i am currently in Sketch Hell as i would describe it so ill be reblogging later when i can Draw but. Ramble under the cut

Firstoff i made the design because of a handful of fics which i read and stupidly forgot to save . Namely the one where he died for alastor, angelic interference, and the one where they made a fuckup on the books. (Ill get back when i find their names) . I just wanted to make the design for the sake of it and try to make his looks fit heaven and also my interpretation of vox, so hes intended to look almost like a character youd see on an old tv show but a bit more suave. I also wanted a space age head because i mean thats The Period of innovation and while there were certainly similar designs while he was alive its more symbolic of progress than actual progress. Then my brain started doing its thing and when i start thinking about anything for more than five seconds i get a bunch of pins and red string and become a full blown theorist who needs to connect everything to worldbuilding or ill die

my angel vox.

Point the first! this isnt a vox goes straight to heaven, its canon divergence. Vox dies, goes to hell, and at the peak of his messy hell career he dies again and goes to heaven. Vox is not redeemed.

2. Vox is powerless. Heaven equalises people. It has rules, a lot of rules, and these are sown straight into their reality which cant be broken. He does however have free will and a silver tongue.

3. I think vox and sera would get along surprisingly well when it came to it. Sera is a 'tough love' sort of character, and does believe shes doing good in spite of it all, and is willing to do lesser evils. Vox cares about nothing but numbers and outcomes. This means that if they share a goal a lot of their approaches would also be shared, and i think theyd be fond of that.

4. Vox despises heaven. Just the fundamental concept of it. He does enjoy a struggle and he does enjoy pain, thats the point of being alive to him. Or well. dead. Its an uphill battle but its his uphill battle to fight. Also he just needs something to keep him occupied at all given times or he might just snap #adhd

4a. He also hates the residents, mostly because of very well earned trust issues how its not fun to talk to any of them. They just say whatever theyre thinking, no song and dance, no fine print, and vox loves fine print and searching for hidden meanings.

5. Emily is nice and almost tolerable but he would absolutely throw her off a bridge if it benefited him without second thought. He hates how much of a bleeding heart she is, but that seems to be a trait of everyone up there

6. Vox's relationship with himself is a complex mess. It always has been and heaven made it worse. Not only did it revert his body to how it was when he first fell but Angel Edition, hes barely mechanical anymore- and while being a good part machine was all part of hells punishment at the start for various psyche reasons (as well as how inconvenient it was) he had grown to worship and love his inorganic nature, and how much better it was than his faulty body . I have headcanons about that but that falls under spoiler territory for Said Fic. But heaven handing him back his flesh and blood is a massive massive violation of his boundaries and the moment he stops and actually starts thinking about what the hell has happened hes gonna break

7. The vees think vox is dead dead. Angel!vox would... have a strained relationship if he were to meet like that. On one hand, hes vox! Their vox! But like this he can't be his usual overlord self and while he trusts them enough to view them as friends, he wouldn't be able to face them as partners like this; business or otherwise. Hes horribly powerless and they need him on his A game.

WeLL here we are...i want to write s/t quick to remember the year by. cus 2023 was probly one of my most significant years of life, even tho from the surface it may appear not much changed for me, 2023 laid the foundation,,,

firstly, january 2023 i began learning to make music, which is crazy like!!!! it has absolutely given me a new reason to be lieve in myself like i nvr had b4. its like unlocking a new area of my heart, and inutuion.. its so FUN, so so fun ohhh the fun i have, provides me w a brighter outlook for the future as i will always have this melodic part of me activated,going forward. ive learned so much in just a year. idk i just love it it makes me feel wise and complete i feel like an alchemist. i cld rly say a lot on the sense of security music has made me feel in my heart :'0 but i have some other things to get to;

summer 2023 i started doing yoga which has also changed things for me dramatically i think ive released a lot of built up stagnant energy from my body & aura. since i started i feel immensely more balanced n able to work thru my emotions as they come up. ngl when ppl used to recommend me to try yoga i thout it was hippie shit but its real lol.. im finding sm contentment in day to day life than i ever thought possible, easier time being present, yet another thing i will continue for the rest of my future that 2023 has given me.

these r good things but it must b said that this year has been Soooo rough for me in certain ways, mostly due to interpersonal relationships.. some ppl had to b let go from my life this year in ways i rly wasnt expecting & for a lot of the year things were just, foggy. however as things draw to a close im feeling immensely grateful like.. every1 im close to rn are all peaceful souls & we uplift each other, i see now why the ones causing drama naturally had to fall away. even if it was painful process im feeling so supported rn, & reciprocated TwwwT <3333

idk it just felt like as i was progressing w musical understanding, yoga stuff , as well as the past few months trying to use tea and herbs to get my organs in order, i feel that.. my energetic field is rly repairing itself & so a lot of old attachments just cant keep up anymore.

