𝓒𝓪𝓵𝓵𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓒𝓪𝓶𝓹 𝓕𝓪𝓶! 𝓒𝓸𝓶𝓮 𝓸𝓷𝓮, 𝓬𝓸𝓶𝓮 𝓪𝓵𝓵!!
You, yes you! Are you a fan of Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous or any of the Jurassic World or Park movies? Do you love dinosaurs and wish you could see them up close and personal, minus the threat (hopefully)? Then this post is for you!!
With Chaos Theory coming out, the Camp Cretaceous fandom has risen again and I am absolutely all for it! And if you're like me and weren't very satisfied with how they ended it or did the 4th and 5th seasons then you'll want to hear this! I'm opening a community and roleplay server that welcomes the entire Jurassic fandom and will be focusing on my AU, Corrupted Files!
What is Corrupted Files you may ask? Well let me tell you! Corrupted Files is, in my opinion, how Camp Cretaceous should have played out, leaving the campers stranded on the island for three years until Owen, Claire, and their team returned to Isla Nublar in 2018 in the hopes of rescuing the dinosaurs from the doomed island (only to find some feral but capable teenagers who everyone thought were dead)! This AU will explore the harsh realities of island life, the unresolved traumas that the campers face (like Ben not even being looked for and just accepting it, like huh??), and even a hybrid or two that Dr. Wu left behind as well!
Original characters are more than welcome and there will even be slots open for more campers if anyone is interested! If you wish to join the roleplay aspect of this server you will also be given the ability to roleplay a dinosaur as well, whether it be Blue herself or a completely new character that the public hasn't seen due to leaping forth from your own imagination! All canon characters are playable as well, meaning that ships, headcanons, etc are up to you!!
We hope to make this a great experience and community going forward into Chaos Theory and we can't wait to have you! Please share this around as much as you want and feel free to reach out to me via comments, dms, etc if you are interested in joining! The server offers many options for those not interested in roleplay as well such as general discussion channels for theories and such, art and writing channels, giveaways (including Discord nitro and a ton of other fun prizes), and much more!
Additionally, there is a Spinoraptor (complete with a two packmates/siblings) is up for grabs as a soft adopt of sorts to those who join! New members will be offered a welcome package as well if they wish with a surprise inside (until Chaos Theory is released).
We can't wait to have you!! <3
Will Darius have to lead all alone, even as their way to get home is destroyed, and it's obvious the pressure is getting to him? Will Ben ever let on to how he's truly feeling and how being abandoned for months has affected him? Will Yasmina ever regain her confidence or enjoy running again if she's not running for her life? Will Kenji begin to step up as he sees the group begin to fracture and break in their own ways? Can Sammy's upbeat attitude keep everyone afloat as a tropical storm approaches? Can Brooklynn properly adjust to being a normal teenager and learn to rely on others? How will the campers fair when they have more people to rely on and more lives to watch out for? Will they even survive all three years on Isla Nublar?
The choice is yours!

A New Jurassic World Film Is Coming | Jurassic Park 7
According to reputable source The Hollywood Reporter, Jurassic Park 7 is within touching distance – with veteran writer David Koepp having already penned a script for the next outing in the Jurassic Park universe.
The article suggests that Universal may be looking to as early as 2025 for a release of the next instalment – although it is important to note that a director has not yet been found for the film. It does appear that both Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley will return, however – with Stephen Spielberg once again acting as executive producer through Amblin Entertainment.
It is interesting to hear discussion of a sequel to Jurassic World Dominion given that all recent discussion around the cinematic future of the franchise has been relatively stagnant up until this point. Whilst it is true that Jurassic World Chaos Theory and Jurassic Park Survival are around the corner, this is the first concrete discussion we have seen about a sequel to the films.
The prospect of David Koepp writing the film is incredibly exciting – and we’re sure most Jurassic fans would agree that they would love to see another instalment of the franchise guided by his storytelling skill! 1993’s Jurassic Park earned its place in cinema history due in no small part to its fantastic writing and world building.
