I love your RW art month tiles. What art program do you use and how do you get those really clean textures and shapes?

I use PaintToolSai, both 1 and 2- but most of the drawing gets done in SAI1 since I couldn't get my brushes to import right for 2. Its an extremely bare bones program all things considered (Sai2 less so, it has a bit more tool-wise, but I only draw in it if i *have* too or for minor stuff) so its nothing really fancy being employed, everything geometric I do just by using a self made grid to measure out shapes like you would a piece of paper.

Literally its just a measured out grid of like... 50 by 50 px squares with cross sections? I just paste it as needed and draw the lines around it and since the measurements are consistent it just works.

my default pen is already "crunchy" so being perfectly matched isnt a huge deal, and you can general paste and rotate to make it look a little cleaner. Honestly I've used this same grid for forever (and it was off by like one pixel at one point lol) its just really useful for quick matching things for a program that doesn't have stuff built in for lining things up As for the textures, those are all default to SAI (I think?). The brush I use lightly uses of fabri (which mostly just makes the edges of the brush grainier) and then I usually also put some various level of a layer texture overlay thats just one of SAI's default 'watercolor' textures. It mostly just adds a little bit of a noise/grain effect. Heres that on max

For ArtMonth itself I just draw out a tile canvas using the grid with all the layers broken up- then I just reuse it over and over as needed. There's probably smarter ways to do it, but eh it works

And yeah, theres just two borders. One for the bottom and one for the top, makes it easy to make something that goes 'in and out' of the tiles without having to think to much. Just snip as needed

Idk man im basically out here with a pair of scissors a ruler and some paper. I can make a new layer and nothing else #i guess i should also note that i draw on fairly tiny canvases most of the time which means texture stuff can get a little more... strong?#than what i tend to see with huge canvases. Like most of my brush sizes run anywhere from like size 6 to 16 at max and that can be a decent #difference in look. I wouldn't say ones better or worse than the other just that there is a little bit of a different in feel there #artmonth canvases are sub 900 so that twitter keeps them transparent #in particular #ALSO SORRY IF THIS IS LIKE BADLY WRITTEN ITS 4AM #OH YEAH EXTRA NOTE: i have been playing with clip studio. not for like #serious use because i think it has too many things (lol) but i had to grab it for conversion stuff. I have played with a couple of layer #stuff there (the lizards i did recently. not the last one) i have no clue how to use that program or what any of the buttons do but i guess #if you wanna do what ive did with the lizards thats 'hitting random buttons in clip studio' and not SAI

why exactly do you dislike generative art so much? i know its been misused by some folks, but like, why blame a tool because it gets used by shitty people? Why not just... blame the people who are shitty? I mean this in genuinely good faith, you seem like a pretty nice guy normally, but i guess it just makes me confused how... severe? your reactions are sometimes to it. There's a lot of nuance to conversation about it, and by folks a lot smarter than I (I suggest checking out the Are We Art Yet or "AWAY" group! They've got a lot on their page about the ethical use of Image generation software by individuals, and it really helped explain some things I was confused about). I know on my end, it made me think about why I personally was so reactive about Who was allowed to make art and How/Why. Again, all this in good faith, and I'm not asking you to like, Explain yourself or anything- If you just read this and decide to delete it instead of answering, all good! I just hope maybe you'll look into *why* some people advocate for generative software as strongly as they do, and listen to what they have to say about things -🦜

if Ai genuinely generated its own content I wouldn't have as much of a problem with it, however what Ai currently does is scrape other people's art, collect it, and then build something based off of others stolen works without crediting them. It's like. stealing other peoples art, mashing it together, then saying "this is mine i can not only profit of it but i can use it to cut costs in other industries.

this is more evident by people not "making" art but instead using prompts. Its like going to McDonalds and saying "Burger. Big, Juicy, etc, etc" then instead of a worker making the burger it uses an algorithm to build a burger based off of several restaurant's recepies.

the left is AI art, the right is one of the artists (Lindong) who it pulled the art style from. it's literally mass producing someone's artstyle by taking their art then using an algorithm to rebuild it in any context. this is even more apparent when you see ai art also tries to recreate artists watermarks and generally blends them together making it unintelligible.

Aside from that theres a lot of other ethical problems with it including generating pretty awful content, including but not limited to cp. It also uses a lot of processing power and apparently water? I haven't caught up on the newer developements i've been depressed about it tbh

Then aside from those, studios are leaning towards Ai generation to replace having to pay people. I've seen professional voice actors complain on twitter that they haven't gotten as much work since ai voice generation started, artists are being cut down and replaced by ai art then having the remaining artists fix any errors in the ai art.

Even beyond those things are the potential for misinformation. Here's an experiment: Which of these two are ai generated?