i have to say, well, erm, i am really in love w slimbo and its different than anything ive ever felt in my life. we've been in love for a long long time & i dont talk about it often as i am protective of this love. but god, its just, the purest bond ive ever known and our love for each other is deeper all the time. we r both life path 27/9 & the first time we met it literally felt like.. reuniting, it felt like a celebration..i had never noticed such warmth from someone. i cld never be in such a secure place rn if it wasnt for slimbo & every day im so grateful like dude i owe you my LIFE. idk how to explain it, we are just One. slimbo is my angel i cant wait to spend 2024 & forever with <3

genuinely hate the way heaven and hell is set up in hazbin like. in all honesty. whats the point of using the dantes inferno layers of hell if you are only allowed to use the pride layer. for every sinner. why the fuck would that make sense. like. a serial killer would be in the like. idfk wrath or lust (bloodlust) layer. dantes inferno isnt even fucking canonical to the bible.

the angel designs are flat, their movements feel stilted to me, all the humans in heaven just have a color swapped monster design just like the sinners.

and no fucking shit people think alastar is fucking white, you only find out that he mixed race from somewhere else. i only found out through my friend that the guy is half black because he saw a video or something of her drawing alaster in his human form (this sounds aggressive, but i am not doing that towards you this is in total agreement wirh you)

also i think adam as an angel is stupid as shit from like the standpoint of someone who is interested in the bible in the way greek myth isnt "canonical"/is separate from greek gods

the designs look like theyre still a fucking pain to animate, and i do genuinely like a lot of the designs, i think angel dust is iconic and uh. the bat cat guy looks pretty cool, i think theyre more for like. comic books.

story feels flat and rushed, and very much like i'm watching a childrens show for adults, and i fucking hate adult shows that think putting sex, seears, blood and gore in their product is soooooo fucking mature and cool of them and its just boring and samey and it fucking sucks. if hazbin was nade by someone else i'm sufe the peoduct wouldve been handled so much better and treated the audience like adults

for the first part, of the lore. the lore gets so much more fucking confusing and lamer if you watch the spinoff helluva boss. they go into more detail & spend more time in the other layers for each episode, but theyre all so lame and predictable. the lust layer is pink and full of clubs & bars because. romance??? the greed layer is green and pretty much chicago, especially with the demon mobs (demon mobs Should sound more fun). the wrath ring is red/orange and like The Middle Western Desert that literally takes place during the Wild West from USAmerica. LIKE they made dantes inferno LAME!!! wheres the imagination??? was the best you could come up with for greed "chicago" and wrath "the wild west"???? come on

and the way heaven and hell are addressed is so much more confusing. like. the angels have a Moral code Not To Kill, even if theyre demons (in the episode the angel opposite of IMP are focused on, they lose their jobs when they indirectly kill a guy they weren't supposed to kill), which comes into direct conflict with what the angels Were ALREADY DOING IN HAZBIN???

itd be one thing if they were taking place apart from each other in the timeline, and we don't really know that ATM, but they're supposed to take place in the same universe, so they never really seem to make up their minds on what they wanna do with that???

AND LIKE the core concept of hazbin hotel is broken from the very worldbuilding the show is built on. no demon would ever wanna work on redeeming themselves by just going to a hotel, and even in cases when they do, its really just to sabotage each other, before they solve their problems like. my fucking little pony. i cant believe this was a show made for the same target group as bojack horseman or moral orel, it makes me sick

and this idea isnt broken either!!! it can work!!! the good place worked and improved on this idea In Strides and did it with much more maturity and respect for its audience than vivziepop could even do for two of her shows

like hazbin hotel & helluva boss could be improved upon, they just need Better Writers and a Stronger Vision for where the story could go. im not even being a hater Just Because (altho i am), i'm just really upset that this was the direction the show is seemingly going to with no stop. ive seen people that have looked up to vivziepop as inspiration and felt deeply betrayed when the story was shit, when the writing was horrible, its really disappointing to see. i think the only people left watching this are people who think what vivziepop is doing is good, even if she spends more than half her time online looking up her shows to try to fight back against any and all criticism

“That was one way to ruin pancake for me,” you immediately throw your  knife and fork on the table, “I cant believe you claimed your brunch right away.”

“Angel, there is no guarantee for tomorrow,” he shrugs as he stuffs his face with some of his messy mix of pancake and cream “Who knows which one of those Hanguk’s ghouls will claim you next?”

“Must have been a hell of a night,” Jimin raises an eyebrow suspiciously as he looks between him and you before adding “should we order some fruit salad Angel?”

