Berlinale

Today let's talk about Berlinale! Berlinale is "The Berlin International Film Festival". I think I don't need to say which city host that event 🤫 It was founded 72 years ago and this year was 73rd festival! Awards in the field of cinematography are awarded here. Jury always makes sure that films from all over the world are presented. This year's event lasted 10 days. Prizes are awarded for 13 categories (some are split). Update on my capitalia idea:

Instead of being the near same age as the country, their ages are closer to adolescence and late teens (15-19ish) since they age a lot slower than the average country. Also, they usually handle being spies and getting private information on dangers that could hurt the country. However only certain government officials know of that and they each have one to make sure the respective capital is safe. The countries (both 1p and 2p) do not know of them because of how obscure they make themselves, however they have interacted with them unknowingly.

The Quasi-Immortality of Nations and Cities

Um...

I know this is kinda boring and I don't do many interesting things here but...

If anyone is interested, I'm going to explain the capitals, cities and provinces a little bit, as well as getting into the mortality of nations a little, at least in this particular universe.

Nations heal very fast from major wounds, healing progressively faster the more serious it is, and it's usually very hard to kill them. However, if they receive incredible and constant damage or something like that, and even their advanced healing can't keep up, they can go into a somewhat deathlike state, all body functions stopping except for the brain, though only the part associated with the subconscious. Their body is by all means like a regular corpse in this time, except it will heal almost instantly and will not rot. Nations have no real memory of this time. The only way to truly kill them is by destroying their nation. It is said that nations are born when one of the first few of a nation, usually children, dies. Instead of actually dying, they will become connected to the land and the people. This is not saying that the first child who dies will become a nation, but it is unknown what the criteria to become a nation may be.

Cities, including capitals, are made the same way as nations are, but the circumstances surrounding their mortality are a little bit different. After their first "death", while they still heal quite fast, if not as fast as the nations, they do not have the benefit of the "death trance". While they age in the same way nations do, they can die in mundane ways such as car crashes. After a representative dies, there is nothing left to do but wait for the next unlucky victim. Again, there is no real pattern in this, and cities often have completely different personalities than their predecessors, though not always. Many of these cities lose the memories of their past civilian lives slowly, though there are exeptions. This is a reason many cities may not have as much paperwork and such, since they're replaced kind of frequently, and the newbies often don't know what they're doing. Because of this, unlike nations, some cities view their human names as their 'true' names as their a little closer to human than a nation would be. They're basically the half-elves of the nation world.

Not really sure what's up with provinces, territories, states, prefectures, micronations etc. Sorry!

No, capital cities aren't their nations' children. I refuse this, given that capital cities can be older than their nations. Your child can't be older than you. Capital cities of certain nations were also founded by other nations, this is also possible. (I personally don't think they can be siblings too, nations appear through different people from different places come together).
