heavily inspired from @kitasgloves' camilo bf hcs cause i cant get them out of my head kasjshhd this one is for when he's dating a ballerina :'))

not a professional ballerina but was trained in a similar genre so pls do correct me for inaccuracies!

Camilo is an artistic person all in all so if YOU manage to get HIS attention the most, you're something else, he's definitely a keeper

I feel like you would know him beforehand, I hc him to be also oriented with dance therefore you two met over mutual friends or connections

He's seen you dance a lot and he gets shy when he approaches you but soon enough, he musters up the courage to get your contact info

The talking stage between you two is MAGIC. He would often ask if you ate, ask if you were okay, and if you're free he would ask if he can take you outside to hang out

After sometime he asks you out and his jumps would be higher than yours. Man is an energetic person therefore he would be all over the place if he's over the moon

Despite being energetic, he's anything BUT flexible. He would joke around and try to imitate your poses but would fail miserably but it's okay cause your laugh already makes him feel enough

He's very affectionate. He loves to kiss your hand and 'bow' jokingly as if he's imitating a royal prince

Speaking of prince, he calls you princess a LOT. He loves saying that you remind him of royalty and that he should treat you with respect because of how poised, graceful and elegant you are

Whenever you need to practice without your crew, he wouldn't hesitate to be a dance double. You can tell he really tries and it's the most adorable thing in the world

He can lift you up and spin you around gracefully but ask him to do a split and he's whining like a 5 year old

He cringes with shoe squeaks on the floor so everytime you practice you're either wearing socks or stockings along with your pointe shoes

Camilo is a natural jokester and energy pill that never runs out so to other people, you're seemingly like the most mature out of the relationship

YOU TWO ARE THE SUN AND MOON AND I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH !!

Camilo Madrigal, the sunshine and source of energy while you, the moonlight's grace and calming wonder. A PERFECT DYNAMIC

He gets weak at the knees when you do pirouettes. He says it's like you're in a wind up music box and you look so beautiful everytime

Even if its not required, he's always getting you accessories for your dance outfits (may it be tiaras, feather headdresses, flower hair clips) which always makes you stand out from the crowd and he loves it

He's always posting you on his Instagram stories !! With matching emojis that fit your outfits (🌸🧁💗, 🌊🎟️💙, etc)

And everytime your ballet team posts pictures with you, he immediately shares it to his IG story with an arrow pointed at you

Every time you get sore after practice, he always gives you adhesive relief patches along with sweet treats that both of you enjoy on the way home in the car

He always carries your bottled water everywhere. His backpack is even bigger incase you needed to put something in there

Bonus: He practices opera as a joke after how much you dance to the genre

Camilo Madrigal is also a sentimental person. He would keep small memoirs of your life or he even collects it (spare feathers, loose fabric, etc) not in a weird way but just for something to look back to

He's always goofing around the barre (handrail for support). He loves to tease you practicing but can never reach your flexibility so he's just there looking like a stiff giraffe and it makes you laugh every single time

He wears your tutu as a lions mane when hes feeling goofy. Sometimes he would forget it was still there and you hold back your laugh

Being a ballerina and having to be constantly fit means that you're physique is lowkey built and your muscles are lean. This makes Camilo jealous so he works out just so that he can rival and get better abs than you

When you're out for dinner after a show, he always tells you to keep wearing your dress in public. You don't know why but he loves showing off his ballerina girlfriend out there and he grins proudly holding your hand when people stare at you

He's always inviting his family to your shows!! His cousin Isabela loves you so much to the point where she just wants you to marry into the family so that you can teach her dance gracefully

Camilo's sister Dolores treats you like a doll. She and Mirabel pampers you with new dresses and accessories that makes you look more like a princess. They always have Camilo get the last look and he gets so lovesick everytime.

Even if you love being a ballerina, there are often times where you just don't feel like it. You feel pressured to perform, anxious to mess up, etc. If that ever happens Camilo would always be there to cheer you up. If you're down he gets you to do something else like watching a movie or walking in the park while endlessly chatting to distract you.

