My theory of "Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-Kun" is that they're gonna pull a "Fire Emblem Fates" on us.
I've read that Iruma is a reincarnation of Derkila in some way. That I can see.
But you may ask - what about Ali in the ring?
Well - In "Fire Emblem Fates: Revelations" it was revealed that the main character, Corrin, was the child of the main villain but with a twist. The twist was that half of the villain's soul was "Reborn" into Corrin, who was the "good" half, while the evil half of the soul stayed as the dragon and final boss in the game.
This could be a similar situation for Iruma.
Half of Derkila's soul was in the ring, and the other half was reborn as Iruma. Iruma, who is extremely gentle and a pushover in high levels, is the good half of the soul and since he was raised with humans he shows more empathy and compassion versus a demon in the Netherworld, who's own desires trumps everthing else. Alikred would be the "demonic" half of Derkila, who as a demon shows more greed and desire than a human.
The prophecy of the next Demon King stated that "He shall make one and all of his servants". Iruma has shown compassion and friendship to Azz and Clara, making them his first "servants", but he doesn't see it that way. His kindness also spreads where he befriends the Misfits Class and sees them as family, it got to the point where Lied considers him a brother and Jazz and Allocer got revenge during the Harvest Festival to make sure Iruma and Lied got the base back. He also befriended Ameri and tried to still show compassion to Kirio (despite him being CRAZY AF). Iruma has also showed empathy and helped the Guardian of Cutthroat Valley's chick, which gained the respect of the Guardian, causing both beasts to bow to him.
"He shall form blood pacts." It's argued that blood is used to gain his familiar, who is Professor Kalego, but if you think about it ALL the students use their blood to get their familiar. The better example is that Iruma's drop of blood healed the chick from the Flying Race, which resulted the beast to trust and respect Iruma. This in turn has the Guardian of Cutthroat Valley respect Iruma as well.
This argument is also valid for "And heal all of demonkind".
"He shall descend from a foreign realm". Iruma is from the human world - enough said.
"And wear the golden ring of Solomon on his right hand". Iruma gets the ring from the Ranking Owl after the Flying Race, however it's called the "Ring of Gluttony". Since Sullivan knew about the ring and how it worked, he may have been the one who helped with the idea of the ring to begin with and gave it a different name so that other demons wouldn't travel about trying to search for it and take the throne.
Finally what seals my theory, and many other theories I've seen people made: Sullivan.
Sullivan was Derkila's right hand demon for thr most part. There was a reason Sullivan "picked" Iruma to be his grandson. He was probably watching over the human realm for centuries, watching every person being born until he finally found Iruma who had the same qualities he recognized from Derkila. Sullivan probably did a little demon manipulation on Iruma's parents, which probably turned out didn't really need much prodding since the parents are complete ASSES, for them to sell him Iruma. Sullivan even before the new term/Harvest Festival saw Derkila in Iruma when he was having that flashback.
As Iruma continued to live in the Netherworld, he learned of his own "demonic" desires - his selfish wants. Iruma WANTS to have his friends and family he had made. He WANTS a better world where they can all be toelgether and happy.
THAT is where his humanity combined with Ali's demonics is what is going to show how he would be the Demon King as he would look out for everyone and won't let ANYTHING stand in his way of that goal/dream.
Also... first episode... if Iruma couldn't do magic without the ring supposedly... how did he cast that spell during the Opening Ceremony...? Sullivan's spell of helping Iruma read/write/speak/hear demon language wouldn't help him in that aspect of casting a spell... This would show that somewhere deep in his soul he has mana as what the main villains have said that Iruma "posses the same mana as Derkila"
I just feel it's gonna be a "Fire Emblem: Fates" twist, which I am NOT against.

