“Oh what the fuck-” It was supposed to be a quiet night- no breakouts in Arkham and for once the asylum is actually full of most of their rogues. And the others were already taking care of Scarecrow and Penguin was- as far as he knew- doing legal things at the lounge at the time. So somebody tell him why there’s this giant… thing that could give Grundy a run for his money in should be dead a thousand times over was pulling itself out of a sewer tunnel. Like seriously, he can see the blood and infection and whatever else dripping from honestly filthy bandages all on its arms that look a hint too long the more he looks through the binoculars, and it’s glowing this sickly green that reminds him way too much like the Pits. That isn’t even getting started on the mouth- the only part visible of their face due to the wild mane of what might be white hair but was hard to tell under the amount of blood- that stretched far too wide. He even swore he could see fangs! Not to mention the cloak that he wants to say is a knockoff of B’s, but honestly he can swear he sees it moving, twisting like lashing tails of shadow, or like Ivy’s vines. Its hands are long and gnarled, tipped in claws that dig into the concrete as it pushes itself to a frankly horrifying height. And oh fuck, not only did it have some sort of giant sword, but there was a small child sitting on its shoulder without any sign of realizing the danger they were in-

Danny is having fun, his ghost-mom Amity is out on a date with another city spirit, Mr Bludhaven- so he gets to hang out with grandma? grandpa? (honestly who has time for gender when there’s curses to beat back!) Gotham! It would perhaps be better if he wasn’t unknowingly making said city spirit visible to those who aren’t death-touched or liminal… Oh well!

Reece, darling, I don't think you fully understand how much I needed this. After the last few days, I honestly feel like this is just what my poor little brain needed. I'm sorry I'm taking so long with all the other goodies you sent me. I'm making something fluffy now with this.

Gyutaro tries to be a gentleman like he's seen with the humans, trying to treat you the way he felt you should be, which was like royalty. He knew he wasn't much, or at least he felt that way, but he had given you his heart, and you gave him yours in return and he had to ensure that he cared for it with the upmost importance. He would only discard your heart if you became a threat to him and his sister. Which is why a mix of frustration and guilt bubbled away in his chest. Gyutaro had decided to try his hand at being more romantic, greeting you when you stepped out of your work room to the private area that he and Daki had made within the Kyogoku house. "Welcome back, little star." Gyutaro crooned, a lazy Cheshire smile on his features as he took your much smaller hand in his. He held it for a moment as you chirped your greetings back to your love, the Upper Moon distracted by how tiny and soft your hand felt in his. Such puny fingers slotting against his own calloused hands, filling the spaces between his own fingers in a cute and clumsy yet still perfect manner. His gaze softened further, smile smoothing at the edges as he moved his attention to your face, your eyes granting the warmth he had always craved for all his years of living. You felt like home. He couldn't stall any longer, the moment felt to perfect to waste on more pointless words. Gyutaro was never really for pretty words anyways, actions always rang louder for him. He tugged you closer by accident as he raised your hand to his lips, pressing a loving kiss to your knuckles- "Ow-!" He froze, eyes going wide as your soft yelp registered in his mind. You looked slightly pained, yet didn't shove him away. The demon frowned as his eyes flicked to your hand, the sight of little dots of blood greeting him. "M'sorry, little star, didn't mean to hurt ya." He grumbled, instinctively pressing more kisses to the wound. He had told you he liked when you kissed where his wounds were whenever he got hurt, despite the regeneration, and he wanted to return the favor to you. You always did say he gave you the best kisses of your life. Gyutaro unwittingly added more damage to your skin, trying to kiss the pain away but only making you whimper. He pulled away with a growl, to which you sprung into action, seeing his frustration coming to a boil. "Gyu, sweetie, it's okay." You cooed, his attention flicking to you instantly. "Why don't we go bandage up my hand, yeah? You can help me with that, right?" Gyutaro nodded, but refused to let your hand go, deciding to skip the bandaging and simply utilize his abilities. Slowly sliding his thumb over your now marred, petal soft skin, the injuries faded, amazing you.

He felt disappointed at his failed attempt, something you noticed immediately. Running your free hand down his arm, you trailed your touch to his other hand, the Upper Moon eying you curiously. Taking his hefty hand in yours, you brought it to your own lips, planting one of your infamously tender kisses to his cold skin. His heart leapt to his throat, face heating up at your gesture. He felt a tinge of jealousy in himself too, wishing he could be as smooth with his idea of romance as you were, and yet, you always managed to reduce such thoughts to dust. "I love you Gyutaro, and it was really sweet of you to kiss my hand." You spoke softly, looking up at him like he had hung the moon and stars. In your opinion, who didn't need them since you consider him to be your night sky. "You're always so sweet and romantic, constantly trying to look out for me and make sure I'm happy. I love you for that." Gyutaro felt himself melting under your honeyed words, his soft smile and loving gaze returning to his sharp features as he leaned further into your space. "I love you too, little star. You always know just what to say to me, what I need to hear, not what I want to, what I expect to. You truly are a star from the sky, love." He crooned, making your own smile widen as you stood on your toes to press a love infused kiss to his chapped lips, the gesture being returned instantly. This time, he made sure to really watch his teeth.

