With our luck, what I feared had to happen.
In the middle of the night, a pack of Allosaurus discovered our animals, the noise of the fight woke us up and if it hadn't been for Sammy's new friend, who managed to calm the Allosaurus down until we arrived, we would have lost everything. She is our Guardian Angel.
The pteranodon disappeared and they managed to kill the stegosaurus, one of Brook's raptors and the deer, as well as injure Rebel and Toro, before we could do anything to defend them.
The plan now is to build some really good, secure stables and a big fence around the area. Until then, we sleep weapon in hand, and take turns in pairs to keep watch at night. Tonight I'm having watch duty with Sammy.

Mistakes of the Past (Jurassic World Fanfic) Chapter 9
Li replied, “Pretty sure this is all leading back to Mantah. Hence getting Darius to the safe house. White truck.” She tossed off the glasses and dug under the front passenger seat for a bag. “We got the safe house up on comms?”
"I see 'em." Jack peered at the rearview mirror at an angle. "And yup." Then he tossed his phone onto the center console. "We're on our way. With company," he said to the person on the other end of the line.
“Darius just rolled in,” a woman said back. “You pick up Li?”
“What’s rogue in LA, preferably in five miles of where we are?” Li asked.
After taking a sip of her coffee, Zia leaned in to ask, “Do you ever get answers?”
“Not really.”
In an even harsher tone, which somehow wasn’t nearly as scary as Lilia, Zia asked, “Who’s Mantah? And how did you piss them off?”
“Competitor to InGen and no clue how I pissed them off.”
"Oh, that's easy," the girl on the phone replied after a pop that sounded like bubble gum. "Mantah hijacked the InGen signal for the stygie, but you corrupted the tracker. That was the last dino you got before Li found you, right?"
The whole chapter can be found here on AO3.

𝓒𝓪𝓵𝓵𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓒𝓪𝓶𝓹 𝓕𝓪𝓶! 𝓒𝓸𝓶𝓮 𝓸𝓷𝓮, 𝓬𝓸𝓶𝓮 𝓪𝓵𝓵!!
You, yes you! Are you a fan of Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous or any of the Jurassic World or Park movies? Do you love dinosaurs and wish you could see them up close and personal, minus the threat (hopefully)? Then this post is for you!!
With Chaos Theory coming out, the Camp Cretaceous fandom has risen again and I am absolutely all for it! And if you're like me and weren't very satisfied with how they ended it or did the 4th and 5th seasons then you'll want to hear this! I'm opening a community and roleplay server that welcomes the entire Jurassic fandom and will be focusing on my AU, Corrupted Files!
What is Corrupted Files you may ask? Well let me tell you! Corrupted Files is, in my opinion, how Camp Cretaceous should have played out, leaving the campers stranded on the island for three years until Owen, Claire, and their team returned to Isla Nublar in 2018 in the hopes of rescuing the dinosaurs from the doomed island (only to find some feral but capable teenagers who everyone thought were dead)! This AU will explore the harsh realities of island life, the unresolved traumas that the campers face (like Ben not even being looked for and just accepting it, like huh??), and even a hybrid or two that Dr. Wu left behind as well!
Original characters are more than welcome and there will even be slots open for more campers if anyone is interested! If you wish to join the roleplay aspect of this server you will also be given the ability to roleplay a dinosaur as well, whether it be Blue herself or a completely new character that the public hasn't seen due to leaping forth from your own imagination! All canon characters are playable as well, meaning that ships, headcanons, etc are up to you!!
We hope to make this a great experience and community going forward into Chaos Theory and we can't wait to have you! Please share this around as much as you want and feel free to reach out to me via comments, dms, etc if you are interested in joining! The server offers many options for those not interested in roleplay as well such as general discussion channels for theories and such, art and writing channels, giveaways (including Discord nitro and a ton of other fun prizes), and much more!
Additionally, there is a Spinoraptor (complete with a two packmates/siblings) is up for grabs as a soft adopt of sorts to those who join! New members will be offered a welcome package as well if they wish with a surprise inside (until Chaos Theory is released).
We can't wait to have you!! <3
Will Darius have to lead all alone, even as their way to get home is destroyed, and it's obvious the pressure is getting to him? Will Ben ever let on to how he's truly feeling and how being abandoned for months has affected him? Will Yasmina ever regain her confidence or enjoy running again if she's not running for her life? Will Kenji begin to step up as he sees the group begin to fracture and break in their own ways? Can Sammy's upbeat attitude keep everyone afloat as a tropical storm approaches? Can Brooklynn properly adjust to being a normal teenager and learn to rely on others? How will the campers fair when they have more people to rely on and more lives to watch out for? Will they even survive all three years on Isla Nublar?
The choice is yours!

About the animated series and character descriptions
Nickelodeon and Mattel today announced the lineup of actors lending their voices to the fashionable monsters featured in the upcoming original animated series Monster High. The all-new series (26 episodes) follows the teenage children of famous monsters including Clawdeen Wolf, Draculaura, Frankie Stein, and Deuce Gorgon as they discover who they are, embrace their differences, and learn to be fierce and fearless at the one place they all belong: Monster High. Monster High is set to debut globally this fall on Nickelodeon. The animated comedy-adventure series accompanies the upcoming live-action movie-musical Monster High: The Movie in re-launching the globally loved and iconic Monster High franchise. The voice cast bringing the Monster High characters to life are:
Gabrielle Nevaeh Green (That Girl Lay Lay) as Clawdeen Wolf – Half-human and half-werewolf, Clawdeen is thrilled to join Monster High, despite the challenge of being a half-monster in a school of full-monster students.
