are you open to elaborating on the DC comics thing because I also quit during the new 52 and i wasn't aware they were doing good again

I think it's in big part because DC comics was taken over by women haha. Marie Javins took over as editor-in-chief a couple years ago and it's really starting to show. It seems like most of the garbage of the last ten years+ is being largely ignored at this point (which I know is in part because of Rebirth etc) and they're just MORE FUN AGAIN. I noticed more and more of my friends being hired by them which is a great sign in itself.

I recently picked up the new Fire & Ice series, Birds of Prey, and Blue Beetle and they're all great??? I kept going back and seeing what else is really good and picked up the new Superboy and I probably would have grabbed more if I didn't just miss the first issues. I'M STRAIGHT UP GOING TO ACTUALLY GET ME A PULL GOING AGAIN I DON'T UNDERSTAND.

The only thing I've read in the decade is that Blue & Gold series they did last year which was pretty fun in itself and Tom King's Mister Miracle. I grabbed the trades of Human Target which I had no idea was a JLI story. I just started reading it and holy shit it's so good???

anyway I'll just full on admit that my JLI guys just fucking being themselves again is everything to me. I have bias in that corner.

But if you miss DC I sincerely suggest poking your head in and seeing what's up.

If anybody that wants to add/elaborate more that knows more about what's been going on, please feel free to. I've been a bitter ex trying not to pay attention for so long.
