*EDIT 3/18/2023: This first part is twice as long as the other parts (60 pages compared to 30), so you may want to read it in breaks. I was originally planning to post the fic in 4 parts, but I decided 60 pages was too much in one go. Just a heads up for any new readers.

Summary: After a gas leak at the Ramshackle Yume and his brothers Yuuta and Yuuuhi are temporarily moved to other dorms until the Ramshackle is habitable again. Yume ends up at Ignihyde and is happy to spend time with Ortho and Idia who they rarely get to see in person. They just have to get a handle on their anxiety and vivid dreams...what could go wrong?

After all my hinting and yapping about here is my Yume dorm sorting lore! It started out as a simple thing between me and @bunnwich and quickly spiraled into a very long character study/story. It's the longest thing I've ever written so far!

It takes place between Chapters 4 and 5 in canon, and goes in tandem with their Dorm sorting drabble HERE! (You don't need to read theirs to understand mine and vice versa!)

It's full of memes and inside jokes but there's some very real stuff in there too. This fic includes quotes and references to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. (A game dear to my heart! You don't have to know it to enjoy the fic.) I wrote this a long time ago before Chapter 6 came out in JPN so I was surprised with how well some of the themes meshed with the Shroud's backstory. It's a project of love and I hope you enjoy it. You don't have to read this to enjoy any content I post about Yume! This is just extra.

For DitR/BwaF, Were you planning on expanding more on the world/story at large or are ya content with what's down already? Anything implied instory you think could be expanded on for added juicy context?

For my writing I wrote it pre chapter 6, and in parts of it I have hc's and myths about the Isle of Laments and right at the beginning I go more in-depth about some history of the Scadling sands.

(Spoilers for chapter 6 below)

I even accidentally predicted stuff like the censorship of the STYX organization and Idia's family possibly being related to Hades! I definitely in the future want to write the next part of Yume and Idia's story.

Which would be the Ghost marriage event in my timeline.

I have the whole story roughly drafted and I know how it would go. I just need to find the time to focus, which has been hard lately since I'm looking for work. Then after that I would love to write events in between and ultimately rewrite Chapter 6 itself! :D In the future, I would love to touch more on Kalim and Yume's relationship as well. I want them to have a talk that I think they both desperately need for different reasons. I also didn't get to write it too much here but Yume and Leona's relationship too is a fun platonic dynamic to write about.

I also wanna explore more the Ramshackle gangs powers. (I have hcs for them as 4th years and new ocs for them to interact with.)

I also want to really get into me and @bunnwich reincarnation head canon (that is basically canon in our lore.)
