Izo and Marco have been on the crew for over 20 years. They are very close due to this fact and Izo feels like he can rely on Marco for anything if needed, no questions asked. The same goes to him, he would easily drop everything to help the other out. 

Out of the two, Izo is actually a bit more reasonable, but Marco is more level headed. Izo will hold Marco back and keep him out of trouble. At the same time Marco will calm Izo down when he is about to burst out. 

Fashion is one of Izo’s strong suits. He is always trying to dress Marco up, along with others in the crew. Sometimes he will make recruit Tomoe in this since he is aware Marco has a weak spot for her. Usually the outfits fit Marco’s aesthetic anyways. 

When everyone thought Izo had passed in Wano, Marco was able to swoop in at the last second to save him. Because of the long time he was out there is still damage to some of his organs that couldn’t be reversed, but Izo is still grateful. Due to his new health and other things, Izo is staying in Wano, but told Marco that if he needs anything he would set sail again to join in.

When Camilla first landed on Redwood she was fairly closed off, by the time she felt comfortable enough socializing, others her age had started avoiding her. Rosa was one of the first people Camilla was able to befriend, and overtime Rosa turned into someone she considers her best friend. 

Part of the reason Camilla wanted to be a pirate was because of her admiration (and slight jealous) whenever she heard stories from Rosa. She actually planned on asking Rosa to take her with her to join her crew. But before that could happen the Strawhats appeared and dragged Camilla along with them. Not that she minds, she views this as her fate and is extremely happy with how things turned out. Now she has her own adventures to tell Rosa. 

While Rosa is older than Camilla, there is just this part of Camilla that wants to spoiler her. She finds Rosa extremely cute and adorable. Yet she is very aware that Rosa is a strong and capable person on her own and doesn’t need babying. It’s just when they go out she will stop at every sweets shop. 

Since Camilla’s life is rather lacking in romantic advances, she loves to ask about and tease Rosa on her love life. She attempts not to meddle although there are times she really wants to. To her, these girly talks is one of the few “normal young adult” activities they can part-take in, so she treasures whenever they can just act like love is the biggest struggle they are facing.

Say Anything

⇾ w.c. 623 words ⇾ warning(s). none really ⇾ a/n: let's just pretend that say anything didn't come out in '89 for the sake of this timeline lol. Also, it's been a bit since I've written Win & Billy, so hopefully I'm not completely out of practice 😅

Sighing heavily, Win grimaced as she realized she’d just sighed again for the umpteenth time in the past ten minutes.

She’d been irritable all morning, snapping at Billy for something dumb he’d said – she couldn’t even remember exactly what it had been now – but she’d stormed off, coming home to fume about it.  On any other day, she probably would have scoffed at him and rolled her eyes, or tell him to fuck off half jokingly and then forget about it, but today she’d taken it personally, even when she knew he hadn’t meant it that way.

It was stupid.  And now she was in her room crying over it, wanting to call him, but too stubborn to, half hoping he’d call her.

The faint sound of music drifting through her window caught her attention and she wiped at her eyes before lifting her head from her pillow and rolling out of bed, grabbing the first thing she found to throw on, which happened to be one of Billy’s cutoffs she’d stolen, the Ratt logo on the front faded.

Pushing the window open, she found Billy standing outside by the curb next to his Camro, boombox hoisted over his head as it blared KISS.

“What the hell are you doing?” Win exclaimed, having to raise her voice to be heard over the music.

I really love you, baby, I love what you've got.  Let's get together, we can get hot.

“Apologizing,” Billy called, walking closer, a grin tugging at his lips.

“As far as apology’s go, I’m not really sure about this one,” Win teased, leaning against the window sill, trying to keep the amusement from her face.  As soon as she’d seen him standing there, she knew she’d already forgiven him.

No more tomorrow, baby, time is today.  Girl, I can make you feel okay.

“Aw c’mon, what’s so bad about it?” Billy asked, raising an eyebrow at her.  “I thought you were into this romantic shit?”

“Romantic shit?” Win repeated incredulously.  “I don’t know if I’d exactly call this romantic,” she huffed, her chest aching with affection.

“What’s not romantic about it?  Is it the choice of song?”

