Life as a JGY stan is so hard because sometimes I want to make posts about the ways his very justified paranoia turns against him sometimes, rare moments where I think being more trusting or vulnerable would have helped but he felt like it couldnt, or talk about how his brutal survival instinct intersects with society's existing bigotries in a such a way that most of his violence is actually aimed at people lower on the ladder than him, with people like Jin Guangshan being the exception not the rule. Because he's a fascinating character and these parts of him are interesting!
But when I do that I have to live in perpetual fear of the moment that it escapes its target audience and someone takes it to go "Yeah he's a monster who fucked over everyone and is incapable of love! I wish he was killed earlier and his death was a thousand times more painful 🤪"
I mean, take my last example. Due to existing hierarchies it is, at any point, easier and safer for jgy to harm people less powerful than him instead of more powerful than him, even if the more powerful are the ones threatening his safety in the first place. Even knowing how it harms him and while working against it, Jin Guangyao is not immune to internalizing the mindset of the world he lives in. Even when killing Jin Guangshan- one man- it ends up costing the lives of 20 sex workers. You think I can bring up the sex workers in this fucking fandom? You think that will go over peacefully? The well has been so thoroughly poisoned here it feels like any conversation around morality automatically turns into a courtroom to determine a sentence for this fictional fucking character who's already dead.

The Republicans thrive on taking away basic human rights away.
The Democrats thrive on dangling human rights as a way to get re-elected year after year, then if they ever actually give you it, you still have to pay for the right to have your rights.
The two parties do not respect your rights. They simply do not see us as equals, but as subjects.

I'm pretty avidly against cancel culture from the perspective of those mindsets reoccurring in daily interpersonal relationships and the damage it has on mental health, definitions of justice and social cohesion, but sometimes I take a step back from that and think that "wow. even against men in power, this is very counterproductive."
hear me out.
largely, cancel culture was kind of birthed as its own separated practise at the same sort of Internet time period as the #MeToo movement first gained traction, and the original intentions of this was to hold dangerous men in power accountable and to deplatform them. I could go on a whole separate ramble about accountability, justice and deplatforming, but that's not the point of this post. at its core at the beginning, cancel culture was held with good intention to hold bad, powerful, rich people accountable.
right?
but there's irony in this. because what cancel culture has degenerated into has become a much more concerning, damaging issue, mainly to friendship circles, community cohesion and minority groups. these powerful, dangerous men that this movement was originally supposed to be against, aka, the 1% of wealth, the people behind media censorship, the CEOs of social media and people in government, for example, have very cleverly over the past 5 or 6 years(ish) drip fed subtle, psychological techniques to take this notion of cancel culture and use it to pit communities against each other. they have successfully turned the collective internet's attention away from them and towards each other.
at the end of the day, these aren't left vs right issues, although that's what these people would have you believe. this should be all of us vs them. the small but dangerously powerful statistical minority.
isn't it fucked up? isn't it fucked up that we are all so caught up in these echo chambers carefully constructed by those who wish to distract us that we have forgotten the main issues? isn't it fucked up that we're more focused on digging up dirt and harassing our neighbours, our friends, our community members, instead of actually bothering to fight for the justice we claim to desire?
and the most damning of it all, is that every post, every tweet in an argumentative thread, every reblog that spreads doxxing information about a teenager who said a slur once, every comment on a post trying to cancel a minority who has simply made a human mistake, is money in the pockets of those controlling this. the evil, twisted people that we should be putting our efforts into fighting against are profiting off of the movement that was supposed to take them down.
so, above the sociopolitical and interpersonal reasons I can't abide cancel culture, this is most significant to me. how deeply counterproductive it is.
the powerful men turn us against each other over the shield of computer screens and keyboards, we fall into mass echo chamber delusion and pick fights and cancel campaigns against each other, and they sit back and watch in delight that the long term coercion they've had over the media's dynamic is finally paying off. literally paying off.
so stop wasting what you think is activism on old tweets from one of your old high school buddies where they said something shitty. stop wasting this energy on taking down the people on the same societal standing as you. stop letting yourself get so enraged over somebody having a conflicting opinion to you, and start channelling that anger into the shit that the far left actually stands for: revolution.
because cancel culture isn't left. it just isn't. it isn't activism.
that's what the powerful, dangerous people in power would like you to think.