These two are both entirely ai generated. I have no idea if they're real people, but in a few months you could ai generate a Biden sex scandal, you could generate politics in whatever situation you want, you can generate popular streamers nude, whatever. and worse yet is ai generated video is already being developed and it doesn't look bad.

I posted on this already but as of right now it only needs one clear frame of a body and it can generate motion. yeah there are issues but it's been like two years since ai development started being taken seriously and we've gotten to this point already. within another two years it'll be close to perfected. There was even tests done with tiktokers and it works. it just fucking works.

There is genuinely not one upside to ai art. at all. it's theft, it's harming peoples lives, its harming the environment, its cutting jobs back and hurting the economy, it's invading peoples privacy, its making pedophilia accessible, and more. it's a plague and there's no vaccine for it. And all because people don't want to take a year to learn anatomy.

Jungkook finishes his to-do list a little earlier than usual, which gives him time to relax a bit. And by relax, he means starting a live stream for his followers. He gets to his set up, angling the camera at his chair making sure his desk was clean except for a water bottle. He sits down and tweets out he’s going to be streaming in ten minutes. His followers immediately retweet it and all the replies are begging him to play COD again. How could he reject that?

“What's up guys? Missed me?” Jungkook giggles when he sees the chat blow up with non stop comments. Jungkook also may have forgotten to mention he cut his hair.

It's been 2 hours, and Jungkook is playing his last round for the night before he ends his stream.

“Fucking finally passed this level. I’ve been playing for 2 fucking hours and I just finished this part. You guys are good, but not that good. Just kidding, I’m kidding.” Jungkook laughs while the chat blows up congratulating and laughing with him.

“Thanks for playing with me guys, as always. I’m gonna end the stream now. Love you guys and goodnight!” Jungkook waves and smiles brightly as the comments bid him a goodbye. And with that he ends the streams. Jungkook is happy and laughing, today's stream was especially fun and his followers were so funny.

Mindlessly, Jungkook picks up his phone to check the time and his emails. His smile quickly drops when he sees the notification from you again. Don’t be a pussy, Jungkook. Cut Chaos Part 3

The day you spent with Ranboo, Tubbo, Wilbur, and Tommy after the store might’ve been the best day you’ve ever had. You’re finally able to breathe again, to laugh again. Smiling had started drifting away from you, but suddenly you were smiling so hard your cheeks hurt.

You almost don’t go home. It’s tempting to stay with Ranboo when he offers up one of their many spare bedrooms (and you do mean many), but you decline. Heading back home, closing the door to your bedroom is easier than it’s ever been. Just living is easier than it used to be.

Collapsing onto your bed, it only takes you a second before you start grinning like an idiot to yourself. Things are back to normal, back to how they should be. Sure, you could still be mad at them for what happened, but you were tired of not being around them. Tired of people being pissed off.

It takes you a full three minutes before you roll onto your side and unlock your phone with Face ID. There’s a plethora of notifications waiting for you, from a group chat that you thought was a ghost town. It makes you grin all over again.

A/N: The way I had to search up thirst tweets because I have no idea how people write things on twitter, the mildest ones are the ones I wrote- I am shook. (Not me using the Bangchan meme for Hinata."

"Hello, this is Atsumu Miya from MSBY black jackals and m' reacting to thirst tweets!" the faux blonde grinned happily.

"Are you on twitter, Miya-san?"

"I used to be, but then I deleted it, it's a scary place," the man shudders exaggeratedly, clutching the fish bowl with paper scraps closer to him.

Carefully he takes out one piece and unfolding it, head tilting in delight at the question.

"I want Atsumu Miya to crush my skull between his massive thighs."

A cocky grin made its way onto his face, he slaps his thigh, looking straight at the camera, "As much as I would love to indulge in fan service, I don't wanna be charged for man-slaughter"

He laughs and throws the scrap of paper on the floor, fishing for another.

"I want a piece of that cake Atsumu carries everyday"

A snort leaves Atsumu's mouth after reading, "Y'all need to chill, seriously."

Taking another piece of paper out, Atsumu read.

"Fuck Daddy-Issues or Mommy-issues, my only issue is, not having Atsumu Miya in my arms right now!"

"Awww, this one is so cute man," he grins, "thank you 'Mrs.Miya49. By your username, it seems as if you have already claimed me though," he says with a wink.

"Alright this is the last one," he says and speakes in an exaggeratedly British accent.

"Atsumu Miya is the most gorgeous man I have ever seen, my ovaries are ready to produce Miya 3.0. thank you very much."

"Holy shit," he gasps, "I am so flattered that you think I am gorgeous, but I think you should contact my twin for Miya 3.0, though. He is more of a family guy than I am," he says and pauses, "for now at-least," he winks.

"I might re-download Twitter to reply to you guys now."'

"Hey, this is Bokuto Koutaro from MSBY black jackals and today I am reacting to thirst tweets with puppies."

