Flightless Bird | four | Bradley Rooster Bradshaw X OC
Synopsis: Josephine Wilson Miller is alone for the first time in her life. She got married after her first year of college and became a housewife, but that life is gone now. So she runs to San Diego, to her childhood best friend Jake, where she meets the man who could very well be her salvation.
series warnings: unplanned pregnancy, just pregnancy in general, talks of infertility. past mental and emotional abuse. anxiety. talks of women's reproductive systems (idk)

“You need to eat something,” Jake told Josephine less then ten minutes after she walked back into the house, “I made my mom’s old chicken broth.”
“Is it a peace offering?”
“No, that would be the cookies in the oven,” He said softly, “But for the record, Jose, I really am sorry. I crossed a line, well I crossed a few actually.”
“Yeah you did,” She replied, slowly taking a seat at the small kitchen table.
Her feet were starting to hurt. She was sure they were starting to swell too. The first of many things that would change over the next couple of months. She wondered just how many things would change.
“Nice and warm,” Jake set down a bowl of broth in front of her, “I even called my mom to have her talk me through everything, didn’t tell her exactly why though.”
“Thank you.”
For more than just the broth, Jake knew that. There were some things that just didn’t need to be said between the two. They always seemed to have a deeper understanding of one another, it always annoyed their other friends during their school years.
“Just eat up, will you? No way in hell you’ll be malnourished while you’re under my roof,” There was a hint of humor, but a lot more love.
Some of the few people they were still friends with from high school always found it weird that Jose and Jake went from fucking like bunnies their junior and senior year, to somehow loving one another like family. There was nothing romantic left between them, not an ounce of attraction like that. But for Jose and Jake, it felt like the most natural thing in the world. They trusted one another, that’s why they loved the way they did in high school. Because they trusted one another, they could love the way they did now.
“Think we should probably leave out the fact we used to date,” Jose shrugged, “I’ll already hear enough from Michael when it comes to the divorce, don’t need your friends here judgin me too.”
He nodded slowly in agreement, “I mean, Phoenix knows. She laughed her ass off for a while, actually. I could handle all of the shit jokes from the guys, but I don’t want that for you. Some things are better left in the closet.”
“Cheers to that,” She took a small spoon full of the broth, “How much does she know about us?”
“Just about everything, aside from all of the details about your situation,” Jake answered, “As promised, that stays between us until you say otherwise. You call the shots.”
“I feel like you’re waiting to shout from the rooftops,” She rolled her eyes.
“I’m just being excited for you until you can be excited for yourself,” He shrugged, “I mean, remember the stupid parenting project we did our senior year? I would’ve failed if you weren’t so amazing. That baby is pretty damn lucky to have you as a mother.”
“You and I both know this isn’t an ideal situation, so don’t try to make me feel any better,” She sighed, “But you were right when you said I can’t admit it. Because then it becomes something I could lose, and I didn’t even know this was possible until that stupid test came back positive. I took five more just to be sure. If I say it, then I have to really care, and if I care it’ll ruin me if something happens.”
“When is your first appointment here?”
“End of the week. My doctor from New York set it up, it’s an old colleague of hers. I’m supposed to go twice as often as a normal patient with my…condition. I’m more than high risk.”
“We’ll figure it out,” Jake assured her, “You aren’t alone anymore.”
She nodded slowly, eating more of the broth. She liked the feeling of the warmth in her empty stomach. It reminded her of cold winter days spent at Jake’s childhood home. His dad might’ve been an ass, but his mother was the warmest most loving person Josephine ever met.
“This is really good, by the way. You did good.”
“Oh thank fuck,” He sunk down in the chair across from her, “I was shitting a brink the whole time, thinking I was gonna fuck it all up.”
“You didn’t, I promise.”
“Good, because I accidentally made a shit ton,” He admitted.
“Well, lucky for you, I have your mom’s actual soup recipes saved in my phone. Plus, I don’t need step by step instructions,” She joked, poking his shoulder, “Really though, I can’t thank you enough Jake. I mean it.”
“Well, you don’t need to thank me, as long as I’m the godfather,” He shrugged, “I’m only half joking.”
“We can talk about it later.”
A week later, Jake was out with Phoenix while Jose was setting up the guest room. Though, Jake swore the room was now Josephine’s. She wasn’t going to stay there forever, so it wasn’t her room. Just a space she was occupying for a little while.
She glanced out of her window to see Bradley, or Rooster whatever he really wanted to be called, walking towards the house. She glanced down at herself quickly, she could potentially start to somewhat show any day now, according to her doctor. Though, she supposed to anyone that didn’t know her she would just look bloated. The heavy sweatshirt she was wearing worked to conceal anything that could be amiss though.
She slipped out of the front door in time to catch him walking up the front porch. Bradley’s cheeks were tinted pink and he had those same sunglasses on again. They looked old, Jose wondered for a moment if he found them at a second hand shop. Maybe he would tell her where. She liked more vintage pieces.
“Hey, there you are. I was just coming to check on you.”
“Here I am,” She was nervous, rocking on her feet.
“Do you want to go to the park for a bit? Phoenix and Hangman probably won’t be back for hours,” He offered, a hint of a smile under that stupid mustache.
Jose hated mustaches. Michael tried to grow one once. He swore it would make him look older and more distinguished. It looked horrible on him. After that he tried to grow a beard to match, but he just couldn’t manage it. The little bit of fuzz made him look like a child, or a laughingstock. Maybe even both. She hated them because they reminded her of the fights that came in the weeks that followed.
But Bradley…god how could something she hated look so right on him? It was like he was meant to have a stache. Like the simple bit of facial hair completed him somehow. She wasn’t sure if she could even imagine him without one, or if he would even look right.
“I promised Jake I would stay in the house,” She replied quietly.
He took a step further, suddenly becoming worried, “Is this him being too overprotective? Because if he’s forcing you to stay here-”
“No, no, it’s nothing like that,” She interrupted with a shake of her head, “I’ve been feeling a bit sick, I’m not supposed to exert myself at all. So, walking like that is out of the question.”
A half truth. Her doctor recommended limiting it to one walk a day, especially since Jose hadn’t been able to keep down more than one or two small snacks here and there. She was worried that with all of the movement around the house today, she would be risking too much. Jose couldn’t yet admit it to herself, or anyone else for that matter, but she already cared about this tiny little baby more than she ever thought she could care about another human being.
Are you,” Bradley started to reach for her before he stopped and took a tiny step back, “Are you okay?”
She thought about it for a second. There was no simple answer to his question. Because yes, she was okay, but at the same time she wasn’t. She heard a heartbeat at her last appointment. Jake wanted to put the pictures on the fridge, until he realized that meant anyone could see and he knew Jose didn’t want that. He settled for slipping one in his wallet instead. Jose saw the baby, her baby, for the first time. She couldn’t bring herself to look at the last appointment. It was easier to detach herself from the blurry pictures they printed out. But seeing it in real time, seeing the heartbeat and the little tiny movements that she couldn’t feel yet…that was harder to deny.
“I will be,” She finally replied, “I’m supposed to meet with a divorce attorney soon. I never thought I would actually be thankful for a divorce. Thank god my mama doesn’t know.”
She watched as Bradley’s face changed, a few times actually, but she couldn’t tell what he was thinking at all. Maybe she shouldn’t have brought up the divorce, but the sooner that was over the sooner she would be able to really breathe. She didn’t realize how much she wanted to be rid of Michael until the park the other night.
“If I was in your place, I think I’d definitely want to talk to my mom about all of this,” He sighed.
She swallowed a large lump in her throat. She didn’t know what it was there, or why her heart felt like it was going to sink all the way to her feet. But the way he looked now, well it made her feel like someone was going to punch her square in the chest.
“Not every mom is a good one,” She was so quiet he almost didn’t hear her, “My mom…well I think she was always too worried about what the church thought, you know? Everything always had to be just so. If it wasn’t, well that was a very bad day. I think she was so caught up in all of that, that she didn’t know how to love her own daughter right.”
“And you father?” He seemed almost scared to ask. It didn’t matter to Jose, the word didn’t mean anything to her.
“Don’t know. She never talked about him, she still won’t. I don’t know if he died, or left…hell I don’t even know if she knows who he is. She’s worked hard to stop being the person she was before I was born, and here I am being the exact same. Only I know who-”
She almost said she knew who the father was. She knew, but he didn’t want any part in this life they made. She snapped her eyes shut. She brought a hand up to wipe across her forehead to move hair out of the way before getting her mind back together. Move on, deflect.
“The rules haven’t changed though, Bradley,” She said, opening her eyes again, “I’m still off limits. And as much as I appreciate you coming to check in on me, you shouldn't have. I’m fine, and I’m pretty sure you would be able to tell if I wasn’t because Jake would be unbearable.”
“I’m not scared of him, you know? I’ve handled him for a good few years before you came around,” Bradley joked.
“Pretty sure you aren’t supposed to be fighting with the guy flying next to you,” She raised an eyebrow, “I think that’s bad tactics. Plus, I don’t think your superior officers would like it very much. So, I’m going to go back inside and you’re going to go back to your house, and once again we’ll pretend like this never happened.”
He seemed to laugh silently as he shook his head. But he still stepped backward down the steps, “You know, I’m not sure if I like being your dirty little secret, Miss Josephine.”
He was joking, she knew that, but she felt her heart sink again all the same. She took one step back towards the door, hand reaching out for the handle, “You aren’t my dirty little secret, trust me.”
I already have one of those, she wanted to add.
Before she could do or say anything else, she slipped back inside, firmly shutting the door behind her. With a long sigh she leaned against it, her mind might as well be scrambled right now. The change in hormones, along with everything else was enough, but something about Bradley made it ten times harder.
“I’m trying to do right by you,” She said softly, talking to her baby for the first time in three months, “I’m trying not to be like my mama, I don’t want you to grow up with me sneaking men in and out of your life. But he is making it really damn hard, so please don’t hate me if I fuck this up. Because he really makes me want to fuck up.”

The Stranded and The Scaly.
Chapter 12: The Boy who cried Gator.
Day 8
Scott tore though the woods, refusing to stop to catch his breath or look behind him. He didn't care where he was going, as long as it was away from that fucking monster in the woods.
The ginger boy gasped for air as he ran, stumbling as he shoved through low-hanging branches and bushes. How long had that thing been there, and why did it look so humanoid? Could it have been an unlucky intern? No, none of that mattered. Scott had to tell the others! That thing was big enough to pick them all off one by one and eat them!!
Scott emerged from the forest, covered in dirt and scratches. He saw his castmates standing near the dock and rushed over, but he tripped over a rock and landed flat on his face in front of them.
"False alarm, campers! Scott is NOT dead as we all thought! He's all gross-looking like a corpse, though." Chris cackled. "Anyways, let me finish explaining your challenge for today!"
"No, no, no!! Wait a second!!" Scott quickly got to his feet.
"I need to tell you guys something! We are all in DANGER."
"Scott, we've been in danger since we set foot on this island. Our situation can't get much worse." Mike rolled his eyes, clearly not amused by whatever prank Scott might be pulling.
"Please, this is serious!" Scott pleaded.
"Hey, maybe we should listen to dust bunny over here." Jo pointed out.
The campers turned their attention to Scott, waiting to hear what he had to say. Chris tapped his foot impatiently and scowled at the ginger.
"I saw something in the woods, it was a mutant!"
"Seriously, Scott? We KNOW there are mutants on this island. Seeing some weird critter in the woods is old news." Zoey looked a little annoyed.
"No, it was HUGE, and green, a-and scaly!!"
"Congrats, you saw a big, nasty swamp gator. Whoop whoop, everyone give Scott a round of applause for his excellent observations!" Chris spoke in a mocking tone, clapping his hands slowly.
Scott's face flushed bright red from embarrassment as he shoved his hands in his pockets and took his place in the line of campers. How stupid of him to think that the others would actually believe him, he was known for lying and scheming! Scott desperately looked at Jo and Lightning, they'd believe him, right? Maybe?
Wrong. Jo glared at him and shook her head, Lightning didn't even glance at him. Well, sucks to be them. If they went into the forest, they'd be toast. Scott had the upper hand here.
Geoff cautiously wandered the forest with the baby gopher in his arms. What did gophers eat, anyways? Were they herbivores or omnivores? He regretted not paying attention in biology class, he didn't know that info would actually come in handy! The gopher sniffled and squirmed in his arms, it was getting hard to hold on to that thing. Geoff knelt down and carefully placed the animal on the ground. The gopher immediately began to sniff the ground and waddle around. Did it know something he didn't? Geoff watched as the gopher stopped and started burrowing into the ground, it seemed to be searching for something. Geoff's questions were quickly answered when the gopher pulled a large, thick root out of the ground and immediately started chowing down. The little munchkin was a herbivore, noted.
Geoff knelt next to the gopher and pet it while it ate, humming a quiet tune. He'd have to go hunt for his own meal later.
Ezekiel was panicking. Geoff was gone, he left his stuff behind, and there were signs of a cave-in. He hoped the other boy hadn't been crushed. The small mutant charged through the vast tunnels and caverns, looking for any clue as to where Geoff had gone. Without looking where he was going, he ran right off a rocky ledge into a pool of clear, blue water. Ezekiel gasped and coughed as he waded to the surface and let his vision adjust to the cave's lighting. He hadn't been in this area before, it was beautiful....
The water glowed a faint blue, along with the crystal formations along the walls, illuminating the cave to an extent.
Ezekiel instantly knew he had to show Geoff this wondrous cave. Maybe they could have a party just for the two of them.
Zeke's thoughts were interrupted when his keen eyes spotted a long, blonde hair drifting on the surface of the water.
Geoff had been here.
He had to keep looking.
He scrambled out of the water and inspected the ground for more clues. His brief inspection revealed large claw marks in the stone, these had to belong to Geoff.
Okay, all he had to do was follow the claw marks in the stone, and then he'd be able to find Geoff. Simple, right?
Ezekiel knew Geoff's scent well, and these caverns carried the faintest trace of it. Not enough to follow, but enough to know Geoff had been here. The claw marks were his biggest lead, and he needed to keep following them.
Zeke would find Geoff one way or another, he knew the mutant boy was large and powerful enough to take down any possible predators, but he couldn't save himself from being crushed by rocks. If he was too late, and if Geoff had died in a cave-in, he'd never forgive himself. Ezekiel hated to imagine Geoff's possible final moments, alone and scared as his bones were crushed by the collapsing cave walls, unable to cry out as the darkness engulfed him.
Ezekiel growled.
No, he'd find Geoff, and he would be ALIVE. He'd bring Geoff back to their cozy little cave and curl up in his arms, relaxing as the sound of Geoff's heartbeat echoes through his ears.

Home AU part 2
As they continued to walk. More and more junk started to block there path. When all of a sudden.
“HELLO! TAKE A MASK!” A bot jumped out.
Cassie and Gregory screamed as load as they could.
Once they were back to thinking straight. They took a mask right before the bot deactivated.
They looked at the weird bunny masks before looking at each other and putting them on.
They looked around amazed before H.E.L.P.Y. appeared explaining the V.A.N.N.I. Net work before inserting a chip. The kids not knowing what happened took off the mask and asked HELPY what had happened. HELPY then explain that it was so they can talk with out the mask before he disappeared.
“I don’t like it.” Gregory stated. Cassie nodes in agreement as they walk the into what looked a a sewer tunnel. They end up in Monty golf. Cassie spots a golf game and plays it as Gregory does the cameras.
Gregory finishes first before hearing Cassie gasp.
“What’s wrong?”
“Is parts to repair Monty!”
“Wait, really?!” Gregory said as walked over to look at the parts. “No way! Put them in my bag.”
Casie did as told and put the parts in the bag. Hopefully they would be able to repair him.
“Come on let’s go.” Cassie state head towards there only way out.
A vent.
Cassie went in first and Gregory followed closing the vent back up.
“Wanna know what would suck?” Cassie asked.
“If the vent fe-“ Gregory was cut off but the vent falling.
Both land on the ground with a harsh thud.
“We shouldn’t have jinxed it.” Cassie groaned as she rolled off of Gregory.
“We really should learn to shut our mouths at some point.” Gregory replied.
Cassie helps Gregory up to his feet before looking around.
“Where did we end up?” Gregory asked.
“Look!,” Cassie said pointing to a sign, “super star daycare!”
“Awww to bad the side isn’t here.” Gregory replied before saying, “ what if it’s in vr.”
“Not again.”
Both put on the mask but didn’t see a slide but instead a tunnel. They look at each other before going in. Gregory in front.
“Is this a play structure?” Cassie asked.
“I believe so-“ Gregory was cut off by a creepy laugh.
“Gregory” cassie said scared.
“I heard.” Gregory replied but kept walking.
All of a sudden moon latchEd on the the side scaring the kids. Cassie quickly shined her light on him. ‘Burning’ him and forcing him away screaming.
“What happened to him?” Gregory ask.
“I don’t know.” Cassie replied.
The continued on until they were stuck with no where to go. Sun came down scaring the asking for help before flying off.
The kids looked at each other before splitting up to find the two generators. It took 30 minutes max since there was two. Both racing back toward eclipse to help.
Once there Gregory let Cassie on his shoulders. And Cassie quickly rebooted sun.
They take a step back before sun came back on line. Sun immediately picks them up and sets them out side the daycare. Thanking them before going to clean.
“Wait.” Cassie said
“What?” Gregory perked up knowing that Cassie only used this tone when she has an idea.
“If we rebooted sun and he went back to normal what if we rebooted the others!”
Gregory lookEd her as if she was crazy. But the more he thought about it the more it made since.
“Then all we need is the right opportunity!”

