Thinking about an AU where Techno, Wilbur and Tommy are all the harbingers of the actual entire apocalypse and Phil (just some insane guy) decides that those are in fact his kids and starts gaslighting the absolute shit out of them about it.

Rambles under cut!

I wanna try something where they're just more insidious and passive killers than anything else, theyre mostly just biding their time and watching as wherever they're lingering around gets sicker and just starts withering away.

They're a slow moving threat that just can't be stopped and for some reason (because Kristin thinks its funny) Phil just isnt affected by them.

Phil: Oh Techno's always been like that ever since he was a baby Techno: I have literally never met you a day in my life Tommy: Idk man... you have always been like that Wilbur: Oh my death he's actually getting to us

Its a mix of that combined with that "how did he know I was a gemini" meme

Phil: Wil! I brought you some salmon, I know how much you love it! Wilbur: How the fuck did you know I like salmon Phil: I'm your dad silly, of course I'd know :-)

I just think itd be super fun since Phil in this au is literally just some insane dude. He literally lies about their entire childhood but does it so consistently and so realistically that it throws them off guard.

I also have a few ideas where they start referring to Phil as their dad in the beginning as a sarcastic / mocking thing but accidentally just getting themselves even more adopted as they do it.

Phil: Wilbur put on a coat Wilbur: I don't need one! Techno: Go on, Wil. Listen to dad Wilbur: Ugh fine. Only because dad wants it, though

Stranger: Whos this? Tommy: Oh thats our dad. He kinda just tags along Stranger: Aww thats so sweet! You got his nose and everything Tommy: I- wh- no he's not actually our da- Phil: I know he did! Isn't he the cutest, spitting image isnt he? Tommy: You're not my dad! Stranger: Oh someones embarrassed! Phil: Yeah he's going through a rebellious phase right now

Just a mixture of things like that where it starts as calling him it but then accidentally actually giving him parental authority along with that.

I also wanna explore how Kristin and Phils relationship would be like. Maybe her as death being very bemused by this silly human that just decided she was his wife one day.

She literally visits him in dreams and stuff and he just acts as if they're married and have been for years. He complains about their 'rambunctious kids' and how he has to threaten them with her so that they behave sometimes. She finds it so silly and just cant help but play pretend.

Kristin: Hello, human Phil: My love! Its been so long since I've seen you Kristin: We've never met Phil: Oh don't say that! It hasnt been that long. I've just been far too occupied with our boys to visit too much Kristin: Our boys? I made them Phil: And they came out beautiful! I'm so glad Wil and Tech got your eyes. I was hoping they would.

I think that'd be a core part of this AU as well. Everyone is playing pretend but then it just fuzzies and it all becomes real for them. At first its a joke that Phil is her husband and their father but then they get lost in the fantasy and fun of it all and actually accept him as such.

Phil has no ulterior motives either, he's literally just a strange insane man that heard stories about neotrio and started thinking they were his kids one day. He genuinely believes his delusion and they end up accidentally making it a reality.

He just makes lucky guesses and plausible lies often enough that he's still shiny and new, he's still fun to play with and thats what ends up 'tricking' them all.

mannn i cant believe people are actually sending you anon hate for those tags. youre fine, you just worded the tags in a way that made people misunderstand what you were actually saying. its not your fault & i hope youre ok

i only got one anon‚ everybody else has just been raggin' on me in the tags and replies, and frankly i'm kinda annoyed at myself for wording it how i did, not my fault i prefer to use long words that corporations also like to use (its because it makes me feel like i have a "legal" out from my statements)

but yeah i really didn't expect to have anybody post my tags like that, i even added more tags to That post explaining how i just don't like thrillers and horror and would like to be able to see the same story as proposed in the post, no sanitization or anything, doesn't have to be any more palatable for me, just without the parts that'd keep me up at night, y'know?

i'm especially kinda peeved at the person who went on to focus in on my, very poorly worded, statement about it being more consumable, assuming i meant "sanitized, sterile, the exact opposite of what the post was about" rather than "not scary, able to be viewed after dark by folks who get scared for no reason when they're home alone, etc" so that probably made, what people thought was my opinion, so much easier for folks to just dogpile onto, like there's nothing this site does better than misreading something as objectively worse than was intended

tl;dr for anyone coming from that post to say "you're such a loser lol": yes i don't like horror/thrillers/scary stuff, but i understand it has fans, and i accept it as a genre that exists. no i don't want everything to be sanitized and corporately consumable, just consumable to your average viewer who listens to jazz so she doesn't think about what could be behind her in the dark. yes i'm aware i talk like a corporation's entire PR team trying to cover their bosses asses, its not a career path i intend to take though.

thanks for the kind and respectful ask, i am ok, and i'm aware of my mistakes, that wording was one of them, i can accept that

well. i finished tua.

let's go. my thoughts:

viktor's wig was shitty, like seriously, you couldn't put in any effort? at first i thought his coming out was done shittily too, but it got better. i'm good with it now, even though i had some issues at the beginning. i mean, the wardrobe change really wasn't necessary AT ALL. but i digress.

this season was really fucking trippy. reggie is a cockroach himself, he just can't fucking stay dead. i despise him.

the end of ep 9 left me hysterical and the end of episode 10 left me exhausted.