No place for hiding, baby.  No place to run.  You pull the trigger of my, love gun. 

Win snorted, clamping her mouth shut to keep from laughing.  “Yeah, that might have something to do with it.”

Billy frowned.  “I thought it expressed my feelings pretty well,” he explained, biting his lip to keep from smirking.

“Oh– oh, I see,” Win quipped, shaking her head.  “So you just wanna get in my pants, is that it?”

“Well, that’s part of it,” Billy shrugged.  “But I really am apologizin’ here.  I was an ass earlier.”

Win’s lips curled slightly.  “Yeah, I know.”

Billy directed her a long suffering look.  “I’m sorry!” he exclaimed.

You can't forget me, baby, don't try to lie.  You'll never leave me, mama, so don't even try.

“Do you forgive me yet?” Billy called over the music when Win didn’t respond, half afraid she was gunna tell him no, just get back at him, but when she broke into a grin, he knew he'd succeeded.

“Yes, okay!” Win exclaimed, leaning further out her window.  “Now will you shut that off and get over here before you wake my dad up?” she cried, her voice tinged with laughter.

Billy shut off the boombox and set it down, striding to her open window.  “You know, your room being on the first floor kinda ruins the effect somewhat,” he pointed out, stepping closer so Win could wrap her arms around his shoulders.

“Yeah, a bit,” she agreed, “but it makes it so much easier for you to sneak in,” she grinned, letting him kiss her.

Running away is easy, it's the leaving that's hard

Billy sits on the hood of the camro, the light of the noon Hawkins sun shine his hair golden. The smoke of his dying cigarette floats around him. He looks somewhat like a painting of a Greek hero. The school door spills out children and through the sea of heads he sees them.

"How was school bumble?"

"Some dickhead yanked my hair."

Billy's jaw clenched hard. His whole body tensed visibly.

"But I ripped up one of his textbooks!"

They smiled, Big bright eyes looking up.

"Where's Max?"

"Getting makeup work."

At that moment the red head appeared, a large textbook awkwardly wedged in her arms. Some boy in a large white and red shirt agured with her.

"Who's that boy?"

"Dunno bills."

They turned and slipped into the car as the others grew nearer.

"You're late."

She didn't answer. Starring at the ground with eyes full of fire.

"You're skating home next time."

He slams the door before blasting his cassette. The sound of the Thin Lizzy nearly deafening the two kids. Max's eyes glazed over watching the cars go by as Billy went on and on to his little sibling about eachothers day.

"Who was that boy you were with?"

"No one. Just some kid in my class."

"You better not be bringing over any boys or I'll fucking drag them both of you out by your fucking asses."

Max mumbled a response before drowning out the rest of the conversation.

"Bumble do you want anything from the store?"

"Just skittles!"

Billy smiled. A soft honest smile that no but them ever saw.

"Then I'll get you skittkes."

He spend from the driveway leaving them and Max alone.

"I'm sorry Max, I told him to leave the subject of Lucas."

She sighed, pulling her backpack higher on her shoulders.

"It's fine."

The words were monotone and almost metallic. She walked past them and entered the house with a second thought. They sighed and followed her in.

everyone complaining about matt murdock/daredevil as soon as they got him still acting like himself despite being the camro guest instead of ususlly being the other way around (ITS HIS FIRST CAMEO/GUEST STARRING IN ANOTHER SHOW BE NICE):

he's still as himself in daredevil, this is just a vacay day for him

like yall saw how kingpin appeared in hawkeye and now daredevil.

i fully expect frank castle just drinking those little drinks with rainbow umbrellas, kicked back in swimtrunks, hair curled because he just went swimming and wearing those shades that have the little palm trees on the side in the next marvel show.

this is their little vacay time - as a little treat. a little manipedi time with how they see fit.

And then basically asked for a normal date, got a mission date and left happily barefoot because he was still masked? - Daredevil/Matt on Vacay

we'll get them all toxic masculinity-therapy avoiding-hospital bill racking-sameoldgritty weh weh later but, for now: let them have their little spa day.

