Call of Duty has had so many chances to create something really unique and original and just,,, not. Like, Vanguard was a WWII game and they wanted to keep the gunsmith and MW style killstreaks, and instead of leaning into it and going full alternate history dieselpunk they just,,, made a shitty generic ww2 game?
Cold War's campaign was a genuinely interesting and unique spy thriller. I would have watched it as a movie. Since playing it I've noticed the distinct lack of first person spy thriller games. Like can you imagine an open world spy game set in Cold War Berlin?? If it wasn't CoD this game would have set off so many copycats! But did they do anything with that concept elsewhere, say, co-op infiltration multiplayer, stealth based game modes, etc? Nope! Just the same multiplayer sandbox every CoD game has had since the Modern Warfare reboot, and the campaign was written off by the gaming world at large because it was CoD and the part that people actually care about stayed exactly the same.
It's so disheartening that this franchise with so much money and so many incredible programmers and writers (yes writers Advanced Warfare, Infinite Warfare, and every Black Ops game have all had stories that can go toe to toe with the likes of Arkane, Obsidian, Naughty Dog, etc) behind it is too afraid to take any kind of risk or make anything that's memorable in favor of the safe option of yearly iterations of the same thing.

Hii! So I’m new in the Call of Duty fandom but I don’t play the games like on the ps5, etc… I only play Call of Duty on my phone and I got addicted and began digging deeper so here I am! Since I don’t/can’t play the different games of cod do you recommend any channels on youtube that does an amazing walkthrough of the games? I really really want to watch some walkthroughs but I don’t know whats the order of watching each game?? Does each game connect to each other? I’m still kind of confused since I’m still new😅😅. I’m sorry to disturb you though but I hope you can help me😭
To summarise before I go on a useless tangent and ramble needlessly, here are short answers for your questions:
Yes, the games are related. Modern Warfare 1+2+3 are chronological, and are the same story with the same characters. Similarly, it is widely believed that the Black Ops series + Cold War take place in the same timeline as Modern Warfare. I know for certain that Cold War is connected to MWI+II+III because Captain Price is a playable character in multiplayer, and the Black Ops series mention the same villains.
There is no particular chronological order in terms of a greater narrative, however, if you want to understand the story of Modern Warfare, watch walkthroughs of MWI, MWII, and finally MWIII. Black Ops has its own series so if you want to watch those too, you can, however you won't be missing major plot points in Modern Warfare if you choose not to. Cold War is in the same timeline as Modern Warfare, but you won't be missing major plot points in Modern Warfare either if you choose not to.
My advice: Watch game walkthroughs (I would recommend at least once, even in 2x speed, just so you know the general gist of the lore).
Watch COD compilations (trust me, there's LOADS) that are 10–20 mins long, and feature the most iconic scenes in the game back-to-back so you aren't missing anything
Dont resd this if you dont want to!!!vvv it's long and its just me sympathising with you becsude im in the same situation 💀💀... Vvvvvvv
... LMAO IM THE WORWT PERWON TO ASK BECUASE I CANT PLAY THE GAMES EITHER DJDJDJDJDJSJSJSJSJJSJS 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Played MW and MWII, theold versions only💔And i DONT hsve a PS5 EITHER so i csnt play the remasyers/reimagines, neithet can my parents justify buying the games just to hage a 100gb game on our PS4😫😫 were in this together anon,... 😓
I mostly have been going on youtube and tyoing out "MW 2019 walkthrough" and "MW2 2022 walkthrough" to see wheyher the plot has chsnged so i can keep up to daye and understand whay the fandom is on about !! Since ive plaued the older remasters , i watch these in like 1.75 speed or even just skip parts bc i already kniw what's gonna haooen mostly 😙✌️ but any scenes that im like "WOAH wtf is this i dint rmeebrt this happening🤨" I watch them 10–20min compilations of certain charwcyer moments 😌 Because i honestlu do NOT hsve the time to watch a whole ass 9–12h video in multiple sittings, i have homework and studyijg to be doing‼️‼️
And fir my headcannond/fanfictions , "[insert character here] voicelines" so i can understand the characyer thru their voicelines (like König and Krueger), as well as seeing their skins and backstories on theit respevtive wikis, googling their respectivr countries, ajd builfing my vision of these by also reading OTHER people's headcannons/fanfictions !! If you were to resd my oldest works, youd see thay my König was the fanon König, but as ivr gotten more used to writing him and changing my perception of his character+personality, you can tell how how i write for him has slowly developed 🙌
i feel like a hypocritetelling u to watch MWIII tho because neitjer have i plaued it NOR watched a walkthru bc my fav characters DIE and i dont wanna put myself thru that just yet😇 obviously, with MWIII remaster here, i think ill hage to soon ....
Im honoufed u chode yo ask ME of sll people !!☺️❤️❤️❤️... So im sorfy i couldnt be more useful ☹️💔💔💔