So my roommate is also into One Piece. I’m not sure if he’s watched any of the anime, I know for sure he’s watched the live action, but earlier tonight he came upstairs and watched a few episodes with me while waiting for a food delivery, and then he got hooked, and then he sat and watched MORE episodes with me without really knowing what was going on. But it was still wildly entertaining to him, esp since I’m right in the middle of one of the (arguably) best arcs rn, and now he wants to finish the arc with me LOL. Bruce should kill the Joker because he created the Joker. Batman is the one that chased him into ace chemicals which resulted in him falling into the acid and the Joker is obsessed with Batman. We’ve seen (at least in one DC movie) that the Joker just stops being the Joker when Bruce dies. Could this all have happened without Batman? Yes and then it would be someone else’s problem but right now Joker is a monster of Batman’s creation and he should be the one to end him.

On your same logic should it also be on Joker's parents since they also created him, or maybe on the government / social systems since they were the ones that failed joker to begin with and made him turn to a life of crime ? If anyone has the legal right in America to kill the joker it would be the criminal justice system so why dont they sentence joker to death? Bruce hands joker off to the local authorities every other week shouldnt it be their responsibility at that point to keep joker incarcerated until he can be deemed no longer a threat to himself and others? And just bc one dc movie said joker would stop after Bruce dies doesn't mean that always happens especially with how dc keeps insisting there are multiple jokers- does Bruce have to kill all the jokers or just the one he personally spooked off the side of a platform by accident? I don't totally think you can blame Bruce for joker being as insane as he is since harley took the same dip and she still redeemable, and I don't think it should be on Bruce to compromise his morals just to kill a clown that literally several other people can kill - and I know " "ohh but Bruce gets in the way" then don't tell batman about it don't invite batman to your execution of the joker don't let him find out when Bruce's no kill rule is at its maximum (bc writers can't decide how extreme it should be) he can't let anyone die if he knows about it so just be sneaky and don't let him know

Let it be known that I love writing fluff, and I listen to character audios sometimes. SO! I came up with a cute idea for sagau imposter au. I heard somewhere that Xiao's adeptus form is a bird, so I wonder, what kind of bird? And that got me thinking. Xiao being a little song bird, or perhaps even a cardinal.

Now imagine: while looking for the imposter, Xiao stumbles upon them sitting beneath a tree, just feeding some birds. Said birds are absolutely loving the attention since the creator of Teyvat is giving them food and love!

Xiao watches, rather curious. The creator he knows hates birds, because they always dive and cause problems for them. But now... these little birds have completely abandoned any fear they may hold for human beings, happily landing on the hands and shoulders of this supposed imposter.

So he decides to test something.

Xiao turns into a small bird and approaches cautiously. In his smaller form, he's vulnerable to attack. But the person before him doesn't try to hurt him. Rather, they smile and call him "little friend" as they offer food to him. In his distrust, he bites them with his sharp beak.

His heart shatters when he sees divine blood spilling from the wound.

He's about to fly away, get as far away from here as he can. He found the true creator, and instead of worshipping them, he bit them! He caused them to bleed, he shouldn't even be near them-!

His mind stills when they pet his feathered head.

They murmur kind words to him, apologizing to him. They believed that they had startled him, that he bit to protect himself. They forgave him, they felt no hatred towards him, no anger or disappointment. Instead, they offered some chopped almonds, hoping he'd prefer that over bird seed.

He sang for them as he perched on their shoulder.

After that, he did his best to secretly protect the creator he'd harmed. He would adopt his smaller form and sing for them when they felt sad, and he'd use his human form to guard them from a distance. Yes, it made his chest ache whenever they looked at him with fear when they saw his more human form, but the yaksha only shook it off. It only made sense that you'd be scared. He was a frightening person, one that had tried to harm you before. He refused to try and change your feelings towards him. He didn't have the right.

He would be content to sing for you as a harmless bird.

xiao hovering near the edge of the crowd, at first, drawing your attention since he doesn’t seem to be eating any of the seed you’d passed out.

when he finally hops within arms reach, you reach to nudge some of the food next to him closer, only to quickly whip your hand back. the birds around (on) you all flutter at the sudden movement, but you inspect your finger, the blue blood of teyvat welling up. your instinct is to stick it in your mouth, but that doesn’t seem safe considering a bird bit it, so you dab at it with a napkin.

the bird cries and flaps his wings, distraught, and your heart hurts. poor guy, you probably scared him, moving so quickly.

you pull out some chopped almonds from your pocket. the plan was to have them as a snack, but now… you put a few in your palm and close your hand around it, reaching forward to gently run two fingers over the birds back.

the other birds in the area seemed receptive to that, and this one does too, calming down considerably.

you take your hand back, opening your palm to drop the almonds on the floor, nudging them close before backing off.