Bokuto cackles while sitting on the floor, as majestic tiny creatures step out of a wooden crate, "great, now I am not going to get any work done"

He scratches gently behind a brown one's ear, his large hand making the puppy seem even tinier. One of them struggles to climb on Bokuto's lap. He gently places him on his crisscrossed legs and canine soon nuzzles in. While one puppy minds his own business biting Kou's shoes.

"Oh hey buddy, that's not nice," he gently pushes the puppy away with his pointer finger, which only spites the tiny fiend more.

"Right, I won't get distracted now, I can see the director glaring," he laughs while petting the puppy nestled in his lap, peacefully.

"Bokuto Koutaro is what SZA had in mind when she wrote 'big-boy'. This man DESTROY me, manhandle me, tear me apart. I would have no regrets."

Bokuto blinks rapidly as if trying to process the info, "wow-uhm you guys are violent, but yeah I have heard that song, but it never crossed my mind even once."

Bokuto pouts at the puppy, chewing the laces of his branded shoes, away so that the camera can't see, "I should cover your ears, eh?"

"I want to be crushed by Bokuto, this man can throw me over his shoulder like a potato sack, please please please."

"I mean if you are asking so nicely, I'll throw you over my shoulder; no crushing though, I like my fans uncrushed!" he laughs boisterously.

"I wanna lick the sweat off Koutarou's abs, bet it's the sweetest thing ever."

Bokuto scrunches his face in disgust, "Gross, I mean of that's what you are into- but I beg you please reconsider, that's very unhygienic," he says while kissing the pup's head with a loud 'mwah', "Sakusa would have had a breakdown just reading this."

"Wanna bite Bokuto's man-tiddies nom nom nom, wanna mark him all up"

Bokuto blinks aggressively looking at the camera in a way that would be used by his fans as a meme reaction for months to come, "Is this Atsumu? I bet it was Atsumu tweeting this. That guy always calls his abs man-tiddies."

Bokuto pouts sadly as the staff takes the puppies away, "This was Bokuto Koutaro from MSBY Black Jackals, reading thirst tweets with puppies. Send more of these guys so I can come and play the pups!"

𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐀 𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐘𝐎

"Hello folks! This is Hinata Shoyo from MSBY Black Jackals and today I am reacting to thirst tweets!" the tangerine haired-boy said excitedly as rubber his palms together in delight.

In his muscular arms, he holds the phone the staff gave him and reads the first tweet.

Hinata Shoyo has such a big leap, like a rabbit, jsksjksjk he the cutest

Hinata giggles at the comparison, "I have been called a lot of things in life, rabbit has to be the first, I like it!"

He glances at the tweet again, "You know what else is big ?" he pauses looking down at his legs, "My...uh feet! My feet!" he quickly averts the topic after he earns a glare from the manager.

Research shows that if you are scared of spiders, you are likely to find them in your room...ooo I am so scared of Hinata Shoyo. It would be soooo scary if he climbed into my bed at night~

Hinata laughs loudly, licking his lips, "You guys are so creative, how do you even think of these things?"

Hinata shakes his head, smiling as he scrolls on

I want Hinata Shoyo to [redacted] me [redacted] and [redacted] my guts while whispering [redacted] into my ear.

"Did- did you just physically type out redacted-" Hinata says with his mouth open in shock, "it can be interpreted in many ways you know?"

"It can be I want Hinata Shoyo to call me tonight and operate my guts while whispering 'touch some grass' in my ear" He shrugs his shoulders, "Not so thirsty now."

Looking at Hinata should be illegal, I saw one of his games and now I got pregnant. Who is going to take the responsibility now @msbyblackjackals.official ? Huh? Huh??

"BAHAHAH you even tagged the official account" he laughs, wiping the tears from his eyes, "please let me know the update on the child, I will take responsibility."

"This was Hinata Shoyo from MSBY reading thirst tweets, thank you for all the sweet and thirsty comments, appreciate them equally"

"Do I really have to do this?" he mutters hesitant, looking at the rolling camera.

"Yes Sakusa-san, everyone from the team is doing this."

"Fine," he sighs, "this is Sakusa Kiyoomi from MSBY black jackals and I am reacting to thirst tweets."

He hesitantly reads the first question displayed on the screen

I want Sakusa to chew on my head like a bubblegum.

Sakusa looks at the camera with a disgusted expression, "no."

Omi is the man of my dreams, a knight in shining armour, rose petals and shit. I want him to rail the life out of me.

Sakusa sighs and lets out a small hum of acknowledgement, "This one isn't that bad. Flattered to hear that I am the man of your dreams, darling."