Courtney Lin (Crash: The Animated Series) as Draculaura – The daughter of Dracula, vampire Draculaura seems like the perfect dictionary definition of a monster. But she hides a deep desire to become a witch, which is strictly forbidden in the monster world.
Iris Menas (West Side Story) as Frankie Stein – Brought to life just 15 days ago by their scientist parents, Frankie is figuring out who they are and who they want to be.
Tony Revolori (Spider-Man: No Way Home) as Deuce Gorgon – The son of Medusa and Lyra, Deuce is often influenced by the snakes that live on his head and get him into trouble.
Kausar Mohammed (Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous) as Cleo De Nile – Cleo is a mummy monster who knows she is destined for greatness--if only everyone else would just admit it and get out of her way.
Valeria Rodriguez (To Your Eternity) as Lagoona Blue – Having grown up in an ancient underwater Mayan Castillo with her ocean nymph mother and sea monster father, sweet yet ferocious Lagoona doesn’t know much about life on land.
Alexa Kahn (Madagascar: A Little Wild) as Toralei Stripe – hailing from an elite monster family, Toralei is a werecat and the “bad girl” at Monster High. Old fashioned and brave, Toralei is committed to her cause of preserving monster society.
Alexander Polinsky (Blaze and the Monster Machines) as Heath Burns – Temperamental and passionate as the son of Hades would be, Heath is quite literally a hot head who can get worked up over anything and is prone to fiery outbursts.
Debra Wilson (Baby Shark’s Big Show!) as Headmistress Bloodgood – The headless overseer of the school, Headmistress Bloodgood has a proclivity for wandering around at night to keep an eye on the students.
In addition to the animated series, a live-action television movie musical based on the iconic franchise is slated to premiere Thursday, Oct. 6 on Nickelodeon and Paramount+.
Today, Monster High is back with a reimagined set of fangtastic characters, inspired by the original ghouls for a new generation that embraces what makes them unique and rallies people everywhere to express themselves.
Shea Fontana (Polly Pocket) serves as showrunner and co-executive producer of Monster High, with Nick Filippi (Big Hero 6: The Series) as supervising producer.

Super Mario Bros. Movie sequel idea
Plot:
A few months after the events of the first movie, Mario and Peach are developing strong feelings for each other and Mario is planning to tell her how he feels about her. However, Bowser breaks free and accidentally gravely injures Peach during his breakout.
In a desperate attempt to save her life, both the heroes and villains go on a journey to Sarasaland, another dimension within the Mushroom Kingdom, to find the mythical 1-UP Mushroom created by the god Arceus.
At the journey through Sarasaland, the heroes meet Princess Daisy, Peach’s friend from another world, and her bodyguard Geno. And Bowser recruits Wario and Waluigi from the Human World to stop Mario.
Plot Differences:
.Obvious new thing needed like the Super Star: The 1-UP Mushroom
.ACTUAL character development!!
.Mario X Peach moments!!!! (Mostly expressed through flashbacks or at the end where they would FINALLY KISS!!!)
.Mario and DK’s friendship builds up more
.More Mario and Luigi bro moments
.Geno has angst and Spider-Man 2099 vibes
.Bowser’s past is explored more
Cast:
The original cast returns and has some new additions:
Daisy: Hailee Steinfield (Notable Roles: Spider-Gwen from Spider-Verse, Vi from Arcane, and Kate Bishop from Hawkeye) or Jenna Ortega (Wednesday Addams, Brooklynn from Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, and Tara Carpenter from Scream.)
Wario: Danny DeVito (Notable Roles: Phil from Hercules, Harry Wormwood from Matilda, and The Penguin from Batman Returns)
Waluigi: Willem Dafoe (Notable Roles: Green Goblin from Spider-Man and Ryuk from Death Note)
Geno: Benedict Cumberbatch (Notable Roles: Doctor Strange, The Grinch, and Smaug from The Hobbit.)
Arceus the Alpha Pokémon: Mel Brooks (Notable Roles: Vlad Dracula from Hotel Transylvania, Bigweld from Robots, and Governor William Le Petomane from Blazing Saddles)

Did someone mention Jurassic Park? Have you seen Camp Cretaceous? It is such a better sequel to Jurassic World than Fallen Kingdom or Dominion (In my personal opinion, like Fallen Kingdom was fine but the character development in Dominion didn't follow from either of the previous movies, you're ask box isn't necessarily the place for this rant though)
Ask boxes here are really meant for anything, don’t sweat.
I haven’t seen much Jurassic park actually, only the original and the first reboot.
Despite them being inaccurate, 03 has probably watched them all and has 200 page documents analysing each of them and correcting the inaccuracies (and maybe 3000 words or so dedicated to how cool a T. rex is). Even if the movie is bad he still watches it out of “loyalty to the dinosaurs”

Fanfiction Commissions Open!!
Random AU? Reader fic? Some trope you like but no one's ever done it with your comfort ship? A cursed, unhinged crossover no one has done? Whatever it is, I can handle it!
Pricing: $1 per 300 words. (Currency: United States Dollar)
Payment Method: ko-fi or Paypal, depending on your comfort levels.
Time Frame: Unless there are extenuating circumstances, or you want a commission above 10k words, I guarantee you I will finish your commission in a week.
Specialties: -Crossovers, angst, fluff, and everything in between. Romance, friendship, and queerplatonic relationships are all on the table. -I have done extensive research on chronic pain, blindness, and a bunch of conditions that would require mobility aids, but have personal experience with neurodivergent conditions, hearing loss, and epilepsy. -Complicated thoughts on religion, culture, internalized ableism, and sexual/gender identity are all things I am equipped to write as well.
Maybes: -Smut. Describe what you're looking for, and I'll decide whether I'm up for it. Might charge extra £3 depending on the request.
Hard Nos: -Abusive relationships being romanticized (I'll do regular abuse if that's what you want, but it won't be romanticized.) -A minor with an adult. Or sexual content with children in general. -Outright homophobia, transphobia, and other hateful content. (If its shown to be a problem the main character faces, or doubts, that's okay, but the writing itself should not led credence to these awful things.)
Posting: Depending on what you prefer, I can send it to you privately, post it on Tumblr, or on my AO3. If you go for a public posting, you get to choose if your name is publicly pointed out.
DM me if you're interested!!
I have a lot of fandoms I'm involved in, so sixty seven of them are being listed below the cut, but if you don't see the fandom of your choice there, just ask if I've heard of it in the DMs and I probably will have. If I haven't, I'll probably watch it free of charge to get a feel for the characters.

Okay. I talked a bit of the live action Monster High designs, and now we have our first looks at the new animated series looks. Let's go in to them.
And I'm gonna be more positive about these ones. Mostly because they look better then the live action designs. And I'm tired of being negative about everything.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gabrielle Nevaeh Green (That Girl Lay Lay) as Clawdeen Wolf – Half-human and half-werewolf, Clawdeen is thrilled to join Monster High, despite the challenge of being a half-monster in a school of full-monster students.
Okay. Let's start with Clawdeen. Half human, Half werewolf. So 75% human and 25% wolf. Yet this is the most Wolf like Clawdeen has ever looked. Changes to her character aside, I do love her nose and ears. If only she had a tail and the design would be almost perfect. But the changes to her personality still keep her down.
Overall, I'm giving this a 7/10. There's really nothing wrong with it. I'm just not a fan of the new personality. And the dumb half human thing. That doesn't make sense.
Courtney Lin (Crash: The Animated Series) as Draculaura – The daughter of Dracula, vampire Draculaura seems like the perfect dictionary definition of a monster. But she hides a deep desire to become a witch, which is strictly forbidden in the monster world.
Farewell to Debi Derryberry's iconic performance as Draculaura. You will be missed.
Still not the biggest fan of the two-tone hair. But this does look better then the live action. I also love her hat. It keeps her protected from the sun as a vampire, and the spider web pattern? Love it. Still iffy on the Witch thing. Maybe if it was just a taboo for vampires specifically to become witches, because of some sort of feud maybe, it would work better.
6.5/10. Could use more black in her color scheme.
Tumblr media
Iris Menas (West Side Story) as Frankie Stein – Brought to life just 15 days ago by their scientist parents, Frankie is figuring out who they are and who they want to be.
Frankie is still the best part of this entire reboot. They're just, so much better then their original counterpart. Yeah i said it. OG Frankie was bland. Her personality trait was that she kept getting a new boyfriend every 5 minutes.
Design wise they look pretty good. But their color scheme is a bit of a mess. Bright blues, that yellowy green, neon pink. It's a lot but at the same time it does fit Frankie. Of course the person that's still figuring themselves out has an uncoordinated color scheme.
8/10.
Tumblr media
Tony Revolori (Spider-Man: No Way Home) as Deuce Gorgon – The son of Medusa and Lyra, Deuce is often influenced by the snakes that live on his head and get him into trouble.
I'm gonna say it. Deuce looks the best out of all of them. Take notes live action. Scales! Scales on his clothes. Not camo. And actual sunglasses! And he has snakes! Actual snakes! And they're so expressive! I can see them getting Deuce in trouble. Also I need Deuce to have a bad hair day that's just the snakes fighting each other.
But who is Lyra? I don't know enough about Greek mythology to know who that is. Until I know, I'm just imagining Lyra Heartstrings from MLP.
9/10. It would be 10/10 if he didn't have sleeves.
Tumblr media
Kausar Mohammed (Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous) as Cleo De Nile – Cleo is a mummy monster who knows she is destined for greatness--if only everyone else would just admit it and get out of her way.
She actually has dark skin. Wow. Didn't know they had it in them. And wrappings. She's an actual mummy. Not just an Egyptian girl.
Though there's something off. That blue. It is her blue. But in the original it was more of an accent. Here it dominates her design. And there's barely any gold in her hair. I'm not so sure about this design.
5/10.
Tumblr media
Alexander Polinsky (Blaze and the Monster Machines) as Heath Burns – Temperamental and passionate as the son of Hades would be, Heath is quite literally a hot head who can get worked up over anything and is prone to fiery outbursts.
If you don't have anything nice to say. Don't say anything at all. So let's keep this short.
No.
Let's make it longer.
Why?! What did they do to him?!
Okay, there's a simple fix. Either make his hair more red or, (can't believe I'm saying this) lighten his skin to be more pale yellow. Make a better separation between his head and his hair. That way it looks more like Heath, and less like Bart Simpson on fire.
And Hades?! What? Did they didn't do their research? Did they only watch the Disney version? Fire isn't Hades' element! It's earth! (If I remember correctly) and if he's the son of Hades, where did his last name come from?
And the Hothead personality. Really? That wasn't the pun with Heath's original personality. He was a Wannabe Hotshot! Not Hothead! If they wanna give Deuce a best friend, connect him to Greek mythology and have him be a Hothead, Manny Tuar would be a much better choice!
-5/10.
Tumblr media
Valeria Rodriguez (To Your Eternity) as Lagoona Blue – Having grown up in an ancient underwater Mayan Castillo with her ocean nymph mother and sea monster father, sweet yet ferocious Lagoona doesn't know much about life on land.
General consensus about Lagoona is that the design is good, and the personality is fun. But it's not Lagoona Blue. She's not even blue! From here on out, we will not be referring to her as Lagoona. This, is Lulu.
So Lulu looks fun. Her design is pretty good for a sea monster. And it's interesting that of all the things to keep from the original is her status as Hybrid between a Nymph and a Sea Monster.
So Lulu gets a 6/10. Lagoona gets a 1/10.
Tumblr media
Alexa Kahn (Madagascar: A Little Wild) as Toralei Stripe – hailing from an elite monster family, Toralei is a werecat and the "bad girl" at Monster High. Old fashioned and brave, Toralei is committed to her cause of preserving monster society.
So Toralei is back. Nice surprise. Especially since she got spared from the Live Action treatment.
I don't hate this design. But there's some ways to improve her. First, change the purple to black. Second, her orange seems to lean towards yellow instead of red. Just slide her orange hue just a bit to red and she'd be great.
8/10.
Tumblr media
Debra Wilson (Baby Shark's Big Show!) as Headmistress Bloodgood – The headless overseer of the school, Headmistress Bloodgood has a proclivity for wandering around at night to keep an eye on the students.
Was the picture of Debra Wilson staring into my soul necessary? They couldn't pick a different picture? This doesn't flatter her.
Anyway, Bloodgood. Well she's certainly not Bloodbad. She looks great. Still wish her color scheme was a bit darker though. And was so hard for the live action to have the same belt as this one? Why did go with a boring ribbon? This looks way better!
9/10.
And that's it. That's all we know. Seems Abbey and Ghoulia are sidelined once again. Clawd and Howleen still don't exist. At least, not as Clawdeen's siblings. And there was a leak of what dolls are coming and Twyla was on it. So we can expect to see her.
I'm cautiously optimistic about all this. It looks better then the movie, though thats not a high bar to reach.
We'll just have to see what happens.

Hey what fandoms do you like, I got some ideas for Azula crossovers and want to see if there any of them would work for you.
Well...I do have a few fic ideas at the moment that I'm working on and I haven't quite gotten to the idea of working on multiple fics at once, but I could give some series that I like.
Pokemon: This was the show I remember growing up on. And ultimately the one that would get me into fanfiction to begin with. My first proper fanfiction was a continuation of Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness that ran for 42 chapters over the course of two years. I'm actually pretty proud of that one.
Naruto: I remember playing the Ultimate Ninja Storm video games and getting hooked on the setting and the characters. I...will admit I did write a few one-shots and I do have an idea for an eventual longfic. I kind of want to focus on my Godzilla/ATLA crossover at the moment, but that's an idea that's on the drawing board.
Alien: I am of the personal belief that the Xenomorph is one of the best movie monsters ever put to film. I'm a huge fan of the first two movies, I read some of the old books, and Alien: Isolation is one of my favorite horror games out there.
Mass Effect: Fell in love with the original trilogy, especially how they handled the worldbuilding and all the various well-thought-out alien races and factions. The characters are extremely likable and developed, and stuff like the deradicalization of the Krogan and the conflict with the Geth are some of my favorite plots in video games in recent years.
Jurassic Park: The first movie has to be one of my favorite films of all time. I read both of the original novels. Played through both Operation Genesis and the first Evolution game. I...unfortunately haven't had the pleasure of watching Camp Cretaceous but I've heard a ton of good reception for that series so it is on the list. The World trilogy I...have mixed feelings on. Loved the first one, didn't really like the second on, initially liked the third one but my opinion sort of soured over time.
And that's a few series I'm into. As for Azula, I'm sort of going to stick with The Monsters We Create for the moment, but there is this idea at the back of my mind that I keep coming back to. It's another crossover like you suggested, but this one would be a crossover with Dinotopia which I've talked about twice on my account. It's the book series turned mini-series about a peaceful society where dinosaurs and humans coexist. And I thought it would be interesting to throw a post-canon Azula into that mix and see what happens.
Anyways that's all I got. Feel free to share some of your ideas.

Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous
Corrupt Darius AU idea
Warning: This AU idea is mostly focused on Darius and a more corrupt and insane version of him. I also apologize if I offend any fans of this character.
Basically, the story is that Darius would start to lose his interest/love in dinosaurs following his dad’s death and start obsessing over making friends to help him cope and also gaining symptoms of Apathy Syndrome.
That was in December, 2015, he would discover the Jurassic World video game that started his journey to Camp Cretaceous. He eventually won and got to the camp on Isla Nublar.
There, he met emo athlete, Yasmina Fadoula; Bratty internet girl, Brooklynn; Rich boy, Kenji Kon; Farm girl, Sammy Gutierrez; and germaphobe, Ben Pincus.
The days that passed, the campers started becoming best friends, with Yasmina asking Kenji for dating advice thanks to her crush on Sammy, and Brooklynn teaching Darius how to make the Windsor Knot. That was…until the Indominus Rex attacked.
When the camp was destroyed, Darius’s mental health began to deteriorate due to everyone starting to argue, dinosaurs breaking loose, and also Sammy revealed to be an assassin/spy for Mantah Corp.
The events of the show following “Welcome to Jurassic World” still happen except for in Season 2, when Darius, Sammy, and Brooklynn were getting food and freeing dinosaurs…Two baryonyxes, Chaos and Limbo, attacked and when Brooklynn attempted to climb up the cage that Darius and Sammy were on, her hand slipped out of Darius’s and she is killed by Chaos. The campers mourn Brooklynn and then discover two campers, Mitch and Tiff, and also Ben is alive. After Darius finds out the two adults are poachers, Tiff shoots Sammy and kills her. During the dinosaur stampede, Yasmina dies since she couldn’t get out of her jeep in time and was crushed. In a fit of rage, Darius kills both Mitch and Tiff, and also lights their boat on fire.
With all the girls dead, the boys head back home to camp to mourn. Weeks later in March, 2016, Ben discovers Darius strangling Kenji and is too late. Ben is horrified but Darius only smiles seeing how it’s only him and Ben standing.
He then reveals that most of the deaths that they witnessed were caused by him. He reveals that he dropped Brooklynn on purpose because “she was a bitch,” and also sent a compy to eat the gas cords on Yasmina’s jeep since he believed that no one would care that he “shaved a few years off a stressed athlete’s existence and also Yaz and Sammy are together in Heaven,” and also he had plans to kill Sammy but Mitch and Tiff ruined those plans.
Ben realizes that Darius is insane from his obsession to make his Camp Cretaceous experience perfect, have life-lasting friends, and also his dad’s death. Ben calls Darius a psychopath and then fights him…but Darius wins the fight by snapping Ben’s neck. He also killed Bumpy some point later on.
However, there was still a part of him that values his friends, so he took parts of his friends so they could be part of him, literally. The parts that he gained from them were Ben’s Fanny pack, Kenji’s watch, Brooklynn’s jacket (that he wears), Yaz’s shoe that he used one of his shoelaces to tie the shoe to Ben’s Fanny pack, and also Sammy’s headband that he now wears.
Months later in June, Darius is revealed to have gone completely insane and also the items of his friends show to have some decay to them. It was that he was in the genetics lab, getting ready to get some more food until he discovered a forbidden project that Dr. Wu was originally going to use: Project Janus.
Project Janus was a project that allowed the scientists to travel through time and space to other dimensions. Wu originally intended to use this to travel through a multiverse and find dinosaurs to bring to his dimension, but Claire shut the project down and fired Wu but not before letting him finish the Indominus Rex.
Darius, now learning about the concept of alternate universes, abandons the universe that this AU takes place in and is learning how to make his own universe…
“I told you…I’M YOUR BEST FRIEND!!” Corrupt Darius to a currently unknown person.

SPOILERS FOR JURASSIC WORLD DOMINION
So. I’ve seen the movie. I didn’t love it. I didn’t hate it. The thing is, in my personal opinion, the script was awful. Everything seemed super convoluted and convient (ex. Kayla finding Claire in Malta and helping her and Owen), parts of it were unnecessary (as much as I loved the Malta scene, it didn’t seem to fit to me, that first scene with Zia and Franklin??) and a lot of it was really forced (ex. the characters meeting up in the end?)
To me, the way they brought back Ian, Alan and Ellie didn’t work (again, seemed forced and unrealistic), and they could have gotten better use out of the villains. Aside for maybe Dodgson, they all seemed cartoon-y, which is usual for JW films.
The dinosaurs:
They did not appear in the film as much as I would have liked! However, I realize that may be harder since it’s on the scale of the entire world, instead of one island. I did also like a lot of the designs (the pyroraptor in particular and the therizinosaurus) and I thought the Giga was cool. Again, the fight at the end seemed forced, but it was kinda cool.
All that being said, there were parts that I did like:
- Living for the Clawen moments
- Loved having the original trio back, as much as I thought it felt forced
- Kayla?? YES. LOVED HER.
- Ramsay?? YES. LOVED HIM.
- Alan and Ellie kiss at the end? Unexpected but welcomed.
I also want to briefly talk about the subtle hints to Camp Cretaceous:
- The underground dinosaur fights could potentially be run by Mantah Corp.
- Though I didn’t look too hard, I’m sure Bumpy popped up somewhere (I’ll have to look out for her next time)
- The signals that Ramsay was telling Alan and Ellie about?? That give shocks to the dinosaurs’ brains to tell them what to do?? Mae Turner’s research??
- The Barbasol can?? Dodgson has it, and it’s in the Season 5 trailer, so I’m sure we’ll find out how it comes into his possession
As much as Dominion disappointed me, it did deliver on some aspects and it did make me excited for Season 5 of Camp Cretaceous. Now I’m anxiously waiting for July 21st!
Anyway, I know this was long and if you read the entire thing, thank you. These are just my thoughts and I had to get them off my chest.

So, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous’s fifth and final season has finally dropped (unfortunately to relatively little fanfare, as it had the ill fortune to drop literally days before The Sandman), and now we can look back on this strange little oddity of a series. I mean, there had been talks of doing some kind of YA Jurassic Park show ever since The Lost World (anyone else remember Chaos Effect?), but despite the series’s omnipresence and enduring popularity, it took them this long to just up and make one, so it deserves credit for just existing. But by the same token, there was a lot of question on whether or not it would actually be good, given the reputation of the overwhelming bulk of the movies’ themselves.
As for me? When it was announced, I was…skeptical. Look, all of my regular followers already know this about me, but if you found this post from the tags, then I’ll just say this up front. The first movie is my favorite movie of all time, but I don’t think any of the sequels are good. There are scenes, characters, and ideas I like from the sequels, but taken as complete products they range from meh to infuriating for me. So I wasn’t exactly falling over myself to jump into a show for kids from a franchise that had disappointed me so often.
But thank God, we had a Clone Wars situation, in that Camp Cretaceous turned out to be…actually pretty good! In fact, I’ll go ahead and say this: it is the second best piece of film media in the JP franchise, and side from the original movie, the only other good one. I mean, it’s not perfect of course. There are definite issues, especially when it relates to the various villains (more on that later), but overall I quite enjoyed the first three seasons, watching these six kids from largely differing backgrounds and personalities get thrown together, not like each other very much at first, only to grow and develop as they confront their own flaws and insecurities to mature into a fully rounded family, with season three especially turning in a great product and what I considered to be a fitting finale for the show.
So you can imagine my surprise when I found out that despite them finally getting off the island, there were more seasons to come.
That was odd. Like, where could they go? Isla Sorna? That’s what I was expecting and hoping for. But in hindsight, I understand why they left Site B out. At this point, it would just be more of the same, and in canon Masarani had already basically stripmined Sorna for assets for Jurassic World, so it would have even less for them to do.
But the choice that they did decide to go with was, um, interesting. So let’s talk about season four.
Gonna be honest, I was pretty put off by just how different and out there season four was. Like, it wasn’t bad. The writing, characterization, and plot were still pretty solid, but it was just so weird compared to what had come before. Like, I know this show takes place a few years in the future, so things like the robots, biomes, holograms, and mind-control chips aren’t improbable, and Jurassic Park was already a science-fiction series, but these elements had never really been featured to any great degree outside of window dressing until now, but now they were put front and center after three seasons of basically teenaged Swiss Family Robinson with dinosaurs. The direction pivoted hard away from the kids surviving dinos and uncovering mysteries (not that those elements ever really went away) to thwarting the machinations of a central villain that we didn’t know existed until now, to the point where it felt like a totally new show at times. Again, it wasn’t badly done, it was just weird.
That having been said, there was a lot to like. Like, it may not be the most realistic thing in the world, but I did like how the kids grew from only Darius caring about the dinosaurs to all of them developing empathy for them and wanting to save them from being exploited, even if their own lives had been endangered by dinosaurs several times. And I don’t know how popular of an opinion this is, but I did actually like Kash as an antagonist. He was basically an updated version of Dennis Nedry, a perfectly detestable caricature of a very specific kind of douchebag. You know this guy says slurs in online games and gets mad that his favorite streamer won’t acknowledge him more despite all the red superchats he sends in. And I’m not sure how realistic it is that Darius was able to manipulate him so easily, but given how egotistical he was I was able to suspend my disbelief in that regard.
Mae was also a surprisingly welcome addition to the cast, given that she had a well-rounded personality and fit in quite well with the kids. It was also nice to see the return of the Spinosaurus and Dilophosaurs, and Big Eatie and Little Eatie were weirdly endearing for a pair of giant carnivores. And as for Brooklynn and Kenji being a thing? Look, I wasn’t rooting for it, but I also didn’t mind that it happened. Those kids had been through enough. Let them have this.
Did not appreciate them killing off a member of the Raptor trio. Like, can we just stop killing Raptors? Please?
So yeah, it was probably my least favorite season, but I respect them for being willing to flip the script and try something new.
That being said, that twist at the end with the reveal of Kenji’s father definitely made me sit up and pay attention, and stoke my interest for the next season. Now, that was a twist!
So now we finally have season five, capping off the series as a whole (again, as far as we know). And, um…
I loved it.
I don’t know, maybe the previous season was necessary to get everything set up and accustom us to the new setting and elements, but everything just came together this season and really worked for me. The peril felt more dangerous, the stakes felt more real, and for the first time the relationships really were threatened. And a large part of what made this season work for me were the Kons.
I’ll admit it, Kenji got on my nerves when he was first introduced. Like, this arrogant, rich-boy bully did not exactly make for pleasant company. But over the last four seasons, we saw him confront his own issues and grow into a genuinely likeable, even heroic guy, turning him from a brat to a big brother.
But now he was suddenly faced with the reason he had been so messed up in the first place. His deeply neglectful father, who had denied him the love and affection he had so desperately needed growing up while filling his head with the need to uphold the family name, was now there, right in front of him.
Look, I’ve been there. I know how it is to be separated from the parent that’s largely responsible for your issues, go through all of this growth as a person, only to see them again and have all of those negative traits come rushing back.
So yeah. I’m not defending him turning his back on the others, but I do understand why. And honestly, my heart really went out to him as he tried so hard to keep his father impressed with him, only to be hurt as Mr. Kon’s abusive behavior came out.
And for as messed up as him controlling the dinosaurs was, Kenji growing sort of attached to Toro was kind of sweet.
As for Mr. Kon himself, I do admit that one major weakness of this show is just how…lacking in depth the villains are. Like, all of them are sociopaths with no reservations about child murder. This was really noticeable with the two Yuppie poachers in season 2, who I have to say where probably the weakest part about that season, as they just seemed to be there to act as obstacles. Also, Wu was basically a Saturday morning cartoon villain, and Kash? Well, Kash was fun, but he was also stupidly evil. Like, he just straight up tried to murder Mr. Kon over a slight! That’s stupid!
(though on a side-note, was anyone surprised by how quickly Kash was killed off? He was the Big Bad of season 4, and it looked like he had his own agenda, but he get nommed fairly unceremoniously only after a few episodes in season 5)
And sad to say, Mr. Kon, his mercenaries (hi, Hawkes. Barely remember you), and his investors have the same issue going on. I know they’re all bad, corrupt people, but all of them being totally okay with child murder, and even enjoying it? It stood out.
However, Mr. Kon worked so much better than the others, because unlike the poachers or Kash, there was a personal connection to the kids, specifically Kenji. And by taking him away, it made things personal with the rest. Plus, given that he runs Mantah Corp, that also makes him the cause for all of Sammy’s troubles, so that’s even more reason for him to take his place as the series’s final boss.
That being said, I don’t care for how his business was wrapped up. Like, he got arrested offscreen. Okay.
Look, either show him getting arrested, or let him get eaten! He’s the final boss, we deserve to see his demise!
Though hey, one complaint I did have in past seasons is us dealing with Mantah Corp instead of BioSyn, Like, we already have an evil genetics company to fill that role, one that’s been around since the original book. Why create a new one?
Well, now we finally get BioSyn! And not only that, we have friggin’ Lewis Dodgson here, the original main villain of the franchise! And here acting much closer to his book self than the Steve Jobs-esque depiction in Dominion! That was a treat, and it made this 90’s JP fan smile.
Him just finding the shaving cream can could have been done better, though. Like, he just randomly found it here? Really?
Though I will say that one advantage of making all the villains so sociopathically evil, we don’t feel bad about them getting eaten. Like, wow. A lot of people got chomped this season. I know a few people were upset how the kids basically set up Mantah Corp’s investors to die, but given how cool they were with child murder before that, I really can’t be all that bothered. Like, it was uncomfortable in the Lost World when the hunters were basically just guys hired to grab dinos to stick into a zoo, so the heroes ensuring their deaths to save the dinosaurs really felt wrong. But these guys I really didn’t feel sorry for. Like, at all. So maybe that’s the reason for how evil they uniformly were.
Speaking of which, I know saving the dinosaurs has been a major part of this franchise for a long, long time, but they definitely hammered that drum really hard here. And it worked a lot better here then it did in certain other franchises. I’m pretty sure the only dinosaur we saw die this season was that one Dilophosaurus. And I was keeping track, so I’m pretty sure that that big final dino fight, which was absolutely ridiculous but yet so very cool, didn’t end up with any dino casualties at all. Which, okay, does stretch credibility, since the non-controlled dinos were not holding back and yet none of them died at all. But hey, kid’s show. Kids loved dinosaurs. And they made us feel bad to the mind-controlled dinos, so it would be a downer to off one of them.
And yeah, I admit that I did gasp out loud with the Spino downed Big Eatie. Congrats, that got a genuine emotional reaction out of me. Though when they focused on her still moving, I knew she was going to come back for the big save. It does stretch the bounds of my suspension of disbelief a bit more that after taking a seemingly fatal blow from an already established T-Rex killer she was just fine minutes later, but eh, I’ll let it slide.
Also, thank you for not killing anymore Raptors this season, because again, y’all really need to pull back from that trend!
The bits with Darius’s brother and the camp counselors did feel out of place and kind of ground the narrative momentum to a halt whenever they showed up. I get that the writers wanted to establish that they were actively looking for the kids so Mae had someone to pick her up and so that them showing up at the end wouldn’t feel too convenient, but it was really out of place. Still, it’s not at all a dealbreaker and I’m not sure how I would have done it instead, so it didn’t bother me too much, I just kind of rolled my eyes a little whenever they would show up.
And okay, let’s talk about the BIG thing, the thing I haven’t really mentioned at all but is the thing that anyone knows anything about me is probably waiting for me to address.
Tumblr media
Why, yes. Yes, thank you very much.
Now granted, it’s no Lumity, it’s not even Catradora, but the times are what they are, so while I’d prefer they not wait until the very last few episodes and would like for them to have more focus post-hookup, I get it, and it was still cute as hell. Yeah, I know, it wasn’t at all important to the plot and could’ve been removed entirely without changing anything, but shut up, it still made me happy. Because they are cute as hell.
And as for everyone who says it was rushed and didn’t have any buildup at all…did y’all see the last few seasons? I mean, they had WAY more relationship building and chemistry than Kenji and Brooklynn did, and while I get that relationship isn’t most people’s favorite either, I’m just saying that it makes sense. And it was, I repeat, cute as hell.
And yes. Yes, that epilogue did give me warm, fuzzy feelings. I’m glad that the kids are doing all right. I’m glad that they’re still close. I’m glad that Kenji got adopted by Darius’s family, that Yas and Sammy are still together and Yas deliberately went to school in Texas to be closer to her girlfriend, that Ben now gets to take care of dinosaurs fulltime (though yo, why’d your eyes change color, bro?), that Brooklynn is now sleuthing fulltime, that Darius is a well-respected public speaker who has a problem with responding to the comments of his videos. I’m glad that they’re home, happy, and are all better people for all that they went through.
This was a fun show. Not perfect, it had its ups and downs, but the ups far outweighed the downs, and I had a really fun time watching it. And given what a jaded Jurassic Park fan I am, this was very much a balm to my cynical soul.
I liked this one. I liked it a lot. And while I’m glad that it had a definite ending, I’m gonna miss it.
Now let’s hope that whatever new series they have going on (I have heard that they’re cooking something up) is just as good.

REWRITE + CHANGES
After looking back at my past 3 posts about my spin off, I changed some things so we shall being now.
1. Everything you need to now
The place takes place on planet Earth but with new modern technology. In a town called Porkbelly, every kind of scientists made new and old animals and hybrids were successfully created and released in wild or on display. Larger dinosaurs are used for public transport or to carry heavy items. Owning one of the dinosaurs is legal but selling them in the black market or physically abusing them is illegal. The main characters AKA Victorious 4 ( Johnny, Dukey, Susan and Mary) with they're new power will try and save the town from any danger. They're powers come from a necklace with a small crystal on front (comes in different colors depending on the element). It is rare to someone being a dual type rather than solo.
2. Characters
The list of characters who own these necklaces:
Johnny (Lighting and Fire)
Sissy (Lighting)
Bling Bling Bling (Eugene) (Light)
Brain Freezer (Ice)
The reason why Susan and Mary don't have them is because they are working with other scientists in another sanctuary to bring extinction animals back to life or help to create hybrids.
With that being said now it's time for the characters based personalities ( WARNING, those who are not mentioned relatively stay the same):
Johnny ( More like his season 1 personality but with more mature side, Blitzo Helluva Boss, Darius Camp Cretaceous)
Susan (Vaggie Hazbin Hotel)
Mary (Charlie Morningstar Hazbin Hotel, Millie Helluva Boss)
Zizrar (Angel Dust Hazbin Hotel)
Brain Freezer ( Foolscap Dinosaur King, Fizzarolli Helluva Boss, Kenji Camp Cretaceous)
The list of characters who are either heros or villains:
Johnny (hero)
Dukey (hero)
Susan (hero)
Mary (hero)
Bling Bling Boy (Eugene) (anti hero)
Tupi (hero)
Blitz (hero)
Edna (hero)
River (hero)
Ember (hero)
Vex (enemy)
Devil (enemy)
Silver (frenemy)
Mr Mittens (enemy)
Wacko (enemy)
Dark Vegan (enemy)
Zizrar (enemy later rival)
Brain Freezer (enemy later anti hero)
Mr Black and Mr White (hero)
The general (hero)
Sissy (hero,love interest)
Gil Nextdoor (hero)
3. Theme
The main themes in this spin off will be:
History - characters will learn more about the Earth's history from scratch and how this magnificent creatures ruled this world
Trust - there will be some of Johnny's foes who will try to work with Johnny, although he wouldn't trust them, he will most likely do it just for his family's sake and learn more about teamwork
Love - love doesn't come from just kiss or hugs, it comes in all different forms, shapes and sizes and self love is one fo them though the characters will have a hard time understanding and earning it
4. Changes
Yes the moment you been looking for. There were some changes after looking back at my past 3 posts. Those are:
Susan and Mary no longer have powers, it's because of them still working as scientists in they're lab or in a sanctuary helping other scientists working on new creatures and hybrids
While originally the spin off was going to take place in a similar planet like Earth, now canonically it is on Earth but in more alternative version of it and the city
Originally dinosaurs were supposed to either be on display or in the wild, now they are used as public transport, display or still roam freely in the wild
Johnny and others will try to protect the elemental orbs from villains but there will be sometimes that they still just battle they're foes or interact with them in general without going after the orbs.
Devil doesn't have siblings
Silver is still traumatized after the incident with Apex predators and with humans because of physical abuse. She has little to no trust in them
Vex is trained to be a weapon and was used for military purposes, but he hasn't worked for the general ever
Dukey was trained as a bodyguard for Johnny
Bling Bling Boy and Gil work as weapon creators
Brain Freezer used to be inmute to ice, although he can resist colder temperatures and heavy snow storms, he can still get imprisoned by his own element
As for dinosaurs there will be mixture of inaccurate and accurate (either they're designs ect.)
Accurate dinosaurs
Velociraptor
Carnotaurus
Atrociraptor
Spinosaurus
Torvosaurus
Allosaurus
Ceratosaurus
Stegosaurus
Triceratops
Diabloceratops
Parasaurolophus
Edmontosaurus
Cryolophosaurus
Artic Troodontid
Nanuqsaurus
Yutryannus
Lythronax (might have spelled it wrong)
Iguanodon
Pachyrinosaurus
Apatosaurus
Camarasaurus
Diplodocus
Imperobator
Austroraptor
Utahraptor
Dakotaraptor
Baryonyx
Concavenator
Suchominus
Icthyovenator
Microraptor
Sinosauroptheyx
Deinochirus
Celophysis
Eoraptor
Herrasaurus
Dilophosaurus
Acrocanothosaurus
Irritator
Inaccurate dinosaurs
Tyranosaurus Rex
Moros Interpedus
Ankylosaurus
Gojirasaurus
Therizinosaurus
Giganotosaurus
Pyroraptor
Atrociraptor (Dominion)
Reptiles
Pteranodon (accurate)
Dimorphodon (inaccurate)
Plesiosaur (accurate)
Mosasaur (accurate)
Quetzalcoatlus (accurate)
Hatzegopteryx (accurate)
Kronasaurus (accurate)
Sarchosuchus (accurate)
Deinosuchus (accurate)
Bonus
My spin off is to try and make this show better and likeable then before (not saying it was bad) and improve characters writing unlike in the show. Sometimes there will be from action and funny moments to emotional and traumatizing moments (much like Helluva Boss)
The spin off includes strong language, major gore and topics such as PTSD, depression and such.
Inspirations: Helluva Boss, Hazbin Hotel, Dinosaur King, Starters
That's all for today! Stay tuned for more content!❄️🦖