You love his singing voice! If you're extra drained from dancing all day he goes all out to play the piano and sing you a song until you fall asleep

Camilo is always the first to congratulate you. He has nothing to hide so he's always out there running to you after every competition and showers you with love

Camilo's love language is both physical touch and words of affirmation. He's very affectionate and open to you and you reciprocate that by running to his arms and endlessly telling him 'thank yous', 'i love yous' and etc. It makes him feel so loved and think he's worth it.

If you receive bouquets of flowers as you walk through the stage during awarding ceremonies, you already know who it's from 💗

again and I cannot stress this enough, SUN AND MOON DYNAMIC ‼️‼️‼️

[Angst] With your sun brightening up your day, there are times when he gets real down but tries so hard to hide it. You notice it though, you know him the most so you're always looking out for him

[Angst] Oftentimes he feels burdened and pressured of having you. A ballerina girlfriend is every man's dream and sometimes he feel like he's not enough and he doesn't deserve you which is why he tries so hard in making you happy, at the cost of neglecting his own

[Angst] But you, you see through him. You're always showering him with affection and making sure that Camilo isn't down and he's so genuinely lucky to have you

With you around, Camilo is certainly living his Disney Prince dream. Having a princess-like ballerina to love is already enough to make him grateful for his life

He loves to dance with you! Slow dances and ballroom dancing are his fave because its a genre you two feel comfortable dancing in

Encanto Headcannons because this movie has a chokehold on me

- Antonio has one-sided beef with Isabella. Since her flowers attract annoying bugs, she would grow Venus fly traps, pitcher plants, sundew, etc. I don’t think I need to explain why Antonio doesn’t like this. He uproots any that he finds

- Isabella is aroace imo, in the movie we see her grow hydrangeas before Markiplier Mariano comes for dinner. Columbia has a superstition that if you have hydrangeas in a house with single women, they will never marry. 👀 (of course this is just me projecting a bit, I’m aware that it was actually just cuz she didn’t want to marry Mariano, pls don’t take this too seriously)

- Dolores’s room is not sound proof like other people say. Since her superhuman hearing ability is used to protect the Encanto, I wouldn’t be surprised if she was the only one without a soundproof room. Poor girl 😔.

- Antonio, Dolores, and Bruno gossip with each other, they have so much dirt on EVERYONE

- If you shake Bruno’s head, his eyes respond like a magic 8-ball /hj

- Dolores is normally fine with all the noises she hears all day, but the second dinner time is over, she’s done, straight to her room, don’t talk to her.

- Abuela is NOT-I repeat-NOT homophobic, IDC if it doesn’t make sense for their time period, I will forever stand by my opinion that she truly couldn’t care less if anyone in the family was lgbt+

- Bruno tugs on his rauna when stressed and that’s part of the reason why it has some rips in the fabric

- Bruno is the flavor of autism where he doesn’t know when his eye contact is too much “❇️_❇️”

- Luisa, Dolores, and Pepa love romance novels, they have a book club together

- Mirabel and Alma like to paint with each other, I’d also like to think that Alma made the family tree in the kitchen

- Alma taught Mirabel how to sew when she was younger, so she had something to do when everyone else is busy

- Camilo mimicks people’s mannerisms without realizing, but it’s often mistaken for mocking

Encanto Headcanons!!

So I saw Encanto a few days ago and I literally have not stopped thinking about it so... HEADCANONS!

Some of these are specific to post-canon, some aren't.

One of the things being done to lighten Luisa's workload is Antonio just telling the donkeys to go back in the barn

Dolores didn't high-key snitch on Bruno living in the walls because she relates to knowing things other people don't want to know/don't want you to know

Camilo has a stash of tea somewhere for when Pepa gets stressed

Dolores' room has a bunch of things in it that muffle sound, but also a bunch of things that make interesting sounds

Pepa and Julieta's rooms have aspects of them which also cater to their respective husbands because of how important they are to them

Bruno's favorite game is chess, but he never follows the rules, he just starts making up ridiculous plotlines and derails everything like four moves in. Everyone learns to just go along with it.

