hey friend I think you got the prompt reversed. they requested reader meeting the leclerc family, not charles meeting the readers family.

Note: I absolutely did 🤦‍♀️ my bad! What's worse is that the piece I mentioned in the I also the right way around - I'm going with "it was late for me" 🤡 thank you for letting me know!

Charles parked the car in his spot in the garage, having just picked you up from your place since it was raining and he didn't want to you to catch an Uber or something like that.

"You don't need to worry, amour, my family won't think you're a 'snobby princess' because I went to pick you up", Charles shook his head, "my mother was the one who kicked me out of my own apartment to come and get you", he kissed your cheek, "ready?", he asked as he unlocked the door.

"Hi Y/N, I'm so happy you could join us for dinner", a blonde woman said, pulling you into a warm hug, "hi, thank you for having me with you", you smiled as you walked to the living room.

"I thought I told you I didn't want your feet on my coffee table", Charles swatted his brothers' feet from the piece of furniture, "That's no way to receive a guest, boys, c'mon", Pascale scolded.

"Hi, I'm Y/N", you smiled, waiting for them to get up and greet you how they wanted, going for a quick hug and a kiss on each cheek.

"I'm Arthur", the youngest one said, "glad we can finally meet you, we've heard so much about you that I feel like I know you", he smiled.

"I doubt I'm that interesting", you joked along as Charles squeezed your waist softly, "I'm sure you are, mon coeur".

"Charles actually made you sound like this unattainable example of perfection", the oldest Leclerc brother said, "I'm Lorenzo, who can believe you're all he said, but can't quite believe you chose him of all people", he winked.

"You should be kinder, Lorenzo!", a woman said as she stepped into the living room, "I'm Charlotte, Lorenzo's girlfriend, it's so nice to meet you, Y/N, I've been needing girl company whenever these three get together", she smirked.

"I'm happy to help with anything you need", you said as you set your things down in Charles' bedroom, "I just need to bring these to the table, it's no problem - but if you want to take the bread and the tapenade while you're here", Pascale smiled as she carried a bigger tray.

"Just so you know, my mother already loves you", Charles said once he caught you in the kitchen alone washing your hands before eating, "it hasn't been too long for me to ruin it that much", you joked.

Charles tapped your butt, "not like that, that's not what I meant and you know it! I mean she loves you since she noticed how happy you make me, and that goes beyond helping set the table or stuff like that", he kissed your lips, "you have a way with the Leclercs, they fall at your feet, amour".

people really be out there like “I wonder what this breed called a Shetland sheepdog was used for historically? alas it’s impossible to tell, we may never know” 🤦‍♀️

There is, believe it or not, some actual controversy regarding the breed origins and most of it (imo) stems from many people's mental image of a working sheepdog is a border collie, and not quite grasping that border collies are freaks and the way that we now work border collies didn't exist prior to the development of the border collie, and in some parts the way we keep SHEEP didn't exist prior to the border collie. There's also been some debate around old letters written by non-shetlanders after visiting the isles or talking to locals and having mmm interesting ideas of how people handled sheep over there. This leads to statements like:

Sheltie legs are too short to outrun sheep

They're also too small to grab the sheep and hold it (don't get me started)

A sheltie could never take sheep through a- (name specific type of herding trial)

Maybe they were actually placed with flocks on peripheral islands to keep watch for birds??

Shelties never existed and were made up in the late 1800s just for shetlanders to make money off of selling cute puppies to gullible tourists

There was an original sheepdog on Shetland but it was a much bigger dog (see reasons above) and the current sheltie was made up in the late 1800s, by breeding cavaliers to pomeranians and maybe a collie, just for shetlanders to sell puppies to tourists

...and so, clearly, they can't have been sheepdogs and we have No Clue what they were actually for (except scamming foreigners)

Meanwhile we know that traditional shepherding on Shetland relied on roaming sheep, keeping them off the property rather than on it (because that's where your crops are) and you'd only be rounding up your sheep a couple of times a year, and that island-bred shelties were smaller and spitzier type than even the current UK type.

#life is full of mysteries #and like. i know i have a particular interest in this because I'm interested in the historical development of Norwegian agriculture #and how that has been shaped by industry and politics because that is very much an ongoing issue #and that we have a similar climate and heritage breeds with similar traits and origins #and i grew up in this. and how we live and how we have lived and the animals involved in that is yknow. part of our cultural identity #and it MATTERS.#and so i have pegs to hang it on #and it baffles me #how short our memory is and how little imagination we have for how things have been done in the past

god THANK YOU for pointing the whole Bryce and Azriel situation. Even tho you needn't to go this hard lol its basic logic!! Bryce lives in another whole universe is desperate to save her mate and brother. She's worried sick for them do you think she will forget about them to what? catch feelings for Azriel? I'm pretty sure the time she's in Velaris she'll try to save her mate and find some answers! LIKE BE SERIOUS FOR A SECOND!!!

Why sjm fandoms have an obsession about fated mates not being mates lmao idk how many times sjm wrote "MATE" in Bryce and Hunts pov the word that everyone keep saying is overused! well honey if she doesn't do that ppl won't believe they're mates! Like now, ppl are reaching with their theories that they're not mates. Same goes about Elain and Lucien so you see... SHE HAS NO OTHER CHOICE bc ppl have tendency to go all blind over that word lmao

And what is really amusing is that the arguments are so contradictory.

Bryce and Hunt have chosen one another and as a result, they ended up sharing a mating bond that is similar to what the Fae experience with their mates (scents merging, Hunt going crazy to protect his mate, SJM actually calling them mates/ true mates and all that jazz) yet some in the fandom insist they are not endgame because they believe they are not actual mates as their bond reads somewhat different than the Prythian bonds (which to me makes sense considering they are farther from magic than the ACOTAR characters and neither is 100% fae).

BUT......with Elucien, they'll say that they won't end up together because even though they are actual mates in canon with a bond that snapped and everything, they didn't CHOOSE to be together.

We're damned if we do, damned if we don't.

Somehow Feysands love is valid even though Rhys knew she was his mate almost immediately. No one claims his love for her is lessened because he suspected they were mates from the start.

But Elucien can't fall for one another because then, it's "just because of the bond".