Sakusa chortles at the message, "you got me scared there for a second. Sorry, I am not really good with physical contact and stuff, but this was sweet."

i guess since i talk about shinee so much i should make an official blog statement about what happened lmfao. i didn't see it until yesterday because i was offline. and yeah! those r genuinely harmful and hurtful and nasty colorist statements they made to minho, and that's p cut and clear. no excuses tolerated here. i'm immensely disappointed in taemin and key as people because i thought they were better than that, but turns out they're pretty much the same people they were in like 2010 which is the last time something like this happened.

the consequences of them trying to loosen their professional boundaries and be more real people with real connections with their fans (which is overall a good thing i have said i appreciate) is that real people pretty much always have racist biases ingrained and naturalized in their heads. korean people have an neocolonial relationship to the US that rewards racism, so it is always present. colorism is rampant in asia with a direct tie to US colonial antiblackness. just on a personal level taekey should know better despite being so deep in the celebrity world and its beauty standards. colorism is not taught to be a social ill and related to racism in korea but if they took a second to think it would be obvious that it's hurtful.

people on twitter are being actively racist to people who say the truth which is that what they said is harmful. i will not be talking about shinee for the next whatever amount of time because i have a distaste for my faves currently and it hurts.

Not a crush (Pedri x Reader)

**I got this request and thought it could be cute and fun. It’s true that the Spanish press has been talking about this arms situation a lot, so it’s a good blend of fiction and reality. But then it turned into one of those writing projects that changed 7 times before its final form. For a second I even thought about turning this into a series. My brain! Anyways, enjoy reading! ❤️**

“All those years in uni to end up doing this”, you muttered. “I’m never going to be taken seriously”.

“What are you talking about?”

“This article I have to do”.

Your colleague Jordi moved his chair closer to yours to peek at your computer screen.

“You know that we can’t use the computers for personal stuff, right?”

You put your head on the table. Really, no one was going to take you seriously.

“Huh?”

“Why are you looking at photos of shirtless Pedri? Got a crush?”

“Shut up! I have to do an article about the evolution of his body in the last couple of years”.

“That’s cool”.

“It’s stupid!”

“I’ve done worse when I was an intern. Don’t be so negative”.

You guessed he was right. It could be a lot worse. And you didn’t have a crush but…there were worse ways to spend a Tuesday afternoon than looking at photos of a cute player. And being given an excuse to stare at his body, which had definitely changed in the last couple of years. You didn’t visit the gym much but liked it when others did. Especially if that was the result of their gym sessions.

Writing the article actually took a good chunk of your day. Between getting the right photos and videos for it and asking for permission to use them, the actual writing and your colleagues' stupid comments about it, it wasn't as easy as you thought it would be at first. But it was a good article. And once the editor saw it and was happy with it, it was posted on the newspaper's website.

The following day you posted a link to it on your social media accounts and a little later you started to go through the comments. So many of them talked about how you were only picked to do that article because it was about a man's body and you were a woman. Right…nothing new on Twitter.

“Stop replying to hate comments”.

“It’s therapeutical”.

"It's pointless".

Just one more…

It wasn't just the press or people on social media talking about Pedri's muscles. His teammates loved to tease him joking about that too.

"Here comes the Spanish Lewandowski", laughed Eric.

"So funny".

"Please don't be mad at me. I'm afraid you'll use those big strong muscles to punish me".

Pedri did use his muscles to push his friend and get him out of the way. He knew it was just banter but it all got boring after a few days.

"There needs to be a big signing or something so your arms stop being the topic of the week", told him Ferrán, who was looking at his phone.

“Yeah, I saw Barça posting about it on social media too. People are so overdramatic”.

“Totally, but I didn't mean that. I meant the new article”.

"What new article?"

Ferrán showed him your article and Pedri sat down to read it properly. It was a great article. You took the time to analyze the way his game could be influenced by this body change and picked different photos than the ones used by everyone else. He guessed there were still proper journalists out there. What a plot twist.

"It's a good article", he said, giving the phone back to his friend.

"The internet seems to disagree".

"What do you mean?"

"Well, I don't know if they disagree but the girl who wrote it was getting a lot of shit on social media".

"Why?", Pedri couldn't hide his frown.

"I didn't look much into it but I saw people saying nasty things to her and then they found some old tweets and …seems like she used to have a crush on you and now she writes about your muscles or whatever and people on Twitter are the way they always are".

"Right", he murmured. He had listened to everything his friend said but also got stuck on how you used to have a crush on him. And he didn't even know who you were but footballers…they just loved being loved.

"No point in deleting them now", said Jordi.

"I wasn't going to…".

People had too much time on their hands. That was the conclusion of the day. Somehow, just because of your article, someone decided to check your entire Twitter history to see if there was anything they could accuse you of. They probably were mad to find no offensive tweets but they found two where you retweeted a Barça fan page and wrote about liking Pedri.

The funniest thing was you barely remembered those tweets. You saw him, thought he was cute and posted that. Then you moved on. There were many players you found cute but had no time for crushes. Pedri got a mention purely for the fact that he signed for your team.

But now this was being used against you. So childish.

"Are you busy next week?"

You looked up to see your boss talking to you. He never talked to you.