Mirabel's glasses are magically reinforced (how else do you explain them not getting disastrously scratched up when she falls face first into a ton of sand?)

Isabela gets commissioned to dye clothing after she realizes she can

A good half of the village just calls Alma "abuela"

Luisa likes to do things like woodworking. The more delicate things don't always turn out the best, but she enjoys it anyway.

Playing with Camilo’s hair hcs

Ohohoho this is gonna be funnnn

So firstly, this probably goes without saying but sweet jebus Camilo loves loves LOVES it when you play with his hair

So let’s say you’re sitting on a chair or couch or whatever and he’s chilling on the ground between your legs while you guys watch a movie or show and suddenly, just bc it looks so fluffy, you reach out and let his hair

First time you do it he tilts his head all the way back to look quizzically at you and you apologize but he’s like “no no no- do it again”

And you do and he sighs happily and puts his head back down. As you get more comfortable with it and roam your fingers across his scalp and lightly tug at the soft curls he dam near starts purring

And when you do the gentle little scratchy thing on his scalp????

Camilo might actually purr

His body oozes with pleasure. I’m talkin shoulders slumping, muscles relaxing, he probably goes kinda dead-weight. When he relaxes his neck his head kinda flops either to the side or backward. So either into your lap or against your knee or thigh.

He can be pretty vocal about it too, like a heavy but content sigh, or really long hum, or praises

Ooo and when you play with his hair just the right way it’s all of the above. Camilo just- he l o v e s when you play with his hair.

I mean it’s a sacred thing ofc, this is Camilo Madrigal we’re talking about, but he trusts you and loves you so do whatever you want with his hair! :D

Although, as heavenly as all this sounds, there is a matter of the knots you will undoubtedly come across. Holy cripe they can be awful. But if you’re handling them it’s all good bc you do them gently. And if you accidentally pull a little too hard it’s very quickly forgiven and forgotten bc you make up for it with kisses.

It’s also fun to put Camilo’s hair up in buns, braids, etc… if you’re up for a challenge. As soft as his curls are they are STUBBORN AF. So it might be a little bit of a workout but he looks so GODDAMN C U T E with his little floof-bun sitting on the top of his head the sweat was 100% worth it.

Space buns on Camilo look like mouse ears no matter where you put them and it’s gotta be the cutest thing you’ve ever had the honor of laying eyes on. Seriously it’s so wholesome and pure you don’t think you’re worthy of such a sight

But then he takes them out bc he wants you to keep playing with his hair :)

MORE Encanto Headcannons because they’re fun

- Bruno is super quiet when walking around, he’s the kinda guy to walk on his toes, he often jumpscares his sisters by accidentally sneaking up on them

- Casita has an umbrella in every room for whenever Pepa is unhappy, and emergency food kits for Julieta

- While he usually avoids touch, Bruno occasionally needs a tight hug from Luisa or Felix… and then Julieta’s food to heal his broken ribs❤️

- The rebuilt Casita kept the walls, but they are more of a quiet hangout spot rather than a dungeon of self-isolation

- Isabella decided to grow a corpse plant in her room, so now her room smells like shit, also there’s so much cacti, it would be impossible to go through her room without getting pricked.

- FINE 🙄 Dolores gets a sound-proof room, BUT ONLY AFTER the events of the movie, since Abuela is being more considerate of the others’ gifts

- Before she did tho, she would hang out in her parents’ room if things got too loud for her

- Isabella has a really ugly laugh, she snorts, and keels over, and it’s awfully contagious

- Dolores and Mirabel used to give makeovers to Camilo, they stopped when they got older, and Cami misses them 😔

- The rats taught Antonio swear words, and the entire family went into a frenzy when he dropped his first f-bomb

- Since Bruno sleeps in a hammock, it’s not too uncommon for him to have a vision while he sleeps, only to be abruptly woken up to a vision tablet shattering on the floor

- Luisa is not allowed to have stress balls anymore. No explanation needed.

