What the Gaang brings to a potluck, or everyone’s signature dishes.

Sokka: The grill master. He can make all sorts of grilled meats and veggies, but operating a stove is somehow too much for him.

Suki: A hearty side dish, like some sort of rice thing? I’m thinking the Misty palms special rice from the Avatar cookbook would be up her alley.

Aang: The cakes he made with Gyatso.

Zuko: He brews tea fresh for everyone (one of Iroh’s blends of course) and picks up a package of fireflakes as well.

Toph: See, you’d think she’d just buy something BUT I think (totally inspired by that scene in Crazy Rich Asians) she’d be amazing at wrapping dumplings. I think she has a girls day with Katara and Suki to make the filling and then she fills and wraps like 100 dumplings by herself.

Katara: She’d be the one to bring all the dishes no one else brought. So like, a salad and another side. But she also makes cookies because those are her favorite to make.

Right now, the thing I miss most about Boston is ironically a place called Archie’s New York Deli downtown. They have the best fucking breakfast sandwich on a Portuguese bun and when I’m there I can’t wait to wake up early as hell and get my yahoo and hot tea 🤤

One year, when the business is still young, Janine sneaks out of bed to pickup a dozen fresh bagels and bialys. She also gets a heaping tray of lox and cream cheese. Her only prep work is that she slices a red onion and pops open a jar of capers.

Another year, when business is good, Egon books a private chef to cook a Parisian-inspired brunch. The chef serves fresh croissants, a mesclun salad, a lobster omelette, and raspberry soufflé.

Their anniversary is one day when they leave cooking to the professionals.
