Quackity being unable to let go of the idea of marriage. Ever since he was young, he dreamed a about the princes and knights he would always read about. About finding his own one day.
Eret being the first and most literal. Literal royalty that wanted him by their side. But eventually, Eret's engagement ring to him found its way onto a chain that he kept around his neck.
And then there was Schlatt who was as charming and charismatic as any prince he had ever read about. Someone who was meant to rule. Someone who was gone as quickly as he was there, becoming nothing more than another ring on Quackity's chain.
But then came Karl and Sapnap. The bravest, fiercest people he knew when it came to love. The people who picked him up and rescued him like he was every damsel from his stories. They gradually faded away and this time, it took the longest for him.
Matching rings stayed on his trembling fingers even long after he felt rejected from Kinoko, locked out of the Kingdom that was supposed to be their home.
But over time, his hands would steady and his heart would curl in on itself, creating a protective shell around it. And as Quackity added two more rings to the chain around his neck, heavy as a hangman's knot making it hard to breathe, he swore the only rings that would ever again grace his fingers would be his own.

i 100% agree with what theminecraftbox had to add about c!quackity. i might be biased because he's my blorbo, but i think it's way more interesting to have sexual violence be the one line he REFUSES to cross in the prison. almost like it's a way to protect himself from his own corruption.
a;ljsfkdaslf i'm not too sure that's what kat was saying tbh
(more discussion of noncon under the cut)
i think in terms of c!dreamity, right, i think that the probability probably swings towards c!quackity not doing anything physically of a sexual nature--i think comments and threats are pretty damn likely, tbh, but i can see a separation made for him between the violent nature of what he's doing and, well, sex, for a variety of reasons. because he's a romantic at heart and wants aspects of his relationships/love life kept separate from the bloody depths of pandora, because of his own perceptions of propriety and social norms, what have you. that being said, i think it's fair to make an argument in the opposite direction--what's undeniable, as kat has mentioned, is that there is a degree of restraint regarding matters of a sexual nature w/ respect to the prison, in that if anything of that nature exists he is very obviously much less unapologetic about them compared to how he is around violence and torture in general in the context of pandora (like, there's just very little that's unsubtle about hitting someone with an axe), but the existence of restraint to some degree compared to the much more overt nature of the rest of the torture definitely doesn't in itself prevent torture with sexual elements from existing in totality. just bc he's not walking out of the prison covered in another type of bodily fluids doesnt mean that the frustration and desperation of trying to get the book for another bloody day, with noncon sitting between them as an elephant in the room from day one, combined with the obvious social connotations with power and sex and masculinity and what it means to make someone your bitch, couldn't have all boiled over. ykwim?
again, to stress: if we're talking purely in canon, my opinions tend to skew towards the lack of anything physically happening of a sexual nature during the prison arc torture visits. but the fact of the matter, to me, is that it could have existed and that we wouldn't, like, know. the torture has a curtain drawn over it for a reason; we are kind of meant to wonder what "2 1/2 months of continuous daily torture" is really supposed to mean. i think that the prison arc absolutely has the space for it to include stuff like, violent sexual assault.
which is kinda where i have...different feelings about manberg c!schlackity, tbh. the contexts are so different that this comparison is kinda hard to make, but while the sexual harassment and the abuse in c!quackity's relationship with c!schlatt is obvious and undeniable, i think the manberg arc as presented does provide constraints, to a certain effect, on c!schlackity's relationship? it's important to note that c!schlatt was perceived as a bumbling fool before he was elected, and that's literally part of why c!quackity even made a coalition with him in the first place. it certainly wasn't for ideological reasons, considering his wanting to make a coalition with pog2020 literal minutes before--this guy thought schlatt was his best ticket at beating pog2020, and schlatt was also someone that came off as drunk all the time and completely idiotic. again, i've not rewatched in awhile, but i don't really think c!schlackity was marked by this feeling of c!quackity feeling Trapped By Fear in manberg as much as he grew increasingly disillusioned with the relationship--the greatest evidence of fear as a motivating factor imo would have to happen post-red festival, but that's also a point where c!quackity's frustrations towards schlatt and manberg as a whole were boiling over and i don't really remember much of him using the red festival as evidence that c!schlatt was someone he was afraid to fuck with. as kat mentioned earlier, the physical abuse in c!schlackity was obvious and undeniable, but when it happened it was also the motivating factor for c!quackity to murder c!schlatt and run.
obviously, the sexual elements in c!schlackity are Far more pronounced than anything for c!dreamity, and if we're talking the presence of dubcon in general i feel like c!schlackity definitely has plenty of room for it, even if all you take into account is how c!schlatt was drunk 90% of the time. and w/ the context of how part of the deal for the coalition was framed as c!quackity's use of sex to get himself the position of VP and the ... not nonexistent presence of his lying and manipulating c!schlatt for the sake of power, bc their relationship in manberg really was predicated on power and c!quackity's pursuit of it specifically, there's a lot of ways that i think a sexual relationship for c!schlackity can fall that's far more ambiguous and two-sided than what i've often seen in terms of c!schlackity portrayals. but along that same line, when c!quackity's reaction to physical violence was so pronounced and made a point of, in some manners i feel like portrayals of inescapable sexual abuse and violent sexual assault re: c!schlackity don't really feel in line with what i remember of their relationship in canon; i just don't really feel like manberg as a context provides the same room for it, especially in comparison to pandora's vault, which was kind of the point i was trying to make in answering that anon. that's just me tho .