GOT S8 EPISODE 4 - Spoilers and Theories
This is just a list of thoughts I have so far:
1. JON SNOW KNOWS NOTHING: how does he just throw his whole Stark identity out of the window like that? Telling “his brother and sisters” they are practically nothing. Is like Lyanna’s ancestry doesn’t weigh on his. He is still a Stark. I understand he was raised to feel inferior but he was always proud of Ned and loved his singlings. And why the fuck does he just dismissed Ghost like that? Ghost is in his fucking sword! Is he gonna have it reshaped to be a Dragon now? Ugh 😑 I think the whole Ghost thing is either foreshadowing Jon’s return to the Night Watch or even beyond the wall or his lost identity that will be his downfall... as Sansa mentioned on this episode: “Stark men dont do well in the South”. He does not deserve the Iron Throne even though every one keeps shoving it down his throat. I’m done with Jon/Aegon. What is he thinking: he doesn’t identify as a Stark, he said he loved Dany but still went ahead and told the other Starks their secret... uuugggh. The worst is that he is the only character who doesn’t want to live and I think he is going to make it until he dies of old age 🤦🏻‍♀️
2. SANSA WTF? Selfish little Sansa... I loved her moment with The Hound, her moment saying good bye to Theon but that’s it. She’s the new Littlefinger, but I dont think she really wants the Throne, she just wants some sort of justice for the North. However, what she just triggered by telling Tyrion is going to reshape the whole story. And I think in the end the North will be the new capital and she will be the new queen but won’t be happy... she’ll mirror Cersei and Littlefinger in many things.
3. DANY... I am convinced now that she will be indeed go full Mad Queen. After all that she’s lost (2 Dragons, her best friend and her loyal protector plus the entire Dotraki army and like 75% of the Unsullied) only to see how a man takes all the credit is definitely going to take a toll on her mental state. She meant well by trying to be righteous and destroying the wheel but now she’s all about revenge. She doesn’t really trust the people around her anymore and she’s been held back many many times... I’m sure she will do whatever she wants and this will trigger Varys to act against her. However, I really think Jon will kill her, a new Queen Slayer and this will be her 3rd betrayal. I think Drogon is gonna burn the hell out of Euron.
4. VARYS AND TYRION: I can see Dany executing both of them for conspiracy. And then Dany will suspect Jon as well because he was the one who told Sansa the truth. Maybe Tyrion could survive but I’m not so sure.
5. JAMIE and CERSEI... I truly want to believe he is going back to Kings Landing to try to fix things with Cersei, and try to convince her of running away together or something. I could see Cersei killing him for being a traitor, for leaving her and accusing him of the loss of their unborn child. She’s paranoid so I think that once she sees herself loosing, she will kill herself by Jamie’s corpse side. Very Romeo and Juliette like.
6. ARYA... it was very on point for her to refuse Gendry on those terms of being a lady at a castle. I think she will help the Hound kill the Mountain and finally giving the Hound the gift of mercy. Afterall she’s regained contact with her humanity. I do see her going back to Storm’s End and being with Gendry but as a Master of arms or something on her own terms and him of course supporting her.
7. BRIENNE AND POD: I can see Brienne as the hand of Sansa and Pod as a Knight. Also, there’s room for Brienne to be having Jaimies twins. Afterall, it was kind of foreshadowed during thr drinking game by bringin up thr fact that she was an only child and a virgin.
8. Sam: I’m not sure if Sam’s role was just to read about dragon glass killing the white walkers but I’m sure he will write everything that happened on that night and will go back to his family’s castle.
9. Bran: I’m sure his line to Tyrion about being too much in the past will pay off. There’s still some kind of twist coming for Bran. Probably to open room for the spin off series.
—————
My bittersweet ending would be:
Dany’s dream of ending with corruption ends dead along with her. Jon bitter and alive at The Wall, back to his roots. Sansa alone being the lady that conquered it all with her smarts but is still alone and unhappy, nit necesarily a bad leader but hinting shades of the past ruthlessness. Brienne with the things she never thought could achieve (a family, knighthood, etc) but still suffering by the toll it took. And new generations growing up in spring (Sam, Brienne, Arya’s kids)... maybe Drogon will fly off and lay new eggs but will someone be able to hatch them? And finally Bran, dwelling in the past by the weirwood tree.
_________
Overall I think the producers underestimated this last season. They focused mostly on CGI and visuals, and sacrificed the writing which was what made the series great. They took for granted many aspects (like how could you spend millions on a dragon but overlook a cup of Starbucks right in the middle of the frame). I think we’ll have lots of unanswered questions and many angry fans all over.
I’m also sure the books will be completely different so that’s something I look up to.

https://sokumotanaka.tumblr.com/post/178089028974/its-a-long-post-down-there-vvvvvmore-boy-you
Really, using Monika for this point?
You really don’t know what you talk about do you?
Boy you went on a long rant didn’t you? Must have alot of time on your hands; Okay….looking at all this these are long reaches to defend a hypocrite.