|| Ch. 10: Coming Back Home ||
After Jungkook and Luna woke from their nap, Luna got right back to nagging Jungkook to take her back home. He continued to resist until she called him “Jungkookie” once more and broke him. He reluctantly agreed to take her home, but assured her at the first sign of trouble he would take her away no matter what.
She was adamant about him not going with her to her parent’s house, but he was much stronger. As a compromise, he agreed to take his bunny form and she would tell them she wanted to show them her new pet. She still hates the idea but accepted it since it was an easier lie than trying to explain bringing a strange man home.
Her parents don’t live far from the portal, so it takes no time to get there by bus. Their home is cozy and cute with a small front and backyard complimenting the two bedroom residence where Luna grew up.
They welcome her with open arms and endless kisses. Luna has always been close with her parents, so it’s not often that she goes more than a few days without talking to them. They spend the first hour simply catching up on their day to day lives.
“Who’s this?” Luna’s mom asks petting Jungkook whose nuzzled comfortably in Luna’s lap.
“This is my new pet bunny, J-um-Kookie. Yeah, Kookie,” she says.
“Kookie? That’s cute.”
“Yeah,” Luna chuckles. “Too bad he’s evil.”
Jungkook bites her finger in displeasure.
“You little shit!” She shouts grabbing him and getting ready to throw him until she sees the confused look on her parents faces. “I mean, we still have to work on some training since he’s just a baby,” she laughs nervously.
“I see,” her dad says with a raised brow from his recliner a few feet away.
They chat a bit longer until Jungkook starts getting restless. That’s when Luna finally leads into asking them what she really came here for.
“Have you guys ever encountered a vampire before?” Luna asks taking them by surprise.
“A…vampire?” Her mom asks giving her dad a worried look. “Why do you ask?”
“It’s just that some weird things have been happening lately…”
“Weird things like what?” Her dad asks.
“I think my boss may be a vampire,” she says softly. “It’s hard to explain. I was just wondering if you guys had come across one before.”
Her parents both look at each other with a worried look on their faces. Jungkook remains in Luna’s lap with his ears perked up waiting for their response.
“Luna, sweetie,” her mom starts. “There’s something you should know.”
“What is it?” She asks feeling her heart drop at the sight of their concerned faces.
“You know my best friend I told you about? The one that’s like my sister?”
“The one you named me after? Yeah, you’ve told me a lot about her.”
“Well…the night you were born she came to our house in hysterics. I had no idea what was going on, but I knew something bad had happened to her. She was weak and bleeding from a bite mark in her neck. We had never seen anything like it before. She told us that a vampire attacked her and somehow she was able to fight him off and run 2 miles to our house, but he had already bit her. We didn’t know what any of that meant, we didn’t even know vampires were real. We didn’t know if she would turn into a vampire or die, but we tried our best to clean her up and offer her safety until she felt the vampire was gone.”
Luna looks on running her fingers through Jungkook’s fur listening to this story her mother has never told before. She can tell by the look on both of their faces that this is something that hurts them deeply. Her mom takes a deep breath and continues telling her story.
“She stayed with us for about 2 hours before she felt she may have lost him. Unfortunately, her condition only worsened in that time and she had become so weak that she could barely stand.” She pauses trying to hold back tears. “I don’t know how she did it,” she says through the knot in her throat. “But with the last bit of strength she had, she managed to give birth right there in our living room.”
“Birth?” Luna asks in disbelief.
“A beautiful baby girl. A daughter I promised I would love and protect with all of my heart. A promise I made to her as she took her final breaths.” She takes another moment to calm the trembling in her voice, but the tears are still flowing endlessly. “Luna, my dear, the moment you came into this world was the moment that vampire found us. I don’t know what he wanted with her, or why he had to chase her down the way he did, but she begged us to run and take you somewhere safe. So we did.”
“What are you saying?” Luna asks through her own barrage of tears. “Are you telling me my actual birth mom died the night I was born?”
“We weren’t sure if the vampire would come for you, but we didn’t want to take the chance. We ran until we couldn’t anymore.”
“Your birth mother,” her dad says taking over the conversation. “Was gone by the time I went back the next morning.”
“Gone as in she disappeared?” Luna asks.
“No, sweetie,” he says softly. “Gone as in gone.”
“So let me make sure I understand what you’re telling me,” Luna says through tears. “My mom was pregnant with me. She was bit by a vampire. Gave birth to me. Then was killed? And you took on the role of my parents?”
“We wanted to tell you when the time was right,” her mom cries. “But we never knew when that would be.”
“My red eye…”
“I’m so sorry, Luna.”
“But…who is my real dad?”
“He was taken first,” her dad says slowly.
“Who was he?” She cries beginning to raise her voice out of pure shock and confusion.
Her dad gets up from his seat and grabs a picture off the wall. He walks over to Luna and points to a man standing in her parent’s wedding picture she grew up looking at all her life.
“My cousin,” her dad says. “Met your mom at our wedding. We were all so happy when they announced they were pregnant with you. They named us godparents, and that’s why we took care of you as our own after that night. I know this is a lot, but we don’t want you to think that we ever loved you less all these years.”
Luna feels overwhelmed, so much so that she’s not sure what she feels. She’s trying to process so much at one time. She’s learning that her parents aren’t really her parents, and vampires are the reason why.
“I’m part vampire?” Luna whispers finally accepting that Jungkook was right.
“We’re so sorry,” her mom repeats. “We didn’t think you had been affected until your eye turned completely red.”
Luna looks at the saddened faces of the people she spent 25 years thinking were her parents. She can feel the pain in their hearts as they recall the events of the night she was born. The night her biological parents were killed. She puts Jungkook to the side and wraps her arms around her mom tightly. She then stands and does the same to her dad.
“I love you guys so much,” she cries. “This is all so much for me to process, but I don’t know where I’d be without you. Thank you for loving me.”
As the three gather on the couch hugging each other and crying, Jungkook begins to feel a change in the air. He slowly jumps from the couch and surveys the room trying his best not to catch anyone’s attention. He can feel how emotional this moment is and he doesn’t want to do anything to get in the way.
He wanders near a window and listens for any sounds outside. It’s quiet for a moment, then he begins to hear rustling nearby, and the sound of at least two people, or maybe a horse, walking around the house. Then shushed voices ring through Jungkook’s hypersensitive ears.
“This is the place, right?” Asks one voice.
“Yeah, see? It’s on the radar,” says another voice.
“Nice, I thought Choi was just bluffing to save his ass.”
“What do we do with the humans inside? They can’t witness us going through the portal.”
“Do what you want. They’re not important.”
Upon hearing the conversation, Jungkook springs into action. He runs back to Luna and jumps into her lap. She and her parents are still wiping each others tears and expressing love endlessly. He bounces in Luna’s lap a few times trying to get her attention.
“What is it?” Luna asks looking down at him.
“Did he get spooked by something?” Her mom asks sniffling.
He bounces a few more times then runs back to the window. Luna follows him and looks out the window.
“I don’t see anything,” she says.
Jungkook runs towards the back door where he can sense the presence of the two guys. He turns back to Luna and nudges her ankle back towards the living room. Her parents aren’t sure what’s happening but before they can ask an explosion of glass blasts through the back door.
“What the fuck?!” Luna shouts picking Jungkook up.
Two menacing red eyed vampires come quickly barging into the house with complete disregard for everyone and everything around them. Luna’s dad tries to stand between them and his family.
“Luna, right?” One of the guys asks. “You’re coming with us.
“Who the hell are you?” Her dad asks.
“None of your concern,” the second guy says pulling out a large katana and swiftly slicing right through him from his left shoulder through his right hip.
“DAD NO!” Luna shouts as Jungkook jumps out of her arms and quickly transforms back to his regular form.
“Luna!” Her mom shouts.
“We don’t have time for this!” The katana wielding vampire shouts swinging at her mom.
Jungkook pulls out his gun and quickly shoots him right in the chest turning him to ash before he can make contact with her mom.
“We have to go!” Jungkook says grabbing Luna’s arm. He looks at her mom ready to take her away with them but the other vampire hits her with a strong force throwing her into the wall while picking up the katana.
“MOM!!” Luna shouts through tears reaching for her mom.
Jungkook aims his gun and shoots the guy right between the eyes, but not before he throws the katana striking Luna’s mom right in the neck. Luna is in hysterics as her dad lays on the floor in two pieces and her mom is pinned to the wall struggling to take her last breaths.
“Mom!!” Luna yells running to her side. “Please hold on, we can get help or something,” she says holding her mom’s hand.
“You have to get out of here,” her mom says barely above a whisper.
“No I’m not leaving you!” Luna cries squeezing her hand tighter.
“It’s too late for me. Get out of here, Luna.”
“Mom, no!”
“I love you.”
“Please,” Luna cries. “Please!”
“Take care of yourself.”
“Please!” She cries collapsing to the floor as her mom takes her final strangled breaths.
In the distance Jungkook can hear more footsteps. He’s not sure whose footsteps they are, but he can’t take any chances now.
“We have to go,” he says softly trying to get Luna to stand.
“I can’t,” she wails still clutching her mom’s unmoving hand.
“Luna, I’m sorry, but we have to.” He picks her up and locks her legs around his waist, then runs out of the house trying his best to muffle her cries.
He knows there’s more vampires on their way to find her and he needs to get her back to Korealis as soon as possible. The entire time he’s carrying her, she’s clutching at his chest heaving and struggling to breathe as the image of her mom and dad’s lifeless bodies remains stagnant in her mind.
She just learned that her birth parents died the night she was born at the hands of vampires. Now she just watched the people she knew as her parents for her entire life get killed by vampires. Nothing makes sense and right now all she knows is pain.
Jungkook arrives at the portal and quickly transports the two of them back to Korealis. When they arrive and he puts Luna back on her feet she can’t even move. Her entire world was just shattered right in front of her eyes. She can’t stand, she can’t speak, she can hardly breathe. All she can do is continue crying and wailing into Jungkook’s chest as he holds her tightly.
He stands there holding her a moment allowing her to get all of her emotions out. When her knees grow weak he holds her tighter to keep her up and nestled into his chest.
“I’ll take you back to my place,” he whispers into her hair.
As he’s done before, he carries her out of the station and to the roof. She’s not even able to see around her as they go from roof to roof. Her eyes are completely clouded with tears. Her heart feels like it’s been ripped out of her chest, and she has no idea what she’s supposed to do now. Her whole world is gone.
When they return to Jungkook’s room he lays her across the bed where she curls herself in the fetal position soaking the pillow with her tears. He sits next to her softly rubbing her back in an attempt to soothe her, though he’s not quite sure the best way to make her feel better after what they just witnessed.
“I’m really sorry,” he says softly. “I wish I could have done more.”
Luna tries to speak but no words come out, only more strangled cries breaking through her throat. Her entire body feels like it’s burning from the inside out.
It pains him to see her like this. He doesn’t know what he could say to ease her agony. For once he’s wishing she would go back to hitting him and calling him a demon, he found amusement in that, but now it’s like he can physically feel her pain, and it’s unbearable.
He wipes a few of her tears from her face and decides to transform back into his bunny state. He curls up next to her allowing her to run her fingers through his fur. She wraps her arm around him and pulls him closer. He nuzzles himself under her chin allowing her tears to fall to his back. She lets out a small whine and continues petting him and holding him close.
Shortly after, Luna falls asleep finding a small bit of comfort in being cuddled next to Jungkook. When he feels she’s deep enough in her sleep, he carefully climbs out of the bed and returns to his normal form. He leaves a bottle of water next to her then quietly leaves the room.

Sam stretched his arms as he woke up from his nap, and grimaced when he realized he was just accompanied by Dean, and the girls weren't yet back.
He fished for his phone, finding it charging right by his side, and groaned when he read Dittie's text informing him of his wife and girlfriend - it was so weird to say that. Thea was his girlfriend. And not his wife yet. It was so annoying -, were whisked away to by their father for some duty he didn't quite understand.
He stood on his feet, grunting, knowing he wouldn't be able to fall back asleep with Dean's snoring, and moved to their bags, knowing it was best to just unpack.
Sam stopped surprised, however, when he heard a knock by their door.
"Just a minute," he grunted, and left their stuff aside, still rubbing his eye as he walked to see who it was.
The moment he opened the door, he frowned. It was... Artemis? Alicia?
He could barely remember all the names, and he was too tired, honestly.
"Good evening!" she exclaimed, sounding far too excited, and raised a tray. "I brought you a snack."
Sam blinked a bit, and yawned as he recognised the cut-up fruits.
"Thank you," he spoke slowly. "Uh..."
"Ariel," she told him quickly,  smiling largely, and moved her fingers to twirl her hair when he picked the tray from her hands.
He nodded, and waited for her to leave, but the little bunny - who looked a lot like the girls, now that he was looking at her for real - bit her lower lip.
"May I come in?" she offered. "I wanna know if you liked it."
Sam blinked a little confused, looking at the fruit. It was all cut in cute shapes, hearts, circles, stars and... bunny ears? Okay.
"Uh..." he looked for words.
Was that a custom? He should respect their customs and traditions, right?
"Sure," he stepped back. "Sit anywhere, I'll just brush my teeth."
The bedroom was very big, and it had a window seat that he certainly would try to find so that they could put in their new house - there was no way they were going to survive much longer with five kids and four adults in a house as small as theirs - and she chose to sit there, looking around very happily as he walked to the bathroom.
Fuck, he was so damn tense. He could feel the knots in his muscles here and now. Damn, the driving really had done a number on him.
Ariel giggled at his greeting, holding the bowl of fruit he had placed over the desk.
"I've never seen a wolf before," she announced, looking excited. "You're so big."
Sam blinked in surprise.
"Thank you?' he answered, unsure of what to say.
She looked positively enchanted, giggling again.
"You know, our mamas used to always warn us about wolves like you," Ariel told him.
"Really?" he asked.
"Yes," she nodded. "Mama Cris was always teasing me, Thea and Dittie."
Sam blinked, a little confused.
"Only you three?" he asked.
Ariel shrugged.
"We are her only three," she exclaimed. "I mean, she is everyone's mama, but we are the only one who... you know... came out of her."
He nodded slowly. Oh, then that was why she looked so much like them!
"You know, it is kind of funny over at our home," he glanced at Dean. "Regardless of the mum, the genetics are the same. It's the fun part of dating twins, I guess."
Ariel pouted.
"Papa Blue still thinks I'm not ready to head out," she rolled her eyes, groaning. "Which is stupid, cause I know what I'm doing. I'm ready!"
Sam moved awkwardly on his feet.
"I'm sure he knows what he is doing," he assured her, trying to look for good advice. "You are still young. You have all the time of your life. It's good to wait before having some experiences."
He walked to her, and picked the bowl with the fruit, hoping the subject had died, but Ariel wasn't done.
"Thea and Dittie have only been gone for a few years and this is the second time they are pregnant!" she whined and touched her lower belly, rubbing on it. "I know I could be a good mama."
Sam felt himself nearly choking on a piece of strawberry, trying hard not to imagine what it would be like. Fuck, Ariel was probably a virgin. When they met, the girls already had their own experiences.
He stepped back quickly when he felt his cock wake up, quickly moving his thoughts away.
Nope. He already had two bunnies, he had no need for a third one.
"You know," she glanced at his crotch, and he quickly lowered the bowl, trying to hide his traitor body. "I haven't even had a boyfriend yet. I just want the first guy I meet to be the one who wants to mate with me for life."
Sam gulped again, trying to take his mind away from it, trying not to imagine himself as that guy. He loved his wives and wasn't interested in a third one. But fuck, she smelt so good... It was like the first he had smelt Dittie and Thea, the smell of an unmated Omega bunny.
"You should go," he spoke quickly.
Yes, yes, that was a good idea.
"We need to unpack and shower," Sam explained. "Thank you for the snack."
Ariel stood up, but instead of leaving, she simply moved closer to him and took the bowl from his hands, putting it aside.
"It could be you," she offered, perking her small chest, and he sucked in a breath through his mouth when he realised she wasn't wearing a bra, and they were nearly out of her top.
Ariel jumped and grabbed his shoulders, and Sam was quick to move his head back before she could.
"No," he pushed her away, stepping back, trying to put distance between the two of them. "Ariel, I'm married."
"Come on," she whined. "It's no big deal!"
Sam shook his head.
"It is a big deal!" he protested. "It is a big deal to me."
Ariel scoffed.
"You are an Alpha!" she rolled her eyes. "You should want another Omega, especially now that Dittie and Thea are huge and fat!"
Sam's mouth fell open in shock.
"What?" he repeated.
"I'm hot and a virgin!" she insisted.
He saw red, now infuriated, and grabbed her arm, lifting her up and practically carrying her as he walked out.
"Your father is right," he grunted. "You are immature and a fucking brat."
"What's happening?" Dean asked, and he looked back, realizing his brother had gotten up.
"Ariel here decided to seduce us," he turned to him, angered.
His brother looked surprised, a little impressed, and Sam scoffed.
"Seduce us?" he repeated.
"Apparently, we need another Omega now that our wives are huge and fat."
Any amusement that had been on his brother's face faded, and Dean stared at her with pure anger.
Ariel squirmed, trying to get out of his grip.
"Dean, he is overreacting," she tried to argue.
None of them answered, and she chuckled.
"What are you gonna do?" she insisted. "Punish me?"
Sam watched as she batted her eyelashes and pouted, trying, though not hard, to act as if that wasn't exactly what she wanted.
"Us?" Dean asked. "No. But I know of someone who will."
Her eyes widened, but she didn't have time to say anything as Sam dragged her out of the room, stepped to the living room and stopped once he found Papa Blue sitting on the couch with Dittie and Thea.
Ariel whined, and he put her down in front of him.
"Your daughter came into our room to try and seduce us," he told Blue. "And offended our wives in the process."
Thea and Dittie rolled their eyes, and Papa Blue looked at Ariel with a disappointed and angry look on his face.
"Ariel!" he spoke, far too calm. "Why did you do that?"
"Because that is what she always does," Thea scoffed. "She steals and ruins our clothes, breaks our perfume bottles, plays with our makeup... and nothing ever happens."
He looked at her, surprised, and Dittie pinched the bridge of her nose.
"Oh, yeah, she was early this time," she sighed. "I still remember her rubbing herself on... what's his name, Thea? Your first boyfriend?"
Ariel squirmed, ready to dash out, but Dean kept her in place.
"I don't remember his name anymore," Thea scoffed. "But it was ridiculous. He was so embarrassed."
Sam turned his gaze to Papa Blue, who didn't look any happy.
"You have to do something about this," Dean insisted to him.
Blue sighed.
"Ariel, you are going to spend the rest of their stay here working in the gardens," he told her. "When they leave, we will find you a good job that will build you some character."
She started whining, and Sam pinched the bridge of his nose in annoyance.
"Sam, Dean," his father-in-law looked at them. "I deeply apologize for my daughter's behaviour."
"It's not fair!" Ariel protested in a shout.
Everyone's eyes turned to her.
"We have to fight to keep a bunch of tiny babies alive," she protested. "And they go out and have three babies that are literally double the size of the biggest baby we ever had in our family!"
Sam looked at her, surprised.
"I just wanna have big babies too! I wanna have good babies! I want good genes too!"
He blinked, completely confused, and Blue's face hardened.
"I don't want to hear another word of it," he told his youngest. "Now go before I make your punishment worse."
Ariel stormed out, and Papa Blue looked at them with heavy embarrassment on his face.
"What was that?" Dean asked.
Sam was ready to correct him, to remind him that the two of them were outsiders and shouldn't ask questions.
"We have a 50/50 child mortality rate here," Thea confessed.
Both him and Dean looked at her explanation.
"We actually lost a lot of siblings," she told him. "And... well, what can I say? It hurts and we don't know a lot about why it happens."
"There is a team studying this situation," Blue told them. "It's why we kind of stopped having kids after Ariel. We lost four children who were born that same week and she was the only one left."
Sam's shoulders fell in a little bit of defeat.
He still remembered how the girls were always hovering over the pups, never leaving them alone. It was the reason they never spent the night in the nursery and only napped there, the reason they were never out of their sight until their 1st birthday. There was always an air around the girls, as if they were waiting for something bad to happen.
And it never did, of course.
"We didn't know," his brother whispered.
"Well, what is losing fifty kids when you already have another fifty?" Blue asked, looking like he was trying not to show his pain.
Fifty. Fifty kids.
Sam was terrified of losing any of his children.  He couldn't imagine not having the twin and Mary around.
"We didn't think you two would understand," Dittie sighed.
He knelt in front of them with Dean by his side, and they all fell into a tight group hug.
"I'll go check on Ariel," their father announced.
The girls scoffed, and Sam chuckled.
"Don't act like you aren't that bratty too," he squeezed their thighs playfully. "We all know how you get when you can't have something you want."
They both raised identical eyebrows at them.
"What, do you two want to spend the next week in the gardens too?" Thea asked.
They gulped, shutting up, and the girls giggled.
"Dinner is almost ready," Dittie told them. "Come one, you can help set the table. It is work for four people."
Sam followed them as they walked to the kitchen, a little relieved, but still bothered. The itch was still there, he didn't understand why, but he knew something was about to happen.,

Hi! I know we haven’t interacted much yet (I’m trying to work on interacting more with moots tho!!) but I wanted to say congratulations on your milestone!! I also just saw the event and I think this event is super cute and original and I love the concept!!
I was wondering if I could possibly join?—if so,
My pronouns: she/her
Some stuff about me: I’m super sarcastic but usually don’t mean harm by it. I’m scared of heights and spiders and I’m allergic to mangoes and kiwis (doesn’t stop me from trying to eat them though) —(I also have a weird allergy to a weather pattern everyone makes fun of me for it haha)
I would like to go on a date with Suna (we probably have a newer relationship) and don’t have a specific visual for it, but I usually like to wear sundresses on dates cause they give me a little confidence boost
Tumblr media
a/n: Hi Kaze!!! I want to interact more because you seem super sweet and i hope you know you always have a place here.
Tumblr media

->OUTFITS:
Me
You
Samu
Rin
->OVERVIEW: I love the concept that you and rin are a newer relationship, but I feel as if me and Samu are more established but very much still mushy over each other like new couples often are- hence why I think we find you two to be so adorable and also why we all hang out so much besides being friends.
->THE DATE WILL CONSIST OF....: This feels like a rather casual summer day date, like getting iced coffees or whatever then all meeting at the farmers market to shop around together before we go to a lake or large forested park and eat some of our goodies we got at the market before we dip our feet in water and fool around.

↳-PEER INTO THIS WINDOW TO SEE A MOMENT FROM THE DAY-༉‧₊˚✧
----wooooooooooosh---- (third person pov)
Despite the late July sun beating down, your group had found the perfect place to hide away between the cool water of the small lake and the shade of matured pine trees which populate the area. While Kaze and Aero stand ankle deep in the waters, kicking the liquid at each other and exchanging light hearted banter. On the other hand their boyfriends sit on the rather large red blanket which was nestled perfectly between the trees which sat a bit off of the bank of the babbling water source. The boys were watching their partners with hearts in their eyes and fresh apples in hand, they were enjoying a bout of comfortable silence which simmered perfectly in the calm of the moment.
That of course changed when Rintaro asked his friend something in a rather quite tone, "How do you keep your relationship with Jules so-"
"New?" Osamu gave his old friend a knowing look, it was as if the chef was waiting for this conversation to arise and had planed ahead. "If yer askin' if theres any secrets, na there ain't. Fer me and my darlin over there it's just the kinda love we 'ave. We're jus' two fouls who're still head-over-heals in 'ove even after a year and a half."
"... Yeah, yeah you do. It's something to admire what you two have, it's special." Suna whispered, looking towards Kaze longingly.
"Same can be said bout ya and Kaze," Samu retorted. "'spite the newness, i's like ya been together fer years. Theres familiarity an' understandin that takes time ta build. If ya worried if y'all got what it takes to stand 'gainst the stand of time, Me and my angel over there think ya thousand percent can."
Looks of appreciation and comradery were exchanged by the men, Osamu took this as the conclusion and stood to join Bunny and Kaze in the water expecting Suna to follow as he was.

Your eyes glared down at the younger boy, towering over him to show dominance "S-sis, what're you doing?" Karl asked "Trying to scare you, is it working?" you leaned down and kept eye contact with the stammering boy "u-um not really.." he stuttered out "then why're you stuttering over your words? You're obviously intimidated." you placed your hands on your hips.
"Well why're you trying to intimidate me? I'm just trying to read this book!" he groaned "Because someone has to knock you down a peg, you think just because you're younger that you can get everything you want? Well not if I can help it!" you were furious by the boy.
"What're you on about? What've I done to you?" Karl asked worriedly "You've been asking for a whole lot this week, veruca salt!" you threw your arms in the air and started pacing around him and his chair "What? Like what?" Karl was utterly confused "You've been asking for non-stop rides to your friends houses, and you've been leaving your laundry around for mother to do!" you cross your arms.
"You're overreacting!" Karl complained "Oh I'm not done! You've also been taking money from mom's purse!" you called him out "What- how did you know about that??" Karl immediately became tense "Oh you look so stressed dear brother, just relax- don't worry... I'm not gonna tell her-" Karl sighed in relief "Oh thank god" and got cut off by you finishing your sentence "-If you promise to be a good brother and listen to what your stepsister says!" you finished.
"WHAT? No way! I'm telling mom and dad!" He began to stand up but you pushed him back down "Oh no no no, you're gonna tell them what? That you stole the $200 that mom presumed was stolen by a thief? You gonna explain that to her after she already called authorities and had someone sent to jail?" you spat venom at him.
"You're evil!" Karl shouted "Me? Evil? I'm not the thief here" you grinned mischievously "Although I could be- if you don't wanna have to do everything I say then just give me something precious you own" you held your hand out expectantly "What am I supposed to give you? My soul?" Karl questioned "If you can bare to part with it then yes" you gave a mean smile in response to his sarcasm.
"I have literally nothing!" Karl exclaimed "You have your phone" you suggested "Dad would kill me if he found out I'd given it away!" He shouted "he'd kill you if he found out about that money too" you reminded him "I- I could give you... I'll let you date one of my friends!" Karl smiled nervously as he hoped you'd agree "What friends? You're a nerd, no one would want to be friends with you" snickered.
"S-Sapnap! He's strong, he loves animals, he has big muscles!" Karl said "The brute with dark hair? He's cute but not my type" you yawned "U-m.. Quackity?" a bead of sweat dropped down his face "He's super cool, really funny!" Karl was starting to worry as he was already running out of friends to pair you with "No.. My type is nerdy boys that I can dominate, ones that get nervous a lot and stutter over their sentences" you hinted.
"Oh- like Wilbur? I'm not really his friend but I can try something!!" Karl wasn't getting the hint "No, I was thinking more specifically towards someone like you." you finally told him "M-me? But I'm your brother!" Karl was in disbelief "Step-brother. And I don't really like you, I just think that you're pitiful and if you're gonna be selling someone's body to me in exchange to keep your secrets safe than it may as well be yours." you explained.
"But- Well- I've never done that before!" he put his hands up defensively "Well obviously, who would want to touch a greasy nerd like you?" you sighed. "Well- No, that's wrong!" he shook his head "Well I'm not gonna make you, just give me something else then and I'll be on my way" you told him. Karl looked down at his feet for a moment as he mulled over what was happening and what decision he was gonna make.
Karl lifted his head and made eye contact with you "Okay." he replied "Okay what? Okay you're gonna give me something?" you asked "No- I mean- okay I'm gonna give you my body" he mumbled quietly "Gonna need to speak up, can't hear you over the sound of our parents crying over having such a disappointing child" you ridiculed him.
"I'll give you my body, damnit!" he yelled "hey- quiet down, our parents are only just down stairs!" you made him shut up. "Whatever" he leaned back in his chair and slumped down "Karl. You need to give me your full consent, you can't just go 'yea whatever' and expect me to be fine with that!" you furrowed your eyebrows "Why?? What- do you need me to beg you for it?!" he was getting aggravated.
"Actually yes, I do" you decided to torment him a little bit "Big sis, please please please fuck this desperate loser" he put his hands together to make a praying gesture as he mocked you "That's more like it, runt." you grabbed his chin and forced him to face you "We can stop at any time, if you choose not to speak up then that'll be your fault" you made sure he was fully aware that he had a say even though he wasn't in control.
"Thanks. Now- how do we?" Karl was now confused on what you were gonna do, and he was having some type of delusion that he was gonna be the one in charge dominating you. "I think I'm just gonna have some fun by jerking you off, is that okay bunny?" you teased "W-what do you mean you're gonna jerk me off?" Karl asked nervously "I'm gonna stroke your dick, never done that before?" you bullied him.
"N-no, never even thought about it.." his face became red and flushed, you slowly slid onto his lap and straddled his leg "No? You haven't? Are you lying to your big sister? That's not very nice you know, Mom always told me that you shouldn't lie (Unless it's to your dad) " Karl glanced away from you and tried to hide his face "Aw you can tell me the truth, I'm a good listener after all!" you encouraged him "I haven't.." he persisted.
"Well then let me introduce you to the pleasure that is being jerked off, slide your pants down" you instructed "What? Do I have to.." he was clearly embarrassed "No. I guess I could just palm you through your pants" you shrugged. Karl sighed in relief and let out a small breath, tilting his head back in the chair and waiting for you to do what you wanted.
Your hand dipped between his legs, your palm rubbing his growing bulge "H-Hey that feels weird" he told you "So what? You want me to stop?" he shut his mouth, encouraging you to keep palming him. "This would feel a lot better if you let your cock free, instead your trapping it in your tight pants and strangling it.." you frowned "F-fine.." Karl blushed as he slowly pulled his pants down.
You watched in delight as he released his penis "Oh is this what you were worried about?" you stared down at it "O-Oh god-" Karl felt humiliated and went to put it away but you stopped him "It's cute.. I wouldn't expect a nerd's penis to be big anyways" you told him. Karl's little cock twitched at your words, moving slightly on its own "oh. my. god. You LIKE when I'm mean to you! That's why you never argue back! It all makes sense now.." Karl looked down to avert eye contact.
"That's perfect Karl, you love when I'm mean to you- and I love to make fun of you! Win Win!" you felt a small rush of excitement. Your hand wrapped around his cock which forced a choked out moan from him, his hands moving to cover his face "you're acting quite rude Karl. Look at your big sister when she's talking to you!" you ordered.
Karl slowly revealed his face, revealing how much pleasure he was having. "F-Feel's weird, let go!" he ushered you to let go of his penis, even though his body disagreed; his hips bucking up into your hand to help finish him off "Trust your big sister." you said as you continued to pump your hand around his cock. "Fuck! Fuck you!" Karl's whole body shuddered as he was having an orgasm, his penis twitching in your hand.
"Wow Karl, that was rude." you huffed and narrowed your eyes, your hand still lingering on his crotch "A-are you done now?" Karl panted as he was trying to catch his breath "Done? I've barely even started!" you laughed maniacally as you began to slowly stroke him again "Ah- no no no, that's too much!" Karl whined. "You want me to stop?" you asked him "Yes!" he exclaimed so you let go and pulled away "What?" Karl was confused and a bit upset "Hm? What is it?" you asked "You're just.. done?" he looked saddened.
"You told me to stop!" you explained "yeah but.. I didn't really mean it.." Karl's cheeks were dusted red "Well come back here then" you grabbed his hips and forced him back down onto his chair. Karl was already eager and bucking his hips up against you, your hand grabbed him again and started to jerk him off "Ah!- Ah-" Karl tried to keep quiet but couldn't help the escaped noises that came out.
You placed your free hand over his mouth to try and muffle his moans, his voice vibrating against your hand "You can never be quiet! Always have something to say, don't you?" you rolled your eyes at him. Karl clenched his eyes shut and tapped the chair repeatedly with his hand to let you know he was ready to cum again, you let him release his load yet again but you didn't remove your hand.
"A-Again?? I can only take so much.." Karl whimpered and whined "You're feeling this way already? But I've only just started!" You frowned "Well I guess I can give you a break now but there won't be any breaks later on when our parents go out to dinner." you stood up and got off him. "T-Thanks.." Karl huffed "For what?" you asked "Thanks for um- pleasuring me?" you scoffed and walked back to your room, ready to return at night time when you had Karl all to yourself.

