Hehe, there definitely is a planned good ending, how long it will take is to get there tho.... that's harder to answer, but I do fully plan for these goobers to get a happy ending!

As far as updating I'm not sure, my updates have definitely slowed down between life and getting caught up in vidya games (blame bg3) but I've written about 15-17 pages for the next chapter and have definitely been working on it, even if I can't do weekly or biweekly updates as much now- my hope is to still update at least monthly, so I hope to update before December, though I know I can't promise anything.

Regarding Tumblr Updates for CYFTS

Hey, there! I know it’s been a hot minute- I just updated my masterlist and some of you who follow my Can You Feel The Sun? Cyberpunk 2077 Fic Series may notice that

A) a loooot of chapters added 

and

B) they link to AO3 instead of tumblr posts

And while I know not a lot of people were following that series over here, I just wanted to let folks know the reasoning for this and why this blog has kind of laxed in activity. It is because I’ve been focused mainly if not entirely on my Cyberpunk 2077 fic (hyperfixations do be a fickle mistress) and have shifted focus to updating on AO3 exclusively because- well, Tumblr fucks with my formatting. When I past my chapters over from drive, if i past more than a paragraph at a time it gets rid of my italics and bolding, which is use a lot of in this fic because my oc has three different forms of communication. And given my chapter lengths, editing this in tumblr is very time consuming. So, I ended up just not doing it. 

So, if you’re interested in that series- go check out my ao3!!! It’s actually made for fanfic and makes my updating process relatively painless!

Nico and Percy's dynamic through the series is eternally funny to me, because it's just. like.

Percy's having a constant mental struggle between his fatal flaw of loyalty with a promise he made to Bianca to protect Nico, versus his Big 3 kid desire to maim other Big 3 kids / Poseidon descendant urge to totally maim Nico specifically. He hates Nico so so much. He thinks Nico's annoying and weird at best, and creepy/sketchy when he's older. The only positive thoughts Percy has towards Nico are "He's Bianca's brother and Bianca was my friend and I owe her/He's Hazel's brother and Hazel is my friend and would kill me if I was mean to him," "He's a powerful asset and useful ally (if questionable)," and "He's kinda pathetic and I feel maybe a little bad about it." Percy has multiple occasions throughout the series where he strongly considers - and on one occasionally actually goes through with - throttling Nico.

Meanwhile, Nico is following around Percy like a lost puppy. He explicitly can never bring himself to even dislike anything about Percy no matter how hard he tries. He has a whole bit in BoO where he's mentally going "UGH he's so stupid BUT IT'S ENDEARING HOW DARE HE." He's totally smitten. He's making deals with his dad for Percy. He's making convoluted plans to help Percy stand a chance against Kronos. During the entirety of BoTL it's like he's playing tsundere - "I'm helping NOT PERCY SPECIFICALLY with this quest! Me helping Percy would be SILLY because I DEFINITELY HATE HIM." Then he proceeds to show up to Percy's birthday party to basically ask him on a weird date and spend the entire next book scrambling around trying to help him or protect him or impress him. And Percy could not give less of a shit.

Just. That dynamic is so funny to me. Percy is the founder of the Nico Protection Club in that he's the one they're all protecting Nico from and meanwhile Nico is throwing himself at Percy to the point where the literal god of gay love calls him out on it.

And to the surprise of absolutely no one, I'm workinv on the latest chapter of my Cyberpunk 2077 fic.

“So, who did you mean?” 

“Oh-” V stutters, somehow not expecting that question. Not quite as embarrassing as when her hookup or Barry mentioned Johnny, but it always takes her back when he’s brought up by anyone not privy to her situation. Surprised by how many times it seems to happen. 

“Yeah, V, who did you mean?” Johnny’s voice rumbles from overhead, playfulness in his tone. Smug bastard. Obviously, she can’t explain to Panam that she has a feral brain mold. 

“There’s just… a guy…” 

“A guy?” Panam raises an eyebrow and V doesn’t miss the suggestion in her eyes, the lilt in her voice. 

“No, no, no, no,” V denies emphatically, shaking her head and hands at a snickering Panam. Johnny cackling overhead. 

“Keep it up, gonna start thinkin’ you have a crush on me, V.” 

“Fuck clean off! Look, I didn’t mean like ‘there’s a guy’,” she fries her voice and tosses her hair back with exaggerated flair; “I meant like, ‘ugh, there’s a guy… blegh!’”  She groans and sticks her tongue out, pretending to blow chunks. 

“Sure, whatever you say,” Panam relents, smiling a little to herself as she holds her hands up in mock surrender, “so you and this… puke guy - live together?” 

“Yeah,” it’s not like Panam will ever see her one person apartment, “Neither of us really wanted it, sort of just got… forced into it. Were at each other’s throats at first, screaming matches, and hurling insults just to see who could hurt the other person more.” 

“Wow, sounds awful.” 

“Yeah, first thing he did when we met was call me a whore,” V shares, laughing a little at the admission. She keeps out the details of the assault and suicide baiting, Panam might think she’s truly deranged for forgiving that. 

“Christ, really?” 

“Mmhmm.” 

“Actually,” Johnny cuts in, “First thing I did was call you Samurai and tell you to burn the city down.” 

“Then you called me a whore and tried to kill me.” 

“Always got to focus on the negative, don’t ya?” 

“So, what’s it like now, you and puke guy friends now?” Panam asks, shifting to her side to face V more directly. The merc doing the same, the women now laying on their sides, facing each other, closer now- beers mostly gone. 

“Uhh,” V trips over the question, one that’s been rattling around her own brain…

“Yeah, V, you and him friends?” 

Her peanut gallery is not helping. 

“Friends is a strong word… But, I… like him more than I expected,” V stutters over every word, something feeling entirely too vulnerable in that admission. Almost wishes she’d just said they were friends. That what she just admitted may sound- worse or too much. Just grateful she’s looking at Panam instead of Johnny.
