Was unfortunately extremely busy the last few weeks and didn't think I would be able to manage anything for RexWalker Week; but I just had to illustrate something for my friend's fic because their writing for the week is bloody brilliant, and the Batakin AU is so very special.

James had a long day. First, he'd had to deal with two fifth years who thought they could get away with hexing Filtch's stupid cat, then he'd been late to Potions class where Slughorn had griped about the importance of punctuality, and to top it all off, he'd had to practice Quidditch in the rain. It was truly a horrendous day.

He pushed the door to the common room open, hoping that he could just go up to his dorm and sleep for twelve hours straight.

Except when he got to the common room, he spotted Lily Evans. She was lying on the couch, reading an advanced Charms book and taking up two of the cushions. Remus was sitting on the other end of the couch, reading as well, but James couldn't be bothered with that. All he could see was Lily.

Her stomach was pressed against the couch, and her knees were bent, feet dangling in the air. She had Muggle shorts on, the denim just peeking out under her jumper. Her hair was tied up in a ponytail, dark auburn strands obscuring part of the name on the back. But James would know that shirt anywhere. It was his Quidditch jumper.

"How was practice?" Sirius asked.

James' head snapped toward him where he was reclined in one of the arm chairs. He looked smug, but James couldn't be bothered with that either.

Lily was smiling at him when he turned his attention back to her.

"Is that my shirt?" he asked.

Lily's brows furrowed as she glanced down at the shirt. "Yeah? I was cold, and Remus said I could use it. Is that alright?"

James glanced at his friend. Remus was clearly biting back a grin as he turned a page in his book.

Really, he couldn't help what came out of his mouth, not when his name was plastered across Lily Evans' back. "You look good in my last name."

Lily just shook her head and grinned. What had he done to deserve such an amazing girlfriend?

"I think that was a proposal, Evans," Sirius said.

Lily flipped him off.

James cleared his throat. "Can I talk to you alone?"

Talking was the last thing on his mind.

Lily shrugged. "Sure." Then she hopped up and headed for the boy's dormitory.

"None of you come upstairs," James hissed.

Remus turned another page in his book. "Don't worry, James. None of us want to see you shag Lily."