TW: !Noncon!, breeding kink!, hella cum!, he holds you down onto the mattress!, kinda sus bc u just turned 18, he deadass bites you, !pees on u in rabbit form, mounting!, mentions of euthanization of animals at the beginning!, etc..)
“-Mama, Mama!” Your voice echoes throughout the kitchen, as you hurry inside, hands clutching something protectively. Your mother turns, startled by your sudden appearance and anxious sounding voice.
“What’s wrong? Did something happen? Did those neighbourhood boys bully you again?” Ever the mother hen, she frets over you, grabbing you gently by the shoulders and taking a good look at you.
Shaking your head, you lift your hands, showing the older woman a taupe coloured rabbit, “Look! Mrs. Ruitz next door is selling bunnies! She says this one is blind, so she hasn’t sold it, so she said she’d give him to me if you say yes! Please, please, please say yes! She said she’d put him down if he wasn’t sold,” Tears bead your eyes as you practically beg your mother, who doesn’t seem to have the heart to tell you ‘no’ at that moment.
She sighs, weighing her options. You’re already ten, so you should be able to take care of him with minimal effort on her part…
“I suppose that’s alright. You just have to promise me that you’ll take care of him!” You instantly perk up, a bright smile on your face.
“I promise! I promise!” You hold the bun closer to your chest, practically rocking it in the process, “Thank you, Mama!”
The older woman smiles once more, patting you goodnaturedly on the back, “Good. Now, let’s go talk to Mrs. Ruitz- we have no idea how to take care of it.”
Walking across the street, your mother and your neighbour talk about your bunny’s proper care. It turns out, your bun is a male, who is previously named N’Doul. Not wanting to confuse the bunny, you decided to keep his unusual name, chattering away happily to him as you sat in the grass, barely listening to his care requirements.
The bun listens intently to what you’re saying, relishing your gentle hold around him.
He must be lucky, he thinks, to have found someone as lovely as you for a mate.
-
Eight years later, and you and your bun are still going strong. You’d recently moved into your own apartment, trying out adult life as you start college.
Today is your birthday, officially making you an adult.
The day was filled with festivities: your mom made you your favourite breakfast in bed (scaring you half to death- apparently she has a copy of your apartment key), your friends took you out shopping, and your mom took you to a birthday dinner. All in all, it was a great day!
But, a certain bun was seemingly more excited than you were for your birthday, because he seemingly peed himself in excitement the moment you picked him up. Lightly scolding him, you set him down on his rabbit bed that you made him, “‘Doul, what the heck man!” You laugh a little, remembering back to when he was but a teeny kit, “You’re not a baby anymore, bubs, you can’t just pee on me!” The bun is surprisingly smart, allowing you to let him mosy around your house (now your own apartment that you saved up for for years). After he figures out the layout, he’s able to figure out where his pee pad is, along with his grass bed, actual bed, and food/drink area. He is also able to hear where you are, allowing him to cutely hop after you if you’re not already carrying him.
Going to the bathroom to wash your hands, you hear his barely audible pawsteps behind you, “It’s okay, ‘Doul, I’m just gonna clean myself off, okay?” Flipping on your faucet, you get your hands nice and wet, before you pump some soap onto your hands, and start scrubbing, “Maybe I should shower now, since I’m already here…” You trail off when you feel you bun settle himself on your foot.
Glancing down, you catch him just in time, as he starts to hump you. Gasping in surprise, you try to gently shake him off, but that seemingly just gets himself off faster, as you feel a foreign wetness against your skin, “What the fuck? Are you serious, N’Doul?!” Annoyed with the way he’s suddenly acting, once you finish washing your hands, you reach down, and scoop the bun up, “That’s not cool, bro. Because of that, you can wait in my room while I shower.”
Plopping him in his bunny bed, you turn on your heel, and hurry back into the bathroom, closing the door before he can follow you inside.
-
Stepping out of your shower, you wrap yourself securely with your plush towel. Not bothering to wipe off the steam from your mirror, you bust out of the bathroom, only to be greeted with your now empty room. The door leading to the hallway is wide open, and your bunny is nowhere to be seen. Completely stupefied, you have no idea how to respond. Did the bun hop up high enough to hit the handle? That should be impossible! A Holland Lop is big, but not that big!
“N’Doul? Bun? Where on Earth did you go?” Deeming your bunny’s safety higher than you changing into clothing, you quickly move out of your room clad in only your towel.
You go room by room, searching frantically for your beloved pet. He has to be here somewhere!
So, when you finally make it to your living room/kitchen, you let out a yell of fear. There, on your couch, is a naked, bunny eared, buff man who’s humping into your previously used panties, “Who the hell are you! Get the fuck out of my house!” Reaching for the baseball bat in the hallway, you hold it up with one hand threateningly, the other currently holding your towel.
A deep, rumbling laugh is heard from the mysterious man, who then tosses aside your soiled panties, “Don't be like that, Love. Your N’Doul only getting myself ready for you.”
“What the fuck are you talking about? And what did you do with my bunny?” He chuckles, relishing your cute reaction.
“I’m your bunny, (Your Name). I’m N’Doul.”
“The hell you are! Get out, before I bash your skull in!” He stands to his feet, completely towering over you. Gulping in fear, you move backwards, but then you notice his eyes. They’re the same milky white your bun has, “I-I’m warning you! Stay away from me, you creep!”
He holds his hands up in mock surrender, showing how large his hands are compared to yours, “I’m not going to hurt you- I wouldn’t be a good mate if I did.”
Without thinking, you chuck your baseball bat at his bunny-eared head, before turning and running to your room. You hear the metal bat make contact, along with a yelp of pain. Locking your door behind you, you search your room for your car keys. Not long after you dump out your purse in pursuit of your keys, you hear loud footsteps thumping towards you.
A loud bang echoes throughout the room, as the man’s hit practically shakes the foundation of the wall, “Open the door, (Your Name)! Open it right now!” He sounds angry, and when you don’t respond fast enough, he starts trying to break down the door, his muscled body practically bending the thin wood with each body slam.
Screaming in fear, you start to cry. Thick tears drip down your face, as you plead with him to stop, “I-I don’t want to! Get out of my house!”
With one last mighty slam, the humanized N’Doul breaks into your bedroom. His nose is bleeding from the bat hitting him in the face, but other than that, he’s completely unscathed. Hearing you cry, he immediately goes to shush you, “Don’t cry, Love. Now that you’re considered an adult in your species, we can finally begin our life together.”
To his chagrin, you continue to sob, completely scared out of your mind, “No! Get out! Stop pretending to be my bunny, it’s weird!” He approaches you slowly, his much bigger form slightly bumping into a few pieces of furniture. This gives you enough time to make a break for it.
You try to round his form, almost making it to what’s left of your bedroom door, only to be stopped by a meaty arm practically slamming you onto your bed. Trying to get up, you quickly realise that escape is impossible, as his muscular legs practically trap you against your mattress. He uses his weight to hold you down, as he bites into your neck, trying to make you submit.
“Shh, stop resisting me, my Love. I promise that I’ll take care of you for the rest of our lives,” He continues to bite at you, as your screams are muffled into your sheets.
His large hands rip your towel off of you, exposing your slightly wet body to his prying fingers. The rough pads of his fingers rub at your erect nipples and unprepared slit, trying to get you as wet as possible.
“You’ll be a wonderful mother, I can tell you were made for this,” His cock head bumps against your tight entrance, forcing itself in as you scream.
He starts a breakneck pace almost immediately, relishing how your walls massage him so sinfully- as if you were made for only him, his inexperienced fingers rub at your clit harshly, trying to make this as pleasurable for you as possible,
Whilst this was happening, a bolt of pure pleasure shot up your spine, as he hit a certain gummy patch in your pussy, causing you to gush uncontrollably. Loud keens escape your gaping mouth, as his harsh ministrations are enough to almost make you cum immediately.
“Fuck, your body accepts me so perfectly, Love. It’s like it knows I’m going to pump you full of kits,” He lightly slaps at your clit, causing you to seize up in orgasm, quickly throwing him over the edge as well. Hot, virile cum overflows your womb, his swimmers quickly inseminating you. But it’s not enough. N’Doul, moments after orgasm, bucks into you even harsher than before, wanting to push as much of his cum as possible inside of you, “My perfect mate, I love you so much! I knew you were the one for me from the first time I met you! Only the love of my life would accept me even with my blindness!”
Still sensitive from before, the both of you hustle over the edge in mere moments, your release squirting all over the both of you.
“We’re not stopping until I know that you're pregnant, my love. Our wonderful kits are such a good birthday present, no?”

Wanda x Natasha x Reader
Reader is little, part of Loving a little series
Summary: Reader is on a mission. What happens when she gets hurt???
Notes: Hiiii guys, don’t forget to leave a comment :)
You were on a mission. Since you’ve got your new powers you’ve been going on missions more often. You are on a mission with Natasha and Wanda, although you were the only one who was out on the field. There was no one in the base and all you needed was to get some information. You are running through the woods towards the Hydra base.
Your lungs burn and your legs ache, but you keep running. The training didn’t seem to be helping you run for longer. You wish you had powers like Wanda. If you had powers like Wanda then you could just fly. Wait. You have fire powers, and possibly more. Suddenly you stop running to find yourself floating. Just like Wanda. What the?
“Guys, Wanda!!”
“What?!? What’s wrong, did you get hurt??”
“I’m floating, like you when you use your powers, but the magic isn’t red, it’s green. It looks like your guy’s eyes,” You say with adoration. Wanda and Natasha smile at each other at how cute you are.
“What did you do?” Natasha asks.
“Well I was thinking of how I wish I had powers like Wanda so I could fly to the Hydra base instead of running.” You say through your coms.
“And the next thing I know, I’m floating!” You exclaim.
“That’s great baby, you'll have to show me when we get home,” Wanda says.
“Now you can teach me!!” You squeal happily.
“Yes baby, now I can teach you. But you have to finish the mission first,” Wanda says.
“Oh right,” You say.
“Hey, so now how do I get down?” You ask, still just hovering above the ground.
“I don’t really know, maybe just think of the ground?” Natasha says after a while. You stare at the ground. Nothing happens so you close your eyes and let the overwhelming thought of the ground fill your mind. One moment you are floating ten feet above the ground and the next you are free falling down towards the ground.
When you hit the ground your right ankle takes the brunt of the fall, you land on it awkwardly and scream out in pain. Tear prick in your eyes and little you wants to come out so bad. But you fight it, you have to finish the mission first. You slowly pick yourself up putting all the weight on your left foot. You think that it’s not that bad, you just feel a lot of throbbing pain in your right ankle, nothing a good walk wouldn’t fix. You take a deep breath and take a step with your right foot, and you groan out in agony when you shift your weight.
“Jesus, Mary and Joseph!” You say taking a shuddering breath.
“Are you back on the ground?” Wanda says through coms.
“Uh y-yeah, I’m back on the groun-ah,” You say as you take another step.
“Baby? What happened?” Natasha says worried over the coms.
“Nothing I-I just fell on my ankle weird, I’m fi-ah-ne,” You say sniffing as you take another step. You don’t hear anything back on the other end, believing that you convinced them that you were fine. You take step after step, breathing heavily as tears fall from your eyes every step. You hear something behind you and you set yourself aflame.
“Hey, it’s just me baby,” Wanda says to you, as you turn around unlighting yourself.
“What are you doing?”
“Checking up on you, come on you need to go back to the jet.” She says walking towards you.
“No, I'm fine, I've got to finish the mission,” You say as you start walking again. You groan out in pain every time you shift your weight to your right foot. Wanda watches you for a little while, but it breaks her heart to see you in pain.
“Y/N stop,”
“No, gotta fin-ah-ish t-the mission,” you say, taking another step.
“Please don’t make me do this,” Wanda says, as you keep walking.
“Do what?” Taking another step. You stop and look back at her, she walks towards you, her eyes glinting a red.
“Wanda, don’t do it,” You warn her.
“Hey, look there’s Tasha,” You say pointing behind her. She looks behind her to find nothing. You hobble away as fast as you can letting out sounds of pain. You didn’t make it very far before you are swept up by Wanda and flying through the air. Surrounded by her arms, you relax and grumble about not being able to finish the mission. Eventually you rest your head in the crook of the neck and kiss her.
“Thank you,” You say to her.
“You’re welcome baby,” She says back. When you get back to the jet Natasha is already waiting for you. Wanda sets you down and you take off your shoes sitting down next to you and holding your hand. Careful, not to touch your purple swollen ankle. Natasha carefully grabbed your right foot.
“Ahhh, Tasha,” You hiss out in pain and squeeze Wanda’s hand. She gives you a sympathetic look and grabs some pain pills, you take them.
“You’re gonna have you get that checked by Bruce baby, it might be broken.” Natasha says. You whine, if it’s broken then you won’t be able to do anything. At least not with Wanda and Natasha being mother hens.
“No it’s fine, I promise.” You lie to them.
“Oh yeah? Stand up and put all your weight on your right foot.” Natasha says back. You look up at her.
“Baby, we don’t like seeing you hurt, we just want to make sure you’re okay,” Wanda says squeezing your hand.
“I know,” You say back, setting your head on her shoulder. Wanda strokes your hair while Natasha pilots the plane. You move so you're laying down, head in Wanda’s lap. You eventually fall asleep when the pain medicine pills kick in holding Wanda’s hand still.
When you wake up it’s to someone carrying you. You snuggle in closer to the person holding you.
“Hi baby, how are you feeling?” Wanda asks as she feels you move against her.
“Mmmm good,” You say sleepy.
“I see the pain pills are working,” Wanda says.
“Mhmm, stop talking lemme sleep,” You say to her.
“Baby you have to get checked by Bruce first,” Wanda says to you. You whine and snuggle further into Wanda.
“You have until we get there, then I’m gonna have to put you down baby,” Wanda says, that means you have at least 3 more minutes, depending on how long the elevator will take. In reality it only takes 30 seconds.
“We’re here baby,” Wanda says as she tries to set you down. You wrap your arms around her tightly and wrap your legs around her too. Going into full koala mode.
“Baby, don’t make me do it,” Wanda says.
“Do what?” Suddenly feel Wand’s hands at you sides.
“Wand’s don’t you dare.” You say looking at her seriously.
“Then get down and get your ankle checked.” Wanda says as her fingers move a little.
“Fine,” You say with a whine, untangling your arms and legs from her, hitting your ankle on her leg.
“Ahhh,” You gasp out in pain.
“Hello Y/N, I see that your ankle is a bit swollen and a nice shade of purple.” Bruce says with a smile.
“Is Natasha coming, or can I start.” Bruce asks.
“No she’s bringing everything to our room, she said she’d meet us after,” Wanda says. Bruce checks your ankle and deems it’s broken after an x-ray. He says you’ll need a shot that will heal it instantly. Tony and him just made it and need a test subject other than a bunny, so what better test subject than you?
“Can I go get Bunny and the love blanket please?” You ask Wanda with big puppy dog eyes.
“Yes baby, let’s go.”
“Wait, I can get it myself, please I promise ill be careful, I'll even fly if it makes you feel better,” You say to Wanda with pleading eyes.
“Okay fine, but no flying, that’s how you got this broken ankle anyways. I’m only letting you do this because I have to talk to Bruce about your new power.”
“Okay no flying, promise,” You swear on your life. You walk out the room and make your way to your room. You walk up the stairs and quickly look around. You don’t see anybody around so you quickly get into the vents. Clint had taught you how to get around in the vents whenever there was an emergency. And this is an emergency. You hate shots with every fiber in your body. Absolutely hate them. So you’re hiding out in the vents for as long as it takes for your ankle to heal.
Wanda was getting worried, your room isn’t far away and you have been gone for ten minutes.
“Hey Bruce, I’ll be back. I'm going to check where Y/N is.” Wanda says while she walks out. She makes her way up to your room. When she enters she finds Natasha sitting on the bed.
“Hey, where’s Y/N?” Natasha asks.
“Wait? Did she not come here?”
“No why would she come here?”
“She said that she wanted to get Bunny and the love blanket before her shot.”
“Ohhh! She’s probably hiding, you know she doesn’t like shots.” Natasha says holding Wanda’s hand.
“Great, now we have to look for her.” Wanda says with a groan.
“I have an idea where she is,” Natasha says.
“Clint told me he showed Y/N the vents in case of an emergency.”
“He what?!? Why would he do that, doesn’t he know that she’s a three year old little, she could get lost in there,” Wanda says with her head in her hands.
“Hey, baby it’s okay. We'll find her and set some rules for her, okay? Everything will be fine,” Natasha says hugging Wanda. Wanda and Natasha get up and go downstairs. You can hear them walking down.
“Y/N? Hey I know you’re scared but I need you to come out now,” Natasha says out loud not really knowing which vent you are in.
“Wait let me try,” Wanda says to Natasha.
“Baby girl? I need you to come out from wherever you are okay baby girl? Mama needs you to come out.” Wanda says.
“Mama!” You say happily, coming out and waddling twordas her. You make grabby hands at her and she smiles and picks you up. You rest your head on her shoulder.
“Mama, hurts,” You say.
“I know baby girl, you are gonna have to get a shot and it will make it all better” Wanda says.
“Nooo,” You whine and try to get out of Wanda’s arms.
“Yes baby girl, you have to get it,” Natasha says. Wanda and Natasha walk you all the way back to the medbay where Bruce is already waiting with the shot.
You start to cry as she sets you down and Bruce takes your ankle gently.
“You’re gonna feel a little pinch and then it will be over, okay Y/N?” Bruce asks. It really didn’t hurt that bad but you still balled your eyes out, the pain in your ankle instantly went away.
“Do you want Mama to carry you back to the room baby girl?” She asks. You shake your head no because you’re mad at both of them for making you get the shot. You rub your arm across your face angrily and get off the bed you were on. You walk with a pout and anger on your face back to your room. Wanda and Natasha follow behind you.
When you get back to your room Natasha had made your favorite and it is waiting on the table next to your bed for you. You get up on the bed and look straight ahead with your pout.
“Do you want something to eat baby?” Natasha asks. You make a noise of no.
“Are you sure baby girl, I made your favorite,” Natasha says, a little hurt that you don’t want the food she made special for you.
“No!” You say loudly.
“Do you want Bunny?” Wanda asks you.
“No!” You say again. Wanda and Natasha look at each other.
“Okay, well we have to go baby, we’ll be back in a bit okay?” Wanda says. You don’t look at them even as they get up and leave. When they shut the door you stare at it. You wait for them to come back, but they don't, so the door stays closed. You wait and wait, until all the anger goes away along with your pout. You look over at the food Natasha made you. Now all you want is Mama and Mommy. You get up from the bed and open the door.
“Mama, Mommy?” You say looking to the left.
“Yes baby girl?” Natasha says startling you. You jump a little but when you see them smile at you, you run into their arms.
“M’sorry,” You say while hugging them.
“It’s okay baby girl, do you want to eat now?” Natasha asks. You shake your head pulling them back into the room.
After you eat you snuggle up with Wanda and Natasha in bed, Bunny in your arms and the love blanket wrapped around all three of you.
“We love you baby girl.” Wanda says as she sees you start to drift off.
“Mmm love you too,” You say sleepily. They watch as you fall asleep in their arms, and slowly drift off with you.