“there you go,” you murmur, as the bird dips down to inspect the food. “i won’t hurt you.”

you allow yourself a silent cheer when it eats one of the almond pieces.

you see the small bird fluttering around you often, always on the edge of your vision. it’s easy to identify, the purple patch of feathers on its forehead easily standing out, and you’re always certain to push some food over to it. almonds, not birdseed.

the bird is a dark blue-teal, the underside of its wings a softer blue. it’s like no other bird you’ve seen in liyue, something that quickly catches your attention.

you brush some dirt off you as you stand, noting the way the bird immediately looks up from its food, unlike the others, to flap up into the tree you were sitting under.

you crack a smile, carefully reaching a finger for it. you’re slower this time, cautious of its skittish nature, but it lets you approach. when you carefully pet over its head, the birds eyes close.

your smile grows, and you try not to laugh at how confused the bird seems when you pull your hand away.

“i have to go,” you explain. “the millelith… they’re getting too close again. i won’t be able to see you again, little friend.”

the bird chirps, nearly indignant, and you do laugh this time. putting a small piece of almond on the branch in front of it, you wave goodbye to the other birds, seeing the blue one hadn’t touched the almond.

you frown. hopefully it’ll be alright….

xiao watches you until you’re out of sight, and even then, he stays on the branch.

you…. he’d forgotten you were being hunted by the millelith. he’d forgotten the order to look out for you. he’d forgotten the qixing called you a criminal.

who could blame him? it was easy to forget everything at your side, when you carefully ran your fingers over his feathers, scratching at his jaw with the edge of your nail. yes, he was vulnerable as a bird, but it was easy to be vulnerable with you. it was easy to be open, to sing as best he could in this form, to allow himself close enough to see the way your eyes lit up whenever another bird landed on your outstretched finger.

xiao dropped to the ground, morphing back into his human form. predictably, the birds cawed and flew away quickly. he watched them go, his mind contrasting it with how readily they flocked to you.

you…

he turned to the branch he was on, to the small almond piece left behind. the small symbol of your care, of how you recognized that he didn’t touch the birdseed and instead offered him your own food to eat. normally he wouldn’t lower himself to eating off the ground at all, let along bird food, but almonds weren’t awful and you seemed so happy when he ate..

xiao looked back to where you’d gone, to the sandbearer trees swaying in a soft wind.

he allowed his form to fall away and spread his wings, taking flight on the same breeze that urged you along.

perhaps he’d forget his orders for a little while longer, if it meant he could spend that time with you.

#i still have to work there bc i've got a one-month notice period. but i did it!!! #the conversation with my boss went well! she was really nice and supportive #she said she was worried about me bc she could tell i was struggling. and that she understands my decision #and in case i won't find a new job this month they can extend my contract #i cried a lot 😭 #and now i'm terrified and sad bc i really love some of my coworkers and i don't want to leave them #but at the same time i'm SO relieved. i feel like i will be able to sleep well tonight. for the first time in weeks #k.txt #also sorry guys i've been mia. and sorry for not answerings your messages #but between working full time searching for a new job doing final assignments for uni and crying. i honestly don't have any energy left #i only logged in to tell you the big news :') and now i'm back to my assignment :( see ya in a week when my exam hell is over

the new girl at one of my favorite bakeries called me pretty this morning and it literally melted all my stress away 🥺

#kai.rambles #i was feeling sad bc my grandma is in the hospital and when i went to visit her they wouldn’t let me pass bc my license is expired #which okay ik that’s my fault but i took my passport with me just in case and the guy straight up told me that it wasn’t a valid form of id #and im like yeah tf it is ITS A PASSPORT and he said no #and while i was waiting for my mom to come down to the lobby an old lady came in and he turned her away for the same thing #and dudeee okay you turn me away fine fuck off but an old ladyyy??? at that age they don’t pay attention to that just let her pass #and then he argued with another woman bc she brought a flower arrangement and it had water so he couldn’t allow it HELLOOO??!? #so i had to leave and went to go get breakfast for my mom at least bc she stayed the night and i was supposed to stay the day #and when i came back to give her the food she told me that the nurse that was with my grandma asked what happened bc she wasn’t expecting #my mom to return and when my mom told her she immediately got so angry bc that same guy #didn’t allow her and a couple other nurses to bring in a cake for one of the residents #who’s birthday is today and they had a full on argument this morning #so it was all in all awful and now my mom has been there for more than 20 hours until later tonight when my aunt goes over :( #anyway this turned into a whole rant im sorry but im so mad bc i know for a FACT that a passport is a valid form of id #and he was just being a fkn dick #but the girl called me pretty and it took some stress off and she really liked my blush #and i liked hers so we had a little makeup 101 exchange and it was so nice at least 🥺 #and i have a couple cute asks to answer that have made my day as well so i’ll get to those in a few 🥰

This is just a very silly little coincidence, but. When I got Taliesin's autograph at NYCC and he saw my name, he went "Leo!! Oh, nice." And it made me so ridiculously happy and full of gender euphoria to hear he liked the name I happened to pick. And now finding out that he's playing a new character named Leo just makes me so ridiculously happy,, it just makes me smile that he likes the name too :'))
