Skein is correct! These are all technically hanks, but people will also call them skeins and that's kind of correct as well, so -shrug-

Anyway, these are in no particular order, but I've been thinking about this all day:

Cloudborn Pima Cotton DK in Burgundy - this one is on here because it's going to be part of a Huge Maroon Sweater, which is something I value having and haven't had a casual version of since college, which is devastating to me

SweetGeorgia FlaxenSilk Fine in Strawberry Tea - I mean. It's strawberry. It's pinky-purpley. It's soft. I have two skeins of this color in total, because it's going in a shawl with...

SweetGeorgia FlaxenSilk Fine in Rainbow Sprinkles - I've had this for years, and initially got it to make socks with, then decided to make gloves, then decided to just chuck it in a shawl and have done with it. And also, that name. Need I say more?

BzyPeach Pima Cotton DK in Jamun Plum - I've also had this one for years, it keeps getting reassigned from project to project. It was supposed to go with some dark grey yarn as a colorwork project, but that got cannibalized for a test knit, so now I have two skeins of this and nothing to do with them. I am accepting ideas, including getting more yarn to pair it with.

LeRoo Cotton Pima Cotton Fingering in Rainbow Brite - did I save the best for last? Probably. I have a couple skeins of this, and will be using them in a colorwork yoke sweater with a main color of black. It's going to be awesome, and I'm really looking forward to having it to wear!

As she tugged on the cord next to the window, Masha couldn’t help but be reminded of a stage play by the way the warm, orange sunlight hit their mother- like a spotlight turning on at the lifting of the curtain. The angle also didn’t help, Placing Masha in such a position that mom was framed as a silhouette, like they were watching from the wings at the opening moments of a play.

my answer:

That isn’t to say that there’s no blue around her- there’s plenty, just not the Blue that matters. Theres the Blue streetlights, casting a light that’s almost negligible in the screaming buzz of neon billboards and signs, some of which are blue. The light- so sharp and loud its almost toxic- Cuts through the rain, and bounces off of the layer of water covering the street, and fills the thin mist that’s gathering above the ground, giving the entire street the feeling of being a mix of nightclub and dream. There’s blue everywhere around Red, but it only serves to remind her of the overwhelming need inside her- it’s like handing a cold person a candle, providing just enough warmth to dangle the possibility of comfort in front of them, but not nearly enough to stave off the cold.

If youve been wondering why ive coloured the headers up until this point, heres your answer: the blue bit.

whoops, ive used my blue bits already at the top. Well, i did just remeber teh one other time i focussed on the colour blue. behold,

They also noted the fact that it was a crumpled mess. A coat shouldn’t be so messy and yet look so good on someone, they thought with a pang of jealousy. The coat wasn’t the only thing that was a mess though. The girl wearing it looked like she hadn’t slept in a while, indicated by light bags under her eyes that she obviously hadn’t tried to conceal.

“Oh my god, Luz, are you okay?” Gus asks.  Luz waves him off, eyes watering, as she manages to emerge from beneath the desk to look at the new person.

It’s really true.  Amity Blight is standing at the front desk.  She’s tapping her long black nails on the counter as she talks to Willow, who is completely oblivious to the fact that a goddess is standing in front of her.