No Regrets [in the wee hours]
Took a bit longer than expected, but I’ve finished the next little story! Hopefully I’ll be able to keep a decent pace on these. No overarching plot, just little stories in the same universe with the same characters. Warning for ~*murder*~ in this one!
-------------
I've been all-too-easy to wake up since I was a child; I'd often needed to go from dead asleep to functional, if groggy, as soon as I heard my father demanding action or attention. While I no longer need that reaction time, the old man long since locked up to rot, my brain is set in its ways and very convinced that I need to be able to bolt out of bed and fight God if a dust bunny moves too quickly in my vicinity.
Which is how I found myself waking up in the middle of the night, the sudden shift in the atmosphere bringing on consciousness with all the subtlety of a foghorn.
My room was silent, still, but I knew without opening my eyes that there was a spirit somewhere, and I didn't even give them a chance to speak before I pointed at the sign posted on my wall, barely shifting from my comfortable snuggle in my blanket and not even opening my eyes. Yes, this happens more often than I care to admit. No, I do not enjoy it. At all.
"Resurrection hours are noon to eight. I'm still alive and still need sleep to function."
There was silence, but the presence didn't leave, so I groaned and raised my head, finally opening my eyes to see the translucent, vaguely glowing, and unfortunately blurry spirit at the foot of my bed.
It did finally speak in a bewildered voice.
"Um, I'm being murdered."
Ah, fuck.
I grabbed my glasses from the bedside table and put them on. The spirit at the foot of my bed was tallish -- I've always been bad at estimating height, maybe half a foot shorter than Yvette? Five-nine... ish? -- and seemed to be in his twenties. There was a considerable dark stain on his chest and belly; likely blood, and the cause of his death. The newly-dead tend to show things like that, as they haven't had the time to get used to modifying their form.
I really hate it when brand new ones find me. I'm not sure how it started, but it seems like more and more often, now, the dead are drawn to No Regrets before they even realize they're dead, at least if they're the type to need my help. Wish I wasn't the one who had to break it to him. I'm not great with people.
"Sorry, bro, but I'm afraid they succeeded. Where was it? I'll get the police over there."
"Uhh... my house. I think. It's a little..."
I sighed. Right.
"You're probably a little out of it still... fresh dead usually are. C'mon, I'll take you around until things look familiar."
Climbing out of bed, I headed over to grab my hoodie from the back of the chair. I learned the hard way that sleeping is not a tits out sort of occasion when you're liable to get the dead dropping in at all hours of the night, so I sleep in pajama pants and a tank top. Little too chilly for tank tops outside, though. I shoved my phone in my hoodie and my feet into loafers, then started heading out of my room and down the hall.
"You remember your name?" I asked, trying to make conversation and learn what I could.
"Uh, Davis. Craig? Craig Davis."
"Well, Craig Davis, I'm sorry to hear about your passing. You're gonna need to possess me for this little adventure, by the way, but I'll walk you through it once we're outside."
"I- what?"
Considering how often I find myself lost in normal conversations, dealing with confused new spirits is especially difficult. Still shaking off my body's angry demands for More Sleep was not helping matters in the slightest, either.
"Possession. I'll explain it in just a minute." I rubbed an eye and yawned as I stopped in the foyer to pull a set of keys off one of the hooks on the wall.
Usually, I've got a driver. Not for vanity reasons, but after three or four near-misses caused by Sudden Spirits appearing in the car with me, I elected to hire someone to drive me into and around town as needed. But it was Fuck-This-Shit O'Clock in the morning, and Graves deserved their rest. The dead don't need to sleep, but they can if they so choose -- and it does, after all, conserve energy. The same goes for Yvette and Ashby; it was too early in the morning for most people to be out and searching for a necromancer to kill, so I wasn't gonna disturb them. I could handle a simple spirit chauffeur and 911 call on my own.
The keys were to the motor scooter; it was the better choice in this situation, allowing for more mobility and no passenger seat for any extra ghosts to drop into. That did, though, mean that Craig would need to ride shotgun in my body.
When I got out to the green scooter in the driveway, I paused and looked over at Craig.
"Hey, I know you're probably still a little out of it, so Possession 101." Script time. At least having this stuff memorized made it easier to do while dozy. "Our bodies need to take up the same space, so c'mere." I beckoned Craig over.
"So like… step into you?" He asked. Good, seemed like his head was clearing up some.
"Yeah, that's part 1."
He nodded and complied, crossing the space between us and settling in the same location, the two of us clipped into each other like bugged NPCs. It always felt so weird, those moments before a spirit actually possesses you. A sort of wobbly, in-and-out feeling like physics is trying to crush you and the spirit together, or, failing that, just kick your ass to the ground so you're not both in the same place at the same time.
"A'ight, now turn around and face the direction I’m facing, and overlay your hands onto mine as best you can." It was just a moment for him to obey, and I continued. "I'm not resisting, so you're gonna start feeling like you're being pulled in and pushed out at the same time. Space is trying to equalize. Let yourself be pulled in. It's gonna feel a bit like-"
The whirlpool effect kicked in before I could finish, the sudden snap and release of tension as Craig's spirit sank into my body. I wobbled a bit and grabbed the handlebar in front of me, then shivered at the sudden chill and dizziness. I'm pretty good at taking on passengers like this, but that didn't make it any more pleasant.
"You in there, buddy?" I asked out loud. Especially with new spirits, trying to think at each other was more trouble than it was worth. My lips moved to answer, though it wasn't my voice coming out.
"Uh- yeah. Yeah I'm here."
I grabbed the helmet hanging on the other handlebar and snapped it on, kicking the stand up and plopping heavily onto the seat.
"Great. Let's go."
"Wait, why am I not in control?" came Craig's confused voice. He felt almost frustrated, an undercurrent of emotion that wasn't mine despite being in my mind and body.
"Because this is my body, and I let you in willingly. Easier to keep control when you're letting someone in. Plus," I gave a little snort. "You just died, dude. I've been letting spirits possess me since middle school."
I felt his frustration turn to grumpiness, and then the pressure in my head, like a storm rolling in, that I knew from experience was him trying to take control. I froze and let out an irritated huff.
"You stop that. I'm not dealing with you doing some dumb shit with my body. Either chill out or get out."
"Oh- uh. Just wanted to see if I could…"
"Uh-huh. Anyhow, now that you're together enough to try joyriding, do you remember much about where you were before you were killed?"
I started up the scooter as emotions rolled through my mind, detached and distant, almost like the muffled dissociation I was used to mid-shutdown. Possessing spirits' emotions always felt weird like that, both mine and not mine, held at arm's length. Craig's was especially turbulent for a new death, but given that he had been murdered… I didn't fault him for being a little confused and angry. Even if it did put me a little on edge.
"Uh- South Pine Street, Dogwood Acres housing development."
"Baller. That's not far from here. Once we get close to your body, you should be able to feel where it is, so I'll have a house number for the police. Don't want to have them scream in all blue lights and loud sirens and have your killer go to ground before they know which house, y'know?"
The muffled flare of anger that I felt was definitely not my own. I took a deep breath, hoped that the killer had panicked and tried to clean up instead of get rid of the body first, and puttered off towards Dogwood.
The housing development was quiet, lines upon lines of identical suburban boxes lit by flickering street lights that cast the sidewalks and yards in harsh white light. The occasional house had the glow of yellow within, but most of them were dormant. Weaving my way through the maze of streets, each one absolutely indistinguishable from the one before and the one to come, I felt terribly exposed -- and alone despite the spirit currently hitching along in my body.
I turned onto South Pine and brought my scooter to a puttering stop, stabilizing it with both feet on the ground. I couldn't help but bounce my legs to replace the vibration of driving; the sudden lack of sensation would ratchet my anxiety up even if I wasn't currently letting a frustrated dead man hang out in my head to catch his murderer.
...I should be more than a little anxious, really, but half-asleep Tabby once again wrote a check that more-awake Tabby is having to cash, and more-awake Tabby is very used to having to deal with the consequences of her idiot decisions. It occurred to me that normal peoples' consequences didn't usually involve murder, but when you live with the dead, you're bound to meet a few killers.
Two houses down, I could feel- not a tug so much as a presence, an echo of Craig's spirit reacting to his body. It was the only one on the street with its lights on and its garage, while not lit, was open. There was a car in the garage, another in the driveway, and a pickup at the curb in front.
"258?" I asked Craig, though I knew the answer already. His anger flared and I felt the oncoming storm again. I snapped at him. "That's two strikes, Craig. I'm sorry for your death, but if you end up driving my body into a crime scene or, god forbid, getting me killed next, I will kick your ass to whatever afterlife you're headed for and stay there to keep kicking it for eternity."
Big words for a short fat lady, but this is, in fact, my body on the line right now. I probably wouldn't be able to follow through on any ass-kicking, but dammit, I would try.
Craig was silent, and I could feel him steaming, petulant like a child denied a toy but with the power of a grown man behind it. With my stomach tying itself in knots and my hands starting to tremble, I dialed 911, hoping it would help quell the rising panic.
"258 South Pine Street. I think there's been a murder. I don't know the state of the crime scene or if the perp is still there, but you might be able to catch them if you hurry. The victim is Craig Davis, white adult male, either shot or stabbed in the chest, likely multiple times-"
"Wait, is this Tabby? The necro girl?"
Oh god I hope that isn't what the operators call me regularly-- I know I'm a bit of a 911 cryptid, since the usual intruder calls are to the non-emergency line, but if I get known as the necro girl I might have to move to a different state.
"Yeah, uh, necromancer, yeah-" I couldn't help but stumble over my words, now, with my train of thought derailed by the interruption. "-uh, murder?"
"Right! I'll send someone."
I murmured a thanks and hung up before she could ask me to stay on the line. I already had to stay around for the cops so Craig could give a statement, and making small talk with the 911 operator was not in the spoons tonight.
I don't like cops much, but in my line of work, they're kind of a necessity. I need to stay on the police force's good side because I need them to remove attempted murderers from my property on the regular. ...and also because graverobbing is still technically illegal, even if I do have the body owner's permission to dig them up.
At least most of the locals who know of me and my employees are chill about it. It took a bit of effort to get to that point, but now at least people don't run screaming from the less-presentable of my employees…
The blue lights of the police showed up fairly quickly, followed almost immediately by the red flashing of EMS. I puttered up slowly and parked my scooter just out of range as the officers set to work surrounding the house, then hung my helmet on a handlebar and walked up the rest of the way to watch the impending train wreck. I could feel Craig's anger boiling higher and tried my best to ignore it; Craig himself seemed to have fallen silent and sullen after I called him out.
"Tabby!"
I was standing just off to the side of the ambulance when someone stepped up behind me and called my name, making me jump and cringe.
"Oh- oh dear, I'm sorry, Tabs. I thought I heard you were the one who called this in!"
I straightened up immediately, face burning. I recognized that voice, bright and smooth and kind and--
"J-Jenna!" My voice was barely a squeak as I turned to face her, looking up at the round, dark face of one of the EMTs. She was a good six feet tall, maybe more, towering above me even in her uniform flats, with a brilliant smile and full lips and gorgeous natural hair pulled through the back of her uniform cap, the streetlight illuminating her from behind like a halogen angel.
Jenna had shown up to one of my early calls for assistance at No Regrets, and then she kept turning up, not every time I was in a situation where I'd be around EMTs, but often.
Concern showed on her face as she leaned to look me over.
"Are you okay? Did you see it happen, or-"
I shook my head, buying time to sort out words by tapping my temple with a finger.
"N-no, I uh- the victim woke me up, he's in here, uh, in case the cops need somethin' from him."
"Oh… are you getting enough sleep, dear? You sound exhausted. Do you want to sit in the back of the truck?"
It took me a second or two to recover from the way she called me dear, my face burning bright red. I couldn't make eye contact even for the second or two I can usually manage so that people don't immediately think I'm being dishonest.
"I- uh- um- w-well, it's, uh, it is like 4am--" I stammered, trying desperately to find words. "I-I guess 'm sleepin' okay, uh, how're… you doing??"
I have never been a great orator and the list of why that is gets a bit longer with every um and stutter.
Jenna's face bloomed into a gorgeous, open grin.
"I'm on 12-hour overnights right now, so I'm basically at least 60 percent Red Bull at any given time. Everyone okay up there at the House? Last I heard y'all were digging up half the lawn.”
I nodded, unable to keep from grinning. At least this was a subject I could talk to her about without making an absolute ass of myself--
"Yeah! The new girl, Chris, she's gotten Daryl and Roy to help her get the vegetable garden going! It's plenty big enough to take care of all of us, and I worked out a deal with the soup kitchen so that they get any of our excess, once things are running smoothly, and I can use their account to buy from that bulk food program that's usually only open to chari- oop-!" I bit my tongue and cringed. Right. I'm pretty sure that's technically fraud and I just admitted to it in front of-
There was a commotion from the house that snapped me back to attention, and the cops were leading a man out in handcuffs. He looked pale and shaken, spattered in blood, and not quite… present, like he had just checked out of reality for his own good. That… was a familiar look. I furrowed my brow. He certainly didn't look like a maniacal killer-
"He caught me with his wife," I said. Well. Craig said. I jumped. Jenna jumped. I flushed and covered my mouth reflexively.
"N-no that was him! The victim!" I squeaked. Jenna laughed, a hearty belly laugh, and covered her own mouth, though she was doing a terrible job of hiding her grin.
"I figured! If he caught you with his wife, it would be an upgrade!"
At this point, you could probably fry an egg on my face. Hell, my glasses were starting to fog up-- I stammered for a few moments, trying desperately to find something to say, and it was Craig who saved me, if you could call it that. I was too caught up in my embarrassment and awkwardness to realize how much anger and frustration he was radiating.
"Motherfucker told me he'd have my job! Son of a bitch thinks he can get away with doing this to me, he's gonna fucking pay--"
The oncoming storm crashed over me before I could get a grip on it, and all of a sudden I was lumbering forward, snarling words that weren't my own, and dragging a gardening pickaxe out of my truck -- Craig's truck -- on my way to the man and the cops--
I let out a shriek, in my own voice, feeling the sound cutting my throat raw. I wrested control of my body back with a lurch, falling on my ass in the yard with the force of it while the silvery-blue form of Craig was ejected from my body, screaming obscenities.
I threw my hand forward, fighting for whatever thoughts and words I could find to fix this. I saw Craig right himself and move back towards me, and the first incantation -- if you could call it that -- that my brain grasped left my lips in a single desperate breath, with a dizzying rush of power--
"INTHENAMEOFTHEMOONIBANISHYOU--!!"
The force of the hurried exorcism rushed outward like a sonic boom, strong enough for even the mundanes around me to feel, and Craig's spirit let out a yowl of rage for a brief second before twisting around itself and collapsing in with a sickening crunch, crushing smaller and smaller until it was gone.
I winced -- not my best exorcism. At all.
As the flare of adrenaline dropped almost immediately and I came back to myself properly, I realized -- blurrily, as my glasses had gotten thrown off somewhere -- at least two officers had their weapons half-drawn at me, though they were looking over at where Craig's spirit had disappeared.
I collapsed the rest of the way onto the grass, shaking, and covered my face with my hands, trying with everything within me not to start crying. I should have realized he'd try something like that, why hadn't I been paying attention- I could have been attacked, I could have been arrested, I could have had to watch myself beat a man to death and I- fuck--
The sob that came out was squeaky and pained, and I pressed my hands harder against my face, like that would stop anything else from going wrong. I should have brought someone-- I shouldn't have let him possess me-- I should have been paying more attention--
Warm tears ran from the corners of my eyes, down my cheeks, to pool in my ears, making my already-trembling body shiver harder with the unpleasant sensation. I'd let myself get complacent, hadn't lost control of a possession like that in years, and- I'd almost- fuck--
"Honey, honey, sit up for me. Tabby? C'mon, let's get you up--"
Numbly, I let Jenna help me into a sitting position, where she wrapped a blanket around me and pressed an open bottle of water into my hands.
"Take slow sips. Are you okay? Just shaken?"
I nodded, some part of me grateful that I couldn't quite see her face properly without my glasses, because I didn't want to see what she thought about me after that. She sighed, though, and sounded relieved when she murmured "Good."
My whole body felt like jelly, trembling so hard I could feel the water in the bottle sloshing around, and I kept flashing from too hot to too cold to too hot again, and I couldn't even sort out my thoughts--
Jenna sat down beside me and rubbed my back. If I wasn't having a complete breakdown, I might have enjoyed it.
I don't know how long it took for me to calm down and clear my head, but the car with the other man had left, and the other EMTs had loaded Craig's body into the ambulance while Jenna sat next to me and made sure I was doing okay.
After a while, though, I blinked and shifted my torso, then opened the blanket more and cursed at the bloom of red on my hoodie.
I heard Jenna curse as well as she stood up, but I grabbed her pants leg.
"N-no, 'm okay," I mumbled, and instead of trying to speak more, I reached to pull my hoodie and tank up my stomach to show bruised, but completely unbroken skin, covered in blood, rivulets following my stretch marks and making it look even worse despite my being otherwise completely uninjured. "See, 'm okay." This was not the first time I've had a possession lead to the dead's cause of death showing on my own body. It wasn't even the bloodiest.
Jenna sat back down, and I could see her leaning in a bit.
"Well damn. Magic ghost stuff, huh?"
I nodded.
"Magic ghost stuff."
I could see the flash of white against dark skin as she grinned.
"So that exorcism… Artemis or Usagi?"
It took me a moment to parse her.question, but all of a sudden I was completely back to myself, just in time to absolutely die of embarrassment.
"L-listen, I- y-you can exorcise i-in anyone's name, i-it's the power and conviction that counts--!!"
"Usagi, then." I could hear the laughter in her voice, laughter that bubbled out moments later. I wanted to crawl in a hole in embarrassment, but- it didn't feel like condescending laughter. I knew what that felt like. She seemed just genuinely amused. "I grew up with Sailor Moon, too."
I couldn't stop the squeak that eaked out, and I covered my face again.
"G-god I hope word about this doesn't get out, people already think I-I'm weird enough, and to- to fall back on anime for magic i-in a pinch is just--"
"Cute," Jenna finished.
I squeaked.
Jenna moved away for a moment, and then she settled my glasses on my nose. I couldn't make eye contact, but I did glance over at her and sheepishly murmur my thanks.
"The officers still want a statement from you, since you made the call and tried to go after the perp, but I don't think they're looking at any charges, given…" Jenna trailed off and looked over at where Craig had disappeared. "...yeah."
I nodded, slowly, and then found myself yawning, the adrenaline drop setting in especially hard.
"...d'you think it can wait 'til tomorrow… 've kinda had a rough night."
"I think they'll be okay with that."

