RP EXPERIENCE/HOW LONG (MONTHS / YEARS?): This blog, which I made back in 2015. So 7 years this year if my math’s right. 

BEST EXPERIENCE: The storylines my partners and I have made over the years and how interconnected all of our respective “worlds” have become with each other’s. Hell, plenty of times I still reminisce over big beats @cxrsedsouls​ and @thewolfisawake​ and I’ve all done together like the rebellion, the Bastion group, etc. Some of my best memories were getting out of class and opening Discord to catch up on what all angsty misery Kirei and Angie got into while I was away.

RP PET PEEVES/DEALBREAKERS: Yeesh. I feel like if I list too many I’ll seem like someone easily irritable, but it’s just I’ve been doing this for so long that I know what’s just not great with me haha. People who don’t give you the time of day if you don’t instantly jump into a ship with them, people who won’t bother writing with you if you aren’t a ship partner, people who only care about their muse/what your muse can do for them in a ship, people who only want to collect the hottest guy for a ship, etc. A lot of ship ones! Ironic because I love ships, but I feel like when it comes to shipping Tumblr rp tends to generate a lot more...minefields. Ships are great and I love them, but sometimes I just want to write man.

Last but not least old man complaint of mine is my biggest one and just the one I have out in my rules. If we’re mutuals, as in either you followed me back or followed me first, but then I can’t...ever get you to write with me. That situation usually combines with my complaints above regarding shipping since it’s usually those blogs will follow people back, but then only ever answer memes/asks/threads from their shipping partners or people who are fine with jumping right away into a romantic relationship.

But that’s enough bellyaching for me! I just give it a couple of tries over a while and then curate my dash if it doesn’t work out.

A Whine...I know

As a preface: I can't get plugins to work right in Blender and I still can't wrap my head around the coding to make actual mods myself. So no, I don't need someone harping at me on "doing it myself" thank you. And yes, I'd absolutely comm someone, but I'm not sure this one specific modder that I use head presets from has a ko-fi. Gonna poke around at that.

Anywho, my whine and I know it's selfish...

I wish head preset modders would add more heads with Githyanki ears as an option. :C Vempren Heads has the half-gith heads, but none are for Tiefs.

The ONE Tiefling head that exists with them looks so nice, but I can't stand the small, button nose on that head. Like, at all. It's a pet peeve of mine with sculpt creators in both FFXIV and BG3. I like more prominent noses, but they ALWAYS default to small, cute noses and it drives me up a wall.

FFXIV modding is way easier and they use .fbx files which is so nice. I wish Larian would just used .fbx files, but oh well.

Anywho. I love the modded head Kathani and use that on my Durge with modified textures (that's as far as my modding know how goes. i can unpack files with ease and edit textures, but...everything else is...yeesh). But MAN would I love to have Gith ears on that head.

I WOULD ABSOLUTELY THROW MONEY AT THAT MODDER FOR GITH EARS. TRUST ME. I WOULD.

This is partly because I gave my Durge Gith spots on her body. I kinda have this headcanon that Bhaal just kinda threw her in a blender of racial characteristics since she's a full-blooded Bhaalspawn.

oh, i'm not saying frank and JD are nothing alike it's just that I saw a very bad interpretation of frank, I would of list the things that frank did but I can't because It's THAT BAD and it made me uncomfortable for 2 days 🤢. (That has got to be the worst character interpretation I've ever seen in my life).

Frank, on the other hand, does imo! While he is an absolute menace, like I've said before, his views on a lot of shit aren't as twisted, just a bit skewed. He's a dumb teen with anger issues, had a p shit life growing up let's be real, but he was still able to find joy in Ormond with The Legion. He did bad shit, but he never really intended to ever kill anyone, more so just hurt the people he deemed as irredeemable (which yeahhh not the best but jfdslfds I'm letting it slide, I like characters like this LMAO). The only reason he ended up stabbing the store clerk was because he was holding Julie hostage, and he had to act fast.