But Bryce and Hunt can't end up staying together because even though they chose one another, their bond came about differently, and that means there's someone else out there she's meant to be with just because she shares a true bond with them.

This fandom is enough to give you a headache some days.

Maybe people need to realize that SJM is simply giving us a little variety in how these bonds all come about.

One is where the female was first enemies with, then friends with, then knew before the male because he thought he had already lost his mate so he was closed off from seeing who was in front of him the whole time.

One is where the male knew first and he hid it from the female until she fell in love with him.

One is where both the male and female suspected something from the get go but it was never confirmed until they chose to be together.

One is where both the male and female had it immediately snap as strangers and SJM created a storyline where neither was ready to deal with their bond so she's temporarily driven them apart.

One is where the male and female never suspected any bond, chose to be with one another after getting to know each other as friends even though they shared a mutual attraction early on, then had their mating bond begin to solidify after committing.

I don't understand why people think SJM is tossing around the word mate for her characters like it's an interchangeable accessory. If SJM wanted multiple mating bonds then why did Jesminda NOT turn out to be Lucien's mate? Why not have his first mate murdered then give him a second mate? Instead, she made it so he was waiting for the bond to snap into place but it never did because she was never actually his mate, Elain was. Why did Rowan only have a fake mating bond with Lyria? Why not allow Lyria to be his first mate, have Maeve coordinate her death only to trap him so that when his second mate came around, she'd still have control over him?

Instead, SJM has written it so these characters only have one actual mate.

No, not every bond looks the same or snaps the same but in the end, if they have an actual bond where the FMC / MMC character as a couple confirms it's a bond on page, that's the game. Bryce loves Hunt so much she feels that he is her mate and even though it came about differently it is still a bond others can scent and that causes a physical reaction in Hunt, shouldn't that be enough? Where another character confirms they are True Mates in the way fae are? Lucien and Elain confirm they feel a thread /bond between them (terminology used by both Nessian and Feysand) and where it is confirmed they both know what the other is to them. Anyone trying to denying those things as fact is someone who is being driven by disappointment because they were hoping for a different outcome rather than using logic. And yeah, it's never fun when the outcome isn't what we wanted but that still doesn't change anything. Team Jacob fans get it.

Tw: Murder, blood, strangulation, abuse,unhealthy obsession, yandere themes.

You had never told Isabela, or anyone about the abuse or just bad home life you had. You didn't want to risk your parents finding out about it, and beat you until you were dead. Like many times before.

You were just, too scared.

You had snuck out from your parents home while they were sleeping, you were currently on your way to Isabela's place to hang out. When you arrived, you had greeted Casita and walked up the stairs to Isabela's room.

You knocked on the door, awaiting a answer. The door suddenly, but quickly opened. Revealing Isabela with a big smile on her face. "Come in!" She said excited. You walked in closing the door behind you. Making sure to cover the bruise on your face with your hair when she wasn't looking.

You walked over to Isabela's bed sitting next to her, starting to have a convo until she asked if she could do your hair, which was a big no no for you currently. You couldn't let her see your bruise, no. "Can we maybe do something different today?" You asked polietly. Making Isabela frown slightly. "Um sure?" She said, making you somewhat relieved. "So what do you want to do then?" Isabela asked still a little confused. "Um, maybe a tickle fight?" You said grinning. "If you say so..." Isabela playfully smirked. All could be heard in the room was laughing, until, something happened.

You looked up at her confused to why she had stopped, "what's wrong Isabela?" You questioned. "Um, (y/n) why do you have a giant bruise on your face? Is everything okay?"

You then gasped, seeing your hair was no longer hiding the bruise.

'Shit!'

"Oh that, I just fell and hit my head really hard that's all." You lied, hoping she would believe the lie. But she did not instead replying. "I don't think falling over would cause that much of a bruise (y/n). Now please tell me what's really going on." Isabela said gently, now holding your hands. "I can't say anything." You said blankly. "(Y/n)...Please."

"I-I'm being abused...."

When you said it, it made you look away not wanting to talk or think about it. "Why didn't you tell me (Y/n)...?" Isabela asked in sorrow. "Because if I said anything my parents would beat me." "Y-your parents are abusing you?" You nodded softly. "Would you like to stay here tonight?" Isabela offered. "I don't know..." "Please (y/n), it's for your safety." "Alright then..." You said in defeat, but somewhat feeling safe now that you were with Isabela for the night. But again it was only a night. Who knows what your parents would do to you when you got back...

You eventually ended up falling asleep, which was the perfect time for Isabela to go pay a vist to your parents. As she traveled there all she could think of revenge, how dare someone hurt her darling. It was your parents as well, Isabela felt disgusted how they still dared to say they were your parents.

Isabela stormed into your house, making her way to your parents room. Once she was in there, she started to strangle one of your parents with a vine. Doing the same to the other, until both of them were dead. "Such pathetic excuses of parents." She mumbled to the corpses.

Isabela went back to Casita walking back into her room where you were still sleeping, she smiled. Walking over to you, stroking your hair with her hand.

No one would ever touch her beloved, again...If they did they would pay..

You mentioned in a recent post the theory that Howard stark knew the winter soldiers identity. I’ve thought about that possibility before as well. I wondered if you have further “evidence” for this besides how easily he recognized Bucky during the car crash? I feel like there’s more that I can’t think of

I've never done any meta on that (maybe there is more evidence but I'm not really au fais w/ HS's canon appearances so I can't say. Maybe someone who's thought about this more deeply could jump in in the notes?)

A couple of points on this:

Someone did point out the other day that Stark and Peggy had access to Zola's mind (his brain/computer) from the 1970s. And he knew Bucky's identity, making it possible and even likely for them to know as of then, at least, if they didn't already.

It's hard to believe either would do anything about it if they did know, before. As per AC show, Peggy knew about similar things happening to little girls, from the 1940s on, and didn't do anything about it (the Red Room). Instead she hired the scientist they found at the Red Room. 🤦‍♀️ (Bad Spying 101.)

So why would she and Stark go out of their way to help the man whose very existence is such a threat to the myth that they have built around themselves and continue to dine out off? (ie. that they are Good Noble Antifa people who knew Captain America, personally. 😌)

The Soldier's treatment on their watch (the proof of Hydra's continued existence; their complicity and incompetence) and Bucky's personal history with Steve would put the lie to their claims, and torpedo what they really value; their image.