- Mirabel does sewing commissions for the town, and Isa makes bouquet arrangements

- Bruno doesn’t dislike Mariano by any means, but he thinks he’s corny asf and his poetry is boring

- Aro/ace Bruno because I said so sorry!! :/ (fun fact, the flags in my pfp are made from his color palette)

Ok so, I had this cute idea for a Camilo x Reader where the reader likes to draw a lot & is rlly good at it and Camilo finds it like rlly cool and so they teach him how to draw better

I just thought this idea was suepr cute! The reader would preferably be fem but you can also do gender neutral if u want! This could be headcannons or a oneshot or whatever you like really :D

You always had a knack for art, and everyone else can see it. You are a traditional artist, most especially known for the Madrigal family mural in the village as a tribute to their deeds in the community. Your skills are immaculate, and everyone falls in love with your sketches and work.

However, a particular Madrigal found himself the luckiest man in the world when you said yes to his confession. Camilo Madrigal, the town’s sunshine and joy was even more brighter than the skies above the day when you became his other half, his soulmate, his significant other, and his life.

You and Camilo had the cutest relationship everyone else asked for. Both of your dynamics fit well together

You were the creator of 2d beauty while he appreciated and admired every inch of what your canvas could create

Even a simple doodle of a chameleon makes him tear up from how beautiful it is

Sometimes you think he’s overreacting, but he proves you wrong.

His room is FILLED with your drawings. A separate wall in his room was what he called the “Y/N Board”. It was a thing you both made out of scratch. A wall filled with pins and tapes of your random doodles to help inspire the both of you

He was your biggest fan and you absolutely loved him most for that. He gave you confidence and you gave him happiness

You were in his room, casually sketching a portrait of Antonio’s jaguar in the rainforest. You were sitting in his bed, knees propped up to support your sketchbook while you were leaning back on the chest of your boyfriend. His arms were around your waist and his face was buried in the crook of your neck. He wasn’t moving so you assumed he was dozed off.

Suddenly, you felt something tickling on the side of your neck, giving you shivers. Turns out it was Camilo’s fluffy curls that lightly ticked your neck when he stirred awake. He took a look at your now 80% finished drawing and he audibly gasped.

“Woah! Now that is realistic!” He hugged you tighter, eyes still focused on your drawing.

You looked at the side of your shoulder, giving him a kiss on his head. “Good morning, my koala. How was your nap?”

“I didn’t mean to sleep. I wanted to watch you keep drawing.” His voice sounded soft, sulky and lazy where you can tell he was pouting.

You shuffled your position off of him so that you sat beside him. Giving him your pencil, you said.

“Here, wanna finish coloring the spots?”

“No, what if I ruin your drawing?!”

You laughed and pinched his cheeks. “You won’t, amor. Come on, I’ll guide you.” You placed your hand on top of his hand that was grasping your pencil.

“Start with light shading, and slowly put more pressure when you want it darker.”

That was most of your dates, to be honest. It was a perfect break for Camilo

He didn’t mind spending the times drawing with you. Every time he feels drained from all the daily chores, sitting down and cuddling with you while drawing was his escape and refuge

You were like his charging station, keeping him calm and collected before he goes out again draining his social battery tending to children and babysitting

And for you, he was your best supporter. There was never a moment where his eyes didn’t sparkle when it landed on your art. Though sometimes you wished he would give actual constructive criticism, but its cute when he tries to.

You got him interested in drawing. He’s not that bad, but he’s also not skilled at your level. You saw this opportunity to teach him how to draw

Sometimes he gets shy but you never fail to reassure him and give him advice on how to draw better

“Is that your entry for the art contest!? You’re guaranteed first place!” He was jumping all around your room, excited for the competition while you were slightly nervous as you continue painting in your canvas.