Wow your very first statement is a fallacy. You don’t even show their arguments before insulting them and saying they’re wrong for a specific reason.
And before someone claims that I am using the Fallacy Fallacy: Him being fallacious isn’t my entire point. My point is he’s being manipulative when he should be stating facts. That’s what an honorable debater does.
Tumblr media
Here’s the thing ozpin runs the school and he states as do almost all the teaches that grimm can easily kill you, if she wasn’t prepared for a situation that’s no one fault that’s situational, no one can prepare for a situation on the fly they obviously weren’t prepared for.
Yeah but Ozpin can also reject whoever he wants from the schools just as he can accept anyone he wants. And he brings up Mt. Glenn as an example where Ozpin bends the rules but almost causes harm to his students for it. So obviously there is more to this argument.
That being said it’s a mission the one thing you’re suppose to do in a constant life or death situation is prepare to the best of your abilities that’s hardly ozpin’s fault cause if SHe didn’t see it coming then he definetly didn’t see it coming.
... How? Do you know the specifics of the mission? If not then how do you know what happened for sure?
If this is an interpretation issue then you have to argue that they are being WILLFULLY MISLEADING with their interpretations.
“How many kids must die for you while killing a kid is implying he takes no delight in it.”
Okay stop! Now you’re literally stretching it cause we can sit here all day implying  things, and that would be a subpar theory but there’s nothing supporting it.
Did you just make a theory yourself not one point ago?
Also you can use implications you just have to back them up with evidence from the show. Like mentioning subtle movements or little details. Those are all important in a show too mind you.
Hazel is literally holding a screaming nora by the head forcing her to look at oscar/ozpin he doesn’t care he clearly doesn’t cause if he did he would  try to kill her so she doesn’t suffer.
Okay, NOW this is disingenuous. “Care” and “delight” are two different things Soku. You claim to be a writer so you should know the first implies investiment and interest in general towards something (’I don’t care’ is neither positive nor negative remember) while ‘delight’ explictedly means to take pleasure from the action.
Your argument only works with that word change because then Hazel’s voice and demeanor and words show he doesn’t like it.
But he’s doing that to make a point cause all he cares about is his sister and his revenge. stop stretching and admit you didn’t either pay attention, cause you clearly didn’t.
Yeah...
Which is precisely the commentator’s point. Good job backing them up.
Tumblr media
It;s totally hypocritical to scream about killing kids and to be murdering one is poor character motivation and if hazel avoided fighting the kids and went stragiht for ozpin and pinned him to a walk and pointed to all the losing battles then that be one thing, but he’s literally talking about how child murder is bad and trying to commit it as he’s talking.
A. Him being a hypocrite is the fucking point Soku. He’s suppose to be hypocritical and wrong because he’s irrational. Fucking hell, I got this on my only view of the episode...
B.... Then that defeats the purpose of his character AKA “Man who doesn’t process his grief right”.
And C. Really, Hazel is arguing both ideas but you’re still not addressing his point.
You’re both idiots
If I showed this to someone fresh to the show they’ll call it hypocritical and it’s kinda funny considering your the only person batting for the wrong team, again even if you won this argument what do you win? You defended a terrorist with no personality or redeeming qualities congrats on wasting everyone’s time.
This coming from the guy who regularly dies on the hill of “The WF are completely justified!” when they’re being lead by Furry Hitler.
Tumblr media
“We don’t know the full story.” We don’t have to!
He joined a criminal organization because he wanted revenge for his sister being killed by grimm and the boss he works for MAKES GRIMM! It’s bad writing, it’s like my sister getting killed by bees so I become a beekeeper.
You’re right on one thing it’s not you thinking too deep about it, you’re just not thinking period.
Okay:
A. Soku you bitch all the time about missing information and yet you go and assume Salem makes the Grimm. We don’t know what her connection to the Grimm IS YET. This is why you don’t make judgements before you get all the information.
B. Yeah let’s put this in another light. Hazel is grieving and desperate to blame someone for the death of his sister because the truth of the fact, that she died in a freak accident with no one to blame, gives him no comfort and the pain is too much to bear. So Salem comes along and feeds him what he wants to hear.
Same thing Cinder did to Adam: gave him exactly what he wanted to control him.
How do I know this? A. Salem clearly works off manipulating people with how she treats her underlings and how she treats Leo. B. Hazel’s Semblance is a VERY EASY metaphor for numbing yourself to pain instead of dealing with it C. His story directly parallels Yang’s and this is something yang was very close to doing if her dad hadn’t helped her and D. OZPIN PRETTY MUCH SAYS AS MUCH.