They wouldn't help Bucky if they did know.

The last of Steve's blood was destroyed in the AC show, so how else did Howard get new samples (in order to recreate the serum himself and/or work with someone else who already did that, viz his buddy 'Arnie' Zola) unless they were provided to him by Zola?

Where did Howard think this (fresh blood, many decades later) came from?

(Bucky and Isaiah are the only possible living sources for samples.)

But: Hydra sent the Winter Soldier to kill Howard... without his muzzle on.

Why would they stop hiding his identity, suddenly, and never do that on any other occasion, unless they already knew it was a moot point? (i.e. because Howard already knew who he was, so there was no point concealing it?)

I mean, they had him muzzled to go kill Fury and complete strangers, who wouldn't even have recognised his face, so why unmask for Howard?

Why did Howard not sound surprised to see 'Sergeant Barnes' (whom he easily identified when even Steve himself couldn't) but merely... resigned?

Why would Howard be unsurprised (viz. expecting) that Sergeant Barnes specifically would be coming to kill him, after he had acquired Winter Soldier serum samples from... Somebody?

How did Howard recognise the Winter Soldier as Bucky, in the dark, while disorientated from a head wound, with blood in his eyes, and Bucky's long hair in his face, and him looking drastically different from how he used to look...

and when Howard is never actually shown meeting Bucky?

Bucky's arm is made by Hydra out of vibranium.

(We know it is, because T'Challa reacts with shock and horror when he sees it up close; he is visibly taken aback.)

How did Hydra get that vibranium?

Are we supposed to believe that zealously-isolationist Wakanda would willingly hand over its most precious commodity to an American intelligence agency? (What if apparently tried to claim this. Utter Imperialist nonsense.)

Isn't the unlikelihood of this like a major plot point in both Black Panther (and rumoured to be relevant to future MCU film plots?)

The only person outside Wakanda shown having access to vibranium, during the period when Bucky's arm was created, is Howard Stark. (And post Howard Stark, the only people with vibranium outside Wakanda are outright villains.)

It's the most valuable metal on the planet. Is Howard, who has some, likely to let someone else take that much vibranium off him without even being shown what it's going to be used for?

Also, the only person shown making mecha designs during that period, is not a Stark -- it's Arnim Zola.

But then What If had (guess who?) Howard Stark doing mecha designs during WW2. Which would make him even more likely to be the original designer of Bucky's arm. 🤦‍♀️

Under the cut I only briefly tell, how this one day/morning went, when Daniel decided to leave me. 😞😢

Start

Daniel came home very late that day/night and I was mad at him. He couldn’t sleep, which he never really did the last days anyway. He often just sat there awake at night, watching me sleep. Still, this time something was different. Daniel looked totally devastated.

I was so worried. I knew it had to be something really serious. He could barely talk. I thought he was gonna...... cry or something. I swear, he looked deeply sad and kind of.... shocked? I’ve never seen Daniel like that.

Me: Daniel?... What’s wrong? Please tell me what’s bothering you.

Daniel: I-.. I can't. I don't wanna hurt you..... And...I can’t take it with you... but I don’t want to leave you. Ily sm. You did nothing wrong... I-... I did something really bad. But like I said, I can't tell you. It might hurt you. It's serious and... also dangerous. I screwed up, I ruined everything with it. 😞

Me: Please, tell me. I just want to help you! You can trust me, I won’t get mad. We're married, we can fix it. I'll do my best, okay...no matter what you did, Ily.😟

Daniel: You don't understand. I just can’t tell you!! I want it, but..ugh. However, I just have to..... forget and repress it somehow. But it’s all really hard for me. I-.... I can't handle it rn... Maybe I should.... stay away from you. 😞

Me: I see you’ve been torturing yourself for days for something that’s getting worse. But I won’t let us lose each other. Please baby. You need me & I you.... I don't care what you did. Come, lay with me & hug me. 🙁

Daniel: I'm so sorry. I just want to protect you.

Me: It's ok, D. I'm there. You don’t have to tell me. I don’t want to put any more pressure & stress on you. Soon you'll get better and we'll talk.

Daniel: I hope you can forgive me someday.

Me: 😟😟...... 😢

A few hours later I had to get up. Daniel said he'll stay at home. He wasn’t well and I wish I hadn’t gone to work that day. But he fell asleep. I was gonna talk to him later, after work. Maybe he’ll get better after he’s slept and rested?... Anyway, I took Daniel’s phone before I left. I checked his messages. I thought maybe I could find out? What he meant? What he did? I thought it had something to do with Tina. I noticed a strange text between him and Domnick. It was about that night in the club. Daniel texted Domnick, that he couldn't forget what Tina said to him. I got kind of mad.... And the way Daniel spoke to me tonight, it sounded like he had a guilty conscience towards me. He said he made a mistake and didn’t want to hurt me. He just wanted to forget this thing and protect me. My guess was that he wanted to protect me from Tina, because she acted like a crazy stalker and also harmed Irena. I mean what else could it be??

But ugh, I was so wrong! Why he left, he will tell me months later. Anyway, it has nothing to do with Tina, it was about that damn drug he and I were hooked on. And yes, I get why he didn't tell me.🤦‍♀️It was BAD!... Still, UGH! I wish he’d confided in me.

When I came home in the afternoon after work, Daniel was gone. He just texted me that he was sorry but he couldn’t stay with me. I shouldn’t call him or look for him, he will call me one day. But first he's to finde out, what's right for him. 🤨 Of course I called him, but Daniel’s phone was off and he also said goodbye to his sister. He told her the same thing he told me. However she couldn't stop him. I think if Daniel hadn’t suffered from that mental disorder, he would have decided otherwise.

He left on March 3rd. Now 2 weeks have passed without a sign from him. The more days and weeks passed, the more I believed that he really left me because of Tina.

