Every time I see that G--gle phone photoshop commercial my heart is filled with infinite sadness, like, yeah it's cool you can have a good family photo, it's cool you can do that, but god, there is something to be said for the honesty of a family photo where you're blinking, or crying, or have ugly wrinkles.
What is too unsightly for you? Would you swipe-click-replace out the image of my cousin crying on our Florida trip family reunion photo? Would you remove the plastic snake I have clenched in my grip, which I still have to this day? Would you scoff at the wrinkles around our eyes and the strands of hair on our faces as we squint into the wind, the day before the massive storm? Would I remember it if I didn't have these reminders, if the picture was perfect and clean, all children in a row with perfect gleaming white tombstone tooth smiles? No tears. No plastic snake.
Shamrocks for Palestine
Ireland marches once again in solidarity with Palestine.
As Irish politicians from the largest political parties travel to the White House to celebrate St. Patrick's Day with Joe Biden, protesters from across Northern Ireland gathered to march to the US Consulate in Belfast, calling for a White House boycott and an immediate ceasefire.
When a Councillor from Sinn Féin took the stage she was subjected to intense booing from the crowd throughout her speech for the party's decision to go to the White House with the right wing political parties.
pride and prejudice 1995 devours 2005 in every aspect. i say this as someone who has no nostalgia for the story. i didn’t grow up with it, i don’t give any special fuck about matthew mcfayden or colin firth. i watched it for the first time in 2019. 1995 is litchrally just written and acted better. AND has the spine to not soften lizzie’s character to make her more palatable. like i’m SORRY . but i couldn’t believe that 2005 was considered a masterpiece among them. like you people have to be keiraknightleysexual or have childhood nostalgia. bc there is just no way. you’re telling me this female character who was ADORED as she was in the original book that came out in the 1800s. the 1800s!!! when adapted into a hollywood movie in 2005 was changed to diminish her personality and be less severe?? and THEN everyone not only let joe wright get away with that but praised him for it?!!! HE SHOULDVE BEEN FLOGGED IN THE TOWN SQUARE
You’re telling me that Derek Hale is living in Beacon Hills owning an auto shop and consulting for the sheriff and having a rebellious teenage son who loves the jeep and in the first twenty seconds of being on screen Derek says to the sheriff “Maybe you should call your son?” Like I literally paused it.
Seriously considering keeping it paused and just writing a fanfic to finish it out because this is a beautiful premise that right now is canon. I accept the first 20 minutes of this movie. The rest we can toss.
watched my friend play the demo and wondered where all the blood from killing an entire village went (is it t or m rating?) surely some sprayed on him when he chopped off a head