It’s clear that Koepp knows how to translate Crichton’s signature thriller-style writing to the screen, so the potential that would bring to a post-Dominion story is very compelling.
Whilst there is no indication of the direction of the story which the sequel will tell, it is fair to say that there are a few interesting directions which Koepp could choose to explore. A story which delves deeper into the wider ramifications of dinosaurs in the wild, or perhaps explore more of the murky dino trafficking world which Dominion introduced us to certainly has potential.
For now, it’s safe to say that we are excited to see more happening with this franchise, and will be watching excitedly to see the next steps Universal decide to make with this behemoth of a franchise.
Are you excited that David Koepp may be returning to the franchise? Let us know your thoughts below, and stay tuned to the Jurassic Park Podcast for all the latest news!

Monarch: Legacy Of Monsters – Grounded Storytelling Done Well
(This article has been written after the debut of Episode 6 of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters has debuted, titled ‘The Way Out’. This article contains minor spoilers for all the episodes up until this point)
Monarch: Legacy Of Monsters is a show which I have been feverishly excited for since it was first announced as an upcoming project set to debut on Apple TV. As a young boy, I had always enjoyed shows which brought secret organisations to the forefront in fantastic worlds – loving both Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and the presence of U.N.I.T throughout Doctor Who.
The announcement of this show had me excited for a deep dive into the shady entity known as MONARCH from the films. Would this series expand our understanding of the secret organisation? Would we see more of the Outposts and facilities hinted at in 2014’s Godzilla, and the subsequent Godzilla: King of The Monsters?
Whilst this show has done a fantastic job of exploring who MONARCH are within this universe, it has done something better in my opinion. It has presented us with a grounded, character-driven story within this universe – something I want to reflect on in this piece.
Devastating world events are nothing new. Unfortunately, the world we live in is often shook by devastating events. In films and other creative media, we often see large, grandiose set-pieces which portray this destruction and devastation – but we scarcely ever see the fallout of that havoc. This is where Monarch: Legacy Of Monsters shines.
This series has done a fantastic job of showing us how this world has changed – with small details like posters, graphics and advertisements tying directly into the proliferation of Titans across the Earth, to larger-scale additions like the missile launchers found in Tokyo in Episode 1, or the FEMA resettlement camp and subsequent quarantine area we see in Episode 5.
Not only do these visuals have striking resemblances with our understanding of the real world – the latter particularly provoking images of the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina – but they help to give us, as the audience, a tangible sense of how Titans have changed what the everyday looks like within this world. This lays the foundations for the growth of both MONARCH activity and international collaboration to counter the Titans seen in KOTM.
Alongside this enriching and immersive worldbuilding, we also have deep, emotive stories which directly intertwine the characters who are the vessel for these stories with the events and incidents which have shaped the world in which they inhabit.
Seeing direct, first-person trauma which characters have experienced as a direct result of the events we see on the big screen in the Monsterverse cinematic universe really helps to add emotional weight to these films, and allows much greater insight into how substantial the events we see unfolding on the big screen are.
I have loved seeing how these events have informed so many people’s lives in different ways – leading to our characters making difficult and sometimes dangerous decisions based on their own experiences. This is emotive storytelling done well, and I love how it has become a vessel through which we can explore the real impact that battles of titanic proportions have.
All this is to say – Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is grounded storytelling done well. I love the emotional weight we feel across this story so far, and also have enjoyed seeing how the world has been changed by the G-Day forever. This makes the universe feel real and lived in, and adds so much more depth to the events we see unfolding in Gareth Edward’s film.
Don’t get me wrong – this show IS delivering more about MONARCH. We are beginning to peel back the layers of this mysterious organisation in an exciting narrative which still leaves me with more questions than answers, but for me, the true strength of this series comes in how it creates a world which feels irreversibly changed by Titans.
I hope you have enjoyed this article on a slightly different topic here on The Jurassic Park Podcast. Make sure to check out Brad and I breaking this series down each week on the YouTube channel, and stay tuned for more content in the future!