Gee, that seems like a lot of info to convey without actually saying most of it. Pretty good writing in my opinion (better than anything YOU’VE written).
And C. yeah, we don’t know what actually happened. For all we know, Ozpin IS lying. You never actually debate that.
Then again, you don’t think very often.
Tumblr media
The bird scene adds nothing to this dicussion, oz literally said it was a choicd that the twins agreed on which both of them admit, back on topic.
... Soku, they literally just said they don’t think Ozpin is a trustworthy source. Arguing information from Ozpin is not gonna convince them. Translation: this is like if someone tried using what I said as evidence against you.
And no, Raven never said it was a choice. She implied it was FORCED on them. You could have brought up how Raven is a (shitty) manipulator and how it doesn’t make sense for Qrow to be so loyal to Ozpin then but nope, just gonna yell “NO, YUR WRONG!”
Tumblr media
So you’re ont jumping the gun when we have the word of just raven saying don’t trust him with nothing concrete besides someone ELSE untrustworthy while hazel telling us she died on a mission, miles and kerry stating it was grimm and it was her choice and that fact that he’s murdering nora before our very eyes is?
Jesus Soku, my posts have less spelling errors than this...
A. Where did Hazel say she died on a mission, he just blamed Ozpin for it. He can’t hear Ozpin in Oscar’s head.
B. What other untrustworthy source is that? Seriously who? Hazel? You never said why he would lie so why should I believe you?
And C. Mind providing proof that Miles and Kerry said that? You yourself are not trustworthy when it comes to them.
And it’s me criticizing thr “wrong thing” like you’re the boss of what I should crirtize?
Funny that.
You just did the exact same thing dumbass.
Tumblr media
Tell you what geywulf you make a rwde post criticizing what you want and I’ll come there to tell you your criticizing the “wrong thing”?
And yet when I do something similar you screech.
Grow up,smarten up and settle down, seriously.
‘smarten up’
That is such a fucking clunky ass phrase. You expect me to think you can write with THAT?
And seriously, you mocked him in the beginning, you’ve made numerous mistakes and failed to actually debate this guy and you made a whole post about it
You are not one to talk.

Allow me too tell you about my inspiration for Mia Raven, the heroine of Recovery Incorporated.
I want to tell you about the two primary influences that led to the creation of Mia Raven today: Catherine Banning and Nikita.
Who the hell are these two women, you ask? Well don’t worry, I’m going to tell you. If you’ve seen either of these two films, you’ll get a stroll down memory lane, but if you haven’t, that’s okay, you’ll still get some key insights into my character that, hopefully, will get you interested in her. There’s plenty to be interested in, if you ask me.
So let’s start with Catherine Banning. She’s from the movie The Thomas Crown Affair. I’ve never seen the original from 1968, starring Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway. I should, I know, but I love the 1999 version starring Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo so much that I’ve simply never felt the need.
Pierce Brosnan plays the title character and I guess he’s supposed to be the main character of interest, but to me Catherine Banning seems to be the actual central character. The entire story centers on her figuring out that Thomas Crown is the one who stole the painting, going after him, falling in love, then making arrangements to fly away with him to lalaland and live happily ever after. During the story she navigates not only her relationship with Thomas Crown, but also with Detective Michael McCann, played by Dennis Leary.
From the moment Catherine Banning shows up she is a force to be reckoned with. She is attractive, flirtatious, sharp-witted, and intelligent, which instantly has detective McCann and his partner, Detective Paretti, played by Frankie Faison, off their game. She shoots holes in their theories, notices things they don’t, and very quickly reads their characters, including the fact that detective McCann is recently divorced.
What really jumped out to me, however, was her job. She works for the insurance companies. Her job is to try and recover the stolen painting so the insurance company doesn’t have to write a check for a hundred million dollars to pay out on the policy covering the insured painting. That immediately got my attention. I’d never heard of such a job before.
I have, in the years since, read of other people with similar jobs. I read about a similar group in Wired Magazine, who helps companies salvage inventory from wrecks. They get 50% the value of the rescue, which can be tens of millions per job. Catherine Banning says she’s getting 5% the value of the painting, which at $100,000,000 would be five million dollars! Not bad at all! High risk - you have to recover the stolen item in order to get paid, but if you do, it’s high reward.