//I know CoD can get written off a lot, but with the new universe I actually have a lot of theories and such on how things are done and how things crossover. I'm already putting together a small timeline of this Universe and how the games go. I'll put all of it under a read more if interested.
So the New Timeline I've figured out for main story goes CoD WWII, CoD World at War, CoD Vanguard, CoD Black Ops, CoD Black Ops Cold War, The Rumored Black Ops Gulf War, Modern Warfare (2019), Modern Warfare II (2022), and Modern Warfare III (2023).
The Dark Aether storyline in Vanguard already confirmed that there is some Overlap with the Chaos Storyline that was started in the beginning of Black Ops 4 before shifting to the Aether Saga once again where the Heroes end up nuking the already established Multiverse with a Singularity. I also think though its not confirmed, that also included things from other untethered Call of Duty games and previous Modern Warfares leading to the one 'Perfect' world. Or so those Zombie Heroes though, leading into the Dark Aether Storyline.
Now the Zombies and the Ghost Ship during Warzone around Black Ops Cold War Season 2, effectively taking place in the Modern Warfare timeframe. The ship leaving Rebirth Island back in the 80s to lose itself in a storm after some of the Nova Six gas gets out only to arrive around 2021, we can see that a lot of rust set in. A ship like that doesn't just get lost for decades without someone finding it so I think it must of gotten tugged into a Dark Aether breach, spending an untold amount of time there because we find a strange computer onboard the ship. Now reason why I mention the Dark Aether here and breaches is for two reasons: during Season Three Cold War a nuke gets detonated in Kravchenko's old facility on Mount Yamantau which we learn borders Kastova in this universe, and an intel you can recover from one of the factions that mention the dimensional fabric was damaged cause of a nuke that was detonated by a rogue faction called Perseus ((perpetrators being Wraith and Knight, two Operatives from that faction)) and around that time there was a storm off the coast, roughly around where the Gulag is.
Now how is Verdansk still standing after a nuke was dropped on it? Good question, considering everything I think this could end up being a retcon but a couple things stand out to me on how they could do it. Mauer Der Toten mentioned using a Nuclear Device to neutralize a Quarantine Zone in the middle of East and West Berlin, but we also were introduced to a Nuclear Bomb in Cold War that only targeted humanoids rather than leveling buildings and infrastructure. Could be that one of those types of nukes was dropped effectively sterilizing the infection while leaving the buildings intact for the most part, the fallout ending up being next to nothing because it canceled out both the gas an Aetherium in the air.
Now someone could ask, is it possible they could just strike it out of canon? Its entirely possible, if they didn't add that little detail into canon bio for Roze a Multiplayer Operator in Modern Warfare II specifically mentioning 'The Fall of Verdansk'.
Then we get to Vanguard, specifically when we hit the Warzone series on Caldera. It got slowly nutty when they introduced Attack on Titan things into Vanguard and I could kinda see and get it, then it got extremely batshit around Season Three when Kong and Godzilla were introduced onto Caldera, then the Terminator in Season Four, and then the return of Raul Menendez from Black Ops 2, Seraph from Black Ops 4, Gabriel Rorke from CoD Ghosts and Al-Asad. Al-Asad after Modern Warfare (2019) just drops off the radar and we don't hear from him but then in comes the other three and some could write it off as non-canon events there, but I'm starting to think Caldera was like something out of Twin Peaks, where it could of been an anomaly, where remnants of forgotten worlds found themselves after somehow finding a way out of the Dark Aether because the Perk Machines weren't something that was just made for the Dark Aether storyline, they were found and fixed up and brought into this new timeline, much like the Wunderwaffe DG-2 in Shi No Numa in Vanguard, now we see weapons like the EM1 from Advanced Warfare too. There are elements from previous timelines that get trickled into this new timeline and I think we're starting to see it slightly with the introduction of the Black Cell shadow faction because the operator 'Arthur' is straight up wearing a modified FTL Rig from Infinite Warfare.
That's not even getting to some of the leaks I've heard of content and things coming to Modern Warfare III, apparently around Season Three we could be seeing the return of the Atlas Corporation from Advanced Warfare, and I think with some of the cosmetics and gear we've seen in the shop during Modern Warfare II can set it up, some of them wearing Exo-Suits of similar design of the Atlas Corporation. Cause we have seen some call back to certain cosmetics that drop that come back later in the Warzone storyline part of Call of Duty: The Cultist looking skins for Ghost, Horangi, and Konig ended up being a shadow faction that unleashed Hellish forces in Al Mazrah and Vondel.

