Camilo had several crushes in his entire life so he knows what it's like to be attracted to people, but genuinely falling for you? Woaaah, that's a different territory.

The first time he laid his eyes on you I wanna know what love is by foreigner begins playing in the background lmfao

I also think he doesn't have a specific type, he just wants someone who can put up with his shit and vibe with his energy

Mans literally googling shit at 3 am flirting tips, the best places for dates, etc. He puts his effort into impressing you.

Camilo is an absolute flirt, he's got that natural charm. He would say anything from cheesy pick-up lines to compliments that make your heart swoon bruh he's so suave fr ugh

As for courting you, he would try anything to get your eyes to land on him only. He'll sing, do a fucking breakdance, act, something that would have you sighing with hearts in your eyes.

Despite his overflowing confidence, I feel like Camilo won't be the one to confess first lmao. Like, he'll back out in the minute, afraid that you won't feel the same. But when the moment is right, as a random opportunity, he'll blurt out something like "I like you so much" and then says it's an accident before actually confessing.

His shapeshifting goes out of control when he finds out you like him back. He'll be incredibly overjoyed, picking you up and spinning you around.

As for his ideal date, I think he'll be the type to take you to lively and fun places like theme parks, arcade dates, and probably concerts. But if you're not into that he'll just go over to your house and hang out, watch a movie or two. He's not picky and will be satisfied if it's just you and him.

He's not overly into PDA, he does it sometimes to brag to people. He shows affection in many ways, especially in actions. A kiss on the cheek or forehead, a good morning/night text, will ask if you have eaten yet, and just generally looking out for you. He loves to hold your hands and is not afraid to show the world how much he loves you, and he's full of lovely endearments.

Camilo would probably love to call you with a unique nickname (i.e if your name is like Juliana, he'll call you something like Juli, Ana, Iana, Julia, etc.). Let's not forget the common endearments like Mi vida, amor, querida/querido, and more.

He will dramatically collapse to the ground if you call him with a nickname or endearment lmao

Definetly feeds off of your attention, like come on. He loves to distract you and do stupid shit if it means you'll give him your attention.

Camilo is most likely a gift-giver, he likes to give you a lot of things with his own twist. Like he'll buy you your favorite flowers with a hand-written letter attached to them. He's probably the type to know what you really like (i.e clothes, gadgets, items, jewelry, e.tc) and put his effort into saving money and buying it for you as a surprise. He'll take random job offers for money to buy that one thing you love the most.

He would very much insist on buying matching stuff with you. He'll ironically buy those "He/She's mine" t-shirts with arrows lmao. But he'll be more into matching clothing so that you'll wear his, like matching hoodies with the same design but different colors. I feel like he'll like matching rings too hehe.

Okay, I am about to lose it, but I think Camilo would save a recording of you talking or singing and use it as his ringtone like wsdtgvbjmkll, YES. 

He's both a listener/talker. He'll listen to you talking for hours and he'll blabber about everything just to make you feel better n' stuff.

Not every relationship would be perfect so you two would argue sometimes. Like he won't sense you're not in the mood for his jokes, you tell him to shut up, he'll roll his eyes and make fun of you for being so grumpy, and then shit just goes downhill

[Angsty] Camilo can be violent if he can't control it, he's not very harsh with words but he can make the tables turn easily (Taylor Swift style lmao). He's not the "silent rage" but "loud fury", he'll really express his distress when in a fight with you. I feel like he would accidentally hurt you, but not dramatically like a slap, he'll just shove you or firmly grab you by the arm.

He'll be the first to leave after a fight and the first to apologize, after some time alone of course. He'll seek you, it doesn't matter where you are, to say sorry with a gift or a simple kiss and hug. If you're still mad, he'll understand and give you some space but will occasionally check on you from time to time.

When things are on good terms, he'll be all happy and giddy again, he'll maybe take you out on a date or have a special moment alone together to make it up to you.

Camilo loves to pull tiny pranks on you and film it so he'll have something to make fun of you later. He'll definetly do those TikTok pranks but will stop if things get too annoying or too much for you.

Camilo is thoughtful, sentimental, and a bit of a jealous type. If he sees you talking to someone else, he'll secretly glare at them and flip them off behind your back but when you would turn to look at him he'll be smiling like an innocent angel lmao.

He's also sweet, understanding, and responsible. Surely, he can act immature and be a joker in many instances but he's a very smart guy, it'll be hard for someone to trick him. If there's a problem you're going through he's great at giving you advice. He's good at switching roles like bro he can be a fucking malewife or a mafia boss (???) at the same time lmao, mans is very versatile.

