I've completed my fanfic based on the ask @ammonitetheseawing sent me. I really loved this idea so I had to write this. Please keep in mind that this is like the second fanfic I've ever written, and it might not be the best, so please don't be mean. Anyways, here it is!
(Quick note: I'm actually 90% sure I spelt Yunan's name wrong this entire time and I really just don't have the energy or time to fix it so I'm sorry )
Rescued
It had all happened so fast. One minute she was in the grasp of King Andrias, being used as a pawn against her will. Then suddenly Lady Olivia and General Yunnan had come to rescue her. Now, they were running for their lives, searching for a safe place to hide. Well, Marcy was being carried on General Yunnan's back, since her legs were too weak to walk. There had been a burning question in Marcy's head though. Why? Why did they risk everything to save her?
They had finally gotten to a safe place. No one should find them here at least for a couple of days. Yunnan set Marcy down carefully on the ground, and sat next to her. Olivia joined them as well. "Are you okay? Are you hurt?" Olivia asked Marcy, iher breath still heavy from running.
" I'm fine," Marcy said quietly. In reality, though, she knew that was a lie. Honestly, she didn't think she would ever be fine again, but after everything that has happened, the last thing she wanted was for people she cared about to worry about her when she felt like she didn't deserve it.
Lady Olivia looked at Marcy and frowned. She could tell Marcy wasn't telling the truth. She knew Marcy wasn't telling her something. Lady Oliva looked at General Yunnan and Yunnan nodded her head. "There's something you're hiding from us isn't there," Lady Olivia said, "You can tell us what's really going on dear. We won't be mad or upset. We just want to help you."
Marcy sighed. She couldn't believe that it had been so obvious. "It's just, you and Yunnan both risked your lives to save me when you didn't have to. I guess I just want to know why. Why did you choose to save me"
The two newts went silent. Olivia and Yunnan shared a look, neither knowing what to say. After a minute or two, Yunnan broke the silence. "Because you don't deserve that pain. You don't deserve anything that you've been put through. You were manipulated and betrayed by someone you trusted, then you were essentially killed by him, and then he possessed you and hurt you more. You're just a child! You didn't deserve that!" Yunnan said.
"Yunnan's Right. You didn't deserve any of that. And you most certainly don't deserve to go through any of this alone," Olivia started, "When you first arrived in Amphibia, we did what we could to make sure you were happy and comfortable. We did our best to provide you with anything you needed or wanted. That's what we were ordered to do by the king. We were never really there when you needed us. We were kind of just standing by. But ever since Andrias shared his true colors and hurt you, we can't stand by anymore and let him hurt you."
"He can bring on whatever he wants, but we just can't let him purposely hurt you. That's over now," Yunnan continued.
Marcy looked down. She couldn't believe what she had just heard. All of the sudden, all of the pain, fear, guilt, and sadness she felt became overwhelming. She started holding back tears, but then she couldn't hold it in anymore. She started sobbing uncontrollably.
Lady Oliva and General Yunnan moved closer to Marcy to comfort her. "Let it all out kiddo," General Yunnan said.
"We're here for you. Just let it all out," Lady Olivia added.
"I just feel so guilty and confused and scared. I still can't forgive myself for what I did to my friends, and I know they hate me. I still haven't got to process what Andrias did to me and there's just so much fear and horror I keep relieving from that. And I'm so scared about what is going to happen to me and you guys and my friends and I don't know if they're safe. And I feel so guilty because this is all my fault. And even though I'm so thankful that you rescued me, I don't feel like I deserve it because I've made so many mistakes and this is all my fault," Marcy sobbed.
Olivia and Yunnan looked at each other once again, and started to hug Marcy to comfort her. Marcy continued to sob. The love and support she felt from Olivia and Yunnan made sob even more because this is what she didn't know she needed. Suddenly, she felt an uncomfortable but familiar feeling. Then, she no longer had control of her mind or body.
All of the sudden, Marcy stopped crying. Olivia and Yunnan looked at each other confused. Hesitantly, Oliva asked, "Marcy, do you feel a bit better now dear?"
"Yes," the young girl said, "I'm feeling better, Lady Olivia."
The young girl turned around, the light shining on only half of her face. Her eye glowed bright red, orange, and yellow. She had an evil grin on her face. "I'm feeling much better," she said.