Warning: contains double meaning and a bit of verbal violence, let's say I wasn't having a good day, blame it on this lasat that I love and drives me crazy 💜

💜I mean, this particular Lasat isn't 🤦‍♀️, but he's still a man! Kanan made a proposal for Ezra to become a trained Jedi and this automatically integrates him into our team. I heard stories told by my father about this creed and the heroic acts of these people in the clone wars, the only Jedi I knew up close was our leader. So I was curious to see the boy's training up close, but when I climbed up the hatch, I saw Zeb shaking the boy and bullying him while he was training: "Come on kid, do something, amuse me, use the force! 🥴 o What? I can't believe he's messing with the poor guy."The circus opened early, didn't it?" I wanted to know, showing disgust by looking at him as I balanced on top of the Ghost and placed my hands on him. my waist. Zeb turns his head and looks at me without any guilt for playing"Good morning to you too, little girl" he smiled and then rolled his eyes as if I was talking nonsense, I reacted"Are you going to start? You gave the boy a chance and came to be on top of me, don't call me a little girl, respect me.” I asked, insulted, but not to the point of getting excited, jokingly, and early in the morning, of course!"Calm down girl, I was just trying to cheer you up, I saw you woke up in a bad mood, you ate this morning, right?" He played with his wrinkled face without shaking. I threw the shuttlecock he threw back, but it was hot:"Be quiet" I turned around "I'm not kidding and neither is Ezra" I pointed to the blue-haired boy who until then was paying attention to the discussion, he asks Kanan"She can stay" Ezra says without objection "But does he have to be here?" he asked irritably, looking displeased with Zeb who was just laughing and me looking seriously at the playful lasat. Kanan says distractions will always happen and he needed to focus on training. For me, Ezra would have my support:"Honey, you can pretend I'm not here, that WE're not here" I emphasized, shooting Zeb with blaster eyes. Kanan says: "I appreciate the motivation, but he has to learn to work around distractions and obstacles"The green-eyed humanoid responds:"I don't think what you want is going to happen..." Zeb looks at me from head to toe and then at Ezra, who immediately looks away trying to focus on Kanan. I was about to demonstrate an unpublished chapter of (Why Do Men Live Shorter?)"Garazeb, you're wanting to get punched, aren't you?!" I shouted, walking heavily towards him, but he showed no fear, until the ship rocked a little and I was forced to stop immediately.

Zeb laughs when he sees me unable to hit him and puts his arms around his waist. “You better be careful girl, that wind could blow you away…” Zeb retorts, mocking me. My eyes made a small twitching movement, I was offended, irritated and surprised! But I took a deep breath and asked Zeb for a favor "Hey, can you do something for me?" and I said each word slowly "fuck you…" Kanan cut me off with his arms up “Hey, hey, sir and miss, there are children on the nave terrace.” Ezra objects: "Uh Kanan, now that plate is about to pick up!" Ezra says frustrated thinking he would hear a shack or something. Looking at the boy, I came to my senses: "Yeah, he's right, no exaltation in front of the boy", Kanan snaps his two index fingers and thumbs as if he were calling a loth cat "Hey, let's focus here? Please? Thank you, Ezra, let's get started" Zeb whispers "I have no guarantees I'll be polite" he laughs mischievously and looks at me, wanting to make me lose my head. I frowned back and looked at him for a long time as I walked carefully, arousing muffled laughter from Zeb, who was clearly making fun of my difficulty in staying upright, but before I could say anything I heard a (auh), I found out. which was Chopper running over Lasat's feet, the droid made a sound that could be considered a laugh, after Zeb recovered from the pain he said "we'll talk inside your trash can" he banged his fist and I walked past Zeb calmly and smiling I scoffed at him as I grabbed Chopper's little mechanical arm "thank you, tin boy" I thanked him gently as the mechanical star helped me walk across the surface of the Ghost.

Now I felt that the training was going to be taken seriously. Kanan wanted Ezra to practice lightsaber blows to get rid of the throws that would be made by Chopper, he brought a crate full of empty milk cartons, they would be used to be thrown at the boy, I thought, now, the boy was going to evolve. Chopper started the throws, Ezra was not there and defending as Kanan would have liked, the packages hit Ezra squarely " oh no.." I thought and with pity I said " Hey Chopper, slow down…" Kanan interrupted "Unfortunately the enemy will not reduce the intensity of the attacks" and the worst thing is that he was right, but… wasn't he demanding too much from the boy??? Like, he could take it easy, now that he's starting to understand about this Jedi stuff. As he reflected, Chopper's attacks did not cease.

I thought it could get worse, and I dare say that was the damn moment I thought about this possibility, I look at Zeb and he explicitly reveals to me that he is trying to play in bad taste, he looks at the box and then at me, shaking his head slowly (yes) . I moved too, but suspiciously and swaying (not) slowly, he insisted but a little faster, I followed the rhythm, expressing a serious no with my head, he didn't stop! my head started to hurt (the bitching started) I thought and concluded that there was no way to stop: He quickly took the package and said while I looked at him in disbelief "that's it, boy. Use your body to slow down this rubbish" Oh no, he He already called the boy trash! I shouted in protest: "Stop! Leave the boy! What are you doing?" and there he goes, throwing everything he had at the unfortunate apprentice. And Chopper was contributing to this by throwing boxes and more boxes wildly and Ezra wasn't balancing himself perfectly to counter the blows. I couldn't believe that Chopper also joined in on the fun "The bonfire is burning and you're throwing firewood, right?!" 😑

And Kanan seemed frustrated and disappointed at the same time, wondering that Ezra wasn't concentrating as he should, the boy was struggling miserably against the thrown trash, the more he struggled to protect himself, the faster the objects flew at him, hitting him more and more. more. Zeb was amused by Ezra's misfortune while I felt sorry for the unlucky boy. Garazeb takes a package and tries to put it in mine hand saying "try the fun ha ha ha" he suggested laughing, I was intrigued by this attitude and opened my mouth in the form of the letter o, I gritted my teeth and slapped his gigantic hand in refusal "I WANT THAT NO" and the rubbish bounced around the terrace "because you're such a kid, huh?? stop nonsense before something shit happens" Zeb asks me without scruple and with irony "Karabast, why are women usually so emotional and specifically, why are girls so emotional?" with a disgraceful emphasis. Zeb wasn't the sexist type or made light of the opposite sex, but I was sure he only said those things to make me blush in anger and he succeeded and I shouted: "I'LL HIT YOU ZEB!!!" I said, determined to take the life of the only lasat I knew "do you want to be erased from the galactic census?! Do you?!"