Camilo is an absolute daytime/dawn type of person. He likes to sunbathe sometimes and would take you to picnics and watch the clouds in the sky. He'll maybe ask you out on a hike or camping trip together. He'll love the idea of road trips or anything adventurous.

He likes getting to know your business, he's nosy lmao. He'll come to you for drama like "I heard you had beef with [Friend's Name], is it true?" and if you lay the details on him he'll take your secrets to the grave. He loves to gossip with you.

HE LOVES SLOW DANCING TO OLDIES THAT HIS PARENTS WOULD PLAY!!11!! Please I am so weak for that idea that he'll randomly pull you into a slow dance, hand to hand, cheek to cheek with the 80s or 90s kind of music playing in the background as if it's the end of the world. He's a great dancer too huhuhuhu

I feel like he has a secret talent for playing the drums, you'll catch him sometimes practicing in his drum set and he'll teach you sometimes (i.e he'll give you the drumsticks and sit behind you while he guides you how to hit the drums). He's intense and hot while playing the drums bro I'm about to faaaaaaint.

Absolutely and definetly a dramatic person, both ironically or not. He just has the most telenovela type of reactions to everything. If you say something like "I don't like you anymore" (jokingly) he'll drop to his knees and start speaking in Spanish, begging you to not leave him lmao.

He would love to grow his hair out and let you style it. He'll let you groom, braid, brush, and just style his hair. He likes going on spas with you and getting some of those relaxing facials and foot spas, manicures, and shit. He loves being fresh asf.

He'll send you random shit from the internet, funny videos, memes, and interesting stuff. He loves to send you selfies of his amazing outfits every day and ask stupid shit like "do these pants make my ass look fat?" lmfao. generally, he'll send you a pic of anything he's doing atm, he's shameless in sending intentionally ugly selfies and videos of him strutting in his best clothes bc he's a fashion star.

He's obsessed with sending you food that he personally made with the help of his tía Julieta

I feel like he loves to show off by getting into your hobbies, he also likes to be involved with your interests. If you're a performer, he'll go to every show/contest/event. He's a 100% supporter you can't change my mind.

As soon as you and he became official, the first person he ever told it to was Mirabel (I hc they're besties). And then the next day the news would spread and The Madrigals would know and beg for him to invite you over for dinner, he happily obliged.

Camilo is a flustered mess when he invited you to have dinner with his family, he turns from suave into a shy teenage boy lmao. His parents would see, especially Pepa, his loving gaze on you and they would go crazy. Pepa forms a raincloud and cries over how her mijo has finally become a man. His cousins and siblings would make fun of him for being so shy around you. Yeah, his family adores you.

Of course, you invite him over too so your family would get to know him. Immediately, your family would like him. He's such a show-off, he'll politely greet your mother and compliment her and tell your father how cool he is. You'll roll your eyes because it seems like your family likes Camilo over you. But yeah, your family would love to have your boyfriend over for every dinner.

His first kiss with you I feel like would be accidental, like a quick peck on the lips and his pupils dilate. He'll ask if he can properly kiss you, if you say yes he'll be incredibly tender and gentle. He's a fantastic kisser, he's got your spine tingling and your heart-stopping.

He'll take any chance he gets to pull you in for a kiss. He loves to kiss you on your forehead, temple, and the back of your hand. He loves to nuzzle his forehead with yours too hehe.

Camilo is really determined to marry you someday and throw the best wedding ever the world has ever since, Disney princess-style. He'll find the prettiest ring out there and plan a very emotional proposal.

🦎☀ • Camilo doesn't really let anyone touch his hair, well besides his mamí. But he doesn't get a choice in that one, mostly because he is a mama's boy and can't deny his mama when she asks to brush his hair for old time's sake.

🦎☀ • When you both started dating he was ready to give you the hairbrush and any hair ties he could find in Casita, Camilo might be a natural flirt but when he falls he falls hard.

🦎☀ • he sits on the floor against his bed as he reads the new comic his Papí gave him for his birthday, leaning back as you run your fingers through his curls. He practically purrs at the feeling. It relaxes him every time.

His hair is actually very smooth and barely has any knots, mostly from the trauma he gained from his mother when he was younger about not keeping his hair well-kept as she yanked the hairbrush (if you know you know)

🦎☀ • Once you finished taking two sides of his hair and pulling each side tightening the hair tie and securing the high bun, his bangs hung around his face like his Mamí. He looked to his side stretching to see himself in his mirror from his sitting position and smiled. He liked it.