Field Trip
A/N: I’ve been working on this pic for a while, I hope you guys like it :)
Pairing: Jake Sim x fem! reader
Word count: 5.2k
Genre: fluff, high school au
Warning: mentions of virginity loss and porn, occasional swearing, nothing else I think
“How many shirts should I take?” Jake asks you through your phone.
“Uhm, we’re there for three days so take four just incase.” you reply and you pack your suitcase as well.
You two were preparing for your five day field trip to New York which was happening tomorrow.
You packed your favorite jeans and hoodies and even a dress just in case. You can't help but romanticize the hell out of New York after being stuck in this small town all your life.
“How many pairs of underwear should I take?” he asks again and you giggle. He’s like a kid sometimes.  “How many times do you think you’ll change your underwear?” you say while sitting on your suitcase to get it to zip closed.
“Probably three but I’ll take four just in case.”
“What a quick learner.” you say and you hear him scoff.
Jake has been your best friend since elementary school when you scraped your knee during tag and he took you to the nurse’s office. He’s been a sweetie since day one.
“I doubt I’m gonna get any sleep tonight,” you sigh. “I’m too riled up.”
“Same,” he sighs. “I wonder how many flashers we’ll run into.”
You laugh. “Why is that the first thing you think of you creep.”
“Hey now,’ he chuckles. “I thought that was the stereotype.”
You hop onto your bed and pick your phone up, it looks like Jake’s doing the same. All you can see are his eyes and a bit of his nose bridge. His dark hair has started to grow out and it was poking at his eyelids.
Your phone pings with a text from Jake. It’s a horrendous screenshot of you climbing over your phone to get into bed. You gasp.
“I’ll kill you.” you tell him as he’s holding in his laugh. “I will do it.”
His laugh bursts out of his throat, jolly and warm. “Why I love it.”
“I hate you so much. Delete it.”
“No way,” he bunches his brows. “You have an entire photo album dedicated to bad pictures of me.”
“And I also have an entire album dedicated to good pictures of you.” you roll your eyes.
“You do?” he asks. “That’s a bit fangirly of you.”
“Me? A fangirl? Maybe Madeline but not me.” you scoff.
“Madeline?” his voice perks up. “She likes me?”
“Yeah, I thought you knew this.” you swear that you’ve brought this up before. Maybe he just forgot.
“Nuh-uh.” he says.
“Well...” you say. “do you like her back.”
“I mean she’s nice but,” he hesitates. “not really.”
“Why not? She’s smart and super pretty. I'm so jealous of her hair.” you say. Madeline was a tan ginger girl with curly fiery hair down to the small of her back.
“You have nice hair.” he says nonchalantly.
You touch it and rub it between your fingers. “It’s whatever.”
He scoffs. “You’re too hard on yourself all the time.”
“I’m a teenage girl, I can’t help it.” You defend yourself, but he isn’t lying.
“I’m bored, can I come over?” he says suddenly.
“Tonight? We have school tomorrow.” you reply.
“Maybe I’ll just sleep over.” he says while turning over in his bed. “I don’t think our parents would care.”
Sleepover? You two hadn’t done that since you turned eleven.
“Where would you sleep?” you ask him, already imagining how this would go.
“I don’t know on the floor.” he shrugs.
“I’m not letting you sleep on the floor I’ll feel bad.” you argue.
“I don’t care, I’m the one who suggested it, plus I miss you dude, I wanna hang out.” he says and you smile.
“I saw you on Friday.”
“Yeah, a whole two days ago.” he gets up off his bed. “Okay I’ll be there in ten.”
“What-” you start but he cuts you off.
He brings the camera up close to his face and he flashes you a smile. “Bye!” he hangs up.
Your palms feel a bit sweaty and you brush them off on your pants. Why am I nervous? You guys have had plenty of sleepovers before but the rest of the boys were always there, probably passed out from beer or a sugar crash.
You tidy your room up a bit and prepare a little blanket bed on the floor right next to your actual bed.
You hear knocking at the door right when you expected, Jake was hardly ever late.
“Hola~” he says as he walks in with his backpack on. He takes his shoes off before skipping over to your room. You giggle to yourself.
He falls back onto your bed with a big sigh. “I missed being here.”
“Why? There’s nothing cool here. Your house is way cooler.” you say and he smiles.
“Well I can’t deny that,” he shrugs and you punch him in the arm. “you’re the one who said it.”
“We get it rich boy.” you roll your eyes and sit down next to him.
“I’m just playing,” he sits up. “you know that.”
“I hope you showered after practice,” you say. “I don’t want you stinking up my bed.”
He whips his head to you, looking a little bit offended. “I am very clean alright? Here smell my hair.” he shoves his head into your face.
You let out a strangled noise and try to push him away. “Okay, okay!”
“No smell it,” he keeps his hair up in your face, it’s tickling your nose. “smells like mangos right.”
Admitedly, he's right. It smells like mangos.
“Yes it does,” you squeak out. “now please respect my personal bubble.” you spread your arms out and create an imaginary bubble between you two. He tries to tug at your arm but you bellow in a robot voice. “PERSONAL BUBBLE PERSONAL BUBBLE.”
“Fine, fine.” he falls back onto your bed again, laughing. “Lets watch something.”
You follow suit and tug your laptop into your lap.
“Hold on,” you get up and close your window, it was starting to get too cold.
You shimmy under your covers and pull up Netflix.
“Scary movie?” you click on the horror section.
“Sure but you probably won’t be able to sleep.” he teases and you roll your eyes.
“That was years ago.” you start to scroll through the movies.
“Mhm, and I’m never letting you live it down.” he says with pride.
During freshman year the gang decided to go to Jay’s house to watch It together and it freaked you out so much that you went to sleep in the boys room rather than the guest room.
You click on Hush, a movie you’ve been avoiding because it’s about one of your biggest fears, a home invasion.
“I thought you hated this movie.” Jake says, crossing his arms.  “I do, but I need to face my fears eventually right?” you click on it and get up to turn the lights off.
Jake soon gets under the covers as well. You both cringe and slap each other every time your feet touch.
“Yo yo yo yo watch out!” Jake whispers and pulls his hood over his head, something you both do when you’re nervous. You weren’t wearing a hoodie so you settled with a spare blanket and draped it over yourself like a cloak.
“Oh shit,” you whisper. “look behind you!” you yell at the main character.
By the end of the movie both of your bodies are stiff and sore from being so tense for two hours straight.
“I thought she was gonna die.” you sigh and you shut your laptop.
“Nah, they couldn’t kill the main girl.” Jake says, comfy and cuddled up in your duvet. “She was so smart.”
“Yeah she was.” you yawn and then kick Jake in the side. “Go to your bed.”
He groans. “It’s warm here though.”
“Go and I’ll make pancakes tomorrow.” you say.
He perks up and follows your orders.
You relax into your mattress, but you miss his warmth next to you. You ignore that.
Your alarm goes off at 6:30 and Jake sleeps right through it.
“How the hell does he get up in the morning?” you whisper. “Probably Leila.”
He’s sleeping on his side, cuddling a stuffed animal he must’ve stolen from your bed while you were asleep.
You stretch your back before washing up.
Jake’s POV
My serene sleep is interrupted by pokes at my shoulder.
“Get up poop.” she says. I almost forgot that I was at her house. I crack my eyes open to find her crouching next to me.
“Good morning.” I croak out.
“You stole ginger.” she points at the stuffed bunny in my arms.
“I was lonely.” I say before sitting up and rubbing my eyes. “What time is it?”
“7:30,” she says holding in a giggle. “go wash up so we can eat.”
“What’s so funny?” I ask her as she walks away. “You’ll see when you look in the mirror.” she says.
My eyes widen. Did she draw a dick on my forehead or something? I thought we swore to never do that.
I scramble to her bathroom to meet some gnarly bedhead. I have no clue how guys have good messy hair, my hair is either boring and flat or just messy.
“Jesus.” I say to myself and try to run my head under the sink.
I brush my teeth and secretly use her facial cleanser.
“So fancy.” I whisper while lathering it up on my face.
I can already hear her voice in my head when I’m drying off saying “don't forget to put lotion on, and face lotion, not body.”
A stack of pancakes is waiting for me in the kitchen, just as she promised.
“Thank you mom.” I say to her before digging in.
She sits across from me with her own plate of flap jacks. She looks so pretty this early in the morning. Her face is fresh and sparkly and her eye bags somehow just make her prettier. It’s cloudy out and I can tell she’s cold she way her body is bundled up in her chair.
I still remember the moment I realized that I liked her. It was seventh grade and we were at our town’s annual fair. She got a bit sick after a ride with a lot of loopdey loops so I stayed behind with her while the rest of the boys continued to go on every ride they pleased. She told me to go with them and that she didn’t want me to miss out but I said that it was fine and that I liked hanging out with her anyway. She smiled her bright smile at me and rested her head on my shoulder for a moment. Then she threw up on my shoes. Like projectile cotton candy, funnel cake, and other miscellaneous fair food vomit. And I didn’t even get that mad, I was more concerned for her. After that I figured I liked her, because if it were Jay I would’ve beat him up.
“Did you have any nightmares?” I ask her and she shakes her head.
“Nah, I dreamt that Sunghoon married a dolphin. It was weird.” she sighs.
I choke on my pancakes. “A dolphin?”
“Yeah,” she laughs. “his name was Jerry.”
“And it was a guy too?” I hold my chest, trying not to choke.
“Don’t judge their interspecies homosexual marriage. It was beautiful.” she laughs and takes a big gulp of water.
I’m almost crying at this point. “Best dream ever. I can’t wait to tell Sunghoon this.”
“No!” her eyes widen. “He’s gonna think I fantasized about it or something.”
“What?” I cock an eyebrow. “Everyone knows that dreams are uncontrollable sometimes.” “Still it’s weird. Imagine if someone told you that I dreamt of you marrying a dolphin. It’s be weird.” she says through a mouth of pancake.
“Did they have kids?” I cackle,
“I don’t know. How would that even work?”
“Maybe they had a surrogate or something.” I suggest.
“Oh god,” she shakes her head, smiling. “we need to stop. I feel like I'm violating him.”
“Alright, alright.”
“Should I wear this shirt or this sweater.” she asks me as we’re getting ready in her room.
“Sweater. It’s probably gonna be cold.” I say while tugging socks on.
“Shit you’re right. Then I won’t be able to wear this dress.” she holds up a little dress that flows out a bit from the waist.
“Bring it anyway and maybe you can wear it for a second so I can take pictures for you.” I suggest and she smiles.
“Good idea.”
We both settle of hoodies and jeans and say goodbye to her parents before hopping in my car.
We get to school right when people start getting on the bus to the airport. We throw our luggage into the bottom carrier and get in line.
“Yo!” I hear a familiar voice call as we get on. “We saved seats for you guys.”
Jay, Sunghoon, Heeseung, Jungwon, Sunoo, and Niki have already gotten comfortable in the back of the bus. Niki was already asleep. Y/N couldn’t help but pat his head before settling down next to Jungwon. The bus wasn’t a school one but one of those fancy ones they bring out once a year.
I sit down next to Sunghoon and dap him up.
“What’s up.” I say while putting my backpack down by my feet.
“Tired.” he says. “Valentina kept me up all night.”
I raise an eyebrow and he smirks.
“For real?” I ask and he nods. “No way.”
“Yeah way.” he says and holds up a fist.
I fist bump him and pat him hard on the shoulder.
“You’re a man now Sunghoon.” I congratulate him and he snickers.
“What does that make you then?”
“I’m taking my time alright? I’ll get there eventually.” I say, a little embarrassed.
I look back to check out what she’s doing when we start to drive off. She’s fast asleep with her cheek pressed against Jungwon’s shoulder. He looks like he’s about to dose off too. Cute.
Sunghoon and I watch a couple episodes of Death Note before we arrive at the airport. Sunoo shakes Y/N and Jungwon up.
She’s still groggy as we walk into the airport and grabs onto my arm for leverage. My heart jumps a little. It’s not often that we touch despite how much I think about touching her. I could stare at her back all day. She could ignore me for the rest of my life and I’d still be happy to be in her presence. Mental note to all of you: do NOT let your feelings get to this point.
Soon we’re on the plane and she chooses to sit next me. I silently celebrate. Sunoo and Sungoon behind us, Heeseung and Niki next to us, and Jay and Jungwon in front of us. Sunoo pokes his head over her seat.
“Do you have chapstick I can borrow.” he asks with his blonde hair flopping over his forehead.
She digs into her bag and hands him a small tin of lip balm.
“Thank you!” he says and she nods.
“Are you that tired?” I ask her.
“Mhm,” she sighs and shuts her eyes. “I forgot to drink coffee this morning.”
I put in my AirPods and start to watch Lady Bird. She looks over and takes an AirPods out of my ear.
“I wanna watch too.” she say and puts it in her own.
We take off for the six hour trip and soon Y/N is sound asleep. Her head kept dropping forward so I pushed it up and pulled it to rest on my shoulder. This was not on purpose. I can’t help but snap a picture of her and add it to the good pictures of her album. She looks so peaceful and comfortable and gorgeous. I lay my head on hers for a moment before continuing the movie.
Y/N’s POV
After two hours of unsatisfying sleep, and hour of gossip with Sunoo, and three hours of chit chat with Jake you finally arrive. You sit up and stretch as best as you can in the plane. You pull you backpack onto my back and get you luggage down from the overhead bin. It’s already five p.m. when we get off and your stomach is growling.
We take another bus to the hotel and you can’t help but admire the city life as we drive there.
You’re roomed with two other girls at the hotel but you don’t even bother unpacking. You know you’re gonna be in the boys’ room anyway.
Mrs. Gilroy gave us tonight to do whatever we wanted as long as we were back at the hotel by ten p.m.
You sneak into Jake, Jay, and Sunghoon’s room as soon as you can. And when you get there, it’s already a mess.
“Good lord.” you say as you’re met with clothes all over the floor and mini bottles of liquor on the beds.
“You guys are drunk already?” you scrunch your nose and drop your stuff in a corner of the room.
“No.” Sunghoon says to you lazily with a little smirk on his face. You can’t help but giggle. Sunghoon is pretty adorable when he’s drunk.
“Are you drunk too?” you turn to Jake and he shakes his head. His pink cheeks give him away though. “You’re all bad liars.”
“Lets go swim.” he says excitedly.
“There’s a pool? I didn’t bring a swim suit.” you say, bummed.
“Can we go later, I’m hungry.” Jay says and you agree.
“Me too.”
Jake tugs at your arm. “Come on~ we can order room service or ask Jay to get us something.”
“We can get you guys something.” Sunghoon says, pulling a hoodie over his head.
“Please?” Jake looks at you with shiny eyes. He’s and adorable drunk too.
You purse your lips and sigh. “Fine. But I don’t have anything to wear.”
“Just wear shorts and a shirt.” Jake says as he tugs his swim trunks out of his suit case.
“I didn’t bring shorts because you said it was gonna be cold.” you complain, crossing your arms.
“Uhm,” he stops for a moment. “you can wear my boxers then.”
You raise your eyebrows. “Huh?”
“What?” he looks at you. “They’re basically shorts. And they’re clean.”
You hesitate but then comply as always. He tosses you a pair of black Calvins.
You steal one of Jay’s shirts and make your way into the bathroom to change. You’re wearing a simple cotton bralette which should be fine for the pool. You bundle up the rest of your old clothes and stick them behind your backpack before heading out with Jake.
The pool is empty and huge and is only light by the lights inside.
“It’s so cold.” you rub at your arms as Jake sets your towels down at a seat.
“I’m sure the pool is heated.” he says and dips a toe in. “Yeah, it’s warm.” Before you can even reply, he tugs his shirt off and canon balls in. You turn your face to avoid getting splashed.
“How is it?” you call out as he emerges from the water. He shakes his hair around like a dog.
“It’s warm so come in, you look funny standing there.” he teases and you roll your eyes. You kick your sneakers off and try to make a peaceful jump in but you didn’t realize you were in the deep end. It takes you a moment to get your senses together and swim to the surface.
“Why is it deep?” you say, a bit out of breath.
Jake giggles at you. “Remember when we used to play and you were the mermaid and I was the-”
“Turtle companion.” you finish his sentence. “Yes, as clear as day.”
“Why couldn't I be a mermaid too? Why was a I a lame turtle.” he fusses.
“I’m sorry okay?” you laugh. “I was a mean child.”
“Yeah you were. I’ll never forgive you for shoving that clump of dirt in my mouth.”
You burst out laughing, flailing your arms in the water to try to stay afloat. “You deserved it!”
“I did not!” he protests.
“You cheated in handball! It was one hundred percent deserved.” you say, swimming over to him.
“I barely cheated!” he calls out, starting to swim away from you.
“Barely? I would’ve won and been champion of our grade if you hand’t pulled that shit!” you say, still laughing and swimming after him.
“Why are you chasing me?” he says while hopping around the pool where he can touch the ground.
“So I can shove another clump of dirt in your mouth.” you try your best to get him but your heavy cotton shirt is holding you back. You don’t let it stop you though.
You finally get to him and tug his arm. He yells as you push him underwater. He finds the ground though, and shoots up soon after.
“Are you trying to drown me?” he looks at you, astonished but giggly.
“Maybe.” you shrug before tackling him again. It had been a while since you two wrestled like this.
You’ve got him under water for a bit until he finds your rib cage and plunges you in. It’s hard to hold your breath while you’re laughing. You feel around for him and pinch his thigh only semi hard. He lets you go after that.
“I won!” you celebrate with your fists in the air.
“You used pain, that isn't fair.” he rubs at the area that you pinched.
“Don’t be a sore loser. I won fair and square.” you cross your arms.  “Fine.” he admits his defeat. “that pinch hurt though, come kiss it better.”
Your face twists. “Nuh uh.” you say plainly.
“Please?” he asks. “I will drown myself right now.” You laugh at him.
“I will do it!” he insists.
“Okay, okay! I’m not to going to kiss your leg you weirdo but I’ll give you a hug.” you float over to him and wrap your arms around his shoulders. “I even pinched you lighter than I normally would.”
“I’m sensitive.” he says into your neck and you giggle.
His arms feel so right around your waist and you struggle to decide when to let go, so you just don’t, and neither does he. He holds you decently tight and you feel him pat your back.
You’ve hugged plenty of times before but it felt a little different this time. Probably because you’re pressed up against his bare skin. It makes you feel a bit sheepish.
You pull away from him. “Feel better now?”
He nods with a smile. His cheeks are pink, but this time it’s not from the liquor.
Jake’s POV
I can’t help but feel disappointed when she lets go of me.
I shouldn’t have patted her back that's a dad thing to do.
Her makeup has started to run down her face which makes me giggle.
“What?” she asks.
“Your mascara is making you look crazy.” I say and her hands fly to her face.
“Shit I forgot I had it on.” she attempts to wipe it away but all it does is smear it across her face.
“Here,” I say and float over to her. “I’ll help you.” this was not on purpose.
I hold her face as gently as I can in my hands and rub the runny mascara off with my thumbs. I dip my fingers into the water to get all of the bits off.
I want to kiss her so badly, but I know that I’ll never do it. Sometimes I get irritated at myself for not being able to confess. I think Jay and Sunghoon get irritated about it too.
“You talk about her all the time man just ask her out.”
I don't know why I can’t do it. If she rejects me she’ll do it nicely and things would go back to normal pretty soon. But I don’t think I could live knowing that my feelings would never be reciprocated. Sometimes I get a feeling that she likes me too but I can never be too sure.
“All gone.” I say and she thanks me.
She lets her self float on her back. She has a small smile on her face and she’s so pretty I could cry. There have been multiple times where I nearly cried over how much I like her.
“What are your thinking about?” I ask.
“You know I never know how to answer that.” she bleats. “My mind always goes blank when you ask.”
“Well try to remember what you were thinking about then.”
“Us.” she says plainly.  “Us?” I questioned. “What about us?” “I don’t know, just how I met you guys and how happy I am to be friends with you all.” she says.
Oh. She meant all of us.
“Yeah me too.” I agree, trying not to sound down. “Who’s your favorite?”
She snorts. “I don’t have a favorite.”
“Of course you do,” I say. “and it better be me.”
“Why would it be you?” she jeers.
I frown. “Because we met first.”
“I’m kidding, of course you’re my favorite.” she admits.
“And why is that?” I egg her on and she rolls her eyes.
“Because we met first.”
I sigh. “Is that all?”
“Mhm.” she says.
Y/N’s POV
You’re met with InNOut that Sunghoon and Jay got and also a room full of teenage boys. The younger ones were laying on their stomachs on a bed together, watching something on a laptop. Sunghoon and Jay were trying to watch t.v. You say trying because of the furious clicking on the remote.
“What the hell are you guys trying to do?” you and Jake plop onto the one empty bed.
“Trying to find the porn.” Jay grumbles.
“Infront of the children?” you look over at the younger ones.
“They don’t care they’re watching YouTube.” he says, still clicking.
You take a bite of your burger. “You have an endless arena of porn on your phone why do you want the t.v. one?”
“The t.v. makes it special.” Sunghoon says.
“Weird.” you mutter to yourself.  “They’re probably gonna make you pay for it too.” Jake chimes in.
“Do you think it’ll go to the school’s credit card or whatever?” Jay asks with wide eyes.
“I don't know but if it does they’ll know it’s from our room.” he says through a full mouth.
You grab pajamas out of your bag and head to the bathroom to shower.
You come out feeling fresh and the younger ones have gone back to their room now.
“My turn,” Jake says, walking into the bathroom.
You sit next to Sunghoon on his bed and start scrolling through your phone.
“Should I get this sweater or this one.” he holds his phone up to you and shows you light blue sweater and a black one.
“Second one.” you say.
“Really?” he questions. “I feel like it’ll make me look emo.”
“You should become emo honestly. It would look good.” you reply and he chuckles.
“You’d have to help me with my eyeliner every morning.”
“Yeah,” you giggle “wait can I do it right now? I wanna see how you’d look.”
“Right now?” he cocks a brow and you nod. “Okay but don’t give me raccoon eyes.”
“I won’t I won’t.” you rush over to your bag and bring your make clutch to the bed.
“Hold still.” you tell him as you give him smokey winged liner.
“It tickles.” he says, trying not to blink too much.
“Beauty is pain.” you clean up the wing with your nail.
In a couple minutes you’re done. “Finished." you say.
“Lemme see.” he grabs a hand mirror from your clutch and holds it up to his face. “Hold on. This looks kinda good.”
“Right?” you had to admit it; he looked gorgeous.
“Why are you so pretty?” Jay says from his bed.
Soon Jake came out of the shower and it was hard to deny how good looking he is especially with his damp hair. How could someone make a t-shirt and sweats look so good? He dumps his laundry by his bag.
“Does Sunghoon have makeup on?” he asks, settling onto his bed.
“Yeah doesn’t it looks nice?” you ask and he agrees.
“Y/N are you gonna sleep here or in your room.” Jay asks.
“I thought I would just sleep on the floor here.” you suggest and he furrows his brows.
“No that’s mean. Share a bed with someone.”
“You should sleep with Jake.” Sunghoon elbows you in the side and you shoot him a dirty look. “We all know he wants you to anyway.”
“Fuck off Sunghoon.” Jake looks over at him with a piercing stare, a contrast to his pink cheeks.
“Is it okay if I do?” you ask him and he nods.
“Yeah for sure.”
Sunghoon snickers.
“I hate you.” Jake scowls.
After a couple hours of watching movies and horsing around it’s nearly midnight and your eyes are getting heavy.
You crawl under the covers and scroll on your phone a bit before trying to sleep. Despite how tired you are it’s hard to sleep with the boys chatting and snickering to each other.
“Can you guys quiet down?” you ask them.
“Sorry.” Jay says.
After maybe an hour of sleep, you feel someone get on the bed. Probably Jake, you think to yourself. His little sighs as he gets comfortable are cute.
“You awake?” he whispers.
“Mm?” you turn on your side to face him. “Yeah.”
“Cool.” he says. The room is dark but the moonlight helps you make out the outline of his face.
‘What’s up?” you ask.
“Nothin.” he says and you giggle.
“Okay weirdo. Go to bed.” you close your eyes, stilling facing him though.
“I’m not tired.” he says.
“Count sheep.”
“That never works for me.” he sighs. “Sing me to sleep.”
You try to slap him in the arm but you end up hitting his face. “Oh shit sorry!”
“Ow!” he whines. “Why do you keep hurting me?”
“It was an accident!” you whisper and rub at his cheek a bit.
“Now I actually deserve a hug.” he pouts and you roll your eyes.
“You are not five years old.”
“I still want the hug.” he says plainly and you sigh.
“Fine.” you scooch over to him and pull him into your chest. You pat his back. “There there. Better now?”
He shakes his head. “It still hurts.”
“You’re embarrassing yourself.” you scoff.
“I have no shame when it comes to your affection, you should know that by now.” he smiles.
You feel his arm fall over your waist and his hand slide up your back. It gives you goosebumps.
You’re cuddling with him. You guys are cuddling right now. You think to yourself. No you’re not, you’re just...hugging. Right?
Jake pulls away to look at you. “I need to tell you something.”
“Are you gonna say your mom again?” you ask and he shakes his head.
“No,” he says giggling. “it’s something for real.”
“Okay what is it?”
He takes a sharp inhale. “I like you.” he winces.
Your heart jumps a bit. “I know.”
“What?” he laughs.  “You’re very obvious about it.” you chuckle.  “Are you rejecting me?” he asks and you shake your head.
“I would never.” you pull him in by the back of neck and push your lips against his.