I CANT BELIEVE THEY FUCKING KILLED STAN AND NO ONE FUCKING CARES???? LIKE NOTHING AT ALL??? JUST BECAUSE HE ISNT ACTUALLY YOUR KID DOESNT MEAN YOU DIDNT LOVE HIM LIKE HE WAS DIEGO AND YET YOURE JUST LIKE OOPSIE HES DEAD GODDAMN

luther and sloane were ok. not anything special, but at least it's not like allison and luther. that scene where allison does that shit, ugh my god. SKY YOU FUCKING LIAR THEY KISSED TWICE AND THE SECOND TIME WAS TRAUMATIZING

well im not that surprised by klaus's immortality, but i got scared in episode 10. mostly the "void" was in full color, so i thought that meant he was dead dead. but no. apparently NOT HAVING A BODY doesn't matter and they ended episode 9 like they did to TRAUMATIZE US

harlan deserved so much better, so did fei and jamie and alphonso and christopher and marcus and-

ok so they went to this 'reverted' timeline, where everything has been tailored to allison and reg's wishes. so why is ben there and sloane isn't? why is sparrow ben there and not umbrella ben? or why is ben there at all? who chose him to be in their choice timeline? we know they could've brought back the dead, luther is an example. so why do we have sparrow ben?

im so exciteddddd we get more ray screen time, i missed himmm <333 and also we get to see allison get even more traumatized next season, but hopefully less angry

omg i cant wait for lila and diego to be parents that'll be great. and how long has it been since lila left diego? im assuming she lied when she said it'd been over a decade, but if she wasnt then the kid isn't diegos. im guessing that she isnt tho.

i wonder if they'll be allowed a choice in whether or not they want their powers back next season. we know who does want their powers back, but diego and lila seemed pretty happy without that supernatural pressure on them. also are they gonna face off with whoever created the universe? is god the villain?

im so excited to have finished bc NOW I CAN GO THROUGH THE TUA TAG WITHOUT SPOILERS <33333

ok so i just recently started microwaving it in my brain so i dont have a Ton of it fleshed out yet but basically its gonna be a fic series set in the alternate timeline where like on day One of the tournament in mk9 johnny suddenly realizes he's bisexual and is like "I'm pushing 30 and I only just now realized I could be hooking up with guys too? That's nearly three decades of lost time to make up for! Un. Ac. Ceptable." and so he decides he's going to try to sleep with as many men as possible (so like, the majority of the male characters in mk9, mkx, and mk11)

i'm thinking kung lao might end up being his sexual awakening and the first guy he sleeps with because i honestly feel like they could get along well and are a SUPER underrated ship! maybe johnny runs into kung lao the first night of the tournament and the two of them hang out for a bit, maybe have some drinks or something, johnny asks him questions about the tournament and other Lore™, and then maybe theyd have a little friendly practice sparring session where johnny ends up pinned to the ground and impulsively kisses kung lao, after which they take it to his room ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) did they even fucking have rooms on shang tsung's island? where did they sleep?? did they sleep??? idfk

i still have a lot to figure out in regards to where other hookups are gonna take place in the timeline. im thinking hanzo and kuai might be last (so probably sometime in/around mk11), and he'll hook up with both of them together bc theyre husbands <3

i've got a couple other characters i'm thinking will be package deals too. again i need to figure out timeline fuckery, but i Love erron/kabal, and i like the idea of johnny playing matchmaker, so i wanna have him meet the two of them separately and realize how much they have in common and be like "oh i know a guy i think you'll get along with" and then set up a threesome without knowing that the two of them both used to be in the black dragon together lmao (he Does manage to succeed in getting them together tho >:3c )

i might have raiden and bo' rai cho be a package deal too, partially because i love the idea of them being husbands (another beloved rare pair </3) and also because i realized that i dont actually know if johnny ever meets bo' rai cho in the alternate timeline??? so it'd be an easy way of getting him into the story lmao

windwolf is one i also Might consider as a package, but i havent seen their part of the story in mk11 yet so i'll probably wait til i watch that to think about it more

i think the last set of characters ive thought about are johnny hooking up with liu kang and kitana at the same time, and then word of that makes it over to kotal, who then invites johnny over for a good time. johnny thinks "hell yeah" and goes over to hook up with kotal, only to find that kotal also invited liu kang, kitana, jade, and reptile (i have a big complicated polyship with those 5 hjkjhgfdfghjklkjhgf). johnny ofc is not at all bothered by this, the more the merrier >:3

but yeah i think thats most of what i have in mind for now. honestly the funniest dynamic this fic concept is going to introduce is johnny taking his little personal challenge Way too seriously and being like
