Every Actress I Have Ever Imagined Playing Riza Hawkeye
Scarlett Johansson (it’d be hard for me to see her as another iconic badass woman post-Nat but hot dang do those characters have some similarities
Carey Mulligan
Saiorse Ronan (younger Saiorse would have been my DREAM Winry but she’s starting to edge into Riza territory)
also maybe Florence Pugh (I thought she’d need a couple more years but cue all the commenters telling me they’re the SAME AGE o o p s)
Anna Torv (even though I haven’t watched Fringe)
Rosamund Pike circa Pride and Prejudice
Elizabeth Mitchell circa LOST
Claire Danes circa… earlier Homeland?
Jodie Foster circa Silence of the Lambs
Elizabeth Moss (can you imagine. The PERFECTION)
would 100% support Zendaya even if she doesn’t look exactly like her
For a musical version Caissie Levy or Brittain Ashford would be insanely dope but mostly I just wanna play her so badly guysssss
meanwhile I can’t think of any actors who are currently perfect for Roy (Daniel Henney or Ben Barnes would be fabulous if you aged them down 5-10 years or so) but I can think of at least two ideal genderbends (Michelle Dockery or Laura Donnelly no I don’t care that they’re British)

Two FCs question for you! Grace or Collette? Sara Bareilles or Sarah O’Conner? Alicia or Hazel? Caissie Levy or Charissa Hogeland? Patti Murin or Lauren Nicole Chapman? Stapleton, Mack, Bowman, or Monsma? Drew Gehling or Jeremy Jordan? Lauren Zakrin or Shoba Narayan? Kennedy Caughell or Caroline Innerbichler? Amber Gray or Afra Hines? Celeste Rose or Cait Fairbanks? Laura Bell Bundy or Becky Gulsvig? Vicki Manser or Jennifer Caldwell? John Oliver or Stephen Colbert? Jodie Steele or Lucie Jones?
SEND ME TWO FACECLAIMS AND I’D TELL YOU WHICH ONE I’D RATHER USE.
GRACE MOUAT OR COLLETTE GUITART?
Grace, all day every day ! I’ve made some rp icons for her, and I plan on giffing her very soon ! She’s so cute.
SARA BAREILLES OR SARAH O’CONNOR?
O’Connor, but I’d totally use Bareilles too, and plan on giffing her in some stuff !
ALICIA CORRALES-CONNOR OR HAZEL KAROOMA-BROOKER?
Alicia is one of those theatre actresses where you cannot convince me than the rpc wouldn’t be all over them if they popped up in something a little more accessible/broadly seen. I’d be falling over gif packs of her. I’m inclined to agree, but Hazel is super cute too.
CAISSIE LEVY OR CHARISSA HOGELAND?
Charissa !
PATTI MURIN OR LAUREN NICOLE CHAPMAN?
Lauren ! We as a society have surpassed the need to put Patti Murin in my face.
COURTNEY STAPLETON, COURTNEY BOWMAN, COURTNEY MACK, OR COURTNEY MONSMA?
Bowman, all the way. I wish there was something I could gif her in, tbh. She’s so gorgeous, and absolutely hilarious. 10/10 would use Stapes, too. Again, have stuff to gif of her.
DREW GEHLING OR JEREMY JORDAN?
Jeremy ! I do already use him ! For my sweet son, Milo.
LAUREN ZAKRIN OR SHOBA NARAYAN?
Shoba !!! I loooove her, I’ve wanted to use her for ages now.
KENNEDY CAUGHELL OR CAROLINE INNERBICHLER?
Caroline is as cute as a button, I shall go with her !
AMBER GREY OR AFRA HINES?
Afra !
CELESTE ROSE OR CAIT FAIRBANKS?
Celeste !!
LAURA BELL BUNDY OR BECKY GULSVIG?
Becky. We do not support racism in this house, we do not Need LBB as a society.
VICKI MANSER OR JEN CALDWELL?
Vicki ! I’ve had this urge to play her and Georgia Tennant as sisters for well over a year now.
JOHN OLIVER OR STEPHEN COLBERT?
Why are you like this, ma’am ?
JODIE STEELE OR LUCIE JONES?
Rude. But Miss Lucie ! I have three separate things lined up to gif for her, and I love her very much. I could do with a lot with her face, I think. Technically I do have an OC with Jodie’s face, but I’ve never actually actively played her.