"Lollah, you don't feel like doing that, do you?" Zeb asked thought-provokingly. “You don’t have the courage…” "I have!" I said with conviction "the greatest desire in the world is to break you after this". Zeb jokes with me, from his tone, he was enjoying seeing me angry: "I'm sure that's not your wish" He said without mincing words "You like this type of dynamic" he laughs. "I don't like it, Zeb!" "Calling me by my name, Lollah?" he mocks "if he was mad, he would be cursing me anyway" my God, the way he calls me by my name is giving me butterflies! Or it could be stomach problems too, but I was getting furious: "It's because there are children on the terrace, you meiloorun head!!!" I screamed mercilessly. Zeb thought it was all funny, apparently. He pretended to be hurt: "Wow, that was hard, that was strong" "Go comb wookies Zeb, you're not even sad" I said without giving a damn. 🧨🧨🧨🧨🧨

As I prepared to kill him, Chopper still threw uncontrollably at Ezra, until the worst happened: Ezra, after so many blows from the packaging, lost his balance and ended up falling from the ship, making me and Zeb scream at the same time. "Kid!" We stopped everything, Kanan asked the two of us to go down and open the boarding ramp while he lifted the boy back with the Force for us to catch him. With the ramp open, we were ready to catch Ezra, Zeb stretched his hands to the edge and I held him by the other hand so he wouldn't fall. with irony he said "Your strength assures me, you know?" I hissed: "Be quiet and catch this boy! I can see him from here" I could see Ezra being taken through the air towards us and Zeb stretching to reach him. We hear a Kanan getting exhausted levitating Ezra, pressing Zeb: "Zeeeeb! you heard her! keep quiet and catch this boy!" It was the last thing we heard when Kanan gave in and ended up releasing Ezra from the levitation, making Zeb act quickly and grab the boy's hands "Got him!" . Which made me put my hands on my chest and sigh in relief. Zeb lifts the boy into the ship and they both fall, taking me with them and making me fall on top of his chest, I realized my position about 10 seconds later and I admit that I was a little embarrassed and Zeb didn't seem embarrassed, or he's probably pretending well. , whatnot . The same person said: "You don't look like you want to hit me now, right? Hehe" he placed his elbows on the ground. Honestly, no, I didn't want to hit him anymore, I think the adrenaline of saving the boy from a nasty fall and being cushioned by his robust body evaporated what I wanted to do before. I just wanted to get up, take a cold shower and eat something greasy to forget Zeb's childishness, which for a moment made me furious. It had already passed. So I said politely "if you'll excuse me, I need to get up" I got off of him, composing myself and going to do what I wanted since I woke up "I'm going to recharge.🥞🌮" When I got up, Zeb noticed that Ezra was also on top of him cushioned by the fall , which made him a little disgusted 🤭, Ezra didn't look happy either. As I disappeared down the ship's hallway, Zeb commented to Ezra, "I should have known she hadn't put anything in her mouth."

Okay, this is going to get interesting... Lol.

First off, the chance of him meeting you is slim, depending on what you are exactly...

If you were one of Pan's lost boys, then you meet in battle, same if you were with a navy police crew (Sorry, not sure what they were actually called in the show... I don't remember. 😭😅)

However, if you were just a regular old towny then you two would probably meet at a bar.

You are a bartender for this story!

Anyways, Killian's first instinct is to flirt with you.

And when I say flirt, I mean FLIRT!

This boy-no, I mean Man- isn't shy at all.

He knows he's good-looking, and he uses it to his advantage to try and get you...

(Mind you, at first, he isn't a yandere for you... This is just him thinking you're hot... Lol)

It gets worse as he keeps drinking.

Though he has a high tolerance to alcohol, sooo... He knows exactly what he's doing.

Anyways, when you reject him, he was shocked and a little let-down, but that doesn't stop him from pursuing you.

(This guy just can't take no for an answer 🙄😔)

Every once in a while, he'd return to the bar, get some drinks, and flirt with you, only to be rejected.

This became his weekly routine with his crew.

You found it somewhat charming and enjoyed all of their company.

They are rowdy pirates who knew how to have fun, after all.

Even though their captain can't take a hint, you did like him.

He was easy to talk to, at least when people weren't trying to flirt with you.

What I mean is that every time someone other than Killian tries to flirt with you, Killian would get all possessive and defensive.

Mainly, he would scare them off, but when they don't take the hint, things get a little messy- though half the time, you'd stop them before anything happens.

Of course, the crew noticed this, and it has happened so many times to the point where they'd started calling you Killian's toy.

Even the towns folk started calling you that.

It irritated you to no end, of course. Every time someone brought it up, you would always correct them.

However, you did appreciate that Killian defended you; you, however, did not like that he 'clams you' as "his."

The only thing you ever wanted was a normal life and to one day share it with your very own loving family.

Anyways, the day when Killian's yandere mode switched on was the day when he found you kissing a person.

It's kind of his fault, to be honest with you...

What I mean is that he shouldn't be surprised, let alone hurt by this.

You told him countless times that you were already taken.

But every time you tried to tell him, it would only go into deaf ears.

Seriously, this dude only hears what he wants to hear. 🙄🤦‍♀️

Yet, of course, he misunderstood this situation a little too hard...

He thought the guy was forcing himself onto you.

Perhaps he only saw this situation like that because he deeply believed that you loved him and that you were only playing hard to get.

And, of course, there was no doubt that he may have been a little drunk too...

Anyways, as a good man should, he would go and defend you.

And by defending... I mean, he would go beat up your boy/girlfriend in front of you and not listen to a word you say until you smack him.

Obviously, you were mad at him. You explained multiple times that you weren't interested and that you were taken.

So, it's quite clear when I say your situation-ship, which is what Killian likes to call it, was hindered.

The worst part, or at least to you, was the fact that it hindered your relationship with your partner. They were upset at the fact that they never heard of Killian or how he constantly flirted with you.

Though you guys didn't break up, which upsetted Killian.

He was actually glad to see you two fighting.

He saw your partner as an obstacle, and, well, he won't let this stop him from getting what he wants.

Now, on to the darker part of the story...