“Yeah, but I’m not yet done.” You sulked, sadness evident in your tone. He stopped bouncing on your bed and gave you a backhug while he rests his chin on your head.

“Whether you finish early or not, your details are already amazing so I’m confident you will still win!” He squished both of your cheeks.

A light bulb ticked on your head. Standing up, you faced him and put your hand on his shoulders.

“Mi vida, what if you join the competition with me? I can coach you!”

It took a lot of begging and puppy eyes but Camilo finally agreed to join the art competition

He was a nervous wreck, but you were there to reassure and teach him all he needed to do

He was even more nervous because he never showed anything art-sy to everyone else. He only doodled for you and the last time he drew for his family, he got a lot of teasing for it.

This only made you excited though, you know he is gonna impress a lot of people once they find out how much Camilo has improved, thanks to you

After grabbing your spare canvas, both of your easels stood beside each other while you both created your artworks for the contest

“You’re doing impressionism?” Your eyes widened at his outline sketch. “And on Casita too?! That’s amazing Milo!”

He gave you a warm smile. “Yeah. but what if turns out bad?”

Giving him a big bear hug, you dug your face in his chest. “It won’t, trust me! You gave me confidence all the time, now its my turn to give you yours!”

A day left before the final submissions and both of you were amazed at each other’s work

Camilo improved by a lot, and I mean, a lot! Not only was he confident, but he was also expressive and it reflected in his artwork. Yellows dominated the image and his first official signature was placed in the lower left of the canvas

You were all over the place happy for your boyfriend and he was shy about it.

Camilo wasn’t used to this, it used to be the other way around

Needless to say, your sunflower portrait and his Casita landscape is definitely one of the best outputs both of you had made. And deep down, you were confident that two of you would walk home with an award.

“And for the first place, between Entry #3: Sunflower Portrait and Entry #7, Village Beauty, we have...” The announcer said out loud to the stage. It was funny, because he was also the Church Priest who had a knack for MC-ing in the side.

“And the first place is....”

drumrolls....

“Entry #3 takes the trophy! Sunflower portrait by Y/N L/N! Come up to the stage!”

You screamed, jumping all over the place. Camilo immediately rushed to your arms and spun you around while lifting you by the waist, “MI AMOR! CONGRATULATIONSS!” He peppered kisses all over your face before letting you free to receive your award.

As you stand on the edge of the stage, you glanced at the crowd. The Madrigal family was there, cheering for you. You were truly happy. Your passion and talent has what made you special and you were more than ecstatic when everyone else appreciates it.

But, it wasn’t the end of the story.

“And for the last award, the fourth place!” You grinned, seeing the audience waiting.

“The last place, and the cut-off of participants who would move on to compete in the grand finals is-”

drumroll....

Ohhhhh this is gonna be good.

“Entry #12: Sunlight in the Casita by Camilo Madrigal!”

You were full on screaming and jumping all around the stage. No one expected this twist, but were very impressed at the sight of his art. Camilo, who was still stunned, stood back frozen. You immediately went down the stage to grab his hand, intertwining it with yours as you led him back to the spotlight.

After getting his award, you wouldn’t stop squealing over the excitement, and neither can he

His family was more than proud of him. Even Isabella who once thought his self-portrait was a frog

Needless to say once again, but you were so proud of him that you initiated PDA on stage and he blushed

“I told you you can do it!!! Look at you!!” “Milo! You’re moving to finals! You’re so cool!”

As soon as you both exited the stage, Pepa ran fast to her son, showering him in admiration. You giggled at the sight and followed Felix who initiated a group hug

Now back home in your, you changed your clothes and settled in your pajamas, catching up to Camilo who was fiddling with his newly-earned medal while laying down in your bed.

Catching up too him, you crawled in his arms while giving him another bear hug.

“I’m proud of you, amor. Who knew you had a hidden Da Vinci right here?” You grabbed his hands and fiddled with it.

“And I’m thankful for you helping me work on it. Even I didn’t expect all this.” He mumbled.

Raking his fluffy hair, you said to him,