His Mamí was complimentary of his new hairstyle and was pleased to match with her son she had a rainbow over her head the rest of the day.

🦎🎤 • yeah. No. He doesn't let anyone touch his hair, and practically runs from his mamá when he sees her rushing toward him with a hairbrush, "Carlos Control that hair, or I'll do it for you!"

"No! Mamá it's my hair!"

🦎🎤 • When you start dating, it'll take some time before you get the privilege of touching his hair. He will try and hint at wanting his hair played with by resting his head in your lap but angles his head so his hair is perfectly in reach and accessible if you still don't get the hint? He huffs before grabbing your hair and placing it on his head.

🦎🎤 • His head rests on your lap as you both talk about your days (well, it's mostly just him braging about all the successful pranks he pulled that day) as you play with his hair. His hair is soft but has tangles for sure, no matter how many times his mamá lectured him about protecting his hair as he slept and detangling it regularly as she ripped a hairbrush through his curls before using a mountain of products to help with the detangling process it just never stuck.

But if you take the time to detangle his hair gently with few tugs as possible, he would appreciate it even if he won't say it out loud.

🦎🎤 • He barely notices his hair is in a high bun until he sits up and his hair doesn't cover one of his eyes like it usually does. He kinda just grumbles but is too lazy to untie the scrunchie knowing he would receive an earful if he just yanked it out not only from you but from his Mamá.

His mamá is very grateful for you and your service, if she had to detangle his hair one more time she was sure to thunder from his constant disregard of her words.

More headcanons

Bruno started to isolate himself somewhere prior Camilo's birth. It wasn't immediately, but slowly he stopped interacting with almost everyone, even before he left in the walls.

Therefore, both Camilo and Mirabel don't have actual memories of him. (Camilo spread rumors and Mirabel knows nothing at all). Luisa knows a bit more, but it's not enough to remember him. Isabela and Dolores are the only ones who actually remember Bruno to the extent when they can at least tell something about him.

The older girls would try to spend time with Bruno, I guess. But not Camilo and Mirabel as they had no actual connection with him and weren't interested. Tío Bruno was just a random man in the house for them in the most part

What if the Madrigals piled into a huge van and went to a mall?

Felix is the driver. He always brings along a bottle of water that Pepa always ends up drinking. He buys himself another one in the mall or begs Julieta for one. He likes to find new music to dance to or sheet music.

Alma sits beside Felix in the passenger seat. It's too hard on her knees to crawl into the back part of the van and she likes to be in a spot where she can see the whole family. She will usually meet an old friend for a meal or coffee, then shop with Julieta and Agustin when they get groceries. Everyone knows to meet them when the groceries are done to help load up the van because Julieta will send out a group text. This is the last thing they get done and they leave the city after.

Pepa sits behind Felix. She always forgets something and it's most often her water bottle, so she takes Felix's. She and Felix like to dance to Agustin's piano music if they see him playing in the mall. Felix will follow her around and carry her bags for her, even though she asks if he's sure he wants to do that. It makes him happy so she lets him. They'll help with the grocery shopping too.

Antonio sits beside Pepa and likes to bring along his stuffed jaguar because he isn't allowed to bring along any of his other animals. He has a system for who he spends time with and chooses a different person/group each time so that he can spend time with everyone. He always wants to visit the toy store and pet store, of course.

Julieta is on Antonio's other side and always brings along a large bag full of food, juice, water, and first aid supplies for the kids (and inevitably her husband).

Luisa sits behind Pepa. The far back seat is too tight for her to fit into and she wants to give the front bench to Antonio so he can sit with his mother. She likes to bring tea along for the ride and points out all of the farm animals in the fields.

Isabela sits beside Luisa. Isabela and Luisa usually end up hanging out together in the mall. They like to try on different clothes, check out the bookstore, and visit the gardening section.

Agustin's behind Julieta and beside Isabela. He almost always slams his finger in the door or hits his head getting into the van. Julieta and Agustin like to find a nice restaurant to have a meal together before they go shopping. Sometimes Agustin will play the mall piano for a little while.

Camilo sits in the far back seat behind Luisa. He's always got a prank or some other scheme planned for mall shenanigans. He usually drags Mirabel and/or Bruno into it. When he isn't planning schemes, he likes to visit the music store and Mirabel drags him to the craft store.

Mirabel sits beside Camilo and likes to bring one of her embroidery projects along for the long car ride. Camilo usually keeps distracting her with his plans so she doesn't get much done. She likes to stock up on her sewing supplies and likes the arts and craft store.