"I guess. I mean, I'll be here working. So…".

"Do you have a passport?"

"Yes".

"Your English was good, right?"

"Pretty good, yeah".

He only had to look at your CV to see all the qualifications you had, including all the diplomas that proved your English was more than good but…no one cared that much about an intern.

"You're going on the US tour", he said and left. How could he drop that bomb and leave?

Your jaw was on the floor and Jordi was staring at you with a similar expression.

"Wait!", you said, finally able to get up and follow your boss. "What do you mean I'm going on the US tour? There is a group of people chosen for that already. It was decided months ago".

"I know", he said casually. "But one of them can't go and you'll take his spot".

"But I'm just an intern".

"Do you not want to go?"

"I do! Of course I do!", you said quickly. "But it doesn't make sense".

"Look. You're doing really well here. And you've gotten people to visit our website more than ever with just one article so…you earned it".

You had heard about all the visits to the website after the Pedri article was posted. But the way your boss was avoiding holding eye contact told you everything you needed to know.

"Am I just going because people think I have a crush on one of the players that'll be there?"

"If you weren't a good journalist, that wouldn't be enough for me to send you with that team. But it doesn't hurt".

"Ok, I'll start packing".

This was a great opportunity and you weren't going to reject it just because of some of the reasons surrounding it. But the excitement you felt when you first heard about the trip completely vanished.

And when you checked your Instagram and saw a certain player was looking at your stories…it was even worse.

No one took you seriously but you'd prove them wrong.

The pre-season was both loved and hated by players. Pedri didn't really have strong feelings about it. It was just part of the job and they got to visit some different places so there were positives to take from these couple of weeks.

Another positive was having you around. After finding out about your article and your past crush on him, he checked your social media accounts. There wasn't much on any of them, since they were professional accounts. But there were a couple of photos of you and your dog.

Stories were something you also used to mostly promote your work and it was while checking those he found out you were going to the US too. He was hoping you'd meet at some point but didn't expect you'd be the one to interview him.

"Hi, nice to meet you", you said, extending your hand for him to shake. So professional.

"Nice meeting you too. I really liked your article about me".

Something changed in your expression and he couldn't understand what it was but you quickly got back to professional mode.

"Thank you. Let's get this done quickly. I was told we only have 15 minutes".

The interview was pretty uneventful. You asked good questions and Pedri gave you good answers in return. But you were so serious. He didn't know you personally, so maybe that was how you always were. But Pedri had a feeling there was more to it.

"Was that good?"

"The interview? Yes, thank you for your answers. They were really good".

"Easy when the questions are good too".

You nodded, quickly looking away.

"Are you ok?"

"Why wouldn't I be?"

"Because it seems like you would want to be anywhere but here".

You closed your eyes and sighed.

"Is it because of what people said about you?"

His words made you open your eyes and you finally looked at him. Instead of answering, you simply nodded.

"Don't pay attention to them".

"Easier said than done. Especially when they are the reason I'm here".

"The reason…".

"I'm not here because I'm good at my job. But because people thinking I have a crush on you got us a lot of attention. And now this interview will get more attention. So I'm basically just a pawn and I guess so are you".

"I'm sorry".

"It's not your fault".

Picking up your things, you got ready to leave but Pedri stopped you.

"I don't read what people write about me but my parents do. They like to keep the articles and print the photos and all that. Things parents do, I guess", he shrugged. "I read your article because Ferrán showed it to me and thought it was great. And then my parents told me about it, praising your writing multiple times. Your newspaper might be using you but you're good. You showed it to me in this interview too so don't feel sad".

"I don't have a crush on you".

"What?", but then he realised what you meant. "I didn't praise you because of that. God, you really need to get out of that mindset".

When Pedri started to laugh, you were more confused than ever.

"It's not you against the world. And people will praise you just because they genuinely want to…but now I'll be the one who's sad".

"Why?"

"I liked thinking you had a crush on me".

Now you were laughing too. Finally, he got to see the smile he had seen in those photos.

"Thank you for your words. I needed them. And you must go to train. I'll see you around".

"Yes".

The interview was posted just a couple of hours later. And even if Pedri's words helped, the comments you got still hurt.

Got what she wanted. To meet him.

"Yes, that's all I wanted in life. I can retire now".

"Why are you looking at your phone like it offended you?", asked one of your colleagues.

"It's the people inside it that offend me".

"Are there people living inside your phone?"

You half laughed at his bad joke.

"I know what you need to cheer up".

"Really?"

"Yes. Thoughts on karaoke?"

That made you laugh. You were such a terrible singer. "I like it. People don't like hearing me sing, though".

"I want to hear you sing so you're coming with us tonight".

One of the easiest ways to get in trouble during pre-season was to go out and wake up to paparazzi photos of the party. But when it was the coach that took you out…then it was fine?