I hate when people make him just,,, absolutely horrible. You can give him asshole qualities without absolutely destroying his character. He respects and loves his friends (especially Julie), and wouldn't wanna hurt them. He led the Legion believing that what they were doing was right and cause they just wanted to have fun messing with people. Another pet peeve of mine is when people baby him and say that he did nothing wrong, but that's a WHOLE different rant for another day :o)

If they fuck up his character in the comic istg I will go feral <3

A major pet peeve of mine is an unfortunately common tjing. When my muse says something, psuses for any length of time, regardless how short, and then adds something else… Please please please, I’m begging you, treat it as one response instead of two seperate ones. Its one conversation, not two. One verbal conversation, not one text and one snap chat convo. Its just one. Its not natural. In conversations, individual points get sacrficed to keep up with the flow of conversation. You don’t halt it to address the first point completely sepetate from the second. You respond to both as one or just the one. Please. I’m begging you. Stop replying as if a half second pause gives you room to answer five sentences before my muse adds their after thought. Its a half second pause! Yeesh!

PC/Steam Review: Amnesia: Memories

Final Grade: B-/C+ (That’s being generous) TL;DR: Character design was great; Story telling was poor and confusing. Pretty mediocre considering how much love this game has in the otoge community.

When IF first announced the localization of this game, I was excited because I’ve seen plenty fanart and love from the otoge community of this game. IF international had a period where you could sign up to be in the beta testing of the game, and I signed up. I do not regret signing up for the beta, because the beta testers got this game for free. Honestly, I would have been very sad if I had paid for this game. This game was a huge letdown for me. I had all the hype built up for it, and it just ended up in a nasty mess. I’m glad they localized this due to the fact of the popularity of this game and that will help more companies localize more otome games. However, I did not enjoy this title. 

The Pros: Localization-Localization team did a fantastic job.  I’m glad that they had a beta testing period, due to the fact that it helped find bugs/typos and ask for audience input. Truly felt like IF was looking out for the fans and wanted to help create a great game while rewarding the fans who helped. IF did a stellar job with the way they managed this game and I hope there will be more to come. Also on the plus side, they released on Steam which makes it very easy to patch bugs and whatnots after the game released. Character Design/Voice actors-I love the character designs and the art style in general. The vibrant but blurry backgrounds helped the characters with their card suit outfits stick out when they were on screen. Voice Acting was on-point, and I’m so glad that localization teams for otoges are keeping the original Japanese voices, nowadays. I’m not about the dub life. Ukyo- Yes this requires a separate mention. Ukyo best route, prolly since I played it last too the route just tasted even sweeter. Watch out for the bad endings though… Endings- Plenty of endings where you have one good one normal. Sometimes the normal ending didn’t feel satisfying at all, but I can’t complain if I get more game time and CGs :D

The Cons: Artwork-Two words….. NOODLE ARMS. This is just a personal pet peeve of mines… but the noodle arm game was very strong. That and just sometimes the CGs were very awkwardly drawn…. Nothing to upsetting just sometimes the poses look unnatural. However, as I listed in the Pros, art style and character design was stellar. This is also understandable since the game was released A LONG TIME ago in Japan and just recently localized here. Touma- This route also required a special mention, and not for good reasons. I get it, some people like the crazy obsessive character types, in fact a lot of people in the otoge community do, hence why Diabolik Lovers is so popular. *groans* However, I am not one of those people. Getting through Touma’s route was exceedingly painful. PLUS his character wasn’t even well written. If you want a well written “violent”/ “yandere”/ “kidnapper” character, please go play Code:Realize and go for Saint Germain (He is my favorite route in that game) During that whole route, even at the good end, I didn’t feel loved and I wanted to punch the main character in the face for saying that she loved him. Abundance of BAD ENDS- I swear if I wasn’t playing with a guide, I would’ve hit all the bad ends before I could find the good end. EVEN THE NORMAL END FELT LIKE A BAD END. Yeesh, I don’t like to be unhappy when playing an otome game, especially getting to an end of a route. Storytelling in all routes except Ukyos- The story was confusing and unfulfilling in almost all the routes. I get that they want you to play the full game to get the full story, but I felt this was so bad to the point where the routes didn’t feel they were complete and you were just thrown around.

Bottom Line: I’m sad I did not enjoy this game as I thought I would. Perhaps it’s because this is an older game that just recently got localized, it didn’t feel polished as I was hoping it to be. I’m glad the localization team chose to make it accessible to players prior to release, this made my experience a lot better. However, the raw game itself had a lot of issues. After this game and the Diabolik Lovers series, I’m skeptical to try “popular” games in the otoge community now. 

Ukyo’s route is the only route that matters here. (though he’s a little insane... for the right amount of reasons)