The Day Before Gameplay Looks Eerily Similar to a CoD Zombies Trailer
Tumblr media
The Day Before, an upcoming zombie game and shooter, recently released its long-promised and highly anticipated gameplay. However, since The Day Before's release date has been postponed until later this year, online communities have noticed that some of the footage eerily resembles Call of Duty Zombies trailers. Developer Fntastic released some The Day Before gameplay recently, and it’s been noted that quite a few of the cinematic shots from the footage look very similar to a Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War – Zombies reveal trailer. The Day Before gameplay opens with a few quick cinematic shots: one hovers the camera above some grates, another sees someone with a gun bathed in red light, and the third shows a first-person perspective in a dark room with another character going through a doorway. Shots very reminiscent of these can be seen in the Call of Duty Zombies trailer too, with even the camera movements being almost identical. The Day Before footage was released this week, while the Call of Duty trailer premiered in September 2020. Below are images comparing the two; we put The Day Before at the top, and Call of Duty underneath. The Day Before gameplay looks eerily similar to a CoD Zombies trailer The Day Before gameplay looks eerily similar to a CoD Zombies trailer The Day Before gameplay looks eerily similar to a CoD Zombies trailer The rest of The Day Before’s ten-minute trailer is the “raw gameplay footage” promised by Fntastic, which features a lot of jogging around a desolate cityscape, finding resources, and avoiding the undead. This is not the same as seeing ‘clones’ of major franchises like Tencent’s game accused of being very similar to World of Warcraft, as in this case, it comes down to using similar cinematography for the original The Day Before footage, but it is striking when multiple examples look almost identical to those found in another individual trailer. You can see some more comparisons from Twitter user Chroma, who found the examples we’ve mentioned above. You can find The Day Before gameplay trailer here, and the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies trailer here as well. With 2023 underway, you can check out our list of the best upcoming games coming throughout this year, or the best multiplayer games and best horror games if you want something like The Day Before. The top mobile games of all time in terms of downloads
There are a few games that have grown popular when it comes to mobile gaming. Fruit Ninja, Subway Surfers, and Candy Crush Saga are a few of these games. On Android and iOS devices, one game has managed to get the most downloads. Free Fire in Garena
Garena Free Fire is the most downloaded smartphone game worldwide. The Google Play Store's most popular game is this one as well.
A battle royale game is called Free Fire. The objective is for players to remain standing. Both iOS and Android are compatible with it. With up to three people, you may play.
In January and December 2020, Garena Free Fire was the most downloaded smartphone game globally, according to Sensor Tower. The game had over 19 million installations in the previous month. Rocket League Sideswipe was the mobile game with the second-highest number of downloads worldwide.
With more than 500 million downloads, Garena has ranked in the top 10 in terms of income for the game. Global sales of Free Fire reached $1 billion as of November 2019. The saga of Candy Crush
Candy Crush Saga is one of the all-time top mobile games in terms of downloads. To clear the board, players must match three pieces of the same colour, and the game is free to play.
The game has had over 2.73 billion downloads as of November 2017. This year, that figure is projected to rise by 20%.
Even though Candy Crush is one of the most well-known mobile games, others surpassed a billion downloads. Since the game's debut in 2012, it has been a hit.
For years, Candy Crush has been a popular smartphone game. Millions of people now use it, and it has spread worldwide. Its most recent version enhanced the game with new levels, gameplay, and aesthetics. Candy Crush presents players with a genuine challenge in contrast to its predecessors, which were simple match-style puzzles. Train Riders
Subway Surfers is still the most downloaded smartphone game ever, despite being published ten years ago. Players in this well-liked endless runner game navigate obstacles and sprint along an unending subway track while collecting money.
The look of the game is odd yet intriguing. The game was created by SYBO Games and Kiloo and is accessible on iOS and Android.
It is a racing game with cartoonish graphics. Players must navigate a network of railroad lines using various touchscreen devices to dodge approaching trains. Power-ups are tools you may utilize to navigate the course more quickly and smoothly. Orange Ninja
Fruit Ninja is one of the most popular games downloaded from the App Store. The game has a sizable fan following with around two million daily players. The game has grown to be one of the most well-known mobile games ever because of its popularity.
This game is free to download on Android, iOS, and Windows, but the creators also provide in-app purchases to help fund the project. You may play against the computer or other players if you need more money to purchase in-game cash.
The leaderboards and accomplishments in Fruit Ninja are an excellent illustration of its creativity. Players may earn rare swords and dojos. Black Ops Cold War, a Call of Duty game

The game has a variety of objectives. The same company that worked on the last Call of Duty game, Raven Software, created the campaign mode. If you want to play with others, you may skip the zombies.
Even while Black Ops Cold War was a huge hit, it fell short of previous games in terms of quality. But it was still entertaining and offered a lot of benefits. Valor Arena
TiMi Studios, a Chinese gaming behemoth Tencent division, created MOBA or multiplayer online battle arena, game Arena of Valor. It was first launched in China in 2016, but later that year, it became available in the West.
The primary objective of the game is to beat opponents to get points. Real-time purchases by players are possible for things like attack bonuses and armour. The traits of each character vary, including those of magicians, sharpshooters, assassins, and tanks. In addition, the soccer mode in Arena of Valor employs five-versus-five competitive combat with two towers on each side.
Arena of Valor offers a variety of other entertaining activities. Players may personalize their load-outs before joining forces with players from all across the globe. They may also purchase extras.

Warzone 2 ranked mode is exactly what the game needs
Warzone 2 ranked mode is exactly what the gameneeds
Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is a much different beast than its predecessor, and in many ways, has split the community at large. That’s due to a number of controversial design choices. However, many players seem to agree that Warzone 2.0 needs a Ranked mode, much like previous Call of Duty multiplayer counterparts like Black Ops Cold War, Vanguard, and soon-to-be Modern Warfare II. Ranked mode…