Pedri wasn't really into parties anyways but he thought karaoke night could be fun. He wasn't planning on signing but knew which teammates would. His phone was going to record all of it to tease them in the future.

"It started already", said Xavi, who was the first one to get inside the bar.

And he was right. There was someone leaving the stage while they found their tables. And someone else took the previous person's place immediately. Pedri wasn't interested in the random people who were going to sign but still looked up to see who was talking to the guy that controlled the machine.

And it was you who was on the stage.

"Well, that's a surprise", he said, almost to himself.

"What is?", Ferrán was now looking at the stage too. "Who is she? She's hot".

"The journalist who wrote about my muscles".

"The one that doesn't have a crush on you?", he laughed. "That's funnier now that I know she's pretty".

Pedri rolled his eyes and continued staring at you. He could see you were giggling and it was such a change from the super serious woman he met for the interview.

You picked a Franz Ferdinand song. They were one of your favourite bands when you were a teen and after seeing them live at the FIB, you were back to listening to all their songs on repeat.

Your voice wasn’t great but who cared about that on karaoke night? Pedri didn’t. He just stared at you. You looked so relaxed. Just having fun instead of the worried version of you he got for his interview.

“Whoever she chooses would be lucky. She isn’t lying”.

Ferrán’s words took Pedri out of his daydreams. “What do you mean?”

“The song”.

“I’m not really paying attention to the lyrics. What do they mean?”

His teammate explained the meaning of the lyrics quickly and Pedri had to agree. Whoever you chose would be very lucky.

“I wouldn’t mind being the chosen one but you saw her first. Shame she doesn’t have a crush on you anymore, Pedrito”.

Yeah, it was a shame.

When you finished your song, you felt so much better. This had been the right plan to improve your mood. None of your colleagues wanted a drink, so you went to the bar to get one. It was needed after all that singing.

“I didn’t know you were a singer too?”

You turned to face Pedri and snorted. “Yes, it was my plan b if journalism didn’t work out”.

“There is always autotune to help”.

Pedri was pleased to see you laughing at his words. It was the second time in just one day he had achieved that.

“Do you want a drink too?”, you asked him when the bartender was taking your order.

“Just water, please”.

Once you got your drinks, none of you moved from the bar to go back to your friends. You just kept chatting.

“I mean, who knew writing about someone’s arms could lead to so much drama”.

Pedri followed your eyes which were now staring at his biceps. “Want to touch them?”

Yes. “No”.

“After reading the article I wondered if you knew more about my body than I do, you know? So it’s ok, you can touch”.

You bit your lip, trying not to blush. "I know you hear every day about how good you are at everything and that makes you overly confident but you aren’t as great at flirting as you might think".

"I heard about how great I am from you too. So you're at fault".

"I've barely written about you apart from that article".

"Yeah, but the old tweets…".

"I told you I don’t have a crush on you”.

“And the way you’re blushing says something different”.

When he leaned closer, you noticed how your knees were touching beneath the bar. They had been touching for a couple of minutes and you hadn’t even noticed. Nor did you feel the need to move.

“Not here”, you said.

“What?”

“Not where people can see us”.

“I thought you didn’t…”.

“I just want to test a theory”.

“What theory?”, he asked, smirking at you.

“If the crush I had on you two years ago is still there”.

Just saw a thumbnail for a commentary YouTuber commenting on the ‘dream vs Connor’ situation, and it was awful. The comments however seem to be proving that the greater internet is finally starting to see all these fake CCs for what they are, and also how horrid the treatment of Dream is. So I guess that’s nice, cause YouTube is where the core fanbase is for Dteam and seeing a majority of them on their side right now is amazing.

Irrelevant CCs continue to prove one thing. They’re irrelevant for a reason. Their entire content is based on shitting on someone els-which is fleeting, and adhering to a mob that will turn its back on them the second they make a mistake. And none of them can handle being in dreams shoes, cause they get just a teeniest taste and cave immediately.

They couldn’t make the drituation stick, and the gogcident seems to be more on George’s side now, everyone is airing out petty grievances against Dteam, and they’re all looking like fools. I could cry. We’ve waited for days like this. The Brighton bastards pissed off the commentary YouTubers, which is NOT something you want to do. I never thought I’d see the day. Twitter is still Twitter, but everywhere else is starting to realize things.

Caiti shot herself in the foot by taking this whole thing public, and her friends solidified the beginning of the end for her by doing what they did. George may have “lost” on Twitter, and some of his “friends” may have publicly turned on him, but her career is done. She lost her passion and outside of Twitter, no one really believes a word she says.

Who knew it’d take a misguided, reactionary 19 year old to catapult the general public opening their eyes to the vitriol Dteam has been facing for years? And her friends airing out their petty grievances was the nail in the coffin. I said continuously during my four years in this fandom that the tides will change for Dream, and people will be making exposés on how the internet treated him. I don’t think it’s quite that time yet, but we are getting close.

