recently I've been seeing a shit ton of discourse about Princess Bubblegum on twt and how some people kinda view her as some sort of irredeemable bitch who does not deserve to be treated kindly by marceline or anyone and like,,,though couple of pb's actions are certainly morally questionable at best and outright unethical at worst,, people must know that adventure time has like 10 main seasons worth of pb character plot right? and like,,,doesn't the whole "we were messed-up kids who taught ourselves how to live" verse from the monster song like literally sum up why PB was the way she was until she decided to outgrow that-

Not to be a hater on main and this is entirely in jest (at least in terms of exaggerating how much it annoys me) but nothing fills me with more fury than thinking about how Modern!Harley Quinn’s design has her wear makeup and dye her hair tips two different colors, and yet those colors aren’t red and black, her thematic colors. Like, why the fuck does she wear pink and blue??? How does that relate to her outfit or design history at all? why has everyone accepted this??? What the fuck is wrong with us all for just accepting “yeah, this character who historically has been associated with red, black and white as a color scheme, should not only stop wearing a mask/hat and full body harlequin suit, but also should dye her hair cotton candy pink and blue and have no theme whatsoever”

Orchid Mantis Cookie lives in and rules a kingdom found inside of a large, hollow tree. The Mantis Kingdom is not very welcoming to new people. They are barely welcoming to each other. Despite this, they live in mild harmony under the guide of Orchid Mantis.

Orchid mantises are rare, and their mantis forms help protect the kingdom by using their flower mimicry as defense and food collection. This, along with the fact that he is as big as a female mantis, is why he is the ruler.

Mimi-Cry is a lump of clay that... well, it hates itself. It molds itself to mimic other things but can never keep the form up for long. Mimic-Cry feels attracted to Orchid Mantis because of this, since they both pretend to be things they are not. Mimi-Cry's favorite thing to mimic is flowers, like Orchid Mantis.

At first, Orchid did not like Mimic-Cry, but eventually, as it kept changing into different things to get him to love it back, he grew very fond and protective of the sentient clay lump. Mimic-Cry is now not allowed to leave his side, out of fear it could get hurt.
