By fisheye lens thing do you mean the dolly zoom? That’s where the camera’s lens zooms in while the camera is moved back on the dolly, or vice verse. Because that has been used to great effect in cinema countless times

mmm not really, the fish eye lens thing in anime doesn’t usually involve any zoom, sometimes it’s just a top down angle

i have seen emulations of the dolly zoom on anime though! just not usually for the goofy eyes

#not a miku #ask #anonymous #also one of my personal favourite examples of the dolly zoom is from vertigo by alfred hitchcock #that is exactly how it feels to look down from a height yeah #and for anyone wondering: a dolly is a rail track for the camera used to get more stable moving shots #dollies are super tedious to set up though. that’s why not everyone in my class used them for their final film project (myself included)