i kinda feel that c!quackity could be attracted to the idea of doing something like that to c!dream while in prison for the power. Like he cames from a abusive relationship when sexualization was used as objectification and harassment with a power imbalance so i see the posibility of him being feeling attracted to a situation when he has all the control and can do whatever he wants to another person and this person could not do anything about it. A situation where he would not be hurt and he's the one with power. But i think he'd be refraining from this bc Even if he's torturing a guy every day he wants to justified it that it is for the book so doing something out of this fantasy it'd not be for the book so he'd Lost his excuse. And also i do think he kinda feels a little bit guilty for torturing cdream deep deep inside of him, mostly bc of how the others would react, so i don't think he would feel happy doing that in the aftermath. Idk if this makes sense
First, a sidebar.
I don't necessarily view c!Schlackity as having an intrinsic power imbalance. A power imbalance is not a prerequisite for a toxic or even an abusive relationship. There was struggle, give-and-take, and mutuality in c!Schlackity: this isn't to say the abuse didn't exist, it clearly did; this is to say that after c!Schlatt hit c!Q with a pickaxe c!Q straight up killed him. I do think c!Quackity struggled to feel respected/not objectified. I think it's clear he felt and feels a frustrating lack of control. I think he felt that c!Schlatt didn't take him seriously, and that he wasn't being given his due as a partner; I think he felt disillusioned and disrespected.
I do view c!Quackity as perceiving most of his problems, his problems with c!Schlatt included, his problems with the fiances included, his problems with Mexican L'manberg included, etc, to boil down to something akin to a power imbalance when the truth is more complicated. I'll save some of this for another post, but a lot of the point of c!Quackity is that he's not really correct in his diagnosis that if he'd had more power, and that if he gets more power, he can fix the things he doesn't like about his life.
I don't think c!Quackity is reacting out of a sense of victimhood so much as he's acting out of a sense of unfairness.
Sidebar over with: yes, I think it's really clear that c!Quackity likes how powerful he feels when he hurts c!Dream, and yes, I think this would remain the obvious motivation for a sexual element to any torture.
I disagree pretty sharply with you that he'd feel he lost his excuse though. Quackity is fine admitting to Dream that he's torturing him because he likes it. That's quite a significant element to his arc in the prison: that he is willing to admit sadism qua sadism, and that he feels empowered by this.
If Quackity feels guilt, insofar as he doesn't want the broader truth of what he's done admitted to the whole server, then I agree with you that it has more to do with the idea of the propriety of his actions and his awareness that he's blown past a bunch of norms than whether or not he enjoyed them or thinks Dream deserved them.

Spoon
C!Quackity is that one person who always wants to be the big spoon despite being smaller then 90% of his partners.
Schlatt found it cute. He would let Quackity curl protectively around him spreading his wings over their bodies. Schlatt used to be really, really careful with his wings, he knew how much they meant to Quackity, how much it took for him to show to Schlatt. Schlatt would kiss each feather being so gentle. He made Quackity, for first time he could remember feel safe. When he was sober anyway. But Quackity could handle one or two bad nights or three or four or a bad week for the way Schlatt was so careful, scared to even roll over and crush Quackity’s wings.
Quackity didn’t let his wings out around Karl and Sapnap. They where dirty and gross anyway. He did stay as the big spoon. Sapnap would curl right up against his chest like his own personal heater and Karl’s gangly limbs would somehow find their way over, his legs tangling with Sapnap and Quackity’s until there where just one perfect person. Fractured maybe in some places but wonderfully whole.
Now Quackity dosen’t spoon anyone. When he wakes up heart pounding and it’s too early to call Foolish and make an excuse that isn’t the truth a pathetic. “I need to hear some else’s voice.” Or too late to drink himself to sleep again, (Quackity might drink until he’s sick in his personal time but the moment he stumbles into the office hung over he might as well dig himself a grave and blot horns to his head) he calls Wilbur. The bastard picks up every time so fucking smug. Quackity wants to swear at him and hang up. Instead he sends a car over. He wears his wings openly now refusing to be embarrassed by them but Wilbur learns not to touch them. Last time Quackity slapped his hand away hard and threatened to kick him out of bed. Now when Wilbur is gone slipping out before anyone sees Quackity lays alone in a bed built for three and stares at the walls.

UPTIGHT - a c!quackity poem
[text is pasted below. feel free to reblog!]
UPTIGHT
6/11/2022
the kids are arguing outside-
or, well, what once were kids.
it’s wrong to call them grown,
budding-horned and stumbling as they both are,
but they’re neither of them innocent. i see the scars.
the rings that flash on both their fingers are real gold,
not plastic or candy.
the kids are arguing outside-
one towering over the other, both pleading and confused,
both rigid and unmoved.
it’s the kind of argument you have a thousand times, the kind that doesn’t die
unless somebody does.
trouble with the missus? i might ask, after, in some amputated life.
the kids are arguing outside- i know how this ends.
i close the curtain, close my mouth, like it’s clamped.
i pour a glass of brandy. i wait for somebody to die.