Emily Bett Rickards 'interview for Euphoria Magazine [X] Confession: When I first saw Felicity Smoak on Arrow back in , I was not a fan of her character. All I could think was "What is this little tech geek doing on a superhero show? What is up with those dork glasses? Why is she so awkward?" Looking back I realize I had been so conditioned to see strong, female characters only as the stereotypical action girl who ca, box with the guys. As I've gotten older, I have realized that not only do I actually adore Felicity, I relate to her as well. I am not tech savvy, nor am I good with computers, but I am a very flawed individual. Felicity Smoak portrays the reality of how a woman can be feminine and kind, but still selfish, stubborn and frustating. In other words, human. Which brings us to Emily Bett Rickards, the fiercely talented actress who brings this character to life. Like myself, Emily does not share Felicity's talent with computers. What she does have, however, is a quiet intelligence and warm sense of humor that imbues everything she says with urgency, forcing the listener to quiet their mind to take in what she has to say. Emily takes long pauses before delivering each response ... except when it comes to her television crush. That one she knew right off the bat. And no, it is not Oliver Queen. You've kind of become a geek girl icon with all the crossovers between The Flash, Arrow and Supergirl as well as your work narrating the Mortal Instruments audio books. Are you a fantasy comic book fan in real life? I haven't been in the comic book world from the time I was a kid but I love to read so I have always been a Harry Potter and an Eragon nerd. I also read Ender's Game and all those books. I was always into novels, I absolutely will be interested in any sort of storytelling. Felicity is the moral center and beating heart of the Arrowverse in many ways. How do you think she hs held onto that hopefulness after everything she has been through? I'm always very proud of her and shocked by the ability to move on from the things she has experienced. She has been able to go forward and heal from some of the darker things she has endured. She's inspiring to me in that sense that she is able to keep moving and keep bettering herself. She is so strong, I really look up to her for that. Do you think she has sort of lost some of that hope after Oliver's decision that has caused her so much isolation recently? I think she has been burned a couple too many times. She wants to fight back and be able to protect herself and the world around her instead of just relying on others. Would you say you are more like Felicity in real life? If Emily Bett Rickards were in this universe, what would her role be? We have helped each other grow over time. We have been together for seven years! There are things that bleed in and bleed out into our lives. Our environments are completely different, but she has taught me a lot. You know, I'm not leading an undercover life.. But I wouldn't tell you if I was! She has a very strong, moral code. Her voice of justice is the same and she holds very high expectations for herself. A villain would be fun to play, but I don't think I would really want to be one. If I were in that world, I think I would be more in an actionny kind of role. I am a lot more physically active than Felicity, though I'm not very coordinated. I also don't have her technical ability in terms of hacking. Her skills are really not my skills. Your characters on Arrow and Funny Story are deeply feminist in that they are flawed, fleshed out characters and not just "the girlfriend" or "damsel" that we often see in media. How much inpul do you get on your characters in these projects? In the past have you had to act as a character that didn't feel quite as real? When choosing a project, the connection to the character, for me, happens before I ever even act as the character. I have gotten to play, and choose characters that I am interested in, and who I find three dimensional. It's constant work, and these characters are hard to find and that's why we hopefully get to work with very wonderful groups of artists and sort of flesh out these people. But that is how I go about choosing the characters who I play. Which do you prefer- comedy, drama or action? I love comedy! I find it very smart and usually very current. That is definitely what I gear towards. There is such a wonderful truth in comedy that is grounded in our realities and very relatable. So, that is definitely what I am drawn towards. Also, anything that has weel rounded characters who aren't perfect. That is what life is, I'm not interested in perfect characters, because I don't think that really exists. What draws you to certain roles? Is there something particular that you look for? Complexity, authenticity, truthfulness, just anything that is written with complete honesty and without ego. Something written with a humane lense to the world. That is what I tend to be attracted to. Who is one female comic character who you would love to hangout with? My friend Caissie [Levy]'s on Broadway in Frozen so I do kind of get to hangout with her. What is your favorite ship name? I was going to say my best friend's ship name but I probably shouldn't share that. I mean Olicity is obviously the best one out there! Who do you ship yourself with? Are you watching The Godd Place? There is a guy called Jason on there and he is incredibly hilarious. Sense of humor is a requirement. The character is Jason Mendoza, his real name is Manny. I have never met him but he is a fucking genius on that show. Such a phenomenal actor and the show is hilarious.