Killian won't hesitate to get rid of this obstacle.

Whether that's kidnapping them, blackmailing them, or just plain out killing them.

Of course, that would be the very last option.

He's still a gentleman, after all...

He'd find other ways to make your spouse leave.

And it would work.

They'd just leave. They wouldn't even leave a note.

Of course, this hurt you a lot.

I mean, you were together for a long while...

Anyways, this gives Killian the opportunity he needs!

The opportunity where he can show you he 'isn't' your enemy.

He would treat you extra special during your time of need.

He would become your shoulder to cry on.

He'd do everything in his power to dig himself into your heart.

He'd even stalk you...

NOT in a perverted way... He refuses to let himself slip that far low.

Anyways, he'd stalk you just to get to know you better.

You could say he's just very impatient, at least with you.

He wants to know EVERYTHING about you.

So, when he needed to, he'd buy you gifts.

The kind of gifts that you've always wanted but never told anyone.

This, of course, made you wonder how he knew...

But every time you'd ask him about it- he'd just say-

"It just reminded me of you." Then he'd smile and continue with the day.

However, when I say he isn't perverted... he really isn't but he'd take this from you.

Only small things like bracelets.

Then when you wonder where it went, he'd either give it back with the excuse that he found it, or he wouldn't, and you'd be wondering for much longer.

He liked that he had a sense of power over you. Whether you knew it or not.

Now, after the whole sweet talking, gift-giving-comfort stage, is him being a bit more 'manipulative.'

You had finally gotten over your exes and now was his chance.

You, of course, weren't ready for romance and you were honestly just very tired, but he convinced you.

At least to give him a chance.

So, you guys went out on dates.

The more you did, the more he'd make small comments.

Comments that would gaslight you.

Comments that would manipulate you.

Comments that would shape you into the perfect little darling for him.

You never even noticed.

You were so sure that he was in love with you because of all his past tries.

And you actually valued his opinion because he was so sweet to you when you needed a shoulder to cry on.

Now, this is the darkest part...

If you didn't end up falling for him after the last stage, then he'd just kidnap you.

Of course, kidnapping you was plan B.

If plan A worked, then he'd just continue to manipulate you slowly with every day.

This would go on till you officially lost your confidence and the will to be your own person.

You would never even notice how bad it has gotten.

You'd slowly stop hanging out with your friends because of him.

In fact, you'd stop going out completely.

You'd lose your job too.

It was because of a customer.

You thought it was your fault, but it was actually one of Killian's minions.

He told them to make you look really bad.

Thus, you got fired and your mental health was on the dirt.

At least you have your house, right? WRONG!

He'd take that too.

He'd blackmail your landlord.

Or steal your tax payments.

(If they're online, then he'd get someone to hack the system) just so you'd lose your house.

And now all you have is him.

And you're so depressed to the point where you can't risk losing him too.

So, you'd do anything to keep him.

After all, he did take you in. Like a loving, supporting boyfriend would do.

He even told you not to bother getting another job because he can support you and himself. All he said was-

"Just focus on your mental health, okay?"

You appreciated it quite a lot, but you didn't know you only fell into his trap further.

It was a messed-up plan, yeah, but it was better than forcing you to love him.

Now plan B.

Plan B is when you reject him even after everything.

This pissed him off a little too much.

What I mean is that he completely lost his patience.

After all, he did try being the nice guy for you, but he guesses you're just not into that.

So instead, he kidnaps you.

Of course, he made an elaborate plan to do so.

One where no one will ever find out.

And (for the sake of the story-) It worked.

Now you were down below the deck, tied up in his ship.

You were scared and confused.

And when you found out that he was behind this, you were MAD.

Especially when you found out everything...

You fought him so hard to the point where he'd have to knock you out each time.

He hated that, of course, but you wouldn't stop.

You'd throw a tantrum every time someone would go into the room you were locked in.

But soon enough, you lost your energy...

That doesn't mean you stopped trying, though.

You just stopped screaming at him to let you go when you realized that was never going to happen.

Of course, every time Killian would try to get close and touch you, you'd instantly fight back.

However, like I said, you've lost your energy, so this time, you're going to try something else...

Escaping!

You knew it was a long shot, but you couldn't just sit there anymore.

You were fueled by your anger.

So you've tried fighting your way out when the dude, who guards your door, enters to give you food.

You failed.

And you've failed many more times.

Killian was getting sick of this to the point where he had more guys watching over you.

He, of course, punished you too. Whether that be him not giving you food for the day or something else small like that.

However, he didn't expect for you to find a more clever way out.

You were escaping from the vents.

When he didn't find you in the room, he panicked and had everyone look for you.

You've gotten so far... all the way to the deck.

That's when he saw you, and you saw a small escape boat.

You ran for it, but he ran faster and tackled you.

That was the last time he let you out of his sight.

Now, you had to be where he was at all times.

It sucked, but at least you weren't in a room.

You basically lost all hope at this point, and your mental health got worse.

Especially when he punished you for almost escaping. You cried so much that night.

He was so mad he didn't even let anyone go into your room to feed you.

So, you starved for that day. Thus, this gave you a different idea of escaping.

DEATH.

You already lost all hope, and you hated everything, so why not?

You tried starving yourself... but when Killian realized- that didn't work.

He forced feed you himself. Of course, he was delusional enough to know you tried doing this in order to escape him.

No matter how many times he tells himself he hated punishing you, he secretly loved it.

He loved how you would squirm beneath him.

It always turned him on.

Though he'd never force himself onto you.

He has morals, after all...

Another thing you tried to do was hold in your breath when he wasn't looking, though this time your own body fought you back.

Meaning you only passed out. And Killian did question how, but when he realized that you were perfectly fine after, he didn't worry too much about it.

You didn't really gain much from that... But it did give you a better idea...

Hurt yourself so much he'd be forced to take you to a hospital!

That failed miserably, too...

It was during dinner.

You sat there with him, eating a gourmet meal.

You grabbed the knife and hesitated...

He looked at you questioningly but continued eating.

Then you quickly stabbed your leg.

You cried out, obviously because you were never stabbed before.

He just laughed as he grabbed you.

Food was still in his mouth.

He laid you down on the ground and swallowed.

