Help me fix my scooter for my birthday!

Hi all. My birthday is tomorrow and fate has decided to not be kind to me. My scooter, my only reliable transport to and from work, has decided to take a turn for the worse overnight and it can barely get me halfway to work without dying completely. I can't afford to take Lyfts or have any other way to get to and from work and I need to buy nearly $250 worth of parts to fix my scooter.

If y'all could help either donate or spread this around so I could maybe get the parts I need, I'd really appreciate it. At this point anything helps, I just can't lose my only way to and from work.

If I can get the entire amount still needed, I can do the following:

Get a nice dinner for my birthday

Get a bigger framed pair of glasses, as my current frame is too small, and get a replacement pair of prescription sunglasses as my regular sunglasses just aren't cutting it

Get a few more supplies for the room (a broom/standing dustpan, paper towels, NeutraAir spray) and for the cats (cat litter and cat food, including the special dry food they need)

We currently have the room until the morning of the 27th, but my birthday is on the 23rd and I'd love to get the room for a few extra days if possible so that we can relax until we get our disability.

We'll be going to the LGBTQA center to get Lena transferred to a gender-affirming care GP and we'll go to Exodus as well next week as well, so any help with gas to get there would be amazing.

Hello everyone, it's been a long hiatus due to many circumstances and issues that have made stability impossible.

But I'm back and I'm looking for a bit of help from anyone who might be able to help.

My mother was diagnosed with cancer, and we are currently struggling with bills that we aren't able to pay, among other matters that just make things worse.

I'm currently looking for any help that may be given and so I've opened my Ko-fi shop along with a few commission spots if anybody is interested. Or if you just want to donate a bit, then that's alright. I set a goal, though I didn't know exactly how much to set the goal for but it's done for anyone wanting to chip in.

Lost job and brink of losing home

i hate to do this again but i lost my job due to retaliation disguised as it being my performance , my job has been trying to cut me off for awhile and finally after holding on they let me go. im currently unemployed and searching for a new job daily, waiting for callbacks, i dont have much longer in this lease and my landlord is hostile im afraid if he were to find out i lost my job he would look for any excuse to have me evicted. i just need to survive here till december and im free. i really dont want to end up losing everything ive spent 3 long years achieving on my own i really dont like asking for help unless it was actually dire. i dont have long till october is up and i still need to finish paying off my rent and then rent next month, if i can somehow reach 2k in the next 2 weeks i would be so greatful. even just a dollar goes a long way, especially if alot of people donate even a dollar it can add up so fast, if you really cannot spare a dollar, any sort of boost or sharing of my post would be so appreciated.

Get the hotel room for over a week, which will let us come and go without worrying about having to spend all day trying to raise money and we can run important errands next week

Close three open collection accounts my mom has by paying them off in full via her debt consolidation company, and pay off two defaulted payday loans

Pay off her PayPal debt so that PayPal will reopen her account

Have money to make a payment if I can get the debt collection company to find her other credit card account I need to arrange payments on

Get food after the 10th, because I fully expect both myself and my mom to be out of food stamps by then (also, I don't know who did it, but BLESS YOU to the person who bought us three DoorDash gift cards off the Amazon wishlist...I just wanted to put that out there in case you didn't send a gift receipt)

Most of this will be a huge help in getting us to be able to qualify for housing that requires credit checks, and helping Lena get her health stuff sorted and figure out if she has any other debilitating illnesses will help give her disability appeal more strength, which will help her get an income to support herself. Still unemployed

Sorry as always for the open rant you all witnessed two nights back from me. I'm genuinely very stressed about money. In summer and fall 2023 my concern was just trying to make myself noticed somehow, bit-by-bit through social media and gaining a substantial following just to better myself as an artist.

Now, I need any income I've got just to afford my rent and utilities.

To put it into perspective (besides the Ko-fi produced Shelby-fund, which was successfully breached and will be used this coming week on her vet bill) my ssi income's been reduced to 530$ a month while my rent is 760$. My old job supplied at least 300$+ but I don't have any of that coming in now. The stimulus money I was given as a parting gift instead of a final paycheck can't be withdrawn from or transferred to my main bank. I have at least 140$ left on that stimulus just for other expenses like busfair, art supplies, dog and home care.

I'm INCREDIBLY grateful to have my EBT card covering my groceries, my jobcoaches assisting with printing out cardstock for any (eventual) upcoming events or cons and getting me a buspass discount, and of course the backers to my Shelby fund to cover that for the year (much love to Brandon, Misty and Cheatsy on Ko-fi). I will be receiving unemployment soon, though still not enough to cover my rent and utility cost.

But, I need to pay for services on Upwork, Linked In and Vograce, for sensitivity readers and animators and shipping costs for any physical Etsy merchandise, possible venue space for real-life events, professional art prints, computer and tablet maitanance, and that's not even getting to possibly subscribing to sites such as instagram or Facebook. I still have a lot to save up for and do WITHOUT being unemployed.

As a reminder, I need to take commissions especially at this time, both 'quick' ones and more complex pieces.

5$ USD for Sketches (traditional or digital)

15$-20$ USD for Inked, flat colored art without backgrounds

30$ USD for complete pictures

3$ USD = specific medium (completely digital, colored pencil, ink/watercolors, chalk)

5$ USD = extra characters

5$ USD = shading/lighting

10$ USD = Physical shipping of the drawing if it’s traditional