I was immediately taken with what she did for a living. I wanted to know more. A lot more. Detectives McCann and Paretti discover that she was a bounty hunter prior to getting into her current line of work, so she’s not afraid of getting down and dirty, apparently. Color me even more intrigued.
On top of all this, she flies in from London with her strange habits (here she’s drinking her grass juice way before it was a common thing everyone could get at Jamba Juice)...
She speaks multiple languages (which Mia does because not only is she from Portugal, but she goes back there and spends several of her teenaged years trotting around Europe), which Catherine uses here to interrogate a prisoner...
Always seems to be dressed is the most interesting of fashions...
Whether it’s zipping around town, showing up at a black tie event, or spying on a suspect while they’re playing on the weekend.
And she has the guts to go right up to her target and tell him he’s her target. Every single thing about this woman is fascinating, from the big picture down to the most minute detail. I wanted to create a character like that for a long, long time, and I finally got my shot.
Mia started as a thief, became a detective (you’ll learn the basics of how), and eventually figured out that there was a better way of doing that job - a way that paid better and didn’t confine her to the limits of the law. So she starts her own company working for higher end clients and insurance companies, but I didn’t just want to make a carbon copy of Catherine Banning, I needed my character to be her own person. She needed her own story, her own background, and her own personality.
For that, we turn to the other character that really informed who Mia Raven is. Nikita, or La Femme Nikita, was released in 1990. Written and directed by Luc Besson, this was my introduction to his work. It was also my introduction to the strong female protagonist. She's not really the ideal character for that icon, but it was my introduction nonetheless, and it really cemented in my head a love for the concept.
Nikita, a gang-banging druggie, goes from this:
To a woman who is given a second chance by her government. She is asked to learn. Learn everything.
So she does. She learns to use computers, firearms, her body - as both a weapon and a lure. She learns about grace and the allure of being a woman, and three years later it all culminates in this: a night out. She is a wholly different woman than the one who entered the program as a nineteen year old punk.
The only catch is that this night out is a test...
It is a test to prove whether or not she can survive as an agent for the French government. Can she think under pressure? React to the unexpected? Survive when the odds are against her? And that led to the sequence that really stuck in my head.
Seeing beauty juxtaposed against violence. And believing it. That was the key element. I’ve seen so many of these types of stories since then that I don’t buy into. You can hire an attractive actress to play a role, but if they’re not tough, if they can’t do a healthy amount of their own stunts, then I’m never going to buy it. I want to see the muscles, the work that goes into getting strong enough to do the things they’re showing us they’re doing. I want to see the grit and determination on their faces as they struggle to get the things done. Like Nikita shoving a garbage crate out of the way with her arms and back exposed so I can see her muscles working, so she can crawl out of it slowly, painfully and make her way out on to the cold Paris streets after barely escaping with her life. But that's not all. I want to see women with complex inner characters. They need to have hopes and desires beyond just what the plot drives them towards; they need to be human. They need to want things normal women want. I want this for all characters in a story, but especially the lead.
Mia isn’t a spy, but she comes from a bad past. She has a bad set of parents who caused her an untold amount of grief as a child. It caused her to get into a lot of trouble that she luckily escaped from. Those troubled times taught her to think for herself though. They taught her to look out for herself, to watch her back, to not be overly trusting, and to rely on no one but herself in life. She has taken the time, effort, and expense to teach herself how to do all the things she might need to do for any given job, and continues to refine and add to those skills all the time. You’ll get to see some of that in her stories.
Unfortunately it didn’t teach her anything about how relationships work. Or how to navigate friendships. Her only real friend in the entire world is her cousin Jacinta, because Jacinta went through much of the same hell that Mia went through. This is, I think, what makes Mia such an interesting character. She’s very successful at her chosen job, but barely functions as a human being most of the time, so how successful is she really? How happy can she actually be? Does money buy happiness? Does job success soothe the inner demons that haunt her? I’ll give you one guess...
So that’s Mia Raven. That’s where the inspiration for her came from. I’m very proud of her and what I have in store for her. She’s a very real person in my mind; a fascinating character study in what I hope will be a series of stories that prove to be exciting, unexpected, wistful, and ultimately satisfying for everyone.
You can read issue 01 of Recovery Incorporated by backing thr Kickstarter campaign, which launches on Thursday, January 21st.
