We NEED to talk more about Neil's escape from Columbia because I don't think anyone's fully appreciating just how unhinged it really was. Neil really hiked six miles along the freeway in the South Carolina summer heat, face bruised from being knocked out cold dressed like a homeless person carrying a big ass duffle bag and started strolling up to truck drivers like, "Hello there! I'm just a regular sociology student interviewing long haul truck drivers to learn about their culture! Would you allow me to interview you while you drive to your next stop?" And then he did in fact interview a truck driver AND take full notes like he was really doing a presentation on it. That is FERAL

AU where Leo is trapped in the Prison Dimension for months instead of minutes and the only way he gets by with his sanity intact is through recording himself talking to his wrist comm.

When they finally manage to get Leo back and make him rest up to heal, Donnie can’t help but listen to the recordings left behind.

He’s not sure what exactly he’s expecting, only that his subconscious is screaming at him that it has to be heartbreaking, that it has to be torturous.

Instead, what Donnie is subject to is a full thousand hours’ worth of Jupiter Jim and Lou Jitsu crossover fanfiction. More than one part in the series. Spanning well over a million words.

(The worst part is that it’s actually good.)

dude was in a gang (and was friendly) with black and native american people at a time where racism was still generally the rule rather than the exception. He enthusiastically participated in a women's suffrage protest! His whole fucking set of ideals was about standing up for freedom against the encroaching spread of 'civilised society,' where laws would discriminate against those they deemed 'unfit,' like arthur and his gang, like black and native american people, like women, and Obviously - though the modern terminology obviously wouldn't have existed at that time - like gay and trans people.

His whole thing was about living life as you saw fit, without The Man holding you down! Yeah sure he'd probably make some tasteless jokes here and there, he's certainly not a saint, but outright homophobic or transphobic? not a fucking chance!
