A pretty exciting start to the year with a slightly disappointing twist! While I did catch a shiny Buzzswole, some further examination of my (relatively old) save file revealed:

that Baldur the Buzzswole was not caught at full odds…

I know that in the initial Bingo Board 2024 post I said there wouldn’t be any guarantees that every target would be hunted at full odds. But something in my brain is telling me that this hunt hasn’t been resolved, despite me happily filling in that box.

But what am I going to do? Start a brand new Ultra Sun save file, speedrun to the end just so that I can reencounter Buzzswole and actually hunt it at full odds?!? That would be…crazy…

She is indeed, on top of the industry absolutely bloated with fad chasers and cost cutters instead of parsing the most reasonable practical effects for any situation. Which turns out, in the most recent flick, to have Green win for Lead Actor of the year. It was shocking to everyone but her.

She did in fact, tell him to magnify his own absolute fear and specifically build sets for him to run around in away from the most horrific soul sucking monster she could manage. It was the build to the sharp finale. The steady and uneasy frames. 

And then how upsetting to be “based on a true story”. Oh that upset people.

“Shame. I thought it was excellent. Wouldn’t be a good flick without twisting Green like a doll. I think I’ll do it again. Those are my words.”

She stares at Remy and pops the red Hoothoot glasses down over her eyes again.

This year’s SHINY BINGO BOARD! Some old hunts from last year are returning, but a good majority are new! I’m super excited that I can include pokemon from GBA, DS, and 3DS games thanks to some upgrades to my setup. I also purposely avoided Scarlet/Violet hunts because frankly, I’m all Paldea’d out. One nice perk about this list is that I can reasonably simul-hunt a majority of these with the magic of ✨casual controls✨ in Sword and Shield.

Also, I believe that all of these hunts will be done full odds but I ain’t promising anything.

I want to finish up my Teal Mask video, but once that’s done, BINGO IS A GO!

Dr. Taurus's Evil Team Work Pitch!!

[A video is attatched to this post. A man in extravagant villain dress is fiddling with the camera.]

"AHA, YES, IT'S ON! I am DOCTOR TAURUS, the most fearsome dairy chef in all the regions, and this is my work pitch!"

[Dr. Taurus paces like a military general, hands behind his back while monologuing.]

"You see, this devilish man has studied the ways of Pokemon, their origins, their secrets! And now, all the powers of creation are in his hands!"

[He steps back and raises his hands. He then looks around, like he gave a cue that was missed.]

"AHEM!"

[Rare and powerful Pokemon rush in from the sides: a Celebi, Buzzswole, Phermosa and Victini, along with a Marshadow who slides in to the front along with Taurus's large figure. The two bug-type ultra beasts flex while the fairy-like mythicals strile poses, the Marshadow mimicking its trainer's proud posture.]

"GYAHAHA!! That's right, I mimicked all these great and terrible beasts to fight by my side, and if any criminals out there take in MY services, they will SURELY-"

[The Buzzswole, with an unusually polite posture, taps on Dr. Taurus's shoulder. The apparently-talking Pokemon has a deep voice.]

"Hey, Doctor? Didn't wanna interrupt, but Cream thinks he left some milk on the stove..."

"Shh! You're not Cream right now, you're- WHAT!?!?"

[Dr. Taurus scampers off as the fire alarm sounds off. Bits of smoke roll in.]

"GAH, OH ARC OH GIRA, IT'S GONNA TAKE AGES TO FIX THIS THING- EEEEYAH!! IT WANTS TO ROAST ME ALIVE!!"

[The team members cough and their bodies warble, then they all shake off their guises made of different dairy oddities, revealing their more... diminutive true appearances. A fire extinguisher is heard before Dr. Taurus returns, also having dropped a guise. He closes in to the camera, not seeming to have noticed the change around him and in his own outfit.]

"Aha! Ah yeah, cower before my horrific creations and all that! While we're looking for new schemers to serve and all, eh, we take food commissions! So, uh..."

[He wipes some whipped cream off his cheek, then looks back at his team. The Flapple pipes up.]

"Sorry doctuh. Didn't wanna burst your bubble, it was just getting stuffy and all..."

[He silently looks back at the camera again. he scratches his head.]

"...Okay, first of all that's a SHINY ANTIQUE right there! So, you oughta still... ah, to Dist with it! How do I end this thing..."
