Zardy and Pumpkin Jack were never really ones for sharing.

Hell, to this day they still have disputes over who gets what side of the corn maze.

But after you came along, respecting the crops and getting to personally know all the creatures who inhabited this place...they found themselves drawn to you.

You were never afraid of them.

In fact, you were willing to stay in the nearby house just so you could see them both more often (finding the key was...a pain, but well worth it).

After a few months, they're both completely smitten over you.

Jack tried beating Zardy to the punch in confessing to you.....but midjump he was blindsided by a flying Cablecrow and had to untangle himself from its wires.

By the time that was done, Zardy was already with you.

Long story short...you ended up falling for them both as you simply couldn't choose, and they surprisingly agree with this.

Being creatures stuffed with hay and straw makes them excellent pillows whenever you're cuddling/hugging them.

And they talk about their past, or the latest stupid thing some trespasser or Brute/Rattler/Cablecrow did, or what they wanted to do for Halloween.

However, something maaay have to be done about Pumpkin Jack's claws if you're gonna cuddle with him alone.

He insists they're for your protection (or if he needs to answer the call of a crawler who was attacked).

Zardy just shakes his head and urges him to move aside so there's room for him, too.

Of course, repairing them becomes a skill you learned rather quickly during your time in the maze.

But after fixing them up, you always leave kisses on the newest patch you've added to their bodies.

Jack just grins and giggles, kicking his feet and everything.

Meanwhile Zardy hides behind his hat, wishing he could go invisible.

Don't get him wrong, though, he loves your affections just the same.

I really love the idea of cablecrow holding onto their s/o while they just, watch the stars. A slow night without any intruders, just enjoying the night ambience

The maze's cornfield moved in rhythm with the wind, which created a silent commotion, that didn't add any discomfort at all. In fact, it was comforting to the environment. The cold almost covered the smell of corn and grass, and at this moment, the only light present to be seen would be from the Moon.

Your arms, in an attempt at affection and seeking more warmth, carefully tighten themselves tighter around the neck of the scarecrow that was holding you oh-so delicately. In return, the spring of Cablecrow's arm, which wrapped around your stomach to your hip, tightened around your form.

Your relaxed eyes observed the bright spots in the dark sky, occasionally a small cloud passed by at one time or another, but there was always another star to admire in another corner of the sky. It's almost as if stars were made just for moments like this.

You let out a sigh, not from tiredness, closer to a sigh of relief, happiness perhaps. You almost can't believe that you were so relaxed in a place far from the ground, and even more so in the maze that always terrified you... You also forgot that you were hugging the scarecrow that tried to kill you once. Well, I guess love wins.

Despite the cold temperature, and your nose already blushing from it, a smile tugs at the corner of your lips. Your pupils move to the corner of your eye just for a moment, just for you to notice a familiar face staring back at you.

"What?" You asked in curiosity.

Cablecrow, on the other hand, laughed. "Nothin', just enjoying a better view."

You scoff, not sure if you were blushing from the cold, embarassment, or just the unexpected cliche flirt. "Ugh... Yeah, sure." You snuggled against Cablecrow, and the scarecrow accepted the gesture. If he could, he would be holding you with both arms, if the other one wasn't busy holding on to the pole.

On the way to this specific pole, you ended up forgetting the current time, but for the sun to completely disappear from view, you could already assume that it was late, and that was already making an effect on you. The warmth of the moment led you to release a yawn, which caught Cablecrow's attention almost immediately.

"Already?" He questioned, looking towards you almost disappointed.

"What do you mean "Already"? We've been here for a long time for now..." Your voice was almost muffled.

Cablecrow, somehow, sighed, but this wasn't the time to question your partner's insides. Deep down, he wanted this to last longer, but he knows the responsibilities of having a being like you as a romantic partner. Cablecrow has already prepared to withdraw and go from post to post to your home.

"Sure thing then."