It has just been reported that Pretty Woman and Les Miserables star, Samantha Barks, is set to lead the West End transfer of Disney's Frozen.
Barks joins a line of notable ladies the iconic role of Elsa, the snow queen of Arendelle, originated by Idina Menzel in the film and later reimagined by Caissie Levy in the Broadway production.
The UK production team will meet again in late January to hold final auditions for the co-starring role of Elsa's sister, Anna.
Barks recently completed a run as Vivian in the Broadway adaptation of the classic comedy, Pretty Woman. She garnered rave reviews and acclaim for her performance as Éponine in Universal's film adaptation of Les Misérables, directed by Tom Hooperstarring alongside Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Eddie Redmayne, Amanda Seyfried, and Anne Hathaway.
She received the Breakout Award at Glamour Magazine's Women of the Year Awards, Best Female Newcomer by the Empire Awards, the Spotlight Award from the Hollywood Film Festival, and was nominated for Young British Performer of the Year by the London Critics Circle.
In 2008, Barks competed in the UK television program "I'd Do Anything" in which she was one of the finalists in a search for a new, unknown lead to play Nancy in a West End revival of Oliver!. Barks' career on the West End includes starring in The Donmar Warehouse's production of City of Angels, Honeymoon in Vegas, Oliver!, The Last Five Years and Les Misérables. Other theater credits include Velma in the Los Angeles Philharmonic's production of Chicago at The Hollywood Bowl, and her critically acclaimed performance of the title role in the world premiere of Amelie at Berkley Rep. Barks' film credits include The Christmas Candle, Bitter Harvest, The Revenger and Interlude in Prague.
The production will reopen the newly refurbished Theatre Royal Drury Lane, with previews commencing in October 2020. With music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, and book by Jennifer Lee, Frozen - directed by Michael Grandage - opens for priority booking late January 2020, with general on sale on 6 March 2020. Groups and schools booking opens on 24 February 2020.
Audiences are invited to learn more aboutFrozen the Musical, and to sign up for priority booking by 12 January 2020 atFrozenTheMusical.co.uk
Frozen, a full-length stage work told in two acts, is the first and only incarnation of the tale that expands upon and deepens its indelible plot and themes through new songs and story material from the film's creators. Like the Disney Theatrical Broadway musicals that have come before it, it is a full evening of theatre and is expected to run two and a half hours.
Based on the 2013 film written by a trio of Oscar winners, Frozen features music and lyrics by the creators of the film score Kristen Anderson-Lopez (Up Here, Winnie the Pooh, In Transit) and EGOT-winner Robert Lopez (Avenue Q, The Book of Mormon, Up Here) and a book by Jennifer Lee (Zootopia, Wreck-It Ralph), the film's screenwriter and director (with Chris Buck). Frozen won 2014 Oscars for Best Song ("Let It Go") and Best Animated Feature.
Frozen's director is Michael Grandage, a Tony Award winner (Red) and director of three Olivier Award-winning Outstanding Musicals (Merrily We Roll Along, Grand Hotel and Guys and Dolls), and Rob Ashford, Tony Award winner (Thoroughly Modern Millie) and multiple Tony and Olivier Award nominee, is choreographer.

Okay so a few months ago we managed to snag tickets for Frozen on Broadway on a black friday sale, which was the only way we could afford them tbh. We picked Valentine's Day for our showing, and managed to get seats that were really good. Pretty much dead center, mezzanine just a few row backs, far enough away to see everything, close enough to see all the details on the costumes and sets as well as facial expressions on the actors. (who were without exception all fantastic) An unexpected side effect of those seats was that it always felt like the cast was looking directly at us.
Listening to the soundtrack the past year did absolutely nothing to prepare me for hearing and seeing it live. Nor did pictures they've released really showcase the costumes. Elsa's iconic dress, for example, always looked kind of dull to me in pictures, but in movement, under the lights with everything sparkling and shining, it was beautiful. (same with her pants, they look amazing in person)
I used to live in Las Vegas, so I've seen a few shows (though nothing really recent). Mystere, Ka(comped tickets), Zumanity, The Producers with Tony Danza(also comped tickets), Phantom, Blue Man Group(father in law gift), Crazy Horse Paris(was sort of a v-day tradition for awhile, very classy burlesque ;)).