Bruno sits beside Mirabel and always has a huge coffee in his hand. Being outside of Casita is exhausting, never mind being in a huge mall. If he can get away from Camilo's plans, he likes to hang out with Dolores in the book store, music store, craft store, and pet store. He makes sure he's never alone in the mall.

Dolores sits beside Bruno and behind Agustin. It's usually the quietest corner of the van and she likes to watch outside the window as she listens to music through her headphones. If she isn't with Bruno, she likes to hang out with Luisa and Isabela.

Lesbian. I’m sorry I just can’t see her being into guys it just doesn’t work in my brain.

Since she’s dropped her perfect persona, Isabela has been pulling pranks, ESPECIALLY on known little shit head Camilo. He doesn’t know whether to be proud or extremely annoyed.

Can’t cook or bake she’ll set the kitchen aflame

Always walks barefoot on the grass

Has names for most of her plants, especially the cacti

Doesn’t really involve herself in farmers work unless there is an emergency.

Developed a skill for gardening without her gift, and continues to do so even once she’s gotten it back. There’s something special about watching plants grow over time.

She still makes bouquets for events, but they’ve lost their conservative look for something more ‘Isabela’

Unlike most of her family she doesn’t mind bugs (unless they are in her room)

Very high pain tolerance. Likely due to smiling all day and cacti thorns.

She still likes pastel colors but they aren’t high on her list of favorite colors, so she opts for darker colors when choosing cloths.

She used to bite people as a kid

Has conflicting feelings on animals because on one hand yeah they are cute on the other she has to shoo them away from eating her plants every other week

Has a large man eating plant named ‘Rosita’

Sometimes she’ll take whatever is in Mirabel’s hand, put it on a high shelf she cannot reach, and walk away.

Can actually be scarier then Luisa believe it or not

SNORES SO LOUDLY the only person who can handle it is her gf

Not big on physical affection and often uses gift giving as her way of showing love (platonically and romantically)

Incredible musician who could basically play any instrument you hand her

She sings lullabies to the younger family members

Personally I imagine her as the only straight grandkid but obvi she is supportive of lgbtq+ since half her family is apart of it

She wouldn’t come out of her room when she first got her gift, but her parents and a very supportive Isabela eventually coaxed her out

She has headphones painted red and gold by Mirabel

As much as she loves Isabela and appreciates all of Luisa’s hardwork; out of her cousins her and Mira get along the best.

Speaking of that Isabela and Dolores’s relationship, much like Camilo and Mirabel’s, soured as the pressure to uphold the family name increased. Before the magic disappeared they basically ignored each other, but began to reconcile during the rebuild and became close again.

Her room is sound proof (I know people say otherwise idc she needs a BREAK) but during the night she’ll sometimes open her window since it’s much quieter

I do believe she has SOME control over her gift, and in order to hear very far she has to hold a hand against her ear. When she isn’t, things are amplified but not unbearable. She’s kinda just gotten used to it.

Dolores love language is, unsurprisingly, words of affirmation.

If she gets stressed and doesn’t have access to her headphones, she’ll listen for the nearest family members voice (Ex: her fathers laugh, her mothers ranting, Camilo’s jokes, Antonio communicating with his animals)

Gets in on Isabela’s pranks now and again. She is mostly polite but has a devious side, especially with her cousins and siblings.

LUISA

I still adhere to the concept Luisa has some sort of ‘calm’ room. Wether it be an amusement park or a sauna she deserves to have somewhere to destress

Has a pile of stuffed animals, each with different names

She actually does enjoy doing chores and being active, but struggles to find a stopping point and not overwork herself

She’s more then just brawn, and was always a sharp academic when she was in school

Her and Camilo get along very well after Casita’s rebuild. She likes his energy and ability to let loose, and Camilo respects all the work she does around the Encanto. They mesh well.

When she first got her gift she accidentally broke her dads hand

Her father used to teach her piano, though she sorta fell out of it the older she got. Since casita’s rebuild she’s picked it back up as a hobby.

A big animal person, second to Antonio. She likes patting the donkeys on the head if she gets the chance

She originally struggled to control her gift, and that made her scared to touch anyone in fear she’d hurt them. But Pepa helped Luisa find ways to control the strength as she had to learn with her weather

After she lost her gift she kept trying to move the church as a force of habit

Despite always being hungry he cannot stomach fish. Some other seafoods are fine but the smell of fish makes him ill.

Won’t say this out loud: he is kinda legitimately afraid of Isabela ever since he’s become the target of her pranks. No one knows true fear until you realize you are caught in a Isabela prank.