I feel for Caiti in the sense that losing your passion for something you once loved sucks. I’ve been there and it’s awful. But she brought it upon herself the second she removed her autonomy in the situation and didn’t even listen to George’s response. That is the bare minimum of what she should have done, and she didn’t, so she created her own end, albeit probably unintentionally.

To the anon doom posting about Sapnap leaving George, go back to Twitter or TikTok. That energy isn’t wanted here. If Sapnap and George didn’t leave Dream during the drituation, they’re not going to leave George when he makes a mistake. They’ve all clearly stated they love each other, and having known each other for over a decade, it would take a lot to lose a friendship that deep and with that kind of longevity. We were walking on eggshells for a bit, but that’s his brother. Take your doomposting elsewhere.

Sorry this is more of a ramble; had a lot to say and needed a place to go with it. Appreciate my morning tea, always.

In light of all the bitching about the upcoming patch, I was so happy to hear you’re also not… mad at Larian, I guess? I was wondering if I’m missing something, because for all its bugs, the game is fine the way it is, to me. More than fine, it’s a great game, the first that really means something to me since Dishonored. Idk, I’m literally over here just vibing, glad I’m not alone in that 😌

I noticed there's been a trend in recent years, I think started by those media that truly DID become horribly disappointing as it went on (last season of GOT, for example), and people started just... like

There is a phase most media get where they are the Best Ever, they Can Do No Wrong. And then one day that phase ends, and suddenly, that media Can Do No Right. Everything is a mistake, everything is wrong, everything is an attempt to cater to one group of fans (who are, of course, the wrong group to cater to) and/or an attempt to spite one group of fans. I think that in this day and age, people sometimes don't understand the difference between consuming media critically, I.E., using critical thinking to understand the themes, plot, and characters, and consuming media critically, I.E. criticizing everything the creators say and do.

So instead of looking for simple explanations, I.E., "different trainings and specialties mean that the division of labor at Larian has a team that works on new animations, but that team is not the same team responsible for bug fixes, so getting new animations from the former isn't why the latter hasn't repaired Polearm Master or Shield Bash or Raphael and Mol's scene yet" they instead assume "Larian only cares about Astarion and Halsin* and are catering to their fans again at the expense of literally everything else"

*The idea that Halsin fans are receiving any kind of special treatment is laughable, but that is very much the accusation being made- i want to see their reaction when they open up patch 6 and see that their fave has new kiss animations too tbh. As for the new scenes datamined for Halsin, those are all in response to complaints made by people who HATE Halsin, not complaints by his fans. A platonic confession scene? A version of the post-breaking the curse scene that doesn't involve flirting? The only two that were made for Halsin fans were fixing his post-Drow dialogue and the ability to go with him at the end, and the latter hasn't been fully implemented yet (you can get a flag saying you chose him, but you don't get to tell him and have him respond yet). But I have seriously digressed.

IDK, it just seems like we're in the phase of fandoms where, since the initial joy of discovering what the game has to offer has worn off, people are getting their dopamine from getting angry instead, and that means making a game of who can have the best hot takes, who or what is the most problematic and deserving of shunning, what have the creators done to fuck over us poor fans, etc.

There are many legitimate criticisms to be made against Larian, I want to be clear here- their treatment of Wyll's character has been horrific, and the interactions between Durge and Astarion should have been given for ALL characters. It is appalling that they have let Minthara's romance be bugged to the point that some people can only trigger it by modding the game because the flags are bugged and that they have allowed Halsin's voice lines to be bugged SINCE LAUNCH causing many to think they don't exist. All of these things deserve to be criticized. But ascribing malice to things like having separate work teams on the game, or the pile-on people started over that "we fixed it so a glitch can't cause Gale to leave your party" patch... Yeah.

It's never a good sign when a fandom starts to collectively chase the high that comes from being The Angriest. It doesn't seem to be as prevalent on here as on Twitter, thankfully (ironically, speaking as someone who was on this site since before Superwholock, the most toxic parts of Tumblr moved to Twitter after the porn ban, and now it's mostly rational people on here) but we are rapidly sliding towards the "do you people even like this game or do you like the version of it you created in your head?" phase of fandom that everyone dreads.

Hey guys! Dream just tweeted this voice message out on private twitter discussing the future of the Dream SMP. Here’s my transcription of it.

I see a lot of buzz on twitter so I thought I’d talk about it. The dream smp is coming back, there’s a lot of big plans, that’s a thing I guess. People were talking about is it gonna be reboot is it gonna be reset, what now?

One thing I’ve never wanted to do and I feel like I’ve been very strong on the discord and to everyone in general having discussions about it is that we’re not resetting the map, getting rid of the old history, the lore. If we wanted to do that, we’d just do a new server. The thing that makes the Dream SMP unique is the lore and the history.