The closest ones in production value would have to be Phantom and the cirque shows. I mean Phantom literally drops the chandelier onto the audience, you can't really beat that, except for maybe Ka’s vertically rotating stage.
But this was my first Broadway show and in a lot of ways it was better. The acoustics in the theater were perfect, and like Phantom (And the cirque shows) they make the audience a part of the show. (Oaken's scenes, for example, he says we're the people in the ceiling, and as Elsa's fear and anxiety grow, the ice starts extending into the audience and outside the stage on the walls and ceilings, and then there's the fact 1/4th the audience gets covered in 'snow' (confetti) at one point)
The clever use of both the stage and lighting were fun to watch(the lighting alone should have won them technical awards). The whole thing was fun to watch. The cast really, really seemed to be having fun and enjoying themselves. Like without exception they were just so into it, and you could tell as they sang. And like you can tell just how much caissie levy enjoys singing let it go, she starts grinning like half way through and doesn't stop until the lights go out and the song ends
(Also the theater was packed and the audience was really energetic which I loved)
Caissie's Elsa and Jelani's Kristoff were probably my favorites vocal-wise, but Patti's Anna was adorkably awkward and constantly horny on main both of which felt appropriate. Oaken was awesome. Their weaselton was a really good asshole, and changing the trolls to a kind of non human fae type people was also... really good. They were creepy but in a princess mononoke type way which I liked.
And the kids they had for young elsa and anna were really, really good actors and also seemed to be having fun. And there were unexpected call backs and foreshadowing with them. I did not expect to see little anna show up during true love okay i'm suing for my heart.
The narrative choices they made, in terms of sequence of events and other seemingly small things were both interesting and welcome.
There was what appeared to be a throw-away line when kristoff's 'mom' talks to Iduna. She says Iduna is from a northern hill people and married up and the implication I picked up from that was that elsa and anna's ancestry may not be entirely human. At least, not entirely non-magical human.
Which has some relevance to theories about Frozen 2 and Elsa searching for answers about her powers and family, now doesn't it.

In no order, I present you 13 theatrical moments and shows I loved this year in 2018.
01. Bernadette Peters as Dolly Levi || Hello Dolly - Her entire performance was incredible but I will never forget her Before the Parade Passes By, So Long Dearie, and the scene in front of Ephram’s shop. There is a reason Bernadette is a theatrical legend and her Dolly only further proved that.
02. The entirety of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child || I don’t think words can properly sum up the true magic of this piece. Truly that’s what this production is - it’s magic, actual magic. The thing that truly makes it extraordinary is how despite all of that fantastic magic there’s incredible performances by Jamie Parker, Anthony Boyle, Sam Clemmett, Alex Price, and the entire company that ground the production in the reality of the relationship between fathers and sons.
03. The Play That Goes Wrong || Truly one of the funniest shows I’ve ever seen with such a fantastic ensemble actors who truly make the chaos of the show just so hilarious.
04. Head Over Heels || With a score full of Go Go’s hits and with so much heart, this show was such a joy. There was LGTBQ representation and getting to see Bonnie Milligan belt her face off and have a plot that doesn’t involve her size was truly refreshing. The cast album has been one of my favorites since it came out and it is very sad to see such a joyful show close.
05. The Waitress National Tour || There was truly something special in the pie that the tour cast of Waitress baked. Led by the actual queen of kindness and goodness Desi Oakley, the entire company was delightful with a cherry on top.
06. Closing a chapter with the Munchkinland tour of Wicked || I spent a fair amount of 2017 seeing the Wicked tour and this year marked a closing of that chapter. I took one final trip to Munchkinland in Pittsburgh and somehow managed to see every single green girl the company had to offer along with such a wonderful group of citizens of Munchkinland. I will forever cherish the times I spent with the Munchkinland tour and can’t wait to be reunited somewhere down the yellow brick road.
07. Frozen || Ever since they had announced that Frozen would be coming to Broadway, I was so excited for it and it truly didn’t disappoint. With new songs added to the score of the movie, the musical aimed to deepen the relationships of the characters and did just that. Played to perky perfection by Patti Murin, we got to see more into Anna’s heart and soul with the beautiful “True Love” and slaying us with her icy fierceness and belt Caissie Levy took Elsa to new levels with “Monster”. Add into the mix - the fantastic Jelani Aladdin as Kristoff, the princely snake charmer known as John Riddle, and loveable fool Greg Hildreth, Frozen gave thawed the hearts of its audience and left you wanting to do anything but let it go.