All you did was cry out as he whistled, and someone quickly ran in with a med kit.

What surprised you was that they left soon after.

You questioned it only to realize that Killian was treating you...

"Now, this is going to hurt." He then quickly pulled the knife out, and you screamed.

Soon enough, he was wrapping your wound.

And he was saying stuff like-

"You really thought I wouldn't know how to take care of a stab wound?"

You didn't think that far ahead.

Now, you did have the opportunity to stab yourself at a place where you knew you wouldn't come back from... but you just couldn't.

Perhaps you only hesitated because deep down, you really didn't want to die, but you also didn't want to live like this.

It's sad, but you have no choice.

Soon enough, you've lost all your will, and he has gotten everything out of you.

Including kids...

this is random, sorry %). In PoA movie Remus says about Lily "She had a way of seeing the beauty in others. Even, and most especially, when that person could not see it in themselves." It clashes with books where Remus never mentioned her name XD but okay, her friendship with Snape applies. And I think - Lily actually shared this trait with James. Dark wizard family heir, a werewolf, weak boy with cruel streak - he went and become their friend.

In all honesty, I am not much of a fan when it comes to HP movies. They are very misleading, and the whole - straying from the original plot - gets worse and worse with every movie. 🤦‍♀️

But let us assume that what Lupin said in the movie is something that is mentioned in the book as well, because apart from that, the book can give us more information on Lily's character, things that the movie denied the audience.

Most people in the fandom see her as nothing but a random girl who went and got married to James Potter to be Harry's mom whose sacrifice was necessary for the plot, but I think she was more than just a random girl with a history of refusing James' advances. True, we didn't see much of her ( and James) which is sad, but those small flashbacks show us that she was more than just a random girl and she had fire in her.

In the books, it is not explicitly mentioned anything about Lily and Lupin, but his reaction in the lake thing when Lily tried to stop James was not friendly towards Lily. What I mean by not friendly is not seeing her as a foe, I mean not interacting much or acknowledging, BUT I believe that Lily is kind and sees the best in people ( to a logical degree ) as much as she can until she can't. We see that she tries to see the positive traits of the marauders despite the fact that she was not really fond of them at that time in this conversation in the books.

"They sneak out at night. There's something weird about that Lupin. Where does he keep going?"

"He is ill, " said Lily. "They say he's ill — "

"Every month at the full moon?" said Snape.

"I know your theory," said Lily, and she sounded cold. "Why are you so obsessed with them anyway? Why do you care what they're doing at night?"

HP and the deathly Hallows - pages 673-674

She is not stupid. She is smart and probably has her own doubts as well, but she doesn't want to dive in the whole thing, not because she is not talented or not brave enough, because she can feel that this a personal problem and if Dumbledore is involved, it is a serious one. But the marauders are different from her, they are this small chain of friends with no intruders allowed despite being popular in the school, so she knows that nothing personal exists between them when it comes to Lupin's illness. She gets the fact that she should stay away and not meddle, because in the most simple term it doesn't have anything to do with her. I think if we want to link Lily's character and her relationship with Lupin during Hogwarts before dating James, this can be exhibit A and in some sense, it backs up what Lupin said in the movie, despite it was in POA and this conversation happened in the DH.

Same goes for Snape as you put it. She tries to continue and save her friendship with him because obviously she cherishes him as a friend until what happened at the lake.

"It's too late. I've made excuses for you for years."

HP and the deathly Hallows - page 675

So yes, she tries to see the good in people until she can't. ( also I have to mention the discussion here is about Lily not Snape )

Now, let's talk about James. I think James has that kind of character who doesn't make excuses for who he is friends with because he won't befriend anyone who he doesn't see worthy. Sirius Black? James was a bit biased at first in train, but Sirius was so easy-going and unbiased towards Slytherin and later showed such a sharp tongue and quick wit that James practically swooned. Remus Lupin? After spending time with him and knowing him, he was not a werewolf in James' idea, he was a friend worth having despite the risks. Peter Pettigrew? Despite what many people in the fandom think, I don't see James befriending him out of pity. James Potter had a big kind heart but he was not a type to stay in a friend group with a person who was pitiful. I think James saw Peter as friend who despite not being talented like he and Sirius, was a good company and a worthy friend. Yes, a great mistake that cost him his life, but that's for another discussion.

I don't find it strange that Lily was trying hard not to cut ties with Snape, considering the fact that he was her first friend from the wizarding world and who introduced her to the notion of magic BUT we have to pay attention to the fact that James was a lonely child that despite growing up in a wizarding family and being spoiled rotten, didn't have any friends before Sirius and later Remus and Peter. James and Lily were in the same boat with different dimensions.

So yes, your thoughts are absolutely correct with the small addition of my humble opinion that James and Lily's kindness is very different, specially in friendship.

Lily can cut ties but James either won't befriend or never cut ties, something so beautiful and tragic in his young life.

Must be time to do another SCM Ramble/ Review post and to go with yesterday's two White Day special story sets here is the other one! This post contains:

White Day Treats for a Crimson-Lipped Goddess

The stories in this are set after the Valentine's Day 'To the Victor Goes the Spoils' stories and as such this set features stories for: Leon, Scorpio, Huedhaut, Zyglavis, and Aigonorus.

Spoilers under cut. Oh and maybe some gushing, cos Zyglavis' and Aigo's stories in this set? 🥰 (Hue? 🤦‍♀️ )

Leon: Flowers of Love Bloom in the Sky

I can't quite believe that from his POV chapter in this that it was technically Ichthys who planted the idea in his head to actually use his powers for once...

Anyway, Leon is actually internally very contemplative and trying his hardest to understand why human holidays matter so much. His internal monologue even admits he's just learnt something from Partheno of all people. Leon is still learning and growing and once again this story shows why it's so important to have these stories from their point of view.

One thing that did stand out to me when re-reading this is that Karno's gift in this is technically the same thing as he uses in the Victor goes the Spoils - presumably untampered with this time. No-one brings that up though... I wonder whether that's just Karno deliberately reminding Leon about Valentine's to make sure things run smoothly?

As to Leon's eventual gift in this one? It's really touching and thoughtful and calls back very nicely to Leon's main story.