But that being said SMP servers in general usually do resets every couple of months or whatever cause it does get stale because of the limitations of Minecraft once you get certain items so it does get boring for some people and that’s kinda a shared thing amongst everybody. People like George being like ‘Oh I’m not a builder so there’s nothing I can do on the server because I can’t get on and kill anyone cause everyone has netherite,’ or it’s Tubbo who is more of a builder but once he gets to a certain point its like there’s not that much to do. You’ve already built what you want to build, you’ve built all your redstone machine whatever so it’s kind of a problem related to SMPs.

I do genuinely think we have a solution that we all came up with together. I think I’ve talked individually with every member of the SMP bar maybe one or two that we haven’t linked up with and some stuff is definitely happening. It will be unique. It will be a way we can kind of have the best of both worlds and have an awesome season 2 to the Dream SMP while including stuff from season 1 in a way but still to be continued and also starting things off strong.

There’s a lot of plans put in place to hold people to play on the server and keep the same family team environment we’ve had on the Dream SMP since the beginning and everyone I’ve talked to so far has been really committed and really excited and that was something I was surprised about, I thought there’d be more people who were iffy or weren’t as interested in it. Everyone has been really hyped, it’s the same discussion that has been going on for a month and a half or so. Things have been really ironed out. There should be stuff by the end of this month.

As for Techno's stuff, I don't think we'll continue anything to do with his character. As far as I know, he hasn't written anything for himself either. His dad did mention on a call with me the other night that he would be open to doing something related the SMP. Like a charity related thing on Techno’s behalf. So, if that ends up happening, it'd be fully related to his dad and his family. I’m sure primarily anyone who would have any involvement in it at all would be his closest friends and family. That’s all I know for Techno’s involvement.

So, yeah very long voice note, I guess. Lots of stuff coming to the Dream SMP, everyone’s excited everyone seems really interested and hyped to stream it. You guys won't expect what's coming. The story's not ending; the story’s gonna be back and better than ever but there will be a lot of things that will change things. You guys can theorise if you like the dynamics are gonna be different the relationships are gonna be different, there’s going to be a world altering event and yeah, stay tuned all your favourite streamers will be streaming it soon. Everyone will play a part. Peace!

I dont know if you've noticed but there's been new drama on Twitter regarding one of Angel Dust scenes that depict him being SAd by Val and people got so mad over it saying it was incredibly disrespectfull, harming and insensitive to real SA victims.

While I agree maybe not everyone will enjoy that scene I dont think they should be surprised when it was announced that Hazbin was much darker than Helluva Boss considering its +18 calification and setting (also it makes sense when you consider Pride is inhabited by the worst of the worst and people got sent there as punishment for their misdeeds but get no regulation/sentence for their crimes and can continue their sinful acts while Hellborns were born there hence why they have a more grey morality-like Blitzø,Loona, Moxxie or Millie-and lower Rings actually have laws to ensure people's safety). The warnings are there for a reason, buddy.

Also people are talking about how bad it is to represent SA as what it is; something uncomfortable for SA victims and are comparing it with stuff that did it for laughs like Moral Orel in S1. Yes, SA is uncomfortable and ugly to watch but I think its important to have the representation as male SA victims (or just SA victims in general) get laughed at and blamed for something that wasn't their fault. And trauma isn't something pretty and people sometimes have not extremly good coping mechanisms to deal with it. It's raw,ugly and discomforting to watch but SA victims can relate to that and actually aive seen oeople saying that they had similar expierences to Angel and honestly it feels good to be seen.

Plus honestly this whe debacle kinda reminds me of how people victim blamed Stolas for also being a SA victim as confirmed in the Circus and went out of their way to villify him by implying that he must have done something to piss Stella off for her to rape him and concevie Via which is essentially the same as asking a girl or woman what they were wearing and blaming them for getting SAd. And also shame them for trying to cope with it however they can, like joking about it or glorifying it in attempts to make them feel not so shitty for what happened to them; like how they're doing with Viv for joking about her past trauma currently.

Idk it just feels like people, especially non SA victims, dont want SA victims to have visibility and go out of their way to say harmfull stuff like SA victims shouldn't be sexy or shouldn't have sex again in their lives which is more harmfull than good as youre basically shaming them into being unhappy with their bodies just for an unpleasant and undesireable expierence they had no say in it instead of healing. I get that its uncomfortable but it doesn't mean we wont to see Angel get better and be treated with the respect he deserves in future episodes.

I kinda find it funny they bring up Moral Orel, considering they did show rape victims in a more serious light in S3, which is what got the show canceled by Adult Swim. But yeah. I dont see what's wrong with showing how horrifying and terrible SA is. If it's because of his behavior, yeah...that's how he copes. Like, hypersexuality is a thing that victims of SA can go through.

Then again, I guess Antis know better than SA victims. I mean.........just look at 'em. /sarcasm