08. Carousel || Carousel has always been a polarizing piece and perhaps even moreso in our current time of #MeToo. While this production wasn’t perfect, it brought to the stage beautiful moments like getting to hear Jessie Mueller and Josh Henry capture Julie and Billy’s quick spark and attraction with tne iconic “If I Loved You”. Getting to hear Josh Henry tear up “Soliquoy” will forever be one of the single most incredible moments I’ve been able to witness on stage. The score of Carousel has always been a favorite of mine and with Jessie, Josh, the charming Lindsay Mendez as the scene stealing and Tony winning Carrie Pipperidge, and the incredible Renee Fleming there was magic in every note. With Tony worthy choreography by Justin Peck, this Carousel took my heart for a spin this year.
09. The Boys In The Band || With names like Jim Parsons, Zachary Quinto, Matt Bomer, and Andrew Rannells rounding out an ensemble there was bound to be some real star power on the stage. This ensemble piece about a group of gay men coming together for one of their own’s birthday and being unapologetically real about the gay experience and the lives of gay men at the time was equal parts hilarious and heartbreaking. Despite being set in the late 60’s, many of the themes felt just as prevalent now as they did then.
10. Once at the Arden Theater in Philadelphia, PA || This year, I made a silent promise to myself to see more regional work in my own backyard. I caught three productions at the Walnut Street Theatre (Mamma Mia, Holiday Inn, and Matilda) but this gem of a production of Once at the Arden sticks out from the pack. Taking Once and putting it in the round is something I wasn’t something I knew I needed until seeing it done at the Arden. The way the actors truly surrounded you with song and brought the audience into their world was mesmerizing and heightened the emotion of things.
11. Spongebob Squarepants || Yes, I’m aware Spongebob opened in 2017, but I spent many wonderful Best Days Ever soaked in the Bikini Bottom sun this year. The fact this imaginative and charming show is closed continues to break my heart but I’m so grateful to have been able to bask in the glory of it. I will forever be in awe of what Tina Landau created and how Ethan Slater and the entire company captured the nautical nonsense of it all with so much heart. I can’t wait to revisit Bikini Bottom when the tour happens this year.
12. Mean Girls || Me? Talk about Mean Girls? Never. This show took a lot of my attention this year. This show is based on one of my favorite movies and getting the chance to see it in DC pre-Broadway in 2017 was great but getting to live as it opened on Broadway was - a massive deal. This show with its pop score and full on slayage continues to be such a blast to see. From the minute we’re taken on the ride of Cady’s story by Damian and Janis, we’re hooked. The Plastics are goddesses and we’re there to worship them as they belt, slay, and watch the world burn. I love this show with my whole heart and I refuse to apologize for it, because one should never apologize for being a boss.
13. The Prom || This show completely took me by surprise and the way it blends such an important issue like being able to take the person you like to a dance with Broadway types is hilarious and on my brand. With a score that blends the world of Broadway with the pop style of the kids from the small town Indiana, this show has heart in glittering spades. Brooks Ashmankas is giving the performance of his career and Beth Leavel continues to prove she’s an absolute theatrical queen as one self absorbed Broadway diva. Caitlin Kinnunen is the heart of the story as Emma, the girl at the center of the issue of taking the girl she likes to prom, and she’s giving one of my favorite performances this year. This show represents and serves up heart and humor.
Honorable shout outs: Christy Altomare for continuing to be a light and star in Anastasia, Zach Adkins for becoming a leading man and taking on Dmitry with so much heart and making me so proud. The tour of Book of Mormon, the tour of Aladdin, the tour of Fiddler On the Roof, and the tour of Anastasia among others.

We were watching the Tony's and my mom commented on hearing a different singer as Elsa being really weird (cause she's only seen the movie) and I was like "yeah idina Menzel has such an iconic voice already its hard to hear someone else sing the role" and my mom says "well, idina Menzel couldn't play Elsa on stage, she doesn't have the hair for it" and i. I just can not get over the implication that wigs don't exist and caissie levy's hair just Does That