Scorpio: Your Colour

Oh sweet Scorpio. Your vague questions in order to be really touching always seem to end up backfiring somewhat and you don't think before snapping if something unexpected throws a spanner in the works. Though, MC? I know you forgot it was White Day the following day but when the others mentioned that, could you maybe not have... yanno... put two and two together that maybe just maybe that was why Scorpio was suddenly interested in your makeup?

Oh gosh the stuff Scorpio blurts out to the sales assistant 🥰 I know you Scorpio you are not the angry irritated God you project there's far more to you than that. Also, talking about his POV chapter he actually makes it clear here that he's decided him and cooking don't mix. So I guess in my cooking post that moves him down a little (only a very little mind, his stuff you could still eat...)

Huedhaut: Tones of your Future

Oh Hue! Hue please!!!!!!!

I am going to forbid you from putting your forehead against MC's at this rate.

I mean honestly, Hue: You see she's crying in the future but you don't know why, or what, or whether it was definitely even you who caused it (though you seem to think it was)? Yeah you letting it slip to the other Gods and their comments probably didn't help your brooding but your conclusion as to what to do was to stay away from MC for a while? HUE!

No wonder Teo scolded him later. Yes it's Teo that gets Hue out of this funk, his actions seemingly shocking both Hue and later MC when Hue tells her who snapped him out of it.

Hue's actual White Day gift is really moving and no wonder MC cried. This story probably shows more than most why Hue's divine power is not one you want. He must be so stressed all the time.

Though... Hue? As it turns out that you ended where your vision was and it actually wasn't a bad thing at all, you could have actually had your White Day date as well.

Thank you for pushing him to go see MC, Teo. Though I think the wish he'd received also made him realise what an idiot he was being.

Hue you really are a worrier aren't you? In an attempt to make sure you kept MC happy and avoided anything potentially negative you actually made things worse.

Oh Hue... *hugs him tightly*

Zyglavis: Love Cannot be Planned

A massive change in tone here and oh my word this story. This story! It's not just one of my favourite Zyglavis stories, it's one of my favourite stories featuring Ichthys that isn't in his own route.

Ichthys hasn't forgotten about the Valentine's Day Punishment and now he's come up with A PLAN. A plan that all the others are trying to tell him not to be foolhardy about and don't even try it but nope Ichthys here is on a mission!

That mission appears to MC & Zig to be a battle of who can give the best White Day present but no... this is actually Ichthys trying to humiliate Zyglavis in front of all the others.

I can't help but feel having read this story that Ichthys is a million years too early to be able to get the upper hand on Zyglavis. Of course Zyglavis is so suspicious about what is actually going on he looks further into things.

Everything Zyglavis does here is wonderful. And even he admits because of Ichthys' ridiculous present battle he thought more about what to give MC and is happier with what he chose as a result.

Aigonorus: A Sweet Trap

Oh Aigo, I really do adore him. I wish Aigo had more content because he's so sweet, loveable, cuddly, and determined once he gets a clear idea in mind.

I love how once MC has explained White Day so he understands, he immediately drags her off to get her to pick something out. Aigo is so impulsive and impatient sometimes but in a really sweet way.

I'm also gonna have to include this screenshot from his point of view story when he's first trying to make what he finally decides on giving MC as a White Day gift because 🤣 :-

If anything shows how pure and kind hearted he is though is what happens after he sees an article saying that his gift has negative connotations and thus refuses to give it to MC even though he spent many days perfecting it...

Cos what he was gonna give her was what she has given him in the past and here he never once thinks that what she gave him could have been negative in any way. And yet he still worries that his would be taken negatively.

Aigo really is one of the kindest, sweetest, most caring of all the Zodiac Gods. And I hope in the routes other than his own he finds love from somewhere and realises that that Goddess was just a jerk. Aigo deserves the world.

Can we agree that even Steve x Peggy definitely problematic but at least Peggy look interest and like with Steve and they both look like each other while loki x sylvie, yeah they keep saying they in love but look likely only loki and sylvie look disgust with loki

If you put polling which ship that more good and more have chemistry between Steve x Peggy and loki x sylvie, I believe that Steve x Peggy will become winner

I understand where you're coming from but in a way, I think that's all due to framing.

Both are similar characters in that they were framed as always right and any wrongdoing on their part was either swept under the rug or directly framed-to-deceive in order to paint it as right even when it was wrong. And of course in both cases the men were shown drooling over them (and they were the only women around and/or the women surrounding them were written as enemies or villains. It's funny to point out though that even in TFA when Steve disagrees or downright ignores Saint Maggy, the MCU still tries to act like he followed her like a lost puppy? It's so freaking weird? Watch your own movies?)

The main difference is Sylvie was introduced as an enemy or a foil. Loki and her were supposed to go from enemies to friends (or lovers), whereas Saint Maggy was introduced as perfect and she has always been the only woman Steve was allowed to get close to or show any interest in. Sharon only made it so far before they turned her into a villain.

I never saw any love in either of those two relationships, if I'm being honest. In both cases we were told that, as long as the women in those two are happy and the men follow them, it is a perfect relationship... and then we're shown two occasions in which the men don't agree with the woman (Loki in the S1 finale) or they do something they don't like (Steve being kissed by Lorraine), and all hell breaks loose. And not only that, but we're told to agree with the women in those situations because apparently, it's feminist to do so? "Look how badass they are insulting the men or shooting at them! Girl power!" 🤦‍♀️

I just don't see any love there. I see possession and self-righteousness and a desperate need for control... but no love. We only think there's love in TFA thanks to the framing, they did a terrible job of writing that romance. And in the Loki series, Sylvie is absolutely awful to him (In S1, can't speak for S2) but we're told he deserves it anyway.

All in all, what I want is something like what Christine and Stephen had. Even though they didn't end up together, they have (and yes, I say have and not had because screw Waldron and his MoM) so much love between them. Or Wanda and Vision. Or Thor and Jane. Or Quill and Gamora. In fact, in that last one they're also introduced as enemies at first but their relationship evolves brilliantly because BOTH characters grow and change and improve. The problem with Saint Maggy and Sylvie is that we were told they were perfect from the get-go despite that not being true at all... so it is pretty tough to buy their romance with Loki/Steve since their core characterization is so defective to begin with.
