandom, which is probably why i spent a decade just not interacting with a single other soul in the naruto community, lol.

in the end, i do fully agree that people should be allowed to ship what they want. these are make-believe, 2-dimensional characters from a cartoon. i get that. so it's on me to make sure i'm not interacting with content that makes me uncomfortable.

to do that, before i follow anyone (or follow them back), i scroll through their blog for posts related to these ships. if i see even one, i will not follow. (this goes for ao3 accounts, too; if your bookmarks are public, i will look at them and make my decision based on that information.) same for fanart; i won't even rb stuff if i know the person who creates it ships one of these things simply because i want to keep it as far out of my orbit as possible.

because based on my own personal history & experiences, these things can really upturn my entire day. even seeing the ship name sends this visceral reaction through my body (oh, hey my mostly ignored ptsd, nice to see you again!).

as such, i will often block on sight blogs that are recommended to me by tumblr's lame-ass algorithm if they are blogs dedicated to these types of ships and have zero remorse about it. i also recently blocked someone who writes solely for one of these ships because they reblogged some of my content. i felt really badly about it for, like, an entire night. i don't like blocking people. i don't enjoy that these things have such a measurable impact on my well-being.

but we each have to decide where our comforts and discomforts lie and prioritize that. because if we don't, who tf else will?

so what i am going to say is: if you keep that shit off my blog, we can probably be cool for the most part. i'm never gonna follow your, and i hope you will understand and respect that decision.

but as i said in that recent post, if anyone who i know ships one of these things spreads any team 7-specific content i have created, that's a hard no. you want to reblog my smutty kakashi/reader fics? that's fine. (unless someone were to tag it with a ship name in which case, like, why? there is so much content for those ships everywhere, please leave me out of it.)

just, please, understand there are reasons these ships are so upsetting to me. just as i'd never push anyone to accept something i shipped & they didn't, and i would never expect anyone who is uncomfortable with reader-insert smut to interact with my page, i hope others will see where i'm coming from even if we disagree on ships.

Why did you start your blog in the first place?

I really wanted to talk about BNHA and Hawks with other people after stalking the tags for a bit. I was never "involved" in fandoms on social media, only forums, so this was a new thing for me.

This is by @lemongogo! I just wanted Hawks and Trans flag. Simple, gets to the point, yanno?

Why did you choose your header?

so on the 'main header', it's just a pretty image of Keigo. On the dashboard header, it's basically how I feel most of the time when I make my more inflammatory posts because I've had like.... hero stans, hawks stans, and villain stans upset with so frequently that it felt good to make a joke about it.

I lose a lot frequently so often for weeks I'll have a very steady number. Like I get several follows and unfollows a day. Currently it's sitting at 3150-ish, not as many as people think.

338. I want to follow more but I'm careful about who I follow since I just don't want to see certain things or rbs from certain people especially. Yes, I xkit and tumblr savior, but sometimes certain usernames on here just honestly trigger anxiety attacks from me.

Did you have a fight/argument with another blog once?

Too many. Some I feel were justified in having due to the...frankly disgusting actions of the people behind them. And some I think I could have let go, not gonna lie. I still clearly have very firm beliefs about things, but I was also in a place where I was very much trying to please my former best friend by following her lead or just being just as quick to argue and fight as she was, with little room for nuance or just letting go.

As much as it hurts that the friendship is over, honestly letting her go was probably one of the best things I could have done for my mental health. Sometimes I feel as if I was in some sort of cult where my every move was evaluated for moral righteousness and approval by someone who ultimately didn't know how to care about me as much as I cared for her.

A few months after I ended stuff last year, I came across a tweet from Contrapoints about how "women" show their bitterness and isolation by moral fanaticism, as opposed to cis men, who usually resort to violence (context was a discussion of incel-led violence) and it made me realize just what had been happening and why.

The constant fights, discourse, need for every iota of fandom activities align with some moral radical leftist code that had genuinely nothing to do with actual fucking activism - it was a product of bitter, angry women and someone who was socialized as a woman seeking to find whatever piece of power they could have since the world so often denies people like us any material power whatsoever. And that's not...who I want to be. I don't want to be domineering or aggressive. Even if I don't mind arguing itself (I'm Ashke, we argue!), the constant fights and constant feeling of having to justify even the smallest, silliest things wore me down.

In short, I was probably an incredibly unpleasant person to deal with for a long time. I'm sorry, and I'm trying to change myself for the better.

Yeah. Two of them. I don't say anything though because I'm tired of internet relationships and am trying to meet people in meatspace.