6. What is your darkest fear about writing?

i worried more about this when i was in workshops, but i was always scared people would assume my poems or short stories or characters were about me, and not just an exploration of dark people or dark themes. so i guess my darkest fear is people assuming that my writing means an endorsement or a reflection of myself when that's not always the case. like a lot of deeply personal content i don't share at all because that's just for me, you know?

13. What is a subject matter that is incredibly difficult for you write about? What is easy?

i prefer to share my writing under a read more (plus this is getting a little long) so here we go

Heeded by his father’s story and the dead soldier’s warning, Cosmo realises he is still ill-prepared when he reaches the outskirts of the once glorious Camro. A strange, colourless sheet of white coats the earth—blistering cold, like a deep, dark pool in the warmless shade. It bites at his sandals and purples the tops of his toes. A glistening film of crystals eats what’s left of the greenery and crops. All is dead here—the bone army gone, the blood pools long buried beneath the weight of this cruel winter. Wreckage hardly exists beneath the frost plague, like its hidden all proof of the death it ravaged here. 

Still, Cosmo rifles through the homes, calling for children, for herders, for the wounded and the sick. He finds dog carcasses, the frozen nests of ravens, freshly hatched eggs statued in death. They nestle one another, seeking warmth that would soon snuff away. He finds no trace of mortal or divine life. No creatures either, not even rifling shadows.

i like this scene because up to this point, cosmo is trying to maintain hope, using all his might not to derail into paranoia or despair, and when he comes upon this town and realizes the extent of the "frost plague", it renders him hopeless. what can he do when the gods have abandoned them? i stripped away a lot of unnecessary details to let this scene have more weight, and now it's one of my favourites! i almost used this for his character intro, but i feel like it's a little too far into the story for that.

28. Who is the most delightful character you’ve ever written? Why?

persephone, probably? because it took so long to figure out how to make her mine, and now that i've put in that work, it brings me great joy to write this story.

otherwise, i have a host of d&d characters that mean the world to me but they're not all attributed to wips yet so it feels weird to talk about them, hehe.

“As the Last Trian and his loyal friends continued their march through the valleys of the Heglas Range, they soon found the sixth and final shard of Epprasil, with its hilt intact, lying right under a large rock that stood next to a tall boulder standing at the right of the winding mountain road. But just as the five orphans were about to leave for the pass of Carrag Gamros, they were all suddenly assailed by three witch Zuka, who swooped upon them in a hideous black crow-form with great wings and a long, jagged beak. The five orphans did all they could to fight her off with their weapons, yet in the end it was Aaronus himself who happened to strike the final blow when he smote the witch in the chest with his magic dagger as she launched a swooping attack upon the Last Trian and his comrades. Afterwards the five orphans soon resumed their journey to reach the Pass of Carrag Gamros and valiantly fought two huge, hulking trolls that were guarding a narrow stone bridge that they had to cross. One the Last Trian was able to use the magic shield that Susa gave him to reflect the days of the rising sun and turn the trolls into stone, he continued to lead his comrades across the mountains until at last they all happened to come upon a tawny Sphinx who sat upon a boulder that loomed tall over the Pass of Carrag Gamros, which she fiercely gauged as its stately sentinel, and would devour those who failed to answer her riddles correctly in order to to enter the pass.

‘Aaronus, Last of the Trians at I,’ Aaronus boldly raised his magic dagger in front of the Sphinx, ‘And I have come with my loyal company of four to answer your riddles and thus be given entry into the Pass of Carrag Gamros, beyond which lies Triandos, the lost city of my forebears!’

So it was that the Sphinx spoke to the five orphans the following words:

‘Which Beast is both big and small, is as bright and radiant as the sun, can be easily tamed by careful and cautious hands, devours deer, house, plant and tree in its path, and is a fearsome menante to the armies of cold and darkness itself? And what goes beyond all battlefields, brings enemies together, breaks iron and steel, and is far more powerful a weapon than the dagger or the sword?’

Once Aaronus and the Four Scavengers said ‘Fire’ and ‘Love’, the Sphinx, kind as she was, finally allowed the travellers to safely enter the Pass of Carrag Camros, and they were soon led into the Halls of Mount Dardaros, which was home to a thriving Dwarf-city that had long withstood the spells of Lord Mazaruul…”