pisses me off that the books vs fanfiction thing is seen as books=quality fic=bad that has ppl who like fanfic being like well fic is like books bc it's good sometimes. which is so not the point fanfiction and publishing refers to different social spheres of production w their own dynamic values goals groups interests etc etc. which is why they're separate and i always find it so like mean to fanfiction which is what it is and has its own practice and spaces to say well but you see it's like this other thing. i mean why does something made by people for fun for free as a means to discuss and interact with a different sphere of fiction and to offer a different space to publishing and televised etc etc work that does not at all follow its logic have to try to pass itself as the more legitimate work. cant you just say yeah i read fanfiction. sometimes dean and cas fuck in the ass in there. which means something to me and many people. and has pissed off television executives for over a decade -> 😁. like it's just its own independent field and that's not bad that's good that allows it to exist as fanfiction as we know it and it is not desirable for it to assimilate into another type of thing. it's as annoying as when people try to advertise books by tropes that look like ao3 tags. also if when a fic is good it means it's like a book then by that logic a book that is bad equals fanfiction. but it doesn't work that way does it. it's good actually to have things that are different from each other. seriously

i love reading about the social war because people will talk about 'italian allies' and absolutely not clarify whether they mean the allies who are currently allied to rome against the other allies or the former allies that are actively fighting against the romans and their allies the current allies. but that won't stop them using that phrase for both those groups anyways

You know as much as I hate Flynn Fenton it would have been interesting if the backstory Hartman proposed in that lame video was true, and he did exist in the canon timeline. Just because of how the math works out and how it would have affected the show’s story.
Because if he did exist in canon, we the viewers and Danny would have encountered, met, and learned about what happened to Flynn without anyone ever mentioning him, or Danny even encountering him in the Ghost Zone as Exodus*.
*Which is another dumb thing I hate and I’m getting rid of. No Exodus only Flynn.
The thing is that Flynn is 8 years older than Danny. Danny got his powers at age 14, which is the same year as his parents and Vlad’s 20 year collage reunion. Flynn would have been 22 at the time Danny got his powers.
Meaning he would have been alive, well, and 2 years old at the point of the proto-portal accident that turned Vlad half-ghost.
Implying one thing:
Flynn is biologically just Maddie’s kid, from a previous relationship back in her hometown, where Flynn is staying with her family while she goes to collage. [Flynn’s green eyes, the fact that he’s nowhere to be seen at the collage.] She meets both Vlad and Jack at the same time and become friends, and she and Jack eventually start dating and get married after collage, and Jack adopts Flynn as a Fenton.
Vlad and Jack were roommates, and Jack is the kind of man to never shut up about his kids in canon unless he’s ranting about ghosts. So if Flynn was Jack’s kid by blood, Vlad would have known about him, and Jack’s relationship with Maddie with in an hour of knowing him.
I also don’t think Jack and Vlad would have been roommates if Jack was already with Maddie in some kind of capacity before collage. So Jack can’t be Flynn’s biological father.
So if Flynn existed in canon, we and Danny would be introduced to Flynn, even if indirectly, in the episode Masters of All Time. Where Danny goes back in time to change the proto-portal accident, and stop Vlad from becoming a Halfa, leading to Jack becoming a Halfa instead, and Vlad and Maddie end up married.
Remember Flynn would already exist and be 2 years old by the time of the proto-portal accident, irregardless of the accident itself and who ends up half dead in the aftermath of it. So in a timeline where Jack ends up as Jack Plasmius and Maddie ends up as Maddie Masters, Flynn is still in the picture irregardless.
Danny would have at the very least encountered pictures of a redheaded green eyed boy, teen, and eventual adult scattered through out Vlad’s castle. He would have heard about Flynn going off to collage, about Vlad adopting Flynn as Flynn Masters after he and Maddie married.
About Flynn being born from before his mom met Jack or Vlad, meaning he would be his (Danny) and Jazz’s older half brother. Who Danny had no idea even existed for some reason.
Heck, Flynn could have very well been home visiting, or live at home with Maddie and Vlad. Or Vlad or Maddie could have called him back home after a strange young boy showed up on their doorstep calling Maddie mom.
Danny could have physically met Flynn, could have even found himself enjoying his company. Finding things in common with this strange older boy, who was supposed to be in his life, but isn’t for some reason. Things that Flynn did that reminded Danny of himself, reminded him of Jazz.
Maybe it’s Flynn who believes Danny when he says he comes from a parallel timeline, and he accepts this nervous kid as his baby brother. Maybe it’s not Maddie or Jack who tell Danny he has to fix the timeline back to how it used to be, it’s Flynn.
Because how could Maddie ask this boy she barely knows, even if he is her son from another timeline, to change the timeline. From one where she knows that her first born son, the only child she’d gotten to have in this life, is safe and healthy, and if not happy is at least alive. And change it to one where no one knows what happened to him, and she’s gone so far as to hide his very existence from her youngest son.
Even if she’s somehow, in spite of the loss of her oldest son deliriously happy and in love with her husband, doing what she loves. Even if she has a daughter she wants to meet, and a younger son she wants to get to know.
How could she trade the life of the child she’d loved and raised for 22 years, for a boy she barely knows, and the concept of a daughter? No matter how angry she is at Vlad for lying to her and manipulating her into staying with him for years, or how much of a missed opportunity everything with Jack feels like, she can’t bring herself to ask this strange boy who is also somehow her son to change anything at all.
Flynn who’s 22 years old and lived a life full of secrets and subterfuge looks this 14 year old kid in the face, who’s so obviously used to hiding things from everyone around him. And he says, “You do what you have to do to get things back to how they’re meant to be. Don’t worry about me Kid I’ll be fine, no matter what happens. You worry about yourself, and Jazz, and your friends. In that order, alright. Trust that I can handle myself, and we’ll find each other, alright.”
[”You shouldn’t tell Daddy about Mommy’s hobby Sweetie, he won’t like it. And well I’m not hurting anyone now am I?” as his mother toiled away for hours in a secret room he’d been asked to lie to his father about existing.
“Well Champ sometimes we have to keep things from the ones we love to protect them,” as his new (at the time) father burned the letters from an old collage friend named Fenton asking if he could meet up with his parents and talk.]
And when Danny, frantic, asks, “But what if we don’t? What if I never find you!?”
The red haired man smiles, shrugs and bitterly says, “Then that’s just how it’s meant to be. If you had to change the entire timeline for me to be here, then chances are I’m not where I’m supposed to be anymore than you are right now.”
So Danny does go back to the proto-portal incident, and makes sure Vlad Masters is the one hit by the portal. He learns the cause of ecto-acne and goes back to his original timeline. With the ecto-acne situation resolved Danny has something else he has to focus on.
What happened to Flynn, and how exactly was he going to find him and bring him home?
[I also like to imagine that Danny has a picture with the Flynn Masters version of Flynn. Something he shows Jazz when he inevitably confronts her about the whole “Older brother no one in the family thought I should know about” confrontation that would obviously happen at some point.
Danny can’t exactly confront their parents about Flynn, they have information on him locked down tighter than anything else in their life, and Danny didn’t even have a hint of Flynn’s existence before crossing into another timeline.
So trying to learn more about Flynn and possibly how he disappeared falls to Jazz in this case.]