“What-“ you furrow your eyebrows, finding the guy’s question slightly random

“I’m craving pineapples and cranberries,” Jimin murmurs, eyes still fixed on Jungkook and your face falls as you realize where the guy was going with his question

 You’re too scared to look at Jungkook but you decide to spare him a glance as he finally speaks up after a long pause.

“Enjoy your fruit salad!” he spits in a sarcastic tone, tongue darting to the corner of his cheek as he turns around and leaves the café, Taehyung calling his name and following after him.

“What the fuck Park?” you ask as you bring your angry eyes to the guy sitting across you

“I know you may have heard this a lot,” He says in a stern tone that catches you off guard “but he doesn’t deserve you angel,” he sighs, eyes shifting in a concerned manner

You stare back at the guy, lips parting to respond but nothing leaving your lips as you realize the words are exactly the reality check you needed at that moment. You lower your gaze, hand reaching for your knife to continue cutting your pancake.

“We’re having the next meal in SNU.” you state making the guy against you laugh quietly, easing the tension between you as you both continue to eat.

It’s another night at the training and you’re back at your usual routine, doing a few straps and massages before the game and sorting out the minor injuries from the previous game.

You’ve seen Jungkook entering the training room earlier but decided to play along as he just walked past you without saying anything. Something deep inside you slightly sank at the thought of your short-lived moment with the guy from the night before now being only a long-forgotten memory.

You quickly finish up the few straps you’re left with and clean up your treatment desk, making your way to the seminar room. Most of the guys are already settled there and talking amongst themselves, so you just look for a chair at the back but hear Tae calling for you.

“Here Sugar,” he waves and taps the empty chair beside him which happens to be between him and Jungkook

“T-Thanks,” you nod, secretly hating the guy for being overly helpful as you settle beside him and Jungkook, bringing your eyes to the latter “Hey, Jeon!” you say, trying to sound neutral

“Hey!” he nods with an hollow tone and you decide his dry tone is enough to end the conversation

Your eyes widen, snapping towards where the guy is pointing at, watching the guy talking casually with Hoseok and Dr Kim. The rush of emotions starts to overwhelm your brain, the last time you saw him, and the memories associated with him all carving a fresh wound in your heart.

“Shall we start?” He speaks up in his usual quiet but stern tone “You guys must be dying to get back on the field!” he chuckles, eyes curling as he looks around the room

Please don’t see me, please don’t see me, you pray silently as you try to make yourself shorter than everyone else, but not surprisingly the Hanguk’s former captain spots you right away as he glances at the row you’re sitting in and flashes you a knowing smile.

“As you know I’ve started playing for nationals last year,” he explains as he grabs a bunch of brochures and passes them to the front row “They gave me the privilege to come and scout a couple of you for next year,” he explains with a proud smile “If anyone is interested, you can speak to me or Hosoeok and I will keep my eyes on you in the finals.”

You lower your gaze, clenching your fist to control your shaking hand as you go through all seven stages of grief. How could he just stand there, look so handsome as always and act so non-chalant, smiling so brightly into your face when he knows what he’s done before leaving broke you into pieces.

You shut your eyes closed, gathering all the strength in your body to your feet and finally standing up to rush out of the room.

“W-Where are you going?” Jungkook asks, holding your wrist as he looks at you with worried eyes

“I-I forgot something!” you mutter the petty excuse weakly before rushing out of the seminar room and back to your work desk.

The rush of tears rolls down your eyes as soon as you’re back in that room and you press your palm to silent yourself. You don’t want the whole Hanguk’s soccer club knowing you’re still not over the fact that their former captain cheated on you.

“Hey,” you gasp as you hear the familiar voice and before you can react you feel a firm grip around your arm, pulling you around “Are you okay-“ the guy’s words dry on his lips as soon as he sees your tears “What the fuck? What happened?” Jungkook asks in a rushed tone, trying to meet your gaze for an answer

“N-Nothing,” you respond, averting your gaze and quickly wiping your tears “Its an allergy.”

“Don’t lie,” he scolds as he steps closer and stop the harsh touch of your hand on your eyes, replacing it with his slender fingers to wipe your tears “Sshhh,” he murmurs wrapping his arm around your waist and pulling you closer to his chest “You don’t need to tell me,”He whispers as he strokes your back soothingly.

i don't have much i like written in english bc they just feel so bland compared to those i have read of persian or turkish or arabic or urdu or hindi poems (really im realising that i was never exposed to western poetry as a child lol) but i do love "still i rise" by maya angelou! i read a collection of her poetry once a while ago and her words are just beautiful.

"biliyorum sana giden" by cemal süreyya is one of my absolute favourites :') i wish i could give you a proper translation of it it's just so </3 "utansın" by necip fazıl kısakürek is another one of the classics that i adore with my entire being :( he also wrote this one short line that had me gutted for an entire day when i read it called "affet", which translates to "forgive (me)" and it's so, so heartbreaking to me.