Camilo’s love language is a lot of things, but quality time is high up on his list as he likes living in the moment.

Is a very good artist but gets embarrassed when people try to look at his work

Despite being a stick he is surprisingly strong.

Him and Mirabel used to be close but sort lost that connection the older they got, and even began to fight and butt heads. I like to think they do eventually become close, but it takes a lot of conversation and time.

Like Isabela: gift giving is her way of showing affection. She loves hand crafting gifts.

This is depressing but when she didn’t get her gift she drew a door on her wall hoping the magic would make it real

Once no one would wake up so she poured water on Camilo’s head and he screamed so loud it woke everyone else up

Mirabel looks extremely innocent but will literally try to stab anyone who bothers her with her sewing needle

She used to write simple picture books for Antonio when they roomed together

She DEF got her own room during the rebuild. Like imagine saving the miracle and your family is just like “anyway go back to the baby room lol” they wouldn’t do that to her

Don’t have too much on him since he is still a baby but I have a few!

His favorite animal is the jaguar! Hence the plushie and his closeness to Parce

He likes matching animals to people, and even has a few animals named after his family.

Animals often tend to just kinda… follow him. If he goes for a walk he might came back with some new friends.

I do think he’s a vegetarian. Maybe not a vegan but eating meat is not easy for him.

He doesn’t always go to his parents if he has nightmares, and will rotate between Dolores, Mirabel, and Camilo.

the two of you venture outside of the casita’s walls, as you finally make it into the town, fingers intertwined and locked in, camilo stops and turns to face you.

Isabela:

Changes her hairstyle literally every other week

Nobody knows how her hair survives being cut, dyed and whatever else so regularly

Her plants, especially the weirder/wilder ones, are her pride and joy. She will kill you if you touch them

If she talks to them, she’ll give them voices

Audrey II has got nothing on these guys

She left Encanto at some point for a good couple of months

Her and Lili’s wedding was the most chaotic and non-traditional ceremony in the entire world

Dolores:

Her and Mariano took things slow

They both decided not to do the proposal at dinner in Casita, it felt awkward

It was a private moment just between the two of them

Though Isabela, Luisa and Camilo were all watching in a nearby tree

This is because Isabela was obviously in on Mariano’s plans being his best friend, so she knew all about it

They do not have five children

Dolores actually shares her mother’s struggles to have children and finds it to be a sensitive topic

She and Mariano later adopt

Luisa:

She owns seven donkeys currently, they are all named after figures in Greek mythology

They are her pride and joy. She will kill you if you touch them

When they were foals, she made them a large cart-like stroller to show them off to the other parents in town

Much to his disappointment, he didn’t get much taller. He has the tiniest inch over Dolores

Grew his hair out

He usually wears it tied up though, anything ranging from a bun to a braid

He isn’t copying his mother, the headband is just practical

Was actually the first of the grandkids to get married and have children

He is sad about not being able to babysit like he use to do, but he absolutely adores being a father to his own children

And is always the first to offer to babysit any of his nephews and nieces

Oh, he and Marco also have capybaras

Mirabel:

Claims she has gotten much taller since the miracle died. She hasn’t. She hasn’t grown an inch

She’s tiny

Frequently wears heeled boots to be taller

Works as an embellisher for the local tailor and wouldn’t want to be doing anything else

She was offered to be the leader, years into the future, and said no

It’s not something she is interested in

Has probably worn the same outfit as her mother on occasion

She has two cats

One of them is her emotional support because of her PTSD

She regards them as her and Sera’s children

Antonio:

Ends up the second tallest of the group (first being Luisa)

There was a few days after passing each of them where his siblings and Isabela just straight up refused to talk to him

He teases them about it

Ultimately, he would become the town/family leader after Alma passed

Was also one of the few people Alma could still recognise at the end of her life, having developed Alzheimer’s Disease

He had taken an interest in his late teenage years and was took under the wing of various members in the council to train/prepare for it

He enjoys hosting the future gift ceremonies and personally walks each of the children to their door, like Mirabel did for him/he did for her

it’s honesty hour time (it’s not I’m just bored) but I sincerely dislike the hc that camilo gets all the girls in town and is like a massive flirt. Like this isn’t highschool guys😭 i think camilo is still finding himself and is actually really bad at flirting. i always think of “this ones for you” *completely misses* when it comes to him and flirting. I don’t want to say he’s a loser but like he’s just a bit awkward and tries to be funny all the time (sometimes it works) also (controversial) i think dolores would actually be the towns sweetheart.