Tumblr media
I had a nightmare that night. I’m sure it was a horrible dream but I didn’t remember or perhaps I didn’t want to remember once I woke up.  The morning was not there yet but I could feel it, it was not early enough for others to be awake nor was it late enough to go back to sleep. I rose my head looking around the room hoping my roommates would for some miracle be awake; but everyone was still fast asleep.
I got myself out of bed slipping my feet in the slippers. My pajamas bundled awkwardly around my thigh and knee, using my foot to tug it back in place. The dorms were warm but so quiet, I felt that this is what it must feel like to be the only person in the world.
Walking out of my dorm and making my way into the common room I expected to bump into someone at any second, but I didn’t. I was the only one awake me, the kraken and the fire.
Making my way out of the Slytherin common room I looked around the stretched out halls.I wondered who was awake at this time, why they were awake and what they were up to. Perhaps they were always early rises and they will be surprised to see me.
The usually loud halls were deadly quiet. I wonder if I’m dead, a curious thing it would be if I was because I don't remember dying.Looking around the halls, watching all the sleeping paintings that framed the tall halls. Despite walking down these halls hundreds of times they felt too big, too old and my bunny slippers felt too out of place.
My mind started to wander, not enough that I didn't know it was wondering but enough to not keep my wits about me.
Someone bumped into me , making me stumble backwards before a hand reached over and kept me on my feet. Looking up at who it could possibly be that bumped into me with the entire hall free. I looked up to see George Weasley’s eyes that were filled with worry and confusion as to who would be awake at this hour as if he himself wasn't awake at this hour as well.“Jesus Weasley you nearly gave me a heart attack.”
“If you want I could finish off the job.” Fred sneered appearing from behind his brother.
Shooting him a glare I tried ignoring the burning spot growing where George was touching me “Haha very funny. What are you guys doing up.” I said straightening my already straight pajamas, cursing myself for wearing my green pajamas and white bunny slippers, I looked like a walking Slytherin banner.
George looked from me to his brother to my slippers before speaking “Could ask you the same thing.” he said.
“I asked first.” I retorted, scrunching my eyebrows together.
“Shame you’re outnumbered.” Fred shrugged hiding something behind his back. Technically they’re outnumbered if they would only count my bunny slippers.
Shrugging my shoulders I looked between them “Had a bad dream.”
“So you got out of bed to wonder the halls.” Fred said scrunching his nose at me.
“Your turn.” I said
“Counting the paintings wanted to make sure they hadn’t hopped off the walls.” George said with a face splitting smile that seemed too bright and too happy for an hour when the sun wasn't even out.
“Fine I’ll just follow you two around if you’re going to be like that.” I said, maybe I’ll get another smile from George even if I had to put up with Fred.
“No.” Fred said spinning around walking in front of me, his hands still behind his back hiding water it was.
“You can’t stop me.” I answered confidently, as confidently as someone with no wand and no socks could sound.
George snickered beside me “We can.” he said. But his threat was empty, a sweet empty like an empty sweets wrapper.
Fred seemed to catch on to the tone in his brothers voice because he rolled his eyes before saying “Whatever hurry up we have lots to do, places to be”
George shifted uncomfortable besides me, Fred rhythmically tapped the thing in his hand, the silence too loud for us to ignore.I shivered from the cold and the awkwardness.
Fred laughs “Did you think Hogwarts was warm at 3am? In the winter? A bit dense aren't we.” he says stretching his arms over his head, my embarrassment spread across my face.
George broke my silent embarrassment “Don’t mind him he’s upset were awake this early. Here you can borrow my jumper” he said tugging the jumper off, messing his hair in the process.
The color returned to my face, was it possible for someone to be attractive with bed head? Apparently it was. I just wish I realized this in a less compromising moment “Are you sure? Aren’t you going to be cold?” I said hesitant to take the offered jumper.
George smiled “I’m sure. I hardly get cold” he said putting my head through the jumper, the flappy arms hanging off my shoulders.
My thoughts left my head, I couldn't even remember what it felt like to have any. “Thank you I re-” I mustered out
Fred sighed making George and I jump, forgetting he was there at all “Barf. Can we hurry up.” He said. Putting my arms through the sweaters arms, smoothing out my hair trying to get rid of the static.
“What are you guys doing. You never said” I said speed walking trying to keep up with their long strides.
“Feeding the narwals the live around the castle I reckoned they were a bit peckish.” Fred said pointing at deep dark corners in the hallways.
“Narwhals live in the ocean.” I said, far too serious and far too matter a factly that made me wince inside.
“It doesn't matter they’re not real.” George said with a laugh tugging at his shirt collar.
“Mate...” Fred said with a mix of bemusement and a horrified look before laughing, shaking his head and continued making his way to wherever they were going.
“What?” George said looking from his brother to me, trying to figure out the punchline he felt we’ve hidden from him.
“George narwhals are real animals.” I said quietly to him.
“Oh.” George murmured his face getting as red as his hair, a task I didn't know was possible.
“Besides can’t tell you, you might go on and tell your boyfriend Malfoy.” Fred said waving me off. Now it was my turn to turn red.
“Yea can’t say we can trust a Slytherin with our plan.” George said with a hint of something in his voice and a different spring in his step.
“First of all Malfoy isn’t my boyfriend. Second I love a good laugh come on Weasleys spill.” I said, excitement running through me at the thought that I could be part of one of their pranks.
“I still don't think we can trust them.” Fred said looking over my head to talk to George.
“I don't think so either, feel like she’s a secret spy sent out.” George said pretending to whisper.
“Just tell me.” I said looking up at them, as they averted their eyes up to the ceiling.
George let out a laugh “Slytherin and Gryffindor quidditch game today so we’re hexing Slytherins area to turn into-” he said
“Gryffindor colors.” Fred said finishing the sentence his brother had started.
“Hmm brillant but-” I said cracking my fingers, wincing at the loud sound promptly dropping my hand.
“But?” Fred said cocking his eyebrow at me, wanting and not wanting to hear what I had to say.
George mimicked his brothers expression looking down at me “I don’t think it gets more brilliant than that.” he shrugged.
“BUT.” I said poking both of the on the arms. “What if you changed our horns to cheer for Gryffindor instead.” I said, unsure if it could work or not but I’m sure if it could be pulled off the people to come to was the Weasley twins.
“Well take it into consideration.” George said, side eyeing me perhaps sizing me up or perhaps a bit crossed he didn’t pitch the idea first. I could feel myself beam at the thought I might have possibly contributed to a great Weasley prank.
Steps echoed through the empty halls. Stiffing at the sound the three of us froze, too unsure or afraid of the volume of our own voices afraid they might come out too loud and give us all away.
“Fucking hell someones coming.” George said barely above an audible whisper but it felt like he was shouting at the top of his lungs in that moment.
“Told you they’re was a mole” Fred scoffed at his brother eyeing me with fake anger and trying to hold back a laugh. Or perhaps he was in fact a bit crossed with me.
“Shut up. Go on I’ll take care of it.” I said stepping in front of them, shooing them away to continue on. Offering myself as a sacrifice, I only wonder if I was going to be a eye rolling encounter or an after class eraser dusting sacrifice.
“I knew they weren't a mole.” George smiled from me to his brother.
“Perhaps.” Fred said dragging out his s, not believing me until I proved it.
Rolling my eyes I took a step backwards “Go on carrot tops.” I smiled up at them.
“Oi no need to come after the hair.” Fred said in moving his hands up in defense, a laugh threatening to leave his mouth and running his aloof demeanor.
“I’ll be cheering for you Wesley. Even if you don't hex the horns.” I said smiling at George, I wondered what smile wouldn't give my crush on George but it didn't matter because I couldn't see it.
“Thanks glad to see I’m finally being appreciated.” Fred said puffing his chest out pretending to throw a bludger, a faint smile spreading on your face.
“Oh guess I’ll cheer for you too carrot top. Now go hurry” I said shoving them as I started running towards the source of the sound, my bunny slippers ears bouncing in different direction with each step.
Harshly stopping, and turning around “Wait George your jumper.” I shouted, a shouted only above a whisper but still too loud.
“Give it to me later!” George whisper shouted towards me a lopsided smile on his face, a smile I don't think I’ve seen on others.
“Earth to George hurry up.” Fred said slapping his brothers arms to get his attention that I’m sure he had as soon as he said his name.George turned to his brother as they ran side by side. “I think you’re carrot top and I’m Wealsey.”
“Ha whatever makes you feel better.” George laughed shoving his brother before running towards the Quiditch field.

chapter 25
“What do you mean we’re working a missing dog case?” Hotch questioned his whole entire life at that moment as Mindy and Garcia explained the case they think they found.
“Sir, I promise you’re going to want to listen to this,” Garcia said softly, her green dress and pink hair pom-poms really reassuring him that everything was fine.
Y/N watched him roll his eyes and wish he was somewhere else, he had been getting more and more fed up with work lately. Having a hard time with Strauss, his wife, and the job in general. After Hayley almost died last year and being stabbed, he had the worst luck on the team.
“It’s going to take a minute for you to see what we see,” Mindy matched Garcia’s aura perfectly, dressed in a cat sweater.
“All 5 of these families have reported dogs missing in the Sacramento area. You think that’s not that weird, they’re probably stealing dogs for fights and step one in the serial killer handbook. But you’d be wrong,” Garcia explained, flipping from photos of missing dog posters to murdered families.
“The dogs go missing right, the parents put all their information onto a flyer, the flyer gets plastered into the neighbourhood where everyone sees it. The unsub takes the flyer, and the dog and returns it to the family just to get inside of the house. He learns what their safety protocols are like and then he decides to break in and murder,” Mindy laid it all out easily for them to follow.
“Is there any evidence that the killer is the dognapper?” Prentiss asked, chewing on the end of her pencil as she tried to wrap her head around it all.
“No,” Garcia pressed her lips together quickly. “But! Family number 5, they were murdered on Friday. Their crime scene is the newest, it’s where we’ll get the best idea of what’s going on.”
“Sir,” Mindy added. “If I’m correct about this, another family is going to die in 2 days. There’s been another small dog reported missing in Sacramento, the same type of family and everything. It’s a signature if I’ve ever seen one.”
“Send us everything you have, wheels up in 20,” Hotch sighed, taking his things and leaving the room.
“Is he okay?” Y/N asked Rossi.
Dave and he were the closest, Hotch never told his secrets of personal gossip to anyone else. He knew Rossi understood family problems the best. Having been married and divorced 3 times each.
“Don’t repeat this, Garcia that means you,” he teased her quickly. “He asked Hayley if she wanted more kids, after seeing you and JJ expanding the BAU’s gifted children program. She said she’d only have another baby if he took a few years off.”
“Oh,” Y/N wasn’t surprised. If Spencer wasn’t in the BAU he probably wouldn’t get it either. “He’s young, he can come back at any time, as you did.”
“Which is what I said to him. He just doesn’t know how he’d fill all the time yet, he doesn’t have an interest in fishing or cigars like moi,” Rossi explained. Standing up and straightening out his suit, “not to mention the writing chops to keep your brain fresh.”
“Come on grandpa, it’s time to board the plane you can brag later,” Derek patted him on the back. “Some of us like to stay active and have fun on our time off.”
“I’ll have you know I’m very fun,” Rossi argues as they leave the room. They were like a bunch of teenagers sometimes.
“Well, I’ll see you in a few days, just be in Vegas by Sunday at 2 pm,” Y/N frowned at Spencer. “Call me when you’re free?”
Spencer leaned in and kissed her softly. Rubbing his hand over her belly as he did so, saying goodbye to the little dude in there. “Be good, take care of each other.”
She smiled, wishing he didn’t have to go again. “We always do, come home to me safely boy wonder.”
In Penelope’s office, Mindy had basically moved in. It was big enough for the two of them and they worked together anyway. Sharing all the computer space, rolling around each other like crazy people as they switched jobs. That meant that Mindy’s office became Y/N’s office when she stayed back on a case.
Y/N would be 33 weeks pregnant as of Thursday, and officially Mrs. Dr. Reid by Sunday.
If everything went according to plan. This case seemed simple enough to get them home in time. If not, the flight from LA to Vegas wasn’t even that long. Y/N and Will had a plan if this was to happen, JJ and Spencer would head right to Vegas while Will and Henry flew in with Y/N. All she really needed was her wedding dress and hospital go-bag, and Spencer.
She wasn’t going to go into labour any time soon, Matty was still way too high and she was barely even having Braxton hicks contractions yet. If her body wasn’t practicing, surely it wouldn’t just start. She was a planner, she planned everything and this pregnancy didn’t seem to listen. All she wanted was for him to be born on or after June 10th, healthy and happy, that’s her only wish.
She hated cases like these, ones that made her sit behind a desk and just look at everything till it made sense. But it never did, not in her brain. Thinking like an unsub was the only time it made sense, but she never understood it. Kidnapping a dog just to kill a family was never going to be something one could just understand.
The only idea she had was to get someone inside the newest victims’ house and just wait for the unsub to return the dog. It would be the easiest way to bring him in for questioning. So she called Hotch.
“Hotchner,” he answered shortly.
“Hey, I was just wondering if you had a plan yet? If not, I’ve been thinking.”
“We’re trying to find a way to get eyes and ears inside the vics home,” Hotch explained, it sounded like he was driving and yelling over the speaker.
“I was thinking you could send in Reid or Morgan posing as a tutor or coach of some kind, then you can hide the equipment in the bag they bring in, it would be the least suspicious,” she ran her thoughts through to him.
“That would work, I’ll have the team see what we can do from our end,” Hotch ended the call abruptly. Still in the bad mood from when he left.
She couldn’t blame him, it’s a hard spot raising kids and having this job. Y/N and Spencer were still trying to figure out how they were going to pull it off. She couldn’t imagine what it was like for Haley, always being alone with Jack and half the time her life was in danger. The risk that came with the job almost didn’t feel worth it, especially when it meant losing your family on top of everything else.
They sent Derek in, with Penelope in his ear, as he set up the cameras and microphones. Setting up 24/7 patrol across the street in a model home. Meaning that Y/N’s job was basically over and all she had to do was kick her feet up and eat snacks until she could go home.
Spencer crawled into bed 2 days later around 4 in the morning, cuddling into her without even taking off his work clothes. She barely slept when Spencer wasn’t home, she opened her eyes when she noticed he was there, as if she hadn’t even slept yet.
He smelled like hotel soap and stale airplane air. “Hi,” he whispered as he tried to cuddle in close to her, being held back by her belly.
“Home just in time to have to fly out again,” she smiled at him softly.
“I know,” he sighed. “I doubt the bureau would like us if we used the jet to travel to a wedding. It’s bad enough we have one and no other unit does.”
“Are you excited or nervous?”
“Both.”
“Mmm,” she hummed along. “I’m nervous.”
“Why?”
“I still haven’t written my vows and,” she stopped herself, frowning a little as Spencer laid a hand on her face.
“What’s wrong?”
“It’s all happening so fast. I feel like I haven’t had a chance to enjoy any of it and I’m worried if this is how fast the lead-up is, then how fast will the night be over?”
“Oh bunny,” he cooed. “I’ll make sure we get a moment alone, how about we sneak off during the party and go to the swing and just spend time together? Really make the most of our day.”
“Okay,” she smiled again. “A part of me wishes it was just us.”
“How about this,” Spencer said as he sat up, turning on the bedside lamp before getting out of bed. He looked through his underwear drawer and pulled out the box the rings were in. “Marry me, right now?”
“What?” She laughed.
“Just me and you, marry me?”
“It won’t count this way?” She rebutted, sitting up as well as she squinted in the light. Trying to wake up more.
“you’re not religious and you hate the government even though you work for them,” he reminded her. “Having a sheet of paper and dedicating my life to you are two completely different things.”
“I told you I don’t have my vows ready!”
Spencer sat on the bed, sitting directly across from her as he placed the rings on the bed. Taking both her hands in his as he looked into her eyes. “Just make it up?”
“You’re insufferable,” she teased him.
“And you love me,” he teased right back.
“Fine, Spencer Reid, you big fuckin’ dork,” she couldn’t stop herself from laughing. “My whole life I’ve just wanted to love you. I don’t know how I managed to pull it off, but here I am."
She let out a long, shaky breath as she continued. "You complete me, I don’t feel right when you’re not around and I never want to lose you. Marrying you means more to me than just becoming your wife, I don’t care about the term or the tax benefits," she laughed as a tear fell down her cheek. he wiped it away quickly.
"I was perfectly content just being in your rotation. Being your partner for life is a blessing to me, I’m going to love you forever.” She picked up and ring and put it on his finger.
His eyes were glossy as he watched her shaking hand slip the ring over him. He loved her more than he even knew how to describe at the moment.
“Do you remember that one time you asked me to show you how a real man loves a woman?”
She laughed, looking down at her gigantic belly. “Kinda hard to forget when I’m carrying around this extra 30 pounds.”
“It reminded me of a quote I read on a swing one time,” he said softly, watching her eyes gleam as she knew where he was going.
“The unqualified truth is, that when I loved Y/N with the love of a man, I loved her simply because I found her irresistible. Once for all; I knew to my sorrow, often and often, if not always, that I loved her against reason, against promise, against peace, against hope, against happiness, against all discouragement that could be. Once for all; I love her nonetheless because I knew it, and it had no more influence in restraining me, than if I had devoutly believed her to be human perfection.”
“What’s that from?” Y/N couldn’t stop the tears from falling down her cheeks, she had never known what book he was reading. She always wondered what his thoughts were in that moment when their eyes locked in remembrance all those years ago.
“Great Expectations by Charles Dickens,” Spencer replied, starting to cry as well.
That’s when she remembered it, looking over at the book that had been sitting on his bedside table for months. It was the book he re-read the most, the book he was reading that first night in Wichita when she asked to crawl into his bed. The book he put down before they conceived Matthew. The whole time she was falling in love with him, the way she did as a child, he was reading the same book because it reminded him of her.
“I didn’t expect that book to hold such a place in my heart the first time I read it. I only brought it to the park with me that day because it was the closest book to me, and I was having a really hard day,” he stopped to wipe his tears softly. “Yet somehow, every single bad day in my life has been made better by you. You’re my greatest expectation, and the only one I’m trying the hardest to live up to.”
“I love you,” she replied to him softly. Holding his face in her hands now as she stared into his eyes, “you’re always going to be everything I’ve ever wanted and all I’ll ever need. You’ve met every expectation, and beyond.”
“I love you,” he smiled. He took her left hand off his cheek, sliding the silver band over her ring finger, pressing it snugly against her engagement ring. “forever.”
“And then some,” Y/N added before kissing him softly.
She smiled against his lips, sitting back and looking at him with complete wonder. “Dr. Y/L/N,” she teased him, pretending to tip her imaginary hat.
“Agent Reid,” he copied her causing them both to laugh again.
“So when is our real anniversary then?” Y/N asked softly, trying to remember what day of the month it was.
“It’s April 20th.”
“Our anniversary cannot be 4/20!” She panicked. “Oh. My god!”
Spencer laughed from down deep in his gut, laying down against the sheets as she smacked his arm lightly. “I’m serious, but that’s so funny though,” she laughed too.
She laid back against the sheets then, Spencer cuddled into her side. His face in the crook of her neck while laying a leg over hers. She held him as close as she could, Matthew really starting to get in the way of everything she did now.
She let out a deep breath as she settled with Spencer against her. “I love you so much, my husband.”
“I love you more, my wife,” he replied. The words sounding like heaven on his lips.
chapter 26
She let out a deep breath when the dress actually zipped up. She was so worried that in the last 2 weeks her body had completely changed. JJ finished with her zipper, fluffing her dress and making sure everything was in place.
Her mom was wiping her tears for the 4th time in the last hour, Y/N couldn’t stop laughing every time she heard her sniffle. It didn’t feel as life-changing as her mother made it seem, Spencer and Y/N were already married in her opinion, this was just a nice formality for their parents.
She could hear all the people talking in her parent’s yard, a few kids yelling as they ran around each other. People were already drinking, there was food and snacks all around. It was just a big party where they were going to tell everyone exactly how much they loved each other.
As much as she was ready mentally, her body was shot. The butterflies in her stomach wouldn’t leave, the baby was kicking from the anxiety in her body no matter how hard she tried to calm down. It was nerve-wracking to be so open in front of so many people.
It was even worse with the fact she hadn’t seen Spencer since yesterday. As much as he claimed he wasn’t superstitious, he really didn’t want to see her before the wedding. Claiming his mother was the worried one, Y/N let it slide no matter how much she hated sleeping in her childhood bed all by herself with a mini-gymnast in her stomach.
“Are you ready?” JJ asked her softly.
She nodded, looking in the mirror at herself one last time. “Can I have a minute?”
“Sure,” JJ smiled, taking Debbie with her as they walked out of her room.
She stood in the window, opening the blinds and looking out towards the swings once again. Spencer was sitting there, swinging while staring at her window.
She smiled, feeling the butterflies leave her system in a beautiful flurry as their eyes locked. She was ready, she had always been ready to marry him.
She walked out of the room and down the stairs, holding the railing carefully. She was just wearing a pair of crocs under her dress, not trusting her big clumsy ass with heels.
She waited in the foyer as Emily walked across the street to gather everyone. She was officiating for them, Spencer wanted her to be the one to marry them, she was the closest thing to a sister he had.
Every single important person in their lives was in the crowd. Even Spencers father was there, in the back, quiet. Diana was happy to see him, Spencer felt indifferent. Gideon came too, which made it a little easier.
They all walked across the street then, gathering at the end of the makeshift aisle they laid out in the park. Penelope played a simple wedding march, starting the ceremony officially.
Everyone stood, turning towards them. Chloe went down first, dropping flower petals in big clumps here and there before running towards her mom. Then it was Y/N’s turn, opting out of the whole bridesmaid’s thing for the sake of not having to pick and choose between her co-workers and sisters-in-law.
Her dad extended an arm for her, she took it as she softly smiled at him. He looked like he was trying not to cry, “ready?”
“Let’s go,” she whispered.
Seeing Spencer at the end of the aisle was like a dream. She began to walk towards him, every step closer made her heartbeat louder and louder in her chest. Before she knew it she was standing in front of him, her dad giving her a soft kiss on the cheek before handing her over to Spencer.
The idea of giving her away was weird. He wasn’t giving her to him, he was simply helping her reach him. And he always had been.
Spencer’s hand was soft in hers and they stepped towards Emily together.
The music stopped then, causing them to turn to each other and smile. It was time.
It felt more like time stopped, however, getting a sort of tunnel vision for each other as the rest of the world faded away.
“Welcome everyone, you can take a seat,” Emily cut into the moment. “A few weeks ago Spencer asked me if I’d marry him off to his best friend, I of course said yes because who can say no to that face?”
Everyone laughed as Spencer blushed. “Spencer is the smartest man to work in the FBI, we’re not afraid to admit that. From the day I met him, he was nothing but informative and kind, as well as shy and personal. It took a while to learn anything about him, but once you get to know him he’s like an open book. And it’s a good story.”
“Like most good fairy tales, it’s a story told in two parts. Starting with a meet-cute of cosmic proportions, a plotline that would make any other ’right for each other at the wrong time,’ story run for the hills,” Emily exaggerated.
“And finally, a reunion,” her voice was soft then. “I’ll never forget the day Spencer held the door open for Y/N, she walked in with a smile on her face that was almost as big as Spencers. He introduced us to a childhood friend that day, not realizing she would become part of our family.”
Y/N felt herself getting a little choked up, seeing Penelope and JJ wiping their tears just off to the side.
“It’s a story best told in the first person,” Emily laughed at her own joke. “So, without further ado, ladies first,” she instructed, stepping away from the altar to keep the focus on them.
“Well?” Y/N shook her head at him, motioning with her hand for him to start speaking. Making everyone laugh once again. Spencer’s smile was adorable as he giggled.
“Would you say— hypothetically, of course, that soulmates are real, Doctor Reid?” She questioned him softly.
He nodded, “I would.”
“Good,” she smiled. “Because I think you’re mine. And I think I’ve known that for a very long time. There was something about you, that first day I saw you. You weren’t shoving dirt up your nose or pulling on my hair. You were reading a book, I believe it was Matilda, you were all by yourself and you looked sad.”
“Me, being me,” she laughed to herself, “I marched over to you and I asked if you wanted to play in the sandbox with me. One small gesture changed the entire course of my life, you became a friend and then a stranger again in the blink of an eye. I know what it’s like to know of you and not be in your presence and it’s the worst.”
She didn’t want to cry, but she knew she was about to. “I know you’re my soulmate because my soul physically aches when you’re not around. Like magnets, I’m pulled towards you and I’m willing to crush anything that gets in the way. You and I were once the same cosmic rock just floating through space, separated for millions of years until the time was right.”
“I found you right when I needed you,” she wiped a tear off her cheek quickly. “When we needed each other. And I’m never going to let you go.”
She turned towards Emily, grabbing a ring from her. “With this ring, you’re tied to me for eternity now, the way things always should have been.”
“I love you,” Spencer whispered, wiping his own tears before holding her hands again.
“Your turn, pretty boy,” she teased him one last time, laughing to try and stop the tears.
“Most of you know the story,” Spencer began his speech. Staring into Y/N’s eyes, trying to forget there was an audience.
“We met in kindergarten, she was wearing a sundress with green and pink flowers, much like today. You had bangs back then and a cute pink bow in your hair. And you were as stubborn then as you are now,” he smiled. “Mrs. Richardson had told me twice that we weren’t allowed to put water in the sandbox, no matter how important it was to the construction of my model pyramids. That’s why I was reading my book. You went to your backpack, grabbed a water bottle, and poured it right into the sand without thinking twice about the consequences.
“I didn’t really see you again until I was 13, I sat on that swing with my copy of Great Expectations by Charles Dickens while you sat in your window way up there.” He pointed at her house, past the swing set. “I’ll never know what you were reading or what you were thinking, but I have the exact moment I saw you ingrained in my memory,” Spencer’s words were soft as his thumbs ran over her hands.
“Out of my thoughts! You are part of my existence, part of myself. You have been in every line I have ever read, since I first came here, the rough common boy whose poor heart you wounded even then. You have been in every prospect I have ever seen since – on the river, on the sails of the ships, on the marshes, in the clouds, in the light, in the darkness, in the wind, in the woods, in the sea, in the streets.” Spencer recited from memory.
“You have been the embodiment of every graceful fancy that my mind has ever become acquainted with. The stones of which the strongest London buildings are made, are not more real, or more impossible to displace with your hands, than your presence and influence have been to me, there and everywhere, and will be. Y/N, to the last hour of my life, you cannot choose but remain part of my character, part of the little good in me, part of the evil. But, in this separation I associate you only with the good, and I will faithfully hold you to that always, for you must have done me far more good than harm, let me feel now what sharp distress I may. O God bless you,” Spencer’s voice trailed off to a whisper as he reached the end.
“I read that quote moments before seeing you again, and part of me knew the universe had greater plans for us. And I knew, Love her, love her, love her! If she favours you, love her. If she wounds you, love her. If she tears your heart to pieces – and as it gets older and stronger, it will tear deeper – love her, love her, love her!”
“With this ring,” Spencer finally added. Lifting the last ring from Derek’s extended hand, placing it on Y/N’s ring finger where it belonged. “I vow to love you till my very last moments, and if heaven is real I’ll be waiting for your loving embrace.”
She wiped her tears quickly, looking up as she tried to stop her mascara from smudging. “You’re a dick sometimes,” she started to laugh before hearing the crowd do the same.
“You love me,” he teased her.
“I do,” she smiled, pulling him in and kissing him hard on the lips. Getting lost in his embrace as the world around them stopped.
Having every single person that she loved mingle around her parent’s backyard felt a little surreal. Her father and Rossi were smoking cigars together on the desk, Levi and Will were discussing training stories while Chloe and Henry chased each other around the yard.
Emily and Noelle were slowly dancing in their own little world to the music that played, not too far from Haley and Arron who had the same idea. Jack was talking to Derek, sharing stories about their favourite superhero.
Diana and Debbie were going around making sure everyone had a drink or a snack, discussing their children and showing off to everyone that was there. It was a lot to take in, but she wouldn’t change it for the world. This was the most perfect little wedding she could have ever asked for.
Spencer never left her side, holding her hand where ever she went for the majority of the night. Knowing she hated being the centre of anyone else attention, calming her down from all the eyes that were on her.
“Do you want to go to the swing?” He whispered in her ear when they were finally alone.
“Please,” she looked up at him with pleading eyes. Wanting to just be alone with him for a while.
She snuck out of the yard and across the street, Y/N sat down on the swing for the first time in years, her big belly thanking her for the relief. Spencer pushed her lightly on the swing, helping her swing in the late-night spring breeze in rural Nevada.
The light in her bedroom was still on, illuminating the empty room she called hers for the majority of her life. Still unable to process the fact that she did it, she married Spencer. She made a life in his orbit, she was happy and loved and making a family with the man of her dreams.
This was the best revenge she could have ever gotten on any childhood bully or predator in her life. Pure happiness, that no one could take from her. Knowing she did this on her own, meeting Spencer out of the blue and building a life of joy and peace was so unbelievably wonderful.
“Tell me what you’re thinking about,” Spencer asked softly as he continued to push her on the swing.
“I’m just amazed that I did it,” she said softly.
“Did what?”
“all this,” she waved her arm out in front of her. “I grew up, I made friends and a family and found the love of my life even after believing for so long that I never would.”
“the universe had better plans for you than you thought,” She could hear the smile on Spencer’s face as he spoke. “You’re so deserving of the world and then some, you’re worth the universe to me. Brighter than any star in the sky, more powerful than the big-bang.”
She dragged her feet along the sand, stopping the swing abruptly before turning around to see Spencer. His eyes glistened in the moonlight or the streetlight. Either way, his brown eyes were glowing as she looked up at him softly.
“Thank you,” she whispered.
“For what?”
She wrapped her arms around him as best as she could, pressing her cheek against his chest softly. “For showing me that love is real.”
“Being able to love you has been the best part of my life.”
She pulled him into another kiss, holding his face softly as she peppered kisses to his lips over and over. “You get me forever.”
“And then some.”
“Hypothetically,” she teased him lightly. “Anything is possible when the two of us get together.”
“I love you,” was all he could say before kissing her again.
They could hear the music travelling across the street for the yard, she wrapped her arms around him and swayed to the beat. Taking a moment completely alone with him to just appreciate him. To hold him close, hear his heartbeat through his suit jacket and just take it all in.
The rest of her life started at that moment, the birth of a new future. One with endless possibilities, endless happiness, and the most love in the whole world.
Soulmates, 500 years in the making.
Placing 500 more years of possibilities in the hands of Fate, who cradled them in her loving embrace. Making a future for them unlike any she’s made before.