the Trump Pit
Jan 6 2025
Emily screamed at the top of her lungs ‘I can’t take this fascist oppression anymore!” She said with a California valley girl accent. “Yass queen you go” said Amy. “I don’t wanna be in the Donald Trump pit anymore!” Yelled Emily, as she accessed Twitter to tweet about it. The Donald Trump pit was first conceived by some fat red neck as a place to throw commies who hate the U.S. A 6’3 white male was thrown in the pit, named Ivan Shenovich, wanted for counter intelligence, and support towards rossiya. Even tho Putin and Trump were together, his commie ways didn’t fit our precious red white and blue. “Fucking Americans…” he groaned. He heard people scream ‘it’s punishment time!’ This confused Ivan…he thought being in the Trump pit was enough of a punishment itself. Suddenly he heard the song ‘America, fuck yeah!’ As a 500 pound redneck sped towards him on a mobility scooter with a belt in his left hand, a MAGA hat on his head, and a shirt with the U.S. flag. The back of the mobility scooter had a U.S. and a trump flag on it. Ivan knew his days of America-hating was over, the redneck whipped him aggressively “DAMN COMMIE SCUM!” He yelled with a deep southern accent. He felt the power of America get whipped into him. He cried ‘SUKAAA BLYATTT’ and fell onto the floor…feeling the mobility scooter run him over. He saw the scooter speed towards a bunch of hair dyed Californian girlies as he slowly passed on…
San Diego, california
A man named Con Nguyen was wanking it on his porch to the thought of Ho Chi Minh. “….mmm fuuuu……i wish i fought for the vc…” he moans, suddenly he felt something grab his ass and drag him under. He was, indeed going to the Trump pit, like anyone else who said something remotely positive towards communism.
The Trump pit

We all love the Trump pit 🏛️🇺🇸🫶💰

Communism for women
Romania had the full extent of what happens when abortions are made illegal, there is no access to contraceptions and no sex ex, while at the same time pushing the propaganda that a woman's duty to her country and what will make her the most fulfilled is to have children (as many as she could).
All the gruesome details of how it affected women's lives at every level and the generational trauma that was left behind, is documented here:
