Viridistan, the City State of the World Emperor (map approx 34x22", Judges Guild 1980, 1982 printing). The three books of this campaign setting include hundreds of brief entries describing shops, taverns, temples, and palace inhabitants, as well as the customs of the land and nearby monster lairs.

Spent a while creating my map for my homebrew campaign. Each square is a half days travel, each larger square has a point of interest visible on the map and 2 more that are to be discovered.
I also have extracts of maps to hand out after being discovered in loot, some reveal secret items, others features which have changed in the years since the map was originally created.

| 2023 | DnD | Legends of Thaldra | Unfinished Inesvaer Map ||
A world is too big a place to start, even a continent is quite the task to create, but a continent is far more achievable in the start, and so Inesvaer was created. Though the continental map is still unfinished, this is its start.
The world of Thaldra is vast and greatly unknown even to its inhabitants. It is a world that died and grew from the bones and ash left in the wake of the Schism. Whatever world existed before the gods went to war is gone. Whatever history and memory existed before Ruination is left as little more than scattered remnants across the lands with a people who do not understand them.
And now the gods are gone. Betrayed by one of their own and ripped violently from their creation. In the silence, the world was left to rebuild and start again. The short history of Thaldra as the world is now known, is filled with bloodshed, arcana, and chaos. The people as divided as their absent creators. But the world did rebuild. And when contact was finally made with the gods so forcefully removed from their world, it was distant and the world had found a way to live without them even as they clung to the memory.
And within Thaldra, rests a continent more divided than most. Inesvaer is a land of extremes, its northern divide eclipsed in an endless night, its southern divide thriving in the sun, with a band of land caught inbetween in an endless dusk.
The divides have spent their history at odds and within conflict. But even in tenuous times of peace, the lands have fallen to war and territory disputes that keep it divided even amongst itself.
Sanctuary cities rise from the godscarred lands and vicious wilds like bastions of hope in a world still trying to snuff out what's left of life. And though you cannot see their borders, they are there. Ever shifting, ever changing until cultures and people have mixed and risen and fallen throughout history.

Ronan archipelago
A part of the Inish Archipelago, this cluster of islands is well known for its dangerous waters, active volcanoes and lately, an open rebellion by admiral Rona Nepe.
This is a campaign map for a new solo adventure I'm preparing for my partner, so there will be a lot more coming about this region.
With names taking inspiration from the Maori people of Oceania, and the culture and gods yet to be determined, I'm thinking of making the central conflicts of this region be: dangerous waters vs safe harbours, pirates vs government and anarchy vs opression.
There are good chances I'm going to be using this region in another campaign, because pirate adventure are PEAK. Plus there is just so much works you can steal from, One Piece, Pirates of the Caribbean, Our Flag Means Death, even hacker stuff you can put in as comic relief if your group is into that. Playing as Julianus Assangus, Bard of the College of Secrets, who is on the run from the government because he's uncovering their lies could be very fun.
I have also made a hexagonal map because there will be a lot of traveling with survival mechanics between ports, so accurate distance measurement will be important.
One hex is 24 miles. Which means:
One hex is 8 hours of walking (or one day with long rest and sleeping)
Two hexes is 24 hours of sailing under average weather in a sailing ship(with a speed of 3mph)
On second thought, I realized this scale is nonsensical for island sizes and the distances between archipelago Islands. So the actual grid is going to look like this probably:

watching the sdcc panel and i am just very :) about how sweet their answers to “what are some of the micro moments from the game that have stuck with you the most over the years?” are. taliesin saying what the fuck is up with that which was the first like The Party Gets To Know Each Other moments of c3. travis saying asking his wife if he could kiss her in campaign. marisha going way back to the cannonball competition in campaign one. ashley choosing the beauyasha date but also just the silly goat noise matt made. liam adding onto that to compliment matt roleplaying grass so well and then saying his favourite moment was writing a story for laura and reading it to her as caleb for jester. and then matt saying that was his answer, and that his favourite moments of the game are when they find ways to give gifts to each other whether tangible or not. and sam saying his favourite moments have less to do with the story and is more so when he can just. see his friends across the table from him. when marisha perches and when laura and ashley are (badly) drawing dicks and liam saying he loves when sam sneezes and ashley tells him to stop it and just. yeah. they Are an extremely popular online powerhouse, but i’m so happy that they’re also friends building a world together out of gifts to and love for one another.
like i Am so enamoured with the characters and the world of exandria but the moments when you can feel the love that those people have for each other reach out from behind the stained glass of their performances (to steal a metaphor from brennan lee mulligan) are so extremely special and i am endlessly grateful that they decided to share their silly little home game with the world.

Behold, my artistic interpretation of a map of Decked Out 2, Level 1: The Frozen Crypt
And of course, that room underneath as well:
I'm not an artist, but I do like making maps on occasion. I literally couldn't stop myself this time. So enjoy.
Yes, I'm aware it's not a perfect 100% replica of the lay-out (especially the tunnels), but it never would've been and I like how it turned out.
Made using inkarnate.