2020
The birds chirping used to make her wake up with a smile, now it made her panic a little. She was so overly used to being woken up to a baby crying, a kid with a tummy ache, or the sound of fighting coming from the cribs in the twin’s room.
When it was quiet she worried, opening her eyes and looking around to see all 4 of her children cuddled up around her and Spencer. Completely asleep, and absolutely adorable.
Matthews’s face was beside hers on the pillow. His long hair falling over his face, just like his fathers used to all those years ago. She kissed her baby on the forehead, unable to fully understand that he was 10 now.
The twins were in the middle, Harper and Derek were attached at the hip all day long. Sleeping basically on top of each other, it was the only way they were peaceful. Since being squished together in the womb, they’ve become best friends and each other’s comfort person over the last 6 years.
Alice on the other hand was a daddy’s girl. Probably because she got the most time with him, 2 and a half years’ worth of all Spencer’s love and affection.
Spencer had quit the BAU when they got pregnant with their last baby, deciding he wanted to be with his kids full time. He wanted to be more present, to make more memories and just be a good dad.
Every morning Alice would find her way into the bed, she’d do whatever it took to get between Y/N and Spencer, cuddling into her father’s arms and going back to sleep. Almost every time, she would push her mom’s arms away, waking Y/N up in the process just to smirk at her as if to say; “haha my turn.”
She loved her little family. And they loved her too, she had been out of town for a week on a really bad case that required all hands on deck. They called her every day, begging her to come home soon, breaking her heart. So it wasn’t a surprise to see all of them snuggled in, taking in all the time with her that they could.
Matthews’s eyes fluttered as he woke up, his big beautiful brown eyes looking at her softly. “Mom,” he said softly with a smile before wrapping his arms around her neck and snuggling into her. “I missed you.”
“I missed you, Mr. Magoo,” she whispered into his hair, holding him close. He still smelled like her little baby, only bigger as he rested against her.
“Are we still going to Uncle Dave’s tonight?” He asked as he settled against her, wanting her to run her fingers through his hair. It calmed him as it did for Spencer, soothing his mind as it ran a million miles a minute.
“I think so,” she replied, picking him up softly and laying on her back more. “I think all your cousins are going to be there too.”
“Even Jack?” He asked, sitting up with wonder in his eyes. Jack was 15 now, and just the coolest dude in Matthews’s life. Much like how Spencer looked up to Hotch in the beginning.
“Even Jack!” She whispered with enthusiasm, trying to keep the others asleep but it was too late.
“Mommy!” Harper cried, pushing Derek away from her as she leaped into her mother’s arms.
“Hi sweetheart,” she couldn’t stop herself from laughing as she got smothered in hugs from the twins.
Spencer looked over at her then. Alice was snuggled into his neck, one hand on his shoulder, the other in his hair. She had always played with his hair every chance she could get. Especially whenever he held her or gave her a ride on his shoulders as they walked through the park.
“Hi,” Spencer smiled.
There he was, the love of her life. His smile made her feel at home, the love between them only growing every morning when they laid eyes on each other.
“Are you going to say hi to mommy?” Spencer asked Alice, rubbing her back softly.
She raised her hand to wave softly before dropping it back onto Spencer’s head with a smack, “ow?” He laughed lightly, making her bounce on his chest and laugh in response.
She was always quiet in the morning, leaving all the talking to her siblings. She was the calmest of them all, she was also the easiest of the 4 of them. She didn’t cry unless she was desperate for food or attention, she slept through the nights and was just all around not fussy at all. A literal blessing to their lives.
The twins were a lot, they knew they would be. She doesn’t miss the days and nights of them taking turns screaming. And she definitely doesn’t miss the ache of her body as two babies sucked her dry for almost 6 months. Breastfeeding kicked her ass the most, eventually making her lose too much weight and faint from low blood pressure, it sucked.
The outcome was beyond worth it. Derek and Harper were the craziest, funniest, loudest 6-year-olds in the whole world. If they weren’t writing a show, pretending to direct a spooky movie or pulling pranks on their father, they were planning to.
They had a specific dynamic, Harper was the planner and Derek was the do-er. Harper would come up with the sneakiest, worst ideas a child could have and somehow always managed to convince Derek to do it for her. A modern-day Jekyll and Hyde terrorized her home.
But Matthew, He was the sweetest. Being a single child till the age of 4 meant he was around Spencer and Y/N all the time, just the three of them. He’s shy but outgoing, he speaks his mind and he isn’t afraid to share his thoughts and feelings. He’s the best part of both of them but with all the confidence to follow his dreams. He was handsome and smart, he was sweet and kind, he was her baby. Forever and always, no matter how big he got.
He’s smart like Spencer, but not jumping through elementary school as fast. They agreed to let him decide when he turned 14. He deserved the chance to grow up with his own age group, to make friends and memories that were good and happy, to build the confidence to stand up for himself and others before he finished school. He didn’t mind it, he enjoyed helping other students when he finished his work early and asking for extra credit assignments.
And he liked being in class with Roz LaMontagne. They were smitten with each other from day one, always holding hands and playing nicely. JJ and Y/N always felt bad peeling them apart from each other at the end of a playdate, they were best friends.
It was like Roz had 2 older brothers with Henry and Matt, the 3 of them being so close in age they were often mistaken for triplets, with JJ and Y/N being their lesbian moms. It was a ruse that came in handy when they saw men checking them out, or when they wanted a family discount at the zoo.
Her life felt perfect, it was far from it in reality but she was happy with that. She worked long hours, her kids missed her every day, she didn’t see Spencer as often as she’d like and she was always tired. But that was what it took, she would work herself to the bone in an instant if it meant that she could come home and be snuggled like this every time.
“How was your week?” She asked Harper, brushing her strawberry blond hair behind her ear as she cuddled into her other side. Now having 3 children laying on top of her.
“Dad took us to the air and space museum,” Derek answered for her.
“No way!” Y/N enthused. “You need to tell me everything you learned!”
“The Museum is the largest of the Smithsonian's 19 museums and its Center for Earth and Planetary studies is one of the Institution's nine research centres. More than eight million people a year visit the Museum's two locations, making it one of the most visited museums in the country,” Matthew explained, remembering the sign at the entrance from memory.
“Wow, what was everyone’s favourite part? Maybe we can go again soon and you can all show me?” She suggested, riling them all up till they were bouncing on the mattress and screaming suggestions back and forth.
“Okay, okay,” Y/N settled them down. Watching them all sit-down and smile as they tried to stop laugh and listen. “Why don’t we go get breakfast and spend the morning together before we get ready to go to Aunt Penny’s party tonight okay?”
“I thought it was Uncle Dave's party?” Derek asked.
“It’s at his house but you know how aunt penny plans,” Y/N smiled at him. “How about you all go get dressed and pick something nice to wear while I talk to your dad for a bit?”
“Anything I want to wear?” Harper questioned her, very serious.
Y/N laughed, shaking her head, “something nice, but yes your choice.”
“Yes!” Harper screamed, hopping off the bed making the whole room shake as she ran down the hall. The sound of her bare feet slapping the hardwood carrying through the hallway in an echo.
“Matty, I’ll dress Alice, can you just watch her for a minute?” Spencer asked as he placed Alice in the middle of the bed.
“Sure,” Matthew smiled. “Come on Ali, I’ll read you a book?”
She put her arms out for her brother to carry her, and soon enough it was just Spencer and Y/N all alone again. Spencer and her both falling back against the pillows and sighing in the quiet.
Spencer pulled her into a hug, wrapping himself around her as he kissed her cheek, “I missed you so much, I hate when you’re gone.”
“That’s why I wanted to talk to you,” she said softly. “I got a job offer last night, and I think I’m going to take it.”
“What is it?”
“VICAP and the BAU are merging, even more, I’ve been asked to be the Chief of VICAP to personally overview the program and pass the information along to Prentiss,” She explained. “It would be a 9-5 thing, 5 days a week. I’d be home for dinner and all weekend long. We could have another baby or go on vacation? You know the possibilities are endless.”
Spencer kissed her again, “you’d be able to help people and be home all the time.”
“Exactly,” she smiled into his embrace. “I told them I’d let them know later today, they want me to start next month.”
“Follow your gut,” Spencer whispered, happy at the decision she was making either way.
“My gut is currently saying ‘feeeeed meeee’, so let’s get going!” She cheered as she tried to escape from his embrace.
He just held on tighter, tickling her stomach and kissing her neck, “help!” She cried, joking obviously and the kids knew that. Sure enough, 4 pairs of feet came running back into their room, dog piling them.
“I said help! Not suffocate me?!” She teased them as Spencer let her go, each taking a child and tickling them instead. Everyone was screaming again, giggling from deep in their stomach, feeling sick from how happy they were.
She loved every moment of it.
After 10 years, the BAU had gone through a lot of changes. Everyone seemed to come and go at least once, some leaving for good when their families started. But there were a lot of new faces now, once someone was on the team they were family.
It was a rare occasion for everyone to get together, especially now that almost everyone had kids. Spencer and Y/N went from being the 2nd set of parents to aunty and uncle to 8 kids in 10 years.
That meant that there were currently 12 screaming kids terrorizing Rossi’s beautiful backyard as the adults sat around the fire. “Please tell me no one here has a baby announcement to make, I don’t think I can handle a thirteenth,” Rossi complained, grey hair making him look more like papa Rossi than uncle Dave now.
“No,” everyone said in unison, laughing at the abundantly clear meaning. They were all too tired to do it all again.
“Like Spencer’s mom said, why have another when you can stop at perfection?” Emily joked as she leaned into Noelle’s embrace. “PJ is the best little guy in the world.”
“Spencer makes some great kids,” Y/N laughed. Remembering that time Emily nervously asked them if Spencer would be the donor for her child. Wanting her kid to be born with the best DNA she could think of.
“That he does,” Noelle smiled, looking into the yard to see PJ, Michael and Hank roughhousing like they always were.
They all had kids fairly close together, always making sure each new member of the BAU's gifted children program had friends who were more like family in their lives. Their small chosen family expanded not only in size but with the amount of love they shared for each other.
Henry was 12 now, Jack 15. They had always gotten along well together, being a little more on the nerdy side. They welcomed Matthew into their little group with open arms, as well as Roz.
Hotch ended up becoming Section Chief, taking a desk job so that he could spend more time with his family. They welcomed Jessie 6 years ago, right around the time Y/N had the twins. She was a spitting image of Haley with all the stern seriousness of Hotch. Seeing her and Harper try and work together was always funny. Harper and Derek were always trying to start shit somewhere, while Jessie ran to Y/N to tattle on them. It was the funniest dynamic out of all the age groups, and it was only going to get worse as they grew up.
“I don’t know,” Y/N sighed, looking at her kids as they all smiled and laughed. The joy they brought her was unimaginable, “I think 5 would be interesting.”
“You’re a psycho, and I should know, I’m an expert,” JJ just shook her head, blinking at the craziness. “I can barely handle 3.”
“Alice was so easy though,” she whined. “All of them were good, I miss having a baby who wanted to cuddle with me. It’s not fair Spencer gets all the attention now.”
“You could always quit, they’d love that,” he teased her softly, not wanting to wake Alice as she slept on him, tired from playing with everyone during the afternoon.
“My new position is going to be better for us,” she smirked.
“What position?” Penelope yelled at her.
“I’m going to be the VICAP unit chief,” she smiled, watching them all light up as they congratulated her. Starling the sleeping Alice on Spencer’s chest.
“I think I’ve done enough fieldwork, I’d like to cook more dinners and read more bedtime stories now,” she smiled. “I never thought I’d say that.”
“I don’t think any of us did,” Haley added. “I never expected Aaron to slow down, but when he did I think it was the best thing he chose to do. Jack and Jessie love having him around all the time.”
“To 10 plus years on the job, 10 years of friendship and the 12 new lives we brought into this world,” Y/N said as she lifted her can of ginger-ale, everyone following with their own drinks.
“To family,” Prentiss added.
“To family,” they all repeated.
Taking a sip before smiling at each other, everything ended up okay. It was more than they ever expected, and everything they hoped for.
The kids all fell asleep on the ride home. Spencer and Y/N each taking one of the twins upstairs first, placing them in their beds softly before returning to the garage for the others. Finding Matthew trying to carefully bring Alice inside to help his parents.
“Hey Matty it’s okay,” Spencer whispered, placing a hand on his back. “you go inside with your mom and I’ll take care of this.”
“Okay,” he replied, extremely tired as his eyelids drooped.
Y/N wrapped her arm around his shoulders, he was almost as tall as her already and she wasn’t ready for that. “Come on my baby,” she whispered as she led him into the house and up the stairs.
She helped him change into a pair of pyjamas before helping him into his bed, covering him in his adorable planet-covered sheets. She tucked him in nice a snug before sitting on the edge, looking down at him as he closed his eyes and settled in.
She brushed his brown curls off his face, making way for the kiss she was about to leave on his forehead. “Goodnight my Matty Magoo, I love you to the moon and back.”
“I love you to the edge of the milky way,” he replied with a small smile. “I’m excited for you to be home more. Dad worries about you and it makes him sad, I like seeing you both happy together.” He rambled all his thoughts out at night just like Spencer did.
She kissed his head softly, holding his cheeks in her hand as she looked into his beautiful brown eyes. “You are so sweet, have a good sleep and I will see you tomorrow. I love you.” She told him again, and she’d tell him a million more times if she could.
“I love you, too, mom,” he smiled one last time before closing his eyes.
She shut off his lamp, closing his door on the way out.
She stood in the hallway then, a hand on her heart as she thought about just how much she loved him. JJ wasn’t kidding when she said you grow a love so big you’d kill for them.
Back in the twin’s room, she made sure they were comfortable for the night, taking Harper out of the crazy dress and pants she picked out for the day. Tucking both of them into their little beds, kissing their heads before turning on their nightlight. They didn’t like the dark, and they liked to keep their door open a little so buddy could sneak in.
In her own room, she found Spencer in bed, shirtless with a book. He got sexier as he got older, it was impossible and yet it happened. Every year he looked different, in a wonderful way.
His hair was fluffy, his tummy was fuller— a dad bod as Penelope would call it. He wore glasses all the time now, having a hard time reading without them. It made him incredibly hot.
She changed into a cute pyjama set, satin shorts and a spaghetti strap top, wanting to get his attention away from whatever book he found this time.
She could feel his eyes on her as she changed, not wanting to look at him and make him stop.
He put his book down when she got in beside him, still on the right side after all these years. “What?” She asked him as he kept staring at her.
“Were you serious?”
“Yes I do think you’re sexy, I didn’t think you could read minds too?” She teased him.
“Funny,” he smiled at her. “Do you want another baby?”
She shrugged, “we could Russian roulette this and just see if it happens?”
“Seriously?” His voice dropped, softer than normal. “Because I would have 16 more kids with you if you wanted. They’re all so amazing, every time.”
“I know,” she felt her heart melt. “Matthew said you get sad when I’m not here, he worries for you.”
“All week, Harper wore her regular outfits because she likes making you laugh with her silly ones,” Spencer told her. They liked to share secrets about their kids at night. Basically profiling them.
“I love them,” her heart felt like it was going to burst.
“Come here,” Spencer requested, waiting for her to sit on his hips and look down into his eyes like she always did. She brushed the hair off his face, holding his cheeks in her hands.
His eyes are so much like Matthews, but it was Alice who looked the most like him. She had his nose, his chin, she was tall and skinny and just the most adorable copy of him. Every feature on him was in one of their kids, he saw the same thing in her.
“Are you sure?” She asked him softly.
“The only thing in the whole world that I know for certain is that I love you and this family. Even gravity is simply a hypothetical, but you and me… I’ve never been more sure of anything in my life,” his words soft and his expression softer.
She kissed him, pressing her lips against his for the first time in a while. It always felt like coming home, this was where she was meant to be.
When she pulled back all she wanted to do was look at him for a minute, to imagine what new little face the two of them could make together. All 4 of their children were so perfect, she couldn’t imagine a 5th possibility.
“Put a baby in me,” She whispered.
She didn’t have to tell him twice, he reached over to the night table to turn off the light before kissing her neck softly. His big, warm hands wrapped around her back, pulling her in closer to him.
He was so much different now from the first time they did this. Confident, stronger, older, but he was still her soft boy. He held her with care, kissed her like she was made out of glass. The contrast of his actions and the feeling of his rough hands on her body made her feel like she was on fire.
He pushed the straps of her shirt off her shoulders, dipping her back a little so he could kiss her cheek. He pushed her shirt down, freeing one of her breasts, holding it softly in his hands before kissing the newly exposed skin.
His tongue swiped across her nipple, making her gasp and grip his arm as she rutted into the feeling. He cradled her head in his hands, laying her back with her head now at the foot of the bed.
Still, between her legs, he pulled the satin shorts down slowly to see she never wore any underwear under them. He smirked, running his finger softly over her vagina, watching in awe as she spread her legs wider for him.
She could see how hard he was, his erection making a tent in his boxers as he teased her softly. “Still so perfect,” he praised her. “Look how tight you are, sucking my finger inside that tight heat.”
She tightened around him on purpose then, feeling his finger slip in even more. “Fuck,” he gasped. Moving down more to place a kiss on her clit.
Her breathing picked up then, even after 11 years of sex with this man, the thought of his tongue on her still made her shiver. He was just that good, always getting better every time he dove face-first into her.
Her back arched the second his tongue connected with her clit. Pushing herself into his tongue more and more as he explored her. Two fingers were inside of her now, Spencer’s mouth kissing and sucking and licking every single inch of her pussy as she quietly gasped into the darkness.
She wanted to scream for more, she always did, but she couldn’t anymore. There were 4 sets of ears just down the hall trying to have a peaceful night’s sleep, she had to remind herself of that every time.
“Fuck, Spencer,” she whispered, biting her lip so nothing else slipped out.
“What?” He whispered against her skin, kissing her groin and lower tummy.
“Please,” she begged softly, sitting up and climbing onto his lap once more. “Daddy?”
It had been years since she said that to him, not able to utter the words once he actually became a father. It lit a fire in him, pulling her in closer before he ripped the shirt off her body.
He held her against him, kissing her neck as he basically growled at the feeling. Becoming almost feral with the thought of fucking her. She was in love with the feeling, when he got rough with her it was the best.
She enjoyed every second of it, knowing she’d wake up in the morning with beard burn on her neck and between her thighs, not giving a single fuck. It was so worth it, the tickle of his facial hair on her skin beside his mouth, she craved it.
“I need you out of those boxers, sir,” she panted, holding his hair as he continued to kiss her neck.
He pulled off her, looking at her in the darkness with lust-filled eyes. “Lay back,” he instructed her.
She always listened, laying back against the pillows as he freed himself from the confines of his underwear. Crawling on top of her and hovering slightly as he looked down at her. He brushed her hair off her face, kissing her lips lightly before smiling.
“Tell me again what you want?”
She smirked, “I want you to put a baby in me, fill me up. Let me make you a daddy again?”
The noise that left his throat was enough to make her clit twitch again, it was deep and guttural and beyond sexy. He became an animal on nights like this.
She spread her legs again, wrapping her knees around him as he pulled him in against her body. “Fuck me, Spencer.”
He lined himself up with her quickly, dragging the head of his cock through her folds a few times before he began to push in. Little by little, achingly slow. Teasing her, knowing just how badly she wanted him to pound into her.
“Yes,” she sighed as he bottomed out, dropping her head back against the pillow softly.
Her hands roamed his back, waiting for him to start to move again. Digging her nails in when he finally did, pulling out slowly before pushing back in with effort.
“Ah,” she moaned softly, covering her own mouth as he started to move faster.
“Shhh,” he reminded her, kissing her neck again as he found his rhythm.
“Shut up and fuck me then,” she sounded desperate. “Please,” she added. Not wanting him to stop out of spite.
“Shut up and take it,” he ordered, placing his own hand over her mouth as he fucked her harder.
She couldn’t believe it, he was holding one hand over her mouth while his other reached for her clit, making her jolt forward at the contact. It was everything she wanted, it was rough and powerful and just the best reminder that she belonged to him.
Spencer was hers, she was his, they created this entire world together. She felt so overwhelmed, she wasn’t aware that she was crying at the pleasure till Spencer moved his hand off her mouth to wipe off a tear.
“Keep going,” she encouraged him. “Please, please.”
“Shhh,” he soothed her, “I’m going to make you feel so good bunny, you’re going to be so full, so beautiful carrying another one of our babies.”
That did it for her, she tilted her head back as she arched her back. Pulling Spencer’s fingers into her mouth so that she wouldn’t moan too loud as she came on his cock.
Spencer shuttered at the feeling, fucking into her with vigour as he tried to hold in his own moans. Sounding more like a whimper when he finally came, spilling into her with the force of a Mack truck.
He dropped against her body then, breathing deep into her neck. She wrapped her legs around him tightly, holding him inside of her so nothing slipped out. “Fuck.”
“I love you,” Spencer breathed against her skin.
She ran her fingers through his hair softly before kissing his forehead. “I love you more.”
They stayed like that for a while, only pulling apart finally to get cleaned up. Spencer turned back on the light, helping her to the bathroom quietly before stripping the sheets off the bed.
She returned to a freshly made bed and a dressed Spencer waiting for her. She put her shorts and a t-shirt back on, slipping into bed and cuddling into him once more. Having to look presentable for when the kids eventually came running into their room at 7 am.
She sighed into his embrace, smiling softly against his skin. “What was that Buddha quote you told me all those years ago?”
“When you meet your soulmate, remember that the act to bring you together was 500 years in the making. So always appreciate and be kind to each other,” Spencer replied softly.
“Goodnight, Spence,” she kissed his jaw softly as she snuggled in closer.
“Goodnight, bunny.”

Our Life Sippet - A Special Guest
It’s that time again, time for another slice of my first draft fanfic novelization for Our Life: Beginnings & Always! This time it’s another section of the Step 1 prologue. Time for some more cute little eight-year-olds being cute and another XOXO Droplets cameo!
Thanks, as always, to the game’s creators @gb-patch for making the game and inspiring me. You’re awesome and so are your games!
...
Cove carefully set down the box he brought with him before sitting beside Jamie. He realized too late that he should have asked her for permission before moving her stuff like it belonged to him. He made a small, awkward sound, drawing her attention away from the door and back to him as he fumbled for what to say. “I brought the box of shells. I wanna keep looking at them.”
Jamie had already noticed Cove carrying her treasure box with him, but didn’t pay as much mind to the act as he did. “Great,” she said with a smile. “Bust it open. We can keep looking while we wait for Shiloh.”
Relieved, Cove smiled back at Jamie before opening the box. Despite being careful when carrying it, the loose contents had shifted during the move. A bright shimmering streak of orange peeking out of tissue caught his eye. Carefully, he unwrapped a large intact conch streaked in shades of dark and light orange. He marveled at the way the light hit its polished surface and transformed the vibrant orange hue to a different color as he held it up for a closer look. His eyes widened in wonder and a sound of amazement escaped him as he turned the shell this way and that, watching how the shell somehow magically had the power to change from one color from the next before returning to its natural orange shade.
Cove turned to Jamie as he presented the conch to her with stars in his eyes and a huge smile on his face. “I think this one is the best of them.”
“That’s my favorite too,” Jamie said proudly. “That’s why I cleaned it up real good. If you put it to your ear, you can hear the ocean.”
Cove hesitated a moment to make sure that was an offer for him to try it rather than a statement of fact before holding the shell over his ear. He heard the sound of ocean waves just as promised and his smile grew wider.
Jamie delightedly watched Cove admire her prized treasure, her expression growing thoughtful. He seemed so happy with it - the happiest she had ever seen him.
Earlier that day, her moms talked about how it would be a good idea to give the Cove and his dad a special gift to welcome them to the neighborhood. Perhaps just the right welcoming gift would make Cove feel just a little better about the move and being away from his mom, and he wouldn’t have to feel sad anymore.
Sure, it was a bit of a shame to give away her best seashell, but Jamie was confident she could find another one she liked even better eventually. The best part was finding the treasure after all.
Decided, Jamie nodded to herself. “You can keep it if you want.”
Cove froze. He had just been starting the process of re-wrapping the shell in tissue when Jamie made her unbelievable offer. His eyes widened and his mouth hung open in absolute shock. “Really?!”
Jamie smiled, tickled that she had surprised him with her gift. “Sure. You like it a lot, right?”
Cove stared at Jamie a moment more before he had to look away, unable to meet her earnest gaze. It was strange that she was so ready to just give away something so obviously amazing and special, especially after she had just told him it was her favorite of her treasures. It made him feel weird in ways that he couldn’t put into words.
“Uh huh,” Cove finally said quietly as he placed the shell back down in the box. “But… I don’t want to take it from you. It’s okay.”
Jamie saw his hesitation and discomfort clear as day on his face and regretted making the offer. She hadn’t meant to make Cove feel pressured to take it. Gifts were meant to make people happy to get them, not nervous.
Maybe Cove would feel better about accepting it another time when they got to know each other better. They were neighbors now after all.
“Okay,” Jamie said as she gave Cove a reassuring smile to show that she wasn’t upset that he refused her gift. “Wanna hear how I found it?”
Cove shyly smiled back at Jamie, grateful for the subject change and that he hadn’t hurt her feelings. “Uh huh.”
With that, Jamie launched into another colorful story, and the awkward moment was quickly forgotten.
The pair had been able to look through a couple more items in the collection before the doorbell finally rang. They both jumped at the sudden loud sound and turned to the front door at the same time.
Cove frowned a little before looking at Jamie. “Lizzie’s friend?”
Jamie nodded. Only people who knew where to look could find the doorbell, which included Shiloh.
The frown on Cove’s face grew into an uncomfortable grimace. Though he got to his feet after Jamie did, it was with great reluctance as he stared at the door in a mixture of trepidation and resentment.
Jamie looked from the door to Cove. Although she knew she should answer it and let Shiloh in, she was reluctant to do so after seeing his clear distress at the idea. Cove didn’t hide his emotions very well, which made him very easy for her to read. However, before she could ask if he was going to be okay, he spoke up first.
“This isn’t a good idea,” Cove said as he shifted uneasily from one foot to the other.
“Don’t worry, it’ll be okay,” Jamie said, trying her best to sound comforting. “All you gotta do is say hi. Besides, there’s nowhere to go. He’s at our only door, and if you go upstairs, he’ll find you.”
Despite the reassurance and reasonable argument, Cove was already looking around, his eyes wide and searching for some sort of exit strategy. Finally, he locked his gaze to the back of the house and the large windows looking out to the hills he hid in last night. “I can go out the window.”
Cove didn’t wait to hear Jamie’s opinion on the matter, already moving quickly towards the window.
Panic shot through Jamie at the idea of Cove climbing out the window. What if he fell and broke his other arm? Her mind raced for a way to stop him as she ran after him. “Wait! You don’t have to do that!”
Jamie managed to get in front of Cove, holding up her arms both in an appeasing gesture and to block his way. “Shiloh’s not scary, really! Every single bunny rabbit is scarier than Shiloh.”
Cove frowned, but he didn’t try to get around Jamie. That was something at least, she decided. “But I don’t want to see him,” he said stubbornly. “I don’t know him.”
Jamie gave Cove a sympathetic smile. “I know you’re worried, but you’re not gonna have to meet him by yourself,” she said softly. “If you have a hard time with him, I’ll tell him to leave. Is that okay?”
Cove considered the offer seriously as he looked into Jamie’s blue eyes. Even though they hadn’t even known each other for a full day yet, somehow he found comfort in having her support. Finally, he nodded, his shoulders slumping a bit as he gave in. “Okay.”
That was when Shiloh poked his head into the house, holding open the front door. His big, curious gray eyes quickly locked on the other two children. He focused on Jamie first, who stared back at him.
Jamie managed to return the cheerful smile Shiloh sent her way with a small one of her own, but she couldn’t help but worry about how he was feeling. She had no idea when he opened the door, or how much of the conversation he heard. He didn’t look upset, or any different than he usually did really, but it was hard for her to believe that he hadn’t overheard at least part of what they were talking about.
“Hi, Jamie!” Shiloh said with his typical cheer, which only faltered with a touch of uncertainty as his gaze shifted to Cove. “And hi, uh, Cove?”
Cove didn’t turn around right away, his uneasy gaze lingering on Jamie until she looked back at him and gave him a reassuring smile. Slumping his shoulders a bit and letting out a sound of acknowledgement, he forced himself to face the kid his dad wanted him to make friends with. “Hi.”
Just like that, Shiloh’s smile was back to its normal level of pleasantness. “I’m Shiloh! It’s nice to meet you.”
“Yeah,” Cove said with nowhere near the level of affability of Shiloh. He couldn’t exactly return the sentiment, since that would be lying.
Since there was no escaping this encounter, Cove took a moment to take a good look at the other boy. Shiloh was noticeably shorter than him, with fluffy brown hair hidden under a very large blue hat that matched his striped shirt and overalls. For some reason, Shiloh was blushing, though Cove couldn’t see why. Still, it wasn’t as interesting as the fact that Shiloh’s peachy skin was covered from head to toe in more freckles than Cove had ever seen on anyone before.
“You have a lot of freckles,” Cove said once he finished his assessment.
Shiloh didn’t seem to know what to make of that observation for a moment, but he nodded all the same. “Uh, right. I do,” he said. He didn’t give Cove a chance to make another remark before he moved the topic along. “What are you guys doing?”
“We’re looking at shells,” Cove said as his gaze drifted back to Jamie’s treasure box.
“Awesome,” Shiloh said in what Jamie knew to be the usual Shiloh fashion. “Can I do it too?”
Cove could only offer a shrug. It wasn’t his collection to show, and he couldn’t say he cared either way if Shiloh was interested.
“Sure,” Jamie said happily. She wasn’t about to complain about the interest in her treasures, even if she had a feeling Shiloh would probably get bored of it soon. “We can look at them some more in my room.”
As soon as the three children returned to Jamie’s bedroom and the box was opened back up, Cove had already spotted another shell that caught his eye. “What about that one…?”
Jamie was only all too eager to dive back into another amusing story of her adventures hunting for treasures as she showed off her collection. As far as she was concerned, the plan for the afternoon was to look at all her treasures. She wasn’t particularly in the mood to do something else, especially not when Cove seemed to be having just as much fun as she was.
It was great to see Cove genuinely enjoying himself despite how unhappy the move made him, and Shiloh… well, he was smiling and expressing himself in typical Shiloh fashion, so that meant he was having fun too, right? At least Jamie hoped he was. She could never really tell with Shiloh.
“What’s that one?” Shiloh asked.
Jamie followed Shiloh’s pointing finger to her prized conch. It must not have gotten wrapped back up in its protective tissues properly, and its glittery surface easily drew attention when the sunlight hit it. Still, she wasn’t about to pass up the opportunity to show it off, and she delicately removed the shell from the tissue before holding it up to the light so it could be seen better. “This one’s my favorite. I found it last year on a family picnic.”
“Cool,” Shiloh said. “I think that’s my favorite too.”
The exchange rubbed Cove the wrong way for some reason. He watched Jamie as she beamed at the praise, and he wondered if she would offer the shell to Shiloh like she did for him earlier. He didn’t like the idea, but he knew he couldn’t say anything to stop her if she decided to give the shell away to someone else.
“Thanks!” Jamie said before retelling the story of its discovery.
To Cove’s surprise, when Jamie was done talking, she carefully re-wrapped the conch before setting it back down in the box.
“Check this out,” Jamie said as she picked up a red and bubbly piece of sea glass. “It looks like a heart, doesn’t it?”
“Yeah, it does,” Shiloh said. “That’s neat.”
Cove stared at Jamie as she launched into yet another story. It was interesting, like all the others she told, but he couldn’t help but be distracted by his confusion. When he said the conch was his favorite shell, she didn’t hesitate to try to give it to him. When Shiloh said the exact same thing, it was like the thought of giving the shell away never crossed her mind.
It was strange. Cove didn’t see why Jamie would try to give the shell to him and not Shiloh; she knew Shiloh a lot longer than him after all.
Still, Cove wasn’t about to complain, no matter how weird and fluttery he felt about it.

Bunny Boy Cases: “how far would you go?” (⚠️❤️☁️🔪) JJK x Reader
Tumblr media
Pairing: Jeon Jungkook x Reader
Genre: Yandere!AU, Psycho!AU, Angst, Romance, Mature!
Tags/Warnings: Strong Yandere themes, Stockholm Syndrome, Our favorite psycho boy, drowning, Suffocation, twisted romance, very dark themes, please read with caution!
Summary: Do you love him?
I do not condone this behavior at all. Please keep in mind that this is a work of fiction. Thank you.
Tumblr media
Jungkook knew of your love for the sea. Of course he did; there was barely anything he didn't know by now about you.
He also knew exactly how to keep you at his side by now.
Of course you were dependent on him- he never let you out by yourself after all. He was the hand that fed you, that cared for you, that gave you comfort and punishment when needed. But you were also, deep down, very smart. You knew this was not what a normal relationship was like- which was why he guilt-tripped you whenever he could.
And it wouldn't even be a lie.
There was no hope to survive for him, not without you.
So there you two were, in his car, with him driving, and you at his side. You were excited, but you so adorably tried to hide it. He could however spot your leg umping up and down a few millimeters every now and then- and the look you threw out the window, the way your spine straightened, told him the truth about your feelings. "Excited, Angel?" He asks with a chuckle, and you sit down a little smaller in your seat.
He loves to see the effect he has on you.
"It's okay for you to be." He states, feeling your gaze on him. "After all.. it's been a while that we've been out, right?" He says, voice a bit wavering and paired with a sheepish smile to portray you that he's feeling guilty about it. He isn't.
"no no!" You say, and he let's a sigh slip- not necessarily to feed the idea of his bad feelings, but out of bliss. He bathes in the fact that you're so bewitched by him; and its only fair like this, isn't it? After all, you do the same to him. Luckily for him, you take his exhale as what it wasn't intended. "Seriously Koo, I understand. I'm happy we'll have a vacation together!" you say, and he smiles. His arm reaches out, running over your hair as if to pet a dog- and you don't even see the demeaning gesture as that. You simply take it, smile, and he couldn't be more glad about it.
You've truly become his.
Parking his car, he's happy to notice that you wait for him to open your car door instead of doing it yourself. He does so of course, watching with hawk eyes how you shrink in on yourself as soon as your shoe steps onto the pavement outside. You're so unsure, so small, so vulnerable- every second glance you take is directed at him, and he feels euphoric about it.
This is only for your safety. He's only helping you. He's keeping you safe. He's protecting you.
Jungkook doesn't have to unpack much stuff- you're not going to stay at a hotel anyways. Firstly because he can't afford it no matter how badly he want's to, and secondly, because he doesn't trust hotel rooms. What if there are spy cams installed? He knows himself, after all, how easy they are installed and hidden. There's no way he's gonna take on that risk.
Your sleeping body was for his eyes only.
"Where can I change, koo?" You ask, and he smiles at you, pulling out a towel.
"Right here Angel." He says, finding the scandalized look on your face amusing. "I'll hold the towel around you; it's not like I haven't seen you before now, is it?" He hums the last part with something alike to a purr lacing his voice. It makes you shy, paints your cheeks red, and he can't swallow down his chuckle that escapes him. Hesitantly you let him hold the towel as you avoid his gaze.
He's become very patient, he notices. His self control has gone up significantly these past months- because if he looks back on your relationship, there were surely times where he could have never stared at your exposed flesh without giving into the urge of ravishing you on the spot. Maybe it's the still slightly visibly bite marks on your collarbones that soothe his inner demons to stay calm- he may never know. But once you have changed into a bathing set that can only be described as sinful, he wraps the towel around you. "Keep it like this Angel. Don't want you to be seen like this, okay?" He says, and you nod.
"Can you tie my hair up for me?" You ask, and he smiles brightly at this. Every request you have for him he bows down to.
"Of course." He says, accepting the hair tie you give him, and softly turns you around so he can collect all of your hair into one hand. He's careful, gentle, it's quite hard to imagine the things he's done with these hands.
The things he's capable of.
But you swallow these thoughts down, simply letting yourself be swept away by the moment itself. It's been so long since you've last been outside this much. You want to keep this as a good memory to yourself; after all, who knows when the next time will be?
Jungkook himself doesn't seem to care much about who could see him- having put on his swimming trunks underneath his sweatpants already before he had started driving, he's quick to change. He closes the car, the driver's door needing a second attempt to close properly before he can lock it properly. He should really invest into a new one, he knows that- but cars are expensive, and he can fix it himself anyways.
He'll keep it until its broken.
Just like he keeps you at his side, while walking towards the small hidden spot that he had scouted out for the two of you. There's not many people currently swimming; after all, he had done his research. It was a Monday, and the time was perfect too. Everyone else was at work or home- the perfect timing for him and you to have some time just for yourselves.
"Can I shed the towel now?" You ask, and he smiles at you.
Always so sweet.
"Of course angel. We came here to swim, didn't we?" He says, and you nod, eyes sparkling with excitement as he follows you into the waters. He keeps an eye on you at all times, leads you behind a large boulder; successfully hiding you from any spying eyes out there. The waves are a little more present at this spot, but that's fine with him- it's not enough to be dangerous yet. Your body, compared to him, is already floating as you hold onto his shoulders; and it gives him a weird feeling of power over you. He watches your feet trying to keep you afloat- your fingers pressing down on his skin to hold onto him, and your eyes finally meeting his.
He's entranced.
"Say, Angel.." He speaks, words flowing out of his mouth without his will. "Do you love me?"
The question is asked almost daily. It holds so much meaning not only for him, but for you as well. It's a question you could never imagine to answer with a 'no'- there was always just one answer to ever be said.
"Of course I do." You say, and he smiles.
But this time, there's suddenly something else behind his gentle grin sent towards you. There's something dark, something rabid- something you've seen before. It's as if he shifts persona's sometimes. As if he's turning into someone you don't quite know.
"Would you do anything for me?" He asks, melodic, as if he was a siren ready to bewitch you. He's sure to let his demanding question be followed by a softer tone, however. "I would do anything for you, you know that, right Angel?" He says, and you nod.
You're already enchanted as you answer. "Of course I'd do anything, Koo.." You mumble out, and his smile widens as he leans forward.
You're sure that his lips are going to meet yours, and you already close your eyes. But he's not kissing you; his lips move beside your ear, as he purrs something into it, barely heard over the sound of waves and seagulls around you.
"Would you drown for me?"
It all happens so fast after that, the seagulls, the waves, the short moment that you can hear a truck pass by nearby on the roads; it's all gone a second after, vision blurred and disrupted by bubbles as you need a moment to clear it again. You can see him, as serene as ever above you, his eyes staring at your form, his gentle hands, the hands that so carefully tied your hair together just half an hour ago pushing you down, as you hold your breath. He's still smiling, the edges of his lips still turned upwards as he seems to scan you for a moment. That's when you notice it too.
You're not struggling.
And it dawns onto you in that moment that there's a reason you don't. Apart from him, you have nothing left; there's no friends worried about you, no family left for you to return to, no job you could take on at this point. All you have is him. The reason you're alive is not because you've been born into this world.
You're alive because he let's you.
You exist because he allows it.
You watch him get closer as your lungs start to burn, his lips pressed onto yours as he quite literally steals your breath away. It's only when your eyes grow droopy, your skin gets tingly, and your vision starts to darken around the edges like TV static creeping in on you, does he finally push the two of you up again.
You breathe heavily, your lungs hurt, your throat scratchy as if you swallowed sandpaper. He holds you close throughout it, gentle hands running over your back as he speaks to you in a warm and comforting voice. You don't understand his words yet, hands clinging to him as you press your forehead against the inside of his shoulder. You can feel his chest move as he chuckles, ears finally working again as the seagulls and waves return to you.
"I love you so much." He speaks, as if nothing happened just seconds before. "Don't ever forget that." Are his last words, before he presses a kiss to the side of your face.
You'll never forget that.
You'd rather die.
